one of their own. He Tianbao was wounded in a firefight, and Wang Jingwei

, believing this to be a testament to his loyalty, took him as a trusted confidant. In March 1940, with no other options, Wang Jingwei accepted new and even more humiliating
conditions and became a traitor in Nanjing. He Tianbao and his siblings followed him.

At that time, the Japanese had more than just Wang Jingwei as a traitor. With Emperor Puyi in Manchukuo,
traitors in the five provinces of North China established the "Provisional Government of the Republic of China" after the Marco Polo Bridge Incident. Wang Jingwei accepted Manchukuo,
intending to "reclaim" North China. However, the traitors in Beiping (Beijing) considered themselves more senior than Wang and completely ignored Nanjing's orders.

within the Military Intelligence Bureau, she was his superior. Therefore, he went home to report to He Yuxiu formally first.

This train had no sleeper berths; the so-called first-class carriages were simply partitioned compartments. He Tianbao had reserved a private compartment,
but upon boarding, he found a middle-aged man with a mustache, upright posture, and a beaming smile already sitting in the carriage. He
was clearly Japanese; only a Japanese person could smile so arrogantly.

The train conductor appeared abruptly, bowing and scraping, saying many nice things. This was a guest added at the last minute,
and coincidentally, their compartment was the only one with two people in the entire carriage.
