Analyzing rape

    page views:1  Publication date:2023-04-26 08:12:19
Rape is a rather obscene word, a rather provocative word, and also a rather fashionable term. Rape begins with a sordid desire, which is then manifested as an aggressive act. In other words, rape itself stems from an abnormal mindset, using violence as a means.

From a criminological perspective, rape is undeniably a criminal act; in terms of its purpose, it is a form of extramarital sex. Of course, with the expansion of "democracy and freedom," there are also cases of husbands raping their wives. Therefore, a more accurate traditional definition should be: rape is the act of a man forcing a woman to have sexual intercourse against her will, using violence, coercion, or other means. In addition to the

physical harm caused to the victim, rape also inflicts severe psychological trauma. Initially, the victim is filled with anger, fear, anxiety, and tension; afterwards, they feel depressed, remorseful, and guilty, and may even contemplate suicide due to internal and external pressures. Whether the woman experiences sexual pleasure during the rape is unknown to others; this is likely related to the victim's psychological state at the time.

However, there are exceptions: a woman whose husband is impotent and has never had sexual intercourse after marriage. Years later, she experienced the shock of sex only when she was raped and then demanded a divorce. Of course, this is an extremely rare case.

Rape in a Broad

Sense The common perception of rape is sexual assault, more accurately, male-on-female rape. But this isn't the whole story. A woman can be raped by a man, a man can be raped by a woman, and even a man can be raped by another man. The victim can be a person, an animal, a corpse…

Rape, in essence, refers to the barbaric violence of one individual against another. Similarly, public opinion can be raped, a nation can be raped, the mind can be raped, and culture can be raped! American culture, sometimes called "McDonald's culture," is one of the most brutal rapists in the world today.

The title of this "miscellaneous essay" is "Rape Culture." To avoid some foreign readers who are very interested in my articles misinterpreting the meaning of the words, I want to clarify that "rape" here is a verb, meaning "to rape culture," not "the culture of rape." Rape can never become a culture, because rape itself is a crime committed without culture, and rapists (including those with the intent to rape) are certainly uncultured and uncultured individuals. Of course, there are some hypocritical intellectuals in life who appear respectable and knowledgeable, yet still commit rape.

Rape also exists in the cultural sphere; some rape their own culture, others rape the culture of others.

There is no justice in rape.

Rape is both a legal and a moral crime. As long as it is rape, there is no justice to speak of.

Below are two Xinhua News Agency reports on rape, both occurring in the Balkans, with the rapists being from both sides of the Balkan Wars. The rape committed by UN peacekeeping soldiers sent to "uphold justice" is essentially no different from the rape committed by Yugoslav soldiers accused of "war crimes" by the UN. Report 1: The

International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, located in The Hague, is trying wartime rape for the first time, and they intend to list wartime sexual assault as one of the most inhumane crimes under international law.

The defendants, Kuva?, Kunarac, and Vukovic, were former soldiers from Bosnia and Serbia who committed up to 50 counts of rape, torture, enslavement, and violations of personal dignity in the "Fo?a case." Fo?a is a city in southeastern Bosnia.

In the summer of 1992, the defendants established "comfort stations" or "rape factories," where dozens of women were detained. These women were reportedly beaten every night and forced to have sex with soldiers and militiamen. They were gang-raped, tortured, and often forced to give birth. Many victims suffered permanent damage to their genitals and lifelong trauma from the sexual assaults.

The European Community estimated in 1993 that there were 20,000 rape victims in the war. The Bosnian government's figure was 50,000. The UN Security Council established the Yugoslav Tribunal after discovering in 1993 that prisoners of war in Bosnian military camps had been murdered, raped, and tortured. Judges sentenced 14 defendants in the war to up to 45 years in prison.

Report 2: A U.S. soldier in the international peacekeeping force stationed in Kosovo was detained on the 15th on suspicion of raping and murdering a 12-year-old Albanian girl. U.S. peacekeeping commander Sanchez informed representatives of Vitina, a town in southeastern Kosovo, that the U.S. soldier was likely connected to the murder of a girl in the town two days prior. He stated that the international peacekeeping force would prosecute the U.S. soldier based on the final investigation results. Xinhua News Agency reported that this was the first time since the international peacekeeping force's deployment to Kosovo that it publicly acknowledged a crime committed by a peacekeeping soldier against local residents.

In cases of cultural rape, the perpetrator often uses the guise of "cultural export," "cultural infiltration," "cultural comparison," and "cultural progress" to forcibly instill their own desires and distort the culture of others. There are indeed foreigners who, under the banner of spreading culture, treat Chinese culture with contempt.

Another type of crime is the rape of one's own culture, euphemistically called "cultural revolution." Not content with "revolution" within their own country in their youth, they now travel abroad in their old age to spread their cherished "Cultural Revolution spirit." In fact, there is no explanation for rape. Whether it's raping the body, raping public opinion, or raping culture, the essence is the same. There is only "rape justice" in the world, not "just rape."

The Motives of Rape

When discussing rape, people instinctively assume the motive is to obtain sexual pleasure. Rapists experience sexual pleasure during the act, which intensifies, often leading to ejaculation and orgasm, followed by sexual satisfaction… However, this only refers to rape in the traditional sense.

Modern rape cases are diverse. People often perceive rapists as brutish men, believing the purpose of rape is to achieve pleasure, but this is not always the case. The New York Post recently reported on a twelve-year-old AIDS boy who, out of revenge, attempted to spread AIDS by sexually assaulting other young children. He raped at least five children, including a three-year-old girl. He told detectives, "I have AIDS, and I want everyone to get it."

A husband who discovers his wife's infidelity and rapes her in a fit of rage is also driven by jealousy and revenge.

Japanese soldiers raped countless women in China, not only to satisfy their lust but also to release their deep-seated fear of war and death. The rape (sodomy) of prisoners of war has been documented since ancient Rome; they didn't just indulge in lust, but more importantly, they poured out their hatred. Therefore, for thousands of years, "military rape" has been a prevalent phenomenon during wartime.

If war is a way to release collective anxiety, then rape is a way to release individual anxiety. This method involves launching an irrational, unemotional, and destructive violent attack on the other party. Of course, not everyone who has rapist thoughts has the courage to act on them, hence the emergence of various "violent rapists" who constantly use vulgar language. Some are even more pathetic, only able to curse in foreign languages over the phone, indulging in "imaginary rape."

Psychological Analysis of Rape

: From a psychological perspective, rapists have the following psychological or social characteristics:

1. Early life shows a stronger preference for the mother than the father, a broken family, or frequent sexual contact during adolescence.

2. Strong sadistic fantasies.

3. One-quarter are married, but their sexual partners rarely reach orgasm.

4. Many have criminal records for various crimes or other immoral offenses (such as exhibitionism or voyeurism).

Psychological types of rapists include:

1. Sadists, who often have violent tendencies and habitual hostility.

2. An immoral "egocentric."

3. An alcoholic, experiencing delusions and madness due to intoxication.

4. A sudden, impulsive act, resulting from setbacks in life or career, even in normally law-abiding individuals.

5. A psychopath with a split personality, committing rape without cause.

In fact, rape is not essentially a sexual act, but a phenomenon of psychological dysfunction. It is also a self-destructive, reckless act of violence committed by emotionally vulnerable and psychologically insecure individuals unable to cope with the tension, stress, and demands of daily life.

Based on the hostility and control involved in the rape, it can be divided into three categories:

1. Enrage-driven rape: The act of rape is a tool for expressing and venting personal anger. Rape usually occurs after an event of frustration, conflict, or agitation in the perpetrator.

2. Power-driven rapists: Their goal is conquest; rape allows them to regain a sense of personal security and maintain their masculinity.

3. Sadistic rapists: Sexual gratification and violence are intertwined; they seek excitement and stimulation by causing pain to their victims, deriving satisfaction from unwarranted belittling, abuse, and cursing. This is a crude manifestation of psychological abnormality.

The psychology of cultural rapists is largely the same as that of sexual rapists; only the methods and targets differ.
