I talked about history all night

    page views:1  Publication date:2023-03-24
The Jade River Incident, also known as the Jade Hook River Incident, marked the beginning of the first full-scale war in the empire's history. History classes typically only state that the female bandit Peninsula Rifan and her group killed their master and several loyal maids on the banks of the Jade Hook River, subsequently inciting a large rebellion of Japanese women, thus triggering the war. Religious circles even directly accused Peninsula Rifan and her followers of demonic possession. Here, we need not concern ourselves with such propaganda, but examine the events themselves.
The Jade Hook River is a small river located on the Palm Continent near the Middle Finger Continent and the Ring Finger Continent. It is a small tributary of the Yongqing River, named for its hook-like shape. At the time, Li Zhengxiong, the instigator of the Jade River Incident, owned nearly 400 square kilometers of land nearby. Furthermore, due to the surrounding swampy lowlands, there were no other citizens within a hundred kilometers. The nearest town with government offices was nearly 150 kilometers from the scene of the incident, and no male officials were permanently stationed there. Li Zhengxiong's so-called mountain villa was only elevated enough to prevent it from being submerged by a major flood.
At Li Zhengxiong's Flower-Destroying Manor, the name itself reveals much about his character: Li Zhengxiong was everything. His only pleasure in his leisure time was to have girls perform striptease, then find fault with them and punish them. Whipping and burning were commonplace. After being tortured, the girls had to continue working for him until one day they were tortured to death, only then were they considered free. It was only due to societal inertia, childhood education, fear of the power of the regime, and the yearning and fear of the afterlife described in religion that the women's thoughts of resistance were repeatedly suppressed.
Han women and some shrewd Japanese women were better off, maintaining a relatively good standard of living by winning men's favor, and besides, men didn't like seeing the women beside them covered in whip marks. Those Japanese women, who were rarely used by men and simply worked, suffered the most. Frankly, Li Zhengxiong was not particularly unique at the time. Many men enjoyed abusing women. For example, historical records indicate that some men would eat while listening to the sounds of women being tortured. They would hang a row of young girls, upright or upside down, in front of the hall, while another group of girls whipped their breasts or genitals. Each time a woman was whipped, the man would eat. If the girl wasn't strong enough, he would hang her up and beat her too. Others, when thirsty, would only drink the blood of girls, cutting open their veins and drinking it on the spot. And so on and so forth. Li Zhengxiong ultimately became a negative example because he made a huge blunder.
The details of the incident are now difficult to ascertain, because of the thirty-five girls Li Zhengxiong took out that day, only one was eventually captured and interrogated, and she wasn't present throughout. The rest of the accounts are relayed by other girls from the villa, recounting the stories of Peninsula Li Fan and others. Piecing together all the information, the events unfolded roughly as follows:
The weather was sunny that day, and Li Zhengxiong took a group of girls to a picnic by the water some distance from the villa. They played cards for a while, then pierced the first two Japanese women and one Han woman who lost, and roasted them together. The girls who lost afterward had their flesh cut off piece by piece and roasted, with Li Zhengxiong having to drink as a penalty for losing. After the meat was roasted, Li Zhengxiong played with the girls while drinking and eating. This scene is quite normal; we often do similar activities when we go on picnics and outings now, and being eaten by a man is considered a good ending by women.
The problem arose after they had eaten and drunk their fill. As the saying goes, everyone has three urgent needs, one of which is defecation. Two girls happened to need to relieve themselves, and since returning to the villa was too far, they found a secluded spot. However, the spot was poorly chosen, being upwind. Soon, Li Zhengxiong smelled the stench and was greatly disappointed, preparing to kill the two girls.
If he really killed them, perhaps everything would be fine. But then a woman nearby chimed in, saying that killing them wouldn't change the stench, so why not let them eat their excrement? Li Zhengxiong thought this sounded interesting and said, "Okay, okay, I'm going to defecate too, let them eat with me." While it was extreme for a man to force a woman to eat excrement, and most people wouldn't do that, it wasn't uncommon at the time. According to the social rules of the time, a man could do anything to his woman as long as he was happy. The two girls were unhappy but resigned to their fate.
Peninsula Li Fan, standing nearby, didn't dare confront the man, but she argued with the favored girls around him. These girls then found some animal excrement in the grass and urged the man to have those lowly women clean it up too. Li Zhengxiong, that foolish fellow, agreed without considering what this meant for the women.
One of the reasons advocating for women's submission to male dominion at the time was the hierarchy and evolution of life; men were the highest, women were next, and everything else was inferior to women. Accepting insults from superiors or peers was somewhat acceptable, but being insulted by something of a lower level was much more serious. All the women present understood this, except for Li Zhengxiong. When the favored women, emboldened by the man's support, forced Peninsula Li Fan and the two girls to eat animal excrement in retaliation, Peninsula Li Fan was the first to erupt. She grabbed the piercing rod that had just been cleared from the grill and plunged it into the chest of the girl opposite her.
The first step is often the hardest, and she took it just like that. The other girls were shocked and completely panicked. Peninsula Li Fan, without hesitation, stabbed several girls to death in quick succession. Li Zhengxiong, still defecating, was also caught off guard by the sudden turn of events. The naked Li Zhengxiong and the equally naked Peninsula Li Fan, wielding the piercing rod, reportedly faced off for ten minutes. The girls involved and some others who had moved away to avoid the argument stood about ten meters away. Li Zhengxiong's last words were said to be, "I will grind you to dust." Perhaps these words further provoked Peninsula Li Fan, or perhaps the girls were already filled with murderous intent; Peninsula Li Fan felt an intense hatred for the man before her and finally plunged the piercing rod deep into his chest.
Peninsula Li Fan's next move was to the remaining twenty or so girls, asking, "What are you going to do? Take me back to claim credit, or come with me?" The decision was made quickly. Even if Peninsula Li Fan was captured and brought back, the master of the house was already dead. The crime of failing to protect him, or the crime of failing to discover any clues after spending many days with the murderer, would be enough to execute not only those who followed him but also most of the people who remained in the manor. This harsh law was later abolished. Li Zhengxiong was far from the first man killed by a woman. At the time, it was believed that such a punishment could prevent such situations to the greatest extent, although it proved not to be true.
Unlike the women who killed men and then committed suicide or ran away, which would only lead to all the girls being tortured to death, Peninsula Li Fan was the first to choose to rebel. To show her determination, she had each of the girls stab Li Zhengxiong's corpse once. Then she took them back to the manor and easily persuaded most of the girls to join her. They then massacred the manor, killing all the Han women, the favored Japanese women, and the other girls who were still hesitant. Afterward, the women began to prepare weapons and food in the manor, and the battle began.
For both men and women, World War I was a sudden event. For men, the long period of peace and comfort had made most forget the possibility of war. Throughout the war, both sides relied heavily on radio for command and control, but the actual fighting on the battlefield was conducted entirely with cold weapons—a consequence of this mindset. For women, even if some harbored rebellious intentions, their short lives and limited social lives rendered them incapable of any strategic planning or military preparation. Take, for example, the Peninsula rebels; had it not been for the sudden Yuhe incident, they would likely have been used as fodder by Li Zhengxiong at any time. Therefore, in the early stages of the war, both sides were constantly adjusting and probing.
The Peninsula rebels' killing of their leader was reported to the government by a Japanese woman close to Li Zhengxiong, and the government immediately called to confirm. The rebels' immaturity was obvious; no one thought of feigning compliance to appease the government and buy time. In the phone call, the rebellious girl unabashedly admitted to killing the man and the woman who brought the news. The government, unaware that war had begun, merely ordered the nearest female police unit to deploy more officers to apprehend the murderer and sent a man with some entourage to follow behind, intending to execute the killer and commemorate the victims. They didn't consider the matter particularly serious. The department in charge of law enforcement believed the outcome would simply be the killing of a thousand or so women, fulfilling the male official's wish.
Three days later, the first battle of the war began in a small grove seven kilometers from the Devastating Flower Manor. The two hundred or so exhausted policewomen, who had traveled day and night, were, by the standards of the time, all under eighteen years old. Their equipment consisted mainly of broadswords, axes, clubs, spears, and a few shields, against approximately eighteen rebel soldiers ambushed in the grove. These rebels were primarily equipped with farm tools, wooden sticks, and some metal implements such as piercing poles. While the police rested, the rebels launched their attack. The battle lasted nearly four hours, ending in the complete annihilation of the police force. All the policewomen were stripped naked, and their bodies and prisoners were taken back to the manor. Just as the rebels had cooked and eaten the women they had killed two days earlier, that night they again held a lavish feast, sending the police corpses to the kitchen while the prisoners were steamed and roasted alive in the courtyard. This shows that at this point, the rebels had not truly considered their purpose and future; they were simply venting their anger and living day to day.
Two days later, gazing at the nearly a thousand heads hanging outside the manor and the countless corpses scattered about, Peninsula Li Fan, realizing the inadequacy of the police, finally set his sights on a grander goal: establishing his own regime. After a brief discussion and debate with his subordinates, they unanimously agreed that they could not sit idly by in the manor and wait for the imperial government's army to arrive; these thousand-plus men would be powerless to resist. They elected Peninsula Li Fan as commander-in-chief, commissioned a flag bearing his name—a small boat setting sail from the peninsula's land—and began their offensive. Because all the rebels were only around twenty years old, severely lacking in experience and politically and militarily inept, the rebels made several major strategic errors from the outset. Later, when the rebel leaders, honed by the war, realized this and attempted to change course, it was too late.
The first major strategic error was the political slogan of Peninsula Li Fan's army: "Kill the men, exterminate the Han, eliminate the traitors." Specifically, this meant killing all men, which was understandable; killing all Han women and eliminating all Japanese women dependent on men, in practice, meant killing all Japanese women who had had sexual relations with men. The rebels already faced a formidable task: eliminating women's fear of religion to recruit members. Now, by explicitly pushing a large number of women to the men's side, the difficulty of male control over society was greatly reduced. The
wise decision of Emperor Mei Jinglei and other sages to separate Han and Japanese women was finally reaping the rewards of their efforts. Frankly, after hundreds of years, with all boys strictly controlled to be born to Han women, the difference in bloodline between Han and Japanese women was probably only a fraction of a million. But since this distinction still benefited male rule, men naturally wouldn't voluntarily abolish it. Women themselves couldn't recognize the men's strategy and instead followed their propaganda to vent their emotions; this was tantamount to courting death, a mistake, not even a blunder.
While some tactical commanders might have emerged from Peninsula Li Fan and her initial subordinates, they never had a single competent strategic planner, let alone at the beginning of the rebellion. However, because they were the first to rise up in battle, their mistakes inevitably had a significant impact on the course of the war. So much so that it wasn't until more than three years into the war that the women's side officially abandoned their slogan of "exterminating the Han and eliminating traitors."
The second mistake was less significant than the first; it could even be called an error. After annihilating the first police force in one battle, Peninsula Lifan's confidence soared. However, in the subsequent series of battles, the police's strength gradually became apparent. Although the police were not a formally trained army, their combat power was still far superior to that of the untrained rebels.
Although the rebels were growing like a snowball, Peninsula Lifan knew that his troops, after some training, could fight against ordinary police forces. However, he was unsure of the true combat power of the supposedly powerful men's army, and neither were the other high-ranking rebels. To be on the safe side, hundreds of thousands of rebels abandoned their offensive towards the center of the Hand Continent and the Thumb Continent, deciding instead to focus on opening up the passage connecting the Middle Finger Continent and the Ring Finger Continent, so that they could retreat to these two continents where the men's power was still relatively weak if things went wrong. Little did they know that this would give the men's imperial government a year-long buffer period.
While Peninsula Li Fan and his group had their reservations, the Imperial government was even more shocked by this unexpected event. Hearing the police force's urgent reports and even reports of defeat on the radio, all the high-ranking officials of the Empire were stunned. The complete annihilation of two hundred policemen by bandits was unprecedented in the Empire's history. It took five full days for all officials above the ministerial level to believe that war was indeed possible.
Since it was war, the army needed to be mobilized. To the Empire's embarrassment, they had no troops to deploy. The men's army that had intimidated Peninsula Li Fan into not attacking was nothing more than something boasted in newspapers and on the radio. In theory, all adult citizens of the Empire were required to receive military training and be able to immediately join the army in case of emergency.
However, years of peace had made citizens indifferent to these regulations. Not only was military training a mere formality, but rapid response was also far from adequate. Eighty percent of the Empire's citizens lived in remote manors, leading their own lives as local tyrants. In an era where horses were the primary mode of transportation, being able to report to the army within a month of receiving an order was considered fast. Therefore, the empire could only immediately mobilize a mere six hundred troops. Before these six hundred could even be deployed, news of the rapid growth of the Peninsular rebels kept arriving, reaching one hundred thousand within a month and a half. Sending these six hundred men to deal with one hundred thousand was tantamount to driving sheep into the tiger's den, so these six hundred men had no choice but to defend the capital to the death.
The failure to immediately send troops did not mean that the empire was inactive; the strength of any highly unified empire should not be underestimated. Throughout the history of Chinese dynasties, even when the people were suffering and their hearts were broken, they still managed to win or lose against large-scale peasant uprisings, sometimes even gaining a slight advantage. Most of the time, peasant uprisings did not directly change the dynasty, but only weakened its power, giving other forces, internal or external, an opportunity to exploit. Moreover, the Xinghan Empire was far from being so corrupt.
After recovering from the initial shock, Emperor Mei Chengdao, Prime Minister Zheng Yizhi, and other high-ranking officials immediately began to deploy measures to quell the rebellion. Mei Chengdao was just over thirty, young and impetuous, while Zheng Yizhi was over sixty, steady and cautious—a perfect match. The experience and wisdom of a sixty-year-old is far greater than that of three twenty-year-olds combined. Strictly speaking, Zheng Yizhi wasn't particularly outstanding; his actions were methodical, lacking any particularly brilliant moves, but also without any major blunders, unlike the strategic errors made by the rebels.
In the initial days, the imperial government discussed the possibility of executing all nine generations of the women involved in the rebellion, severely punishing their sisters, cousins, and so on. However, this idea quickly became futile. First, the rebel numbers were rapidly expanding, and the number of people implicated would be too large, causing excessive damage to the private property of imperial citizens. Second, the women themselves probably only knew about their own sisters and were completely unaware of their other relatives; the empire saw no need to dig them up and create trouble for itself.
The first step in the empire's suppression of the rebellion was to limit its growth; the second step was to build an army for a counterattack. First, news and communications were placed under stricter control. All information related to the rebels and the war had to be censored by the government; violators were punished, with women immediately executed and men punished. Second, citizens and their property around the rebel strongholds were evacuated, and all communication between the rebel-held areas and government-controlled areas was blocked. Third, the economy was placed under wartime conditions, starting locally and then expanding nationwide. The government could readily mobilize women owned by citizens for combat, support, and the production of war supplies. Fourth, the national police force was mobilized, with some concentrated near strategic hubs to maintain a strong defense and delay the rebel expansion, buying the Empire at least six months. The Royal First and Second Armies, later deployed, also undertook the same task.
More mobile police forces were deployed at transportation hubs to suppress any further rebellions that might arise from the rebels' encouragement. This was not unfounded; during World War I, hundreds of women's rebellions were suppressed outside the central battlefields. Due to effective preventative measures, none of these rebellions gained momentum; the largest only grew to a little over 100,000 people and was completely suppressed after a little over a month. Fifth, the police force was immediately expanded. The new police and the subsequently formed regular army were stationed in large numbers along the Huifeng, Rong'an, and Shanghukou lines, both to conduct necessary combat training and to prepare for the worst-case scenario where the front lines could not hold and they would have to hold Thumb Continent.
Next came the formation of a regular army. Men's fighting capacity had plummeted to an all-time low. Not only were their numbers far fewer than women's, but even if an equal number of men fought a trained female rebel army head-on, no one could guarantee a victory for the men. Fortunately, they still had the ancestral wisdom of using women to control women, a method Mei Chengdao and Zheng Yizhi wouldn't abandon.
The women's army was established, its members still selected from recent female graduates, as they were the most loyal to the empire. Their equipment and training were superior to the police force. In wartime, both police and soldiers were simply killed in action. In peacetime, police were disbanded after one or two years and sent to ordinary households. Soldiers were sent to live-fire exercises after three or four years to be killed by trained male soldiers. Of course, the number of female soldiers in peacetime was very small; it wasn't like you think, where you could kill off a whole batch in every exercise.
According to the plan, female soldiers would receive a year of training before going to the battlefield, while police only had three months. Before the female soldiers could go to the battlefield, the frontline mission was to hold off the rebels. However, the outbreak of the Battle of Tonglin six months later forced the First and Second Royal Armies into battle ahead of schedule. The renowned general Lin Dongxu entered history at this time.
The First through Fifth Royal Armies were entirely composed of princesses. Theoretically, since the emperor's semen could not be wasted and there was no shortage of women to bear his children (of course, as you now know, these women were not necessarily of the emperor's true bloodline), the number of princesses in the empire was considerable; the number of princesses born each year could be divided among every citizen into three or four. Unlike princesses on Earth, who were eaten or executed according to men's whims, the princesses of the empire enjoyed a higher status, and their loyalty to the empire was relatively the highest. Faced with the rebels' slogan of "eliminating the Han and eliminating traitors," the possibility of imperial princesses betraying the empire was extremely small. Therefore, when the empire formed its female armies, the First through Fifth Royal Armies were established most smoothly and earliest, followed by other royal armies composed of concubines and palace maids, and general troops.
When the Emperor entrusted the 200,000 men of the First and Second Royal Armies to the officer corps headed by Lin Dongxu, he added that at the time, the highest rank a woman could hold was regimental commander; all commanders above that rank were men. The Emperor told his childhood friend, "You take my sisters with you. I don't expect you to bring them back, nor do I expect you to capture the rebel leader. But you cannot allow the rebels to attack the Huifeng City defense line within a year. If you can't do that, well, the Empire has never had eunuchs before, and probably never will. You can come to my palace and set that record."
The Emperor's words were harsh because the Imperial government was unaware that the rebels' target was only the mainland and was very worried about their growing power. After Li Fan of the Peninsula raised the banner of rebellion, his forces first targeted surrounding manors. These manors offered no resistance and were easily captured. The Empire's small police force was unable to provide reinforcements, and the main force couldn't be mobilized in time. With each manor captured, many women defected to the rebels; some even killed their owners and contacted the rebels before they arrived. Within a month, nearly 500,000 square kilometers of land in the Yongqing River basin and over 600 manors fell into the hands of the rebels. More than 100 citizens who failed to escape were killed, most of them in horrific ways.
Peninsula Li Fan once stripped captured citizens naked and publicly ordered men to arouse them. Once their erections were complete, the base was bound with thread to prevent them from softening, and then iron or wooden rods were inserted into their urethras, with the humiliation, "This thing likes to be inserted everywhere, now you'll taste what it's like to be inserted." When the erections were ruptured, they were cut off at the base and roasted for consumption. As for the punishment of other body parts, these citizens suffered everything that women had endured.
Peninsula Li Fan's first setback came during the attack on a small town garrisoned by 2,000 policemen. With 100,000 rebels against 2,000 policemen holding out against the walls, Peninsula Li Fan spent three days and suffered over 10,000 casualties to achieve victory. A month later, one of its 30,000-strong divisions suffered a setback in its attack on a 5,000-strong police force, losing 8,000 men. Along with the rebels, 40,000 women from nearby estates affiliated with them were executed by the police. These two defeats had little impact on the overall battlefield situation, but they had a significant psychological impact on the rebels. The rebel leaders realized the vast difference in combat effectiveness between trained and untrained troops, and became highly wary of the legendary all-male army.
After deliberation, three and a half months into the rebellion, the rebels decided that their main force of 500,000 men would cease operations for three months of intensive military training, while hundreds of thousands of non-main force troops would continue to expand outwards, harassing the Imperial police's gatherings and strengthening their own power. After the main force's training, they would concentrate all their efforts on opening a passage to the Middle Finger Continent, while another army would be dispatched to probe and attack the Nameless Finger Continent. The Battle of Copper Forest took place against this backdrop, and was the first major battle of World War I.
Copper Forest was a crucial gateway to the Middle Finger Continent. Without control of it, the rebel base's transportation links to the Middle Finger Continent were constantly vulnerable to attack, and their rear would be constantly threatened during amphibious operations. Therefore, the rebels were determined to capture it. However, with the loss of Tonglin, another major city of the empire, Zhongping, was threatened, which in turn threatened Rumeng. At that time, there were no other major cities between Zhongping and Rumeng.
Rumeng controlled the land transportation between Thumb Continent and other continents. After Rumeng was lost, travel to these continents would have to be by water. According to the empire's estimates at the time, the rebels would attack along the route of Tonglin, Zhongping, and Rumeng, and then threaten the Huifeng line. At that point, the rebels would be completely revitalized. Even if they couldn't immediately conquer Thumb Continent, as long as a portion of their forces were stationed on the opposite bank, their main force could easily occupy and digest the other five continents. As the first link in this chain, Tonglin had to be defended. To this end, the empire deployed 300,000 police officers in Tonglin, with over 1,000 citizens dispersed among the various police units as commanders.
After the battle began, the fighting was exceptionally fierce. On the empire's side, the police were better trained militarily than the rebels, and their defense was paramount, supported by fortifications. On the rebel side, they had a numerical advantage, with a main force of 500,000 and support troops of 300,000. Both sides fought with relentless ferocity, battling to the death on the battlefield. Those wounded beyond recovery time were not aided by their own troops.
Ultimately, the outcome of the battle depended on the commanders. Initially, few in the rebel army possessed military expertise, but after more than six months of fierce fighting, a group of experienced officers rose to leadership positions. In contrast, the Empire's thousand-plus citizens had little experience of war, accustomed to ruling their own estates. Even in the military camp, they spent their days watching training with girls, or even hosting nude parties where their police subordinates would strip naked to keep them company. Had it not been for strict wartime orders against abusing female police officers and soldiers, perhaps even more absurd acts would have occurred. Some, with more far-sighted thinking, didn't consider command strategies but instead focused on the rebels' aversion to women who had been intimate with men. They then engaged in gang rape with their subordinates, hoping they would fight for them.
As a result, within just half a month of the battle's commencement, the police force had suffered over half its losses, all of Tonglin's outer defenses had fallen, and Tonglin was in dire straits. Lin Dongxu led two armies on a forced march of half a month, with the Empire providing full support in terms of ships and horses. Their vanguard had just crossed Zhongping after a rapid march of over 2,000 kilometers, while the main force was still between Zhongping and Rumeng, when news of the fall of Tonglin arrived. In this battle, the Empire lost 350,000 policemen (including 50,000 reinforcements), over 500 citizens, and 3.7 million women loyal to the government. The rebels' control line advanced 500 to 1,000 kilometers, and the population of their controlled area increased by over 20 million. The rebels' power reached its first peak, controlling an area of nearly 10 million square kilometers and a population of approximately 100 million.
The Empire's concerns were not unfounded. If utilized effectively, the rebels' 100 million population could provide at least 30 million soldiers within a year. In terms of sheer numbers, the Empire possessed over 10 billion people. However, due to several limitations, this population could not be effectively converted into soldiers. First, a large number of women were inclined towards the rebels; if they were given weapons, they were more likely to turn against the Empire. This group not only could not be used on the battlefield, but also tied down a significant amount of the Empire's military forces in the rear. Only girls fresh out of school and rigorously vetted can be assigned to the army or police force. Second, a large portion of the empire's population consists of underage girls, unsuitable for combat. Third, women cannot be given high military ranks; a woman wielding significant military power poses a greater threat to the empire than a rebel. The male population is limited; even at maximum utilization, the army they can command cannot exceed twenty million, with a normal force of only five million. Unless women are allowed to hold high-ranking positions like army commander or division commander, the empire's military strength is not abundant at any given time, but a key advantage is that it can be replenished at any time.
Faced with the crisis, Lin Dongxu decisively changed his objective, halting and holding the line near Zhongping City with the Royal First and Second Armies. He simultaneously mobilized police forces, organized into battalions and companies without male leadership, to harass the rebels' rear. Meanwhile, he repaired fortifications, reorganized defeated soldiers at the front, and dealt with a group of deserters, executing over twenty. He then reported to the military, the emperor, the government, and the parliament. That same day, a joint telegram from above confirmed the proper handling and offered support. The Imperial Army was greatly encouraged, and training intensified, especially among male officers.
The anticipated battle for Zhongping did not occur. After the rebels' probing attack of 20,000 men was easily crushed, there were no battles exceeding 10,000 men for two months. When intelligence indicated that the rebels' target was the Middle Finger Continent, Lin Dongxu and the Imperial Government were overjoyed. After consulting with Imperial headquarters, Lin Dongxu implemented a series of measures. First, he moved the defensive line on the Middle Finger Continent, facing the Palm Continent, back to ensure the rebels could land on the Middle Finger Continent after fierce fighting. Lin Dongxu worried that if the rebels failed to breach the Middle Finger Continent, they would change their plans and turn back to attack Zhongping. Secondly, a large number of troops and police were transferred to a depth of 100 to 200 kilometers inland from the Middle Finger Continent. This served two purposes: firstly, to inflict heavy losses on the rebels while their forces were not concentrated; and secondly, to ensure that the Middle Finger Continent had strongholds facing both the Index Finger and Hand Continents, serving as springboards for future counterattacks. Thirdly, a large-scale offensive posture was established along the Zhongping line, with commanders from other empire war zones cooperating to shorten the rebels' preparation time and force them to act prematurely.
To achieve this, a large number of police forces and the Royal Second Army were secretly transferred to the Middle Finger Continent. Several other military units currently training were also transferred to the Middle Finger Continent at Lin Dongxu's request; if the front lines held, they would continue training; otherwise, they would serve as reserves. Similarly, on the Zhongping front, the Royal First Army launched an offensive, with its defenses taken over by the Imperial Seventh, Ninth, and Twenty-Fourth Armies, who trained and prepared for war simultaneously.
Finally, nearly a year after the start of the war, the rebels crossed the sea and launched a fierce attack on the Middle Finger Continent. The rebels initially made rapid progress, with 300,000 men landing in just five days and seizing a beachhead 130 kilometers wide and 10 to 20 kilometers deep. However, the subsequent fighting was exceptionally arduous. The Empire evacuated women from the surrounding area, forcing the rebels to rely on supplies from across the strait. Meanwhile, the well-prepared Imperial army relentlessly poured in, replenishing its ranks as it suffered losses. However, the Imperial counterattacks were not particularly effective, being repelled long before reaching the rebel beachhead.
Based on this, it was concluded that the rebel high command largely believed that with a little more effort, the Empire's defenses on the Middle Finger Continent would be breached, and thus they launched a full-scale offensive. Over the next two months, nearly four million rebels perished on the Middle Finger Continent, while the Empire suffered roughly the same losses. The difference was that, for the Empire, as long as the number of male officers was not significant, the number of female soldiers killed was less of a concern, especially since the troops currently on the front lines were only short-trained legions; the true elite forces had not yet been deployed. The rebels relied on persuading women in the occupied territories to replenish their ranks. If they gained only uninhabited areas at the cost of heavy casualties, it would be considered a failure. However, the rebels were already in a precarious position and had no choice but to persevere.
By the sixteenth month of the war, the rebels finally breached the Imperial's defenses on the Middle Finger Continent, occupying a relatively large area and acquiring some supplies and women who hadn't been evacuated or disposed of by the Empire in time. The rebels breathed a sigh of relief, and the Empire breathed an even greater sigh of relief. The battle from Tonglin to the Middle Finger Continent had lasted a full year, yet the main part of the Empire remained unaffected. With a large number of troops completing their planned systematic training and the internal organization undergoing initial reorganization, the Empire prepared for a counterattack.
The Empire's counterattack began in the twentieth month of the war, with four generals attacking the rebel base at Yongqing River from four directions. Lin Dongxu's attack was directed from Zhongping towards Tonglin. Meanwhile, on the Middle Finger Continent, the Empire remained primarily defensive. The rebels claimed a fighting force of twenty million, but only eight million of them had truly experienced war or received formal military training. One advantage for the rebels was that, after more than a year of propaganda, the women in their base areas were determined to fight the empire to the death, meaning that 80 to 90 million women were ready to go to the battlefield at any time. Even if these women were less capable in combat, they should not be underestimated.
At this time, the empire had 15 million formally trained soldiers, with 4 million on the front lines and 1 million remaining in the rear. The other 10 million were not yet formally incorporated into the military and were in training camps throughout the country. Any losses at the front were replenished from the training camps. Therefore, although the empire also suffered losses of hundreds of thousands, its frontline troop strength remained constant. Another advantage for the empire was that it could readily mobilize large numbers of ordinary women as a diversionary force; it didn't matter if they were killed by the rebels, and often, after their use, they were simply transferred to the regular army as rewards. When the troops moved, these "comfort women" were naturally executed. As long as victory was assured, the empire didn't care about such things.
Three months later, due to the heavy losses incurred in attacking the Central Finger Continent, and the Strait of Hormuz splitting the rebel forces in two, the rebels who controlled the continent finally collapsed. The rebel high command was forced to abandon the Hand-Handed Continent and relocate entirely to the Middle Finger Continent. Peninsula Li Fan rejected the suggestion to retreat first, leading a crack force to cover the rebels' transfer. Two years after the outbreak of the war, near Copper Forest, Peninsula Li Fan's personally led troops annihilated an imperial army of several thousand men, only to be ambushed by another imperial force during their retreat.
In their haste to reach their destination, the rebel search party, after confirming there were no enemies on the mountains along the road, did not assign guards but continued searching the next hill. The imperial ambush force took advantage of the twenty-minute gap between the search party's departure and Peninsula Li Fan's arrival to enter their ambush position. This imperial force belonged to the Royal First Army under Lin Dongxu's command and was highly experienced in combat. At the time, they did not know who their target was, but with two thousand men attacking thirty thousand, they knew they had to defeat them in one fell swoop.
Although the rebels' uniforms were indistinguishable, this unit of the Royal First Army accurately identified the area where Peninsula Lifan was located as the headquarters. The seasoned warriors possessed a distinct aura compared to new recruits, and Peninsula Lifan's guards were clearly the elite of the elite, even though they deliberately dressed similarly to the others. The battle lasted less than ten minutes. The Imperial army, positioned on higher ground, emptied a quiver of thirty arrows and withdrew before the rebels could close in. Peninsula Lifan and his horse were hit by hundreds of arrows, nearly a hundred of which pierced his armor. Over a hundred of Peninsula Lifan's personal guards were wiped out.
The Empire only learned of their successful ambush of the rebel leader two days later. All the male officers under his command were rewarded and promoted, while the princesses and female soldiers who distinguished themselves in the battle were mostly taken into Lin Dongxu's inner quarters, enjoying a lifestyle far exceeding that of ordinary women until the age of legal restriction for women in the Empire. The entire Imperial army was greatly encouraged and became even more aggressive in their attacks on the rebels.
The rebels were momentarily thrown into disarray, but surrendering to the Empire was unthinkable. Haunted by the shadow of defeat and brutal deaths, the rebel soldiers were determined to fight the Empire to the death. Only a few remained clear-headed, including Furong Xiangsi and Riying Jinghong, but even they couldn't calm the entire rebel force in a short time.
For the next month, fierce fighting raged along the Tonglin-Zhongping line. The 4.2 million rebels remaining on the Palm Continent, along with the 17 million rebellious women they were protecting, halted their retreat and took up arms, charging towards Lin Dongxu's positions. Lin Dongxu's forces comprised only six armies, and the rear reinforced them with as many as 37 standard armies in a short period, barely managing to prevent a rout. However, the battle line inevitably shifted 400 to 600 kilometers towards the Imperial army.
The rebels, finally at their limit, attacked a superiorly trained and well-equipped enemy with fortifications, resulting in heavy casualties. Within a month, the rebels lost over ten million men along the Zhongping line. Once the initial anger subsided, the rebels' fighting strength and will to fight were no longer enough to withstand the Imperial army's counterattack. Three months after Li Fan's death on the Peninsula, the combined number of rebels and the territory controlled by the Middle Finger Continent and the Palm Continent had shrunk to one-third of their peak size. The Empire was already preparing for its final victory celebration.
The battles of Hibiscus Nostalgia and Sun Shadow's Astounding Rainbow shattered the Empire's dream of a swift end to the war. Faced with the Empire's encirclement, over a dozen rebel groups broke through the encirclement from different directions, drawing the flames of war into Imperial-controlled territory. Among them, Hibiscus Nostalgia and Sun Shadow's Astounding Rainbow were the most successful. Let's start with Sun Shadow's Astounding Rainbow, who commanded a rebel force on the Middle Finger Continent. While other larger rebel groups fought desperately but were forced to retreat, Sun Shadow's forces feigned panic, luring the Imperial army into an overreach, before suddenly attacking the Imperial army's rear. An Imperial army group headquarters, an army headquarters, two division headquarters, and a large number of soldiers perished in the battle. In particular, several command posts with concentrated male officers were surrounded and annihilated by the rebels, causing heavy losses to the Empire. More seriously, the myth of men's superior fighting ability was shattered, significantly impacting later history.
Because most previous battles had occurred between women, with men primarily serving as commanders, direct hand-to-hand combat between men and women was rare. The war has now lasted nearly two and a half years. Large-scale direct combat between men and women—though still relatively small compared to the scale of the women's war—occurred during the siege of the Imperial 28th Army headquarters by the Shadow of the Sun. The
Imperial 28th Army bore the brunt of the Shadow of the Sun's counterattack. Its command post was suddenly besieged by rebel forces during its advance, cutting off its retreat. Left with no other option, it temporarily occupied a nearby hillside to hold out for reinforcements. Unfortunately, two divisions of the Imperial 4th Army, one division and five independent brigades of the 13th Army, and one division of the Royal 7th Army were all retreating steadily in fierce fighting. The strongest forces in the theater, the Royal 2nd and 4th Armies, were hundreds of kilometers away. The fighting began in the afternoon, and by evening, the two guard regiments of the headquarters had been almost entirely wiped out. All male officers and staff were forced to take up bows, arrows, swords, and spears and fight themselves.
The Shadow of the Sun was also greatly excited about having surrounded a large number of Imperial male officers, as the rebels had never before annihilated an Imperial command post of division level or above. To deal with the Imperial army, the rebels abandoned the encirclement of the Imperial 13th Army and the Royal 7th Army, opting instead for a diversionary tactic. Concentrating over 30,000 elite troops, they were determined to annihilate the 28th Army within a few days. The following morning, 2,000 crossbowmen and 1,000 swordsmen and shield bearers, along with 1,000 engineers, cleared the battlefield obstacles. Then, 2,500 cavalry, under the cover of the crossbowmen, launched their charge.
To the rebels' surprise, a single charge captured the Imperial army's position. Over 220 Imperial citizens were killed, while the rebels suffered approximately 150 casualties. Frankly, these were Imperial officers with over two years of combat experience, which explains their considerable firepower against a force many times their size. At the beginning of the war, it would have been questionable whether they could have killed so many rebels.
Riying Jinghong could hardly believe her eyes. After repeated confirmation, she finally accepted that an Imperial army headquarters had been wiped out. Overwhelmed with grief, Riying Jinghong burst into tears, crying out, "Sister Lifan, we risked our lives crossing the sea to escape such fools? You died so unjustly!" All the women were heartbroken. After weeping, Riying Jinghong ordered that the hearts and heads of Imperial citizens be used as offerings to the fallen rebels and those who had left the peninsula. He also ordered all his units to immediately pursue and annihilate the Imperial forces in front of them, especially the command headquarters. However, taking advantage of the rebels' temporary pause in their attack that night, most of the Imperial army had already broken free of the encirclement, and their command headquarters were under tight protection. In the end, only two divisions of the Fourth Army and the headquarters of the Ninth Army Group, which commanded the Fourth, Thirteenth, and Twenty-Eighth Armies, were annihilated.
Even so, the blow to the Empire was severe. For the Empire, the loss of ordinary female soldiers was not a big deal, as they could be replaced at any time. However, the loss of male officers was difficult to replace. Moreover, the male combat power was exposed to the rebels and Imperial female soldiers. First, the rebels attacked the Imperial command headquarters more recklessly, unlike in the past when they only dared to target the Imperial command headquarters when they had concentrated absolute forces. Second, the authority of the Imperial army's orders among the lower-ranking female soldiers was reduced. At the same time, this battle allowed the rebels to occupy a large amount of land in the central part of the Middle Finger Continent, and to obtain long-awaited personnel and supplies. Riying Jinghong's ranking on the Empire's wanted list quickly rose from outside the top thirties to second place. The current number one is Furong Xiangsi.
Furong Xiangsi had been assisting Peninsula Lifan in his operations. After Peninsula Lifan's death, unable to dissuade several rebel generals from launching a retaliatory and suicidal attack, she volunteered to command the operations on the Wumingzhi Continent. Almost simultaneously with Riying Jinghong's defeat of the Imperial army, Furong Xiangsi used almost the same method to lure the Imperial army forward. When a gap appeared in the Imperial encirclement, Furong Xiangsi's rebel army secretly slipped out. At that time, Furong Xiangsi's rebel army was smaller than Riying Jinghong's and unable to attack any Imperial army. She led her rebel army through more than half a month of day and night travel, suddenly appearing at Pinghai City, 600 kilometers from the front lines, and quickly capturing it. Pinghai
City was the largest city to fall to the Empire during World War I; more than half of the land traffic between Wumingzhi Continent and Thumb Continent passed through this city, and land traffic between Little Finger Continent and Thumb Continent was also forced to detour. Four imperial armies were forced to withdraw from the front lines to pursue Furong Xiangsi. Half a month later, Furong Xiangsi abandoned Pinghai, and its army scattered to attack nearby towns and manors, which the four imperial armies could not stop.
Simultaneously, due to the withdrawal of the four armies, a huge gap appeared in the imperial encirclement, allowing a large number of rebels to infiltrate behind the lines and wage guerrilla warfare. Suddenly, war raged on all sides, with almost every part of the Palm Continent and Middle Finger Continent under threat. Battles actually occurred in 95% of the counties and cities, and 62% of the towns.
Two months later, a portion of Furong Xiangsi unexpectedly crossed to the Little Finger Continent, while another portion persuaded some civilian garrison troops on the Nameless Finger Continent to defect, further expanding the war zone. The rebels reached their second peak, claiming to control over 300 million people, though the actual population was estimated to be just over 100 million.
The empire changed its strategy, relocating large numbers of women to cities for concentrated living, and concentrating those who could not be relocated to small towns. Women's movement in and out of towns and their communication were strictly restricted, and a large number of police and troops were concentrated to defend these towns and strongholds. Under such defense, it was difficult for the rebels to capture strongholds and replenish their ranks. If a town was in danger of falling, the empire would proactively send women into battle as cannon fodder or simply kill them. The main force of the regular army concentrated its forces to encircle and annihilate the rebels in waves, killing all women in the battle zone, gradually eroding the rebels' strength.
Without reinforcements, and with each loss lessened, the rebels' power gradually declined. By the beginning of the fourth year of the war, the rebels' strength had shrunk to about one-third of its peak. The empire intensified its offensive, but no longer acted rashly as before. Instead, it occupied a territory, wiped out its inhabitants, consolidated its positions, and then advanced. Two months later, Riying Jinghong's command post was besieged by the Royal Second Army under Lin Dongxu's command, and Riying Jinghong himself was beheaded on the battlefield. Fifteen thousand of his rebel troops and women who had allied with him were killed, and over four hundred captured rebel officers were all executed by slow slicing.
A month later, Furong Xiangsi, while attacking a small town, was surrounded by the Imperial Tenth Army, commanded by another Imperial general, He Yingpeng. After being unhorsed, Furong Xiangsi died under the hooves of his horse in the melee. After the deaths of Riying Jinghong and Furong Xiangsi, the rebels never again produced a leader of the same rank. The fighting continued for nearly a year, and the nominal leaders of the rebels changed more than thirty times, each appearing only for a few days to a month before being killed by the Empire.
More than five years after the start of the war, the war finally ended in an Imperial victory. Not counting sporadic rebellions, the war spread to four continents; including the sporadic rebellions, the war spread to all six continents. During the war, the Empire suffered over 4,700 civilian deaths, 65 million female soldiers and police officers, and killed 180 million rebels. The number of other women who died unnatural deaths exceeded 500 million, and property losses were incalculable.
After World War I and before the start of World War II, the Empire experienced over a hundred sporadic rebellions, all of which can be considered remnants of the war. World War I brought about profound changes to the Empire's politics, economy, and social life, changes that began from the very start of the war. Because World War I and World War II occurred relatively close in time, and the socio-political changes were gradual, their timeline encompassing the course of World War II, we will first discuss the course of World War II before addressing the socio-political changes of this period.
After Liu Yunfei finished speaking, Mei Xianwen and the others were still listening with great interest. After a while, Mei Xianwen asked, "It's unbelievable. Why didn't the rebels attack Thumb Continent to destroy the Empire? Why did they turn around and attack Middle Finger Continent just because of the legendary powerful Imperial army? If they had concentrated all their strength to launch a fierce attack on the Zhongping-Rumeng line from the beginning, could the Empire have withstood it?"
Liu Yunfei said, "That's hard to say. After all, history doesn't allow for 'what ifs.' Many people think that if the rebels attacked Thumb Continent directly, the Empire might be finished. I think this view is debatable. A high probability is that, like in World War III, the two sides will be locked in a protracted stalemate along the Huifeng line. The Empire's strength should not be underestimated, especially when it is pushed to a dangerous position. Its potential outburst is unpredictable. As for the first question, as Sun Tzu said, 'To subdue the enemy without fighting' is exactly like that. The reason the rebels avoided the Imperial army was not only due to the Empire's propaganda after the start of the war, but more importantly, it was due to the sense of oppression that men had accumulated over women over the previous three hundred years. Women were told from birth that men were the masters." The dominant force is irresistible and possesses superior abilities, while women are subordinate and weak. Such an environment and subconscious mindset cannot be easily broken through by a single piercing of the peninsula's sails. Therefore, war is not merely battlefield fighting; cultural and ideological clashes during peacetime are also war. Objectivity and fairness are not mandatory principles in propaganda; promoting one's own development and suppressing the opponent are the true objectives. Of course, giving an impression of objectivity and fairness is also essential for successful propaganda, which mainly relies on image building in non-critical areas and periods.
Guo Shengtian asked, "So, the media can't criticize their own side?" Liu Yunfei replied, "Of course not. To judge whether criticism is benevolent or malicious, one must consider whether the criticism aims to help oneself improve, or to undermine one's morale and will, cultivate a sense of defeat, or even sow discord. The former is urgently needed, while the latter must be resisted. In real life, it's sometimes difficult to distinguish; you'll need to gradually accumulate experience."
Mei Xianwen was still somewhat doubtful: "If it were me, I would at least try first." Liu Yunfei laughed: "Hindsight is always 20/20. But when your decision concerns the fate of thousands, can you still try? This isn't a game where you can just start over after failing. And Peninsula Lifan and the others obviously can't be as indifferent to the fate of their women as the Empire. Actually, their performance was already quite good. After the success of the Battle of Sun Shadow and Rainbow, the rebels immediately became more aggressive in their attacks on the Imperial Army's command headquarters. In history, there have been many who, despite their victories, doubted their own defeats and were too intimidated by the enemy's illusory appearance to move."
Cui Sihua said: "Looking at the data the principal just showed, the area controlled by the rebels seems disproportionate to their population; their population is significantly lower." Liu Yunfei said: "Your observation is correct. This is the achievement of the Imperial government, not the army. To slow down the potential expansion of the rebels, several months after the start of the war, people began to be relocated from areas threatened by the rebels." The troops were evacuated, leaving only the forces necessary to support the front line. At the same time, a few months after the war began, the imperial army's standard combat mode was to immediately massacre the local effective forces after occupying the opponent's area. When retreating, the first thing to do is to kill all the people who cannot be taken away. In the later period, this rule was implemented particularly resolutely. In this way, even if the rebels occupy a place, the number of personnel supplements
they can get is limited. Mei Xianwen looked at the sky outside and said, "Today went by so fast." Liu Yunfei said: "Then you hurry up and get rid of these little girls, and we can go out." "The girl next to me protested: "You can't be careless. Liu Yunfei stroked the girl's back and said, "I would like to skin you, but unfortunately I don't have time." He turned to Mei Xianwen and others and said, "You decide, choose a quick but not sloppy method." "
A few young people discussed and tied ten girls together side by side, that is, the upper arm of one girl was tied to the upper arm of another adjacent girl, and the lower arm was cut behind her back to fix it. Finally, the two girls at the beginning and the end were pulled together and tied together to form a ring facing the outside. Afterwards, Mei Xianwen and the others pulled ropes down from the roof beams. The girls said, "Aren't we just going to hang ourselves like this?" Guo Shengtian said, "Actually, hanging ourselves like this wouldn't feel so bad, but today the ropes are just to prevent you from falling."
They pulled the girls up until their heels were just off the ground, then several people clipped electrodes to the girls' nipples and clitoris, turned on the power, and slowly increased the voltage. Zhou Ke said, "Let you jump for a while first. If anyone can't take it anymore, just shout, and we'll raise the voltage, and you'll all die together. It saves us time, and you won't be lonely on the way."
Under the stimulation of the electric current, the girls' bodies involuntarily made various movements, like dancing. With slightly more vigorous movements, their feet would lift off the ground, their posture resembling that of someone on a gallows. Vaginal fluid and urine flowed uncontrollably. At first, when they could still endure it, the girls didn't want to end it too soon, and even those who couldn't bear it considered whether their companions wanted to end it. After a few minutes, the girls wanted to end it but couldn't speak, only twisting their bodies and thighs in the middle. Liu Yunfei waved his hand, and Mei Xianwen suddenly increased the voltage to over a thousand volts. After a series of crackling sounds, the aroma of roasting meat wafted through the air. The girls were completely mesmerized, their bodies still trembling occasionally, until the men had all left the house.
In the pavilion by the pond, Qian Dai and Xiao Lan, along with a group of girls, had been waiting for a while. Seeing everyone come out, a pale yellow figure rushed straight to Mei Xianwen, exclaiming, "Your Highness, why are you so late? We're starving!"
Guo Shengtian and the others beside him sneered, "Oh, Feng, we're hungry too. How about we roast you and eat you? We're full, and you don't even know you're hungry." Mei Xianwen said, "Don't pay attention to these lecherous wolves. If my sister doesn't agree, they won't get any. Let your Crown Prince brother pamper his sister first." He supported her back with one hand, straightened Feng Dongming's skirt with the other, and lifted her up by the buttocks.
Feng Dongming hooked her arm around Mei Xianwen's neck, rested her head on his shoulder, and pointed at him with her other hand, saying to everyone, "Don't call me 'little sister,' call me 'older sister.' Call me 'older sister,' and I'll tell you a story." Mei Xianwen and Feng Dongming then started bickering like sisters. Qian Dai came over and said, "Good girl, just let him call you 'little sister' a few times. Who told you to be so small?" Hua Ying Xiaolan chimed in, "That's right. For so many years, His Highness the Crown Prince has been eating, playing, killing, and sleeping with 'older sister.' Even in his dreams, he says, 'Older sister, I want to cut off your breasts.' Now that he's a bit older, it's about time he had a chance to play with 'little sister.' Just let him have his fun."
Mei Xianwen was surprised and said, "When did I talk in my sleep? And who told you? If they find out, I'll teach him a lesson." Zhou Kenan and the others, upon hearing this, all turned around and went to hug their maids. Meanwhile, Feng Dongming was complaining to Minghu Qiandai, her free hand slightly pulling down her long skirt to reveal the edge of her breasts, pointing and saying, "Where are they small? Doesn't everyone see? She's over nineteen, while the Crown Prince is clearly not even eighteen yet."
Qiandai was about to reply to Dongming when she heard Mei Xianwen shouting, and gritted her teeth, "Who are you going to punish! I haven't found anyone to vent my anger on yet. The 'sister' you mentioned in your sleep is preceded by my name and Xiaolan's name." Seeing the angry Qiandai approaching, Mei Xianwen was at a loss, wondering if he had really said such things in his sleep. Zhou Kenan and the others pretended not to hear, happily playing with their maids.
Qiandai's face was close to Mei Xianwen and Feng Dongming, paused for a moment, her eyes darting around, and she realized that she couldn't do anything to Mei Xianwen. Changing her demeanor, she turned and ran to Liu Yunfei, saying, "Master, we're still your people now. The Crown Prince is harassing us, and you're not going to do anything about it? We're quitting."
Liu Yunfei was startled by Qian Dai and naturally wouldn't get involved in such a trivial matter. He said to Qian Dai, "I can't do anything without evidence. Here's what we'll do: Xianwen, don't lose your temper with Qian Dai. Cooperate with them. Qian Dai and Xiaolan, you two go and interrogate Xianwen yourselves. Let Consort Feng discuss his punishment with you." Dongming breathed into Mei Xianwen's ear and said, "Call me 'sister,' and I'll help you. Otherwise, I'll help those two sisters." Mei Xianwen felt something was off, but couldn't quite put her finger on it. Dongming didn't get a reply from the Crown Prince, but instead noticed Liu Yunfei staring at her chest. She blushed, got off the ground, and hid behind Mei Xianwen.
Liu Yunfei said, "Not bad, not bad. Don't be nervous, I won't do anything to you. I just remembered that the Emperor invited me to eat with a few young girls, they tasted quite good, and they even resembled Consort Feng a bit. Xiaolan, where's my lunch?" Huaying Xiaolan said, "Master was too busy looking this way, Xunwei and Mingchan have been waving at you several times, but you didn't see them."
Sure enough, from behind the flowers, Dongshan Xunwei and Fangshu Mingchan's two small faces appeared, waving at Liu Yunfei. Liu Yunfei slapped Xiaolan's bottom: "You little girl, are you calling your master an old lecher? Go and let them come over, with me here, those little wolves won't dare to do anything."
Xunwei and Mingchan directed several girls to tidy Liu Yunfei's clothes and serve him water and wipe his sweat. After they were mostly settled, their attention turned to Feng Dongming. Xunwei said, "This sister's clothes are so beautiful." Dongming immediately jumped over, "You called me sister, that's great! Listen, this little sister called me sister." Mingchan said, "She might not be doing this out of kindness, she probably just likes your dress." Xunwei stomped on Mingchan's foot, saying, "We're sisters, don't you dare undermine me." She raised her voice, "In terms of age, Consort Feng is indeed older than us. Sister Qiandai, you told us that last night, right?"
Qiandai smiled without answering, while Feng Dongming said, "No matter what, I'm the older sister now. If you like it, this dress is yours. I also have some other clothes and jewelry there, you can have them all if you like." "After I entered the palace, everyone called me 'little sister,' even my subordinates in the palace called me 'Imperial Consort Little Sister,' it infuriated me!" Mingchan hopped around a few times, clutching her foot. Seeing no one paying attention, she put her foot down and came closer. "Imperial Consort Feng became an Imperial Consort at such a young age, surely there's a way to discipline them?" Dongming said, "How can that be? Women's different positions are for the convenience of social management and operation, but all women are equal. To punish them, they can only be punished if they harm the Emperor or other citizens, or violate the law and rules. For my own title, that's unacceptable. You can't do that here either, can you?" Mingchan, Qiandai, and the others nodded in agreement.
Liu Yunfei nodded and said, "Consort Feng is indeed quite good. It seems that Mei Xianwen has gotten lucky again. If you have time, you can come and chat with Xunwei and Mingchan. Qiandai and Xiaolan know how to find them and aren't worried about me being there. Xunwei, let's go. Once you girls start chatting, it'll never end."
On the way, Mingchan said, "His Majesty the Emperor really has an eye for talent; he chose the right person." Liu Yunfei smiled and said, "The Emperor probably hasn't even met Consort Feng yet. Given the grandeur of the palace, all the concubines and maids who have served the Emperor would be executed on the spot. Besides, the Emperor wouldn't allow girls who have served him to serve his son again. As for the positions in the palace, although they are all appointed by the Emperor, except for the Empress, whom the Emperor might look at the materials and decide on some choices, the others are all just things that the officials report, and he signs and seals them."
Xunwei said, "Then what if the Emperor doesn't like the person he chooses?" Liu Yunfei said, "Then..." It's even simpler. If they're not satisfied with someone when they get close, they're dragged out and killed, then replaced. If several groups are dissatisfied, the old man will probably eliminate even more people. The girls entering the palace are actually observed outside for quite some time. Besides the palace, the royal family owns vast amounts of property in various regions, requiring a large number of people to manage it. A girl's fate is decided after graduating from middle school, but the emperor needs girls of all ages. Therefore, most girls destined for the royal family don't enter the palace directly, but work in various regions for varying periods before being sent to the palace. Each girl's position is gradually determined during this time, based on appearance or ability. After this period of observation, major mistakes are generally avoided. Once in the palace, a girl's life rarely exceeds six months.
Meanwhile, Feng Dongming is making a fuss about going to find Xun Wei and the others, using the excuse that Mei Xianwen hurt her last night and she can't climb the mountain today. Zhou Kenan sneered, "How can that be? We're planning to kill you today and cook you." Mei Xianwen said, "Don't even think about it. Even if Sister Feng is shot, I can have her replaced. Xiuzhu and Bailu can take her place, so of course Sister Feng can be replaced. I want to keep her until the third day." Seeing the expressions of the others, Mei Xianwen knew that if he kept Consort Feng by his side, those three would definitely gang up on him. So he agreed to Feng Dongming's request and let her stay with Xiaolan and the others today.
After Liu Yunfei finished lunch, Xunwei and Mingchan led the maids to carry out the leftovers and the girl who had been eaten—actually, only her thighs and back had been tasted a few times. Four other trainee stewards came to relieve Xunwei and the others, taking care of Liu Yunfei during his nap.
After Liu Yunfei woke up, Qi Feifei and the others came over, reported on some of the morning's events, received some instructions from Liu Yunfei, and then came out. Qi Jinfeng said to Feifei and the others, "Before, you were only responsible for your own tasks and weren't familiar with other things. From now on, you'll need to know about all the big and small things in the family. Today, I'll show you some things first." Turning to Juyan Hengxiang, she asked, "Are Sisi and the others ready?" Hengxiang replied, "Yanyu went over first, so they should be ready. Anyway, we're just taking a look today."
The group made their way to a workshop, which was filled with unfinished or broken furniture. Sisi Yu, Sisi Wu, and a group of girls stood in front of some leather sofas and chairs, pointing and gesturing. Fu Shuangrong explained to Yue Yingchun and the others, "This is a set of furniture that the master often uses. It's a pity the outer leather is a bit old, so we're replacing it while the household is undergoing changes." Guan Piaoxu asked, "Do we need to buy some leather?"
Mu Cunyan came over to greet them and chimed in, "If we went outside to buy it, we wouldn't need to come here. See Sisi and the others? There are four trainee stewards, twelve eunuchs, and twenty-four ordinary maids. We'll use their leather. In this plan, a considerable number of people will be executed in the household, so we can make good use of them."
Sisi and the others took off their clothes and gathered together to take several photos. Then, each of them took photos, either standing or kneeling in front of the furniture. Shuangrong explained, "First, we need to let the master see it and see if he's satisfied with the skin texture and the furniture. Actually, we've been choosing for a while now, so there shouldn't be any problems. But the master values his final decision. You should also pay attention to this in the future. In matters involving a girl's life or death, even if it's a minor matter that's almost certain, you should inform the master first. As for other matters, you can make more decisions."
Soon, the photoshoot was finished. The girls gathered around to talk. Sisiyu asked Jinfeng, "When can we start?" Jinfeng replied, "In three days. You can relax these next couple of days and eat well. The day before you start skinning them, you'll have to restrict your food and have an enema. Be careful not to get hurt." Sisiwu said, "Don't worry, we'll be careful. Or, we could have them all move to our place so we can look after each other. Then you won't have to search for people everywhere; just call me and we'll have them all." Shuangrong said, "That's a good idea. You can go now." Yueyingchun
watched as the Sisiyu and Sisiwu sisters called the girls away and sighed, "Time flies. When Feifei and I arrived here, it was Sisi and the others who picked us up. I can't believe they're leaving already." Yanyu said, "Beauty is often short-lived; it's been that way since ancient times." Of course. We are not all the same. Sisi and the others are already the oldest intern stewards in the family. They are older than most of you stewards. It’s time to leave. Mu Yu asked: "Why haven't they been promoted?" "Jin Feng said: "The places are limited. Our master has decided that there will only be twelve pairs of stewards and thirty-six pairs of intern stewards. Every time there was a vacancy, Sisi and the others almost missed it. After turning twenty-two, I have to make way for my younger sisters again. "Shuang Rong said: "Actually, it's good not to be promoted. Anyway, the master treats them both well, and they can worry less.
Mu Yu said: "Actually, just like Diewu and the others, they are about to die anyway. Why don't you give them a false title of steward to keep them happy for a few days?" "Yan Yu said: "Since you are going to die anyway, why bother with a false title. "Mu Yu was speechless. Jin Feng said: "If you are given too many false titles, even a serious position will be worthless. On the contrary, it will cause sequelae. Because Diewu and the others were connected with the prince and others, they would not be able to hold back after opening their mouths, so the master just went along with the flow. "
The women spent half the day busy in various parts of the town. Jin Feng, Shuang Rong, Yan Yu, and Heng Xiang explained things to Fei Fei, Ying Chun, Mu Yu, and Piao Xu one by one, especially some matters that Fei Fei and the others had never dealt with before. Other girls kept coming in to report things or ask for their opinions. Jin Feng and the others let Fei Fei and the others make their own decisions, adding a word or two after they finished speaking. This continued until dinner, leaving Fei Fei and the others exhausted. Shuang Rong said, "Don't be nervous. Jin Feng and I are working hard because we don't have much time, so we want to get things done as quickly as possible. It will be much easier once you get things on track."
After dinner and meeting with Liu Yunfei, Fei Fei sat on the sofa next to them and let out a long sigh, saying, "Today's work should be finished by now, right?" Jin Feng said, "You and Ying Chun should rest for a while; there's still something to do later." Fei Fei rolled her eyes and pretended to be dead. Yan Yu pinched her nose and pulled her back. Shuangrong and Jinfeng exchanged a glance and suggested, "How about this, Yanyu, Hengxiang, take Muyu and Piaoxu back to sleep first, and get up early tomorrow morning to serve Master's breakfast. Feifei and Yingchun can sleep in a little longer tomorrow morning." Feifei protested, "Why can't we go back to sleep first?" Yanyu said, "Because Muyu and Piaoxu are no longer virgins, they don't need to open their eyes anymore. Let the two of you enjoy the performance alone, do you still have any complaints?" Feifei's eyes lit up, she stopped talking, and went to rest in Yingchun's arms.
Just as Yanyu and the others left, Qiandai and the others came in. Liu Yunfei called them over to inquire about the situation of Mei Xianwen and the others. The women gave their reports, and finally Xiaolan said, "The Crown Prince and the maids went back to their rooms, so it wasn't convenient for us to go in. That's why we came to check on them."
Liu Yunfei said, "They're still children after all. When they act like older brothers, they feel like they've grown up a lot. Sigh, I've had those moments too. But in the blink of an eye, I can only find my older sister in my dreams. And in another blink, I can't even find my younger sister anymore. There are so many girls in the room, what can I call them? I can only call them maids." Huaxue seemed to understand Liu Yunfei's sentiments, and asked, "We girls are the ones whose youth is so fleeting, how can you have such thoughts, Master?" Liu Yunfei said, "No matter how long a person lives, they will eventually die. And we have a worry that you girls don't have, which is that we are alive but powerless. It's laughable that there are people over there who want to see Master perform, but now Master is at most a prop."
Qiandai wanted to ask more questions, but Liu Yunfei chased them away. Over there, Shuangrong whispered, "I didn't expect the master's ears to be so sharp; he heard everything we just said. But don't pay him any mind. Look, he even got hard when he had the little girl collect his urine." Jinfeng chuckled softly, "That little girl must have been up to something. I'm sure she's been teasing the master's thing with her tongue for a while now."
After some time, the girls gradually left, and the song and dance performance arranged for Liu Yunfei to watch also ended. Liu Yunfei specifically asked the names of a few girls, then called all the performing girls to his side and chatted for half an hour before letting them go home.
The girls on duty escorted Liu Yunfei back to the dormitory, and Jinfeng pulled Yingchun and the others inside. The dormitory consisted of several interconnected large rooms. The outermost room was where the girls on night duty rested, and there were surveillance cameras monitoring the inner rooms. Jin Feng explained to Fei Fei, "We can see inside from here. There are no doors between these rooms, so if anything happens, people outside can quickly get in. Also, the girls inside don't have to worry about disturbing the master's sleep when they come out to rest at night. Once the master is asleep, no talking is allowed here." Fei Fei asked, "Why aren't there any beds here?" Shuang Rong replied, "They're not allowed to sleep while on duty. They can only go back to catch up on sleep after the shift ends the next morning. However, they won't be on night shifts like this more than once a month."
Inside, there were several rooms, each with a large bed. Jin Feng said, "The largest one could comfortably sleep thirty people. The master hasn't used it much these past few years." On the monitor, the girl who brought Liu Yunfei back handed him over to a group of girls waiting in the room, then came out to greet Fei Fei and the others before leaving.
The thirty or so girls in the room had just showered, wearing sexy lingerie or pajamas, some draped in light gauze or wrapped in bath towels. The girls helped Liu Yunfei take off his outer robe and led him to the inner room to wash up. Feifei and Yingchun switched the camera to the bathroom, where Liu Yunfei was seen with two girls on either side, his hands roaming over their vaginas and breasts while kissing them. Other girls were washing his body, and one was even using her tongue to clean his penis.
Jinfeng and Shuangrong took the opportunity to look at the list of girls and said, "Today, two pairs of trainee stewards are in charge, but only four eunuchs and two ordinary maids are confirmed to have slept with the master. The candidates are also ordinary maids." Feifei asked without turning her head, "Is there a difference?" Shuangrong said, "If they do a good job, they'll have a chance to be promoted quickly. If they don't do a good job, they'll probably have little chance."
Inside, Liu Yunfei had already come out of the bathroom, and the girl beside him had changed. He had touched all the dozen or so girls around him, and several girls took turns sucking his penis. The other girls were moaning lewdly and telling dirty stories and jokes, making the people listening outside blush. Liu Yunfei's penis was erect. A maid handed him a condom, but Liu Yunfei shook his head, indicating that he didn't need it. Shuangrong shook her head outside, "It seems these girls haven't completely won over the master's heart yet."
Liu Yunfei lay reclining on the bed, supported by two naked women behind him. The girl kneeling beside him constantly adjusted her position to facilitate Liu Yunfei's caresses of her various parts. One of the girls Liu Yunfei designated sat on him, inserting his penis into her vagina. After a brief period of pain and adjustment, the girl began to move vigorously. Liu Yunfei only moved his body slightly, half-closing his eyes as he enjoyed the sensation.
Feifei watched for a while and asked Jinfeng, "Why is Master like this? He looks like a prop. I saw in the video, the other people's positions and movements were so great." Jinfeng chuckled, "Those masters all know how to do it. Look at men, they can do this whenever they want, and they can make the girls cooperate however they want. What can't they learn? But with Master's age and stamina, how can he still do that kind of exercise?" Yingchun said, "Then he prepared several girls. What hope is there for the ones who come later?" Shuangrong said, "Don't underestimate Master. He doesn't have much stamina left, but that guy is a veteran. It's not easy to make him ejaculate easily."
Sure enough, the girl quickly went limp, while Liu Yunfei's "divine weapon" remained erect. After going through all six girls, Liu Yunfei pointed to two more girls. When these two girls were also finished, Liu Yunfei began to make his move. He selected a pair from the previous six girls, stacked them on top of each other on the bed, and Liu Yunfei began to move, thrusting a few times from the top, then switching to the bottom and thrusting a few times.
Soon, with a wave of his hand, the surrounding maids wrapped two ribbons around the necks of the two girls and gradually tightened them. Jin Feng whispered to Ying Chun and Fei Fei, "During the suffocation process, their lower bodies will clench tighter, making it more comfortable for the man. How did they come up with this?"
As the two girls' legs involuntarily kicked, Liu Yunfei reached his climax, ejaculating inside one of the girls. Liu Yunfei paused for a few dozen seconds before withdrawing. The maids tightened the ribbons around the girls' necks completely and carried them out. In reality, they were probably already dead.
The two girls, or rather, their corpses, were quickly carried to a nearby hut. Jin Feng and the others followed. Several maids quickly cut open the two girls' abdomens, removing their vaginas and uteruses. They opened them up, washed out the semen, placed it in a special solution, and sent it for freezing. The two corpses were immediately sent to a nearby kitchen for processing, as they were inedible if not processed within fifteen minutes of death.
Everything was finished, and the corpses were taken away in just five minutes. The girl on duty came over to greet Jinfeng and the others. Jinfeng asked, "How's the semen quality today?" The girl replied, "I don't have much experience. Judging from the test strip, it should be normal, slightly above average." Jinfeng smiled at Feifei and Yingchun, "This is probably thanks to you two peeking." She continued to the girl on duty, "Then quickly take it and keep it safe. The staff from the Social Development Department will be coming to collect the semen in a couple of days." The girl on duty said, "Sister, do you want to pick out a couple of pieces from those two bodies over there?" Shuangrong said, "You guys know how to flatter people. Forget it, we don't need it. If the master doesn't need it, you can take a pair of ovaries and kidneys for Feifei and the others to try. They haven't had much before, and they're both virgins. As for the rest, we can reward you who are on night duty tonight, as per the rules. You don't often get this kind of opportunity."
When Jin Feng and the others returned to Liu Yunfei's room, the maids had already dried him off. Yingchun whispered to them, "Master barely moved for an hour and a half, only moving for less than ten minutes at the end. How could there be so much water?" Shuangrong reached under her skirt and touched him, saying, "Silly sister, that's not all Master's sweat. You were so distracted just now, but Feifei saw everything clearly."
Inside the room, Liu Yunfei called out, "What are you whispering about there? Are you gossiping about me again? Come in, all of you." Jin Feng and the others went in and chatted with Liu Yunfei for a while. Liu Yunfei's gaze lingered on Feifei and Yingchun. Qi Feifei and Yue Yingchun felt hotter than ever before, not even when they served Master naked. Liu Yunfei understood, so he told the maids to speed up the cleaning and let them go home early.
The six maids, who had just experienced intimacy, came out of the bathroom after washing and knelt before Liu Yunfei. The other girls who had been serving him stopped and stood behind him. Liu Yunfei touched their bodies a few more times, then pointed to a pair of girls and said, "You two will nourish the master; the rest of you can go back and rest." The other girls acknowledged and left, while another group of girls entered from outside. The two kneeling girls kowtowed to Liu Yunfei, awaiting his orders. Liu Yunfei said, "Bring me cucumber salad with shredded uterus, boiled pork (take some meat from the spine and lower back), and braised phoenix claws (remember to braise the palms and fingers separately, and serve them on a separate plate. That's all. I'm getting old, and my appetite isn't as good, so it's better to make it light. Bring it up with porridge tomorrow morning." The two girls thanked the master and were led out by the girl who had handled the corpse.
The maids who entered later helped Liu Yunfei to another bed, and several girls went to the bed, while the others scattered around. Jin Feng whispered to Fei Fei and the others, "Changing to a dry bed is easier than cleaning up the old one now. We can't let the master wait after he's finished exercising. These girls are here to keep him company tonight." Liu Yunfei said, "Stop whispering there, you're disturbing the master's sleep. I just need to pee a little more before I go to sleep." Shuang Rong said, "We'll leave once the master gets into bed."
One of the girls opened her mouth and caught Liu Yunfei's urine, then the other girls helped him to bed. Four girls lay naked beside Liu Yunfei. He adjusted his position, hugged one of the girls, held her breast, and began to sleep. The maids on the floor covered the person on the bed with blankets, then retreated to the walls, turned off the lights, and quietly sat down to keep watch.
Jin Feng and the others quietly withdrew and gave a few instructions in the monitoring room outside. The monitor's wavelength had switched from visible light to infrared. The group glanced at it one last time and left Liu Yunfei's bedroom.
