(II) Choice

On the morning of November 4, 1999, in a detention center of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau, seven
young female prisoners in shackles sat in their individual cells, discussing their death sentences with their lawyers. Most of
them had already passed the fear period following the first-instance judgment and had already guessed the outcome of the appeal, so they were able to
calmly discuss the issue of death.

Ye Xiaolei was a 32-year-old woman, excellent in both appearance and figure, but unfortunately, she loved playing
mahjong and lost over 200,000 yuan at a time, which led her to commit a heinous crime. She conspired with her lover to break into her home and murder her female mahjong

her buttocks and labia majora and minora. Ye Xiaolei remembered that she had been shot twice there, but she couldn't see anything
until one of the men pointed with his finger, and she realized that the two shots had entered Wei Qiuling's anus and vagina respectively.

The formal dissection began. The surgeon used a knife to cut from Wei Qiuling's neck to her mons pubis
, repeating this several times to cut open several different tissue layers. Then, they made transverse cuts along the lower edge of her
ribcage and her abdominal groin, and then used special dissecting forceps to pull her abdominal wall open and fix it to both sides,
completely exposing everything inside her abdominal cavity. Next, they used bone shears to cut her sternum and ribs, and
lifted the chest wall along with her two breasts to both sides, completely opening her abdomen.

Then, they began examining the shooting. The video showed that the first shot
penetrated Wei Qiuling's abdomen through her waist; the second shot entered her right rear chest, exiting and destroying her nipple; the third shot entered her buttocks,
but the bullet lodged in her hip bone and failed to penetrate her body; the fourth and fifth shots were not found; the sixth shot entered her left rear chest,
penetrating the upper part of her left breast, almost hitting her heart; the seventh shot was the final, fatal bullet, entering through her left nipple,
passing through her heart, and hitting a nerve bundle in her spine, but the bullet did not exit.

Now, they began searching for the fourth and fifth bullets. They first examined her vulva, and the burn marks on her
pubic hair indicated that the bullet had entered through her vagina. They began dissecting her genitals, first
cutting open the soft tissue at the mons pubis, then cutting open the pubic symphysis. Next, they cut her entire vulva in
half from the center. Through the cut vagina, they found that the bullet had entered through the vagina and exited through the vaginal fornix. Following this
direction, they finally found the fifth bullet in her occipital region. Next, they cut open her perineum,

in a small courtyard in the center of the institute. The conditions here were much better, with not only various good living facilities, but also various exercise
equipment, and even a beauty room specially set up for female prisoners. The prisoners were no longer held in single cells, but
could freely group together, two people per cell, the cells were unlocked and directly connected to the courtyard. Their steel shackles were also
removed, but the female prisoners knew in their hearts that the more free a place seemed on the surface, the less free it was, so none
