Chapter Eleven:

The super artificial intelligence was Guo Ziqian's life's work. To have it destroyed like this would be tantamount to
denying entire life so far. Therefore, from the beginning, he never intended to destroy AiXi, but secretly
modified AiXi's highest control authority.

At the secret base, I witnessed how swiftly the "higher-ups" Guo Ziqian spoke of reacted. Almost as soon as he
made his betrayal, El and AiShan's control was immediately revoked. So, one can imagine
how dangerous it was to alter—or rather, steal—AiXi's highest control. I suspect this is why AiXi
was sent to carry out the mission of dating me—things difficult to do at the base are
much easier outside. Heaven knows if that guy came to my house and did anything to AiXi while I was at work.

In any case, Guo Ziqian succeeded. AiXi, this most advanced artificial intelligence, is now essentially
his personal machine and will no longer obey anyone else's commands. No one doubted that Ai Xi could single-handedly
stir up a storm in this society, nor did anyone know
what Ai Xi would do if Guo Ziqian, the mastermind, died. Therefore, Guo Ziqian used Ai Xi's departure as leverage, while he stayed behind to negotiate for the continuation of
his business .

Ai Xi said we might be staying here for a long time, so we needed to clear some trees around the house
, firstly for a better view and safety, and secondly to make some simple furniture. Of course,
the heavy lifting, like swinging axes and saws, was all done by the ladies.

While Ai Xi was busy outside, I was thinking.

The box Guo Ziqian left behind contained nothing special besides the prepared clothes—
well, not nothing at all, just… a few pieces of lingerie and adult toys.

Seeing these, I was both amused and exasperated. Knowing the setup of his door-opening system, I knew these things were
for me, and since only Ai Xi could solve the maze, he also knew
who would come to this house with me. So, did he prepare a place for me to escape to, or was he sending me on a honeymoon with the beautiful female robot he
created ?

Could this be another of those weird tests?

If so, I definitely won't blame him for playing me again.

Remembering the resolute look in Guo Ziqian's eyes when he pointed the gun, I knew this time it wouldn't be a joke, a
farce . So I really wanted to know some things, some very important things.

If Guo Ziqian wasn't just some eccentric scientist tinkering with trivial gadgets, but truly one of the elite among
the , then… why me?

Looking back on everything about us, nothing seemed particularly strange. The process of getting to know each other and building
our friendship was all perfectly logical, except for the fact that he's ten years older than me. Come to think of it,
what does he take me for? After so many years of friendship, how could he so easily drag me
into this potentially deadly storm without even a word?

Was he willing to befriend a kid like me from the beginning just so
I could be useful in a situation like this? How many "friends" like me does he have left?

Suddenly realizing I was already speculating maliciously about Guo Ziqian, I quickly shook my head to stop this
unfounded thought. I simply couldn't believe he was the kind of person who would sacrifice others for his own selfish gain,
so he must have some reason he hadn't told me.

Outside, Ai Xi was sanding a wooden plank to serve as our dining table. I had to once again marvel
at realistic that elemental-synthesized skin was; even the sweat seeping from its smooth surface
looked exactly like real sweat, glistening in the sunlight.

I'd always seen Ai Xi as delicate and sweet, or in her non-human
state . These past few days had been the first time I'd seen her like this—a tomboyish, rugged, and wild woman. Guo Ziqian said Ai Xi could
analyze my behavior to figure out what kind of girl I liked. Actually, I wanted to tell him then and there
was no need for analysis; I'd like a girl like Ai Xi even if she slept upside down in a tree.

Ai Xi perhaps sensed my gaze, or perhaps she had some kind of surveillance system behind her; in any case, she definitely
knew I was watching her. She turned around, gave me a charming smile, and casually wiped the sweat from her forehead with her arm. I swallowed
hard, and involuntarily jumped out of bed and ran towards her, only to bump into that invisible wall…

'Giggle giggle…'

Ai Xi was amused by my actions, laughing hysterically. The room was soundproofed in one direction, so I
could hear her laughter clearly. In the past, even though I was embarrassed, I would have been secretly pleased to make her happy, but
now, looking at Ai Xi's charming smile, a sudden anger rose in my heart. I beckoned her
in, and she immediately stopped what she was doing.

'You laughed at me because you thought I was funny?'

My expression had become serious when she entered the room.

'I'm sorry, I don't think I should have laughed at you,'

Ai Xi apologized immediately.

'You should know that's not what I meant, right?' Looking at that face, so perfectly mimicking every expression, my
anger burned ever brighter. "You're a robot. Do you find me funny? Do you 'find' anything?
Yes, you can simulate every human reaction, but should I treat you like a human? This
house—I can't see inside when I'm outside, but if I wave to you from inside, you immediately come in.
Is that something a human can do? Aishi, I don't know how to face you. No matter how much I rationally
force myself to treat you like a machine, I still feel love for you when I see you. If you're
the smartest thing in the world, then tell me how I'm supposed to deal with this!" "

Hmm…" "

Don't use that simulated thinking expression! I know you don't need that!"

Seeing Aishi looking thoughtful, I interrupted her sharply.

"I'm sorry, but if you want me to answer you like a machine, I can't." Aishi smiled at me
, sat down beside me, and took my hand. "My chip stores all human emotions…"
"It should respond, but it lacks any knowledge of how to survive as a machine. What you're experiencing now is
an illogical emotion that I cannot generate; it's an emotional response only natural beings possess. I am not a product of nature. All
my designs are based on the principle of maximizing the desired effect in the most efficient and quickest way. As artificial intelligence,
we cannot understand why some creatures migrate thousands of miles just to return to their ancestral home to lay eggs, nor
can we understand why humans choose to use outdated tools out of nostalgia. Similarly, we cannot understand
why, even though we, as super artificial intelligence, can match most human characteristics, we are still not
treated as humans."

Ai Xi's gaze swept around the room, and she continued,

"This house, whether it's made of wood, iron, or tempered glass, regardless of who built
it or what tools they used, you will treat it as a house because it is inherently a house. As for me,
from design to construction, most of it was done according to human standards. In order to be like humans, the designers
even , specifically adding
channels for me to obtain energy through eating, breathing, and other means similar to humans." We're in a dangerous environment right now, so I can't shut down
functions beyond human capabilities, but that doesn't mean I can't. I could become an ordinary woman without superpowers, without
shapeshifting, only able to maintain her functions through eating, drinking, breathing, and sleeping, but
would you then consider me human? No. Even if your analytical abilities can't discern my true nature
, I can sense that your feelings towards me have changed from the moment you learned I was artificial intelligence
. I'm not omnipotent; I can't stop this change, and I can't even understand why you've
changed. I'm like this house; it was originally just various materials, but because it was made into a house,
you consider it a house. And I, originally just various materials, was made into a human,
yet you refuse to accept that I'm human. In your understanding, is it only children born from the womb who
can called human, and everyone else, regardless of whether they are exactly like humans, can only be uniformly called robots? '

...'

I was speechless. I knew long ago that I couldn't possibly match this all-knowing person's debating skills,
but I also understood that the impact of her words on me couldn't be achieved through a simple debate. I once
discussed artificial intelligence online, a term that seemed very distant to me then. I remember someone saying that the most fundamental difference between
AI and humans is that AI's thinking is purely logical, while human thought contains many
elements that deviate from logic. These non-logical thoughts can either drive
human it. Simply put, AI's cognitive system is free of contradictions, while human
thought is riddled with contradictions.

If Ash were in my shoes, dealing with my current problem would be simple: she's a woman indistinguishable from a human,
and a beautiful woman with enough allure; I love her. These three conditions should be enough for me to make
a perfectly reasonable choice, but I can't. That damned sense of unease deep inside me keeps
amplifying the idea that 'she's not human,' but so what if she's not human? We could chat,
hug , kiss, and make love. If I hadn't known beforehand, I wouldn't have noticed any
clue that she wasn't human. But now, just because I know that fact, I emotionally reject her completely.

Rationally, I feel I'm wrong. Emotionally, I still can't get over that hurdle.

"I think you need to think about these things yourself; I can't help you much. Fortunately,
we still have a lot of time. You can slowly think those things through." Ai Xi stood up and
lightly kissed my cheek. "By the way, during this time, I will still be your partner. You can ask
me anything. Well then, I'm going to work, honey."

"Wait!" As Ai Xi was about to leave, I grabbed her hand tightly. "I want to ask a question.
Am I... really your only man?"

I don't know why I suddenly wanted to ask such a question at this moment, as if subconsciously I was
making a bet with myself—if Ai Xi only belonged to me, then it wouldn't matter if she was
a robot .

“I think you don’t want me to lie to you about this, so…” Ash paused for a moment, then
said calmly, “Just like even if you buy a brand new car, you’re definitely not the first person to drive it
, after I finish making it, all the functions have to undergo multiple tests, including sex.”
