Part One: Volume Five,

Chapter One: The situation with the Serpent Clan

was extremely dire. Even with my frantic scheming and planning, I was utterly helpless against the current predicament. I was never a hero on the battlefield, and now, forced into battle and required to achieve something worthy of everyone's approval, these harsh conditions left me only with a bitter, inward resentment.

Tactics and schemes only work when there is ample time and preparation. Without any preparation and insufficient resources, one can only rely on personal wit and reflexes to turn the tide. Unfortunately, on the battlefield, wit often cannot overcome brute force, which is why I hate going to war.

However, I had no choice. If I couldn't achieve anything in the battle, Ah Xue, imprisoned in the Skywar Song Tower City, would be at the mercy of the Feather Clan. Given her crime of destroying the sacred Great Sun Mirror, even if she didn't pay with her life, she would inevitably suffer severe disability for the rest of her life.

Speaking of which, I should thank those orcs. If the Zoroastrians hadn't attacked at this critical juncture, Ah Xue might already be facing a severe sentence with no chance of redemption. However, when it comes to how to repel these "benefactors," my chaotic mind is completely blank.

Since the orcs lack the ability to fly, the only route to attack Skeva's City is by land.

Currently, the only attack route is the western mountain pass, where the Feathered Clan deliberately blasted down the mountain walls, leaving only a narrow path that the main army cannot pass through. The Feathered Clan has concentrated their defensive forces here, setting up several lines of defense under the command of their chieftain, Katrina. Using flexible and adaptable tactics, they have sniped at the orcish coalition attempting to attack the lines, inflicting heavy losses on the enemy since the start of the battle—a truly remarkable achievement.

This success is due not only to maximizing the use of terrain but also to the strength of the troops. On this narrow path, the main army cannot deploy, and the outcome depends solely on the few at the forefront. The Feathered Clan, led by Fang Qingshu and the Neon sisters, with Katrina assisting from the side, were truly a formidable force, their single-handedly holding off thousands. The orcish assault teams were repeatedly annihilated by them, their impressive string of victories boosting the morale of the city's inhabitants.

I might be a pessimist, but I was at least clear-headed enough to know that the Feathered Clan's superior numbers were largely due to the fact that the Fire Worship Cult's experts hadn't yet assembled. Given the Fire Worship Cult's dominance over the Southern Barbarians, their ranks were filled with powerful figures. If they could simply send level five or higher experts or beastmen to entangle Fang Qingshu and Neon, the rest of the forces could seize the opportunity to break through their defenses.

Of course, Katrina's basic strategy wasn't wrong either. If her plan were followed, before the Fire Worship Cult's forces were fully assembled, the Great Sun Mirror would have stored enough energy. Once Skeva City took to the skies, even a massive orcish army wouldn't be able to inflict any damage on the Feathered Clan. Therefore, there's no need to worry about the enemy bringing in a large number of experts to besiege them.

However, now that the Great Sun Mirror is severely damaged, the plan to escape from the air has fallen through. The Feathered Clan will inevitably have to bear the consequences of a direct confrontation. At that time, the fully assembled Orcish coalition will gain an absolute advantage, and no matter how high Fang Qingshu and Neon's martial arts skills are, they will be powerless to stop this situation from happening.

"How is the situation? What are the casualties among the sisters?"

While rushing to the front line, Katrina inquired about the retreating Feathered Clan female warriors. At the western mountain pass, the Feathered Clan had set up five lines of defense. In the past, because of Fang Qingshu and Neon's bravery and skill in battle, the Orcish assault team was slaughtered before even reaching the first line of defense. This time, because of the major incident in the city, morale was low, and the Orcish assault team successfully launched a surprise attack. The first and second lines of defense were breached in the blink of an eye, and the third line of defense also fell after a brief stalemate. Now they are holding the fourth line of defense, confronting the Orcs with all their might.

"Strange, how could the enemy have timed it so perfectly? If they hadn't attacked at this critical juncture, the defenses wouldn't have been breached so easily..."

This awkward question inevitably surfaced again on the way to the defenses. Although the enemy was still being held back outside the defenses, preventing them from directly storming the city, the strategic advantage of the terrain had been lost, making future defenses much more difficult. For the already small Feathered Clan, every loss of life was an irreparable blow.

"Who knows? Maybe there was a traitor who infiltrated and leaked the information. Otherwise, how would those orcs know?"

"The Feathered Clan sisters wouldn't have traitors or spies. If there's anything suspicious, it must be the outsiders."

Even among the Winged People, when faced with danger, people's hearts are often more fragile than imagined, giving rise to suspicion and distrust. It's understandable that they suspect the outsiders are the source of the secret, but at this moment, the female warriors certainly wouldn't suspect Fang Qingshu and Ni Hong. Their suspicious gazes were all focused on me. If I didn't make a move later, they might turn on me on the spot and make Ah Xue and me suffer the same fate, dying together.

Damn it, they're underestimating us! Ah Xue and I have no obligation to the Feather Clan. We're only here to help because of Sister Dragon Girl's request. If we really anger them, I'll just turn against them and secretly stab the Feather Clan. When they're defeated and the city falls, I'll take Ah Xue and escape with us. That's also an option.

(But then we'll have to consider the attitude of the Fire Worship Cult. If they also want to kill me, helping them would be pointless...)

The Feather Clan female warriors were talking loudly and without any politeness, naturally not noticing the complex thoughts beneath my calm expression. Just as they were getting more and more outrageous, and the atmosphere among the crowd was about to explode, a peaceful voice brought everyone back to silence.

"Stop talking nonsense. With a formidable enemy at our doorstep, are we going to waste our time fighting amongst ourselves?"

This was nothing special, just common-sense advice, but because of the speaker's status, it carried weight beyond words. The one with that authority was none other than Fang Qingshu. As soon as he finished speaking, silence fell around him. Without another word, he pushed off with his feet, leaving everyone behind and heading towards the fourth line of defense.

Clearly, Fang Qingshu had anticipated the situation . This situation had unfolded, so he slowed down, first calming everyone's emotions to prevent a split, before rushing to the rescue. His comprehensive approach was admirable, showcasing the noble young man's competence.

Once the potential division was suppressed, Fang Qingshu leaped with incredible speed, quickly reaching the battlefront. We, far behind him, could only see dust billowing in the distance, sword energy swirling, and blood and green sap spraying into the air – proof of the wounds inflicted on the orcs and demons. It was clear that Fang Qingshu was displaying his divine might, single-handedly turning the tide.

"We can't let Senior Brother Fang get lost, let's go too."

Yu Ni winked at Yu Hong, and the two sisters quickened their pace, using their lightness skills and the wind generated by their wings to leave us behind. They arrived at the defensive line immediately, and the sounds of battle erupted. Blood and green fluid gushed out like a fountain. To the surrounding winged female warriors, this was more effective than any words of encouragement.

As proud disciples of the Palace of Light, their combined strength was indeed extraordinary. When we finally arrived, the winged female warriors guarding the area had already reinforced the defensive line with the help of Fang Qingshu and Yu Hong. The invading orcs had been driven back, and the surrounding fortifications were in ruins, covered with sword and blade marks, claw marks, and bright red bloodstains, telling the story of the fierce battle that had just taken place.

Overwhelmed by the three's divine power, the orcs dared not provoke them any further and retreated to the third defensive line half a mile away, where they defended themselves against the wall.

"How's it going? Our reinforcements have arrived. Should we go down and charge again to turn the tide? Senior brother? Sister?"

Yu Hong looked eager to try, and most of the female warriors around her shared the same expression, just waiting for the order to press their advantage and retake the defensive line.

"It's too dangerous. If we charge in like this now, our chances of winning aren't high. Who knows how many experts are lurking over there?"

With my own safety at stake, I had to speak up despite everyone's disapproving looks.

Yu Hong glared at me and said, "Although it's dangerous, I'm confident we won't lose to those evil orcs. Victory will surely be ours."

"Oh? What's the basis for your confidence?"

"Justice!"

Yu Hong said devoutly, her expression more like that of a martyr about to be burned at the stake than a valiant warrior.

"Evil cannot prevail over good. As the side of justice, we will surely receive divine help and will never lose to the evil orcs."

Seeing how serious this girl was, I completely gave up the desire to argue. If victory and defeat could be determined by good and evil factions, things in the world wouldn't be so complicated. At her age, she was spouting idiotic nonsense about being a messenger of justice like a mindless child. I truly felt sorry for the villains who had fallen into the hands of these two sisters.

Judging from their expressions, even Fang Qingshu, who also came from the Palace of Light, was smiling bitterly, but the other female warriors seemed encouraged by these words and cheered loudly. Although Yu Ni remained noncommittal, she seemed to agree with her sister's idea, yet she still looked at Katrina and Fang Qingshu. After all, Katrina was the master of this place, and no one else had the authority to issue military orders. "

In my opinion," she said, "anyone rushing out at this time must be out of their mind. Battlefield warfare is different from江湖 (jianghu, a term referring to the martial arts world) feuds. The orcish army is indeed brave, but after breaking through three lines of defense, their momentum has waned. Fang Qingshu and his companions arrived then, and with the advantage of the terrain, they repelled the enemy, but they couldn't immediately capitalize on their victory and recapture the lines. This shows the enemy's strength is formidable and should not be underestimated.

Now they have a chance to regroup, their ranks are in high spirits, and with reinforcements arriving, their strength will only be greater than before. Attacking them at this moment, even if they win, will result in heavy casualties, which is definitely not worthwhile for the Feathered Clan, who cannot afford further losses."

When Katrina asked Fang Qingshu for his opinion, he shook his head and remained silent. Before making a decision, he asked first.

"Brother Lan, what do you think we should do in this situation? You once served as the head instructor of the Imperial Guards in Alibuda, so you should have some professional advice."

I was a little surprised that he asked so humbly, but now we were all in this together, and there was no point in hiding anything, so I repeated what I had been thinking.

"Brother Lan is truly remarkable. If it weren't for your reminder, I would have almost made a big mistake,"

Fang Qingshu said as if he had just realized something. Although his expression was very vivid, I could tell that he had already thought of everything I was going to say, and he was just deliberately giving me a chance to speak to elevate my status.

This made me very curious. I didn't understand why he was secretly helping me like this.

Was he trying to curry favor with me? That was unlikely.

Was he trying to ease the tense atmosphere? That made sense.

Could it be... that he wanted to save Xue?

Before I could come to a conclusion, the opposing camp had already made a move. First, there was a commotion in the ranks, and a faint fishy smell spread in the air, which immediately caused a stir among the Feather Clan members.

The smell was somewhat similar to the fishy stench we smelled when we were trapped in the venomous insect array. Could it be that the enemy was preparing to attack with a large number of poisonous snakes and insects?

"The Snake Clan! The Snake Clan has arrived."

"The fierce Snake Clan has entered the fray..."

The female warriors, who had displayed extraordinary courage in the fierce battles, now showed fear on their faces. Although I didn't understand the exact reason, I knew that the situation had changed and we had to be careful.

Snakes, leopards, bears, and tigers—among the four major beast clans that hold power in the Southern Barbarian lands, the Snake Clan is the most mysterious and the rarest to see. During the time Ah Xue and I wandered around the outskirts of the Southern Barbarian lands as merchants, we only heard some vague rumors about the Snake Clan from other merchants. After entering Youli, Mao Yan'an mentioned it briefly, but we had never seen the true face of the Snake Clan beastmen.

I heard that the Snake Clan's ecology is similar to that of the Feathered Clan, where everything is ruled by women. The males of the tribe are depicted as enormous snakes, their bodies structured much like ordinary snakes. The females, however, are far more beautiful, their upper bodies retaining a human form, and most are stunningly beautiful, contrasting with their serpentine lower bodies to create an eerily beautiful aesthetic.

Regardless, since it's none of my business, it's none of my business either. Although I am also a woman, given the choice, I wouldn't want to encounter such a beautiful woman with a human head and a snake's body, especially on the battlefield…

Besides, Mao Yan'an seemed to have said something about the snake tribe… snakes are lustful!

Half a mile away, the scene on the other side wasn't very clear, but the occasional mountain breeze carried the faint roars of wild beasts and the painful groans of women. Those unfamiliar with the situation might mistake these for the cries of the wounded, but to an experienced person like myself, how could I not understand what was happening?

(Oh no, this shock and anger have made me wonder if anyone here will still obey orders...)

As I worried, more and more winged female warriors realized what had happened. In the previous assault, some female warriors were seriously wounded, but not fatally, while others suffered limb injuries and were captured by the enemy. They were all in the enemy's hands, and now the orcs couldn't wait to "execute" these beautiful female warriors on the spot as a reward for the troops.

The army is a dark place, and we've not only done things like raping prisoners of war, but we also enjoy doing it. That would at least happen after the female prisoners of war were transported to their place of confinement. To ask me to do what these orcs did, to rape female prisoners of war in front of enemies and comrades on the battlefield—I simply couldn't bring myself to do it. However, the orcs' style was inherently rough and fierce; discussing shame with them was utterly pointless.

The intense sounds of the men and women's intercourse grew louder and louder. The opposing camp slowly dispersed to the side, and we could vaguely see a dozen or so exhausted and wounded winged female warriors, stripped naked, surrounded by the enemy ranks, enduring a storm of brutal torture.

"No… please let me go…"

"Help... Someone save us..."

The shrill cries were particularly piercing in the howling mountain wind, and as if deliberately meant to make us see clearly, the loose formation of the beastmen revealed the scene of the lewd gathering in the inner circle.

Because of their martial arts training and battles, the female warriors of the Feather Clan had strong and beautiful bodies with fair skin, especially their pair of long and beautiful legs, which had always been an alluring feature that made them highly coveted by the various beast tribes of the Southern Barbarians. However, because they lived deep in the mountains, they were hard to see, and their auction prices in the slave market remained high, so the various beast tribes could only covet them but could not take action.

But now that they finally had the chance, and could legitimately demoralize the enemy, the orcs were naturally ruthless. Without a second thought, they pulled off their triangular shorts, stripped the beautiful body before them, revealing the thick animal skirt between their hairy crotches, and began to brutally ravage her.

There weren't many prisoners, so most of the orcs were in groups of two or three, each taking turns with one woman. One would embrace the snow-white body, thrusting and pounding at will; another would spread her full, round buttocks, revealing a pink, folded opening, and, amidst the female warrior's pitiful cries, penetrate her thick animal skirt.

"It hurts, it hurts... Stop it..."

"You vicious orcs! I curse you all to a terrible death!"

No matter how loudly they cursed or howled in pleading, nothing could change anything. Trapped deep within the enemy ranks, they were now nothing more than beautiful flesh to be violated by the orcs, writhing and screaming under the violent rape. Their

front chambers were pierced by tiger penises, their anuses by leopard skirts, both sides squeezed full. Some female warriors even had other races' penises inserted into their mouths. I was quite curious about what it felt like to have multiple orc genitals used simultaneously, but judging from their shrill cries, it probably wasn't very enjoyable.

There were too many orcs, and not everyone could get a female prisoner. Those who couldn't get a turn could only reach out and fondle the female prisoners' full breasts and round, snowy buttocks, indulging in their lust, or, as if for fun, tearing handfuls of feathers from the female warriors' wings.

The wings of the winged race are sensitive areas where nerves intersect; being pulled and plucked like this felt a hundred times more painful than having your hair ripped out. The orcs, seizing this weakness, caused deafening screams of agony. We could only watch helplessly as this atrocity unfolded, completely powerless to stop it.

Frankly, I really wanted to say this atrocity was outrageous, but compared to hair, my lower body was truly hard and erect. I had no connection with the winged race to begin with, and because of Ah Xue, I had even less affection for them. What the orcs were doing, I had done before; empathetically speaking, I could actually sympathize with their actions.

In particular, watching those large, hairy hands roughly kneading her breasts, twisting and deforming her snow-white flesh under the dark beastly paws, filled me with an uncontrollable excitement at the sight of such violent and lewd acts.

Of course, I was probably the only one in this camp harboring such evil thoughts. The Feathered Clan and Neon were another story altogether, and even Fang Qingshu, the outsider, had a tense expression, clenched his fists, and repeatedly placed his hand on his sword hilt, only to forcibly move it away.

Neon demanded to fight, as did the other Feathered Clan female warriors. Faced with the crowd's outrage, Katrina seemed troubled. Having at least some military knowledge, she knew that while morale was high, charging into the well-defended enemy camp would only give the orcish allies, who had set traps, an opportunity to slaughter them, allowing the current scene to escalate.

In the end, it was only through Fang Qingshu's intervention that the crowd's grief and anger were calmed, and they awaited how the situation would unfold. It was merely a matter of suppression. In this situation, no matter how talented a general was, it was impossible to quell the boiling emotions of the crowd.

Having no right to speak, I was simply curious about Fang Qingshu's reaction. It seemed he had considered charging in alone to rescue them; with his superior martial arts, his chances of success were indeed higher than if everyone here charged together. However, considering the consequences of failure, there might not be many within the Feather Clan capable of calmly thinking and suppressing public opinion, forcing him to suppress his true intentions.

As Fang was pondering, the situation suddenly changed. It seemed that among the Feather Clan female warriors who had been raped, several heavily wounded, having barely gathered the necessary strength, used some suicidal attacks, throwing the enemy ranks into chaos. In the commotion, one female warrior even broke through the blockade and fled towards us.

"Ah..."

Exclamations naturally rang out. Those slower to react shouted "Go!" while those faster even sprinted out to try and bring back their sister who had escaped death. The formation was thrown into disarray. Katrina hurriedly tried to restrain her subordinates, but this order, which went against human nature, received little support. Even Katrina herself hesitated.

"Whoosh!"

The women's expectations were shattered by a strange whooshing sound. Without warning, a blur appeared before their eyes, and a thick, dark green snake tail flashed across the sky like lightning, coiling around the female warrior who was rushing towards them. Everything happened so fast; one moment we could clearly see the smile and hope on her face, and the next she was being pulled back.

The situation unfolded too rapidly. Moments later, exclamations and curses filled the air around me. Conversely, from the opposing camp, a long string of moans and groans flowed like a musical piece, rising and falling at a rapid tempo. These weren't cries of agony from those suffering torture, but rather the joyful moans of women experiencing intense pleasure, their desire surging.

(They must have some experts in the arts of the bedroom over there. The Bear Clan, Leopard Clan, and Tiger Clan are all rough and mindless; brute force alone couldn't have produced such an effect in such a short time. Could it be the Snake Clan?

There are at least hundreds of beast clans in the Southern Barbarians, and the beast clans participating in this attack by the Fire Worship Cult aren't just the four major clans. But the only one that came to mind was the Snake Clan, and they quickly proved me right.

"What is that?")

"They're snake-people demons!"

It was truly unbearable to see these strange women constantly shouting "demon" and "demoness," but the situation before them was undeniably eerie.

The enormous, dark green snake tail reappeared, seemingly as if to intimidate us, extending from the enemy camp. The winged female warrior who had failed to escape had her upper body bound by the snake tail, her long, beautiful legs spread wide against her will. The end of the snake tail was thrust straight into her vulva, performing a bizarre and lewd act.

The snake tail, a foot long, though greatly shrunken, was still the size of a fist. The pain of being forcibly inserted into her vulva like that was unimaginable, yet the female warrior's cheeks were flushed, and she rubbed her legs together in mid-air, her grayish-white saliva... Liquid flowed down her thighs, and her mouth uttered moans and groans like those of a wanton prostitute, completely immersed in the most pleasurable climax.

The bizarre scene distorted the original atmosphere of grief and indignation. The female warriors on this side were all stunned. Seeing their comrade being brutally violated in front of everyone should have filled them with rage and made them want to rush over, but a comrade with trembling, round buttocks shouting, "Harder! Push it in a little more!" made them exchange bewildered glances, their morale plummeting.

Even the most skillful intercourse couldn't be effective in such a short time; it must have been combined with some kind of aphrodisiac. But looking at the glistening slime on the snake's tail, perhaps the snake race itself could secrete aphrodisiac fluid.

"We can't just sit idly by!"

Her face flushed, Yu Hong's expression was serious. "Our comrade is suffering right before our eyes! Is it right to just stand here and watch, doing nothing? Are we still the righteous Feather Clan?"

"Oh? But your compatriot looks like he's about to faint from pleasure. If you disturb him now, he'll hate you for life."

Unable to bear it any longer, I couldn't help but speak sarcastically, though this was absolutely unwise. If Fang Qingshu hadn't intervened in time, Yu Ni's slap might have knocked out a few of my teeth.

The argument ended before the split could form. The female warrior, who had been violated by the snake-tailed demon and was experiencing a surge of orgasm, suddenly screamed. Her skin rapidly dried up, cracked, and her expression became extremely terrifying. Then, right before our eyes, she turned into a dried-up corpse.

This was naturally the consequence of being subjected to the Yin-Yang cultivation technique. According to the descriptions in the book of erotic magic, the truly superior cultivation technique involves absorbing the target's life essence, resulting in the target's final death being extreme aging, not the disintegration of a dried-up corpse like this. However, in the Southern Barbarian region, I didn't expect these orcs to know much about cultivation culture.

After a brief moment of shock, my comrades were filled with grief and indignation. Yu Ni and Yu Hong couldn't help but want to rush out, and even Katrina... Uncontrollable.

Fortunately, Fang Qingshu made a wise decision at this moment, though not a good idea, it was the "best" he could do at the time. "Where is the leader of the Fire Worship Cult? Fang Qingshu, disciple of the Cihang Jingdian, in the name of the glory of the strong, challenges you!"

He raised his voice and shouted, his voice echoing through the mountains, his imposing presence truly extraordinary. I knew Fang Qingshu had no other choice; only in this way could he suppress the Feather Clan's anger and prevent them from suffering greater losses in the melee. And with his divine skills, if the challenge succeeded... A successful challenge could indeed boost the already weakened morale of their own side.

The success rate of this challenge was nearly 90%, because the Southern Barbarians, who utterly worshipped martial prowess, would forever condemn any coward who fled without a fight. When a human expert like Fang Qingshu issued a provocation, any orc, based on national pride and the belief in the strong, would gladly accept the challenge.

Fang Qingshu's name was renowned far and wide, immediately causing a commotion within the opposing camp. Then, a rustling sound of scraping the ground was heard—the opposing leader had appeared.
