Purple Gate Assassin

    page views:1  Publication date:2023-03-24
A figure moved swiftly in the darkness, his movements incredibly agile. But another figure chasing him was equally fast, always maintaining a three-step distance, as if deliberately creating this gap.

Suddenly, the first figure stopped abruptly, and the one behind him followed suit.

Guan Shaoan, dressed in a black outfit, suddenly turned and glared coldly at the latter. "Have you got nothing better to do?"
His harsh tone seemed to have no effect on Quinn. Waster saw Quinn smiling.

He thought of Quinn. Waster had seen countless cold-blooded individuals within "Junmen," especially recently, while serving "Cold-Faced Leopard" Qi Ya, where he had endured countless instances of indifference. Therefore, he was used to Guan Shaoan's cold tone and didn't take it seriously at all.

Quinn realized that Guan Shaoan was beginning to feel displeased.

Ever since the first day Qi Ya and the others returned to Taipei, he had been keeping an eye on Guan Shaoan—a person who piqued his interest—to pass the time.

Actually, he didn't know what was wrong with him. Perhaps it was because he had spent so much time with cold-blooded people that he naturally wanted to understand their world. And Guan Shaoan's aloof demeanor, for some reason, caught his eye. So when he discovered Guan Shaoan's habit of wandering around at night, he stuck with him.

Initially, he just followed him out of curiosity; but when he discovered Guan Shaoan's extraordinary skills and that he was definitely a master, he became interested. His skills convinced him that Guan Shaoan was definitely a former assassin, and a top-tier one at that.

Was he afraid?

No kidding, that was exactly what interested him. The more challenging someone was, the more he wanted to befriend them. Seeing Guan Shaoan's unwillingness to even shake him off only made him more determined. Think about it, a local police officer who was also an assassin—wasn't that intriguing?

Especially with Guan Shaoan's mysterious past, Quinn was even less able to resist.

"No way! Following you is a big deal," he replied casually.

He didn't seem to care at all about Guan Shaoan's cold words. If looks could kill, he would have died hundreds of times over.

Guan Shaoan didn't know why he didn't attack this man. In the past, he would have already done so; but he didn't. The only reason he could find was that he was a policeman.

Soon, at the end of the month, he would leave this place because there was no longer any reason for him to stay.

But, for some reason, this seemingly innocent man in front of him was disturbing his calm and hardened heart.

Quinn? Waster was a medical genius. His behavior was extremely eccentric. He had his own research lab and staff, but he didn't run a hospital. He just traveled around doing short-term contract doctors, treating patients according to his own preferences.
His rule for treating patients was that he would only see fifty people a year. All fifty people would recover under his superb medical skills, regardless of their status. He wouldn't treat anyone who came seeking treatment, no matter how great the favor or how much money offered.

His travels were always unpredictable, constantly wandering.

He had a very deep friendship with Jun Kuixing, the head of the Junmen, because their families were old friends and both were involved in the underworld. The difference was that the Waster family had a large influence in America, while the Junmen's sphere of influence was in Taiwan.
He didn't like taking over the family business, preferring to wander, so the Waster family was currently managed by his eldest brother. He and his brother had a very deep bond. Although Quinn loved to wander, he owned a beautiful and completely independent city called "Qi City."

When Guan Shaoan learned of this place, he really wanted to visit Qi City. Perhaps he would go and see it after leaving here.

"Boring." Guan Shaoan decided not to pay any more attention to him. He had already wasted too much time on him and didn't want to have any further interaction with him. Based on the information and his intuition, this man was definitely not simple.

Seeing Guan Shaoan turn and run off again, Quinn immediately followed. "Hey! Wait for me!"

After running for a while, neither of them was sweating or even panting, demonstrating their exceptional skills.

Guan Shaoan suddenly stopped, and Quinn stopped as well.

As Guan Shaoan cautiously surveyed the quiet streets, Quinn suddenly grabbed him from behind and pulled him into a side alley.

"Shh! Someone's there."

Guan Shaoan, who had initially intended to teach him a lesson, relaxed slightly in Quinn's arms after hearing a sound not far behind him.

"I see them."

The two then fell silent, watching as three or four women dressed in purple quickly walked past the side of the street.
Soon after, Guan Shaoan nimbly darted out of Quinn's arms and, without a word, prepared to leave.

"They're looking for you."

Quinn's words only made Guan Shaoan pause slightly before continuing on his way.

Quinn didn't give up, still following behind him. "Don't you want to know why I did this? Want to guess?"

"No." He said without turning his head.

"That's really disrespectful. We're friends, after all." He didn't care at all about Guan Shaoan's lack of appreciation.

Unexpectedly, Guan Shaoan stopped because of his words, turned around, and stared at him sharply.
"Who said we're friends?"

"Hey! Why are you being so fierce? Hey, stop it..." Quinn quickly shifted his position, dodging Guan Shaoan's sudden attack. "What are you doing? This is too hurtful." Quinn said, defusing his attacks.

"Who's talking about feelings with you? If you don't want to die, get lost!"

His sharp hand aimed at his eyes, and Quinn quickly shrank back.

"You're serious, huh?" Quinn's smile suddenly brightened, and his movements became more agile, dodging with ease and casualness as he sparred with him.

Quinn knew Guan Shaoan wouldn't hurt him, and although his attacks became fiercer, his strength was still less than 30%. "Alright, stop this. This is boring. If we're friends, let's not play around anymore."

Unexpectedly, Guan Shaoan's attitude changed abruptly upon hearing this, and his strength increased considerably, aiming straight for Quinn's chest. When Quinn lightly patted his chest, the attack was neutralized by his internal force.

"You..."

Guan Shaoan was somewhat surprised by Quinn's skill and technique. He knew from the beginning that Quinn was not a simple person, assuming that Quinn and Qi Ya's skills were roughly equal, but now, he didn't think so.

"Are you deliberately hiding your skills?" Guan Shaoan said, increasing his strength even more.

Quinn's smile widened, easily dodging his attack.

"No! I can only say you don't truly understand me. Ya and the others all know how skilled I am."
"Are you smug?" Guan Shaoan suddenly found the smile on his face irritating.

"No! After meeting you, I can't be smug at all." He glanced at him meaningfully several times.
Guan Shaoan's expression changed slightly upon hearing this. "What do you know?"

"You think I know what I know?" He said deliberately, his eyes maliciously scrutinizing Guan Shaoan.

Guan Shaoan felt that the way the man was looking at him seemed to know something, or was he scheming something? This man was unfathomable, making him feel extremely uneasy. This was the first time he had felt this way.

"I'm not going to say anything more to you. Don't bother me again."

He suddenly stopped, leaping about ten meters away. After giving him a wary look, his figure quickly disappeared from his sight.

Guan Shaoan took off his clothes and stood under the showerhead, letting the water wash over his body. His long, silvery-white hair clung to his back, wet and slippery.

He closed his eyes, tilting his head back, enjoying the water wetting his face, and also wetting his memories.

His body trembled. He should have realized Quinn's other identity sooner. No wonder he always found Quinn's smile so piercing and irritating.

He had been investigating Quinn's true identity, neglecting his other, more terrifying identity—"The Laughing Doctor."

He should have realized it sooner! The Laughing Doctor, a mysterious man whose smile became more and more captivating.

When his smile became increasingly eerie and sinister towards someone, that person would regret ever meeting him.

His smile was dazzling, yet chilling, sending shivers down one's spine as if plunging into a hellish abyss. This was his signature move, used only when he was about to strike unexpectedly. No one knew the true extent of his skill, for he had never smiled with the radiant brilliance of the rising sun. Why? It was said

that he hadn't yet encountered an opponent who could truly challenge him. Even tonight, he had only managed a slight smile, its brightness barely reaching thirty percent. He hadn't even made a move yet, merely on guard. It was said that the

Laughing Doctor's smile had levels: a shallow smile, a slight smile, then the brightness and depth of the smile, a loud laugh, and a maniacal laugh. So far, he hadn't even laughed loudly or maniacally!

And it was best to pray that he didn't laugh at all, otherwise, it would be an unbearable laugh, one that no one dared to witness! This clearly demonstrated his hidden depths.

Perhaps my own skills weren't too bad compared to his, but I certainly wouldn't have a significant advantage. Cheap? He never liked messing with these kinds of people, and he figured they'd never cross paths anyway.

After turning off the tap, he wrapped himself in a towel and stepped out of the bathroom. He thought of the three women in purple on the street, and his brows furrowed. It seemed they were looking for him; Quinn was right about that.
Just how much did that guy know? That wasn't the point. The point was, now that they were here, it meant he couldn't stay any longer. He was supposed to stay until the end of the month, but it seemed he had to leave first.
He quickly changed into clean clothes, still dressed in black, tied his long hair back, packed everything into a duffel bag, and then opened the door and stepped into the night.

The moment he stepped onto the street, Guan Shaoan realized he was being watched. It seemed these three women they sent were no ordinary people.

He only considered for three seconds before turning to face them, his cold eyes stopping them in their tracks. "Go back and tell her I'm not going back,"

the woman in the middle said. "Purple Eyes, Master said she's given you a whole year, hoping you'll go back voluntarily."

Guan Shaoan just sneered. "Go back? Don't forget, I've already left the organization. She has no right to order me around."
The three women in purple exchanged glances, and the woman in the middle spoke again: "Master's orders must not be disobeyed!"

Just as the three of them were about to make a move, Guan Shaoan laughed arrogantly, causing them to suddenly stop and their eyes to become wary.

"What are you laughing at?" the three asked in unison.

"Trying to deal with me? Don't forget, her position is something I disdain, which is why she got it. Do you think you can beat me?" His icy gaze fixed on them.

The three were startled, but then exchanged glances of resignation. "We don't need to win, just kill you. Attack!" The three of them moved in unison, fiercely attacking Guan Shaoan, and even targeting his old wounds.
Guan Shaoan's limp was due to an old injury, and they foolishly thought it was his only weakness.
Less than ten minutes into the exchange, all three were severely wounded, while Guan Shaoan remained unscathed. He merely chuckled and turned to leave.

Suddenly, several faint, almost inaudible whooshing sounds came from behind him, which he easily dodged. Then came a shower of fine needles, which he also easily avoided.

Three knives followed. He frowned, "How annoying!" He gripped the three knives and deflected them at the three women, killing them instantly.

Looking back, he realized they had died from a single blow? That wasn't what alarmed her, but rather the signs of poisoning on their faces after the knives pierced their bodies—their skin turning purple, a unique and potent poison of the "Purple Gate."

He quickly gathered his qi, feeling his blood rushing upwards. Suppressing the surge of blood in his chest, he opened his palm and saw that the two fingers he had been gripping were contaminated with poison, turning his entire hand purplish-red. Startled, he quickly bound his arm with a cloth.

He ran rapidly towards the mountains, knowing only Quinn could save him. If he didn't want to die, this secret had to be revealed to him.

After taking a bath, Quinn stayed in his study, reading documents detailing the Junmen organization's structure. He was still feeling nauseous; he hadn't expected that outrageous Qi Ya would entrust all of this to him.

If it weren't for his friendship with Jun Kuixing, he would have left long ago. Actually, there was another crucial reason he stayed: Guan Shaoan.

That guy had initially piqued his interest greatly, making him almost believe he only loved men, not women. However, after discovering the secret, although he wasn't entirely certain and hadn't had the chance to confirm it, he trusted his intuition, and thus felt increasingly certain he hadn't guessed wrong.

No one had ever captured his full attention and interest like this before, which was why he was willing to linger here. Anyway, he was just putting on an act; he could leave the miscellaneous matters to the wind, fire, thunder, lightning, rain, and clouds.

If Qi Ya was sensible enough to leave his six excellent subordinates behind, he could escape safely even if the situation changed.

He stood up, went to the window, and looked at the deep night. Suddenly, his gaze sharpened; he sensed something unusual outside. He immediately opened the window and nimbly jumped down to the windowsill.

A figure appeared before him like a gust of wind. Quinn cautiously took a step back. Seeing Guan Shaoan's face as pale as snow and his body stiff with coldness, he realized something was wrong. Just as he was about to reach out, Guan Shaoan's entire body fell straight towards him.

Quinn held him tightly, quickly leading him to his bedroom. Seeing his complexion and expression, he knew he had been poisoned, and with a highly potent and difficult-to-treat poison at that.

When he placed Guan Shaoan on the bed, he had already fallen unconscious. Quinn quickly scanned the area, noticing the poisoned hand. Without hesitation, he grabbed his medical bag and used a knife to cut open Guan Shaoan's finger, letting the poisoned blood flow.

After a while, Quinn suddenly cursed, managing to stop the bleeding. But it was useless! He untied the cloth binding Guan Shaoan's arms and used the knife to pry open his clothes. When the shirt opened, he saw Guan Shaoan's snow-white shoulders and chest wrapped in a thick layer of white cloth.

Quinn smiled faintly. It seemed his guess was correct; Guan Shaoan was indeed a woman, and the name Guan Shaoan was merely an alias. But at this moment, that wasn't the most important thing.

He was an authority in the medical field and also quite knowledgeable about poisons. The kind of poison she had been given, with its purplish-red color, was truly rare. It didn't mean he hadn't seen it before, but he hoped his guess was wrong.

At this moment, Guan Shaoan suddenly regained her senses for a moment, "This is... the unique... Purple Clay Poison of the Purple Sect, the only antidote... is..." As she spoke, large beads of sweat appeared on her forehead, and her lips turned purplish-red.

Quinn stopped her from continuing.

"I knew it. Okay, no need to say more, I know how to untie it."

In a daze, Guan Shaoan said, "I know, so... hurry up and untie it, you... do you want me to die!"
Quinn looked at her angry face with fascination. "You're almost dead, and you're still like this? So fierce?" Quinn muttered, not understanding where she had the strength to order him around, but the most important thing was to save her life.

Seeing her weakly glaring at him, he simply looked down at her. "I have no choice, to save her, I have to offend you. But, don't hate me after you get better!"

Guan Shaoan concentrated her strength and pulled him above her body. "Stop talking nonsense!"

"Don't rush, even if you're going to save my life, you have to let me enjoy it a little." As soon as Quinn finished speaking, he immediately used the knife in his hand to cut open the white cloth covering her chest, and her two round and full breasts were immediately presented before his eyes.
Quinn looked at her unfocused eyes, knowing that she was too weak to continue? He went down; hastily and roughly stripped off all her clothes, pulled down his own pants, and spread her legs… His enormous member penetrated her, breaking through the hymen that symbolized her virginity in one fell swoop. The intense pain? It didn't make her scream, because it was all buried in his mouth covering her lips.

Quinn? He didn't want to enter her like this without any pleasure or preparation, but to keep her from dying, this was the only way. He deeply possessed her lips, determined to distract her from the pain of their union with a kiss.

One of his large hands held her waist, while the other hand haphazardly caressed her body until she was ready, at which point he began to slowly thrust in

and out of her. He never changed his slow pace, especially after knowing that this was her first time. About thirty minutes later, Quinn discovered that the venom flowing through her body had been diluted by the intercourse between the man and woman.
At this moment, Guan Shaoan fainted again, a little color returning to his pale face. Only then did he feel at ease continuing his rhythmic movements on her body, quickly ending their union.

He had never imagined that his first time with her would begin and end in this way.

He couldn't help but smile bitterly; perhaps it was because of this that they could begin anew in another way!
Now, Quinn was almost certain that Guan Shaoan was an assassin from the Purple Gate, and a top-tier assassin at that.

Only the Purple Gate's unique poison had this antidote of male-female intercourse. However, it was only effective against female assassins from the Purple Gate; ordinary people would certainly die if poisoned by it.

He had heard Chief Jun mention it before, and had also encountered members of the Purple Gate during his travels. The Purple Gate was entirely composed of women, a group of women no one wanted to provoke. They were all cold-blooded, ruthless, and extremely skilled. In their organization, all kinds of training were mandatory and specialized; those who excelled could be ranked among the top ten assassins of the Purple Gate.

He just didn't know Guan Shaoan's exact ranking among the assassins. The top three had a chance to become the leader of the Purple Gate, and only the leader possessed the poison, used to deal with those who betrayed the Purple Gate. Every woman in the Purple Gate was a virgin; to cure her, she would lose her purity and her internal energy cultivation, becoming an ordinary person.

As for the man who had relations with her, he must have martial arts skills comparable to hers; otherwise, they might not be able to cure the poison and would both die. This was why Guan Shaoan had sought her out—their martial arts skills were indeed comparable, and he was even superior, though he didn't want to admit it.

It seemed she had offended the leader of the Purple Gate, and they were determined to kill her. Now that she had lost all her internal energy cultivation, he had to protect her safety. The people of the Purple Gate would never give up until they achieved their goal.

This place was not safe to stay long; once the poison was completely cured, he would take her to Qi City.

Stroking her smooth skin, he smiled, a smile full of meaning. The lingering poison in her body hadn't been cleared; she could relax. He planned to sleep first, and then, once she woke up, he would demand a proper reward, ensuring they both enjoyed pleasure.

Chapter Two:

In the car, Guan Shaoan remained silent, her face tightly furrowed. No matter how Quinn tried to tease her, she ignored him.

What angered her most was that they all believed Quinn's words. She had only said he was crazy, and everyone glared at her with murderous intent—it was utterly outrageous.

Quinn stretched out his arm and forcefully pulled her onto his lap. "Alright, don't be angry. If I didn't do this, how could you possibly come with me?"

"Now I realize you're a despicable, lewd, shameless, and thick-skinned man," she said through gritted teeth, her face still radiating anger.

"You can't blame me for this. Hey, you were the one who ran away first, and I didn't even hold it against you. Why are you more petty than me?" A woman is a woman. Although she likes to dress like a man, her personality, sigh! She's still as petty as a woman.

Guan Shaoan grabbed his collar and glared at him fiercely. "Put me down right now, or I'll teach you a lesson."

"Teach me a lesson? No need, right? I consider myself handsome. You want to teach me a lesson? Then I'd be too handsome for anyone else. You might as well save some for someone else." His reply ignited Guan Shaoan's fury. His purple eyes almost spit fire.

"Quinn? Waster, if you say another word of nonsense, I'll make sure you're childless." She threatened him through gritted teeth.

"Isn't that bad? It doesn't matter if I'm childless, but it might not be good for your happiness! What if you go and cheat on me? I think you should think of another way for our future happiness."

He completely ignored her anger and even looked at her bright purple eyes with admiration, making Guan Shaoan so angry she almost vomited blood.

"You..." She

lost to him verbally, but she could at least hit him to vent her anger, right? Just as her fist was about to hit his chest, his hand had already easily covered her small hand, and he lowered his head to kiss her red lips.

"Do you know? When you're angry, your purple eyes seem to shine with a beautiful light, making me want to kiss you again."

She raised her head to refute him, but his lips had already landed, covering her lips tightly without any gap. That intoxicating feeling washed over her again, and she sighed softly before surrendering to his passionate kiss.

She realized she was utterly helpless against such a shameless man. She had never encountered such a forceful opponent, yet he appeared so harmless.

He had truly disturbed her heart, which had remained calm for twenty-three years. She wanted to escape, yet she couldn't bear to leave this warm embrace. In his arms, she felt a warmth she had never experienced before; the cold was gone.

So be it! She would only stay until tonight at most anyway, and even if he wanted to, he couldn't. After all, in this city, only the possessor could make her stay. And she wouldn't accept it? He had that power.

Sensing the softening of the woman in his arms, his previously stormy kisses began to subside and become gentle. He ran his tongue over her sensual lips, then lightly licked her inner lips, opened his mouth, and began to suckle on her full lower lip.

"Mmm...you taste so sweet..." he whispered, his lips brushing against hers.

He extended his tongue and gently licked her earlobe, his large hands exploring her full breasts and private parts... "Mmm..." she could only lean weakly against him, letting him tease and provoke her... After a long while, he finally stood up and held her in his arms. The scent of their lovemaking lingered between them, making him want to bury himself in her again.

But he suppressed his desire, knowing the car was nearing his place and he didn't want to embarrass her with any awkwardness. So he took a deep breath and pressed her against his chest.

His large hands gently stroked her long hair, which had been bound but was now flowing freely and alluringly.
"Your hair is so beautiful and unique, I absolutely love it." He couldn't help but lower his head, burying his face in her silvery-white hair, inhaling its fragrant scent.

Guan Shaoan, exhausted from his intense desire, could only lie wearily in his arms, letting him caress her; her strength was waning. Soon, she fell into a deep sleep in his arms, warmed by his body heat and a sense of security she had never felt before.

She didn't see the deep love and pampering in Quinn's eyes, nor the smile on his face, nor did she see that when the car arrived at Quinn's place, it was Quinn who carried her, still asleep, all the way to his bedroom.

When Guan Shaoan woke up again, she found herself in a strange yet luxurious and comfortable room.

She sat up, clutching the blanket, knowing she was completely naked. Judging from her earlier scan of the surroundings, her clothes were nowhere to be seen, so she clutched the blanket tightly to avoid any accidental exposure.

She frowned, remembering Quinn's repulsive smile, realizing this must be his place. She never imagined he was also a resident of Qi City, and a very wealthy one at that.

If she had known he was here, she wouldn't have come.

She glanced at her watch; it was already five in the afternoon. She had slept since noon.

In all these years, she had never felt this tired, nor had she ever slept during the day.

Suddenly, a sound startled her, and she looked towards the doorway. The culprit who had made her so tired was staring at her with a smile she found repulsive.

She instinctively clutched the blanket tighter, her expression cold and distant, her eyes wary. She didn't let her guard down; this was her survival strategy honed over many years. Whether in the Purple Gate or anywhere else, facing anyone, she had to maintain a high level of combat readiness and a sense of crisis.

The only person who could make her lower her guard was An Qi, and since she had a man to take care of her, there was naturally no one else she could let her guard down with. She

stared coldly at him, even at the man she had shared an intimate relationship with.
Looking at him, she had to admit he was indeed an outstanding man; she also had to admit she felt a special flutter in her heart for him, but these feelings could only remain hidden in her heart.

To fully reveal one's thoughts and feelings to someone is tantamount to actively exposing one's weaknesses; it not only makes one feel insecure but also more vulnerable to hurt. This was a result of her childhood training and the lesson she learned from that woman.

She would never repeat the same mistake, and she would never allow herself to be hurt again, she told herself firmly.
But why? Seeing the man's sexy smile and the aura he exuded, she felt a flutter in her heart?

This wasn't the first time. She believed that as long as she stayed by his side, it wouldn't be the last.
Years of survival instinct and a sense of crisis had warned her that this man was definitely dangerous, and she was so deeply entangled with him.

Thinking of this, her expression grew even colder, and her brows furrowed even more unconsciously.
Watching him approach, she suddenly said coldly, "Give me back my clothes."

Quinn, as always, showed no reaction to her cold attitude, as if she were speaking softly to him. He selectively answered her words, ignoring what he didn't want to hear.

His movements were incredibly fast; in a flash, he was sitting beside her, pulling her into his arms.
"Awake? Are you hungry? Should I have someone bring you something to eat?"

This was infuriating! Why? This man was always like this, ignoring her coldness and rejection?

She gently pushed him away, "I'm not hungry! Are you deaf? I said, I want my clothes." She couldn't help but growl.

Realizing she was throwing a tantrum at him again, she cursed inwardly. Her usually proud composure and coldness were all ruined by him; it was always the same, whenever she encountered him, she was the loser.

She was starting to feel resentful. Why? Why did fate have to let her meet this scoundrel and rogue?
Quinn smiled at her, but the smugness was hidden in his heart.

He knew her every reaction. Although she always used her indifference as a protective shield, the more he was with her, the more he understood the other side of her, the yearning for warmth within her.

Such a peculiar woman, using her other gender as a protective shield, simply didn't want others to hurt her.

Holding her, looking deeply into the depths of her eyes, he could sense her fear. Especially since she was a top assassin of the Purple Gate, during the three months they were separated, he used his influence and family connections to uncover much about this mysterious organization.

Perhaps for ordinary people, investigating the Purple Gate would be incredibly difficult. But with the power of the Huaster family, a small organization like the Purple Gate, though mysterious, was still beneath their notice. Therefore, he quickly obtained a great deal of information, which made him understand the treatment the woman in his arms had suffered. Thus, it wasn't hard to understand her coldness.

The more he learned about her upbringing, the more he felt sorry for her. He felt deep pity and heartache for her, both regarding her background and her upbringing. He knew she didn't understand now, but he would teach her soon.

He chuckled, ignoring her struggles, and forcefully pulled her onto his lap. "What do you need your clothes for? I think you look quite alluring like this!"

Staring at him fiercely, Guan Shaoan uttered icy words: "Do you believe I'll kill you?!"
Quinn paid no heed to her threat, merely lifting her hair and playing with it meticulously, seemingly suddenly developing a great interest in it. "Sigh! Of course I believe you. After all, your writhing on me is enough to kill every cell in my body." "

You man, besides thinking about this, don't you have anything else to think about?"

He let her repeatedly hurl insults at him, his usually cold personality completely gone.

Quinn pressed himself even closer to her, feigning thought, "Hmm... let me think..." before flashing a childlike, adorable smile and answering her in a sweet voice, "No! I find that when I touch you, the only thing that comes to mind is this. Nothing else seems to register!" He then deliberately moved his large hands restlessly over her body. Guan

Shaoan suppressed her anger, her facial muscles twitching as she suppressed the urge to tear him to pieces. She said in an extremely calm yet frightening tone, "Oh! You really know how to act cute."
"Yeah, yeah, you think I'm cute like this too, don't you?" He continued his banter, oblivious to the danger, "Then all this effort of acting cute isn't in vain. Sigh! I didn't want to, but I can't help it. I'm just cute, just handsome, even I can't control myself!"

Good heavens! This man is truly the most shameless person in the world, actually praising himself like that! Has she really seen something new?

She found his smile incredibly irritating and angrily launched into another tirade: "Seriously! Don't you know how old you are? Still acting cute like this! People will throw up if they see you like this! Get out of here!"

Chapter Three:

Since she couldn't move Quinn, Guan Shaoan had no choice but to use her two-finger magic to forcefully pinch his smiling cheek, silencing his smile. Who could blame her for this despicable man, trying to make her usually proud self-control crumble before her eyes?

Quinn immediately cried out in pain, pulling her hand away. "Help! It hurts so much! How could you be so cruel as to pinch my adorable face? If your husband is harmed in any way, it will jeopardize your happiness!"

"What? Husband? You shameless bastard! I won't admit it! And what does your face have to do with my happiness?" Seeing him cry out in pain, for some reason, a pang of heartache welled up in her heart. What was going on? Could it be that she'd really fallen for this scoundrel?

She quickly shook her head. No! She wasn't going to invite trouble. He was already clinging to her even with her cold attitude; if she really fell for him, and he found out her feelings, would she have any chance of redemption?

Quinn caught the fleeting glint in her eyes and immediately chuckled, placing her small hand on his cheek. "Fine, blow on it for me, and I'll forgive you."

"Who…who wants to help you!"

she stubbornly protested, but her hands automatically began to caress his cheek, causing her a slight unease.

Quinn noticed her movement and a calculating glint appeared in his eyes, followed by an innocent smile.
"Michelle, look at you, playing around with me so easily, isn't it enjoyable? Always wearing that long face, it's tiring."

Her hand on his cheek suddenly froze, and her wide, surprised eyes met his gaze.

"You...how did you know...know my name?" Her voice turned icy cold, and her hand, which she was about to pull back, was firmly gripped by him.

"Of course I looked it up! Otherwise, how do you think I knew? You were too stingy to tell me, so I had no choice but to resort to this!" Ignoring the increasingly chilling and terrifying expression on her face, he continued, "I originally wanted to wait until you were willing to tell me, but after I discovered that you had such an intimate relationship with me, and then you hid yourself so well, I told myself that I really didn't like not knowing anything, especially about you, so I..."

"So, you took it upon yourself to find out everything about me?"

Her words were completely devoid of life, unlike mere indifference, as if her soul and all her thoughts had retreated into a world he could never see into.

He didn't like this.

She could do this with others, but he would never allow it with him!

"Little Xue'er, I don't care what kind of person you were before, or what happened to you."

He was unwilling to say it, because he was waiting for her to tell him. The first thing he wanted to teach her was to learn to trust him.

Quinn continued, "The only thing I'm interested in is you as a person, and what I want to understand is your heart. So, I'll wait for you here, waiting for you to tell me what kind of past made you who you are. It's okay if you don't want to say it now, but..."

His eyes suddenly blazed with intense fire, staring straight at her two mounds of jade breasts, feeling his entire lust ignited by her. His hands quickly reached to her two round breasts, kneading them forcefully. "I just want you to stay by my side, that's enough."

His usually serious tone drew her attention to him. Strange, wasn't the topic supposed to be serious? How come? In the blink of an eye, he revealed his true nature again.

She quickly looked down and realized that her hands, which had been tightly gripping the sheet, had slipped down to her waist because he had pressed them against his cheek. This left her bare, white upper body completely exposed to him, especially her two round breasts, which were gradually hardening under his gaze… As she tried to pull the sheet up, his hands quickly seized the opportunity, kneading her breasts, and his lips kissed her earlobe.

As if knowing what she wanted to protest, he immediately whispered in her ear, “Shh! Don’t think about anything now, just feel the wonderful sensations I’m about to give you.”

He then covered her lips with his, and as she opened her mouth, he slipped his tongue into her mouth, sucking on her sweetness, while his hands continued to knead and caress her breasts.
He even pressed and rotated his thumbs on her nipples, making them even more erect.
He could understand her feelings, and he could comprehend her inner thoughts; he couldn't bear the things she had gone through, and his heart ached for her.

He was willing to wait, until the day she would tell him.

Her reaction when he revealed her real name—that complete withdrawal and self-isolation—was something he disliked, something he hated about her treating him that way.

She might be able to act this way with others, but not with him! The first thing he needed to teach her now was to trust him.

He had been powerless to change things before; but from now on, he would find a way to keep her by his side, never allowing her to leave again, and he could guarantee she would never suffer any harm. He was absolutely confident in that.

The loneliness in her eyes, like a lone wolf, gripped his heart; the solitude and desolation emanating from her body only strengthened his resolve to protect her.

Now was not the time to ask her questions, and of course, he would never tell her how much he knew. All he wanted to do now was love her well, to make her understand that she was someone important in this world. She wasn't lonely or isolated; she had someone to lean on, someone who made her feel warm and safe. Her

once-frozen heart seemed to gradually melt under his warmth. She could control everything, but she couldn't stop the powerlessness she felt every time he touched or kissed her. Nestled in his warm, safe embrace, through his body heat, she felt alive, still breathing.

She had tried many ways, but in his kisses and in his arms, she found the only thing that made her feel alive, the thing she had searched for so long.

Those things she had yearned for but were cruelly taken away, she found so easily in him. She was not only surprised, but also saddened.

Because she truly didn't know if she could really get what she desired deepest in this unfathomable man. Years of doubt had kept her heart closed, but her body had its own conscious choice.

At this moment, she didn't want to think about anything, she just wanted to follow her emotions and indulge herself this once! Her already wounded heart didn't care about being hurt again, because she was truly exhausted, too tired to fight any longer.

With a soft moan, her arms wrapped around his neck, pressing closer to his body.

Sensing her change, Quinn didn't point it out, but simply accepted her submission with delight, working even harder to create wave after wave of pleasure on her body.

With a thrust, he entered her, slowly withdrawing, then slowly entering again, the ecstatic expression on the woman beneath him making his blood boil even more. He placed her long, beautiful legs on his shoulders, allowing his engorged member to penetrate even deeper into her secret passage.

She could only helplessly let him intensify her pleasure, allowing him to lead her into a paradise of joy.

He took her again and again, until they both fell asleep from exhaustion, still deeply buried in her warm passage, unwilling to leave even slightly.

Michelle woke up earlier than Quinn. When she moved, her eyes widened suddenly, discovering that the hard object inside her had reacted, swelling with her movements. She was so frightened she dared not move. After a while, she turned to look at him. Her

eyes fell upon his face, relaxed in sleep, like that of a large, innocent child. She carefully shifted her position several times before finally leaving his embrace. Standing by the bed, seeing his semi-erect male symbol, she couldn't help but blush and turn her head away.

However, she couldn't suppress her curiosity and turned back to stare at it. The long, thick male desire was still quite a sight even in sleep; as she scrutinized it, she noticed it changed, becoming increasingly erect and full, as if reacting strongly to her gaze.

She was startled and quickly looked away at his face, finding him still breathing evenly and soundly asleep. She breathed a sigh of relief.

She told herself not to think about it anymore, turned and went into the bathroom, determined to take a relaxing bath before leaving.

She stopped at the bathroom door, involuntarily gasping. This bathroom was truly luxurious.
Directly in front of her was a square jacuzzi, next to which sat a thick white towel on a tiled shelf, and crystal containers filled with small, colorful bath sponges.

Behind a glass door to the right was a spacious shower stall with light red tiles on the floor, and to the left was a private area with the toilet.

To her left was a full-length mirror and a washbasin.

Suddenly, a gentle, large hand moved silently over her hip, startling her. She turned around and saw Quinn grinning at her.

"What? Aren't you going in? Weren't you going to take a bath?"

"You…you weren't you sleeping?" she asked in surprise.

"Who says you can't wake up when you're asleep? Hey, how could I sleep without you here? So I got up!" He placed his hand on her hip, urging her to go into the bathroom.

But she remained unmoved, only glaring coldly at him. "Don't keep pushing me. I'm going to take a shower, that's true. Listen carefully, I'm alone, and that doesn't include you." She pointed at him fiercely

with one hand. Quinn just smiled indifferently, ignoring her finger, and used his strength to push her into the shower.

Michelle, unwillingly pushed, tried to stop him, but when she turned around, she found herself facing a naked man.

She gasped, staring intently at him. His strong, lean muscles made her forget all protests; his masculine desire was raging towards her, and she could only stare helplessly at it.

Quinn reached for the tap, his soapy hands roaming over her body, igniting a burning desire within her. His large hands covered her full breasts, teasing her already hardened nipples; the soap only made her skin feel smoother. His

other hand moved down, caressing and touching between her legs, sending heat through her body.

He freed one hand to direct the showerhead towards them, rinsing away the soap. He thrust powerfully inside her, and she cried out in pleasure, clinging tightly to his shoulders.

Soon, she reached orgasm, writhing in his arms, her tightness enveloping his erection, making him thrust even faster, savoring the pleasure of being held so tightly within her.

She heard his low growl, and then his enormous member exploded inside her. With violent spasms within her, he released his burning seed, filling the depths of her core… The immense pleasure and the intensity and passion of their lovemaking left her almost unable to stand afterward, collapsing into his arms. He supported her while drying them both.

He felt his own arousal return, making him want to possess her again.

He scooped her up and placed her on the bed, spending a long time kissing every inch of her skin.
Then, he used his tongue instead of his fingers, moving in and out of her wet, hot passage. She cried out in ecstasy from her orgasm; he immediately thrust deeper, penetrating her completely.

She shook her head incessantly, realizing that Quinn could so easily ignite all the passion hidden within her, which began to frighten her; yet this unprecedented, exquisite sensation made her succumb again and again.

Her reason and her body seemed to have their own agendas, completely disrupting her peace of mind.

As soon as he finished speaking, his throbbing male desire inside her suddenly thrust even harder into her, his fingers following suit. Under his masterful lovemaking, she reached an indescribable climax before releasing inside her…

Chapter Four:

After the passion subsided, Quinn still lingered, caressing Michelle's snow-white, delicate naked body. Just looking at her and touching her stirred all his desires once more.

At this moment, Michelle, having regained some strength, suddenly spoke: "It's getting dark. I need to leave quickly."

Hearing this, Quinn stared at her wide-eyed. "Leave? Are you kidding me? You're already my woman, and you're already thinking about leaving me? Do you think you can escape last time and now you want to run away again?"
Michelle shook her head. "Of course not! It's just that even if I wanted to stay this time, it's impossible."

"Why?" The gentle smile that had been on his face vanished, replaced by a narrowed gaze.

"Because I've been in this city for three months." Seeing his blank expression, she continued, "You're a resident here, you should know the city's rules, right?"

Only then did Quinn realize what she meant by three months. Of course he knew; he was the one who made the rules, how could he not know? His gentle smile returned, his restless hands still caressing her body.

"That's easy to solve. You don't need to worry at all. As long as I say I'll let you stay, you can stay."

Michelle scoffed at him. "Come on, although you're a resident here, and it's obvious you have some money; but what power do you think you have? The founder here doesn't show any mercy, unless you're Quinn Waste himself… uh…"

She hesitated, then suddenly her eyes widened. She remembered! Why? She hadn't thought of that before?
His name was the same as the owner of this strange city!

She hadn't realized it herself. Since he had such a luxurious mansion to live in, it was obvious he was the owner of Qi City. If she hadn't been preoccupied and overly wary of his presence, she would have figured it out long ago.

Seeing the smug expression on his face, she couldn't help but sigh softly. Why? Why did she have to hide in his territory when she could have gone anywhere else? She had even vowed to escape him! Man proposes, God disposes.

Her expression remained as cold as ever, but her eyes revealed frustration.

"Alright, stop thinking about it. Just stay here obediently. Otherwise, with your current skills, you might not be a match for him."

She sneered. "Looks like you know quite a lot."

"Not at all. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't bother with other people's affairs."

Was he implying that it was her honor? Go away! Did he think she cared?

His hand played with her breasts, making her turn over unhappily, refusing to let him touch them again.

But she was only focused on what was in front, forgetting the danger behind. Her alluring posture on the bed only fueled his lust. A warm, large hand caressed her round, white buttocks, his wet, aroused hand pressing against her thigh, causing her to tremble slightly.

She didn't want to explore her own feelings; she only wanted to please him again.

So, her hands worked even harder, teasing his erection, feeling it throb with life in her palms, burning her hands. Without thinking, she imitated his teasing of her lower body, opening her lips to take his erection inside.

Their lovemaking continued relentlessly until night fell and dawn broke, only then did he contentedly embrace Michelle, who had long since fallen into a deep sleep and was completely at his mercy.

Even in her slumber, Michelle couldn't help but admire his extraordinary stamina.

Quinn went to his office early in the morning to handle official business, and he didn't rest at all that morning. As soon as he finished, he couldn't wait to return to the bedroom to find Michelle.

When he arrived, he found Michelle with her eyes closed, regulating her inner energy, while the purple gauze dress he had specially ordered was still lying untouched in a corner of the bed. Quinn couldn't help but frown slightly and strode towards her. "Why? Why didn't you change into the clothes I picked out for you?"
His question made Michelle slowly open her eyes. "I don't want to change."

Quinn picked up the dress and looked at her. "Why? Don't you like it?"

"I only need this. I don't need anything else." A bitter look flashed in her eyes.
Quinn stared at her thoughtfully for a long time before speaking, "Are you worried about that scar?" Seeing that she didn't speak, Quinn tried to persuade her, "You don't need to worry about that at all. The skirt of this dress is ankle-length, so you can't see the scar on your knee at all."

His words made Michelle frown. She said to him in a cold tone, "I said I don't want to wear it, and I don't want to wear it. Don't bother me here. Take that dress and get out of my sight."

Her words were cold and ruthless, but there was a hint of pain in her tone, which the perceptive Quinn immediately noticed.

He put down the dress and squatted down in front of her. "Little Xue'er, tell me, how did you get that injury on your knee?"

She tried to push him away forcefully. "Why should I tell you? Who are you to me? I have no obligation to tell you." She questioned him harshly, her voice filled with anger at his persistent questioning.

In this world, no one cared about her or paid attention to her; all she had was her self-respect and herself. Why wouldn't he let her keep those? If she lost even that, what would she have left? Why wouldn't he leave her a way out?

Quinn wasn't angry at her intense reaction. He simply pulled her into a tight, tender embrace.

"Little Xue'er, it's okay. You can trust me. I promise I won't hurt you. I'm on your side. I know you're angry, you're sad; but I still want you to tell me what happened. I want to know everything about you."

The incredible tenderness in his voice shocked her, leaving her frozen in his arms. She couldn't believe his tenderness could affect her so much; the only thing protecting her was her usual cold demeanor.

"Ha!" she laughed coldly and mockingly. "Trust you? What makes you think you can trust me? What makes you think I'll be angry or sad? Which eye of yours saw that? As long as you don't bother me, I'm perfectly happy."
He remained unmoved, simply lifting her chin with one hand, forcing her eyes to meet his sincere and honest gaze. "Little Xue'er, it's because in this world, I'm the only one who cares about you the most, the one who loves you the most. So, do you think I have the right to ask you that? Just because I love you, isn't that enough?"

"You…" Looking into his honest and sincere eyes, she was speechless.

Her heart was deeply shaken; she couldn't believe he would so easily express his love for her. She also couldn't believe that a man would say he loved her. What was going on?

She stared at him, her eyes wide. "Say it again. I want you to repeat what you just said."

Her gaze was fixed on him, as if to ascertain whether he dared to say it again.

Quinn simply smiled, not thinking there was anything wrong with saying it again. Love was love, and he had nothing to be afraid of.

This had always been his attitude towards relationships; he would never easily express his love unless it was a woman he truly loved. But once he had made up his mind, he would never change it, even if he had to say it a hundred times.

"Xiao Xue'er, I love you. From the first moment I saw you, I've had a strange feeling for you." Seeing the doubt in her eyes, he remained firm, saying, "Even if I thought you were a man, my feelings for you wouldn't have changed. Besides, you're a woman now; don't doubt my love for you, and don't think I'm saying I love you just because we slept together, otherwise, wouldn't I love women all over the world?"
He passionately kissed her astonished lips. "I can assure you, my love for you is love, and it will last a lifetime. I don't care what your answer is, or whether you accept it or not, I will never let you leave me, until death do us part."

After he finished speaking firmly, he looked at her and found that she seemed still unable to recover from the shock of his love for her.
He couldn't help but stand up, pull her onto his lap, and sit on the edge of the bed, quietly waiting for her response.

After a long while, Michelle spoke softly, her words filled with intense inferiority and confusion.

"I don't understand. Why do you love me?"

"That's why I fell in love with you. Don't ask me what I love about you. It's a very subtle feeling, an intense emotion I can't even explain myself. It's what makes me want to understand you better, to understand what kind of lonely soul lies beneath your cold exterior. That soul makes my heart ache, and makes me reluctant to let go. Do you understand?"

As soon as he finished speaking, Michelle stiffened, her face turning deathly pale, looking at him with fear. This man knew too much, and saw too much of her hidden depths. This made her panic and fear. She didn't want him to look at her so intently; she didn't want to be hurt anymore.

"Shh, nothing will happen. Little Xue'er, don't you understand? I love you, so how could I possibly hurt you? There's one thing I need to emphasize: no matter what you've been through in the past, no matter what hurt you've suffered, my love for you includes the past, present, and future you—it's simply you as a person; whether you're called Ziyan, Guan Shaoan, or Michelle, as long as you are you, I will love you and care for you. I want you to know that in this world, there is someone who cares for you and loves you. You are not alone, do you understand?"
She was completely speechless, with no words to refute him; she just sat there in his arms, letting his affectionate words overwhelm her entire being, her whole heart. Apart from those words, she felt nothing else, as if all her sadness, pain, and loneliness had vanished, her heart filled to the brim with those words. The

ice that had icy coldness in her heart for years was strangely replaced by the deep affection and warmth represented by those words, as if a heart... It dripped onto the back of her hand, burning her skin, and only then did she realize that she had actually spilled some.

She raised the back of her hand to look at the drop of water, then blankly touched her cheek, only to realize she was crying. For years, she hadn't shed a single tear. After that incident when she was eight, she stopped crying. Emotional fluctuations, laughter and tears, were utterly tedious and cowardly to her. Therefore, she had always been indifferent and averse to genuine expressions of emotion in others.
But she never imagined that she would shed tears today because of his words, and be so deeply moved.

From birth until now, no one had ever said such things to her.

And now, the person who said these words to her was the only man in her life with whom she had ever been intimate, and the one who had the greatest impact on her soul.

How could she bear it? How could she refuse?

Her heart cried out with joy to accept him, but her reason told her to wait.

Quinn knew her heart had subtly changed; it seemed his love for her... It wasn't that she was worthless. It was just that her upbringing had taught her to be cautious and suspicious. He believed that as long as he slowly won her over little by little each day, she would eventually reciprocate.

He had patience; as long as she didn't run away, he was confident she would be his.

Michelle stroked his cheek, dazed, and softly asked, "Should I believe you?"

Her question made Quince realize her heart was wavering, and he couldn't help but reveal a captivating smile. "Give me time, and I can prove to you that my love is not just empty words. The more you understand me, the more you'll realize that any word I speak will never change or deceive."

Looking steadily into his unwavering eyes, at this moment, Michelle suddenly wanted to believe him. But how could years of guardedness be erased in such a short time? So, she...? She didn't answer him, just looked at him quietly.

Quinn didn't press her; he simply picked up the purple gauze dress and handed it to her. "Little Michelle, promise me you'll change into this dress, okay?"

He looked at her with affection, his voice almost dripping with tenderness. "Just to make me happy this once?"

Michelle didn't refuse, but she didn't immediately take it either. She hesitated for a while before slowly accepting it. A smile immediately appeared on Quinn's face.

"Hurry up and change. I'll wait for you outside. We'll have dinner together later. Don't worry, it'll just be the two of us." As soon as he finished speaking, he quickly walked out, afraid she would change her mind again.

Michelle looked at the dress in her hands, rubbing it, feeling so comfortable. A longing was forming in her heart. Especially, she really hoped for the look of appreciation on Quinn's face when he saw her wearing different clothes. That would make her so happy, a feeling of wanting to please him faintly emerged.

This feeling of wanting to please him far outweighed her inferiority and self-pity. Before she could change her mind, Michelle quickly changed into the dress. She didn't have the courage to look at herself in the mirror, and immediately turned to open the door.

Quinn, hearing the door open, immediately turned to look at her. He saw her in the purple gauze dress, which perfectly complemented her purple eyes, making her look incredibly beautiful and captivating. He stepped forward and loosened the hair tie, letting her strange, silvery-white hair cascade down, brushing her shoulders and draping over her back, creating a stunningly beautiful sight.

"Little Michelle, you look so beautiful, so beautiful."

This? Her ethereal beauty, coupled with the aloofness between her brows, made her like an ice queen, making him want to possess her again. Watching her transform from cold to passionate under his touch, a change solely for him, the thought made him feel a burning heat throughout his body.

He pulled her into his arms. "You look so delicious, I almost want to devour you whole. But, for your sake, I'll take you downstairs to eat first!"

Seeing her almost unbelievably delighted by his compliment, he felt a pang of heartache. "Haven't you ever seen yourself looking this charming before?"

Unexpectedly, Michelle slowly shook her head, a hint of nervousness in her eyes. "I don't want to look, and I'm afraid to look."

He stared at her in surprise. "Why?"

Michelle simply turned her head away uncomfortably, avoiding his gaze. "I'm afraid I'll look very strange and out of place in this."

"Out of place!" He repeated her words, his gaze as if she were uttering something utterly unbelievable.

"Yes." She still refused to look at him, but the slight upturn of her lips held a bitter, helpless smile. "I'm only suited to dressing as a man; I'd look awful in women's clothes."

Before she could finish speaking, Quinn immediately pushed her into the bedroom without a word, stopping only in front of the dressing mirror. He turned her face towards the mirror, wanting her to look at herself, but she insisted on keeping her gaze fixed on the carpet, refusing to look up.

Quinn wrapped his arms tightly around her from behind, whispering seductively in her ear, "Little Xue'er, didn't I tell you to trust me? Don't you believe me?"

"It's not that I don't believe you, it's just that I..." She realized for the first time that she had the same habit as other women—twisting her fingers when nervous, immediately releasing them upon realizing it.

Quinn quickly interrupted her, forcefully turning her head towards the mirror, insisting she look at her reflection. "Look at you, you're truly beautiful. So full of femininity and womanhood. If you don't consider yourself a woman, then I don't know if there are any women left in this world."

His words, though exaggerated, still touched her heart.

Her eyes widened in disbelief as she looked at the unfamiliar image in the mirror. "Is that woman...is that really me?" she stammered.

The mirror reflected a woman with flowing hair, mysterious purple eyes, a delicate nose, and sensual red lips. Her long, flowing purple dress perfectly accentuated her curves; her high breasts, slender waist, and full hips all showcased a captivating beauty.

Quinn chuckled and hugged her tighter. "Of course it's you! Didn't I tell you? Now you believe I wasn't lying, right?"

At this moment, Michelle smiled for the first time in her memory, nodding shyly at him, her face suddenly flushing red, making her even more charming and alluring.

Her rare smile almost stopped Quinn's heart. Such a charming and captivating beauty belonged to him alone. Thinking of this, his heart filled with pride and satisfaction, and he instinctively tightened his embrace. "Little Michelle, you know what? You should smile more. Your smile is so beautiful, so beautiful, it makes my heart flutter."

At this moment, Michelle, unusually showing her coquettish side, gently pushed him away. "You're so sweet. But, I'm hungry." After his scrutiny, she suddenly felt that she truly was as beautiful as he described, so she radiated a confident beauty, a smile playing on her lips.

Her radiant smile made Quinn unable to resist showering her lips with passionate kisses until they were both breathless. They finally separated, panting. Michelle felt her legs were almost too weak to stand from his fervent kisses; if his arms hadn't held her tightly, she would have collapsed to the ground.

Quinn simply smiled at her condition. "Come on! Let's go eat first, and then we can properly enjoy this dessert."

"What?! So, in your heart, I'm just a dessert! You said you loved me, but it was all just to flatter me." She coquettishly and unconsciously acted spoiled towards him.

Quinn was secretly delighted by her change. It seemed his declaration of love had a significant impact on her, and he regretted his bold declaration even more. "Of course I wasn't flattering you. Don't you know I never eat dessert? For you, my one and only dessert, this is the only time I've broken my rule, and I'll never do it again. Don't you think that's special?"

"You mean, besides me, there won't be any other desserts, not even 'wild food'?" she asked tentatively.

Quinn laughed heartily. "I can assure you, not only will there be no 'wild food,' but there won't be any others either. Only you. You little jealous devil!" It seemed he had not only moved her but also captured her heart.
