All joyful encounters in this mortal world are predestined.

After Gui Niang's passing, Yao Niang was devastated. After the mourning period, several days passed, and Yao Niang gradually recovered. One day, Hai Tian said to Yao Niang, "Cousin, Aunt has passed away, and I must return. Aunt entrusted you to me. How about you come back to Zhenjiang with me?" Yao Niang listened without speaking, but nodded, blushing. Hai Tian continued, "If the two of us return to Zhenjiang, this place will be neglected and will soon become desolate. Why not sell it? What do you think?" Yao Niang was very attached to this house and couldn't bear to sell it. Thinking there was no other way, she had no choice but to agree. She said, "I will leave everything to you, cousin." Hai Tian then found a broker and sold the Qiu residence to a wealthy merchant. He also gave five hundred taels of silver to the dozens of servants in the house, so they could have a home to return to, or fend for themselves if they didn't. Hai Tian hired a sedan chair for Yao Niang, while he rode along on horseback. Upon arriving at her home, Yao Niang greeted Ji Shi and Meiniang. Ji Shi, upon seeing her, embraced her and wept bitterly. After the weeping, Yao Niang met Meiniang, addressing her as "elder sister." The two women immediately felt a strong connection. Yao Niang temporarily stayed with Ji Shi, but that's another story.

Two months passed in a flash, and the time for the imperial examinations arrived. Meanwhile, Mei Yuting, having not seen Hai Tian for several months since their last parting, went to Hai Tian's home to meet him. They exchanged pleasantries and, mentioning the approaching examinations, decided to set an auspicious day to depart together. They agreed on the date.

Yuting returned home and instructed his wife, Yueying, to pack their luggage for the journey. Yueying, knowing Hai Tian was safe and sound at home, secretly informed Su Lan, putting their minds at ease. Hai Tian also made preparations at home, gradually completing everything. He bid farewell to his mother, Meiniang, and Yao Niang, taking only his family member Lai Wang and another servant with him. The servant, named Li Zhuang, was recently purchased. Yu Ting also brought a pageboy and accompanied Hai Tian. They chatted and laughed all the way, making it quite lively.

Before they knew it, they had arrived in Jinling. They searched for a place to stay and finally found a large, well-maintained restaurant. Hai Tian felt very comfortable upon seeing it and said, "Let's stay here and rest." This restaurant was owned by the Wang family. Merchants from all over the country stayed here, and the business was extremely prosperous. The family owned a fortune of thousands of gold pieces. When it was passed down to Wang Ping, the business flourished even more. His wife, Wen, named Chun Wan, was beautiful, slender, graceful, and charming. Even the women described in books could not match her allure. Unexpectedly, Wang Ping fell ill and died, leaving behind his young and beautiful wife, a truly tragic situation.

Not only was Lady Wen exceptionally beautiful and talented, but she was also quick-witted and capable. Seeing the shop's lucrative profits, she was reluctant to close it down and instead became a capable businesswoman, managing everything herself, including accounting and finances. Merchants, seeing such a beautiful woman in charge, all stopped by the shop to rest and stay overnight, making it even more bustling than before. Lady Wen, however, remained upright and stern, her authority unassailable—truly a remarkable woman.

One day, as Lady Wen sat in the shop, she saw several servants carrying luggage, followed by two scholars. Lady Wen glanced at them; one was short and stocky, with good looks, around twenty years old. The other was much younger, incredibly handsome and dashing, captivating her heart. Lady Wen was mesmerized and immediately rose to greet them. Learning they were scholars preparing for the imperial examinations, she allowed them to stay overnight in the inner hall, already harboring feelings for them. Hearing a sweet, delicate voice, Hai Tian looked up and saw a beautiful woman with gentle eyes, a face like a peach blossom, and an exquisite beauty—truly a beauty among men.

Hai Tian stood in a side room while the servants settled his luggage. He paced back and forth, his eyes conveying affection. The woman, surnamed Wen, was captivatingly beautiful, her heart fluttering with joy. She forgot all her years of restraint and chatted with Hai Tian with a gentle smile. That night, Wen hosted a welcoming feast, with the banquet set up in the inner hall. The servants were outside, and only Mei Fang and Wen enjoyed the food and drink. Yu Ting, having caught a cold on the journey and endured months of hardship, drank a few cups of wine and became unsteady on his feet, so he went to sleep. This pleased Wen, so she arranged a new table in a side room. Wen dismissed the maids, leaving only one maid to pour wine. Hai Tian also sent Lai Wang and Li Zhuang to sleep, leaving Wen alone to keep him company.

The two took their seats, choosing corners to sit, and drank discreetly, each with their own hidden meanings. After three cups, their eyes met, exchanging flirtatious glances. As the saying goes, "Wine is the matchmaker for lust." After a few cups, Wen's heart was stirred, and her desires were fully revealed. Seeing this, Hai Tian smiled and asked, "May I ask your name, madam, how old you are? Where is your husband tonight? This quiet night leaves me with regret for your shallowness." Wen sighed, "Thank you for your pity, sir. I am twenty-three years old, my name is Chunwan. My late husband died young from illness." As she spoke, she glanced at Hai Tian, smiling as she urged him to drink. Hai Tian, already aroused, feigned dropping his chopsticks at Wen's feet, then quickly knelt down to pick them up. He then gently pinched her bound feet, causing Wen's heart to flutter and her soul to wander. When Hai Tian rose, she hooked her arm around his and kissed him on the lips, saying, "Go inside." With that, she left first.

Hai Tian then got up, kissing and cuddling her as they walked into the bedroom. Upon entering, Hai Tian found the room decorated like a bridal chamber, very elegant. Two pairs of red candles were already lit in the room, illuminating it brightly. Two embroidered brocade quilts were laid on the bed, and a pair of mandarin duck pillows were placed at the head of the bed.

Having remained chaste for years, Wen finally met her ideal man, and her lust was aroused. She embraced Hai Tian and kissed him passionately. Hai Tian pressed Wen tightly against his lips, sucking hard. Wen felt Hai Tian's lips were moist and strong, tightly holding her lips and sucking inside and out. Sometimes he held her upper lip, sometimes her lower lip, and he put his tongue into her mouth, exploring her private parts. Wen, who had been thirsting for him for a long time, also welcomed him with her private parts. Their private parts were intertwined, moving up and down. Wen also wanted to taste Hai Tian's, so she pressed her private parts against Hai Tian's private parts and put them into his mouth, exploring them urgently. She felt that it was incredibly sweet and moist inside. The two embraced tightly and sucked each other hard. Fragrant saliva overflowed and mingled with each other's. I swallowed some of yours and it slid into my stomach. You also swallowed some of mine and it slid into your stomach.

Hai Tian, aroused by Wen's kisses, stroked her back, finding her exceptionally full. He hurriedly unbuckled her belt, removed her outer skirt, and pulled off her undergarments. He slipped his hand between Wen's legs and felt a considerable amount of lustful fluid flowing out, wetting a large area of her thick, lush pubic hair. Her breasts were prominently raised, protruding below her abdomen, bouncy and shimmering to the touch. Between the flesh was an alluring slit, from which streams of lustful fluid flowed, seeping down her pubic hair and inner thighs. Her labia were upturned, feeling very full and thick, tender inside and rough outside, with her small clitoris already erect at the junction of her labia. Hai Tian's lust burned fiercely, and he vigorously rubbed her vulva with his hand. Wen Shi immediately moaned, twisting her waist from side to side, and couldn't help but squeeze her legs together, crying out, "Darling, it's so itchy!" Hai Tian ignored her and continued to rub, pinching and twisting her clitoris with two fingers, then inserting his fingers into her vagina and squeezing hard. Then he rubbed his fingers up and down along her labia, holding her vulva between his four fingers. Touching Wen Shi's vulva, he felt waves of excitement, and his penis involuntarily became erect, pressing against his trousers. The tip rubbed against her undergarment, itching intensely, and unconsciously swelled up several times. The undergarment was too narrow to accommodate it, and Hai Tian felt his penis curled up inside, feeling a bit swollen and painful. So he loosened his belt, pulled down his trousers, and released his penis. Wen felt the hand inside her vagina, kneading and rubbing vigorously, which she found very pleasurable, but the itching was unbearable, penetrating to her very bones. Her vaginal muscles involuntarily contracted violently, and several streams of vaginal fluid overflowed. She quickly reached her hand to her vagina and placed it on Hai Tian's hand, rubbing it herself.

After rubbing for a while, Wen felt Hai Tian's penis constantly touching her leg, the head of which was very hot. So she released Hai Tian's hand and grasped the jade stem in her own. She was overjoyed, not expecting that it was so large. She held it tightly and began to stroke it vigorously, thinking to herself: "I never expected such a handsome young man, so young, to have such a strong and wonderful thing. It is truly the blessing of my life to have met him. Even if I die, it would be worth it." While thinking this, her hand did not stop.

The two stood in the room for a moment, caressing each other, then parted ways, removing their remaining clothes. Hai Tian picked up Wen Shi and carried her to the bedside, laying her flat on it. He climbed on top of her, parted her legs, and placed his head on her vulva, gently licking it with his tongue. He felt a warm, fishy sensation there, as if she had just been bathed, her pubic hair completely wet. His tongue slid up and down the inside of her labia, teasing her clitoris from time to time. He then inserted his tongue into her vagina, licking her vaginal fluids and unconsciously swallowing some. Wen Shi lay there, moaning loudly, her hands vigorously caressing her breasts. She closed her eyes, itching, and cried out, "Sweetheart, can I lick there too? Quickly, put that wonderful thing inside me." Hai Tian licked her again, then raised his upper body, moved forward slightly, one hand caressing her penis, the other parting her labia, and deeply inserted his penis. Before reaching the root, he held her legs with both hands and began to thrust forcefully. Each thrust reached her clitoris, lasting dozens of rounds. He lowered her legs, supporting her buttocks with both hands, lifting her waist high, arching her body. With each thrust, he would forcefully lift her buttocks, slamming his penis deep into her clitoris. Wen cried out loudly, shaking her head from side to side, rubbing her breasts violently. She felt an intense itching, as if her vagina was splitting open, and his penis seemed to want to penetrate her womb. Soon, Wen climaxed.

At this moment, Haitian was in the throes of passion, disregarding everything else, and thrust violently again. Before long, Wen climaxed again, and only then did Haitian climax. About an hour later, their lovemaking was over. Wen was extremely pleased, inseparable from him, and kept Haitian in her room to sleep together. Wen buried her head in Haitian's chest, embracing his waist, determined to marry him, vowing to be his concubine. Haitian could not refuse and had to agree. From that day on, Hai Tian studied in the outer room during the day and secretly went to the inner room at night to make love with Chun Wan. This continued for more than a day, their passion deepening. Hai Tian was overjoyed.

As the examinations approached, Wen Shi prepared food and other necessities, all exquisitely arranged. Hai Tian and Yu Ting entered the examination hall, both extremely pleased with themselves. Their three essays were all beautifully written, each word exquisite, filling them with satisfaction. They indulged in even more unrestrained pleasure.

When the results were announced, Hai Tian achieved the highest rank, becoming the top scholar. The messenger arrived at his lodging, overjoyed. Hai Tian was also happy, much to Chun Wan's delight. She handled everything, and Hai Tian felt very bad, saying with a smile, "My affairs have troubled you so much, Madam. How can I repay you?" Chun Wan smiled and said, "Since you have taken me as your concubine, I should take care of everything. Why are you being so formal?" Hai Tian said, "How could I be formal with you, Madam! I would feel uneasy if I troubled you alone!" Chun Wan glanced at him and said, "Nothing to say." After Hai Tian finished drinking at the Deer Cry Banquet, he saw the examiner arrive. Because Mei Yuting had failed the exam, he drank to relieve his sorrow and asked Chun Wan to prepare food and wine so they could drink together until they were very drunk. Afterwards, if there was nothing else to do, he would go out with him to play, sometimes sitting in elegant places, sometimes drinking at home, often to relieve his boredom. Yuting was quite carefree and did not mind at all.

A few days later, Hai Tian finished his official business and discussed with Chun Wan about returning home. Chun Wan said, "I am now your wife, so I should return to my hometown with you. However, the shop belongs to the Wang family, and all outstanding debts must be settled. This will delay us for another day or two before we can return home." Hai Tian agreed. Hai Tian and Yu Ting stayed a few more days until Chun Wan finished settling the accounts. Then, they boarded a boat and returned to Zhenjiang Prefecture together.

Because there were quite a few people, they hired two boats. Hai Tian and his servant traveled on one boat with Chun Wan, while Mei Yu Ting and his servant traveled on the other. The two boats sailed side by side, allowing them to chat. One day, as they were about to cross the border, they chose a spacious spot to cross and stay overnight. Hai Tian and Yu Ting had dinner, chatted for a while, and then went to bed.

Just as dawn was breaking, a group of bandits boarded the ship to rob it. Many on board were awakened from their sleep. The captain woke first, shouting, "It's terrible! We've encountered thieves!" Li Zhuang was the first to rush out of the ship, but was immediately cleaved into the water by a bandit's knife. Lai Wang, strong and robust, quickly grabbed a long wooden stick used for carrying luggage, rushed out of the cabin, and knocked several bandits into the water. He then saw Mei Yuting on the neighboring ship being provoked by bandits, who were about to attack him. Fearing for his life, Lai Wang shouted and jumped onto the neighboring ship, leaping forward and striking the bandit on the head with his stick. Caught off guard, the bandit's brains splattered, and he died instantly, floating on the water. Hai Tian hid in the cabin, tightly holding Chun Wan, fearing the bandits would harm her, unsure what to do. Lai Wang, however, was surrounded by bandits and seemed unable to defend himself. At that moment, more bandits surged onto the ship.

At that moment, two figures leaped down from a withered tree on the shore. One wielded a long spear, the other a horizontal iron shield. Hai Tian recognized them as Xue Tianmao and Han Yongchao, whom he had met with Li Chun and Wang Shichong during their previous meeting. He was overjoyed, thinking, "This is good. With these two by my side, we will surely turn misfortune into good fortune. Truly, good people are always blessed by heaven." The two men jumped onto the boat, raised their weapons, and began to fight. Seeing two more men arrive, brave and unstoppable, the bandits dared not linger. With a whistle, they scattered and fled for their lives.

Seeing the bandits retreat, Hai Tian quickly helped Chun Wan out of the cabin and onto the deck. He clasped his hands in thanks to the two brothers, saying, "Thank you both for saving me. Otherwise, my life would be in danger." The two brothers returned the gesture, saying, "When brothers are in trouble, we should do our best to help. There's no need for thanks. You're being too polite." Hai Tian then said, "Why are you two here, brothers? I'm truly fortunate to have been saved." Han Yongchao said, "Since we parted last time, Brother Li Chun, Brother Wang Shichong, and I have been very concerned about you and have been thinking of you constantly." "Let's meet with my sworn brother and catch up. The other day, the four of us arrived in Jinling and heard that Brother Haitian had passed the imperial examination with top honors. We were very happy for him and inquired along the way, only to find out that he had already boarded a ship and was on his way home. The four of us rushed over immediately. Last night, we spotted a group of thugs following these two ships. Knowing they were planning to rob us, we followed them. When we saw them board the ship to rob us, the two of us rushed in. Unexpectedly, these two ships happened to be chartered by my sworn brother, and we just happened to save his life." After saying this, the two exchanged a few more pleasantries.

At this moment, the two boats were about to join each other when Hai Tian saw Yu Ting still squatting there, trembling. He quickly went forward to help him up. After sitting for a while, Yu Ting thanked Hai Tian for saving his life. Hai Tian laughed and said, "As the proverb says, 'Those who share the same boat are bound by fate.' Brothers and I are one body. How could I sit idly by and not help? Besides, I was already out of danger when Lai Wang came to rescue you. Fortunately, these two sworn brothers saved us, which is why the bandits fled at the first sign of trouble. Otherwise, my life would have been in danger too." At this moment, Yu Ting saw two warriors standing on the boat and quickly went forward to thank them. Li Chun and Wang Shichong arrived by boat at this time. The group reminisced about their time together, then pushed the bandit's body into the water and instructed the boatman to immediately sail away to avoid the bandits returning.

After everyone arrived at the granary and sat down, Hai Tian asked his four sworn brothers what their future careers would be. Li Chun replied, "We four originally wanted to do our part for the court and sweep away the northern barbarians. However, the current court is incompetent and lacks ambition, only seeking peace by ceding territory and compromising for the sake of peace. Moreover, the court does not accept us, so we have decided to live a carefree life as hermits, content with our simple pleasures." Hai Tian laughed and said, "Each of you four brothers possesses extraordinary talents and has no worries about finding a place to use them. Why then are you willing to retreat to the countryside and live a life of seclusion?" Wang Shichong said, "The ancients were right: powerful ministers are among the most capable." "I have never heard of a general who has achieved great merit abroad. How could the four of us willingly send ourselves to death row? It would be better to find a scenic spot with beautiful waters and mountains, build a thatched hut, cultivate our minds and temperaments, learn the art of longevity, avoid worldly affairs, and live a carefree life. Wouldn't that be wonderful?" Hai Tian smiled without speaking upon hearing this. Yu Ting, upon hearing this, thought to himself, "I escaped death. If no sentient beings had saved me, I would already be a headless ghost. I must wake up from this, for I am still attached to my family and unwilling to turn back." He also had a desire to transcend worldly affairs and wanted to accompany the four of them. So he silently planned to abandon his family and end his life.

Another day passed, and the boat arrived at Zhenjiang Prefecture. Yu Ting said to Hai Tian, "I respectfully invite Brother Qu Si to go ashore first and visit my humble abode. I will wait for you to return home and rest peacefully. Please go to bed early. I will sincerely thank you." After speaking, they all went ashore with the four of them.

Hai Tian ordered his men to moor the boat at the dock. After disembarking, he took Chun Wan with him, with Lai Wang following behind. Back at his residence, the family was overjoyed to hear that Hai Tian had passed the imperial examination with top honors. Ji Shi, Meiniang, and Yao Niang greeted him at the gate. Hai Tian introduced Chun Wan to everyone, and the three women were overjoyed. A banquet was immediately prepared to welcome Hai Tian and Chun Wan. Meanwhile, Yan Ba, who hadn't returned to Jinling once while Hai Tian was there, regretted his decision upon hearing of Hai Tian's success. He thought to himself, "In this world, being opportunistic is the way to go. If I return to the Fang family and say a few opportunistic words, they won't blame me." He hurried back and found the Fang family bustling with people who had come to offer their congratulations. Yan Ba bowed deeply to Meiniang, saying, "Madam, the successful candidate in the imperial examination, your foolish uncle has come to congratulate you." Meiniang praised her uncle for his brilliant strategies that led to this honor, but didn't elaborate further.

The next morning, Hai Tian was about to leave the hall and instructed his family to handle important matters when he saw Yu Ting enter with four sworn brothers. Behind them, two sedan chairs carrying women came out, and two beautiful fairies emerged. Upon closer inspection, they were Yue Ying and Su Lan. Hai Tian was filled with surprise and doubt. Yu Ting said to Hai Tian, "I was on the verge of death when you saved my life. I've realized that wealth and status are fleeting and shouldn't be taken for granted. I'm determined to follow the four heroes to seek the Dao. I'm sending my younger sister with a silk ribbon, and I also beg you to send Yueying to me. This is to express my gratitude for your life, to ensure my family's well-being, and to fulfill my resolve so I won't have to worry. I can still live a carefree life, all thanks to you, brother. As for my meager possessions, I've already distributed them to my family. I'm sending these four heroes to bid you farewell, and I hope you won't leave me." Hai Tian laughed and said, "Brother, why are you being so unreasonable? We were in the same boat and you saved me. What is there to be grateful for? You are in your prime, and your talents will be rewarded in time. Even if you suffer a setback, you can still rise again. Why are you considering leaving the world and abandoning your wife and sister? I truly do not..." "Your wife is already married to several men, how could I possibly favor my younger sister? As for my elder sister-in-law, she is a renowned beauty, how could I bear to think of her and allow her to have another affair? Cultivating immortality and learning the Dao requires a certain kind of person to resolutely pursue it. My brother, you are from a scholarly family, belonging to the Confucian school, yet you abandon it for the Dao. Wouldn't that be laughed at by those in the know? You absolutely cannot do it, and I dare not accept it. Please return to your home." Yu Ting said, "Life and death are inevitable for everyone. If I had already been killed by a strongman the other day, my bones would not even be able to be buried in my grave. What would I have done for my wife and younger sister? Now I have been fortunate enough to have the best of luck. Wealth, fame, love, and pleasure can all be regarded as empty thoughts in the future. I have seen through this, and my will is firm. Brother, please do not refuse." Hai Tian laughed and said, "Human affairs should be judged from the present moment. What has passed is history. There is no need to be happy about it now." This feeling, though vague for those in the future, should not be clung to. If my brother were to perish in a violent attack, he would be dead and irretrievable, and all should be disregarded. Now, though I am still alive, I must remember the weight of our ancestors' legacy. How can I treat this vague sentiment as a precedent? My sister is related to our lineage, and my elder sister-in-law is related to our descendants. We cannot regard this life, which is not truly dead, as a life that is not truly alive. I desperately wish to preserve this life, which is destined to die, so that in the future, I may be reborn. I am willing to accept this nameless gift. Yu Ting said, "Brother, I have much to hate, and I dare not act on that hatred. Please grant me the rest of my life; how can I possibly risk death again? Looking at the past and understanding the causes of the future, it is all the same. My sister was left by our ancestors, so that she may marry well and have someone to rely on for life. My inferior wife is a match made for me, so that I may be attached to her..." "Once you are settled in Zhongzhi, you will never be homeless again. Once this burden is lifted, life is acceptable, death is acceptable, even living without dying is acceptable. Now that you two have come, there is no reason for you to return. I will bid you farewell from now on, and there is no reason for me to go anywhere else. I will not see you again from now on, so please do not make excuses." Hai Tian wanted to decline again, but Yu Ting knelt down on both knees, his mind unwavering. Han Yongchao said from the side, "A true man is clear-headed and decisive, generous and responsible. Why act like a pedantic person, nitpicking over words and wasting your breath?" Hai Tian had no choice but to accept. Hai Tian and the five men bid farewell in the hall. Yu Ting and his four sworn brothers walked out the door. Hai Tian asked, "Brothers, after this farewell, I wonder when we will meet again?" Li Chun said, "We will meet again when the opportunity arises. How can I be sure of our whereabouts?" He raised his hands in a gesture of respect and drifted away.

Meanwhile, Su Lan and Yue Ying were overjoyed to learn that Yu Ting had given them to Hai Tian. They alighted from their sedan chairs and went inside to meet Meiniang, Yao Niang, and Chun Wan. After exchanging greetings, they sat down. Meiniang asked their surnames, which Yue Ying answered in detail. Still unaware of their purpose, the two women exchanged glances, secretly praising each other's beauty. Yue Ying also asked Meiniang their surnames. Yao Niang smiled and said, "This lady is the young master's proper wife, Meiniang." Pointing to Chun Wan, she said, "This lady's surname is Wen, her given name is Chun Wan. My surname is Qiu, and my given name is Yao Niang." Upon hearing this, Yue Ying thought to herself, "So Fang Lang has three beauties in his household." Yao Niang secretly sent Qiu Yue to the hall to inquire. Qiu Yue, hiding behind, overheard the two women exchanging pleasantries and realized they were also members of the same group. She smiled and replied to Yao Niang, who thought to herself, "My cousin is truly a romantic," but dared not say it aloud.

Hai Tian saw several women out, then returned to the hall, pondering: "The marriage to Su Lan can still be negotiated with humility. Yue Ying is currently married; this longing is merely wishful thinking. Unexpectedly, fate has brought them together, truly unforeseen. Only Yu San's daughter remains. She was so sincere and vowed to be with me, and I have already promised to marry her. Now these beauties are all together, yet I've forgotten her. Wouldn't she curse me behind my back for being heartless? I absolutely cannot allow that." Thinking this, he went into the inner room.

He greeted Su Lan and Yue Ying, then smiled at Meiniang and explained the purpose of Mei Yuting's visit. Meiniang nodded with a smile. Hai Tian glanced at Su Lan and Yue Ying again, then went outside, entrusting two elder relatives to prepare betrothal gifts to Yu San's family to propose marriage to Yu Gu. How could Yu San refuse? To be able to establish such a marriage alliance was a wonderful thing for him, especially considering Hai... With Yu Gu having achieved the highest rank in the imperial examinations and a future of immeasurable potential, Hai Tian sent a matchmaker ahead to inform his family. He then personally selected

Yu Gu to come to the Fang residence. Hai Tian was overjoyed to see Yu Gu and immediately ordered his family to choose an auspicious wedding date, which happened to be the second day of the eleventh month in mid-winter. The wedding day arrived, and Hai Tian arranged the beauties in order: first was Meiniang, second Yaoniang, third Sulan, fourth Yueying, fifth Chunwan, and sixth Yu Gu. He prepared three spacious rooms and divided the six women into three households: Meiniang and Yaoniang in one household, Yueying and Sulan in another, and Chunwan and Yu Gu in the third.

On the auspicious day and time, the six fairy-like beauties had their eyebrows trimmed and their powder applied. Their faces were as beautiful as spring mountains and as radiant as flowers, each perfectly made up. The maids from the household lined both sides, creating a scene of great elegance and joy. Hai Tian glanced to his left and saw that Meiniang, Yaoniang, and Sulan were all delicate and charming, recalling their betrothal... At that time, each had a pitiful and lovely scene, making one feel delighted and intoxicated; looking to the right, Yueying, Chunwan, and Yu Niang, the beautiful and graceful woman, recalling the joyful times, there was a unique kind of intimate and charming feeling, making one yearn for them. Truly, the beauties were all exceptionally beautiful, each one more beautiful than the last, their beauty radiant day after day, like a group of Chang'e descending from the Moon Palace. Hai Tian was overjoyed, his face beaming with smiles, unable to contain his happiness. Suddenly, it was like the enchanting dance of the Rainbow Skirt and the clear sound of the Jade Tree, no less than that of heaven, rarely heard on earth. After a while, the banquet ended and everyone returned to their rooms.

Hai Tian was afraid that everyone would go to their own rooms, and it would be too much trouble for him to ask each room for affection. If he were to enter the room of the rotating lodging and ignore the beauties, it would be difficult to feel at ease. Therefore, he prepared a spacious room in advance, called the six beauties to sit and chat, and had all kinds of musical instruments, such as zither, chess, and stringed instruments. Bookshelves were arranged on the west side, with ancient and modern books arranged among them, according to each person's taste. They would gather for entertainment, enjoying the night view, and after their revelry, they would each return to their rooms, leaving with those who had taken turns staying overnight, so that everyone could be happy and there would be no suspicion of closeness or distance.

Hai Tian and Liu Mei lived like this for several years. Seeing the world's decline and the turmoil of war, Hai Tian resigned from his official post and lived in seclusion at home, seeking no fame or fortune. He spent his days indulging in pleasure with Liu Mei, a life better than that of immortals. Later, he took Qiu Yue as his concubine, making her the seventh child. Within a few years, they had six children.

Several springs passed... In the early Southern Song Dynasty, Li Chun and others came to find Hai Tian. Hai Tian then entrusted his entire fortune to his wife, instructing her to manage it well. He himself, having seen through the

vanities of the world, withdrew from public life and lived a carefree life. Thus, the tale could be considered complete. A famous scholar once wrote a poem to commemorate this: "Floating clouds and flowing water pass by day after day, yet the wind still plays with the willows.

All worldly joys are predestined, what does it matter if they are just fleeting clouds and flowing water?"

Another poem says: "

A talented man and a beautiful woman, all because their love is deep.

Joy also contains sorrow, yet the water in the secluded pool remains clear.

" [The End]
