Chapter Two. Eileen's
monitor screen showed John lying in bed. Silence reigned. The digital display in the lower right corner showed the current time: 3:01 AM.

John slowly got out of bed and looked around the room. He checked the medical equipment on the wall one by one and stared at the computer screen. The monitor was fitted with a wide-angle lens to show the entire room; therefore, John's expression was obscured. After checking the room, John looked up at the ceiling.

When he saw the monitor camera, he walked over to it and removed it. However, because he was standing on the table and chair, his face was reflected at extremely close range. The entire screen was filled with John's face. It was

definitely John's face, but it gave the illusion that it was someone else. His lips were tightly knit, and his eyes burned with hatred. Those hateful eyes stared directly at the camera. Because the gaze was so intense, it created the illusion that John was watching them from the other side of the screen. A strange smile crept across John's lips. Suddenly, the image went completely dark.

Alyssa manipulated the control panel, turning off the screen.

John murmured a sigh, "No matter how many times I watch it, I can't believe... I have multiple personalities..."

"Although as the treatment progresses, we'll understand the whole truth, we believe your condition will worsen than we predict. Therefore, you need to understand your condition and actively participate in the treatment!" Alyssa said, looking directly at John.
