The Silver Dragon's Journey: The Everlasting Castle

    page views:1  Publication date:2023-06-11 19:38:40
"The Silver Dragon's Journey" is a series of short stories I occasionally write as a fan of works similar to "Witch's Journey"
and "Kino's Journey." They share a common but subtle main theme—the protagonist is the eternal and free silver dragon Noel, and the people and events she encounters in various eras and places. It's like a fable. Although it's considered erotica, it's more plot-driven than purely erotic. For example, in this story, the explicit content only appears at the end.

While I feel a bit apologetic to readers who want explicit content, I've always had a feeling that there are many interesting but overly reserved stories in this world. Letting these stories lower their standards and become more alluring and seductive would be more interesting. This is also the direction I'm currently taking.
I also considered whether this story needed to be published on sis, but in the end, I thought, what if someone likes it? So I published it.
Comments and support are welcome.

Prologue:

In a torrential downpour, a ragged little boy runs, his hand holding that of a silver-haired girl in blue.

Night has fallen, and the two, soaking wet and panting, crawl into a makeshift shack. A relieved smile appeared on the little boy's face, his hair plastered to his skin.

It was a makeshift hut he'd built himself from rubble, trees, and thatch. For someone who looked no more than six or seven years old, it was an incredibly difficult feat.

But, welcoming a beautiful young girl on such a rainy night, perhaps it was worth it. Because that girl was none other than me, the Silver Dragon Noel. The Silver Dragon, capable of miracles, would not forget to repay those who had shown me kindness. Especially not the little boy who had given me shelter in this sudden downpour.

"Big sister, this is my home, I made it myself!" "

What a cozy little home. Thank you."

"Is...is that so?" The little boy blushed.

I took off my wet, clinging coat. But he's just a child, it doesn't really matter.

"Big sister, you're so beautiful. Grandma's round and white too, so pretty!" (

I take back what I said earlier, he's quite the little lecher.)

Although, I didn't intend to stoop to his level.

I sat on the stone bed, leaning against the wall formed by the trees. My hands were wringing my coat, water dripping onto the ground. The little boy imitated me, taking off his tattered linen coat and wringing it dry.

"Big sister, I... I'm called Eddie, I'm seven years old!"

"Little Eddie? Why do you live here alone?"

"My mother and I came to this country on a long journey by horse-drawn carriage to do business, but we were attacked by bad guys. My father is long gone, and my mother... she died then too. After that, I escaped on my own, looked for food, and then, I built this here..." "

..."

"Sister, what's your name?"

Me?

"An elf from a distant time and space. Transformed into a silver dragon at the wish of a certain girl. My name is, Silver Dragon Noel."

"A silver dragon, so powerful! And beautiful! Like a fairy!"

"Little Eddie, what a sensible child. As a return gift for your hospitality, I have a question for you… Would you like to sign a contract with your older sister?"

Seventy

"Decades ago, an evil dragon brought a tyrant to this country. He overthrew everything, robbing us of our memories of tradition. He destroyed our souls and severed our roots. It's called Dragon's Rest Palace! A tyrant's evil fortress built with our blood and sweat! We are finally going to tear down this fortress, make this evil palace collapse, and drag that tyrant out!"

...

In a certain capital city of a certain country. People surrounded the small castle.

The leader, at the head, shouted hysterically in the square. His voice drifted far to every corner of the castle.

Inside the empty, desolate castle, in the highest attic, a greyish-white man lay on a bed by the window. His age was hard to estimate from his appearance; he seemed quite old, yet his eyes still held a focused light.

Footsteps approached. Those faint yet crisp footsteps could only belong to a light-footed girl.

The man's lips twitched slightly.

"I wonder how many years have passed; your figure is like a dream. You've finally come. Miss Silver Dragon..."

I've come to find you. After so long.

I approached him. When I was a few steps away from the bedside, I silently stopped. Then, his gaze slowly turned towards me, and his zombie-like, withered face seemed to soften instantly. Or perhaps it was just an illusion.

"Very perceptive. I clearly didn't knock."

"That's because I was listening to the sounds outside. Just by listening to the changes in the noise, I knew what kind of important visitor was coming."

"There are so many people. Do you spend every day lying in this bed listening to these sounds?"

"Every day? More or less. For a long time, both I and they have been lying here like this, listening to their shouts, how they would devour me alive if they rushed in."

"What happened? What did you do to deserve this end? My old king."

7

"Hey hey hey hey! Sister, sister is a dragon, a legendary dragon!"

"Yes, to thank you, I can grant you any wish with the power of miracles. Of course, it's based on an exchange. That's the contract."

"Any, any wish! Even a miracle!"

"Even a miracle."

"Even if it's incredibly difficult?"

"If it's difficult, just do it slowly. For a silver dragon, time has no meaning."

"If I want to find my mother, is that possible?"

I remained silent. In a sense, it could indeed be done using some strange methods.

"If you really want it, in a sense it is possible. However, everything up to today will be erased."

"...No, it's okay. I know Mom can't come back. Sister is so kind."

Suddenly, I moved closer to the little boy and gently hugged him.

"Poor child..."

I squinted, murmuring to myself. His small, thin body, his skin still a little cold from the shower, clung to me. I felt him trembling slightly.

From my unnoticed perspective, his face flushed even more.

"Thank you, sister. Then, I hope everyone can be happy and live a good life. Can that be done too?"

"While that's too general, it can be done according to your desired form,"

the little boy said.

"But what can I give you, sister?"

"The price?" The beautiful girl smiled.

"Isn't a small house that shelters me from the wind and rain enough?"

70

"I've dreamt many times about what you'll look like when you arrive. But I never imagined that when you actually come, your silver hair and blue robes will be exactly the same as they were sixty years ago... exactly the same as that day."

"You haven't answered my question yet, Your Majesty."

"Weren't you here to reclaim my contract, Silver Dragon? Why make everything so clear?"

My face darkened.

"That's right, I'm here to reclaim the contract. Because your time is up. As a contractor, at least I can sense your death. So I woke up, no... and came here. But... I didn't expect that even if you want to abuse the power of eternity, you still want to maintain this corrupt rule."

Yes. That was my contract with him. The only reason I came here is this. To put an end to a contract that has lasted for sixty years. My courtyard. [Dragon's Rest Castle], built for me by the man before me. His final answer to me in order to fulfill our contract. So I can only accept it without hesitation. But this ending is not what I hoped for.

"Corruption... is it? It certainly seems so."

The man chuckled, but where does this come from? I still want to hear your explanation.

"This brand-new yet empty castle, how much blood and sweat of the people was used to build it? And its emptiness and desolation, apart from this room, devoid of any human life. You, as king, must be quite unpopular."

"That is truly shameful,"

the king sighed.

"Indeed, those outside all want to kill me. For years, they've probably wanted to, driven by a burning desire. But they can't, because this will ultimately be your castle, right? Naturally, I can't let them set foot here. I'm sorry. Your courtyard is being disturbed by those people."

I sneered.

"It doesn't matter. I just want to know, how did you use the Stone of Eternity in the end? Is that why you were able to die peacefully despite being called a tyrant? To ensure your rule lasts forever? To make you invulnerable to swords and poisons? I remember telling you—" "

【Without gold, it can be generated from the sky. Without happiness, it can be fabricated. So-called eternity is nothing but an illusion. Overdrawn prosperity will inevitably be reclaimed one day.】"

...

"I admit it. I did use the power of the Stone of Eternity to allow me to see you properly one last time in this humble castle." "

...Why did that child who prayed for everyone's happiness..."

"But I didn't use any of your power to achieve everything I have today. It's too heartbreaking to say that, Sister Noelle."

"...You..."

I suddenly realized something, staring in shock at the old man lying on the bed. His face had become blurred, strange, and in an impossible distortion of light, his wrinkles disappeared.

"Since our contract has come to an end, then my long wait has finally come to an end."

"Could it be that you used the Stone of Eternity on...?"

I finally thought of that possibility.

The man's face was changing rapidly, becoming younger, like a middle-aged man, and every second, his appearance was rapidly "reversing." Bizarre shadows spun rapidly around the man's body.

Even as I tried my best to use my superhuman senses to discern the content of these shadows, I could only barely recognize—it was probably the trajectory of this man's entire past life.

According to the vocabulary of distant time and space.

It was like a revolving lantern before a person's death.

It was like rewinding an image.

The man's time, irresistibly reversed at this moment by some external force, along with his existence and the facts of history. But only dragons, who transcend space and time, could perceive this shift in fate.

In the void, the echo of his words from moments before reverberated.

"...I've locked myself to this [Dragon's Rest Fortress]. And today, it's time to pay the price. Sister Noel. Could you please allow me to lie in your arms one more time?"

The man's face had faded back to that of someone in their fifties.

That was over ten years ago. He stood atop the castle tower, gazing blankly at the visitors below, a man also an old man, dressed in fine clothes but with a haggard and aged face. "My once loyal right hand, my old friend. It's been so long, I never thought I'd see you again." "Damn it, Eddie. You really didn't lie to me at all, this evil power. I've given up." "I told you long ago. No one can destroy this city in the slightest. You just never believed me. And then, what are you here to tell me?" "I'm tired. Eddie. This pointless fighting has lasted a lifetime. What's the point? All the people see is that the capital is still cursed, their old king still alone atop the city, watching them, unable to escape the sins and shadows of the past." " Perhaps. Perhaps that's true, but my choice has nothing to do with you, nothing to do with the people, it's my personal matter." "Eddie. You…." "Believe me. I'm this old now, I might breathe my last tomorrow. You really don't plan to come out? Really? After so much self-imposed confinement, you really don't plan to see the people of your country at all? I've already drafted a pardon; you can live the rest of your life as an honorary citizen. I don't want to fight anymore. Look me in the eyes, you know me, you know I'm not lying." The man paused for a moment. But his expression didn't change, and his tone remained unwavering. "Ten years from now, another group will replace you, clamoring to kill me just like they did ten years ago. They always have anger to vent, they need the best target to attack. It's always been like this, from when I ascended the throne to when I lost it. This has never changed. It's always happening. But it doesn't matter to me anymore. Go back. Old friend, the kind-hearted you might not live past tomorrow. I've made this mistake before. I know it all too well." "I won't forgive you, Eddie. I won't forgive you." "We're both old. Save it, Jem." —That was you ten years ago? "Yes." The man smiled at me. "How long have you been in this castle? Is the reason this castle hasn't fallen...?" The man didn't speak; his face had reverted to that of someone around forty years old. I hurried towards him and sat beside his bed. He smiled at me, the fleeting images in the air still shifting rapidly. ○ 40 That was an image from twenty years ago. He, too, didn't look particularly old but was extremely weathered and withered, and too, stood on the castle tower, blankly gazing at the army below. "I never imagined that the first enemy army this city would welcome would be led by you. My loyal right hand." "I am no longer the Hand of the King, Eddie. I represent the people. Here is the army of the new era. And you, are an unforgivable tyrant, the king of the past, the 'Outsider'." " Is that so? The King of the Outsider. This name seems like a true title; I truly never expected it. Should I say you always predict so accurately?"

"You should know the irony in this name. Because you are no longer king, Eddie. The citizens' council has deposed you from the throne."

"Heh, heh heh heh. Is that so? How ironic. I should have known. It's all meaningless. The important things were never on that throne. I should have known."

"Admit defeat. Get out of your precious castle. If you don't agree, we'll bomb you and your castle to smithereens with our latest artillery."

"Many have done this. I still remember the humiliating defeat of that so-called elite mage mercenary army. Have you forgotten so quickly? Their proud high-altitude bombardment array couldn't even shake a speck of dust off this city wall."

"Times have changed, my lord. This is our country's latest weapon, the culmination of cutting-edge technology. If we wanted, we could bombard you with city-destroying firepower for half a month without stopping. But this is the royal city. This is the best location overlooking the entire capital. Eddie, don't force us."

"Then come and try,"

the man on the city wall said with a rare, arrogant sneer. But in that smile, there was an unavoidable desolation.

"I used the power of the Eternal Stone to completely lock down this city.

"The city I built for you is the property of me, this so-called king, heh, what they call the 'Outsider King'—all the royal family's wealth. How could I let them lay a finger on it?

"But, I don't know when you'll be able to return. Since then, I've found no joy in being king, Noel. I never wanted any of this in the first place.

I didn't, I didn't. If I had known it would turn out like this, I would have preferred to—"

But I stopped him.

I sat on the edge of the bed, pulled his upper body up, and slowly laid his head on my lap, in my arms. Perhaps caught off guard, his eyes first showed confusion, then relief, and finally, a hazy immersion in the past.

The images of the past flashing rapidly through the air continued.

Eddie, growing younger and younger, already showed traces of his childhood in his features. Eddie,

, still retained traces of youthful exuberance in his eyes, but more so, a cynical self-deprecation.

He stood in the castle with another respectful man; the surrounding scenery was no different from Dragonsleigh Castle now, only less desolate.

I realized that was when it had just been completed.

"A long-cherished wish, finally fulfilled, Jem, it feels like a dream."

"Congratulations, Your Majesty…

but I must correct you, you should call me the King's Hand, Your Majesty. Or, ah—my loyal right hand, something like that, it sounds much better than this mundane name…"

The other young man beside him pushed up his glasses and whispered.

"Hahaha, Jem, is that one of your lame jokes? I really want to show the ministers what you look like when you're not putting on a stern face. How amusing."

"No, I'm serious, cough cough...

My lord, by the way, this morning, all the material payments, the artisans' wages, and the citizens' subsidies were all distributed, and the debt statement is also neatly arranged."

"Well done, my... well, my capable right hand. Money matters must never be neglected. I don't want people to think I'm a king who needs to be supported by others."

The king's right hand sighed.

"Forgive my bluntness, Your Majesty, but a king should be supported by his subjects. And you… though I've said it many times, and it's pointless to waste words now, your decision to use all your savings accumulated over the years and borrow money from various quarters to build a palace—those funds, which could have been excellent resources for cultivating relationships with tribal leaders, you've wasted on this… I am truly worried and cannot agree with it."

"Ah, money is meant to be spent. If it's not enough, you can earn it back slowly. As for power and favors… I've said it before. They're useless now."

"You are the king, how can they be useless!"

"My mission ends here. As for being a king, as long as someone wears the crown, that's enough. You forced me to ascend the throne, and I obeyed, but I only need to be a king in name only. Even as a king, I'm just a commoner—"

"No, Your Majesty, it's not like that. You know, some people have started calling you the King of Outsiders. What does that mean? It means you're a king from another realm, not trusted or loved by them. This can't go on!"

"Stop talking,"

Eddie said coldly.

"'King of Outsiders,' the king of outsiders. Isn't that fine? The changes were brought about by me, an outsider. That's not wrong. And 'Don't trust a king too much,' that principle isn't wrong either. Today is supposed to be a joyous day, not a day for discussing such things."

With the sound of their light footsteps, Eddie strolled through the empty corridors of the castle. He curiously touched the walls, like a little boy, every brick and tile piquing his boundless curiosity.

"Look at the way the bricks and tiles are inlaid, look at the design of the doors and windows, the latest building technology is truly breathtaking. By the way, Jem, what about the first batch of supplies I purchased?"

"They were all put into the underground warehouse this morning. I really don't know... what you're going to do with all that special dry food you've been hoarding."

"That's the culmination of years of research and improvement on the latest technology I imported from other realms. It can keep food fresh for decades, an ultimate reserve that seems like something only magic could achieve! Ah, hahaha. I just started doing it without even realizing it. How should I put it, it's all a habit from when I was a kid. Back then, I always liked to go to all sorts of places to pick up things that were edible and easy to preserve. I'd bury them under the floor tiles of my little hut. Back then, we were really always hungry, and without realizing it, hoarding things at home became a habit."

Eddie said, scratching his head sheepishly.

"But, thinking about it carefully, in this day and age, who can we deal with by storing so much stuff in the castle? Looking at the world, we have no enemies. Foreign countries are all vying to do business with us. Who would want to provoke a country where everyone just wants to live in peace and prosperity, spend money to buy your goods, and become your students? No one would be that foolish, right?"

Jem, with an expression of "I'm impressed," pushed up his glasses and sighed. But in the end, after speaking seriously, he said,

"Although I don't want to admit it, Your Majesty has indeed impressed me. It is Your Majesty's outstanding insight and mind that has made our people aware of the importance of contacting the outside world and being enthusiastic about new knowledge. If it weren't for you, our country would not have achieved its current rapid development, and our people would not be living in peace and prosperity." "

That's some very flattering."

"Not a single word of it is false."

"...In that case, from now on, I'll be a little willful, it doesn't matter, does it?"

Eddie's voice seemed to become distant, making Jem wonder if there was something wrong with his ears. But seeing his absent-minded expression, he seemed to realize something and gritted his teeth.

"Even if I were just an ordinary person in this castle, living my own life and dreaming my own dreams, would that be alright?"

"...Your Majesty. Is your castle named Dragonsleep Castle because of that silver dragon? Did you build this entire city entirely for that silver dragon?"

"Yes."

"Eight years have passed, and you still can't forget that woman. Although I've only seen her a few times and can't quite define who she is, I've clearly seen the changes in you since that day. You've changed; you often seem lost in thought. In these past few years, you've only focused on two things: money and the castle. Was that really not a demon, not some wandering sorcerer, but a silver dragon? Does a silver dragon really exist? Is it really worth giving up... all of this so early?"

"Of course she is real," Eddie whispered. "Even building this castle was for… well, you wouldn't understand. Jem, look at the times we live in—people know the value of working freely and creating wealth. People know how to learn, and from whom to learn. Indeed, they were once guided by me, learned from me, but I also learned from the Outlands, from my homeland, and from the Silver Dragon.

Now, people know to help each other, compete with each other, listen to each other, instead of being led like mules by a fool from beginning to end. Isn't that better? My goal has been achieved. I didn't want to be the kind of king you want. You don't understand. You haven't seen it…"

Eddie's hesitant gaze left Jem bewildered.

His Majesty's lonely figure walked slowly, casting a long shadow in the setting sun. Jem stood on that shadow, his hands clenched tightly, spitting out whispers unheard by his Majesty.

"It's not like that, Eddie.

I understand perfectly well.

If you don't control all of this, in the end, no one will remember your kindness... You're the one who doesn't understand."

—The

man named Eddie's face had become increasingly younger in just a few minutes.

Even his gray hair had been completely dyed black. This was beyond miracles; it was an extremely abnormal and bizarre change.

His time was rapidly reversing, making one wonder if the world's spacetime was split in two with him as the dividing line.

My hand touched his cheek, feeling the texture of his skin in my hand. It felt incredibly real. However, one second it felt like the skin of a thirty-year-old man, and the next second it felt like the skin of a young man in his early twenties, still bearing freckles.

"You know, Sister Noelle, I've imagined what you'd look like in a wedding dress."

"..."

"I thought about giving you this castle as a proposal gift. But... haha, I guess I was just overthinking it."

I turned my head away, not letting him see my face.

"That's impossible. Back then, my feelings for you were more..."

"I know. It's okay. Just lying in your arms like this, smelling your fragrance, is already enough to make me happy. Although, I also think about more things, like... wanting to see this person in front of me. You know, it's been a long time since I've seen her since we first met. That woman that night was so beautiful that I can't forget her. Even now that I'm an old man, I still think about her... Although, now, I only have a vague memory of what I'll look like when I'm old. Haha."

I tried hard not to let my cheeks get too hot.

"You're so lecherous."

"Haha, I have to admit that, after all, I'm a young man in my twenties now."

But my hands couldn't help but move slightly.

"...If you want, I'll show you."

Eddie, a young man in his twenties full of vigor, looked at me, and when he heard my unexpected answer, his gaze was very clear at that moment. He just quietly looked at my face, making me very uncomfortable. I knew my face must be burning red.

Then he grinned and smiled heartily at me. His smile belonged to an eighteen-year-old boy.

"That was truly a timely comfort."

"Fool. You really didn't use the power I gave you to do anything for yourself in the end. Why…?"

His time was still rapidly passing. What he had done was already clear. The effect of the Eternal Stone was used on Dragonsleep Castle, and the price of the Eternal Stone fell on him.

"Why do you ask? Because a man should realize his own dreams."

Twenty

years later, Eddie, barely twenty, stood on the foundation he had just marked as the site for building his dream castle.

And standing beside him was none other than me, a girl with silver-blue hair.

That was our shared memory. Only back then… the boy was a head taller than the girl, completely reversed from the beginning.

This city, which would become the capital, was a dilapidated town two years ago. But now, it possesses the grandeur of becoming the future center of this country.

But compared to the dramatic transformation of this desolate land into a vibrant, burgeoning nation of commerce and manufacturing, the change in Eddie, this man—or rather, this boy—was far more astonishing.

"You really did it. Even without making a wish to me, you achieved your dream."

I casually sipped what was called an "iced drink."

It was a small snack made of frozen sweet water encased in rubber. It was incredibly refreshing in the summer. Although I initially suggested it, he invented it within days, and it received rave reviews at stalls around the capital. Of course, I, who was originally just craving something, suddenly found myself much more entertained.

"Ha, ha, ha, who am I, Eddie? Let me tell you, if you can think of it, I can make it! Sister Noelle."

"You give up. I misjudged you."

I sighed in defeat.

Who could have imagined that the foreign child who once lived a nomadic life in his self-built shack would build a successful business in this desolate country within ten years?

Who could have imagined that he would not only escape his status as a homeless child, but also earn his first fortune at the age of eight, start trading at ten, establish a small caravan connecting with foreign lands at thirteen, and become the leader of a merchant guild that funded the reconstruction of the capital at eighteen?

"At this rate, maybe little Eddie could be king in ten years. That's incredible. He won't need me anymore, right?"

Yes. I wasn't joking. For many years, this impoverished and chaotic land, hardly deserving the title of "nation," while indeed having barren soil and a sparse population, didn't mean it was a worthless land. The excellent rivers, forests, transportation, and roads, along with the technology and resources brought from the boy's hometown, had been discovered. In a short time, he

said, "How could that be? Without Noelle, I wouldn't be able to understand so many things. Honestly, is Noelle really from outer space? How do she know so many strange things?" "

Sizzle sizzle."

"...I won't let you go, Noelle."

"But the time is almost here, little Eddie. You can't keep putting it off like this."

"Why? Why can't I? I told you, I don't need you."

"I'd like to ask why. The contract clearly states that it will grant your wish, so why can't you just obediently make your wish?"

"Why do you think I should? Of course, it's because a man should realize his own dreams."

"Nonsense. I am a woman."

"No, you're a dragon, or perhaps a goddess. Different."

"What is Silver Dragon Sister's dream?"

"...Don't interrupt."

...

The boy and girl stood side-by-side on the brickwork construction site, gazing at the setting sun. A strange yellow light emanated from the elusive void, blurring time and space, as if their conversation would happen again half a century later.

"I'll be honest. I'm going to keep you by my side."

"What a cunning child. Little Eddie needs to be independent. Pouting won't work."

"I'm not a child anymore, I'm a man. I want to be with Noelle Sister forever."

"...Is that so...? But I've been with many people briefly. Only, I can't be with anyone forever. That's me. That's Silver Dragon."

The boy bit his lip.

"You think you can force me to stay with you forever by delaying the contract and not making a wish... But that's not how it works. I'm just worried about you and want to look after you for a while. You're a smart kid, and I have a lot of fun with you. So spending these few years with you is fine."

I turned to face him and said seriously.

"But that doesn't mean our contract can be delayed indefinitely. If you delay, I have a compromise. I can still fulfill the contract."

"Why... why! Even if it's not forever, it doesn't matter! Even if, even if I..."

"I've lived too long, and I've seen too many people and things. Let alone forever, even a lifetime is unbearable for many people. Compared to others spending their entire lives as a mere passerby in my long life, it's much better for everyone if I play the role of a passerby in someone else's life."

The boy clenched his fists and turned away. He rarely got angry; this was probably his limit.

But I could only silently lower my head behind him.

"Even if you haven't decided what you want to wish for yet, tell me roughly, and I can use a treasure to let you make that wish anytime."

"...Can't I wish for you to take off your clothes like the day we first met, so I can see you again?"

"...That's a precious opportunity to make a wish. You pervert."

"Can't I wish to be with you forever?"

"Of course. I'm not a god; there are things I can't do."

"..."

I took his hand from behind.

"What is your wish, really?"

He remained silent for a long time, his hand trembling slightly. Finally, as if he had finally reached a conclusion after a struggle, he uttered these words to me.

"It's probably... a feeling of peace and eternity. Like that shack from that day. A safe little nest that I built myself in the pouring rain... If I could, I would stay there, that night, with you for ten thousand years..."

I sighed softly, without letting him notice.

"If that's the case, then it must be the Eternal Stone."

"...Eternal Stone?"

"A treasure I acquired from the void. The effect of an Eternal Stone is naturally to grant something you cherish eternal life. However, eternity has a price, like a merchant's transaction. Even with high and low prices, profit and loss, at least a certain level of equivalent exchange must be satisfied. Otherwise, the negotiation cannot stand."

"That is to say, the eternity that one thing doesn't deserve must be exchanged for the destruction that another thing shouldn't have to bear. And the price to be paid must be paid by something with a very deep connection to what you want to protect.

[Gold can be created from the sky. Happiness can be fabricated out of thin air. Eternity is merely an appearance. Overdrawn prosperity will inevitably be reclaimed one day.]

—It's unacceptable to be generous with other people's money, for example, using someone else's life and wealth to protect your own. If you do that, I will punish you."

"...Of course. I wouldn't even consider such a thing without you saying so."

I grasped Eddie's hoarse hands, pressing my chest against his back. Even with the slightly itchy sensation, I still inhaled his scent, at least for this moment, remaining tightly pressed against him.

My hands clasped his from behind, and without realizing it, a stone appeared in my hand, which I placed in his.

"Eternal Stone, search carefully for the one you want to protect. I'll set off when you're not looking. At least for now, we can still spend some time leisurely."

He just trembled slightly, not speaking. That's just how he was; he'd never cried or gotten angry since childhood.

He was stubborn and unwilling to admit his weakness.

But how insecure he was was clearly evident in his desires.

"...What kind of existence am I in your heart?"

"Like a clever and mischievous younger brother, and sometimes like my own child. Although I've never had children." "

Is that so? That's good..."

"Wait. Sister Noel. When you return, I will surprise you. The completion of our contract, my wish. You will never forget me."

After that, I said nothing.

???

After that, I said nothing.

That should have been it.

One day after that, I left without a word.

When I returned, the boy from back then was a frail seventy-year-old, his life like a candle flickering in the wind. Even our contract couldn't save him, even the eternally locked Dragon's Rest Palace couldn't stop his time.

And then, he would meet his end.

That should have been it.

But on that day, under the setting sun, I spoke to him.

"Eddie, you don't need to prove anything to me. I know. I know everything you've planned."

Time and space had lost their precise meaning. On that day when I was twenty, on that evening when the sun was setting, on the foundation of the Dragon's Rest Palace. The girl seemed to have said something more to the boy.

"What?!…"

He tried to maintain his composure, but almost couldn't help turning around. However, he refused to turn around, the golden sunlight illuminating his strong features in the profile. But his lips were clearly trembling.

"That little shack from that day was enough. But you still used your entire fortune to build me a castle, and then you exchanged your own life and existence to make that castle eternal.

Haha… Is that so… Is that how it is? I, I did such a thing. Now, back at this age, I can hardly remember anymore. How much I miss this young body. How I wish it were all true. But… everything…"

"But you're running out of time, Eddie. Your existence can no longer be sustained. Even if you're in the very center of that eternal castle, even if your contract with me remains, when your natural lifespan ends, your existence will inevitably reverse, regress, return to its origin, and vanish. Because debts must be collected. If this continues, you will be utterly destroyed. Not just death, but vanishing; your very existence will be erased." "

But if I had to do it all over again, I would still do it."

"Fool. Why, why go to such lengths?"

"From this day forward, from the moment you gave me the Eternal Stone, I've planned this. I thought I would build you a castle worthy of you. With the Eternal Stone's power, it will be an eternal castle, worthy of your eternity. And I… even if I disappear. Even if they, even if my people don't remember me, it doesn't matter. The impact of what I've done will endure, even if it's no longer my deeds. But, ultimately, none of that matters. What does it matter if they remember me or not?"

"What are you thinking?"

"What does it matter if the world remembers me! Rather, it's better if I'm not remembered by the world—that way, my only memory is yours, and your memory is the only me. In the whole world, in the entire void, only you can remember my life. The man named Eddie. I am not eternal, but in your eternal heart, I am eternal. Isn't that cool?!" "

Cool my foot!!..."

I was speechless. This reckless person. This willful boy.

I thought I could fulfill his lifelong dream. His dream was just to tease me.

So I'll tease him back.

I hugged him from behind again.

Actually, I was only separated from him by his back for a moment. But I knew that fifty years had passed between the two actions. However, this fifty-year distance made me decide not to leave any regrets.

I don't know what kind of feelings he's having right now. But I can no longer suppress the surging emotion in my chest. What is it? Heartache, regret, or perhaps it was just being willful towards him, or simply wanting to give this boy the reward he deserved as a woman?

Such thoughts were meaningless. Because for a silver dragon, human love meant nothing. I just felt like doing this.

"Guess what's behind you?"

Eddie felt a pair of hands embrace him. Looking down, he saw arms as white as jade gently caressing his waist.

His sister Noel had often hugged him like this since he was little, but her hands had never been so tender. Her long, beautiful fingers moved restlessly, searching for something on his body. But he didn't dislike it. He had perhaps always dreamed that these hands would anxiously seek him out, not just gently caress him like his mother and sister, but perhaps this caress came too late.

Before he could feel even a hint of regret, he felt two full mounds behind him.

A moment ago, when Noel's beautiful breasts left his back, he thought he would never feel such warmth again. But now, he only wanted to linger in this sensation longer. But something was different; compared to before, the sensation now was more pronounced from those two pointed things, making his back itch.

"!"

In other words, the sister he longed for, the girl he poured his boundless love into, was naked from the waist up. Her shameful breasts were pressed directly against his back.

"Guess what I look like from behind?"

Eddie gasped and turned around abruptly.

"Ah!" the girl exclaimed softly.

A girl with long, flowing silver-blue hair. A pleated skirt hugged her delicate, round buttocks, and her porcelain-white upper body was now completely naked. Her light blue blouse had been quietly removed and placed on the ground.

A thousand thoughts raced through Eddie's mind, but none could compare to marveling at the beauty before him.

Her white skin shone brightly in the still intense sunset. The interplay of gold and silver made her appear like a goddess, yet her flowing hair and slightly trembling body revealed her as a vibrant, undeniably youthful girl.

In ten years of knowing her, he had rarely seen Noel act like such a deeply affectionate young woman. At first, she seemed like a mother, then a sister. Finally, in this last moment, even if it was an illusion, she seemed like his lover.

In her exquisitely beautiful and gentle eyes, she looked at him with a slight shyness and a deep, hidden tenderness.

She bit her lip slightly, as if blaming herself for standing there foolishly, ignoring his efforts. Only then did Eddie carefully examine the bosom his sister had exposed for him.

Her blushing face turned away, a crimson color spreading from her cheeks to her neck and collarbone. And her pointed nipples stood erect, delicate and pert.

Eddie was mesmerized. He looked and looked, wishing time could stand still so he could see her forever. Perhaps he was indeed frozen in this illusory spacetime, frozen for millions of years.

But this moment would eventually end. He felt this illusory scene collapsing, his body seemingly shrinking, his body changing and regenerating towards a younger state every moment, a wave of sorrow welling up in his heart.

"Come,"

the girl before him stretched out her hand. As if saying time waits for no one. He swallowed hard. His anxiety turned into restlessness, as if wanting to forget everything, he pounced on her like a male beast.

h end

As Eddie tackled me, the golden sunset vanished before my eyes.

The boundary between sunlight and shadow passed over our free-falling bodies, but our fall felt eternal for a moment. We should have fallen together, crashing onto this sandy ground. But everything around us vanished like mist, for it was all just a phantom of the past. The real us were still in the attic of the eternal castle.

He rolled over and leaned over me. I forced a faint smile at him, not wanting him to know the faint anxiety in my heart.

"Come on," I said.

A young girl's plea for intimacy should have been alluring, but it had no effect on him. He was already impatient; his eyes saw nothing but me.

The twenty-year-old's heavy, hot breath pounded against my sensitive neck like a thirsty beast. If he had simply met an ordinary girl, he would have already pounced on her like a wolf.

We should have confessed our love at sunset and made love that very night. In summer nights, I would smile at him, stroking my slightly protruding belly. In winter, I would wrap our baby in a thick blanket, my breath warm against the cold. Years later, we would hold our child's hand, waving to the people from the city walls.

Such an ordinary yet happy story exists in a parallel universe, but right now, he and I only have this short, immeasurable time.

He growled, frantically licking my stomach, from my navel to my chest. He wasn't satisfied with just making me moan softly; his hands and fingers, though clumsy, skillfully and naturally caressed my chest, armpits, neck, and the inside of my thighs.

"...Since you are an eternal silver dragon, have you seen many men like me?"

"..." I suppressed my breath, pursed my lips, and simply looked at him quietly. I didn't want to show any emotion.

"How do they compare to me?"

"I've forgotten so many people..." I closed my eyes weakly. No living being can endure eternity without intentionally forgetting.

"Then, I'll make sure you remember me forever."

His nimble tongue swirled around my nipple, its coating stimulating my sensitive nerves. My chest involuntarily heaved, my back lifted off the bed, my hands gripping the sheets tightly. A throbbing sensation traveled from my nipples to my heart, gripping my entire body.

"Then you'll have to... work extra hard," I gasped.

"I've always worked very hard,"

the seventeen-year-old chuckled, sweat beading on his forehead, his youthful yet masculine face radiating a virile aura.

His sincere gaze was centimeters away, each of us taking in every detail of the other's expression.

"You look younger and younger."

"Ha...that's the kind of sweet talk that so many men and women dream of hearing,"

he scoffed, his hands busy at work. I pursed my lips, trying to hold back, but my whole body writhed uncomfortably at his caresses.

I chuckled softly, but a tiny tear welled in my eye. This wouldn't do. I was too relaxed, too pleasurable. This wasn't the time to enjoy this. I reached out and wrapped my arms around his neck, whispering in his ear,

"No need for all this. Hurry, hurry."

"Hurry up with what?"

Hearing his knowing question, a surge of anger welled up inside me, but it vanished instantly.

It all transformed into resignation, into willing submission, a willingness to be toyed with. I suddenly realized that perhaps mortal love affairs and master-slave relationships also begin with this feeling, but what I feared was that the only submissive words I could utter to Eddie were these:

"Hurry up and put it in..."

"Put it in...please!..."

"I'll comply." Eddie gave a rare, mischievous grin. I turned my eyes away shyly.

"If you don't do it now, you won't have time..." These words, which were about to escape my lips, were swallowed back.

I felt my skirt slide down my thighs, and then my legs were pressed down and spread apart by the young man's strong thighs. My forbidden zone between my legs awaited invasion, but he still didn't make up his mind.

"It's coming, are you really okay?" "

...I'm already wet, I'm already aroused for you..."

"Come on, come in quickly, do what you want to do most."

He looked at me intently, as if trying to capture the last expression on my face as I said these words, and then, with a low growl, his hard weapon pierced through me, tore me apart, and conquered me.

My words were half true and half false. The ever-changing silver dragon could easily arouse me, but even so, as he pierced my long-untouched private parts, I suddenly wished deep down that I were a real prostitute. If that were the case, I could welcome him with my wet flower path much faster and bring him pleasure.

"Huff... Ah..."

His breaths mingled with mine. He held me, and I held him back. His relentless onslaught sent me swaying wildly. My carefree moans whispered in his ear, fueling his lust. As I desired, he returned the favor, ravaging me even more fiercely.

"...Am I not like your sister anymore?"

"Of course, you're my woman, my possession."

His fifteen-year-old body, already incredibly strong, surged within me.

The boy's boundless energy was like the rising sun, bathing me in its intense heat, melting softly, transforming into the flowing love juices of my vagina.

"Drink... Ha..."

"Ah, ee-ya, ah, ah—it's really amazing, my Eddie, my—"

"I'm coming, accept my—"

At the end of the brief but frenzied storm, a scalding, intense, and heavy surge struck my soft interior.

I hugged him tightly, holding him down. Not only with my arms, but also with the walls of my flesh, I held him, preventing him from leaving.

But the head he raised already held the face of a boy of about ten, full of childlike innocence and confusion.

His weapon had lost its sharpness, its thickness, and gradually slipped out of my body, despite my efforts to contain all that he ejaculated into me. But his small penis still slipped out like a little snake.

I was still panting after my orgasm when eleven or twelve-year-old Eddie had already climbed on top of me. The wildness of his previous beast had faded from his face, replaced by the shyness of a boy who had just begun to understand human nature.

"Sister, what did I do to you... What should I do?"

He rubbed his small, still-glowing penis, which had just withdrawn from me, in confusion.

I tried to ignore his amnesiac-like helplessness and just smiled at him.

"You little pervert... Let me do it, you don't have to do anything."

I laid my naked body, still slightly flushed from our lovemaking, on my lap, letting Eddie sit in my arms, my bare skin pressed against his, feeling the throbbing of his heart, and letting him feel the weight of my chest against his shoulders and back. Then I used my hand to stroke his penis, using all the movements I knew, focusing all my attention on playing with the boy's small penis, making it grow strong, making its owner utter embarrassed yet pleasurable cries.

"Sister, sister, ah————"

The ten-year-old boy's virgin penis was taken by me. The scene was incredibly lewd: a young girl in the prime of her life kneeling between the legs of a playful, innocent boy, sucking all the still-warm, viscous fluid from his adorable little penis.

But when I finished my devoted service, his expression wasn't that of a man satisfied after conquering a woman. Before me was only a bewildered little boy.

Seven-year-old Eddie looked at me, just like that rainy night. My chest ached.

—In

the pouring rain, a ragged little boy ran, his hand holding that of a silver-haired girl in a blue dress.

Night had fallen, and the two, soaked and panting, crawled into a makeshift shack. A relieved smile appeared on the little boy's face, his hair plastered to his skin.

It was a shack the little boy had built himself with stones, trees, and thatch.

But on this rainy night, a beautiful silver dragon older sister had arrived. So this shack could be called the silver dragon's castle!

"Sister Dragon, this is my home, and also your castle, the castle where Sister Dragon sleeps. Let's call it Dragon's Sleep Castle!"

"You've gone to so much trouble. Thank you!"

"Is...is that so?" The little boy blushed.

I took off my wet coat, which clung to my chest.

"Big sister, you're so beautiful! Grandma is round and white too, so pretty!"

I knew it; he was a little pervert.

But since he built me a castle, giving him a little treat wouldn't hurt.

I sat on the stone bed, leaning against the wall formed by the trees. My hands wrung out my coat, water dripping onto the ground.

"Sister, what's your name?"

"Me?

" "I am an elf from a distant time and space. I transformed into a silver dragon because of a girl's wish. My name is Noelle the Silver Dragon."

"Silver Dragon, how amazing! And beautiful! Just like a fairy!"

"And what's your name, you little brat?"

"Eddie, my name is Eddie. My mother was killed by bandits on her way here. And I... and I can only build a small shed here, and go out to scavenge for food every day. It's so hard..."

I hugged him tenderly.

"Silver Dragon Sister, I don't know why, but I really want to change all of this, I really want to make a lot of money, I want everyone to live a good life, and stop killing each other... How can I do that..." "

Don't worry. You will do it. You did it all. You are the best boy. The most capable little Eddie."

"Really?"

He looked up at me in confusion, and I gently pinched his little nose.

"Really."

"But, but... Eddie is a coward. Eddie is scared every day. Eddie dreams of his mother every day, but... his mother will never come back. Eddie, Eddie even dreams of when he was little, nursing in his mother's arms."

The little boy in my arms started crying

. "Thinking about this makes me feel so useless. Eddie isn't a man. Waaaaaah..."

I hugged the crying little boy and stroked his back. I pressed my lips to his forehead and gently kissed him.

"...Even men miss their mothers sometimes."

"Really... really..." The boy sobbed, rubbing his eyes.

"Really."

When he opened his eyes, two soft mounds of breasts, carrying a faint milky scent, filled his nostrils.

"Little Eddie will grow up to be a strong and upright man. His mother and his silver-dragon sister are both proud of him. What's wrong with such a little man crying and snuggling in his sister's arms on a stormy night like this?"

On this stormy night, the silver-haired girl, her body slightly damp, lay naked. In her arms, the little boy, who had stopped crying, was dreamily sucking on her beautiful, rosy nipple.

He seemed to have returned to the time when he was a child in his mother's arms. He sucked so earnestly and forcefully that the silver-haired girl couldn't help but close her eyes and furrow her brow slightly. In this peaceful moment, the silver-haired silver-dragon girl was the little boy's lover, sister, and mother.

This is the tender dream I offer to Eddie, for his final moments.

I relax my body, letting out a soft moan, stroking between my legs, allowing myself to be wholeheartedly moved for once. The soft suckling of Eddie sent a tingling sensation through my chest and down to my very core.

The evidence of the love Eddie had given me as an adult still lingered in my lower abdomen. A throbbing sensation spread through my breasts, causing a slight itch. Eddie, now a five-year-old boy, suckled even harder.

I opened my eyes slightly, smiled at him tenderly, and stroked his head, feeling my maternal instincts flow into his mouth. In this way, I had actually played the role of a mother for a moment.

I remained naked, supporting his shrinking body in my arms, making him feel more secure. He suckled on my left breast, while I placed his left hand on my right.

"Little Eddie loves them the most, he misses them the most, doesn't he…

Don't be shy, they're all yours… Good boy, drink your fill."

Although little Eddie, now a toddler, didn't understand my words, he obediently suckled even harder.

I rocked the child in my arms, like a real mother.

"Mommy won't leave you, little Eddie."

As the baby drank his first sip of milk, he let out his first joyful cry.

But before I could even process the scene before me, my arms were already empty.

Eddie was gone.

Like someone ravaged, I lay naked, limbs outstretched. White milk and semen slowly trickled down my body, while I lay on the large bed in the attic, my eyes vacant, not wanting to move.

Everything that had just happened—the wind and rain, the illusion of the cottage, even Eddie's existence—had vanished completely.

Only his achievements, the castle, and the changes in this country remained. Everything was still there, except for him and the world's memory of him. Shortly after

the epilogue

, I continued my journey.

Even the most eternal castle could not hold me. For for the silver dragon, eternity was nothing but a deception.

Ultimately, the eternity that mortals gain at the cost of their existence is merely an infinite approximation of eternity, not true eternity, and hardly a remarkable miracle.

True eternity, however, is entirely different.

Incomplete, just like myself.

Is it worth forgetting because of eternity? I don't know. I just feel a little envious of that man and his creation.

With this feeling, I continued my journey through the void and between different worlds and countries.

It's impossible to keep me in an empty castle. It's fine as an occasional travel palace.

After I've done some work, that castle will probably become a nice historical site, well utilized by people.

After all, in that country, someone will pass on a legend of a silver dragon and a founding hero to future generations.

And will that person, with the blood of a dragon and a founding hero flowing in their veins, become a wise king, a merchant, a great scholar, or a hero who saves the country? That is their own story.
