Eight humorous anecdotes about life.

    page views:1  Publication date:2022-04-28
1. Life is like a series of slaps, waking you from your dream. 2. Whether someone is willing to sacrifice for you depends on their mindset. You can't immediately demand something in return for what you've done; that's greed. 3. There are only two types of insomniacs: those holding their phones and those with a drama playing in their minds. 4. When I was a child, I wanted to watch TV, but I could only obediently watch the news and "Railway Guerrillas" with my parents. Now that I'm finally in charge, I can only watch "Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf" and "Bald Qiang" with my kids! 5. Yesterday I went to the countryside, and returned with tears streaming down my face. Wild rabbits roamed the overgrown fields, and no farmers were to be seen. Young and middle-aged men played mahjong, while elderly couples looked after their young grandchildren. Many children were left behind, their parents nowhere to be seen. I occasionally saw two scholars playing games wildly. The blue sky remained, but the clear water was nowhere to be found. The accents were unchanged, but the faces were unfamiliar. The earthen bricks and blue tiles were gone, and the grand houses along the road were empty. My parents are still alive, but their bodies are withered and afflicted by illness. Busy killing chickens and warming wine, they treated me like an honored guest. I secretly wiped away tears, forcing back sobs. Saying goodbye at the village entrance, I gave them my heartfelt instructions. The trunk was overflowing, filled with homesickness. I took a deep breath of fresh air and headed into the smog.
6. Before, I viewed people and things in this world simply as liking or disliking; liking was liking, disliking was disliking. Later, as I grew up, I became worldly and sophisticated, focusing on whether I should like something, whether it was worth liking, whether it was permissible to like it. Gradually, I stopped daring to ask myself if I truly liked something, and then I forgot the joy in my heart. 7. When your children stop bothering you, they may have grown up and left you; when your parents stop bothering you, they may have passed away; when your lover stops bothering you, they may have gone to bother someone else; when your friends stop bothering you, there may have been a rift between you!
People live in mutual trouble, solving problems within trouble, resolving trouble within problems, and deepening relationships through both giving and receiving help. 8. Drinking less alcohol is good for your liver; smoking less is good for your lungs; exercising more is good for your health; earning more money is good for your life;
couples being more considerate of each other is good for the family; lovers being more affectionate is good for their relationship;
having a purer mind is good for your mental health; being more open-minded is good for your emotions.
