Prologue:

Countless layers of spiritual light and mist appeared in the ethereal realm beyond the heavens, reaching directly to the Heavenly Court. This extraordinary phenomenon attracted
the attention of Laozi, who, after a quick calculation, revealed a knowing smile and rode a cloud towards that realm.

Within that ethereal realm, naturally formed mist permeated the air, within which a peaceful and tranquil aura
lingered. There, a graceful woman, with skin as white as snow, a delicate beauty like a maiden, and radiating spiritual energy, sat elegantly cross-legged on a high platform, her eyes closed. She was surrounded by blooming flowers, their fragrance filling the air, butterflies fluttering, and birds singing in unison —
a scene reminiscent of a paradise on earth. This place belongs neither to the Thirty-Six Heavens, nor to the three good realms of Heaven, Humanity, and Asura; nor to the three evil realms of Animals, Ghosts, and Hell . It is self-contained, nurtured by Heaven and Earth, its own master, born of its own nature, acting according to its own will. At this moment, Laozi descended gracefully . The woman's beautiful eyes snapped open, her gaze indifferent. "What brings you here again?" Her tone was so flat it conveyed no emotion. Laozi was unfazed by her cold reaction, still smiling as he spoke: "Immortal Ziwei, it 's only last met; your coldness and aloofness are hardly the way to treat a guest!" Immortal Ziwei completely ignored his teasing, for she hadn't forgotten how he had inexplicably appeared a hundred years ago, abandoning those five girls here before vanishing without a trace, leaving only the words "See you in a hundred years," leaving her no chance to utter a word. Therefore, when he reappeared, why would she give him such a fierce look? Moreover, she always kept her emotions hidden deep inside, never showing them outwardly. It was her habit; after being alone for a long time, she no had any emotional reactions. Who knew that this old man would give her five little troubles? Although some of these five little girls were quite understanding and adorable, adding a bit of liveliness to her life, she would rather give them up than have to endure the enormous . She didn't want to admit that over the past hundred years, she had developed feelings for these five girls, and was also reacting to the huge trouble that came with them , preventing her from having peace for a century; coupled with his elusive whereabouts, she was completely unprepared. His entanglement was so bothersome that she was powerless to resist, and could only barely maintain a facade of indifference. Every time he came, he would bring five little devils with him; those five little devils had a similar aura to him, and strangely, the five little girls always liked to play with them, which she couldn't understand at all. Seeing the Immortal Ziwei lost in her own thoughts, Laozi immediately understood her intentions and said , "Immortal Ziwei, this is all due to your thousand-year-long love affair!" Laozi's sudden words startled the Immortal Ziwei, who then looked at him with an extremely strange expression , remaining silent for a long time. Laozi calmly returned her gaze, seemingly waiting for her to speak. Sure enough, after a long silence, the Purple Star Immortal asked in bewilderment, "A thousand-year-old romance?" "That's right," Taishang Laojun nodded. "The time is ripe, so I may tell you. I entrusted those five girls to you because they are destined to be with you! A thousand years ago, you were a Purple Star, lively and adorable, kind-hearted. You always loved to come here to play with those five girls, and over time, a bond developed between you. That's why they've come to keep you company now." "Since I was a Purple Star, why have I become like this?" Taishang Laojun's words piqued her curiosity. In the past, she had absolutely no interest or reaction to anything; no matter what she did or thought, her heart remained unmoved. But for some reason, from the moment Taishang Laojun appeared with those five girls, her heart began to change. The appearance of Xuan Yuan Tianmo and those five little devils caught her completely off guard, leaving her utterly at a loss for how to deal with it. Xuan Yuan Tianmo was an extremely strange person. No matter how cold or disgusted she appeared, he relentlessly pursued her, making the situation completely uncontrollable and leaving her no choice but to let it unfold. Now, Taishang Laojun was actually telling her that she and they had a thousand-year-old karmic connection? "That's because a thousand years ago, you saved Xuan Yuan Tianmo, who was imprisoned in the Seven Treasure Pagoda by the Jade Emperor. At that time, you were moved by his mournful and angry cries, and out of pity, you tore off the seal for him and even kissed his eyes, thus opening the pagoda gate and breaking the seal. For this, you were punished by the Jade Emperor, your soul scattered, and you were condemned to eternal damnation." "If that's the case, then why am I here?" If her soul had already scattered, she, Ziwei, should have . So why was she reborn here? "That's because of those five girls, alas!" At this point, Laozi sighed softly , a solemn expression appearing on his face for the first time. "Past life's cause, present life's effect. If not for the influence of love, how could such a series of loves, hates, and entanglements have arisen? And thus, there is the cycle of reincarnation, and countless karmic connections!" Laozi said with emotion, then looked into the distance. "The five girls couldn't bear to see your soul scattered, so they pleaded with me together, hoping to preserve your soul. But if I go against Heaven's will, I will be punished once discovered. Yet they begged so earnestly, even willing to..." "I was deeply moved by your willingness to bear any consequences, so I lent you a hand and sent your soul to this outer heaven, where it can reside in seclusion. I will let you be reborn a thousand years later, nurtured by the spiritual energy of heaven and earth and the essence of the sun and moon!" Hearing this, the Purple Star Immortal seemed to understand somewhat. "So, this title of immortal I received was also due to Laozi pleading on my behalf before the Jade Emperor?" In truth, she didn't care about having this title at all, because she didn't covet it or want to be bound . However, she didn't expect that she still couldn't escape the laws of the celestial realm. "No! No! It's because you have a destiny bestowed upon you. Those five girls are bound to you by fate. To resolve the great calamity in the mortal realm , your help is essential. That's why you've received this imperial decree." "What do the calamities of the mortal realm have to do with me?" "Very much so. That's why I'm here today. This great calamity is happening because you refused to accept the true heart of the Xuan Yuan Heavenly Demon." "What a joke!" The Ziwei Immortal couldn't help but scoff. "Why can't I refuse?"

"That's because when you kissed his eyes and shed a tear, that warm touch
strangely tugged at his heart of steel, subtly seeping into his ruthless and demonic nature, making him
flutter and yearn only for you."

"Was it my fault? I was punished for saving him." " Back

then, he caused a ruckus in the Heavenly Court because of your being beaten to death by the Jade Emperor. Before the immortals
could react , he vanished in a flash. Later, we learned he had gone to an extremely evil and strange place,
where he subdued the Five Fiend Star Gods, making them follow him, thus increasing his power and making his forces
even more terrifying."

"And then?" She was intrigued by this topic. It turned out that those five strange, wicked, and demonic
little devils were actually the Five Fiend Star Gods. Their background was indeed extraordinary. For Xuan Yuan Tian Mo to have the ability to make them follow him and
obey his commands showed that his abilities were immeasurable and unimaginable.

"He tracked you here the moment he sensed your presence, but you remained indifferent for the past hundred years,
which drove him to the brink of madness. He finally unleashed a massacre, ordering the Five Fiend Star Gods to descend to earth and reincarnate as humans,
causing unrest and endless disasters in the mortal realm."

"You want me to go and tell him to recall the Five Fiend Star Gods and stop harming humanity?"

"No! No! No!" Laozi quickly shook his head in denial. He was joking! If he really let her go,
when would his plans and mission be completed? And wouldn't his previous efforts to persuade Xuan Yuan Tianmo have been wasted
?

Seeing her staring at him suspiciously, Laozi hurriedly said, "What I mean is, even if you try to persuade him,
he might not listen! Unless you're willing to be with him." Seeing Ziwei seem about to frown, he
quickly added, "Of course I know you won't agree, so I won't make things difficult for you. Besides, given your
current temperament..."

Laozi suddenly paused, shook his head, and muttered softly, "Completely different from before.
Born from the icy cold and the spiritual energy of heaven and earth, how could you possibly have any emotional reactions?" "

What?"

Laozi knew, of course, that Ziwei had heard his murmur, so he smiled and said to her, "Nothing,
I just wanted to tell you that those five girls are going to be reincarnated as humans."

His reminder suddenly enlightened Ziwei, and her eyes cleared, no longer filled with doubt
. "I finally understand why you came here. So, you're going to use the five girls to subdue the Five
Fiends?"

"Clever!" Laozi smiled, stroking his white beard that reached his chest, praising her with a chuckle.

Unexpectedly, the Purple Star Immortal's expression changed drastically, and she resolutely refused: "I can't do it! I would never let them
suffer."

Laozi seemed to have anticipated her reaction, remaining calm as he said, "I knew long ago that you
had feelings for them. Perhaps that's why you're entangled!" Seeing her intense
reaction, Laozi smiled even more inwardly. As long as she had feelings for them, his next plan
would surely be even more successful. Perhaps even the Old Man Under the Moon would admire her skill in matchmaking! The

cryptic nature of Laozi's words made the Purple Star Immortal feel uneasy, as if she couldn't extricate herself from
this situation. "Speak! What do you want to do?"

"Send five girls to the mortal realm to be reincarnated, and let their fates be intertwined with the five evil star gods who have descended to the mortal
realm. This will surely resolve these calamities. When the merit is complete, they can return to the celestial realm."

The Purple Star Immortal didn't speak, but just kept looking at Laozi, and then gently reminded him, "They
were originally brought by you. Now you can do whatever you want. Why do you need to ask me?" She raised an eyebrow and asked him, feeling
that this old man was determined to drag her into this mess.

"However, they will need your help and care during their time on the mortal realm. Can you bear to leave them
alone? After all, their fate on the mortal realm is connected with the five evil star gods!" Laozi looked
alarmist , deliberately trying to make her worry and get her involved in this matter. She was the leading lady; without
her, how could this wonderful show continue?

"Why?" She didn't understand why these five girls had to be involved with the Five Fiend Star Gods.
They were all kind and lovely girls; no matter what, they shouldn't have been sent to the mortal realm to suffer this calamity!

"Because their natal stars are the Five Blessing Star Gods. Besides them, who else can persuade the Five Fiend Star Gods to
return to Heaven with them and reclaim their positions? During this period, you and Xuan Yuan Tianmo must stay together day and night,
inseparable , so that you can provide timely assistance in case of any unexpected situation."

"What?" Hearing Laozi say this, Ziwei Immortal's expression changed drastically.

She had to stay with that guy day and night? She was already avoiding him like the plague, and this old man actually wanted her
to do this! She absolutely couldn't accept it, but thinking of the five girls, she hesitated. "Since you're so afraid they'll be bullied, why don't you keep an eye on Xuan Yuan Tianmo?"

Knowing Ziwei Immortal would say this, Taishang Laojun calmly replied, "What? Afraid your willpower isn't strong enough, that you'll be swayed by that guy? You should understand that he won't allow anyone else near him except you." Even though she was reluctant, when she looked up and saw the five girls' cute, innocent faces with pure smiles, she couldn't bear it. She feared they would be bullied and harmed. After all, the Five Fiend Star Gods were not easy to deal with, and their hearts were harder than ordinary people. Just thinking about Xuan Yuan Tianmo made her feel somewhat helpless , let alone them? Even if they weren't facing him, his five subordinates were no weaklings! That's right, was she really that afraid of him? Considering her own status as an immortal, she figured he couldn't do anything to her; otherwise, how could she have lived here peacefully for the past hundred years ? After careful consideration, she nodded and said, "Alright! I agree." Hearing this, Laozi immediately breathed a sigh of relief and chuckled, "Great!" It seemed his plan was half successful. If Xuan Yuan Tianmo wanted to win Ziwei Immortal's heart, it would depend on how hard that guy tried . Now, his task was to send the five girls down to the mortal realm, and then he would go to the Old Man Under the Moon.

She begged for help, asking him to tie a red thread between them so he could finally relax!

***

"What are you doing here?" A clear, gentle, childlike voice rang out, filled with doubt and
curiosity .

Behind her stood a boy of about fifteen, dressed in a white robe. His straight back exuded
a strong, unapproachable, and distant aura, especially his obvious solemnity, as desolate and
lifeless .

Even with this terrifying aura of death he emanated, Fushouxing felt a
force she couldn't understand compelling her to approach him, as if doing so was the right thing to do, and only then could her heart find peace. Moreover, every time
he came with his master, she always paid special attention to him; her gaze involuntarily followed his
movements.

This was his tenth visit. Each time, she had to muster the courage to approach him and urge herself
to speak, but often, after getting close, she couldn't utter a sound. Until today, she finally mustered all her
courage and spoke to him without hesitation.

When he turned to look at her, she realized she had been holding her breath the whole time—extremely nervous.
But when she saw him staring intently at her, an indescribable flutter stirred within her, causing her heart to tighten
and her eyes to widen slightly. She never imagined her heart would flutter for only him.

Shouldn't she have gotten used to that look by now? After all, he had been like that since the first time she saw him.
Yet, each time she saw it, the shock in her heart remained the same.

Those lifeless, deathly eyes, only faintly gleaming with an eerie red light; that strange, ghostly light
made it seem as if looking into his eyes would steal one's soul and drain
one of life from them.

She didn't know why she felt this way.

She only knew that apart from that eerie, ghostly light, his eyes held no other emotion, like
a stagnant pool ; to an ordinary person, he would surely appear as a dead man who had crawled out of a coffin.

His face was deathly pale, his almost translucent skin devoid of any color or
expression , frozen stiff. Even his body was an eerily pale complexion, yet his physique was
robust and strong. Though seemingly malnourished, he actually possessed terrifying power.

She didn't understand how she knew about his hidden strength, only that she was irresistibly
drawn to him, driven by an urge and desire to understand him.

Her curious questions received no response. The boy merely glanced at her before turning back to
the celestial pond where lotuses and water lilies bloomed, teeming with lively fish of various colors.

Seeing him turn his back to her again, the Goddess of Fortune didn't seem to care, instead continuing to walk forward. Just
as she was about to ask him again, she keenly sensed something amiss in the pond, gasping involuntarily, her small mouth
slightly agape, her slender hand pointing incredulously at the strange phenomenon within.

The once delicate, vibrant green lotus flowers and water lilies withered and turned yellow in an instant, while the
lively fish lay lifeless in the pond, seemingly clinging to life.

This bizarre phenomenon stunned Fu Shouxing, leaving her speechless with shock. At that moment, she seemed
to hear his lifeless, chilling voice drift over...

"If you don't want to end up like this, leave now!"

If she hadn't been sure she'd heard him, she would have thought he
'd never spoken! Even his voice was so cold and lifeless. Despite the shock, she
remained intensely curious about him.

"You mean, this strange situation was caused by you?" Although she had a feeling something was amiss, she still
wanted confirmation from him.

He nodded slightly; if she hadn't looked closely, she would have thought he
hadn't . She continued nonchalantly, "Then how did you do it? Why does
everything ?"

Upon hearing her words, Death Star swiftly turned around, as fast as a shooting star. This time,
he scrutinized her carefully…

Her warm yet gentle eyes radiated a clear light, instantly soothing to the eye. Her
round eyes possessed a captivating sensuality, her straight yet rounded nose, seemingly full
peach-colored lips, and rosy cheeks created a lovely and delicate face. Her petite body
was surprisingly full and rounded, her skin delicate and fair, her plump and tender appearance making one want to take a big bite.
She looked no more than twelve or thirteen years old, her voice childlike yet clear.

She was by no means a delicate, celestial beauty; at best, she simply looked quite fortunate. Her rounded
figure was rather cute, yet still agile. Fortunately, although she appeared plump, her proportions were fairly even
and curvy, otherwise she would have looked round and chubby like a ball.

"Why do you look so perfectly fine?" This was the first question that came to his mind, and it came out
naturally .

He was usually a man of few words, and he would never speak unless absolutely necessary. But for some reason, seeing her so
close to him, with no abnormalities on her face and even quite rosy cheeks, he felt an absurd urge to steal her warmth.

Logically speaking, he was a harbinger of death, and anything that approached him, as long as it had breath and life, would either
die or be injured. How could she be standing before him unharmed and with a rosy complexion, asking him all sorts of questions?

"Why should I be in trouble?" the woman asked, looking at him in confusion.

"Because I am the harbinger of death."

This sentence seemed to explain everything, but to his surprise, she was completely oblivious to the situation.

"Huh?" Her face still showed many question marks, not understanding why he suddenly introduced himself
. After thinking for a while, she suddenly broke into a friendly smile and excitedly said to him, "I'm so glad you're willing
to be my friend. I'm Fushouxing."

Seeing her proactively and enthusiastically extend her hand to shake his, he couldn't help but be slightly taken aback, then a look
of disgust appeared on his face. Was this woman an idiot? He was answering her earlier question. The reason for this situation was
all because of his identity, but she mistakenly thought he wanted to be friends with her and even took the initiative to introduce herself! He didn't
care who she was, as long as she didn't bother him.

Just as he was about to tell her to get lost, he caught sight of her smiling eyebrows and the bright smile on her round face, and his
heart fluttered strangely. He couldn't help but frown, hating that he felt this
emotion .

"What's wrong? Are you sick? Otherwise, why do you look so pale?" Fu Shouxing's words
seemed close to his ear. When Death Star came to his senses, he was shocked to find her round face right in front of him,
her expression full of concern.

He wanted to push her away, but a thought floated into his mind—was it because of him? He had never experienced such natural and
unpretentious concern before, and he had thought he didn't need it at all, until now he realized
that this thought was a huge mistake.

As soon as he thought this, his heart skipped a beat, because he found her warm and smooth palms were on his
face, stroking it incessantly, and she kept asking, "Are you alright?"

Fu Shouxing had no idea that the reason his face had suddenly turned so pale was entirely because of her
closeness , and she was still innocently approaching him.

His hand, which had been outstretched in mid-air to push her away, reached forward and touched her soft waist. He then
pulled her into his arms, letting her soft, warm body nestle close to him. As she leaned against him, his nostrils
were filled with the natural fragrance emanating from her, causing him to momentarily lose his senses.

What was happening? Why was his heart, usually as still as stagnant water,
stirred by this smiling girl who had boldly approached him? Although his expression remained unchanged,
still stiff and ashen, a subtle, almost imperceptible change flashed in his eyes.

Death Star hurriedly released her petite body, wanting her to move away from him to avoid being affected by
her , but found that her face still held that sincere concern. Doubt arose in his heart. Why could she
express her concern for him so naturally? How did she do it?

And she was completely unaffected by his approach! He was Death Star! Suddenly, her words
flashed through .

Wait! She's the Goddess of Fortune and Longevity? No wonder she was unharmed when she was near him. A star
goddess of fortune and long life, what did it matter if she encountered him, the god of death?

He squinted at her, her innocent eyes and pure face deeply attracting him,
tugging at his heartstrings, making him, who thought himself heartless and emotionless, flutter slightly.

A sudden surge of intense possessiveness occupied his entire mind and chest, an emotion he had never felt before, making
him want to possess her; without thinking, he suddenly opened his mouth and bit her pink and rosy cheek.

The Goddess of Fortune and Longevity took a step back in pain, her eyes immediately filling with painful tears.

"You bit me?" Her voice was full of grievance, her gaze shooting at him with a hint of accusation.

Her pitiful appearance did not move him at all, but instead filled his previously lifeless
eyes with a predatory and savage light. "You want to be with me?"

His abrupt question made her forget the pain on her face. She lowered her hand from her cheek,
and lit up. She nodded excitedly and vigorously. "Yes, yes, I like you a lot!" Her reaction
was direct and honest, her aura bright and warm.

He was a ruthless, cold-hearted, and unapproachable reaper, unwilling to associate with anyone or let anyone
touch him, not even his master or his brothers; he possessed no emotions, darkness
had long since devoured his soul.

But her words struck him directly, cracking a small fissure in his hardened heart, allowing
her warmth to flow into it, like a warm current entering his heart, creating an incredible
feeling.

This strange feeling contorted his expression, yet he was powerless to resist. He felt as if his
internal organs were about to churn out; a strange tide of emotion tore at his heart, causing him to growl involuntarily, his eyes
turning bloodshot and terrifying, radiating an eerie red light.

He suddenly stepped forward and grabbed her arms tightly, staring at her with wide, excited eyes. "Give me a promise!"

"What?" His unusual excitement startled Fu Shouxing. It hurt so much when he grabbed her!
Why did she like him so much? He was so fierce!

"Didn't you say you liked me? Give me proof so I can believe you."

"How?"

"Stay with me." For some reason, a loneliness he had felt for thousands of years surged up inexplicably at this moment, making him
eager to extract and demand something from her, as if he would lose her and miss her if he didn't
.

"Okay." Fu Shouxing didn't think much and instinctively agreed.

Only after she spoke did she realize what she had promised, but it seemed she had no
way to back out. Their fate was intertwined through lifetimes, bound together by his possessiveness and her promise.

A beam of white light suddenly shot towards them. He instinctively tried to block it, but the light was aimed
directly him, its force so strong that his body plummeted downwards.

Seeing him fall relentlessly, Fu Shouxing was so anxious she almost cried. How could he have been talking to her so peacefully
, and suddenly become like this? Worried about his safety, she cried and, without thinking,
wanted to jump after him.

In that critical moment, she was pulled back by another force. "Don't rush, your time hasn't
come yet. Besides, even if you wanted to go down, it wouldn't be from here."

Fu Shouxing hurriedly turned around and saw an old man smiling at her, easily using magic to
restrain her body and prevent her from leaving. "Uncle, let me go, he..."

Her words were interrupted by Taishang Laojun's shaking of his head. He chuckled and said, "What a predestined relationship!
No wonder you care so much about him. Perhaps this calamity in the human world is an opportunity for you to fulfill your
predestined relationship and return to your respective places!"

Fu Shouxing was only thinking about the life and death of the Death Star and didn't listen
to . "Please let me go! I want to go..."

"Want to go save him?"

"Yes." Seeing how well he understood her thoughts, Fu Shouxing quickly nodded in agreement. Her thoughts were simple and
direct, and she didn't hide her emotions at all.

"Then..." A calculating glint flashed in Laozi's eyes. These girls and their natal stars...
They were all of the same nature, so kind and innocent, easily won over with just a few words, unlike those
cunning and terrifying evil stars who always required him to use underhanded tactics. Alas!

It was truly an insult to his noble celestial status!

These innocent little children were so much cuter! The Supreme Lord Laozi, in high spirits, said, "I'll send you to him,
so you'll know if he's good or not, and I'll let you go and save him. Is that alright?"

"Yes, yes!" Hearing this, the God of Fortune and Longevity nodded in agreement without suspicion, his bright
, warm smile blooming again.

"Alright, then close your eyes, let me send you on your way!"

A glittering star suddenly streaked across the sky, plummeting towards the mortal realm,
disappearing .

The Supreme Lord Laozi smiled and took out two dolls from the Old Man of the Moon from his robes, tightly tying them with red threads,
and handed them to the hidden Ziwei Immortal.

"Alright, mission accomplished, time for the next pair."

Chapter One:

The Ito family, the largest family business empire in Japan, has existed for over a century. Their family business
enjoys a prestigious reputation throughout Japan, even receiving special treatment from the Emperor. Their
influence extends beyond Japan, reaching far overseas.

The mere mention of the name Ito in Japan evokes images of immense power and wealth.
The core of this family is comprised of the three Ito brothers. After establishing their businesses, they comprised entirely of the company's
elite.

Each brother manages a different area of business, and the most capable among them is chosen as president.

Each brother owns 30% of the Ito family's shares, while the president receives the remaining 10
% . The Ito family's vast business empire makes everyone want that extra 10%, symbolizing
superior leadership and power. Human ambition and desire are formidable, so power struggles
naturally occur within the Ito family, and these struggles seem to be escalating.

The power struggle among this emerging generation reached a terrifyingly fierce level. Although
Ito Masao had always led the company, many still coveted the position. However, this situation changed strangely after the birth of his only son,
Ito Ryui…

Ito Ryui's birth brought a series of disasters, curses, and the shadow of death.

His wife died in childbirth, the doctor who delivered him also died inexplicably, and
the other medical staff who assisted him all suffered inexplicable misfortunes, those who survived barely clinging to
life .

Initially, no one paid much attention to this bizarre and terrifying situation. However, gradually, when people
realized that anyone "alive" and "breathing" around him faced the dreadful threat of death, they
began to cautiously maintain an "appropriate" distance from him.

At first, Masao Ito was overjoyed to welcome his son, whom he
had finally He hoped his son would carry on the family line and inherit the extraordinary
achievements he would pass on to him after his death; otherwise, what would be the point of his life's efforts and pursuits?

Unexpectedly, everyone said his birth was a terrible, ominous curse!

In his arrogant mind, he was convinced that his child should possess his superior bloodline, and
this terrible rumor was definitely spread by his covetous relatives, their aim being to seize his
position as president.

He couldn't help but scoff. He didn't believe a word of such nonsense or superstition.
So what if his wife died in childbirth? So what if something happened to the doctors and medical staff? It
was all just a coincidence.

Ignoring the misleading rumors, he happily envisioned a bright future for the child
. However, the moment he approached, he felt unwell. At first, he dismissed
it as a physical reaction to overwork.

But when he picked up the child and looked into his eyes, his horror was overwhelming! The infant's innocent
eyes held a chilling, deathly light, and his arms trembled uncontrollably
.

He experienced an unprecedented and terrifying sensation. Even now, recalling the moment he held the child
still with dread. Had he not immediately and forcefully dropped the child, left the room, and left him behind, he might
not be sitting here today.

At that moment, his heart suddenly seemed to stop beating as if it had a mind of its own. He could only gasp for breath,
afraid that if he didn't exert himself, he would never breathe fresh air again. It felt like someone was choking him, preventing him
from breathing...

But what followed was the extraordinary luck this child brought him, allowing him to wield immense power in the political and business world.

Because of this, he entrusted him to a few fearless and naturally lucky individuals to take care of him, and cleverly
kept Longjing out of his reach. Apart from occasionally checking on him through the large television screen, he
dared not approach him at all; for a powerful figure like him who wielded immense influence in the political and business world, death was the most taboo
thing.

Once a person dies, nothing is left, so what's the point of talking about power and wealth? If one could truly possess these things,
one would need the fate and fortune to spend them!

To be honest, the reason he could still sit firmly on the throne of CEO at the age of sixty-five was entirely due to
the protection of his son, whom he both feared and dared not approach.

Aside from his innate, terrifying aura and influence that could kill, Longjing is simply
breathtaking !

He possesses not only keen judgment and accurate decision-making ability, but also precise analytical skills;
a multitude of numbers and charts are no challenge for his brilliant mind.

At only twenty-five years old, he is already familiar with all the business processes and operations within Ito Corporation. Every
contract and every plan is under his control, and he has predicted the profit targets for each month,
rigorously monitoring and demanding results at the end of the month. If the results do not meet his standards and requirements, he will
remove obstacles to ensure his demands are met.

Therefore, in reality, he has become a president in name only; all decisions are made by
Longjing , and he is merely a figurehead!

To be honest, no matter how cold and ruthless Ito Masao was, he genuinely loved his wife. As time passed,
looking at his son who resembled him so much, he knew there was an undeniable blood ties between them. However, he could
n't muster the courage to be close to his only child, simply because everyone is afraid of death, and he was no exception.

Their connection was only through the cold television screen, and even then, it was only occasional. Even
through the cold equipment, Ryuji's innate aura of menace could still emanate like a ghost, making him
tremble uncontrollably. His feigned courage was easily betrayed in his fearful eyes and trembling limbs.

He remembered how his Ito family had once been prosperous, but after Ryuji's birth, it had gradually declined. Even
his brothers had long since passed away, and the children they left behind had all met tragic ends. Apart from his second brother's only son and
his third brother's only daughter, there were no others.

The power struggles and the large family of the past were gone, and he knew that this was all due to the influence and curse brought about by
Ryuji's birth. This made him feel guilty towards Jingyun and Jingxue, so he took extra care of them,
but they couldn't compare to his son's excellence. No matter what, he couldn't possibly entrust this enormous undertaking
to them; given their current situation and abilities, they probably couldn't handle it!

Now, this old man, nearing his deathbed, had only one wish: to
continue the lifeline of the Ito family, so he could pass away in peace.

But this was the most difficult test. What woman in this world could possibly get close to Ryuji? Forget
having a child with him; even touching a single hair on his head would be an impossible task. This troubling problem had plagued him for months, making him completely forget

his fear of meeting Ito Ryuji only once a month via the TV screen. *** Ito Ryuji sat comfortably against the back of a soft, high-end sofa in his dimly lit study. His lifeless eyes, aside from their darkness and depth, revealed no thought whatsoever. He sat there quietly, radiating a deathly aura, giving the illusion of being a cold statue. Suddenly, a sharp light flashed in his deep, dark eyes as he keenly observed the . The light vanished in a flash, and he too was lost in his own thoughts. On the other side of the cold screen sat his biological father, but what did it matter? Their connection relied entirely on these cold fax machines, computers, and this screen. Since he could remember, these had been his entire life , and he had long been accustomed to it. His acceptance of this arrangement wasn't out of kindness or concern for father-son ties. After all, a completely irresponsible and cold-blooded father was not worth his emotional investment, and besides, he had never been one for emotions. That kind of pretentious, fake stuff simply doesn't exist. The only person he can trust is himself. To imagine those unrealistic and illusory feelings is just a waste of time and energy, and he would never do such a thing. Therefore, he took over the company because he already had his own plans and schemes. He wouldn't , including that old man called his father. His cold, flat tone, as sinister as the Grim Reaper from hell, resolutely pierced through the screen, carrying a strange, fleeting yet chilling quality to the ears of the still-dazed Ito Masao, making him jump slightly. "What? Thinking about how to continue the family line again?" Ito Ryuu completely guessed Ito Masao's thoughts. His voice was so cold that even this experienced man couldn't help but feel uneasy. Every time he spoke face-to-face with Ito Ryuu, even through a screen, he still felt uneasy. To his shame, although he was quite old and Ryuu's father, he was still uselessly afraid of spending time with him. Even if he wanted to look at him, he didn't have the courage to meet his lifeless eyes, fearing that one wrong move would steal his soul and cost him his life. Hearing Ito Ryuji's voice, Ito Masao finally understood that their monthly meeting had arrived again. His words just now were enough to show how worried and concerned he was about this matter; otherwise, he wouldn't have been unaware that this tense and fearful moment had arrived. Ito Masao told himself to be strong and convince himself: since nothing had happened for so many years, what was there to be afraid of now? Producing an heir was a major matter; how could he back down so easily? After encouraging himself, he mustered all his courage and said to Ito Ryuji, "That's right! This matter is very important… uh…" In his momentary excitement, he accidentally met Ito Ryuji's deadpan eyes, quickly gasped, and averted his gaze. He swallowed hard, secretly calming his suddenly racing heart. Even though his reason repeatedly warned him not to be afraid, he still trembled uncontrollably, sweat beading on his brow from nervousness. Fortunately, his years of experience navigating the political and business world had paid off, allowing him to quickly regain his composure, conceal his fear, and muster the courage to continue his unfinished words. "Continuing the family line is extremely important to the Ito family, and you're about the right age to settle down. Why not quickly marry and have children, thus fulfilling one of my wishes?" After uttering these words, slightly out of breath, Ito Masao finally let out a long sigh of relief. Saying these words was truly exhausting, especially since he was facing a terrifying nemesis. Ito Ryuu didn't seem to care that Ito Masao avoided eye contact with him. A faint sneer appeared on his lips as he retorted without hesitation, "When have I ever refused your arrangements to be with a woman? Although the legal procedures were missing, none of them made it out alive." He deliberately pointed out the cold, cruel truth, causing Ito Masao's face to turn pale again. However, this didn't stop him from trying to persuade Ito Ryuu to continue the family line. He still braced himself and demanded, "This time is different. Before, my requirement was that one of them would become pregnant and successfully give birth to a boy before I could receive the title of Mrs. Ito. But they were all too fragile to meet my requirements and died uselessly. So I've decided to carefully select a bride so that you can marry and continue the family line." "Oh?" Ito Ryuji's tone was questioning, yet completely flat. "Do you have the ability to find a woman who won't be cursed to death by me? Or rather, can you find a woman with the courage to face me?" His question truly shattered Ito Masao's confidence, because he simply didn't have that assurance.

Over the years, he had painstakingly searched for a suitable match, but none had met his expectations. Even those he found
somewhat satisfactory died in vain.

However, this time was different. He thought that if this didn't work, then there
was no point in discussing anything else. Suddenly, Ito Masao loudly and confidently declared, "Of course she does! I don't know if she has
the courage to face you, but I know she absolutely won't die while with you. That's
why I insist you agree to marry her; it's also one of the conditions I've set."

Seeing this old man so confidently spouting off in front of him for the first time aroused
a slight curiosity in him, a curiosity he usually had no interest in anything. However, his expression and tone didn't reveal this at all; he simply asked,
"Are you so sure she won't die when she's with me?"

That was impossible! Let alone people, anything alive and breathing would
inexplicably die or suffer a major accident the moment it got close to him. These horrifying tragedies had happened repeatedly since he was a child,
making him realize what a terrible curse his existence was.

"Of course! The other party even made a solemn guarantee, and of course I also conducted a thorough investigation."
Ito Masao suddenly changed the subject, "So?" Ito Ryuji knew what he was asking,
but after a quick glance, he replied, "You can arrange it." Whatever arrangements he made wouldn't affect
his plans; women were utterly dispensable to him. Besides, was that woman really that
special ? That she could face him without dying? He'd like to meet her,
perhaps to add some fun to his currently dull and monotonous life.

Hearing Ito Ryui agree, Ito Masao nodded in satisfaction, smiling broadly and forgetting his
fear of facing him. "Good! Excellent, I'll make the arrangements immediately."

***

The Mizuki family was a well-known and prominent family in the Ise region of Japan, but they had never been extremely wealthy
; at most, they could only manage to make ends meet, living a comfortable life.

This was already quite good for the Mizuki family. However, when it came to Mizuki Koji's
generation , a major change occurred after the birth of his third daughter, Mizuki Hitomi
.

When Mizuki Koji's wife gave birth to their third daughter, he had high hopes that she would bring better
fortune. The auspicious light at her birth was so bright it was blinding, and some even predicted that their family had
a daughter blessed with good luck.

At the time, he was overjoyed, believing that the Mizuki family was about to turn their fortunes around. However, all of this
was just his overly optimistic imagination.

This little girl had an enormous appetite from birth. She was well-fed, well-clothed, and well-equipped—truly a "blessing"!

It wasn't that he was biased; it was just that, inexplicably, she was always well-liked.
A casual gesture from her would naturally result in people giving her food and other necessities.

Strangely, she never brought any benefit to the Guanyue family. They
didn't even get a taste of her good fortune; after she used the gifts, there was no profit to be made.

Even worse, he, as her father, had to provide for her, and her monthly food expenses were so
staggering that he dared not even count them. But strangely, whenever she wanted to eat, there was always some unexpected windfall or
a celebration like someone celebrating their baby's one-month milestone, giving her a chance to be filled. However ,

when he wanted to earn money unrelated to her, he simply didn't have the fortune to do so. Looking at her
plump figure, round face, and carefree, radiant smile, he thought that perhaps it was
due to her own good fortune, but not as much as the connections of the Kanzuki family! Even so, a trace of resentment and regret remained in his heart. If her good fortune could bring great wealth and honor

to the Kanzuki family , wouldn't he, Kanzuki Koji, be able to walk with the wind in his step? Alas! Oh well, perhaps this is the will of the gods! His Kanzuki family had always served as priests at the Ise Shrine , enjoying a certain respect from the people of the region and possessing a good reputation; with fame comes fortune, and it seems that obtaining it now requires destiny! Having been a priest for so long, he naturally understood this principle. Fortunately, Hitomi had an older sister and brother, both very accomplished, and although not wealthy, they were enough to make a living. Rumors circulated that because their family had done so much for the gods, they a baby girl born with a radiant glow—something other families could only dream of! Thinking of this, Koji Mizuki couldn't help but smile bitterly. Yes! Having a daughter with such a huge appetite was indeed no easy feat, but aside from the hefty expenses, it was undeniable that Hitomi was a lovable little ball of a ball, adored by everyone, and cherished to the core, even by him as her father. Her mother and two older siblings spoiled her to an almost unbearable degree, yet she never displayed the slightest hint of arrogance. Even though they weren't wealthy, since Hitomi's existence, their region had enjoyed favorable weather and peaceful lives, without even the slightest disaster. Even the annual flooding miraculously disappeared the year she was born, and everyone was safe and sound; and the feeling after interacting with her could only be described in one sentence: utterly comfortable, as if she were a lucky star. Perhaps because of this, the people here exaggerated her deeds to an extreme degree, and no matter how much he tried to explain, he couldn't change their minds. After all, since the arrival of Hitomi, their region had indeed been peaceful, free from natural disasters and man-made calamities. However, he believed that apart from this strange coincidence, Mizuki Hitomi was just an ordinary girl. Who knew that this would bring so much trouble to the Mizuki family, because everyone with ulterior motives wanted to marry Hitomi to bring them good fortune. No matter how he refused, these frivolous people never stopped, which bothered and angered him. And this time, incredibly, even the renowned Ito family, famous throughout the world and treated with special courtesy by the Emperor, had gotten involved, just to propose marriage for his only son. How could he not be surprised? No matter how much he loved money, Mizuki Koji would never easily give away his precious daughter, even if...

Even the Ito family, with their businesses spanning both domestic and international markets and immense wealth, were no exception. Moreover, he was quite puzzled as to why
the prestigious Ito family would set their sights on a humble family like theirs.

Even if the rumors about Hitomi were powerful, they couldn't possibly have reached the bustling metropolis of Tokyo, could they? Only
someone with ulterior motives would know such gossip, yet Mr. Ito not only personally visited
but also solemnly requested his acceptance of the marriage alliance between their families. Mr. Ito's serious and earnest visit
truly flattered him, yet also filled him with unease. His unease stemmed from the thought that his son might have some hidden
illness . Otherwise, why would Mr. Ito be so interested in his daughter, who was rumored to be blessed with good fortune, and sincerely propose marriage?

Knowing he wasn't stupid, he immediately paid someone to investigate their background, only
to discover that Mr. Ito's only son was a major calamity, a nemesis! Since his birth, everyone who has come near him
has reportedly met a violent end, including his own mother and family members.

Although his talent is exceptional, he is limited by his own inherent jinx. While
he is the one who actually manages affairs and propelled the Ito Group to its peak, he cannot become the nominal leader; otherwise,
something terrible would happen. In other words, he is not fortunate enough to have that status.

Tsk! It's obvious that a jinx like him is just trying to avoid getting himself killed; what good fortune could he possibly
have ? No wonder no one dares to approach him. It's said that even Mr. Ito doesn't dare get close to him,
and even the woman he specially arranged for Ito Ryui couldn't survive, dying without any apparent reason. Why would he be
foolish to offer his precious daughter to him?

Even though Hitomi's large appetite was a financial burden on him, she was a silly and lovable
girl, and he simply couldn't bear to watch her go to her death. Therefore, he initially
refused Mr. Ito's request. However, his sincerity and perseverance were more astonishing than most, leaving him
at a loss.

Perhaps he should wait until they agreed! Since arriving there that day, Mr. Ito hadn't left,
staying at the hotel, preparing for a long-term stand. He not only came here every day but also wandered around the area.
After hearing others' opinions of Hitomi, he was even more convinced that his judgment and decision were correct, resolutely staying
until he agreed.

Not only that, he also made contact with Hitomi, starting with the innocent, kind, and silly girl,
which was giving him a real headache!

Mr. Ito, being a shrewd businessman, immediately saw through her weakness. He not only
targeted but also with her naturally kind and gentle heart, just like now…

Chapter Two

, “Hitomi, is it delicious?” Initially, Ito Masao only wanted to achieve his goals by any means necessary,
but the more he spent with this girl, the more he loved her simple mind and lovely smile. It was as if she
possessed a natural warmth that made people want to be close to her.

Her round face was beaming with joy as she ate the cotton candy in her hand, her round eyes squinting.
It was clear how satisfied she was with the sweet treat that Mr. Ito had sent someone to buy. With her mouth stuffed full of melt-in-your-mouth
cotton , she nodded vigorously with satisfaction, repeatedly saying, "Mmm, delicious, so delicious."

Looking at her genuine and contented smile, Ito Masao was momentarily stunned. Sometimes, looking at her, he
couldn't help but envy her simple and easily satisfied heart; he, on the other hand, had spent his life fighting for power and profit, only to
find himself alone and desolate in his old age…

He easily saw her simplicity, joy, and contentment, and for a moment he hesitated, wondering if he should selfishly
send her to that seemingly lifeless and utterly devoid of humanity.

But he immediately hardened his heart and told himself that it was precisely because of her innocent appearance that she was more suitable.

The continuation of the Ito family line depended entirely on her, because the more he observed her, the more he felt that Mizuki Hitomi
was the most suitable candidate. If even she couldn't do it, then perhaps no one else in the world could
.

Therefore, he had no choice but to do it. Having dominated the political and business world for so many years, his
unshakeable position and reputation are no fluke. He would never let something
profitable slip away unchecked.

This girl is his sole purpose for coming here, and he will certainly make good use of her naiveté to achieve
his goals; otherwise, what would he, Ito Masao, have accomplished?

"Hitomi, Uncle Ito is asking you, do you like Uncle?"

Kanzuki Hitomi opened her round eyes wide, staring at the serious yet wrinkled face before her
. She always believed in the inherent goodness of humanity, especially since this uncle had been so kind to her since arriving,
not only chatting with her but also bringing her delicious food, pretty clothes, and fun trinkets. So,
of course didn't dislike him!

"Of course I like him!" She nodded vigorously, her eyes filled with sincerity.

"Sigh!" To everyone's surprise, Kanzuki Hitomi's answer didn't bring a satisfied smile to Ito Masao's face; instead, he let out a deep sigh,
his brow furrowed worry.

Guan Yue Tong looked at him with a puzzled expression. "Uncle, what's wrong?"

"It's because Uncle is old and has no one to keep him company. If Uncle could have a well-behaved and adorable
girl like you by his side, how wonderful that would be!" In truth, who doesn't yearn for a companion in their old age
? Unfortunately, his status prevented him from finding true love. His suspicious nature and shrewdness always allowed him to easily
see through the women who approached him, recognizing that beneath their hypocritical facades lay only greedy hearts.

Therefore, his only hope naturally rested entirely on his child. However, Long Jing's special circumstances made him
hesitate. Moreover, he knew better than anyone how negligent, cold-blooded, and cowardly he was as a father.
Even now, he couldn't change his attitude towards his son.

Although he wanted to, every time he saw his son's lifeless eyes, all his words and actions were
reversed . He knew that even if he wanted to make amends now, it would be too late.

But looking at Mitsuki Hitomi now, he suddenly felt that dormant spark in his heart rekindle.
The only thing was to bring him happiness and joy.

He couldn't deny that he was still selfish; he not only hoped for a grandson to hold, so he wouldn't be lonely in his old age, but also...
He hoped his son would change because of her, allowing him to enjoy the happiness of family life—that was the kind of wonderful old
age he wanted to pursue. Therefore, he naturally wanted to work on Mizuki Hitomi.

"It's alright! Uncle, as long as you stay here every day, I can keep you company!"

"But Uncle has a son who's even more pitiful than you. No one keeps him company. I wonder if Hitomi would
be willing to keep him company?" A glint flashed in his eyes.

"Huh?" After finishing her cotton, Mizuki Hitomi was stunned by his suggestion, her
mouth agape in disbelief. "Me?"

"Yes! Hitomi, I know you're kind-hearted and would never bear to see someone die, right?"

In Mizuki Hitomi's simple mind, Ito Masao's words quickly became extremely serious. In her
boundless imagination, hearing the words "to see someone die" meant the situation must be very serious
, someone was about to die, and according to him, it seemed only she could save them.

"I only know how to eat, how can I save anyone? Uncle, are you sure you haven't come to the wrong person?" Her round eyes
were filled with confusion.

"Of course not. As long as you agree to come back with me, you can save my son. You are his only
savior . If you don't agree, I think I'll have to go back and see my poor son off." Ito Masao
knew that if he put in a little more effort, this girl would definitely go with him, so he put on an even more convincing performance,
just to move her to go with him.

Seeing Ito Masao's pitiful appearance, Kanzuki Hitomi couldn't bear it, but she also couldn't bear to leave.
What should she do?

Thinking of her father, an idea suddenly flashed into her mind. Perhaps this would be a good
way to solve the problem. She smiled again and took Ito Masao to discuss it with her father.

***

"Wow!" Kanzuki Hitomi couldn't help but widen her eyes, looking at the magnificent mansion in front of her. Rich people
are different. Not only is the place huge, but the furniture is also luxurious and grand. It's unbelievably huge. Her house
is nothing compared to this!

She couldn't help but gasp in amazement, for she had never seen such a large and luxurious house. But she immediately
noticed, with her keen observation, that although it was large and luxurious, it lacked any warmth or human presence, unlike her own home, which, though not large,
was warm and filled with the feeling of home.

The servants, dressed in identical, crisp uniforms, stood in a line, as if welcoming some important figure, making her
somewhat uncomfortable. Even so, she keenly sensed a tense and fearful
aura emanating from Ito Masao.

So, she walked to Ito Masao's side, tugged at his sleeve, and whispered, "Uncle?"

Ito Masao knew these servants were all well-trained; although they were
quite , they quickly concealed their surprise, making him admire his son's discipline.

"Hitomi, just stay here and relax. Don't hesitate to ask if you need anything, okay
?"

"I know, but, Uncle, why..."

Hitomi Kanzuki's words were cut short as she was surprised to see Ito Masao rush to the door. His
swift movement left her bewildered and astonished. Why was Uncle running so fast? Could this house be haunted?

Thinking this, Hitomi Kanzuki quickly scanned her surroundings, then moved to the doorway and asked softly, "
Uncle , what are you afraid of?"

"I..."

Ito Masao only managed to utter one word before a chilling, ghostly voice echoed in the air.

"He's afraid of me!"

The cold, deathly voice reverberated in the air, and the atmosphere around them changed drastically, dropping to freezing point. The
reactions varied. Mizuki Hitomi, focused on looking up at the man who had spoken from the stairwell, didn't notice that
the servants who had been lined up on either side had all silently and quickly left, leaving only the butler and Ito Masao standing there, their faces ashen,
as if they'd seen a ghost.

Wow! Mizuki Hitomi couldn't help but widen her eyes in admiration when she saw the imposing man standing high above.
His strong, muscular physique was accentuated by his black outfit; he looked at least 180 centimeters tall.
Moreover , his outstanding appearance and handsome features astonished her!

She never expected such a superior man to appear before her, a feast for the eyes. Her
gaze was fixed on him, and her feet seemed to move automatically towards him.

The closer she got to him, the more handsome she found him. His long, black hair, past his shoulders,
was glossy . Although his beautiful eyes were lifeless, those deadly eyes were damnably captivating. His straight nose and tightly pursed thin lips further
emphasized his superior looks.

His fair and delicate skin was especially striking; she wondered what it would feel like to touch it. Even
looking up at him from such close range, she could still see that his face was deathly pale, devoid of any
color. She couldn't help but wonder if he was about to die.

"What are you doing?" The icy words escaped through clenched teeth. He was
utterly shocked that this woman dared to stand so close to him and even dared to touch his face, a fact that ignited a fire of anger within him.

He gave her a disgusted once-over—this
woman was round and plump from head to toe; he couldn't think of any other word to describe her besides "round.
" He then keenly noticed something else: Ito Masao's unexpected appearance here
meant that this woman was the one he was going to marry. Just as Ito Ryui's probing gaze was about to fall on Ito Masao, he
heard Mizuki Hitomi's voice, "Because your skin looks so nice to touch, I wanted to
touch it, what else could I do?"

Her clear, soft voice, so matter-of-fact and bold, made Ito Ryui look at her instead. The more
he looked at her, the more impossible it became to ignore the strange feeling in his heart. Why could she laugh so heartily in
front of , seemingly without a care in the world?

Why did she dare to get so close to him? Wasn't she afraid of being killed by him? Ito Ryui
narrowed his eyes, scrutinizing her sharply, but he couldn't see
the fear and apprehension he was familiar with on her face; the emotional reactions he had long been accustomed to were nowhere to be found in this girl!

If she wasn't hiding it too well, then it was because she… His gaze suddenly shifted to Ito Masao standing by the door.
Although he tried his best to hide it, his fear was easily seen through; so, this girl must
be the tool his father specially found to continue the family line?

So, this girl really was the woman his father wanted him to marry? She looked so plump and silly,
could that really counteract his malevolent aura? His lips curled down in disdain, and he said, "Don't touch me!"

"You stingy little thing!"

Her muttering wasn't loud, but they were standing very close, so Ito Ryui heard it clearly. He glared at her
fiercely , a spark flashing in his eyes, so fast that the oblivious Mizuki Hitomi didn't even
see it.

"You want to die, don't you?" His tone was flat, each word seemingly carrying
a chill, a clear threat pressing down on her.

Kanzuki Hitomi seemed oblivious, shaking her head vigorously, her face still bearing that
idiotic . "No! No! No! I haven't lived enough yet, how could I want to die? Besides,
it's shameful to have such thoughts before it's time to die. Our bodies and hair are gifts from our parents, how can we
just want them as we please..."

She wore an expression of utter disapproval, spouting a string of platitudes, causing even the usually
expressionless Ito Ryuji to frown, looking at her with a headache.

Where did the old man find this idiotic woman? He hated noisy women the most, and it seemed
she was one of the best of the bunch, truly making him extremely unhappy. But what he didn't understand was why
he hadn't yet entertained the thought of her dying.

He simply said to the old man with disgust, "You can leave, but take this idiot woman with you,
or I'll throw her out."

His brief command silenced the still-muttering Kanzuki Hitomi, who
glared at him dismissively.

Ito Masao and the butler were completely bewildered by their strange interaction, speechless
until Ito Ryui's words brought them back to their senses, secretly delighted. It seemed that
Kanzuki Hitomi, whom he had painstakingly brought back, could truly ward off this
jinx .

Judging from their "good" interaction, he might finally have a grandchild! How could he let this
golden opportunity slip by? Others might not see it, but he was deeply impressed by Kanzuki Hitomi's expression and
delighted with his son's seemingly calm yet subtly angry demeanor.

Therefore, he decided to "resist to the death," to out of sight, out of mind. He refused to believe that Kanzuki Hitomi couldn't
handle this jinx!

"Uh..." Ito Masao wanted to speak, but lost his courage when he met Ito Ryui's eyes. He could only
sweat and secretly look away before continuing, "You've already promised to marry the woman I arranged. Now that I
've delivered her, you have no reason to return her, unless you don't want to keep your promise!"

This old man actually dared to ask him for a promise? Ito Ryui's eyes narrowed dangerously. "Is that so? You think
you have the ability to defy me?" Listen to this, is this what a son should say to his father? It's simply
outrageous ! Sigh! Ito Masao couldn't utter a single word in rebuttal. He knew that his son's
ruthless and cold-blooded attitude today was entirely his own fault. He couldn't blame his son; who told him to be so afraid of death and dare not
approach his son, ignoring him for the past twenty-odd years!

He could only hope that it wasn't too late, and he looked at Mizuki Hitomi with hope. No matter how afraid of death he was, he had
to find a way to keep this girl by Ito Ryuui's side. Judging from the current situation,
the rumors that this girl was lucky were true.

"Perhaps I don't, but I know what you've been scheming to get. If you
really want it that much, I'd like to give you some advice: you'd better fulfill what you promised me first."

Ito Masao's words struck Ito Ryuui as odd, because this was the first time he had seen him
speak to him so "bravely." He tilted his head slightly, scrutinizing him carefully, pondering what had caused
such a drastic change in him.

Was it because of her? His calm gaze deliberately lingered on her before returning to the old man.
He could easily see the trembling in his eyes despite his insistence, yet he still bravely confronted him.

Ito Ryuui's gaze darted back and forth between Kanzuki Hitomi and Ito Masao,
a thoughtful glint suddenly flashing in his dark eyes, before he said, "As you wish!" After speaking, he ignored them and turned to
go upstairs.

Watching him turn and leave, Ito Masao breathed a sigh of relief. Confronting him was anything but easy;
thankfully, they weren't enemies, otherwise he might not even know how he died. He always felt that even
such a short time with him had already strained his heart.

Like now, being in the same space as his son, he always felt a strong shadow of death
looming , making it almost impossible for him to breathe. If it weren't for the continuation of the Ito family's lineage, he
would never have sought his own death.

Seeing Kanzuki Hitomi walking towards him with a smile, he became even more certain that his decision was correct. Because in this
world , only she was completely unharmed when near Ryui, her complexion still rosy and normal, so he was even more convinced
that Kanzuki Hitomi was Ryui's destined bride.

"Uncle, is he your son?" Kanzuki Hitomi looked at him with sympathy.

"Yes!" Ito Masao nodded, feigning sorrow, "You've seen it too, is
n't pitiful? Nobody dares to approach him?"

"Yes!" Kanzuki Hitomi nodded vigorously in agreement.

"Then would you like to do your uncle a favor and stay with him forever?"

"Forever?" Kanzuki Hitomi frowned slightly, pondering. She had come here with her uncle
because he told her his son was pitiful; not only did nobody stay with him, but nobody dared to approach him either. Everyone
thought he was a terrifying demon, like a jinx; anyone who approached him would die inexplicably. He had
lived a lonely life since childhood, enduring countless strange looks.

When he said this, for some reason, she felt a pang of pity for Ito Ryuji
, whom she had never met. Despite her reluctance to leave her family, she felt an urge to see him.

Her initial hesitation vanished after her uncle told her many stories about Ito Ryuji, and her desire to see him...
Her longing grew even stronger; she had no idea why she had this inexplicable change in mindset, always
feeling a yearning to see him.

So, she took her uncle to her father, a priest, to help her make a decision. Miraculously,
according to the guidance of the gods, the time had come for her to leave home. She was told to just leave and not think about anything else; it
was all God's arrangement. Therefore, her family didn't object much and let her and Ito Masao leave.

As for the long talk her father had with Uncle Ito before she left, she
didn't hear a word.

Now that she saw him, she suddenly had a familiar feeling, but for some reason, this feeling made her heart ache!

She didn't know why she felt this way, but it seemed as if there was an inexplicable pull, drawing her closer to him…
closer to him…

For the first time, the usually carefree girl felt a strange fear, leaving her at a loss. And now her uncle
was talking to her about forever?

Seeing her stunned expression, Ito Masao continued to persuade her. If she agreed, he could immediately
begin arranging their marriage. The news would simply be released to the major media outlets; there was no need for a banquet. Given
the negative rumors surrounding Ryūjō, surely no one would dare risk death to
attend their wedding.

Not to mention outsiders, even he, as her father, wouldn't dare attend his own son's wedding! Therefore,
as long as this girl nodded in agreement, he could immediately use his connections to make them a legal couple.

"Yes! If you're willing, Uncle will handle the paperwork immediately. After all, since you're coming to be with him,
you need to be given a proper status. That's fair to you!"

In truth, it was already unfair to her when Ito Masao brought Mizuki Hitomi here to accompany his son, a cursed star destined for loneliness and prone to causing
death And now he dared to so brazenly
discuss fairness with her!

After leaving them, Ito Ryuichi immediately returned to his study, turned on the monitor, and watched
the interaction and conversation between the old man and the young woman in the living room. For some reason, he felt a strange lingering
attraction to the warm smile on that round face—it was truly bizarre.

However, he would never admit it or care about it, because he would soon tire of her
. Currently, she was the only woman who wasn't afraid of him and dared to look him directly in the eye, which was why he still felt a sense of
novelty towards her. Once he understood her true nature, he could quickly forget about her.

For now, he was only doing this to find out how the old man was plotting against him behind his back, but unexpectedly
, he saw that the old man was still deceiving this seemingly naive young woman. It was clear that she didn't
understand the situation very well; otherwise, she wouldn't have been so foolish as to approach him.

However, what puzzled him was why she could be so "close" to him without any ill effects,
without anyone noticing the slightest abnormality. This was simply impossible, yet
it was happening , causing his heart to feel uncertain for the first time.

Seeing her still silently lost in thought, he felt a mixture of anticipation and trepidation, though
he was unsure what he was anticipating. Had he, who always knew exactly what he wanted and didn't want,
become confused this time? Or was he simply unwilling to explore the answer?

Unbeknownst to him, his own expression mirrored that of the old man—holding his breath in anticipation—until she
uttered, "Alright!" Only then did he breathe a huge sigh of relief.

Ito Masao immediately smiled and said to her, "That's great. Then you can stay here and do as you please.
If you need anything, just ask Butler Nomura. I'll be leaving now. I'll let you know
when ."

Faced with his string of words, Kanzuki Hitomi was somewhat taken aback and hurriedly tried to clarify, "But Uncle, I..."

Ito Masao didn't give her a chance to speak, patting her hand and saying, "I know, Uncle will
miss you very much, but I can't disturb you young people's relationship. So when the time is right, Uncle will
come to see you again."

"No, Uncle..."

Ito Masao suddenly slapped his forehead lightly, "Oh dear! Look at my old senile self, I forgot to
change how you! Next time you come, you'll have to call me Dad, okay? I have something to do now, so I'll be leaving now. Take care
!"

He didn't give Kanzuki Hitomi a chance to speak at all. After instructing the butler to take good care of the future young mistress, he
disappeared like a gust of wind, leaving Kanzuki Hitomi with a look of astonishment.

"But I don't want to get married so soon!" she blurted out, her voice tinged
with a pitiful expression.

Although Ito Masao didn't hear her protest, unfortunately, Ito Ryuji fully
grasped the situation. So this woman was so unwilling to marry him? Fine! Very well! Then he'd reluctantly play along.

Chapter Three:

At mealtimes, a large, sumptuous table of steaming dishes would be laid out in the spacious dining room for
Ito Ryuji to enjoy. At this time, the servants would automatically avoid him and only
reappear after their master had finished eating.

Ito Ryuji was already quite used to this routine, because the servants working there were all terrified of
the chilling, deathly aura emanating from him, fearing that if they got too close, they might
accidentally stop breathing.

As for why they would risk their lives to work here? The reason they worked there was because the pay was extremely high and
the benefits were excellent. As long as they did their jobs well, fulfilled their duties, did more work and talked less, and were quick to leave when it was time to leave, and didn't meddle in other people's business, then working there wasn't as terrible as the rumors or their imaginations suggested. Moreover, the only person who would actually interact with the master was the butler, Nomura. Even if they were terrified and acted cautiously , they were still very willing to stay and serve. They had been working there for so long and nothing had happened, hadn't they? As long as they didn't go looking for trouble, they were fine. They believed that no one would be so foolish as to seek death . Ito Ryuui sat down, about to pick up his chopsticks, but his eyes had already quickly scanned each dish . He immediately sensed something was wrong, so he put down his chopsticks and went to the specially made walkie-talkie to ask Nomura to come to the dining room. As soon as Nomura arrived at the dining room, he immediately knew why his master wanted to see him, and cold sweat poured down his forehead.

A sweaty sweat trickled down his collar. "Master, is there anything you need?" He stood in the entryway, not
too close to Ito Ryuuji, maintaining a small distance between them.

Nomura knew that he could stand there only because he was born with a stronger constitution than others
, which made him more resistant to the murderous aura emanating from his master. Even so, he dared not get too
close , because that aura was truly too oppressive.

Ito Ryuuji didn't even glance at him, and said coldly in a deep voice, "Nomura, who prepared today's dishes
? Tell that person to go home and eat their own food!"

Nomura's face turned pale and then red. Of course, he knew who had prepared them, but... sigh! It
was truly pitiful for servants like them. They were just following orders, but every time there were consequences, they had to be
the scapegoats.

"Uh, Master, this matter cannot be blamed on the cook, it's just because..."

"What? You have a reason?"

He interrupted him sharply, making Nomura tremble slightly.

But Nomura had no choice but to continue, because someone had instructed him
that if the master blamed him, he could simply shift the responsibility to her. "That's because of what Miss Mizuki said, she said..."

His words were interrupted by the loud clapping of Ito Ryuui's hand on the dining table, which startled him greatly.
He had never seen his master so angry. Ito Ryuui's cold gaze swept over him, making him tremble
all over .

"When did she become the head of this household? Besides, how am I supposed
to eat ?" All he could see were vegetables and radishes, not even half a plate of meat. It was truly absurd!

"Miss Mizuki said that if the master has any objections, he can go directly to her..." Nomura's words
stopped abruptly when Ito Ryuui suddenly took a step forward, and he took a large step back, not daring to even breathe.

"Very well!" Seeing how frightened he was, Ito Ryuui didn't want to bother with him anymore. He knew that no matter what he said,
it would be useless. The only way was to find that audacious and arrogant foolish woman
and teach her a lesson, letting her know who the real master was.

"Go and find her for me!" he coldly ordered.

"Miss Mizuki is in the kitchen. I went to look for her just now, but she refused to come and told me to tell the master
to go find her himself... uh!" Before he could finish speaking, he saw his master had already swept past him like a gust of wind,
heading towards the kitchen.

Nomura subconsciously took out a handkerchief and wiped the dirty water from his forehead, secretly worrying for Mizuki Hitomi
. Looking at his master's murderous appearance, she could only pray for good luck.

***

As Ito Ryuui strode towards the kitchen, he didn't expect to see a group of women
talking loudly and happily, almost shattering his eardrums. He couldn't help but frown slightly, thinking to himself: No wonder people say that
women gathered together are like a marketplace; this feeling of being there is truly terrifying!

He didn't speak, but as soon as he stood in the entrance hall, a
chilling , allowing everyone to quickly sense the unease
and turn to look at him. Their immediate reaction was to flee the scene.

Ito Ryuui had no interest in making things difficult for them, as his attention was entirely focused on Mizuki Hitomi, who was unaware of his
arrival, sitting leisurely with a chicken leg in one hand and an iced cola in the other, enjoying her meal
.

"Delicious?" His cold tone carried a hint of anger, but the person eating seemed oblivious.

Mizuki Hitomi savored the delicious taste of the chicken leg, finding it a true delight.
Completely was immersed in the pure sensory pleasure of the food. When a voice reached her
ears, her natural reaction was to respond to his words.

"Yes, it's so delicious!" she said, a satisfied smile spreading across her face, utterly unaware of the impending danger.

Suddenly, Ito Ryuu's tall figure moved swiftly and stood before her. Seeing
the chicken leg and the various delicious foods laid out before her, a fire ignited within him. "You have quite
the nerve!"

His sudden, low growl finally startled the unsuspecting Mizuki Hitomi. Her hand trembled, and she quickly
looked up at him, a flash of surprise crossing her face before she smiled. "It's you! What's the matter?"

The glistening grease on her lips and that irritating smile filled him with impatience, his tone even carrying a hint of
disgust. "You're so kind! You eat all that meat and fish yourself, but you expect me to prepare all those wild vegetables for you. You're something else!"

Her kind and innocent heart couldn't detect his sarcasm; she only
took . So she smiled and said to him, "Actually, I'm not that kind." Hearing him praise her, she
felt a little embarrassed, a blush creeping onto her face. Then she added, "I just wanted to prepare some
vegetarian dishes for you, to see if it could lessen your fierce aura. If you start cultivating your character, I guarantee you'll become
universally loved!" "

This woman!" Ito Ryuji nearly fainted upon hearing her words. She was so "naive"!
He began to doubt… no! He should say he regretted agreeing to the marriage. He wasn't even willing to marry this woman! The
thought spending his life with her made him want to curse himself to death!

He squinted at her, utterly bewildered. Why, among so many women, was she the only one
unharmed despite being so close to him? Was it fate playing tricks?

No! He didn't believe in such things. He was the master of his own destiny! Heaven had long abandoned him, and
he didn't care for any salvation. The only person he could trust, the only person he could rely on, was himself!

That this woman wasn't afraid or terrified in his presence was indeed unusual, but he simply couldn't
believe anyone could stay by his side unscathed. He believed it wouldn't be long before she died a violent death.

Judging from how quickly and voraciously she ate, stuffing herself with food, even if she didn't
die from being near him, she would die from overeating—choking to death! He thought maliciously.

A vision of her death flashed through his mind, and a strange unease settled in his heart; he felt a deep
aversion to seeing her end up like that.

He gritted his teeth and sneered, "What's the point of being loved by everyone?" He didn't care about being loved by everyone at all.
Besides, he's a grown man; he wouldn't stoop to such disgusting antics.

Moreover, he's the Grim Reaper everyone fears; changing his nature is utterly impossible!

"I never imagined Uncle was right, you really are pitiful." Guan Yue Tong was completely
unaware that his expression had already turned extremely ugly, and even less aware that she was the "culprit"! Her focus was entirely
on the chicken leg in her hand; after she finished eating, the oily sheen on her hands made her instinctively
suck on her .

When Ito Ryui heard her say he was pitiful, he was about to get angry, but when he looked up and saw her licking
her shiny fingers and then sucking on them, the unintentional sensuality made him stunned.

She wore a satisfied smile, the sweet juices of the chicken staining her tender red lips like the finest rouge,
making one want to kiss her. He narrowed his deep eyes, staring intently at her blissful eating.

What kind of feeling was this? A physiological reaction that rarely occurred to him surged forth at this moment
, an indescribable restlessness that made him feel hot all over, an impulsive desire to kiss her slightly parted,
full lips.

"Mmm..." She had no idea what was happening, only to find her lips blocked
by something cold and wet, making it impossible for her to speak or breathe.

When he came to his senses, he found himself kissing her lips; her lips were so soft, so fragrant, the
smooth and sweet taste made him linger, unable to resist sucking and kissing them again and again. When he looked up, he
found that this little fool was desperately trying to inhale, her cheeks flushed red, as if she was about to have
trouble breathing .

He couldn't help but irritably pull his lips away and scold, "Idiot!"

After he moved away, Kanzuki Hitomi found her breathing much easier, and she couldn't help but greedily inhale
the fresh air. While he was scolding her, she couldn't help but stare at him wide-eyed, pointing at him in terror, "You, you
…" Her words became hesitant and stammering.

"What's wrong with me?" Ito Ryuuichi couldn't help but frown, finding it unacceptable that she
looked at him with such a normal expression, as if he were some terrifying thing. He didn't know what was
wrong ; he just didn't like seeing her react this way.

"You really are like they say, that people who get close to you will have difficulty breathing and then die.
You're so scary!" She gently patted her chest with her soft little hand.

***

After hearing Kanzuki Hitomi's words, Ito Ryuuichi was silent for a moment, then suddenly burst into laughter,
a wild and chilling laugh; a dull feeling welled up inside him, but he immediately ignored it.

He didn't want to delve into his inexplicable psychology, simply saying coldly, "Only now you're afraid
? Isn't it too late?"

How ridiculous! Someone actually treats a kiss as a matter of life and death, blaming others for not even knowing to breathe . If his murderous aura truly had an effect on her, she should have died long ago
after he'd been near her for so long. Would she still be alive now? It was her clumsiness in not knowing how to kiss that caused this ridiculous situation! A glint flashed in his eyes as he realized her behavior was as innocent as a virgin, and a surge of joy rose within him. It seemed this woman had already caused him too many emotional ups and downs, to the point that his defenses had to be raised to their limit. This was unprecedented, forcing him to look at her in a different light. He just didn't understand why, despite being a round, innocent, and somewhat naive woman, his heart was drawn to her. His coldness, his aloofness, seemed to have no effect on her at all. She stood up, her expression suddenly changing to one of extreme seriousness. "You're so pitiful!" Ito Ryuji was stunned by her words. What was she even saying? He wanted her to be afraid of him, to leave his life, to give him some peace, and yet she dared to call him pitiful? His face contorted in an ugly grimace. No one had ever dared to call him pitiful in front of him, and besides, he didn't believe anyone in the world would think him pitiful; such an adjective could never be used to describe someone like him. Her words were an insult! "Ugh..." Yue Tong's eyes widened in disbelief that he had covered her mouth again. Ugh... her face contorted in pain. How could he be so terrifying? Just for saying he was pitiful, he covered her mouth and wouldn't let her breathe—it was too much! She pushed against his chest with both hands, trying to get him away from her body to avoid being killed by him, but no matter how hard she pushed, she couldn't move him, leaving her anxious and panicked, completely at a loss for what to do. Ito Ryuui completely disregarded Mizuki Hitomi's meager strength. His reason had vanished without a trace with her words; all that remained was the desire to silence . However, the moment he touched her lips, the soft, smooth touch captivated him. His previously expressionless eyes suddenly blazed with a fiery light; his lips deftly traced the shape of hers, then teased her lips, savoring their soft, alluring taste. His kiss was domineering and demanding. For some reason, this sweet flavor was irresistible, making it impossible for him to pull away. He could only suck, lick, and nibble at her lips, filling his body with burning pleasure. Mizuki Hitomi felt like she was about to suffocate, but he still desperately pressed his lips against hers, forcing her to open her mouth wide to gasp for air. Unexpectedly, his tongue slipped into her mouth, exploring her tenderness and sweetness. Finally, he released her, allowing her to breathe. As she greedily savored the fresh air, Ito Ryuji's attention shifted to her tender shoulders, his lips rubbing against her soft, delicate skin. He reached out and brushed aside her hair, kissing the exposed skin repeatedly. Kanzuki Hitomi initially wanted to protest why he was treating her like food; she couldn't eat him, and if she was hungry, wouldn't she find something to eat herself? But as his provocative kisses continued to fall, she felt a shiver run through her body, and a strange sensation arose within her.

This unfamiliar yet intoxicating sensation rendered her speechless, unable to utter a word of protest.
To her astonishment, his hands began to grope her breasts!

She tried to resist, but he firmly grasped one of her soft breasts and began to knead and caress it, causing
the unfamiliar heat within her to surge even more unrestrainedly. Involuntarily, soft moans escaped her lips.

Upon hearing her soft cries, Ito Ryuji couldn't resist the surge of excitement. He kissed her lips again, wrapping
his arms around her waist, pulling her body close to his, forcing her to reach out and cling to him.

His large hands roamed along her full, soft curves, his body naturally reacting with fervor.
The alluring fragrance of her body filled his nostrils, making him involuntarily embrace her tightly,
wishing he could meld her into his own.

"Ugh, no!" Kanzuki Hitomi pushed him away forcefully. "It hurts!" His tight embrace was
unbearable, forcing her to protest.

However, Ito Ryuji couldn't stand her reaction. He'd never met
a woman as clueless as her. Did she even know what they were doing? She was acting so innocent.
Shouldn't she be the one to vent his lust?

Looking at her round, rosy face, his heart fluttered involuntarily. Ignoring the distance she had created,
he reached out and cupped her face, coldly saying, "I think you haven't forgotten your place, have you?" His desire for her was so
intense that he impatiently wanted to possess her to satisfy his physical needs. He admitted that
this woman had indeed aroused his desire, but if there was anything different about her, he would never believe it
.

How could he possibly feel anything for a woman who looked so fair and plump?
A strange feeling? That's just a physiological reaction!

Since she's the only one in the world who has been able to get close to him and remain unharmed, it's not a bad choice for her to satisfy his long-suppressed
desires. Besides, for her, it would be a great
honor.

Guan Yue Tong's mind was a little slow to process this, and she could only stare at him with her mouth wide open in slight bewilderment. "Identity? What
identity ?"

Although it was difficult to talk to her, he still answered her patiently: "Weren't you the one my old man
found to be my bride?"

"Yes!" She nodded, then quickly shook her head. "No! No! I didn't agree."

Ito Ryuji was slightly satisfied with her initial agreement, but she continued to deny it, making his
already cold expression even colder. He rebuked her in a deep voice: "What did you say?" How dare she rush to
distance herself from him? This woman has a lot of guts. No one has ever dared to say
"no" to him in front of him! What's even stranger is that her rejection caused a faint pang in his heart. He didn't want to dwell on

this unfamiliar emotion ; he simply felt that her rejection had greatly damaged his male pride, making him involuntarily twist his lips in a grimace. He desperately wanted to kiss her lips hard, to make her unable to refuse him anymore. "I said..." She looked up and saw that his handsome face, which had previously been devoid of emotion, was now filled with a strange and gloomy aura. This time, she was much more perceptive, and her tone immediately softened as she finished speaking softly, "I didn't do it willingly; Uncle made me do it!" "Then why did you come back with him?" Damn it! He had never raised his voice before, but was breaking his own record for this woman. Despite being intimidated by his imposing manner, Guan Yue Tong honestly answered him, "Because Uncle said you were pitiful , and if I didn't come back with him, you would be very pitiful." "Damn it!" he couldn't help but curse under his breath. From the moment they met, she had kept saying he was pitiful; how infuriating! What exactly is so pitiful about him? "What exactly did that old man say to you?" "He..." Before Guan Yue Tong could finish speaking, he interrupted, "No matter what that old man said, I want to tell you seriously , I'm not pitiful at all. If you say I'm pitiful again, watch out, I'll make you regret it!" He said through gritted teeth. Ito Ryui quickly turned to leave; staying with her any longer might lead to a stroke. The next moment, however, he seemed to remember something, turned back, and glared at her. "If you want to stay here, behave yourself and don't mess with my food!" He didn't give Guan Yue Tong a chance to speak before disappearing like a gust of wind. Belatedly realizing what had happened, Guan Yue Tong touched her lips, which he had just touched, after he left. The strange sensation, a tingling, electric-like feeling, made her unconsciously smile.
