Chapter 254 Ten Statues

Due to the narrowness of the cave, Fei Xianghan, who had originally intended to protect Cen Zhu by his side, had no choice but to have her stay behind him.

He reminded Cen Zhu to activate her protective spiritual energy, and then, without waiting for her reply, he took out a

ninth-grade and slapped it onto Cen Zhu's body.

The demonic cultivators around Fei Xianghan, though inwardly disapproving, dared not show any outward expression. Many of

them knew how much effort their lord had put into finding Cen Zhu. Although the veil protecting her from divine sense prevented

them from seeing her face, her graceful figure made it easy to imagine she was a stunning beauty.

However, beauties were so common in the cultivation world; they truly didn't understand why their lord treated this female cultivator so differently

. It should be known that the effects of a ninth-grade earth talisman were immense, even capable of withstanding attacks from mid-Nascent Soul cultivators.

Yet their lord had so easily slapped a ninth-grade talisman onto Cen Zhu.

That talisman costs a whopping ten thousand mid-grade spirit stones!

Moreover, talismans are only for one-time use; with just a light tap, ten thousand mid-grade spirit stones

flew away.

They were all filled with envy and jealousy! They wished they were also stunning beauties, able to so easily

gain their lord 's protection.

In the eyes of the demonic cultivators, Fei Xianghan was practically a god.

And this number one ruler of the demonic cultivators had actually traveled thousands of miles to chase after a beauty here—how could this not be incredibly surprising!

Just as the demonic cultivators were secretly congratulating themselves on their good fortune, after walking for a quarter of an hour through the narrow passage,

they arrived at an empty room that could hold a hundred people.

Inside the room, besides ten statues, there was nothing else.

"There must be something strange here."

"We've come all this way, and it's just an empty room? This is too strange."

Fei Xianghan narrowed his eyes, extending his divine sense towards the outside of the room, only to find that it seemed to be under some kind of

restriction , which even with his seventh-level Nascent Soul cultivation, he couldn't penetrate.

He silently walked to the statues, and saw that although there were ten statues, they all depicted the same person. Some sat, some stood,

some lay down, some prone—various postures, yet all of them depicted the same man.

Seeing the others pondering, Cen Zhu also fixed her gaze on the statues.

A strange sense of familiarity welled up from the depths of her heart, making her want to approach the statues and see his

true face .

The ten statues were also enchanted; the cultivators knew he was a man, but couldn't even make out his

appearance .

Cultivators possess strong senses, especially eyesight, but even standing before the statues, they couldn't see his face, indicating that

some kind of enchantment, some ancient one, must be present within them.

Cen Zhu was unaware of the others' thoughts; she only felt the man's appearance slowly becoming clearer in her eyes. His features

were almost otherworldly, his face exquisitely handsome, with slightly upturned eyes that seemed both affectionate and mocking, both distant and

intimate—a contradictory combination that seemed perfectly harmonious on his godlike face.

It was their first time seeing each other, a completely unfamiliar face, yet where did this

strange come from?

Could it be a past life encounter?

But Cen Zhu had been in this world for five or six years, her past life long forgotten. Sometimes she even

wondered if she was dreaming, and that so-called past life was merely a dream from a certain day.

Who was he? This familiar feeling couldn't lie. A surge of unfamiliar emotions welled up inside her. In this fairyland cave, who was this statue, and what was their relationship? Why was there a heartbreaking pain

within that vague sense of familiarity ? Debt, guilt, heartache. The longer she stared at the devilishly handsome face on the statue, the more her heart ached. In a daze, the face in the statue seemed to smile at her. Cen Zhu was bewildered. She looked around and noticed that Fei Xianghan and the others were still quietly studying their surroundings, not noticing anything unusual about the statue. Cen Zhu blinked. Could it be her eyes playing tricks on her? She channeled her spiritual energy into her eyes, and upon closer inspection, the handsome, almost demonic man's smile deepened. Cen Zhu was terrified; could it be another illusion?! "You've come… my love…" a clear, gentle voice came from beside her. "Who's speaking?" Cen Zhu asked, startled. Seeing Cen Zhu's bewildered expression, Fei Xianghan asked with slight surprise, "What's wrong? No one spoke just now." "No one could hear me except you." Although Cen Zhu's doubts deepened, she maintained a calm facade, not wanting Fei Xianghan to notice anything amiss. She tried to communicate telepathically with the statue, "Is that you?" She didn't know where this strange voice came from, yet the current situation was so peculiar. "Are you human, ghost, or immortal?" "Once you receive my inheritance, you will understand everything." "Inheritance? Receive it here?" Before Cen Zhu's question could be answered, the room began to change. The spacious room, which could have held a hundred people, suddenly had walls rising from the ground. This change happened in an instant . Fei Xianghan, who had been standing very close to her, was now completely separated from the demonic cultivators by the walls that appeared out of thin air . "Damn it!!" Seeing the walls suddenly rise, Fei Xianghan swung his right hand, unleashing a wind blade that slashed . Even though he had controlled the force to avoid harming Cen Zhu behind the wall, he was surprised that the earthen wall remained unmoved. No! He had gone through so much trouble to bring Cen Zhu back to his side, waited so long, searched so long—how could he let this damned wall obstruct him! No one, no object, nothing could stop them. He would kill gods and demons alike! Cen Zhu was his, and no one could take her away. "Black Wind Break! Go!" He intensified his demonic energy circulation, unleashing countless black wind blades carrying immense force, relentlessly pounding against the earthen wall. "Bang!" "Bang!"... After countless attacks, he finally managed to destroy the wall separating Cen Zhu and himself. But the spot where Cen Zhu had stood was now empty. "Cen Zhu—" Fei Xianghan shouted, his usually sexy and magnetic voice now tinged with obvious panic. In another part of the empty room, Cen Zhu sat cross-legged, his face contorted in pain.

A flash of purple light, and a cold ray shot into Cen Zhu's body, followed by intense pain and a searing

heat, the pain spreading endlessly, her head feeling like it was about to explode.

"Bear with it." The man's gentle voice accompanied the cold ray as it entered her body. Cen Zhu had no time to consider

whether this was the man's so-called "inheritance"; she only felt like she was about to self-destruct at any moment. Pain, damn pain,

pain that made her want to curse!!

She didn't know the pain level of childbirth, but she deeply felt that this near-torture pain must

surpass the pain of childbirth, right?!

Okay, she admitted she was half-mad at this point; who else could have

such ? But she was actually trying to distract herself, not letting herself focus on

the pain that was constantly tearing her apart.

As time passed, Cen Zhu felt the pain gradually subside.

She didn't know how much time had passed, nor what had happened to the others in the room. When she regained her senses,

the large room was completely empty.
