Chapter Thirteen: Reunion on the Rooftop

Nothing happened that night, or rather, even if there were any notifications of new events being triggered, He Ping didn't care.

Lying on Li Yueyun's bed, He Ping couldn't fall asleep for a long time. The question from noon, "Aren't we friends?"
lingered in his mind, unable to dissipate.

"Did I... do something excessive to a friend?" He Ping asked himself. But He
Ping had no answer in his heart, because He Ping was a bit of an oddball. He had hardly any friends growing up,
and even if someone took the initiative to befriend him, he would instinctively run away. In other words, until now, He Ping
had never experienced having a friend.

"Speaking of which, what does it feel like to have a friend?" He Ping murmured again. Although he couldn't describe it,
He Ping felt uncomfortable.

With this conflicted feeling, He Ping finally fell asleep.

The next day at noon, He Ping appeared on the rooftop, still
panting. He had originally planned to buy some bread at the cafeteria before coming up. However, upon entering the cafeteria, He Ping felt as if a bunch of gleaming
blades were pointed at him. Unable to bear the atmosphere, he fled.

Closing the door behind him, He Ping leaned against it, scratching his head, and said in distress, "What to do? Lunch
is ruined ." He looked up, wanting to look at the scenery outside to ease his frustration.

At that moment, a figure came into He Ping's view. She wore a plain long-sleeved top with a
reddish-brown dress over it, holding a parasol, standing with her back to He Ping. Her posture was elegant; she seemed to be
a lady from a wealthy family.

"Yin Xu?" He Ping asked, somewhat skeptical. After all, it was impossible to equate
the with this charming and quiet woman before him, especially since she was carrying a parasol.

The girl in front of He Ping turned around as she spoke, her skirt fluttering slightly, but not enough to reveal
anything pleasing to the eye. Her face was revealed to He Ping; it was a face he knew very well,
a face he was intimately familiar with, even to the point of knowing her body intimately.

"An Ying?" He Ping was somewhat surprised, both by her sudden appearance and because he hadn't
expected to meet his previous target again.

"What's wrong? Are you unhappy to see me?" Seeing He Ping's surprised expression, An Ying asked pointedly.

"No, no, of course not," He Ping quickly shook his head and waved his hands, sounding flustered,
though he didn't know why he was so flustered.

Seeing He Ping's expression, An Ying couldn't help but chuckle softly, then smiled gently and said
tenderly , "It seems you're doing well at Li Yueyin's house."

"Ah," He Ping felt a little strange hearing An Ying mention his current target;
it felt a bit like he was having an affair.

He Ping scratched his head, stunned for a moment before finally coming to his senses, and said, "It's...it's alright."

Seeing He Ping's dazed look, An Ying couldn't help but chuckle again, then picked up the camping basket in her hand and
invited, "You probably haven't eaten yet, right? I brought a bit too much lunch today, why don't we eat together?"

"How could I..." Before He Ping could finish speaking, his stomach had already defied its master's will and
started to rumble, making He Ping extremely embarrassed.

An Ying didn't give He Ping a chance to refuse, and went directly to He Ping's side, took out a camping
blanket it out in the shade of the rooftop, and sat down elegantly on it.

An Ying placed the camping basket diagonally behind her, then patted the spot next to her and gestured to He Ping:
"Come on over."

He Ping didn't dare to refuse An Ying's warm invitation, so he quickly went over and sat down
next to An Ying.

Seeing He Ping sitting next to her, An Ying began to prepare the meal. Her slender hands gracefully
carried out the bento box, her movements elegant and pleasing to the eye.

After a short while, An Ying presented He Ping with a beautifully
presented .

Looking at the delicious food before him, Gu Xing subconsciously swallowed, seemingly unable to wait
any longer, and began to devour the food.

Seeing He Ping wolfing down her bento, An Ying smiled with satisfaction,
picked up her own bento, and slowly began to eat, bite by bite.

A while later, He Ping was full, not truly stuffed, but
certainly satisfied.

He Ping turned to look at An Ying, noticing she was eating very slowly, having only eaten about half.
Feeling the atmosphere was a little awkward, He Ping couldn't help but ask, "What do you think friends are?"

But as soon as the question left his mouth, He Ping regretted it. At this moment, he realized that his question was extremely
vague and difficult to answer. If An Ying couldn't answer, the atmosphere would undoubtedly become even more awkward.

An Ying lowered her raised hand, chewing slowly while pondering He Ping's question. After
swallowing , she said, "Friends are those who are happy when you are happy, those who are sad when you cry,
those who cheer for you when you succeed, and those who comfort you when you fail.
Friends respect you for your good qualities and will also point out your bad qualities without hesitation.
Friends won't shield you from all hardships, but they will share your joys and sorrows."

"Of course, this is just my understanding; I don't know what others think," An Ying
added .

"Your answer is quite cunning," He Ping smiled casually, then pondered for a moment, "If...
someone does something not good to someone who considers them a friend, how should that person feel?"

This was also a vague question, and only
He Ping .

An Ying also pondered for a moment, then closed the lid on her empty lunchbox and slowly said,
"I think it's sadness and regret."

"Regret...?" He Ping looked up and murmured, a slight smile playing on his lips, unsure whether he meant...
An Ying answered with satisfaction, but still managed a bitter smile.

There was a moment of silence between them before He Ping changed the subject, asking, "How did you know I'd come here?"

"What do you mean?" An Ying turned and smiled, though the smile seemed somewhat forced.

"Because I knew I'd escape… Not many people come to the rooftop," He Ping said
, noticing An Ying's strange expression. "I only remember one person, Yin Xu."

The moment the name "Yin Xu" left He Ping's lips, An Ying's smile vanished. While
not utterly disappointed, her face was expressionless.

"Yin Xu," An Ying said slowly, then nodded slightly. "That's right, it was Yin
Xu who told me."

With that, An Ying quickly put the lunchbox back into the camping basket and gathered up the camping blanket from the ground
.

"What's wrong?" He Ping was bewildered by An Ying's actions and hurriedly got up, unable to avoid her,
asking in confusion.

An Ying didn't speak, pouting as she silently walked past He Ping. After passing him,
she spoke again slowly, saying, "Tomorrow, you should still wait for your Yin Xu to come."

"Huh?" He Ping was even more confused, completely not understanding what she meant. He turned around to
ask , but An Ying had already opened the rooftop door and gone inside.

As she closed the door, An Ying's voice drifted out again: "One last thing, my mom is pregnant."
With that, the rooftop door slammed shut with a loud bang.

"Mu Gongxin is pregnant!" He Ping repeated, somewhat surprised, then scratched his head and muttered
to himself , "But why did she tell me?"

***************************

After class one afternoon, although he sensed that there seemed to be a small problem between him and An Ying,
and it was related to Yin Xu, He Ping had no choice but to bite the bullet and go to see An Ying for some reason.

He Ping slowly moved to An Ying's side and asked softly, "An Ying, are you alright?"

An Ying glanced at He Ping at the sound of his voice, then looked away and said, "I'm fine, I'm perfectly well."

"That's good," He Ping quickly nodded in agreement, then asked in a low voice, "Can I ask you for a
favor ?"

"What is it?" An Ying asked calmly.

"I... I want to see Yin Xu."

As soon as she finished speaking, An Ying stopped what she was doing. After a second of hesitation, An Ying turned around
with a kind smile and said, "Sure, but you have to tell me first what you want to see her for."

"Eh!" He Ping blinked, looked at An Ying's smiling face, and was also taken aback.
He said , "Um, can I tell her when I see her?"

"Then don't expect me to take you to see her." An Ying tilted her head and
said .

"No," He Ping said hesitantly, his voice trembling with anxiety. "I want her to help me investigate Li Yueyin
's father."

"Oh, so you've already set your sights on Li Yueyin!" An Ying said, her tone seemingly pleased
with Ping, yet tinged with a hint of wickedness.

"Wait a minute, An Ying, are you alright? You look a little strange?" He Ping looked at An Ying, feeling
a chill run , and couldn't help but ask.

"I'm fine," An Ying smiled again, speaking calmly.

He Ping fell silent, staring blankly at An Ying, unsure what to do.

Chapter Fourteen: Knowing

The atmosphere became awkward. Although the surroundings remained noisy, the silence between the two was eerily profound.

Finally, An Ying sighed, her tone returning to normal, and asked, "Why do you want to know about Li Yueyin
's father?"

"Well… I'm curious," He Ping stammered before replying.

"Curious?" An Ying scratched her head as she repeated, honestly
finding . "Speaking of which, don't you have a phone? Look it up yourself."

"I don't know Li Yueyin's father's name," He Ping replied helplessly. "I can't very well ask him directly, since he
's already passed away."

"Then why do you think Yin Xu can help you?" An Ying asked again.

"Ah..." He Ping hesitated, unsure how to answer. He couldn't very well say it was because she had collected all his
information .

After racking his brains for a while, He Ping forced himself to say, "Based on... my intuition."

"Intuition?" An Ying murmured, seemingly lost in thought, making He Ping extremely nervous.

Finally, An Ying couldn't help but tease, "They say girls have strong intuition, but you, as a boy, seem to be
just as good."

He Ping, a little embarrassed by An Ying's comment, scratched the back of his head and tentatively asked,
"You agree to take me?"

"Yes," An Ying sighed again, then nodded emphatically, "but don't
have any other thoughts about her, okay?" An Ying smiled again, a slightly mischievous smile, but
also a comforting gentleness.

********************************

The school bell rang, and the teacher left the classroom.

As He Ping packed his bag, a slap landed on his back, making him slump onto
the desk , rubbing his back.

"What are you doing! Li Yue…" The sudden slap made He Ping's displeasure explode. He turned around and
yelled at Li Yueyin sitting next to him.

His voice trailed off halfway through the yell. Beside He Ping, there was only an empty chair and
An Ying standing in front of it, waving at him. Her hand, which had been waving, seemed red.

He Ping froze, feeling the throbbing pain in his back. A thought flashed through his mind: Could she have hit him
?

He Ping quickly shook his head, dismissing the thought, and asked casually, "Where's Li Yueyin?" "

She left. She rushed out of the classroom as soon as class ended," An Ying said with a smile.

"I shouldn't have..." He Ping couldn't help but say, but seeing An Ying's somewhat creepy smile
, he couldn't continue. He changed the subject, saying, "Let's hurry up and go." With that, He Ping stood up, picked up his schoolbag,
and walked out of the classroom. An Ying followed him out.

The two walked along the corridor of the teaching building, all the way from the first floor to the seventh floor, and found Yin Xu in an
inconspicuous little classroom. The classroom wasn't big, and there were some old brooms and other odds
and ends piled up inside, making the space seem even smaller. In the center of the classroom was a desk and a swivel chair.
On the desk was a laptop, and the charging cable ran all the way to a socket in the corner of the classroom. Yin Xu was
sitting in front of the computer, looking at the screen with great interest, her fingers, barely visible, constantly typing on the keyboard.

"Whose privacy are you spying on again?" An Ying, who knew her friend very well, asked casually.

Knowing who it was just by the voice, Yin Xu immediately retorted, "I wasn't peeking; she
popped it ." With that, Yin Xu turned smugly to the two of them.

"Oh, another rare guest." Seeing He Ping arrive, Yin Xu didn't seem surprised.
She "There's no tea or drinks here; you'll have to buy them yourself."

An Ying was quite exasperated by Yin Xu's current state and apologized to the clueless
He Ping, "Sorry, Xiao Xu is a bit excited right now, so she's talking a bit casually."

"Ah, it's alright." He Ping shook his head, not minding.

"By the way, you two must have something to ask me." Yin Xu's voice rang out.

"Yes, He Ping wants you to do him a favor," An Ying replied.

"A favor?" Yin Xu seemed intrigued, turning to He Ping and saying, "Sure,
but not anything beyond my capabilities."

"Could you find information about Li Yueyin's father?" He Ping asked.

After she finished speaking, Yin Xu remained silent for a long time. Finally, she scratched her head in dissatisfaction and said, "
Are you looking down on me?"

"How could I!" He Ping quickly waved his hand in protest, starting to worry.

However, Yin Xu changed her tune, saying, "Fine, I can help you check it out." After saying that,
she turned around and started typing on the keyboard again.

"Have you ever heard the saying, 'A hundred ears hear the sound under the moon, seeking its roots in the silk'?" Just as He Ping was
puzzled by this sudden change, An Ying's voice came.

"Huh?" He Ping's mind was still a mess, and he shook his head slightly.

"The first part refers to Li Yueyin, and the second part refers to Yin Xu. Li Yueyin pursues the breadth of information, while Yin Xu focuses on the depth of
information ," An Ying patiently explained, "That's why I said your intuition was good."

"Oh, I see." Even if his mind wasn't working well, He Ping should have understood the meaning.

During their casual conversation, Yin Xu had already successfully found
all the information about Li Yueyin's father. She then turned to He Ping and called out, "Come here."

"Okay," He Ping replied, stepping forward. An Ying, curious, followed.

"To be honest," Yin Xu casually glanced at the information and commented simply, "from what I've seen
, her father's story is pretty uneventful."

"Let me see," He Ping muttered, "Li Hongtian: He bravely pushed a child out of the road, and ultimately
died in a car accident in front of his wife."

He Ping scanned the information again, trying to see if he had missed anything, but found nothing.

"That's all?" He Ping looked at Yin Xu, his face filled with disbelief.

Yin Xu nodded, stating firmly, "That's all. Nothing else."

"What's wrong? Is there a problem?" An Ying asked curiously, also glancing at the information.

"There's nothing wrong," He Ping said helplessly, seemingly disappointed.

He Ping glanced at the time on his computer and realized it was getting late. He quickly said,
"I'm leaving now, I'll be late for work," and rushed down the stairs, leaving the two beauties in the cramped
classroom.

********************

After a period of rapid running, He Ping finally arrived at the back door of the maid cafe, panting heavily.

He placed his hands on his knees, occasionally wiping the sweat that trickled down his chin with the back of his hand, and
muttered intermittently, "So...so tiring...Even...with the modifications...it's still too much...
to run ..."

It took a long time for He Ping to recover from the temporary leg pain, and the sweat on his head had
mostly dried. He Ping twisted his neck and shook his arms, trying to relax and get into a more relaxed state for work.

But as soon as he entered, the relaxed feeling he had just managed to cultivate vanished instantly. The reason was simple: He
Ping immediately saw the person he least wanted to see—Duanmu Hongying.

To be honest, it was impossible for He Ping to miss her, because Duanmu Hongying had her knife tucked into her waistband,
facing the door, coldly staring at the "skipper" who had sneaked in, as if she had come to arrest He Ping
.

"He Ping, you're late." Duanmu Hongying's voice was suppressed, as if she was trying to control her anger,
her angry eyes fixed on He Ping. "Ah..." He Ping was completely stunned

, whether from shock at being caught or from the fact that it was Duanmu Hongying who had caught him . "So you knew to come." Duanmu Hongying continued, her voice even colder, her hand already on the hilt of her knife , as if she was about to draw it at any moment. "Um... well, something came up, and I was a little late." He Ping wanted to retort, but since she had a knife, and he was in the wrong, he couldn't muster any courage. "Something came up? I think you just wanted to skip work!" After saying that, Duanmu Hongying didn't give He Ping a chance to explain , and directly drew her knife and slashed at him. Although He Ping was afraid of Duanmu Hongying, he wasn't so scared that his legs went weak. He turned around and backed away the door and walked out. "Uh!" Duanmu Hongying stared blankly as the door closed, slowly putting down the knife in her hand.

"Hongying, Hongying! What are you doing!" The shopkeeper's voice suddenly came from behind Duanmu Hongying,
sounding somewhat displeased.

Duanmu Hongying quickly sheathed her knife, turned around, and looked innocently at Jiang Ling, who was frowning, stammering and
unable to speak. It was hard to imagine that the woman who had terrified He Ping so much had become such a docile girl in front of the shopkeeper.

Jiang Ling looked her up and down, but couldn't figure it out, and urged, "Get back to work, or you'll have worked
for ."

"Okay, shopkeeper." Duanmu Hongying followed helplessly and began to work diligently.

Chapter Fifteen: A Dangerous Encounter

He Ping, who had hidden on the other side of the back door, braced himself against the door, wary of Duanmu Hongying, this vicious female demon, pushing
the door open and then slashing at his head. But after a long time, there was no movement from the other side of the door.

He Ping relaxed, leaned against the door, and slowly sat down, his breathing immediately becoming rapid.

"Damn, that was really dangerous!" He Ping murmured, feeling extremely frightened. Although
murder is illegal in this society, as anyone with common sense knows, He Ping really didn't dare to gamble. Gambling meant putting
his life in danger.

He Ping couldn't help but recall Duanmu Hongying's ferocious expression from earlier, and his displeasure immediately surged
. He muttered fiercely, "You wretched little wench, once I get to your house, I'll make sure your
body remembers me forever, and you'll understand you shouldn't mess with me!"

After saying those harsh words, He Ping felt much better and calmed down to consider his current situation. He
couldn't go back to the shop, partly because of face, and partly because of Duanmu Hongying. So what should he do? He Ping looked at the crowds coming and going in the distance, and something occurred to him. He said, "Come to think of it, it's been a long time since I've strolled around the streets
alone ." With that, He Ping started walking towards the main street. The streets were bustling with activity, a mix of men and women. Even though it was autumn, some people were still wearing short sleeves and shorts, or tank tops and skirts, offering a glimpse into the already chilly season. He Ping walked alone, seemingly unmoved by the attractive figures passing by, instead captivated by the street scenes around him. This was understandable, as He Ping had been to such lively places for a long time. Although he was briefly drawn in, his interest quickly waned. His somewhat confused mind made him quicken his pace, and he soon left the noisy area, heading off somewhere unknown. When He Ping came to his senses, he found himself in a quiet alley, an alley that felt somewhat familiar. Looking ahead, he saw a small two-story house in the distance. The house was of a certain size but not luxurious, seemingly unremarkable, yet it caught He Ping's eye . The reason was simple: it was his former home. The word "home" was both familiar and strange to He Ping. He walked slowly towards the courtyard with trepidation, standing outside and peering inside. The layout of the courtyard had n't changed much, but compared to when He Ping lived there, some vegetables had been planted there. The exterior of the house hadn't changed much either, but he could guess that the inside must have changed significantly, after all, it was someone else's home now. Looking up at the second floor, where the light was on in his former room, and a figure sat on the bed engrossed in a book, He Ping felt a surge of emotion, vaguely recalling the times he used to read alone in his room . However, those days were gone, and he couldn't change them. He Ping shook his head, sighed, and turned to leave, heading towards his current "home." ********************** However, finding Li Yueyin's home stumped He Ping, as he hadn't explored the area before, only following the path Li Yueyin had led him down. After spending some time turning left and right, asking around, He Ping finally found the path and arrived at the previous intersection. Looking at the intersection, He Ping couldn't help but recall the first day he met Gu Lan, and the figure that had flashed past him that day. "Excuse me, is there anything I can help you with?" A female voice came from the alley around the corner, her voice questioning but not fearful, and quite familiar. Of course, she was familiar, because she was the first person to instill fear in He Ping. He Ping couldn't help but lean against the wall and peek out. He saw Gu Lan carrying a vegetable basket, and four people blocking her from all four directions. They didn't look particularly strong, but they outnumbered her. Gu Lan didn't show any fear, whether because of her superhuman strength or because she was currently confused, he didn't know. She turned to look at the four men, and seeing that they didn't react, she said amicably, "Nothing, I'll be going now." With that, Gu Lan prepared to slip through the gap between the two men. "Wait a minute!" The man standing directly in front of Gulan stretched out his hand, blocking her path. "We 'd like to ask you for a favor, is that alright?" "A favor? What favor?" Gulan asked疑惑地, still a little wary. "Well, we'll tell you when we get there, okay?" the man continued, making a gentlemanly gesture to win Gulan's favor. "If you have time, could you please help, beautiful lady?" It has to be said that his manner immediately dispelled Gulan's wariness. Gulan tapped her chin with her finger and nodded, "Well, okay, there should be enough time. Where do we need to go?" "Don't worry. It's not far from here," the man said, stepping aside and making another "please" gesture, saying, "Please go first, ma'am." Gulan didn't hesitate and walked directly through the opening the man had made, with the four men following behind her. After turning two or three corners, the five people entered a somewhat dark dead-end alley. The alley wasn't large, but it was big enough for four people to stand side by side. At the end of the alley was a huge wooden box, which looked heavy, and they didn't know what it was for.

"We're here, ma'am." It was the same man speaking, his manners impeccable.

Gulan looked around; apart from a wooden crate, there was nothing else in the alley.

"What can I do to help you?" Gulan asked earnestly, without any sign of displeasure.

"Little vixen, we just want..." One of the other three seemed about to
burst out , but was immediately stopped by the man. "I apologize for my brother's rudeness," the man said politely ,

as always, regardless of whether Gulan was displeased . He then made his request, "Ma'am, we've heard you're very strong. Could you please lift that wooden crate over there?" Gulan looked at the crate again, noticing its considerable size, and asked in confusion, "Is it heavy?" "Yes, it takes four of us to lift this crate," the man explained. "Alright then." Gu Lan didn't doubt it anymore. She walked to the wooden box, put down the vegetable basket she was carrying, took a half step back with squatted down, and then placed her hands on both sides of the box, easily lifting it up. "Is it like this?" Gu Lan turned her head and asked, her face not red, seemingly still having some strength left. All four people were stunned, but the person who had been the first to react quickly came back to their senses and made a lifting gesture with both hands , reminding her in a friendly manner, "Can you lift it up?" "Oh, okay." Gu Lan turned her head, leaned the wooden box against the wall in front of her, and then quickly moved down, lifting it up just as easily. "Is this okay?" Gu Lan asked as she turned to turn around. "Beautiful lady, just stand there and don't move," the person's voice sounded behind Gu Lan, becoming a little urgent, "Just stand there and hold on for a while." "Oh." Gu Lan didn't doubt it and did as the person said. At the same time, the person also silently moved closer, stopping just centimeters away from Gu Lan's body . He leaned forward, his nose almost touching Gulan's hair, inhaling its fragrance deeply . But that didn't seem enough. The man slowly lowered his head, continuing to sniff Gulan's scent, until he reached her buttocks. The man stopped at Gulan's buttocks, staring at the beauty, and couldn't resist placing his hands there, giving it a squeeze . "Huh, what are you doing?" Gulan felt her buttocks being touched, looked down at the squatting man, and asked in confusion. The man was initially startled, thinking his intentions had been discovered, but after a moment, he realized that Gulan's tone only contained questioning, not blame, so he relaxed and said, "I'm here to give you support." "Thank you, but I can manage," Gulan said politely upon hearing the man's "kindness." "You're too kind. After all, you're the one helping me, it would be awkward for us to just stand there," the man said with a smile, giving her another squeeze with both hands, then climbing up Gulan's slender waist, reaching the top . Gulan blushed, but only because of the man's enthusiastic help, not because of the groping . After feeling the softness through her clothes, the man seemed to remember the other three people Turning his head, he said, "You guys come and help... too..." The man expected to see his three brothers eager to fight, but instead, the three of them were lying on the ground , piled up like trash. And standing next to them was an unfamiliar guy, not very tall, who looked like a student. It was undoubtedly He Ping. Although he was a little incredulous, the man suppressed his fear and said toughly, "Who are you! Do you know who I am! You hit my people, the consequences will be unimaginable!" "Who cares who you are?" For some reason, seeing the man touching Gulan made him unhappy . Completely ignoring the man's threat, he said, "Get lost, or my fist will be on you!" As he spoke, He Ping's eyes widened, and he raised his clenched fist, staring intently at the man. "Okay, okay, I'll leave, alright?" The man couldn't suppress his fear, bent down , slipped past Gu Lan, and disappeared into the alley. Gu Lan, finally noticing something amiss behind her, turned and stared at He Ping, asking curiously, "Who...who were you again?" "..." "I remember now, you're Xiao Yin's boyfriend, your name is...your name is...He Ping, right?" "Um, you got the name right, but I'm just Li Yueyin's classmate," He Ping said helplessly. But Gu Lan didn't seem to notice, asking curiously, "What are you doing here?" "I say, Auntie, you're so forgetful! You don't even know you were almost raped!" He Ping said irritably . "Oh?" Gu Lan exclaimed in surprise, slowly recalling the man's actions from earlier. She understood a little and said, "You helped me out of that predicament, thank you, He Ping." Chapter Sixteen: Subconsciously "Harming" Someone "This...it's nothing," He Ping blushed slightly, perhaps because it was the first time he'd received such a warm thank you. He quickly changed the subject, "Auntie, please put the box down quickly, it looks quite heavy." "Well, it's not actually that heavy," Gu Lan said, grabbing the edge of the wooden box with one hand and gently placing it aside with the other. She then dusted herself off, picked up a vegetable basket, and walked to He Ping's side. "Let's go back." "Um, wait a moment," He Ping said, then went straight to the wooden box, grabbed both sides, and tried to lift it up. However, He Ping used all his strength to move the box only a little bit; he really didn't know what was inside. He Ping put down the wooden box, stood there catching his breath for a few moments, and returned to Gu Lan's side with a smile saying, "It's alright now, let's go." As they walked, Gu Lan seemed to remember something and asked, "I remember you were supposed to be working today, right ? What are you doing here?" "Uh… well… um…" He Ping stammered for a long time, unable to explain himself clearly.

He probably didn't dare admit he ran away out of fear, so he changed the subject, "Auntie, do you often encounter things
like this ?"

"What things?" "Oh, you mean what happened just now? Not often, I haven't encountered it much lately."
Gu Lan pointed to her chin, then, remembering something, she said gently to He Ping, "Don't call me
Auntie, call me Auntie."

"This...is that okay?" He Ping stared at Gu Lan with incredulous eyes, unable to believe she would
try to get closer to him like this, and was a little stunned.

"Why not?" Gu Lan said casually, not taking He Ping's concern to heart,
or rather, not even thinking about it.

"Okay then, ah..." Before He Ping could say "Auntie," Gu Lan's dissatisfied eyes were fixed
on him , and she pouted, forcing He Ping to quickly change his address to "Auntie."

As they were talking, they were almost home. After Gu Lan opened the door, they were inside.
The house was empty, no one was home. Li Yueyin was at the maid cafe, but where was Li Yueyun?

He Ping turned to look at Gu Lan, who was putting away the grocery basket, and asked curiously, "Hasn't Li Yueyun come back yet?"

"You mean Xiaoyun?" Gu Lan said, "She has club activities today, she'll be back a little late, so I
'm not in a hurry to cook."

"So, why don't you watch TV for a while? I'll go clean the bathroom first." After saying that, Gu Lan went
straight to the bathroom.

"Okay, Auntie." He Ping said, then sat on the sofa and started flipping
through channels out of boredom.

Although there was sound from the TV in the living room, it felt very empty and lifeless.

He Ping didn't know how many channels he had changed, but finally a scream came from the bathroom, completely drowning out
the sound of the TV.

He Ping was startled and jumped up. His first thought was that something had happened to Gu Lan. He quickly threw the TV remote behind
him and rushed to the bathroom.

An accident did indeed occur in the bathroom, but fortunately it was only a visually appealing one, such as a completely soaked
performance. Gulan stood in the center of the bathroom, completely drenched. Her hair hung limply, and glistening water droplets slid
down , finally dripping from her chin. Gulan's clothes were also completely soaked
. What had been a loose-fitting long-sleeved top clung to her body,
outlining her perfect figure, especially her large, round breasts,
which were clearly visible if not for her bra. Her lower body was also soaked, but since she was wearing tight jeans, it was
n't noticeable.

Gulan stood there holding the showerhead, which was still dripping, as if it had just been used. At the same time,
her other hand had just been withdrawn from the valve.

Perhaps stunned by the sight before him, He Ping didn't realize how
impolite it was to stare at Gu Lan. He hurriedly asked, "Are you alright, Auntie?"

Gu Lan looked down at her soaking wet body, feeling nothing else amiss,
and said gently, "I'm fine, I just accidentally turned on the shower and got soaked."

"Oh, just got soaked..." He Ping relaxed, but then finally realized something,
and hurriedly turned around, closing his eyes, stammering, "Th-that, Auntie, I didn't
mean to !"

"He Ping, can you catch this for me?" At this moment, Gu Lan's voice sounded from behind He Ping, and she
patted his shoulder.

Confused, He Ping subconsciously turned around and saw Gu Lan grab the hem of her top with both hands
and pull it up, turning the entire top inside out, covering Gu Lan's head, exposing her flat stomach and round breasts
encased in to He Ping's eyes. This was the second time He Ping had seen it, but the first time he hadn't
been able to look at it closely at all. This time was different; he could feast his eyes.

At the same time, the event was triggered.

Without hesitation, He Ping entered the modifier, not even sure why he was so eager.

Staring at the blank panel in front of him, He Ping subconsciously clicked on the event and looked at it.

Name: Changing Clothes

; Subject: Gu Lan;

Event Description: After getting wet, Gu Lan took off her top and jeans in front of He Ping. He Ping felt embarrassed and
quickly pulled Gu Lan back to her room. After changing into dry clothes, Gu Lan went back to the bathroom and
cleaned .

After watching the entire event, He Ping's gaze locked onto the words "wet," and the
alluring body he had just seen immediately flashed through his mind.

He Ping swallowed hard, and an inexplicable impulse drove his hand to modify the screen.

Name: Changing Clothes

Subject: Gu Lan

Event Description: After getting wet, Gu Lan took off her top and jeans in front of He Ping, then
removed her underwear as well, preparing to continue cleaning. He Ping, worried that Gu Lan would catch a cold, suggested using a special method to
warm her up. Gu Lan agreed, cooperating attentively and consciously suppressing her overreaction.
After , Gu Lan finished cleaning the bathroom before returning to her room to change into new clothes.

After finishing writing, He Ping swallowed hard and clicked the "Confirm" button. It was all a gamble anyway; how much he changed seemed to make no difference
to him.

After clicking, as usual, a window popped up, saying: Are you sure you want to modify it this way?

It was a very ordinary reminder, but for some reason, after seeing this sentence, He Ping recalled
the scene of Gu Lan gently thanking him earlier, and a sense of guilt rose in his heart.

He Ping slowly lowered his raised finger, sighed, and muttered, "What was I thinking? How could I have done something
so wrong with such a good person!" He looked up, intending to click the "Cancel" button.

However, He Ping seemed to forget the concept of subconsciousness, usually born from repeated actions.
And it was this subconsciousness that caused his finger to click "Confirm" instead of "Cancel." By the time He Ping
realized what he had done , the window had disappeared.

[Wait a minute, did I just click "Confirm"?!] Belatedly realizing his mistake, He Ping looked startled and stood there dumbfounded.
After staring at it for a moment, He Ping realized what was happening and, while praying for his good fortune, looked at the description.

He had to admit, He Ping's luck was truly off the charts; even the heavens couldn't budge him any further.
Things turn around, and this time his good luck suddenly returned—the modification was successful!

Event Description: After getting wet, Gu Lan took off her shirt and jeans in front of He Ping, then
removed her underwear as well, preparing to continue cleaning. He Ping, worried that Gu Lan would catch a cold, suggested using a special method to

After , Gu Lan finished cleaning the bathroom before returning to her room to change into new clothes.

Looking at this long-awaited success, He Ping remained silent. A single success
was rare for He Ping, who had a history of multiple unlucky attempts, demonstrating just how good his luck was. But this time, He Ping couldn't
be . He had finally had a change of heart, and the system had pulled this stunt on him.

"Damn it!" He Ping, who rarely swore, couldn't hold back this time and blurted out a curse.

However, a single curse couldn't undo the damage, and He Ping was quite helpless.

Standing alone in the space, in front of the screen, He Ping was scratching his head, sometimes looking at
the content on the screen, sometimes looking at the sky, sometimes looking at the ground, as if he was struggling, or perhaps deep in thought, trying to find a solution.

After a while (I wonder if Gu Lan's hand got tired), He Ping looked up, his face pale, and shouted:
"Can I not carry out this action?"

But there was still no response in the space. However, this could be considered a good thing for He Ping,
after there's a saying: If you don't speak, I'll take it as a yes.
