Chapter 49 Being Played (Part 1)

"Damn it! I'm the newly appointed Eastern Expeditionary Guard, not a deserter!" Ge Xiaoyao shouted wildly. Only then did he realize what Ying Guang meant by what he had just said. It turned out that Ying Guang had arrested him as a deserter!

Ge Xiaoyao did not expect that his shout would immediately cause a burst of laughter. "Haha, he's the newly appointed Eastern Expeditionary Guard? Look at his pathetic appearance... He dares to call himself a guard? Haha..."

"Damn it!" Ge Xiaoyao was furious. Looking at his own attire, his clothes were tattered and his body was dirty and disheveled. He really did not look like a guard, but rather like a deserter who had been running away.

"Hmm! This is somewhat interesting..." Ying Guang said, "Since you say that you are also an Eastern Expeditionary Guard, then... I ask you, which army are you leading? Where did you set out from? Where are you currently encamped?" After saying that, he looked at Ge Xiaoyao with a smile.

"I am Ge Xiaoyao, the newly appointed Eastern Expeditionary Guard of the Great Shang's Angry Lion Army. I have come here to seize Wangye and Pinggu of the Eastern Yi. How dare you be so disrespectful!" Ge Xiaoyao roared. However, he was telling the truth; at this point, he was about to be tortured, and there was no other way but to tell the truth.

His words provoked another burst of laughter. "Angry Lion Camp? More like a sick cat camp..."

"Silence!" Ying Guang shouted, his brows furrowing as he stared intently at Ge Xiaoyao's face for a long while before asking, "Are you really Ge Xiaoyao, the Eastern Expeditionary Guard of the Angry Lion Army?"

"Nonsense, how many deserters even know about the Angry Lion Army?" Ge Xiaoyao was not one to be trifled with. Now that he had given his name, although he was temporarily trapped, he could not let his spirit be suppressed. He would not lose face!

"Hmm..." Ying Guang nodded slightly, then asked, "How many soldiers does the Angry Lion Army have? How many school guards are under the Langwei?"

"Damn it! Asking such an idiotic question!" Ge Xiaoyao cursed inwardly, but had to tell the truth aloud: many brave warriors, school guards named Han Biao, Jian Li, Ming Xian, Zeng Yi, and Yuwen Guang. "Don't you believe me now?"

"Haha... It really is General Ge. I, Ying Guang, have stumbled upon this by mistake and have offended you greatly. Please forgive me, General!" Ying Guang's face suddenly brightened, and he hurriedly stepped forward to personally untie Ge Xiaoyao. "General, with a thousand men, you intend to conquer Wangye and Pinggu strongholds. Your ambition has long impressed me. However, we have never met before. I never expected to meet you under these circumstances. I am truly unforgivable, unforgivable!"

Not wanting to hit a smiling face, Ge Xiaoyao quickly said, "General Ying Guang, you flatter me. If it weren't for your rescue just now, I, Ge Xiaoyao, would probably be dead under that witch's sword by now!" "

Hehe... It was nothing, I dare not accept such kindness..." Ying Guang said politely, ushering Ge Xiaoyao into the central command tent. He immediately ordered his soldiers to fetch Ge Xiaoyao brand-new clothes.

Another soldier brought water, and Ge Xiaoyao washed himself thoroughly, scrubbing himself until he looked like a scrubbed pig, before finally putting on his new clothes and meeting Ying Guang.

Ying Guang had already prepared a banquet in the central command tent, waiting for Ge Xiaoyao's arrival.

"Haha... General Ge is indeed dashing and debonair, a dragon among men!" Ying Guang laughed upon seeing Ge Xiaoyao. To be honest, Ge Xiaoyao did indeed have a good physique and handsome face; otherwise, how could so many women willingly offer themselves to him?

Ge Xiaoyao quickly replied, "Not at all, not at all... General Ying Guang is truly dignified and imposing!"

Both men burst into laughter. Ge Xiaoyao took his seat, and

after three cups of wine, Ying Guang said, "Brother Ge, to be honest, I've already seen your Angry Lion Army!"

"Oh? Where?" Ge Xiaoyao asked hastily. In his current view, nothing was worse than a general not being able to find his own army. He was now finally experiencing the tragedy of being a commander without troops, and even his usually inseparable companion, Yin Sanling, had been sent back and they had lost contact.

"Haha, you must be joking... Don't you know where your troops are, brother?" Ying Guang said.

"Hehe..." Ge Xiaoyao smiled awkwardly, "I'm sorry to make you laugh, Brother Ying. I went out to scout last night, but I didn't expect to run into that powerful demoness, and ended up here in a daze. To be honest, I'm lost and have no idea where I am!" "Haha

... I see!" Ying Guang said, "That's alright. Fortunately, the Angry Lion Army isn't far from here, only about three miles behind. I've already sent someone to deliver a message!" "The Angry Lion Army has set off and should arrive here in less than an hour. Then, our two armies can march side-by-side, and we won't have to worry about those sneaky vixens!"

"Thank you very much, Brother Ying!" Ge Xiaoyao hurriedly replied, inwardly cursing the woman, "Damn it! She made me run around like crazy, and I didn't even realize I was ahead of the column… and now there's not even a messenger!" He secretly wondered if he should bring two bodyguards with him in the future, but the thought quickly vanished. Ge Xiaoyao was so carefree and easygoing; he

couldn't stand having two "laughable" followers. The two chatted casually, and before they knew it, they were both slightly tipsy. Ying Guang smiled slightly and asked, "Brother, you seem like a man of strong character. I, Ying Guang, have something on my mind, but I don't know if I should say it." Ge Xiaoyao smiled and said, "

Brother Ying Guang saved my life. What can't you tell me? Just tell me, even if it means going through fire and water, I don't care!"

"Alright! I'll be frank!" Ying Guang said. "Before you entered the Yi territory, did you investigate the situation of the Eastern Yi in detail?"

"Damn it! I wanted to investigate... but who gave me the time? I just led this thousand or so broken soldiers here in a daze!" Ge Xiaoyao was secretly annoyed, but he told the truth: "I did investigate a bit, but not very carefully. I only have a map of the Eastern Yi now, and I know almost nothing else!"

Ying Guang nodded, pondered for a moment, and said, "I just heard you say that the main target of the Angry Lion Army is Wangye Peace Valley?"

"Yes! That's right... This is the decree personally issued by the King. It is said that Wangye Peace Valley is the easiest place to attack?" " Hehe..." Ge Xiaoyao said.

"Hmm..." Ying Guang's expression turned serious, and he asked again, "Brother Ge, have you offended anyone in the court? Especially those in charge of the Eastern Yi military affairs..."

Ge Xiaoyao thought carefully, then shook his head, "Damn, I was appointed as the Eastern Expeditionary Guard by the King's decree, and the next day I went to the Tiger Might Camp with this bunch of scum and troublemakers to the Eastern Yi. Apart from that Yi Liang, I don't know any of the ministers in charge of the Eastern Yi military affairs, let alone offended anyone! Although that Yi Liang is cunning, he wouldn't harm me, would he?"

Thinking of this, Ge Xiaoyao suddenly had a jolt of realization, "Damn! Could it be that Yi Liang resents me for saving Yu?" After thinking it over, Ge Xiaoyao could only think of this one thing. "But, a dignified prime minister wouldn't retaliate against me like this because of a woman, would he?"

Seeing Ge Xiaoyao shake his head and remain silent, Ying Guang was very surprised and murmured, "It shouldn't be a mistake..."

Seeing that Ying Guang's expression was not right, Ge Xiaoyao hurriedly asked, "Brother Ying, what mistake?" “

Alas!” Ying Guang sighed before saying, “To be honest, Brother Ge, you don’t know, Wangye and Pinggu are actually the two most difficult strongholds for the Eastern Yi to attack!”

Chapter 50 Being Tricked (Part 2)

“What?” This time it was Ge Xiaoyao’s turn to widen his eyes. He thought he was unlucky enough to bring more than a thousand scoundrels to fight, but he didn’t expect that the places he was going to attack were the most difficult to attack. Who wouldn’t be wide-eyed in this situation?

However, Ge Xiaoyao calmed down and said, “I wonder how these two places are so difficult to attack?”

Ying Guang smiled and said, “Brother Ge, come and take a look!” As he spoke, he stood up and took out a huge yellow silk map from behind his back.

"Damn! We're both Eastern Expeditionary Guards, so why is their treatment so much better?" Ge Xiaoyao thought about his own incredibly simple map, and then looked at this map. Even before it was opened, just looking at its size and packaging, it was far superior.

"Brother Ge, look..." With a whoosh, the map unfolded on the felt-covered ground, and Ge Xiaoyao immediately gasped! —What a detailed map this was!

Mountains, rivers, forests, fortresses, and villages were all clearly marked, and the distribution of our forces and the enemy's forces was distinguished with cinnabar and ink lines. Seeing this map and then looking at his own was like a beggar meeting royalty—one on the ground, the other in the sky, there was no comparison.

Following the winding ink lines, with Ying Guang's guidance, Ge Xiaoyao finally found his final destination: Wangye and Pinggu.

“Brother Ge, look, Wangye and Pinggu are located in the heart of the Eastern Yi region, surrounded by mountains on three sides and blocked by water on the other, making the terrain treacherous. Our frontline expeditionary force has just arrived there, but no one has dared to touch these two fortresses. The biggest difficulty isn't the terrain, but the fact that there are three siblings in Wangye and Pinggu: two city lords are the brothers, and a witch saintess is the sister… Their schemes are no less cunning than our Shang army's! Even if you only have a thousand soldiers, or even if I had fifty thousand, it would still take a lot of effort and result in heavy losses to capture these two fortresses.”

“Damn it!” Ge Xiaoyao cursed angrily, “Isn't this sending me to my death?! No, I have to go back and report to the King!”

“Hehe… Brother Ge, don't be so hasty!” Ying Guang said, “Disobeying an imperial decree is punishable by death! I think you must have offended some important person in the court to receive this impossible task. In the end, you'll die whether you fight or not! Alas…”

"Damn it...it must be that damned Ira!" Ge Xiaoyao gritted his teeth. "Damn it! But I can't just stand by and watch my thousand-plus brothers die in vain!"

"Sigh!" Ying Guang also sighed, "No matter who set the trap, this plan is extremely vicious! It's clearly a subtle way to kill, leaving no way out!"

"I'll fuck your mother Ira, you bastard, I, Ge Xiaoyao, will haunt you even as a ghost..." Ge Xiaoyao downed his drink in one gulp, but suddenly laughed, "Thank you for the reminder, Brother Ying. I'll toast you!"

Ying Guang just sighed and drank a cup of wine with Ge Xiaoyao, "That's all I can remind you of. Although I'm also a member of the Eastern Expeditionary Guard, I'm only responsible for escorting supplies. In actual combat, I can't really help you much!"

“Brother, isn’t it too formal to say such things? True friendship is revealed in life and death, and brotherhood is tested in adversity! What the hell are Wangye and Pinggu? If we can’t take them, we don’t fight them; if we can’t go back, we don’t go back! Anyway, the King has decreed that I am not subject to the control of any generals in the Eastern Expedition and can act as I please!” Ge Xiaoyao laughed.

Ying Guang also said, “Brother Ge is truly a free and magnanimous man! Let’s have another drink!”

“However,” Ge Xiaoyao chuckled, “I will need Brother Ying Guang’s help with the food supply for my Angry Lion Army in the future…”

“No problem! In a few days, the next batch of military rations will arrive, and I will deliver them to the Eastern Yi front. Brother Ge will definitely be rewarded!” Ying Guang readily agreed.

“Good! Then I thank you in advance!” Ge Xiaoyao said.

Ying Guang said, "Brother Ge, you're too kind. I've always disliked those damned officials in the court who are in charge of the Eastern Expedition. Guess what the purpose of attacking the Eastern Yi is?"

Ge Xiaoyao said, "Isn't it because the Eastern Yi are always harassing the borders of the Great Shang?"

"That's not it at all! That's pure slander! The purpose of the expedition against the Eastern Yi is simply to enslave the prisoners of war!"

"Damn! I see..." Ge Xiaoyao thought of the male and female flesh slaves in the Heavenly Paradise who were used for King Zhou's pleasure, and the rows of naked women who had been hanged and dried in the Forest of Dead Flesh, and a chill ran down his spine. "Then why are we still attacking the Eastern Yi!"

"Hehe...why?" Ying Guang laughed. "For promotion and wealth, for satisfying desires, for..."

Just then, a soldier came to report: "The general has ordered that the provisions must be delivered before noon the day after tomorrow. Anyone who misses the deadline will be executed!"

Ying Guang stood up and replied, "Understood, you can go back now!" After the soldier left, he pointed to his head and smiled bitterly, "And also, for this head!"

Ge Xiaoyao nodded. The words of this Eastern Expeditionary Guard made him understand a lot. What was the purpose of his attack on the Eastern Barbarians? In fact, when he first arrived, he was very clear in his heart that it was to protect his head.

While directing his soldiers to pack their things and prepare to set off, Ying Guang said to Ge Xiaoyao, "Brother Ge, I'm sorry, I originally wanted to travel with you, but it seems we have to go ahead this time, hehe...don't forget, you must do everything you can to protect your head!" After saying that, he strode out, and the sound of his decisive command of the soldiers to assemble and mobilize could be heard outside the tent.

One after another, the army of soldiers carrying provisions passed by Ge Xiaoyao, gradually disappearing into the distance, raising clouds of dust on the gravelly mountain road. Ge Xiaoyao was still thinking, he was fighting to save his own life, but what about these soldiers? What were they thinking… it certainly wasn't as simple as just saving their lives. At that moment, he didn't know that when Ge Xiaoyao later encountered Ying Guang again, Ying Guang was already on the verge of death, and even his medical skills couldn't save him. Many young soldiers had died with him. Only then did he see true death, death for brothers, not just saving one's own head. After that incident, Ge Xiaoyao changed a lot, and it also shaped his future path.

After being missing for a night and a half, Ge Xiaoyao returned to his Angry Lion Army. Everything was peaceful, and the soldiers' morale was much higher because the danger of being ambushed, which they had feared the most, had passed. Some soldiers even sang a folk song with indistinct, unreadable words as they walked.

Ming Xian's injuries had greatly improved. After using the antidote prepared by Ge Xiaoyao, the poison quickly dissipated, and he was now able to walk on his own. The first thing he said to Ge Xiaoyao was, "You saved my life, and from now on, my life belongs to you..."

As he said this, Ge Xiaoyao's nose stung with tears. He remembered his days in the underworld, when a brother had said the same thing. Later, he died, stabbed over seventy times, his skin torn and bleeding, already lifeless when he arrived at the hospital... That time, it was he who had pushed Ge Xiaoyao into that life-saving van, while he himself hadn't gotten in.

War belongs to men, and so does passion. It is death and bloodshed that make war so alluring. Ge Xiaoyao felt his blood slowly heating up, boiling—not the kind of passionate heat he felt while in bed with a beautiful woman, but a poignant and tragic boiling.

The army continued its slow advance. Although the guards each had their own agendas, they generally gave Ge Xiaoyao face, trying to restrain their soldiers as they headed towards the battlefield that reeked of death. The reason was simple: he had saved Mingxian. Ge Xiaoyao suddenly realized that although these soldiers were called thugs, they weren't cowards at heart, especially after you became their friend or brother. Of course, there was another point: Ge Xiaoyao hadn't told them the true situation in Wangye and Pinggu. In their hearts, it was still a rich land, filled with countless beautiful women, countless slaves with no will to resist, and where they dreamed of returning home in glory.

Chapter 51 Being Played (Part 2)

Ge Xiaoyao sometimes wondered if he was a good person or a bad guy. But he couldn't figure it out, so he simply stopped thinking about it and began to be a good guy who cared for his family and brothers.

The definition of a good person isn't broad; he didn't have much great love. The Buddha spoke of universal salvation and rebirth, but he did nothing about it. Because as long as you do something, you inevitably harm the interests of others or other things. No matter what you do, those who suffer losses because of you will call you a bad guy.

So be it!

Knowing he was trapped, knowing he'd been tricked, the story had to continue. He couldn't stop, because now it wasn't just him being tricked, but over 1,500 lives.

When Ge Xiaoyao passed through a village, he ordered it looted. Over a thousand men swarmed in, swords and spears drawn, the soldiers as excited as wolves. Clearly, this village had been plundered many times by the previous Eastern Expeditionary Army; the young men were enslaved by the Shang Dynasty, the beautiful women were used as tools for the lust of the court officials and generals, and the treasures were stuffed into their pockets. Although there was no real gain, the soldiers were excited and their morale was high. Ge Xiaoyao didn't want to do this, but he did it anyway, because they needed to save their lives, and for them to live, someone else had to die.

A woman was being tortured by dozens of soldiers, rolling on the ground and groaning. The last sack of grain belonging to a family of four was pulled out, divided into handfuls, and carried on the shoulders of the soldiers. A house was demolished, and an old woman sat in front of it, sobbing…

Ge Xiaoyao did nothing; he simply watched coldly as the soldiers vented their anger, then seemed gleeful. In times of war, people are no longer considered human; they become tools, tools exploited by war. Ge Xiaoyao had only one goal: to keep these soldiers alive, to keep them alive and jubilant, so they could charge into battle bravely and use their heads to protect his own.

Since entering Dongyi, the Shang army, like Ge Xiaoyao's, had been engaged in daily burning, killing, rape, and looting. Large numbers of men and women were enslaved and sent back to the Shang Kingdom, forced to engage in the most arduous farming and primitive industrial manufacturing. Many villages were deserted; Ge Xiaoyao and his men passed through one desolate village after another. The people had been driven deeper into the mountains.

"Reporting, General..." Ming Xian strode to the central command, flung open the tent flap, and roared. Ge Xiaoyao, who had already entered the war zone, replaced Zeng Yi as vanguard with the hot-tempered Ming Xian. With a new vanguard, the Angry Lion Army truly resembled an angry lion, charging into the Eastern Barbarians and defeating several small local armed groups in succession.

"Ming Xian, what is it?" Ge Xiaoyao was frowning as he studied a very large and detailed map, even larger and more detailed than the one he had seen at Ying Guang's place during the Eastern Expedition. He was able to obtain this map thanks to the spirit ghost Yin San, who had silently infiltrated the central command tent of a Tiger Might Army general and effortlessly acquired it.

"Damn it! Why do they have one, but I, Ge Xiaoyao, don't?!" Returning to the Angry Lion Army from Ying Guang's place, Ge Xiaoyao was sullen, determined to find a way to get his hands on one as well.

When the opportunity arose, Ge Xiaoyao was commanding his Angry Lion Army in a guerrilla war against a hundred-odd Dongyi barbarian soldiers. Just as they had the hundred-odd men cornered, the Tiger Might Army, arriving on the scene, seized the opportunity. The hundred-odd heads were hung on the belts of the enemy soldiers, a sight that made Ge Xiaoyao's blood boil.

"Damn it! Who told us we didn't have a detailed map? We're just wandering around these mountains and forests like blind men!" Ge Xiaoyao summoned Yin San and gave him a special task: to infiltrate the enemy's central command tent and take whatever he could find, but don't forget the most important item—the map.

So, the furnishings in Ge Xiaoyao's tent were replaced with a new set, including the detailed Dongyi topographical map.

"Trouble, General!" Ming Xian said.

"Damn! What trouble? Has the Tiger Might Army come knocking on our door demanding something?" Ge Xiaoyao chuckled.

Seeing Ge Xiaoyao like this, Mingxian grinned. He'd grown accustomed to this Eastern Expeditionary Guard's unpredictable temper these past few days. He'd often fly into a rage over trivial matters like what to eat for breakfast or how fast the march was going, but on the battlefield, he'd be completely oblivious, giving orders with a cheerful smile. However, Mingxian genuinely admired the young guard's ability; with just a few laughs, he'd turned his men into truly furious lions, charging fearlessly at the Eastern Barbarian army. He himself was just like that.

"No…it's that Tiger Might Army encountered a formidable enemy. Over five thousand men were trapped in a canyon, suffering heavy casualties, even the guard who led them was killed!" Mingxian said.

Hearing of the Tiger Might Army's defeat, Ge Xiaoyao asked with delight, "Which canyon?" pointing to the map in front of him.

"Is he really that happy?" Mingxian muttered to himself. He still couldn't fathom Ge Xiaoyao's temperament and style, just as he had no idea where Ge Xiaoyao had gotten so many decorations, or that battle map that only generals could possess.

"Here..." Mingxian pointed to a short curve on the map.

"Hmm..." Ge Xiaoyao nodded, pondered for a while, and then suddenly clapped his hands and said, "All troops assemble immediately to rescue the Tiger Might Army!" Mingxian breathed a

sigh of relief. It turned out that this guard really did have something important to do! Mingxian used to be a member of the Tiger Might Army, and when the Tiger Might Army was in trouble, he naturally couldn't help but want to lend a hand.

Ge Xiaoyao, however, thought differently. "Damn it, their commander is dead, so whose soldiers are they? Nonsense, whoever saves them gets them!"

But Ming Xian wasn't stupid. With only a few hundred or a thousand men from their Angry Lion Army, how could they possibly rescue several thousand Tiger Might Army soldiers? There were at least two thousand Eastern Barbarian soldiers holding those Tiger Might Army soldiers captive, and they occupied a favorable position. "General, how do we rescue them?"

"Haha..." Ge Xiaoyao chuckled mischievously. He had expected Ming Xian to ask this question; otherwise, he wouldn't be a general. These past few days, he had come to know Ming Xian better than Ming Xian himself.

"Ming Xian, immediately summon Zeng Yi, Yuwen Guang, and Han Biao for a meeting!" Ge Xiaoyao ordered.

A moment later, the four guards had gathered. Ge Xiaoyao pointed to the map that covered the entire ground and said, "Look here... If this map is accurate, those several thousand Wuwei soldiers must be surrounded here, blocked by heavy troops at both ends, with sheer cliffs on both sides. They'll be trapped and die. It seems that if we want to rescue them, the only way is to break through one end of the canyon!"

The four nodded, but they didn't understand what Ge Xiaoyao was trying to say. Fighting is easy, just charge in and kill! Why ask so many questions?

Of course, Ge Xiaoyao wouldn't talk to them about Sun Tzu's Art of War; that was his most treasured knowledge, why would he produce it so quickly... Looking at their expressions, he chuckled again and pointed to the map, "Look here!"

He pointed to an extremely thin line, almost invisible if you didn't look closely. However, any general would understand that it was a passage, and very close to where Ge Xiaoyao and his men were.

"If I'm not mistaken, the barbarian army definitely knows this road, but they would never deploy a large force here. Although they occupy advantageous terrain, in terms of numbers, they have to withstand the frenzied attack of several thousand Shang soldiers. In other words, this is their weakest point!"

When Ge Xiaoyao personally led the Angry Lion Army to the narrowest of canyons, they indeed only encountered a hundred or so men blocking their way. Of course, they quickly became easy prey for the Angry Lion Army.

"Brothers!" Ge Xiaoyao stood on high ground, looking at the more than two thousand Tiger Might Army soldiers who had just been rescued, and began another speech.

Chapter 52 Plague (Part 1)

Ge Xiaoyao's rescue of the Tiger Might Camp went surprisingly smoothly. For him, leading more than a thousand men through these vast mountains and fighting was entirely due to luck. If there was anything else, it could only be attributed to luck. A thousand men, each driving a Mercedes or BMW through a flat street, would be an absolutely spectacular sight. However, for Ge Xiaoyao and his men, relying on their own two legs, a thousand or so people in the mountains were no match for the sheer number and strength of a wolf pack.

So Ge Xiaoyao gained another two thousand brothers, who were distributed across four armies, forming relatively independent combat groups. Now, Ge Xiaoyao had become a true Langwei (a type of imperial guard), commanding a force of nearly four thousand men, only a few hundred short of a fully-equipped Langwei army.

Now, Ge Xiaoyao's foundation was much stronger, and his words carried more weight. Indeed, a powerful leader is only truly effective when he has many subordinates; what good is a commander without troops or generals, no matter how many schemes or brilliant strategies he possesses? Humans are social animals; otherwise, why would they create unnecessary chaos and disorder in society?

However, Ge Xiaoyao hadn't anticipated that his four thousand-plus men, traversing the mountains, would soon encounter trouble. This trouble didn't stem from enemy threats, insufficient supplies, or even internal strife, but from a natural disaster—a disaster he should have expected but hadn't—disease.

The humid, hot air of the mountains was oppressive, the dense forests blocking the originally fierce mountain winds, and the stench of decaying branches and leaves mixed with the stench of countless wild animal remains, permeating the air with dizzying miasma. Those traversing the mountains couldn't escape this; they had to face this new test.

Miasma, a nightmare for hikers, was mythologized in ancient times as a kind of demon.

Soldiers fell in droves, their bodies covered in festering sores, their groins oozing pus, and beriberi leaving them too weak to walk.

Ge Xiaoyao, a physician, naturally didn't believe in ghosts or monsters. However, he had no way to deal with this miasma. Firstly, he hadn't studied these things, and secondly, what he had learned was completely useless. Most of the herbs in the army were for wound healing; antidotes were scarce, and the miasma varied greatly, causing him considerable headaches.

"Damn it! If we reach Wangye and Pinggu, I'll be all alone again!" Ge Xiaoyao was at his wit's end. The only thing he could do was boil pot after pot of antidotes in the army pot, then have the soldiers soak them in linen and carry them with them, covering their mouths and noses when encountering miasma.

This method proved much more effective, but the suffering of the soldiers already infected with the miasma remained. Ge Xiaoyao had to allocate over a thousand men to carry or assist them on their marches. Although they weren't in a rush, being constantly dragged through the mountains without a fixed camp meant they were constantly threatened by wolves, snakes, and the elusive Dongyi barbarian troops, all of which could lead to their deaths.

"How did your original Tiger Might Army manage to get through this miasma?" Ge Xiaoyao called over a red-faced guard in iron armor in the main tent. This was a former guard of the Tiger Might Army, now a guard of the Angry Lion Army; his name was strange: Erli.

Erli was clearly the kind of person who only knew how to fight but not how to talk. After stammering for a long time, he still

couldn't remember what was going on, and his words came out haltingly: "No... just run! Whoever gets caught in it is doomed!" "Damn! What kind of logic is that? Does life and death depend on fate and not on heaven?!" Ge Xiaoyao exclaimed in astonishment. He simply couldn't imagine a vast army of thousands being driven away by miasma as if fleeing for their lives, with countless soldiers caught in the miasma gradually falling behind, their bodies covered in festering sores, bleeding, groaning and struggling weakly on the ground, and then dying in agony.

Angry as he was, in fact, apart from Ge Xiaoyao, the other Shang soldiers could only resign themselves to fate and run away as fast as they could when they saw the miasma. Ge Xiaoyao disdained to be like them, couldn't bear to be like them, and couldn't be like them. Everything he did was for the sake of his soldiers. "Never give up, never abandon, never leave a single brother behind!" In his days in the underworld, what Ge Xiaoyao remembered most was loyalty.

After more than ten days, the Angry Lion Army was almost becoming the Sick Lion Army, the soldiers' physical and mental strength utterly depleted. This was unprecedented. They might not have feared swords or death; on the battlefield, they would fight bravely, their blood surging with fighting spirit. However, faced with this plague and miasma, they were helpless, contracting the disease in fear and slowly dying in agony.

Not a single person deserted. At this point, no one was foolish, for they knew that leaving the ranks meant certain death, a death that could take many forms: being devoured by starving wolves, their bones chewed to pieces until nothing remained; contracting the miasma, where even ineffective medicine was no longer available, let alone anyone to help them. They might starve to death if they couldn't find food; or they might be captured by the Eastern Barbarian army, their fate unknown, for there had been no precedent for anyone surviving their capture.

They were a pack of wolves facing countless calamities, shrouded in the shadow of death every day, yet not a single wolf abandoned the pack to escape alone. One of the most important reasons was probably related to their wolf king, Ge Xiaoyao.

This was also what moved Ge Xiaoyao the most; war unites people's hearts, and so does disaster. Excellent generals are forged in the flames of war, and so are those in disaster.

There was still one person who wanted to leave, leaving resolutely, but not to escape alone. He was leaving for the lives of over four thousand people; he would take one hundred with him, and those one hundred would bring back their hope. This person was the wolf king of this pack, Ge Xiaoyao, the Eastern Expeditionary Guard.

Inside the main tent, Ge Xiaoyao gathered all his subordinate generals and announced his decision. Unsurprisingly, everyone disagreed.

"But! We cannot continue like this. If we continue, we will inevitably be annihilated. We cannot return either; that would also mean death… We can only move forward by finding a solution to the plague!" Ge Xiaoyao began to analyze the situation of the entire Angry Lion Army.

The final vote was given to his brothers, and it was unanimously approved. Only some decisions were modified on the spot. The original ten squads were increased to thirty, and the designated area was expanded nearly fivefold. All the squads were led by first-class soldiers, except for Ge Xiaoyao's squad.

Their mission was to find a way to break the miasma, whether through herbs or other means. However, they all understood that once they went out, they might never return.

No matter what, there will always be a group of people who become suicide squads, assault teams, pioneers, and enlighteners; it's just that the price of their success or failure differs, the most expensive being, of course, their lives.

The army halted its advance and set up camp, awaiting orders. Ge Xiaoyao deliberately chose a wide-open high ground. Although he currently lacked a way to break the miasma, his previous knowledge told him that this place held the least danger.

Chapter 53 Plague (Part 2)

Over a hundred people were divided into ten squads and quietly left, scattering into the mountains. Their mission was to find a way to avoid the miasma. Ge Xiaoyao led ten soldiers eastward into the most dangerous mountain range.

The verdant mountains stood tall and majestic, adorned with clusters of white blossoms, like immortals riding cranes, moving slowly. Clear streams murmured intermittently through the mountains, and silvery-white fish leaped against the current in the cold water, splashing water as brilliantly as snow.

If they weren't burdened with a mission, this would have been a delightful mountain retreat.

Ge Xiaoyao quickly grew impatient, trudging through the forest in frustration. He had to navigate many difficult paths and thorny trees blocking his way. Soon after entering the mountains, he had gathered a large quantity of herbs from the cliffs and rushing streams—red and white flowers, round and pointed leaves, thorny and thornless, with roots, stems, leaves, and flowers—as well as a dozen or so cold fish from the deep pools.

While directing his soldiers to gather herbs, Ge Xiaoyao secretly exclaimed, "Damn! This is true pristine nature! The thousand-year-old Poria cocos and hundred-year-old Blood Grass look like they were artificially cultivated!"

The Deep Pool Cold Fish was caught in a pool of water beneath the waterfall. Ge Xiaoyao had never seen such a large waterfall, nor such dark green pool water. It was truly beautiful. Ge Xiaoyao wanted to stay there and play for a whole day, taking a hundred or so of all sorts of show-off photos... Hehe...

Ge Xiaoyao sent the ten soldiers back with the herbs and the cold fish. He had specifically instructed them on how to use the herbs, and he had the soldiers copy the prescription dozens of times before sending them to gather the herbs. Whether they were useful or not, herbs would always be useful someday. The ten

soldiers returned home sullenly because they didn't want to leave their commander alone in this desolate wilderness. However, Ge Xiaoyao had given a strict order: anyone who didn't return would be considered to have disobeyed orders on the battlefield and would be executed without mercy!

"A bunch of idiots, they don't even understand what I want to do, what the hell are they following me for..." Ge Xiaoyao said angrily. What did he want to do? Naturally, he wanted to walk around alone. He was annoyed by a bunch of lackeys running around after him. This wasn't a meeting or banquet where he could show off his power; what was the point of having so many lackeys!

Ge Xiaoyao watched the soldiers disappear from his sight one by one before chuckling, reciting Jiang Ziya's incantation for walking through walls, and swaggering towards a tree.

If you saw someone staring wide-eyed straight at a tree, you'd probably guess he was crazy. If he unfortunately crashed into the tree like the rabbit in the story of "waiting for a rabbit to run into a tree stump," you'd laugh your head off, even though he wasn't Chen Jingrun, Edison, Strauss, or a workaholic. But what if he not only didn't crash into the tree, but instead calmly passed through it like air? ...

So Ge Xiaoyao recited another incantation for invisibility. He didn't want his ordinary actions to cause people to laugh, then be startled, and finally flee in terror. If it were a heart patient, he'd basically have to file a murder case. Of course, no one here would fight him, but his conscience wouldn't allow it.

"Yeah, what can I do? I'm a good person!" Ge Xiaoyao passed through another tree and walked in a straight line towards the east of the forest. He had carefully studied the map; there used to be a village there.

Perhaps some might say, "It's really that simple. It's just miasma, what's the big deal? Just ask a local Dongyi person how to avoid it and how to escape!" Although this is in the mountains, there are still some villages here, excluding those that were massacred.

"Damn! They're so stupid, they can't even think of this much, and they're leading troops into battle? They might as well go home and raise pigs..." Ge Xiaoyao wasn't stupid. Did you think the generals of the former Tiger Might Army, Tiger Ben Army, and Tiger Wolf Army were idiots? If asking them was useful, why would they be running away like their pants were on fire?

Things are often not that simple, otherwise Ge Xiaoyao wouldn't have to continue.

Let's stop here! Talking any more nonsense would be disrespectful to the readers. Brothers, leave me a comment to cheer me on, it's not easy sitting here typing at midnight!

This was a quiet little village. When Ge Xiaoyao entered, he was really startled. He couldn't see anyone around and thought that the village had been massacred by those beasts from the Tiger Might Army.

Then he realized that this was just a small village that the Tiger Might Army hadn't set foot in. Perhaps the village was too small, with only four or five households, and they had no interest in it. Maybe they just missed it by accident. In short, this little village had indeed never experienced war.

It wasn't that Ge Xiaoyao was speculating, nor was he wandering aimlessly through the village. He simply saw a woman—a woman with slightly dark skin but an exceptionally beautiful figure—washing clothes by the stream in the village.

"A woman washing clothes on the stone, a jade-faced woman by the stream, her delicate features adorned with rosy makeup. A pair of golden-toothed clogs, her feet as white as frost..." Although Ge Xiaoyao had once been a hoodlum, he was still a legitimate college graduate, and he remembered Li Bai's poem "Washing Clothes" clearly.

He stood there, watching the woman's snow-white arms, raised high, dip into the cool stream. A tuft of black hair cascaded over her shoulders, and occasionally she would lift a white garment, her pink neck and profile creating a stunningly beautiful classical image of a jade maiden.

Her movements were gentle, like her soft, jade-like hands, making absolutely no discordant sound amidst the murmuring stream.

This is why Ge Xiaoyao concluded that this small village hadn't been plundered by those beasts. In those plundered villages, such a pitiful woman would likely either be a naked corpse in the wilderness or taken forever to the distant Shang Kingdom, where she would suffer even more inhumane abuse.

"Sigh..." After a long while, Ge Xiaoyao sighed inwardly. He didn't want to do what those beasts would do, but sometimes circumstances forced him to act. For example, today he was alone. If he had brought soldiers with him, the army would immediately be in turmoil. Why? Because there was a village here that hadn't been plundered, and a beautiful woman here.

What were they doing here? They hadn't come all this way to Dongyi for sightseeing; they were here for real plunder, for real abduction and violence—in other words, blatant invasion.

Therefore, Ge Xiaoyao was in a difficult position. After all, the soldiers' emotions needed to be considered. They were all part of the Eastern Expeditionary Army, so why could they act like beasts, but they couldn't? What were they doing here then? And so, tragedy would strike again.

Ge Xiaoyao wasn't a human rights volunteer, and the Angry Lion Army had no Three Main Rules of Discipline or Eight Principles to uphold. Everything was perfectly logical and natural; he couldn't forcefully suppress it. Everyone on Earth knew the consequences of an unstable army!

So Ge Xiaoyao decided to leave and find someone who frequently went into the mountains—in fact, a hunter. Mountain people had it tough, but hunting was a survival skill for every family, something he knew very well.

Going into the mountains inevitably meant encountering miasma. Since they could live here, they must have a special method, perhaps unconsciously.

Chapter 54 Plague (Part 2)

Ge Xiaoyao decided to ignore the beautiful woman and go see the hunter. He prepared to turn and leave, but unfortunately, he looked up and saw a cloud of black and yellow smoke rising from the horizon, surging towards him with the wind.

"Damn! This miasma is really persistent!" Ge Xiaoyao prepared to escape, but where could he go? The miasma was thick and vast, and its speed was definitely no slower than his.

Suddenly, Ge Xiaoyao saw the stream and an idea struck him. He quickly ran towards the clear water.

His entry startled the woman washing clothes. She stopped what she was doing and looked at the source of the huge splash. A hint of surprise appeared on her beautiful face. She seemed to see a large fish, yet she also seemed to see nothing at all. What else could create such a large splash in the stream besides a large fish?

She naturally also saw the yellow clouds and miasma rolling across the horizon, but her expression showed no surprise, and she seemed less interested in the large splash.

The yellow clouds soon drifted over. Ge Xiaoyao took a deep breath and dived into the stream. The water was shallow, just enough to submerge him. The fish in the stream didn't seem to like this strange thing, because it looked like nothing at all, yet it felt soft and hard to the touch... So, the spot where he was diving became very lively, so lively that Ge Xiaoyao couldn't stay still, and no one could stay still either. A large group of fish was crashing into you in the water, could you resist...?

In the chaos, Ge Xiaoyao swallowed a few mouthfuls of water, then suddenly jumped up, gasping for breath, "Damn it! Jiang Ziya, why didn't you teach me some breath-holding exercises!"

A cloud of yellow mist split in two there, carried forward by the wind. The woman was still washing clothes, but this time she was even more surprised, because where the water splashed, the miasma split in two, clearly there was something there, but she looked carefully again and again, and still saw nothing!

Nothing at all? "Damn! Stop looking...stop looking..." Ge Xiaoyao thought to himself. He noticed a row of women washing clothes by the stream, all staring at him. "Wasn't there just one person? How come there are so many now...what's so interesting!..." He was stunned. The sky was gray, the mountains were gray, the water was gray, and the people were gray... Then an even bigger wave splashed up.

"Ah..." The woman washing clothes screamed, throwing her clothes into the water. She finally saw where the splash was. It wasn't a big fish, but a person lying in the stream.

So she jumped up and plunged into the water. The cool stream water soaked her clothes, and then her mermaid-like body was wet. If Ge Xiaoyao were still awake, he would definitely say, "Damn! Another beauty is wet!" That is, if he wasn't the one lying in the water, but the one watching the spectacle from the shore.

When Ge Xiaoyao woke up, he found himself lying on a soft, comfortable bed, with a faint scent of wildflowers. "Damn! How did I get here?" He tried to get up, but his head ached, so he just lay there, looking around the room.

"Hehe...this is a boudoir!" Ge Xiaoyao, being the person he was, could tell from the neat and tidy room with its colorful decorations that this must be a young lady's bedroom, and a very beautiful one at that.

"You're awake..." Ge Xiaoyao's eyes lit up as he saw the woman washing clothes by the stream and heard her soft, warm voice that sent shivers down his spine.

"Ugh..." Ge Xiaoyao tried to get up, but then lay back down, too weak to move. "Damn! This miasma is so powerful...even I've been affected! How could I, Ge Xiaoyao, be affected? This is making me lose face in front of a beautiful woman!" Ge Xiaoyao drank the medicine offered by the woman's slender, white hands, looking quite embarrassed.

The woman chuckled and said gently, "Your miasma hasn't cleared up yet, don't move around!" Her eyes were full of concern, which Ge Xiaoyao found incredibly hot. The fact that a shameless rogue like Ge Xiaoyao felt his face burning from her smile showed just how captivating she was.

Ge Xiaoyao forced a

smile and said, "Thank you for saving me, young lady!" The woman smiled again, her voice still gentle and melodious, "No need to thank me, don't speak yet..." With that, she gracefully walked away with the medicine bowl.

Ge Xiaoyao lay there smiling, remembering a passage he'd read somewhere that said smiles are contagious, and a beautiful woman's smile is far more contagious than the SARS virus. "Sigh...!"

Perhaps the bitter medicine was taking effect, for Ge Xiaoyao gradually felt a dull pain in his stomach. To be honest, he hadn't even noticed the bitterness of the medicine. In his memory, only Chu Yu had fed him medicine; the other women were basically people he had no chance with. Besides the visual appeal of beautiful women, there was also a lot of warmth involved. "Damn... what kind of medicine did she give me? My stomach is hurting more and more..." Ge Xiaoyao clutched his abdomen, unable to laugh anymore; the warmth from before had vanished completely.

Just as Ge Xiaoyao couldn't help but groan, the beautiful woman reappeared. She was still graceful and smiling, but this time she wasn't holding a medicine bowl; instead, she was holding a rough earthenware pot.

"Ugh... uh..." For some reason, Ge Xiaoyao started vomiting as soon as he saw the pot, vomiting large amounts of foul-smelling, sticky fluid until his stomach felt completely empty. Only then did he regain his senses and see the woman's still beautiful smile.

Ge Xiaoyao was truly moved. "It must have been so hard for her, such a clean girl!" To be honest, the stuff smelled terrible; even he himself frowned, showing no sign of discomfort. “A fairy…”

The woman took away the earthenware pot and returned, still smiling. “My name is Ai Yao. You can call me Xiao Yao, just like Grandpa!”

Ge Xiaoyao finally called out, “Xiao Yao…” The woman still smiled. “What’s your name?”

“My name is Ge Xiaoyao.” Ge Xiaoyao confessed almost unconsciously, only to suddenly realize his mistake afterward. But then he felt relieved. “To die under a peony is to die a romantic death… Damn it, I finally know my weakness. Next time, if I’m captured, I must warn those people not to use whips, knives, tiger benches, or chili water. Just get a beautiful woman to treat me well, and I’ll tell them everything…”

Xiao Yao, of course, was unaware of Ge Xiaoyao’s inner thoughts. She gracefully walked out again and returned a short while later with a bowl of porridge, feeding him spoonful by spoonful.

The entire feeding time felt like a dream to Ge Xiaoyao. Although the food smelled delicious, it couldn't mask the faint sweetness emanating from her. Looking at her snow-white arms, her smiling face, and the curve of her chest rising and falling so close to him, he suddenly thought of Chu Yu.

"Ah, why are you hiding in the water?" Xiao Yao put down her bowl, her pure, innocent eyes smiling.

Ge Xiaoyao smiled weakly. He really didn't want to say that he had gone into the water to escape the miasma and peek at beautiful women. It was both shameful and embarrassing, and might even arouse their suspicion, leading to his death. His status as a Shang army general might have been revered by the people of the Shang Dynasty, but in the Eastern Yi, everyone wanted nothing more than to skin him alive, gut him, and boil him into soup for the dogs.

Xiao Yao suddenly let out a mischievous giggle, "I know! You must have gone to the river to catch fish like Xiao Huang! You must have! I think I saw a big fish there!"

Ge Xiaoyao smiled, thinking how naive she really was. "Still a little girl!" Ge Xiaoyao laughed, "Who's Xiao Huang?"

"Xiao Huang is Xiao Huang... It was also poisoned by miasma, and I gave it medicine and fed it, and it got better..." As she said this, a blush appeared on Xiao Yao's face, "It's so good to me, it sleeps with me every night..."

Ge Xiaoyao couldn't help but envy the Xiao Huang she was talking about, imagining that she could also receive the same treatment as Xiao Huang, sleeping with her...

Xiao Yao then went to the window and called, "Xiao Huang, Xiao Huang, come here!" "Meow meow..." Two meows came from outside.

Ge Xiaoyao smiled wryly. So the Xiao Huang she was talking about was just a cat! This girl was so innocently cute, how could she compare a person to a cat? But even if it was a cat, it didn't matter, this kind of good fortune wasn't something ordinary people could enjoy! Hehe…

“Whoosh—” followed by Xiao Yao’s agonizing scream.

It was the sound of an arrow slicing through the air, and it was definitely a Shang army arrow. Only Shang army arrows could reach such speed and make such a whistling sound. He was startled and forced himself to lunge at the screaming Xiao Yao, pulling her back to the bedside. At this moment, rough curses could be heard outside.

“Damn it… how come it’s just a cat? I just heard a girl’s voice!”

“Come on, let’s go in and see!”

Chapter 55 Beast (Part 1)

Xiao Yao hid in Ge Xiaoyao’s arms like a kitten, looking out the window in terror. She

had already heard Xiao Huang’s cry; an arrow had accurately pierced its throat, and blood flowed out, as red as human blood.

The laughter and curses outside grew closer and closer; it was clear that there were two people.

“Damn it! Damn it…” Ge Xiaoyao cursed under his breath. He knew they were Shang soldiers, but he didn’t know when they had arrived in this village or how many of them were there. He knew all too well that these people weren't his Angry Lion Army, and even if they were searching for his brothers, they would never slaughter them indiscriminately without his orders.

Even though it was just a cat.

The door banged open, and two men dressed in Shang army uniforms, wielding bows, arrows, and longswords, rushed in. They were shocked by the scene inside.

The bed was a mess, and a muscular man with a bare upper body lay on it, panting heavily. Beneath him was a disheveled Dongyi woman…

Everyone understood what was happening. The two men chuckled, but then they noticed something else: a longsword engraved with a roaring tiger's head—the insignia of all Shang army officers of the rank of Langwei and above.

Their faces paled. They exchanged a glance, quietly retreated, and then ran for their lives. Only after disappearing into the distant woods did they regain their composure. One exclaimed, "That scared me to death... those damn Tiger Might Army soldiers are still nearby!"

"Yeah... looks like we have to run fast to get back to Da Shang! But it's such a pity about that beautiful young woman, he's taken her..." another added.

The first one cursed, "Damn it, what time is it and he's still thinking about women! Don't you know you'll be beheaded if you get caught?"

“Something’s not right. Judging by his knife, he should be a high-ranking official, but why haven’t we encountered any other soldiers?” one of them shook his head.

Ge Xiaoyao climbed off Xiao Yao and let out a long sigh. “It’s alright! Two deserters…”

On the bed, two lines of tears were already streaming down Xiao Yao’s face.

“Slap!” Ge Xiaoyao’s left cheek stung. “Xiao Yao…”

She stared blankly at the hand she had just slapped, then suddenly burst into tears and threw herself into Ge Xiaoyao’s arms.

“Who are you?” Xiao Yao clung to Ge Xiaoyao’s arm.

“I’m your little kitten…” Ge Xiaoyao said.

Xiao Yao’s eyes reddened again, and Ge Xiaoyao quickly comforted her, “It’s alright, I’ll avenge Xiao Huang!”

“Who are they?” Xiao Yao asked again.

“I don’t know,” Ge Xiaoyao shook his head, “but they’re afraid of me. With me here, they won’t dare to do anything reckless! Otherwise, I’ll kill them!”

“Will you protect me?” Xiao Yao looked up and asked.

“Yes, I will!” Ge Xiaoyao nodded, thinking of Chu Yu again.

“Then aren’t you leaving?” Xiao Yao asked again.

Ge Xiaoyao was momentarily at a loss for words, and after a long pause, he finally said, "Come... come with me!"

Xiaoyao sighed, "My grandfather hasn't returned yet!"

Ge Xiaoyao asked, "Where did your grandfather go?"

"He went to gather herbs. The miasma has been very bad lately, and our old sachets aren't working very well anymore." Xiaoyao pulled a thin red string from her pink chest, with a large red brocade pouch tied to it. Whether it was from her body or something that was already there, it emitted a very special fragrance.

"Can this cure the miasma?" Ge Xiaoyao played with the sachet, inhaling its faint fragrance.

"Our ancestors have worn these for generations, and none of us have ever been affected by the miasma," Xiaoyao said.

Ge Xiaoyao's heart stirred. "Do you know how to make this sachet?"

Xiaoyao shook her head. "In this village, only my grandfather knows how to make it..."

Ge Xiaoyao nodded. "When will your grandfather return?"

Xiaoyao shook her head again, a look of confusion on her face.

With a whoosh, Ge Xiaoyao tackled Xiao Yao to the bed, the arrow whizzing past his ear before embedding itself deep in the wall.

The sharp cry from before echoed outside. "Hey kid, come out! I know you're in there!"

"Damn! I almost died! Who's this guy? He doesn't even warn me before shooting targets..." Ge Xiaoyao, now wielding his long sword, shielded Xiao Yao behind the bed and inching his way towards the window, hugging the wall.

"Brothers, capture this philandering guard alive! Then we won't get caught when we get home!" a voice shouted, followed by a cacophony of footsteps approaching.

"You?" Xiao Yao stared at Ge Xiaoyao, her once rosy face turning pale with fear.

Ge Xiaoyao felt a pang of pain in his heart. "It's alright, Xiaoyao, I'll protect you!" However, a suspicion arose in his mind. "Damn it, it seems there are quite a few deserters. Why are they back?"

Just now, Ge Xiaoyao deliberately placed his long sword in a conspicuous place, using his status to scare away two deserters. Soldiers naturally fear their generals, so those two fled far away. However, it was this long sword that led them to bring back more deserters, who wanted to kidnap him and take him back to Da Shang.

"Wait... I promise you, you are now the central army of the Angry Lion Army. I'm sending you back to Da Shang to report on the battle situation. Here, this is my token!" Ge Xiaoyao took out a small bronze lion token from his pocket and threw it out. The token bore the Angry Lion Army's designation and Ge Xiaoyao's name.

According to the Shang army's regulations, Ge Xiaoyao's Angry Lion Army was not subject to the control of any general, so he was the supreme commander of this army and had the right to make his own unique token. He had made ten of these lion tokens, which he would never use unless absolutely necessary. Although they were deserters, they hadn't indiscriminately killed innocent people, so Ge Xiaoyao intended to spare their lives.

The Shang army captain picked up the token, chuckled, and put it in his pocket, raising his hand and saying, "Thank you, General Shi! However, we brothers have a favor to ask..."

"Spit it out!" Ge Xiaoyao said.

"We brothers have taken a liking to that little girl inside. Would you mind letting her out for us to enjoy?" The captain grinned lewdly.

Ge Xiaoyao was instantly enraged. "Damn it! You bunch of beasts!"

"He called us beasts..." The deserters burst into laughter. "Don't think you're anything special. Since coming to Dongyi, who hasn't done burning, killing, looting, and raping women! And you call us beasts... Hahaha... Brothers, he's all alone. Charge in and kill him!"

"Kill him, and that pretty little girl will be ours..."

Amidst the lewd laughter, footsteps became chaotic, and the wooden stake wall outside the courtyard collapsed with a crash.

"Wait! What are you doing!" A hoarse voice rang out, and the deserters stopped abruptly.

A tall, elderly man in plain clothes, carrying a medicine basket on his back, appeared outside the courtyard.

Upon seeing that it was an old man with white hair and beard, the captain cursed, "You old geezer, you'd better stay far away! Blocking our way, you'll suffer a terrible death!"

"Beast!" the old man cursed. "Get out of here, all of you!"

"Heh heh... let's see if you get out or we get out! Brothers, chop this old man up first!" The captain grinned maliciously and led three deserters straight at the old man, quickly knocking him to the ground.

"Hehe..." The captain held his knife to the old man's neck and shouted into the house, "Lord Langwei, didn't you call us beasts? Let's see why you're not a beast yourself. If you have the guts, come out..."

"Grandpa!" Xiao Yao cried out, pushing Ge Xiaoyao away and trying to rush out, but Ge Xiaoyao held her tightly, unable to move. Tears fell drop by drop, wetting Ge Xiaoyao's arm.

"Damn it, how could this happen!" Ge Xiaoyao cursed inwardly, his hand holding the long knife trembling twice.

"You fucking come out here! Haha, what, you're too scared? It's just... is it worth ruining our brotherhood for two Eastern barbarians?"

"Go to hell, if I'm your brother, wouldn't I be a beast!" Ge Xiaoyao rushed out, and two burly men immediately rushed towards him with knives raised.

With a clang, Ge Xiaoyao's blade blocked the two large swords that came slashing down at him. He staggered back several steps, panting heavily. He had just expelled the miasma poison from his body and was extremely weak. That last strike had exhausted most of his strength.

"Haha... I thought this General Lang Wei was some formidable character, but he's just a sick cat! Brothers, don't kill him. Let him watch us enjoy ourselves!" Seeing Ge Xiaoyao's frail appearance, the captain laughed again, eliciting a chorus of laughter from the deserters.

"Damn it!" Ge Xiaoyao forced himself to raise his sword. "I'll fight you to the death!"

However, his body was far too weak. Normally, these deserters would be no match for him. But now, he didn't even have the strength to lift his sword.

The two deserters easily parried his blade, and then their fists and feet rained down on Ge Xiaoyao like a storm. Ge Xiaoyao, eyes tightly shut, hands covering his head, rolled on the ground, kicked and shoved by the deserters.

"Grandpa... Brother Ge..." a sweet cry rang out as Xiao Yao rushed out of the house, only to be caught by the sergeant who was about to rush in

.
Chapter 56 Beasts (Part 2)

What is the greatest pain for humans? Some say: helplessness…

Ge Xiaoyao heard Xiao Yao's terrified screams and the lewd laughter of that beastly captain, but he couldn't stand up. A foot was still pressing down on him, and even with all his strength, he couldn't break free. Xiao Yao's grandfather cursed and then screamed in agony. Ge Xiaoyao knew he had also been brutally beaten.

"Beasts! Kill me!" Xiao Yao's grandfather cried out in despair.

"You old bastard, dream on!" A deserter added another kick. "If we kill you, who will watch our show?" The old man groaned, but didn't utter a sound.

Ge Xiaoyao's heart ached, as if pierced by steel needles. Xiao Yao's screams, the deserter's lewd laughter, and the ear-piercing sound of clothes being torn were like knives stabbing his heart, blood trickling out bit by bit...

Xiao Yao struggled desperately, screaming, her snow-white body already mostly exposed, a pair of rough, calloused hands roughly kneading her. The sergeant chuckled lewdly, pushed her to the ground, and pounced on her, his thick thighs violently spreading her slender, beautiful legs... (1000 words omitted here!)

"I'll curse your ancestors for eighteen generations!" Ge Xiaoyao suddenly jumped up, kicking the deserter who was pinning him down, grabbing the long knife that had fallen to the ground, and roaring as he plunged it into the deserter's chest.

Bright red blood spurted out, and the deserter, before he could react, stared wide-eyed at the long knife stuck in his chest, struggled a couple of times, and then lay still.

Everyone was stunned, even the lewd sergeant was dumbfounded. "Damn it!" He finally snapped out of his daze, shoved the woman in his arms aside, and charged at Ge Xiaoyao with his broadsword raised.

Ge Xiaoyao, covered in blood, knelt before the corpse, his hands still gripping the hilt of his sword. He no longer had the strength to pull the sword out; that kick and that strike had exhausted all his strength. He could hear the captain's angry curses, his footsteps, and the whistling sound of the broadsword cutting through the air. He closed his eyes… "Xiaoyao… I did my best!"

"Miasma!" someone shouted in terror. The captain, who was about to kill Ge Xiaoyao, suddenly stopped, looked around, and yelled, "Run!" Forgetting about killing Ge Xiaoyao, he turned and ran away, sword in hand.

The deserters panicked, abandoning the old man and Xiaoyao, and followed the captain in a desperate flight.

Ge Xiaoyao opened his eyes, but he couldn't see anything. A heavy miasma filled the air, and slowly, he fainted.

"Brother Ge... Ge Xiaoyao! Grandpa... please save him, save him!"

When Ge Xiaoyao regained consciousness, he heard Xiao Yao crying and the old man's long sigh.

"Yao'er, it's not that Grandpa doesn't want to save him, but whether he wakes up or not depends on his fate!" the old man said.

"Brother Ge..." Xiao Yao began to sob again.

Ge Xiaoyao felt a strange surge of emotion. He finally gathered a little strength and slowly opened his eyes, calling out, "Xiao Yao..."

Xiao Yao's eyes were red, and a few glistening tears clung to her cheeks. Seeing Ge Xiaoyao wake up, she rushed forward and grabbed his hand, anxiously calling out, "Brother Ge..." Tears streamed down her face again.

Ge Xiaoyao wanted to raise his hand to wipe away her tears, but he was too weak to move. He could only tremble and force a smile.

The old man let out a long sigh and said to Xiao Yao, "Xiao Yao, he's alright now. Let him rest. Come out with me for a moment!"

Xiao Yao looked at her grandfather, then at Ge Xiaoyao.

Ge Xiaoyao forced a smile at her, but he was too weak to continue and slowly closed his eyes.

Only then did Xiao Yao release his hand and follow the old man out.

After a long while, Ge Xiaoyao sighed softly. He knew what the old man would say to Xiao Yao, and he knew she would be in a difficult position. What should he do now? Should he leave quietly, or should he stay? No one told him the answer, and he didn't need anyone to tell him…

By the stream, the white-haired old man gazed at the gently flowing water, silent. What was he thinking? No one could guess.

After a long while, Xiao Yao softly called out, "Grandpa!"

He sighed slightly and asked, "Xiao Yao, are you really sure?"

"Yes..."

The old man's beard trembled noticeably, revealing his inner turmoil: "They are the Shang army! They are a bunch of beasts! Do you know that?..." His eyes were fixed on the river, filled with deep hatred, "Do you know how many of us they killed? So many of our girls were violated by them, so many of us were captured and enslaved! So many of our houses were burned down, so much grain was stolen... They, they didn't even spare the children and the elderly!"

"No! Grandpa..." Xiao Yao's eyes filled with tears, "He wasn't! He saved us!"

"Yes!" The old man sighed, "He saved us, but we also saved him... Let him go, Xiao Yao!"

"No..." Tears streamed down her beautiful face as Xiao Yao murmured, "No... He wasn't a beast, he wasn't an animal, he wasn't like them... He wasn't!"

“Yao’er,” the old man said, “even if he isn’t, can he control his men? Since he came here, he’s here to burn, kill, rape, and plunder. Can he not do those things? Alas! He’ll be our enemy sooner or later…”

“I’ll persuade him to leave the Shang army and stay…” Xiao Yao suddenly said.

The old man shook his head, “He won’t… I’ve seen his eye; he’s a man destined for greatness. He definitely won’t stay here!”

“No, I don’t believe it!” Xiao Yao said, “Grandpa, wait for me here, I’ll go persuade him!” With that, she turned and ran.

“Xiao Yao…” The old man watched his granddaughter’s beautiful back and sighed helplessly.

“Brother Ge…” Xiao Yao hurried back home, pushed open the door, and was shocked to find that the bed where Ge Xiaoyao had been lying was empty. Ge Xiaoyao had disappeared!

Xiao Yao became anxious and searched everywhere, but there was no sign of Ge Xiaoyao. “Grandpa… Brother Ge…”

Hearing Xiao Yao’s urgent cry, the old man hurried over. “Yao’er, what’s wrong?”

“Brother Ge is missing!” Xiao Yao cried out anxiously.

“How could that be?” the old man said. “Even if he recovered, he wouldn’t have recovered this quickly. He couldn’t have gone far. Let’s split up and search!”

After a while, the two of them returned. “Grandpa, could Brother Ge have been kidnapped?” Xiao Yao was so anxious she was about to cry.

“He shouldn’t be!” the old man said, scanning the surroundings. “There are no signs of anyone else being here!”

“Then where did he go?” Xiao Yao stamped her foot. “Grandpa…”

A chill ran through the old man’s heart as he looked towards the back of the house. “Could it be…”

Xiao Yao also panicked and cried out, “No, Brother Ge wouldn’t have gone there!” As she said this, she ran quickly towards the back of the house.

It was a cliff, a cliff that no one dared to approach. The misty purple fog finally drifted up from below, but the wind couldn’t disperse it. It just gathered there, looking like a miracle from afar.

Legend has it that a black dragon dwells in the deep ravine below this cliff, and the purple mist is formed from its breath. However, no one has ever seen what the black dragon looks like, because no one has ever gone down into the ravine, or rather, those who have gone down have never come back up.

Xiao Yao clutched a corner of her clothes tightly in her hand, staring blankly at the churning, refusing-to-disperse purple mist, murmuring, "No, Brother Ge won't jump down!"

"No...you won't die..." she suddenly screamed, and like a madwoman, she lunged towards the deep ravine.

"Xiao Yao!" The old man held her tightly in his arms, looking at his granddaughter with heartache. He understood that his granddaughter, who had been proud and aloof since childhood, had finally fallen in love. However, she had fallen for Ge Xiaoyao, a general in the Shang army, one of the better beasts among a group of beasts!

"Heavens!" The old man held Xiao Yao tightly, but she still struggled in his arms. "Heavens! How could you treat my Yao'er like this?"

Xiao Yao's emotions finally calmed down, and she stopped struggling to rush into the ravine, but her eyes became dull and lifeless. She stared blankly at the rising purple mist, lost in thought. After a long time, she softly said, "Grandpa...let's go back!"

The old man sighed, helped Xiao Yao turn around and walk step by step towards the house. In her hand, Xiao Yao still tightly clutched the hem of her clothes.

They naturally didn't see it; not far from the purple mist, a single evergreen blade of grass swayed gently twice.

Chapter 57 Beast (Part 2)

The purple mist still rose from the deep ravine. Ge Xiaoyao, who had already become invisible, lay exhausted on the ground, panting heavily. In his hand, he tightly clutched a red sachet.

He had crawled out of the house using invisibility magic. He saw Xiaoyao's anxious expression, and he saw the two of them, grandmother and granddaughter, frantically searching for him. But he couldn't make a sound. He used all his strength to run towards the deserted back of the house until he staggered to the edge of the bottomless cliff.

When Xiaoyao cried out in anguish and struggled to jump, he really wanted to stand up and say, "Xiaoyao, I'm here!"

But he held back, his lips pressed tightly together. "Xiaoyao, I'm sorry, we really can't be together!"

Ge Xiaoyao's strength slowly returned. He stumbled to his feet and walked down the mountain. Now that his mission was complete, he knew the mountain people relied on these sachets to ward off miasma. Taking them back to study the medicinal ingredients and then replicating them thousands of times was no difficult task for someone with his background as a physician.

This was a mountainous region, sparsely populated. Ge Xiaoyao discerned his direction and continued forward, naturally unnoticed. He suddenly realized that this invisibility technique was a good way to escape, as long as he didn't encounter experts like the Nightingale Maiden and the Black-Clad Saintess again.

Night fell earlier in the deep mountains than on the plains. The sun was barely visible at the foot of the mountains before it became pitch black in an instant. Countless birds began to return to their nests where they could spend the night, and the howling wolves began their songs. After their songs, he would go off to hunt.

The moon slowly rose, illuminating the leaves in the trees. Ge Xiaoyao walked and stopped intermittently. Perhaps because the toxins in his body hadn't been completely eliminated, he was still weak. Often, the energy he had accumulated over half a day would be completely exhausted after walking only a short distance.

"Mmm... Ah!" The woman's screams and cries were carried by the mountain wind, occasionally interspersed with a few lewd laughs.

"Xiao Yao..." Ge Xiaoyao's consciousness was somewhat blurred, but the strong mountain wind brought him back to his senses. "I wonder who's been victimized again!" He gave a bitter laugh. "Damn it, we really are a bunch of beasts, a bunch of animals!"

Ge Xiaoyao stumbled to his feet and followed the direction of the sound.

When he arrived at the house where the lights were still on, the scene before him made his blood boil. "Damn it! Beasts, a bunch of animals!" Ge Xiaoyao wanted to curse the heavens, but he couldn't utter a sound.

The perpetrators had left, and only a snow-white naked body stood before the house, appearing deathly pale in the moonlight. Her eyes were wide open, gazing at the heavens with resentment, her pupils, devoid of light, filled with boundless resentment and hatred...

Ge Xiaoyao fainted again. The long walk had exhausted all his strength, and the scene before him was so shocking. He lay on his back on the ground, the image of himself tacitly allowing his soldiers to rape Dongyi women flashing through his mind again. That Dongyi woman, too, had that same boundless resentment and hatred in her eyes.

"Haha… I'm a beast too, we're a bunch of beasts, a bunch of savages from the Shang Kingdom, and I'm one of them!" After laughing inwardly, Ge Xiaoyao was overcome with extreme sorrow.

A thought rose in his mind, "Am I a bad person?" he asked himself.

"No…" he answered himself.

"Then why did I do so many bad things?"

"I was forced!"

It's hard to be a good person, it's even harder to be a bad person, it's hard to go from evil to good, it's even harder to go from good to evil, "Who wants to be a bad person? Aren't we all forced? By whom? By evil people, by fate?… By ourselves?"

Ge Xiaoyao's mind began to swirl, a jumble of complex and chaotic thoughts intertwined, impossible to unravel.

"Was I wrong to save Chu Yu?"

"No!"

"Was I wrong to become a guard for the Eastern Expedition to save my own life?"

"No!"

In the martial world, one is often not in control of one's own destiny! To remain untainted by the mud—is that easier said than done?! Ge Xiaoyao fell asleep. He was too tired, not only physically but also mentally. He truly had no strength left to keep his eyelids open… …

In

his hazy state, Ge Xiaoyao heard footsteps, then felt a chill creeping up his neck. He knew it was a sword, a gleaming sword, already pointed at his throat.

"It's that lecherous thief again! Holy Maiden, I'll kill him!" A shrill female voice—Ge Xiaoyao recognized it as Ying Nu's voice.

"Damn it! What a small world! Why did I run into them again?" Ge Xiaoyao lamented inwardly. "Is it really fate that I'm going to die in this desolate wilderness?"

Just then, the black-clad saintess's voice said, "Wait!" A brief silence followed. "Ying'er, he saved my life!"

"But he's a beast..." Ying'er said, her voice trembling with tears, "Look at her... she died with her eyes wide open!"

Ge Xiaoyao wanted to shout, "I didn't do it!" But he held back. He knew that explaining anything now was useless. Whether he was responsible for the naked, wounded female corpse or not was no longer important. He was one of them...

"This couldn't have been done by him. He wouldn't do such a thing, otherwise, on that day..." The black-clad saintess paused here.

"Holy Maiden!" Ying'er exclaimed urgently, "Even if it wasn't him, it was his subordinates, his army! They're a bunch of beasts!"

The black-clad Holy Maiden murmured, "But...but, I really didn't expect him to be a guard of the Shang army!"

"That's right, Holy Maiden...if we don't kill him now, he'll definitely do many more evil deeds! Because he's our enemy!"

"Enemy?..." The black-clad Holy Maiden murmured, finally nodding slowly!

Ying'er swung her sword, a sharp, dark blue sword light drawing a perfect arc in mid-air, slashing towards Ge Xiaoyao's neck.

"It's over..." Ge Xiaoyao sighed inwardly, suddenly feeling a sense of relief.

"Wait, Ying'er!" the black-clad Holy Maiden urged.

Ying'er's sword light suddenly stopped at Ge Xiaoyao's neck, "What is it now, Holy Maiden..." Ying'er stamped her foot, but the tip of her sword didn't leave Ge Xiaoyao even an inch.

The black-clad saintess sighed softly and said quietly, "He did save me after all, so let's give him a proper burial!"

Yingnu nodded silently and said, "There's a cliff over there..." But then she kicked Ge Xiaoyao hard, "I'm still afraid of sullying my sword!"

A flash of eerie blue sword light streaked across the sky, leaving Ying Nu's hands empty. Sheathing her sword, she raised her hands, making the same strange and complex gesture. Then, Ge Xiaoyao felt a wave of dizziness, and his body plummeted straight down.

"Don't look, Holy Maiden, let's go!" Ge Xiaoyao heard their footsteps receding above.

The wind whistled past his ears as he plummeted like a fruit falling from a tree. He suddenly opened his eyes and found himself enveloped in a thick purple mist.

Realizing he had been thrown off a cliff, Ge Xiaoyao suddenly understood everything. Ying Nu's words had reminded him, "Yes, because he is our enemy!"

Everything was simple; there was no right or wrong, because they were enemies! People in war can no longer be called human; they should be called killing machines, or beasts.

Abandoning humanity, acting according to animalistic principles, killing countless people for money, status, and survival; indulging in debauchery and sadism to satisfy lust; even cannibalizing one's own kind to fill one's stomach! The strong rule, survival of the fittest; there is no good or evil, no right or wrong—this is the true essence of war!

Ge Xiaoyao suddenly felt a strange sorrow. Why is it that people only understand everything when they die? The wind howled in his ears, the purple mist before him remained thick and impenetrable. He closed his eyes tightly, anticipating…

anticipating what? Anticipating that muffled thud, anticipating the instant pain of his body hitting the ground, anticipating reuniting with Chu Yu and Xiao Yao in the next life…

How wonderful that would be! Then, they would no longer be tormented by fate, no longer be irreconcilable enemies, no longer suffer so much pain and helplessness…

The wind still howled past his ears…

Chapter 58 Purple Mist Abyss (Part 1)

“What… Purple Mist Abyss?” the black-clad saintess exclaimed.

On the soft couch, a stunningly beautiful middle-aged woman reclined casually, her silk robe unable to conceal her alluring figure, forming a beautiful, silky curve. She nodded slightly, speaking in a languid yet seductive voice, "Yes! That's the place every Holy Maiden must go... You pass through the Forest of Enchantment, and in the middle of Sleeping Maiden Peak, there's a mountain crevice also shrouded in purple mist; that's the entrance to the Purple Mist Abyss."

"I must go there? What for?" the black-clad Holy Maiden asked, puzzled.

"You'll understand when you get there. Only there can you obtain what a Holy Maiden possesses; only there can you wash away the dust from your body and become a true Holy Maiden!" the middle-aged woman said.

"Purple mist... abyss..." the black-clad Holy Maiden suddenly remembered something, "Elder, is the Purple Mist Abyss the cliff and ravine below Solitary Finger Peak, perpetually shrouded in purple mist?" The

middle-aged woman replied, "Yes, that's it. Have you been there?" Her languid and seductive voice held a sharp edge, a bewitching sound that jolted the listener awake.

"No!" The black-clad saintess hurriedly shook her head, "I just heard a rumor that there's a black dragon there..."

"Duo Mei..." The middle-aged woman's gentle gaze held a hint of reproach, "You must remember, you are the saintess, our future hope... You absolutely cannot listen to what others say!"

"Elder, Duo Mei understands!" the black-clad saintess said, obedient like a little girl following her mother's teachings.

The middle-aged woman then smiled charmingly, "That's good, it's getting late, you can go now!"

"Okay, Duo Mei is going..." The black-clad saintess turned to leave.

"Wait..." the middle-aged woman said, reaching out her snow-white hand to retrieve a roll of yellow silk from under her pillow. "This yellow silk marks the first place you must go in the Purple Mist Abyss. You will find the same yellow silk there, which will give you new instructions! However, you must remember, if you do not do what is marked on the yellow silk after entering the Purple Mist Abyss, you will never return!"

The black-clad saintess respectfully took the yellow silk from her hand. "Duo Mei understands, thank you, Grand Elder!"

"And..." the middle-aged woman narrowed her eyes: "You should only open this yellow silk after entering the Purple Mist Abyss, Duo Mei. Don't disappoint me, you must come back... No matter what happens in the Purple Mist Abyss, you must endure it, for me, for the entire sect, for our entire Yi Kingdom..."

"Duo Mei will obey the Grand Elder's teachings!"

Watching the black-clad saintess's graceful figure depart, a subtle, enigmatic smile appeared on the middle-aged woman's alluring face.

A wisp of purple mist seeped from the narrow mountain crevice, only to be swirled back in by the mountain wind, showing no sign of dissipating. The black-clad saintess stood before the crevice for a long time before finally mustering her courage and stepping inside.

A purple mist enveloped her; all she could see was a short stretch of rocky mountain path. Guided by instinct, she walked forward through the mist for about fifteen minutes. Then, she felt herself pass through something almost transparent, like a water curtain, and then she saw bright green mountains, trees, and streams again.

She turned back, but her heart trembled violently. Where she had just come from, there was no crevice, but a sheer cliff face, as if carved by an axe!

"How could this be?" The black-clad saintess turned and touched the cliff face; it was icy cold and incredibly hard… "If you don't do those things after entering the Purple Mist Abyss, you will never return!" The Grand Elder's words echoed in her ears again. Her mind jolted, and she hurriedly opened the yellow silk to see what was written on it!

The yellow silk slowly unfurled, revealing only a single painting: a colossal, half-human face carved into a mountainside, with bulging eyes, large nostrils, and an open mouth. The black-clad saintess knew this statue intimately; it was a sacred icon of her religion, said to possess earth-shattering, mystical power. Before the icon was a towering waterfall, white snowmelt cascading down into a deep, dark pool below, wisps of purple mist rising from its surface. Just below the mouth of the icon in the painting was a shrine, within which was clearly painted the same yellow silk.

Duo Mei gathered up the silk and walked upstream along the gently flowing stream, knowing that the water flowed from that pool…

“Holy crap! Is this bungee jumping?” As Ge Xiaoyao plummeted, he felt his body being violently pulled, then bounced high into the air, then fall again, only to be pulled up again, repeating this a hundred times. When he finally stopped, he was completely disoriented.

It took Ge Xiaoyao quite a while to regain his senses, but seeing his predicament, he was both amused and exasperated. He was now tangled in a mess of supple vines, hanging high from an ancient tree growing horizontally halfway up the mountainside. "Tarzan!" the thought flashed through his mind.

Looking down, he still felt dizzy; there were at least several hundred meters below. Jumping from here would be like jumping from the 36th floor onto a horse leap – there was no hope of survival, but if he jumped with a bit more skill, perhaps he could at least die a dignified death!

He looked around and suddenly noticed two large, protruding rocks on the nearest cliff face, each several dozen square meters in size. Ge Xiaoyao estimated the distance, then reached out and tugged hard at the vine dangling from him. "Damn it, I can't just hang myself here! I'll risk it all..."

Ge Xiaoyao had seen special forces stunts, flying man performances, and Tarzan, but he didn't have those skills. A clumsy man uses clumsy methods, so he started swinging, his swings increasing until he could finally bump into the cliff face.

He clung tightly to a large rock on the cliff to prevent himself from swinging back, then began to untangle the vine that was binding him.

When Ge Xiaoyao's feet finally touched solid ground, he was completely exhausted. He licked the dew from a few leaves, lay on his back for a while, and then groggily stood up.

"Haha, Black-Clad Saintess, Ying'er, you didn't expect this, did you? I, Ge Xiaoyao, am not dead!" He thought of Ying'er, who had been determined to kill him, and couldn't help but feel smug. He sat down on a large rock, his gaze sweeping across the entire valley. "Haha, what a beautiful view!"

That waterfall was huge, twice the size of Huangguoshu Waterfall, and the deep pool below it was practically a giant lake! Most wonderfully, the purple mist seemed to have a healing effect on miasma; the discomfort he had felt from inhaling it had vanished without a trace.

However, his joy was short-lived. He discovered he had nowhere to go. In this small area of a few dozen square meters, devoid of even a blade of grass, he would be dried out in less than two days. Ge Xiaoyao clutched his rumbling stomach, a chill creeping into his heart. "Damn it, I might as well have fallen to my death!"

His hand touched something soft—Xiao Yao's sachet. "I wonder how Xiao Yao is now! Sigh, she should have just jumped down herself. After all that fuss, that oriole threw her down..." Ge Xiaoyao thought bitterly, looking at the round, bright red sachet. Suddenly, he remembered he also had a brocade sachet.

"Damn! How could I forget about it!" Ge Xiaoyao recited a magic spell.

A gust of cold wind rose, swirling around Ge Xiaoyao a dozen times.

"Damn it! Why are you swirling around like that?" Ge Xiaoyao was so cold he got goosebumps all over; it was almost like air conditioning, and the lowest temperature must have been below zero.

The cold wind finally stopped in front of him, still swaying left and right, looking like it was drunk. "Drink our wine, and you'll never look back, no matter what! Drink our wine, and you'll never bow your head when you're out picking up girls or whoring!"

"Damn! Hey boss... why did it take you so long to remember me!" Yin San laughed. "Hehe, you shook me too hard just now, I'm still not quite recovered!"

Ge Xiaoyao laughed too, "San'er! Can we talk about something?"

"Master, just tell me what you need, your smiling face is making me uneasy!" Yin San said.

"Hehe... it's nothing serious!" Ge Xiaoyao waved a finger, "Catch that bird down for me!" A white-headed eagle was circling in mid-air, its wingspan easily over ten meters, its two claws like giant iron rakes.

"Damn!" Yin San gasped, then quickly said, "That thing would tear me to pieces! Master, big brother, can we get another bird?"

"No..." Ge Xiaoyao shook his head, "How can a little bird be enough to eat?"

"Damn! Why didn't you say so earlier..." Yin San then realized that Ge Xiaoyao was hungry, "That's easy, I'll be back in a bit..."

"Sigh..." Before Ge Xiaoyao could speak, a cold wind had already swirled up and disappeared without a trace in the blink of an eye.

"Damn! What can this ghost possibly feed me?" Ge Xiaoyao pondered to himself. "Tiger?" He shook his head. "Deer?" He shook his head. "Chicken?" He nodded, that's about right. "Damn! No way, ghosts are most afraid of chickens crowing... Sigh! Just wait, anyway, I don't ask for much, as long as I can fill my stomach!"

Chapter 59 Purple Mist Deep Ravine (Part 2)

Ge Xiaoyao lay lazily on a large rock, looking up at the clear blue sky. "Hehe, the air here is so good, the sky is so blue, unlike the smog and grayness of the city all day long..."

Before long, he noticed something strange, because the great white-headed eagle he had seen earlier was still circling overhead, not leaving, as if it was looking for something!

"Damn! Has this eagle caught bird flu and lost its mind? What's so interesting about this place!" Ge Xiaoyao thought to himself, his eyes following the eagle as it moved around...

"Damn! This eagle is so big, if I could ride it for a spin, it would feel amazing..." Ge Xiaoyao couldn't help but feel itchy. "Yang Guo, haha... No, I have to tease that kid Yin San later and make him find a way to get me this eagle to play with!"

Just as Ge Xiaoyao was thinking about how to get Yin San to catch the eagle, a cold wind swirled, and many large wooden sticks with red flowers and green leaves fell from mid-air! Luckily, Ge Xiaoyao dodged quickly, otherwise he would definitely have been hit without mercy.

"Damn! What the hell are you doing!" Ge Xiaoyao cursed, but when he saw the wooden sticks clearly, he gasped and froze. They weren't wooden sticks at all, they were actually huge ginseng roots!

Each ginseng root was as thick as a forearm and had lush branches and leaves. Ginseng only grows one leaf every five hundred years. With so many leaves, each ginseng must be over ten thousand years old—these are priceless treasures! "Wow, I'm rich!" Ge Xiaoyao was overjoyed, but then he looked up and saw the eagle again, and suddenly an idea struck him.

"Damn it! I told you to go find food, what are you doing bringing me all these radishes!" Ge Xiaoyao immediately jumped up and shouted.

Yin San's cold wind was still swirling. "No way, these are all ancient ginseng kings!"

Ge Xiaoyao ignored him, still furious. "Damn it, I'm a doctor, do you think I can't tell the difference between a radish and ginseng?! How dare you try to fool me with this!"

Yin San also panicked and protested, "Isn't this ginseng? All the ginseng I've ever seen looks like this!"

"Damn!" Ge Xiaoyao chuckled. "You probably always ate radishes thinking they were ginseng before!"

Yin San was bewildered by Ge Xiaoyao's outburst. "Damn! How could it be a radish?"

Ge Xiaoyao continued to "pick a hornet's nest." "Sigh! Fine, fine, a radish is fine, it's better than starving!" Saying this, he sat down on the spot, picked out a large one, and prepared to eat.

"Master, big brother..." Yin San couldn't stand it anymore. "How can you eat a radish? How can I let you eat a radish? I'll go find some more... You wait here!" Saying this, he was about to leave in a swirling cold wind.

"Wait, wait..." Ge Xiaoyao hurriedly said, "You've dug up so many radishes, it must have been hard for you. Take a break first!"

"How can that be?" Yin San asked anxiously.

"Aha... he's taken the bait!" Ge Xiaoyao chuckled inwardly, then said pitifully, "How about this... you help me get that eagle down so I can ride it up. I can't just stay here and die!"

"Get up? That's easy! I'll take you up. That eagle is really hard to get!" Yin San said with difficulty.

Ge Xiaoyao sat down with a sullen smile and continued to gnaw on the "radish." Yin San had no choice but to say, "Then I'll give it a try, but I need to borrow your longsword!"

Meanwhile, the black-clad saintess and the nightingale were really good to Ge Xiaoyao. Not only did they leave him a complete corpse, but they even "buried" his sword with it.

With a clang, Ge Xiaoyao threw his longsword. Yin San's cold wind whipped up, blowing towards the white-headed eagle still circling in mid-air, also snatching a few vines that Ge Xiaoyao had taken from his body.

"Damn it! Kill it alive!" Ge Xiaoyao shouted hastily, but the cold wind had already gone far away.

"What's wrong with the boss? Suddenly decided to play with an eagle!" Yin San circled in mid-air, "This isn't an eagle, it's clearly a giant eagle!"

You know, among birds, the most fierce, powerful, ruthless, and cruel is the eagle, also known as the vulture or the mountain eagle. It can be said that it is an extremely belligerent element in bird society, similar to a certain country on our western continent, a bastard that bullies the weak and fears the strong.

As the saying goes, ghosts fear evil people, and of course, they also fear evil birds. As it turns out, birds are no less ferocious than humans. A horrifying battle between humans and birds once took place on an island in a certain country. Hundreds of millions of seabirds attacked tens of thousands of heavily armed humans on the island. Although the humans initially won, the massive amounts of bird droppings and carcasses made it impossible for them to live on the island, forcing them to retreat. The war between humans and birds ended in a final victory for the birds.

Therefore, wise people often avoid arguing with birds, especially not with bird-men.

Don't laugh, Yin San is a smart man, no, a smart bastard, otherwise he wouldn't have followed Ge Xiaoyao.

But now he's regretting his original choice. He never expected that this seemingly ordinary person, only interested in women, would be so interested in birds. What a damn birdman!

Now, he has two choices: fight the vicious bird flying in the sky, or fight the birdman sitting on the ground.

"Damn it! I guess I'll just have to accept it!" Yin San sighed. He didn't want to offend that birdman surnamed Shi, otherwise, if he recited the incantation and entered that damned brocade pouch, he would truly become a caged bird ghost. "Damn it, it's just a bird!" Yin San charged forward.

As mentioned earlier, Yin San is a clever fellow; he wouldn't be foolish enough to actually fight that vicious bird face-to-face. His frail body couldn't withstand the wind, let alone the tearing of its iron beak and claws. He pulled out his secret weapon—a spell he learned from Jiang Ziya. "Hehe, I didn't even tell the boss about this!"

Seeing Yin San finally fall for the trick and go catch the bird for him, Ge Xiaoyao chuckled, sat down, and continued gnawing on his "radish." This time, however, he only took a small bite before taking off his clothes, covering all the large "radishes" inside. "Damn! It really is the Ten-Thousand-Year Radish King! It's fucking powerful! If I weren't so strong, one bite would have given me a nosebleed..."

Ge Xiaoyao held the Ten-Thousand-Year Ginseng King, which he had just bitten twice, under his nose, inhaling deeply.

The two bites of ginseng meat and the rich aroma of ginseng completely dispelled Ge Xiaoyao's fatigue. Now, his energy was boundless, and even his deputy seemed to have grown stronger. He lay on his back, hands behind his head, watching with smug satisfaction as a dark cloud chased after a white-headed eagle in circles.

The eagle seemed to sense the approaching danger; with a high-pitched, piercing screech, it flapped its wings violently, then performed a somersault in mid-air, crashing straight into the dark cloud.

"Damn!" Ge Xiaoyao exclaimed in surprise. "That old white-feathered eagle is really domineering! Hehe, Little San, it's up to you this time!"

Seeing the eagle swooping down, the dark cloud trembled twice, instantly transforming into a fine drizzle before vanishing without a trace.

"Damn! Little San, you're like a rabbit, running away at the sight of an eagle… Damn it, you're even worse than a rabbit! Even a rabbit kicks an eagle when cornered! You're really fast!" Ge Xiaoyao jumped up, pointing wildly at the empty sky where only the white-headed eagle stood, shouting like a madman.

"Please, bro... look carefully before you shout, okay!" A gust of cold wind brushed past Ge Xiaoyao's ear, followed by Yin San's complaining voice.

Ge Xiaoyao looked up sharply, surprised, "Damn! Little San, what are you doing? I don't want an eagle to freeze to death!"

At this moment, the fine drizzle formed from dark clouds had already poured onto the white-headed eagle, instantly freezing it and turning its wings into huge white lumps. Like a kite with a broken string, it wobbled and plummeted downwards.

"Don't worry, boss! This eagle isn't an ordinary eagle. It has a remarkable background. It won't freeze to death!" Yin San said, as the cold wind carried several green vines that tightly bound the falling white-headed eagle, pulling it towards Ge Xiaoyao.

"A remarkable background... what kind of background?" Ge Xiaoyao asked.

Yin San's swirling gust of cold wind lifted the frozen giant eagle, which twirled and landed steadily on the stone ground. "How would I know? But the guy who made me use this unique move must have a background!"

"Damn!" Ge Xiaoyao cursed under his breath, walking forward to stroke the white-headed giant eagle tightly wrapped in ice.

"It's so beautiful!" If this thing were displayed in the Palace Museum, even the most powerful presidents of the ten countries would come to see it, and even Osama bin Laden might come to admire it.

Ge Xiaoyao circled around the giant eagle, while Yin San busied himself wrapping the green vines around the eagle's neck, round and round, until the eagle was tied into a green vine kite.

"Little San, what are you doing? Are you afraid it will run away?" Ge Xiaoyao asked.

Yin San continued to wrap the green vine around the eagle's neck, again and again. "Master, brother, that's right, my zombie skills won't last long! Besides, aren't you going to ride the eagle through the sky?"

Ge Xiaoyao chuckled, excitedly almost bewildered: "Damn! This is going to be fun! I've never ridden such a big bird before!" He rubbed his hands together and laboriously tossed the dozen or so ancient ginseng roots wrapped in his clothes onto the eagle's back.

"Damn! Boss, why do you still want those dried radishes? They're so heavy, just throw them down the mountain!" Yin San asked, puzzled. Even a clever ghost has his moments of folly, like when he trusts people too much. If he hadn't been so trusting in his previous life, how could he be a ghost now?

Ge Xiaoyao laughed and casually said, "These radishes are actually quite fresh. Take them back and make soup for the soldiers!"

Yin San also chuckled, tightly binding the last green vine to the giant eagle, then handing one end of the vine to Ge Xiaoyao. "Alright, boss, you go up now. It'll be flying soon. Just pull and release this vine, and it'll obey your commands!" As the saying

goes, public opinion is a fearsome thing, and there are gods three feet above your head. Ge Xiaoyao's insincere joke actually came true in the end. Dozens of ancient ginseng kings were put into dozens of large pots, and each soldier drank a bowl... Ge Xiaoyao felt a pang of heartache... but there was nothing he could do. Who told him to bring these "radishes" back?

Chapter 60 Purple Mist Deep Ravine (Part 2)

The black-clad saintess stood under the statue, solemnly and slowly opening the yellow silk. Not far away, the waterfall roared. On the yellow silk, a white-headed giant eagle with outstretched wings was outlined with a single line in ink. A beautiful girl in black sat atop the massive eagle's wings, flying towards the top of the waterfall, where a cave was depicted in bold strokes. The cave wasn't clearly visible in the painting, and in reality, it was completely obscured by the rising mist.

"Where is the white-headed eagle?" The black-clad saintess looked around; the sky was empty except for fluffy white clouds.

She gazed at the towering waterfall, imagining the feeling of riding the giant eagle—was it ethereal? Was the top of the waterfall a celestial abode?

"Ah..." A high-pitched bird cry rang out, and a black dot appeared in mid-air, swooping down. The dot grew larger and larger until it became clear—it was a white-headed eagle, exactly as depicted on the yellow silk. The black-clad saintess felt a surge of excitement.

"Awesome!" Ge Xiaoyao clung to the eagle's back like an octopus, tightly gripping the green vine bound to its neck. His face was pale, but he still cried out in excitement, eliciting bursts of shrill laughter from Yin San, who was protecting him.

This giant eagle, being a sentient being, naturally refused to be controlled by Ge Xiaoyao. Although a green vine bound its neck, preventing it from carrying him, it constantly twisted and turned, sometimes soaring upwards, sometimes swooping down, trying every possible way to throw Ge Xiaoyao off.

"Damn it!" Ge Xiaoyao's pride was severely wounded. "It's just a bird, isn't it? A bigger one is still a bird… Damn it, what's there to be afraid of!" He gritted his teeth, strained against the green vine, and finally stood up, wobbling slightly. At this moment, the eagle, in pain, was forced to raise its head, flapped its wings violently, and flew upwards again!

Having successfully tamed the giant white-headed eagle, Ge Xiaoyao was overjoyed. "I long to ride the wind and fly away, yet fear the jade palaces and towers, where the heights are

unbearably cold..." The giant white-headed eagle soared and swayed wildly, sometimes even attempting to crash into the cliffs. "Damn! What a fierce temperament!" Ge Xiaoyao firmly controlled the vine, directing it eastward, and westward, always managing to avoid the hard cliffs and boulders at the most perilous moments, truly experiencing "extreme terror"... "Awesome!" The thrill and excitement of high-speed flight made Ge Xiaoyao want to shout. Suddenly, a riddle came to mind: Why do helicopters sway and sway during flight?

Ge Xiaoyao burst into laughter. What a ridiculous joke! Only Yin San hovered nervously around him, afraid that he might lose control and ruin everything. Seeing him suddenly laugh, Yin San was even more bewildered.

"What's so funny!" Yin San simply stopped circling and landed on the eagle's back, leaving a faint shadow behind Ge Xiaoyao.

Ge Xiaoyao was still laughing uncontrollably, "Haha...haha..." Of course, he wouldn't tell Yin San the joke, because even if he did, Yin San wouldn't understand. This Yin San was a ghost from the Shang Dynasty, a helicopter guy, he probably didn't even know what a flush toilet was. Talking to him was like casting pearls before swine! "Hehe..."

After laughing enough, Ge Xiaoyao focused on manipulating the green vine and began training the unruly white-headed eagle. He had seen horse trainers before; no matter how wild a horse was, once tamed, it would follow its master wholeheartedly. "Hehe, if I had an eagle like this as a mount, who could be my match on the battlefield? Besides, it would be much easier to pick up a girl..."

After circling in the sky several times, the white-headed giant eagle seemed to finally resign itself to its fate, obediently flying steadily under Ge Xiaoyao's command. "Question: Why isn't the helicopter shaking anymore?"

"Because the pilot sobered up!" Ge Xiaoyao couldn't help but laugh wildly again...

This time, Yin San wasn't surprised. He thought that the white-headed giant eagle had been subdued, and Ge Xiaoyao was happy...

The black-clad saintess stared wide-eyed, ignoring the soreness in her jade neck from looking up for too long, and looked at the man and the eagle in astonishment. She couldn't believe that Lin Chutian was still alive! And he was even laughing and playing with the giant eagle that should belong to her!

But then she became happy again. Lin Chutian hadn't died! And he had subdued this white giant eagle! Her eyes welled up with tears, "My nemesis... I've finally seen you again..." That passionate kiss in the forest was enough for her to remember this arrogant and shameless man for a lifetime.

"Damn! How could she..." Ge Xiaoyao also saw the black-clad saintess standing at the foot of the cliff. "How did she get into this deep ravine? And why is she crying?" Ge Xiaoyao felt a pang of sorrow.

For some reason, he, who had never been particularly interested in women, had a special feeling for this black-clad saintess. What was that feeling? Love? Liking? Or something else? He couldn't figure it out. She was an enigmatic woman!

As for Chu Yu, it was a love that had accumulated over many years, a true love that he couldn't forget or sever. It was for this true love that Ge Xiaoyao had come this far. As for Xiao Yao, it was genuine affection, a simple liking. But as for this black-clad, often cold-faced saintess, the few times he had seen her, he felt that she was his woman! Although they had only met twice and shared a brief kiss.

A kiss sealed their fate! Ge Xiaoyao couldn't understand it, and he was too lazy to think about it. Only sentimental young men would cry and threaten suicide for a woman; he wasn't like that. He lived a carefree life, and women were merely an indispensable element of that carefree spirit. What does it mean to be carefree? It means that for the woman you love, the woman you like, the woman you have feelings for, you'd be willing to risk everything for her, even facing eternal infamy. As for women you're just playing around with, you let them have their way, you enjoy yourself, and once you've had your fun, you part ways cleanly, without any fuss!

Ge Xiaoyao loosened the vine, and the giant eagle swooped down. Its brief training had already made it understand that the man on its back might also be its master's intention. A spirit creature is a spirit creature; its mind is much faster than an ordinary person's!

"Come on up!" Ge Xiaoyao chuckled.

"I want to go there!" The black-clad saintess, her mind reeling, pointed towards the waterfall! To be honest, she didn't know how to treat the man before her—enemy? Or lover? Blurring

the lines between public and private matters is a common flaw in all women, and she was no exception. That is, when no one else is around. External factors influencing a woman are extremely dangerous. This is why the Black-Clad Saintess remained unmoved, even tacitly approving, when Ge Xiaoyao was first chased by Ying Nu and then thrown off a cliff the second time. It was all because of Ying Nu's presence.

The giant eagle slowly descended, finally meeting its true master. Without waiting for Ge Xiaoyao's instructions, it obediently curled its wings, knelt on the ground, and nodded its large white head towards the Black-Clad Saintess, its eyes gesturing for her to mount its back.

This time, Ge Xiaoyao was truly stunned, staring blankly as the Black-Clad Saintess gracefully mounted the eagle's back and sat beside him!

"Damn! What a lecherous eagle, the kind that can't resist a pretty woman! Pathetic..." Ge Xiaoyao thought bitterly, then felt a cold wind blowing past his ear. "Master, brother, you're truly blessed with good fortune! I don't think this woman is someone to be trifled with, yet she's so polite to you!" "Hehe..."

Ge Xiaoyao smiled inwardly, casually reciting a series of incantations. Before Yin San could even cry out, he had already captured her in his brocade pouch.

"Let's go!" said the black-clad saintess, her beautiful eyes fixed on Ge Xiaoyao, her tears now dried, replaced by boundless charm and tenderness.

Before Ge Xiaoyao could answer, the giant eagle seemed to understand her meaning, letting out an excited cry, its enormous wings suddenly unfurling, ready to take flight.

"Damn it! You damned lecherous bird! I'm not in a hurry yet... why are you in such a rush!" Ge Xiaoyao cursed inwardly, retracting the green vine in his hand, and the white-headed giant eagle rose from the ground, flying straight towards the top of the waterfall.

"You..." "You..." The two spoke at the same time, then smiled at each other.

Ge Xiaoyao adopted a gentlemanly demeanor, "Ah... you go first!"

"Why didn't you... ah, how could this giant eagle listen to you?" The black-clad saintess smiled, her allure naturally revealed. She had wanted to ask why he wasn't dead, but suddenly realized that asking that was inappropriate, after all, she was the one who had thrown him down, and asking why he wasn't dead would be too meaningless.

Ge Xiaoyao knew her feelings perfectly well, but avoided the topic, shaking the green vine in his hand and laughing, "With this here, how could this fellow not obey!"

Seeing the resilient vine deeply embedded in the eagle's feathers, the black-clad saintess felt a pang of heartache, but she was also greatly impressed by Ge Xiaoyao's abilities.

Since ancient times, beauties have loved heroes; whether it's a hero who shoots eagles or one who rides them, it's all the same.

At this moment, they had flown to the middle of the waterfall, and the black-clad saintess could already see the cave on the yellow silk map. She pointed in the air and said to Ge Xiaoyao, "There!"

Ge Xiaoyao nodded, indicating that he also saw it. Before he could give any instructions, the eagle automatically flew towards the cave, as if it were returning to its own home. "It's only been a short while, and you're already listening to the pretty girls and not me! You lecherous bird, I really don't know what to say to you!"

Hearing Ge Xiaoyao scold her for being a bird, the black-clad saintess couldn't help but chuckle. The tenderness in her beautiful eyes increased even more. No woman dislikes being praised, especially by the man she loves.

"Oh... by the way, Chu Tian, what were you about to say?" the black-clad saintess asked softly.

"Ah ha..." Ge Xiaoyao smiled. Chu Tian was his alias, huh? He hadn't expected her to remember it so clearly.

He had originally intended to ask how he ended up there, but now he felt it would spoil the beautiful moment for the Condor Heroes. After thinking for a moment, he couldn't come up with a good reason and blurted out, "You... what's your name!"

Chapter 61 Lustful Cave Dragon (Part 1)

Amidst the high-pitched cries of the white-headed giant eagle, the two quickly reached the top of the waterfall. Only then did they see clearly that within the waterfall's flow was a stone slab about an acre in size. In front of the slab was a deep, dark cave, completely obscured by darkness. From the outside, thanks to the concealment of the waterfall's curtain of water, no one would have noticed that such a place existed.

"How beautiful! Is this it?" Ge Xiaoyao commanded the giant eagle to rush into the water curtain and slowly land on the stone slab.

"Yes, this is it, Chu Tian, you can go now! I'll go in alone..." Duo Mei's gaze swept across the cave, and she could see a similar divine artifact on the outer wall of the cave, where a piece of yellow silk was stored.

Ge Xiaoyao was stunned. "Damn it! What's going on? I'm not the driver, why are you kicking me out?" However, he didn't say it aloud, but only said, "Are you sure you can manage? Or I can go in with you, I might be able to help if anything happens!"

Duo Mei's face showed a coldness, and her brief moment of girlish sentimentality was replaced by the mission of the Holy Maiden. "No need, this is our clan's sacred cave, no one except the Holy Maiden can enter!"

Ge Xiaoyao opened his mouth, but didn't say anything. He originally wanted to ask what kind of Holy Maiden she was, but seeing Duo Mei's cold face, he didn't want to ask anymore! "Damn it! What's so great about her? If you don't want me to go in, fine, what's it to me?!"

"Alright then, I'll go take a look around, I'll wait for you here in two hours!" Ge Xiaoyao said, and then turned around and mounted the white-headed giant eagle.

"Chu Tian..." Duo Mei's beautiful eyes looked at Ge Xiaoyao, filled with tenderness.

"Is there anything else?" Ge Xiaoyao turned his head.

"Ah...no, nothing, just be careful!" Duo Mei hesitated for a moment before saying.

Ge Xiaoyao chuckled inwardly. He had seen countless women and was a master of love. Duo Mei's words and actions were all under his control. He naturally understood that this holy maiden still had feelings for him, but it might be due to certain clan rules, which made things difficult. He immediately smiled and said, "Alright! I'm going. Be careful too!" With that, he raised the green vine in his hand, and the white-headed giant eagle let out a loud cry, soaring into the sky, piercing through the water curtain, and flying straight into the heavens.

Watching the man and the eagle fly away, a blush appeared on Duo Mei's face. "Chu Tian, it's not that I'm heartless towards you, it's just fate!" After a long while, she sighed softly, turned around, and walked straight towards the divine temple.

The yellow silk slowly unfurled, revealing the painting before her. At first glance, Duomei's face flushed crimson. She quickly closed the drawing, glanced around to make sure no one was watching, and then reopened it for a closer look.

It was another ink drawing, simple yet remarkably expressive: a naked woman bathing in a milky-white pool. Her left hand caressed her ample breasts, her right hand touched her smooth, jade-like feet, her face slightly flushed, seemingly aroused. Duomei stared intently, unconsciously imagining her own body in the pool.

A gust of cold wind blew, causing the yellow handkerchief in her hand to tremble. She snapped back to reality, her face burning and her mouth dry. She lightly licked her bright red lips, rolled up the handkerchief, and placed it back in the shrine. Looking around again, still finding it empty, she finally felt relieved and walked towards the cave.

No one knew that she was now like a child who had done something wrong, filled with anxiety. The image of the woman in the yellow silk painting kept replaying in her mind; she could even hear her own heart pounding rapidly.

After taking a few steps, her emotions calmed down a bit, and she couldn't help but chuckle at herself for looking around earlier. "This cave is at the top of the waterfall; who else but me could possibly have the ability to get up here?" Thinking this, she was no longer ashamed of the spring scenery in the painting and resumed her normal bathing before the sacred ritual.

Duo Mei took a deep breath, closed her eyes slightly, and murmured incantations. She raised her two slender hands above her head, and two luminous blue lotus flowers quietly appeared, swirling around her. Illuminated by the two lotus lanterns, she walked straight into the dark cave. A cold wind swirled in with her.

The cave was deep and dark, like a path to the underworld. Fortunately, the two lotus lanterns flickered with a ghostly blue light, illuminating the area within a few steps. Duo Mei walked forward step by step. By the dim light of the lanterns, she vaguely saw countless nude women painted on the surrounding walls, each in a different pose, making various alluring gestures.

"Where is this? How could this be?" she wondered, but quickly dismissed the thought. The Grand Elder's words should be true, "Whatever happens in the Purple Mist Abyss, you must endure it, for me, for the entire sect, for our entire Yi Kingdom..."

She walked for an unknown distance before suddenly seeing a large white jade door gleaming with a bluish light. A lifelike black dragon was carved on the door. Before she could get closer to examine it, the door seemed to have a mind of its own and automatically opened to both sides.

Then, a dazzling light appeared, and Duo Mei instinctively closed her eyes. She heard a deafening roar, like the sound of a massive mechanism at work.

She opened her eyes, only to be stunned by the magnificent splendor before her. "Where is this?"

It was practically a world inlaid with gold and white jade. The wide cave walls were made of pure gold, and there were white jade pillars, stools, tables, and beds. A life-sized statue of a saint, with protruding eyes, a high nose, and a round mouth, was crafted from pure white jade. A yellow silk cloth rested on the statue's chin; Duomei knew it indicated her next step.

Before the statue was a huge pool made from a single piece of transparent jade. However, the pool wasn't filled with water, but with a milky white, crystalline liquid, as thick and smooth as milk.

"This is it!" Duomei remembered the drawing on the yellow silk cloth. She knew that her next step was to bathe in the pool.

She nervously looked around at the magnificent stone chamber filled with gold and jade artifacts, as if in a dream. This place was truly mysterious and unbelievable.

"You'll find the same yellow silk there, with new instructions! But remember, if you don't do what's marked on the yellow silk after entering the Purple Mist Abyss, you'll never return!" The Elder's words echoed in her ears. After a long while, she finally reached the edge of the pool, stretched out her delicate hand, and slowly loosened her sash. Her

black clothes were neatly laid out on the jade bed beside the pool. She stood barefoot by the pool, her feet warm and smooth, without a trace of coldness. It was all made of the finest, pure white jade, flawless and translucent, truly like a fairyland. Only then did she see the three magnificent, recessed characters engraved on the edge of the pool—"Enchanting Fragrant Pool."

Her curvaceous body and soft, graceful curves were clearly reflected on the surrounding pure gold walls. The milky liquid in the pool emitted a faint, intoxicating fragrance. In fact, any woman would be intoxicated in such an environment.

Domei breathed deeply, her white, high breasts rising and falling gently. She lovingly caressed her body, one jade-like toe lightly dipping into the water.

Judging from the yellow silk painting, the jade pool wasn't very deep, only reaching the upper body of the woman in the painting. Domei was perhaps much taller than the woman in the painting, so even standing in the pool, the milk only reached her waist.

The white milk in the pool was exceptionally smooth, its temperature just right, silently nourishing Domei's flawless body. Smelling the delicate fragrance emanating from the milk, Domei gradually became intoxicated, wholeheartedly enjoying the pleasure and comfort brought by the milk bath, completely unaware that a cold breeze was slowly blowing past her, drifting straight out of the cave. "Mmm..." she couldn't help but let out a comfortable groan...

"Damn! What is this thing? It looks like a weirdo?" Upstream from the waterfall, Ge Xiaoyao sat astride the white-headed giant eagle, circling back and forth in mid-air, looking at the mountain wall and talking to himself.

He remembered clearly that the protruding part on the cliff was the very stone platform he had been standing on. He must have thought it was just a platform, or perhaps a rock jutting out from the cliff face, but now, riding the giant eagle, it looked from a distance like the left eye of a strange man.

"Strange… how could something formed on a cliff face be so coincidental?" Ge Xiaoyao muttered to himself, sitting atop the giant eagle, pondering the strange sight he had witnessed. Perhaps from staring at it for too long, his vision became somewhat blurred.

"Damn! It's so lewd! If you look at it like this, the strange man's two eyes are clearly a woman's breasts! And that tall, stick-like nose, that narrow crevice in the rock…"

Ge Xiaoyao was quite pleased with his discovery, "Damn it, even the heavens are so whimsical, the wind and rain have ruined this rock like this!"

A gust of cold wind blew, making Ge Xiaoyao shiver. He cursed, "Little San, what the hell are you rushing around like your pants are on fire?!"

"Huh!" Yin San didn't answer, but just hovered in front of Ge Xiaoyao. He said, "Strange, it's exactly the same as the one in that cave, except the one in the cave is jade."

"What cave?" Ge Xiaoyao asked, puzzled.

Yin San then stopped, his shadow solidifying around Ge Xiaoyao. "Didn't you tell me to follow her into the cave?"

Ge Xiaoyao suddenly remembered. "Ah... then what are you 'huh'ing about? What do you mean 'exactly the same,' and it's jade?"

"It's this one..." Yin San said.

"Which one?" Ge Xiaoyao looked around.

"Hehe! I forgot, you can't see my fingers!" Yin San chuckled. "It's the cliff opposite, doesn't it look like a human face?"

"You mean this? Damn... I already saw that?" Ge Xiaoyao said dismissively, but he immediately realized what he meant and asked suspiciously, "You, you mean there's one in the cave too?"

"Yes! Exactly the same as this cliff face, only life-sized, and made of jade!" Yin San said.

"Oh..." Ge Xiaoyao frowned and suddenly asked, "Didn't I tell you to keep an eye on Duo Mei? Why did you run out?"

"Sigh! I almost forgot about the important matter! You should go and take a look! Something's... too unusual..." Yin San said, "It's not just a stone cave, it's more magnificent than a heavenly palace!"

Perhaps he was too excited, he was somewhat incoherent.

Chapter 62 Lustful Cave and Lewd Dragon (Part 2)

"Damn! I thought something serious had happened? It's just a bath, what's so interesting about it? Haven't you ever seen a beautiful woman bathing?" Ge Xiaoyao said dismissively.

"That's not just any ordinary beauty taking a bath, ah...it's so beautiful, my nose is almost bleeding..." Yin San's voice trembled slightly.

"Damn it!" Ge Xiaoyao suddenly flew into a rage, and a ten-thousand-year-old ginseng flew aimlessly towards Yin San's phantom image. "Don't you know that's my chosen one, your future boss's wife? You dared to watch her take a bath, and you even got a nosebleed? I think you're asking for trouble!" This was on the back of an eagle in mid-air; if it were on flat ground, Ge Xiaoyao would have already punched and kicked him.

Yin San was startled, realizing he had let slip, and hurriedly said, "Boss, boss...I didn't see, I didn't see..."

"You still say you didn't see? Your nose is bleeding and you still haven't seen!" Another ten-thousand-year-old ginseng king was thrown out.

"Hey, boss, save your radishes, aren't those for the brothers to make soup?" Yin San shouted as he dodged the flying ten-thousand-year-old ginseng king.

Ge Xiaoyao finally stopped. "Damn it! If these were really radishes, I would have thrown them all at you!" he thought bitterly. "Fine, I won't throw them at you. You go back right now. If anything happens to Duo Mei, I'll deal with you!"

Yin San chuckled. "Should I still look? Boss..."

"Get lost!" Ge Xiaoyao raised another "radish," and Yin San ran away in fright!

"Don't give me a second glance!" Ge Xiaoyao shouted from behind.

Ge Xiaoyao lay down on the giant eagle's back, staring at the waterfall in a daze. "Damn it! What kind of cave is this? How come there's this weird human head?"...

A short while later, a cold wind swirled out from the waterfall, splashing waves and startling Ge Xiaoyao, who was lying on the giant eagle's back lost in thought.

"Damn! What's wrong with this kid again?"

Before Ge Xiaoyao could ask, the cold wind had already reached him. "It's bad, boss, Lady Duomei...she..." Yin San stammered anxiously.

"What happened?" Ge Xiaoyao's heart jumped. It seemed something serious had definitely happened this time, otherwise why would this ghost be so anxious!

Yin San took a deep breath, the cold wind blowing directly on Ge Xiaoyao's face. "She...she...sigh, you should go see for yourself!" With that, another whirlwind took the lead and swept towards the stone cave.

Ge Xiaoyao didn't have time to think. He quickly shook the green vine in his hand, and the white-headed giant eagle let out a loud cry and shot towards the stone cave like a shooting star.

The cave was very dark, but with Yin San leading the way, Ge Xiaoyao strode forward with peace of mind. The man and the ghost quickly arrived at the stone chamber where Duomei was bathing. Before even reaching the door, they could already hear Duomei's boundless moans of desire inside.

"Damn!" Ge Xiaoyao couldn't help but gasp. Led by Yin San, he tiptoed slowly into the stone door engraved with a black dragon.

Ge Xiaoyao instinctively closed his eyes; the room was filled with dazzling gold and splendor, making it hard for him to open them. The alluring moans still echoed in his ears, accompanied by the sound of something splashing on the water.

Ge Xiaoyao slowly opened his eyes, adjusted his gaze, and then looked towards the source of the sound. What he saw was enough to make his nose bleed.

"Boss..." Yin San whispered in his ear.

"Damn it!" Ge Xiaoyao turned his face away, no longer looking at the lewd scene, but silently recited a secret incantation. Before Yin San could react, he had already been shoved into his sachet. "Damn it, it's one thing for me, the boss, to see this, but you saw it too, aren't I incredibly embarrassed!"

Ge Xiaoyao took a deep breath, steadied himself, and then looked in that direction again.

Before him was a large, almost transparent jade pool, filled with a shimmering, viscous milky white liquid, whether it was milk or grass juice, he couldn't tell. In the pool of milk, Duomei leaned against the surface, her upper body mostly naked. Her face was flushed, her eyes were closed, and her fragrant lips were panting rapidly. One delicate, boneless, snow-white hand caressed her breast, while the other hand was in the milk, lifting and pressing, twisting and turning, stirring up ripples in the pool.

"Mmm...ah..." Waves of ecstasy escaped from her cherry-red lips, stirring Ge Xiaoyao's soul like the pool of milk, causing waves to rise and fall within it.

Suppressing the surging lust aroused by the erotic scene, Ge Xiaoyao inhaled deeply the fragrance emanating from the pool of milk. "Damn! This is definitely not good. How can it have such a strange scent? It even seems to have aphrodisiac effects?"

He bent down, quietly crept to the edge of the jade pool, and gently dipped his finger into a little of the milk that had splashed out. He examined it carefully, then put a little in his mouth and tasted it lightly, his heart filled with a chilling desolation.

"Damn! How can there be such lewd things here? And so much of it at once!"

Ge Xiaoyao's ancestral manual, "Secret Techniques of the Bedchamber," recorded a legend about "dragon saliva," a substance resembling saliva and milk, sticky, bright in color, and thick. It was the aphrodisiac fluid of the nine-tailed black dragon from the desolate lands of the Western Regions, possessing miraculous aphrodisiac effects. The book "Secrets of the Bedroom," which Ge Xiaoyao's great-grandfather from an unknown generation had annotated, states that dragons are legendary for their lustful nature. In reality, dragon saliva is the saliva of a black dragon before it goes into heat; any woman who touches it will be aroused and lose her senses, allowing the black dragon to mate with her.

When Ge Xiaoyao studied this book, he had laughed at his great-grandfather, saying it was pure nonsense. There were no dragons in the world, let alone a nine-tailed black dragon. Besides, even if there were dragons, who could obtain their saliva, especially its saliva during its heat? Even the so-called "dragon saliva incense" was just a mysterious and appealing name.

However, now he was starting to believe it. This substance was exactly like dragon saliva, and he suddenly remembered the black dragon on the stone gate outside, which did indeed seem to have nine tails.

"Damn! Could it be that I, Ge Xiaoyao, have really stumbled upon such a rare treasure?" He secretly took out a jade bottle from his pocket, filled it with the dragon's saliva, and planned to study it carefully when he got back.

Knowing it was an extremely potent aphrodisiac, Ge Xiaoyao wasn't in a hurry to disturb Duomei. Besides, even if he tried to wake her now, she probably wouldn't wake up anyway. This dragon's saliva was not only extremely potent in its aphrodisiac effects but also had a mind-altering effect. If he tried to wake her now, she might just retaliate in her lustful rage.

Suddenly, a bold idea came to Ge Xiaoyao's mind. He quietly retreated to the doorway and hid under a jade cabinet with two jade holes, allowing him to see into the pool.

At that moment, he also saw the jade masked figure in the stone cave that Yin San had mentioned. It was exactly the same as the one carved on the cliff, only smaller in scale, and its features were even more prominent.

"This is so damn strange. What kind of place is this? What kind of people is Duomei? Ying Guang said they were a religion, the Witchcraft Religion, right! The Witchcraft Religion, Duomei is their holy maiden..." Ge Xiaoyao analyzed everything he knew about this place, ignoring Duomei's increasingly loud cries.

After an unknown amount of time, Duo Mei's voice faded. Ge Xiaoyao looked up and saw that Duo Mei had stood up. Her skin, moisturized by the dragon's saliva lotion, was even whiter and more radiant, shimmering with an alluring glow. He had seen Duo Mei's skin before; it was indeed excellent—smooth, white, and incredibly elastic. However, compared to this, it was like tree bark revealing jade beads—completely incomparable. "Damn! This dragon's saliva actually has skin-beautifying effects! Much better than a milk bath! Hehe, looks like I'll have to find a big one and get a lot to take back later!"

Ge Xiaoyao secretly chanted an incantation and released Yin San. "Boss, you're so stingy! Such a wonderful sight should be shared with me too!" Yin San complained as soon as he appeared.

"Share my ass! Have you ever seen brothers share women?" Ge Xiaoyao cursed. "Go, get me a few big jars!"

"What for?" Yin San asked, puzzled, then grinned and said, "Boss, you don't have that much nosebleed, do you?"

Ge Xiaoyao roared, "Stop talking nonsense, forget what it is, go quickly, the bigger the better, find me whatever you can carry!"

Yin San grinned and agreed, then vanished from the cave like a gust of wind.

Ge Xiaoyao stared intently at Duo Mei, his breathing becoming rapid. He thought that if any man could see a woman like this and not be moved, he certainly wasn't a man. Duo Mei gracefully walked towards the strange-faced statue, stood naked before it for a moment, then slowly reached out and touched the statue, panting heavily, swaying her slender waist, and dancing in various seductive poses before the statue.

Ge Xiaoyao, who was suppressing his urge to stare intently at Duo Mei, suddenly felt a cold wind. Turning his head, he saw more than a dozen large, broken earthenware jars suspended in mid-air.

"It's really hard on him, bringing so much stuff and not making a sound!" Ge Xiaoyao sighed inwardly, and said to Yin San, "Go, collect all the liquid from the pool into the jars, and then transport it all back to the camp!"

"Labor..." Yin San grumbled.

"Damn it! Are you going to do it or not!" Ge Xiaoyao glared at him, and Yin San hurriedly said, "Do...do...do..."

And so, in the magnificent stone chamber, an extremely erotic and bizarre scene unfolded.

A bewitching woman, as beautiful as a celestial being, displayed her graceful figure and naked body in front of a jade pool, while more than a dozen large, broken earthenware jars were neatly suspended behind her, the liquid in the pool being sucked into the jars like a stream of water.

"Boss...it's full!" After a short while, Yin San called out.

Seeing that the pool of dragon's saliva was almost empty, Ge Xiaoyao smiled with satisfaction and said, "Go, take these back to the military camp first!"

Yin San agreed, and a cold wind silently carried more than a dozen earthenware pots away. "Boss, be careful..." Yin San chuckled.

"Damn it! Hurry up and go!" Ge Xiaoyao scolded sternly.

The cold wind swirled the last broken earthenware pot out of the stone gate, and Yin San's chuckle echoed in the distance.

"This kid is getting bolder and bolder!" Ge Xiaoyao thought to himself, but although he said that, he increasingly felt that taking in this spirit ghost was a wise move.

At this moment, the Holy Maiden Duomei had stopped dancing and slowly pulled a roll of bright yellow silk gauze from the mouth of the holy statue.

Chapter 63 Lustful Dragon in the Cave (Part 2)

Ge Xiaoyao recited the true incantation and used the invisibility technique to quietly approach. Although he knew that his invisibility technique could not hide from Duomei at all, Duomei's mind was already confused at this time, so perhaps he could deceive her. Even if he couldn't fool her, it didn't matter; he was determined to get to the bottom of it.

The bright yellow silk gauze slowly unfurled, revealing a painting outlined in ink. Duo Mei's face remained expressionless, her eyes fixed intently on the painting.

"Damn! This is utterly lewd!" Ge Xiaoyao cursed inwardly. He clearly saw the painting: a spacious stone chamber, in the center of which coiled a nine-tailed black dragon, its long tongue about to mate with a naked woman before it. Now he finally understood; this was a veritable den of lust. "I wonder who brought her here. This is supposedly a sacred place of the clan? It's a den of iniquity!"

Duo Mei slowly put away the silk painting and stuffed it back into the mouth of the original jade statue. Mechanically, she extended her slender hand and gently tugged at the statue's thick, long nose. The nose moved in response, rising high. With a whirring sound of a mechanism turning, the statue slowly moved away, revealing a stone cave taller than a person in its place.

Inside the grotto, something resembling a luminous pearl seemed to be placed, emitting a dazzling light. Duo Mei remained silent, slowly descending the jade steps.

"Damn it! We absolutely can't let her go down there!" Ge Xiaoyao rushed forward, catching Duo Mei off guard, grabbing her around the waist and carrying her out. He also snatched the yellow silk from the mouth of the jade statue.

"Oh... um..." The icy snow water washed over Duo Mei's pink body, but it couldn't extinguish her desire. Ge Xiaoyao knew that the Nine-Tailed Dragon Saliva was extremely potent; even a small amount would ignite a burning desire in an ordinary woman, let alone Duo Mei who had been soaking in it for so long. He didn't expect the waterfall's snow water to remove the aphrodisiac from Duo Mei's body; he only hoped it would slightly clear her mind.

"Hmm..." Duo Mei frowned, groaning in pain, and slowly opened her eyes. Her cherry lips, burning red with lust, parted slightly. "Chu Tian, what's wrong? I'm so hot..."

"Do you know what kind of cave that is?" Ge Xiaoyao placed her on the stone ground and leaned over to ask.

Duo Mei shook her head, her eyes filled with doubt.

"Look at this!" Ge Xiaoyao slowly unrolled the yellow silk gauze, revealing a clear scene of a nine-tailed black dragon and a naked woman in debauchery.

"Ah...!" Duo Mei covered her eyes after just one glance. "It can't be like this!"

"It is like this!" Ge Xiaoyao said. "If you don't believe me, look at yourself again!"

"Ah!" Duo Mei screamed. Looking down at her naked body, her once beautiful face became even more flushed with shame.

"How could this be? I wasn't bathing..." Duo Mei said.

Ge Xiaoyao nodded and said, "That's a den of iniquity. Who told you to come here?"

"This..." Duo Mei was speechless, her face turning purplish-red, her breathing becoming rapid, and her delicate body began to writhe restlessly.

"Sigh..." Ge Xiaoyao sighed. He knew that to cure her lust poison, unless...

the shyness on Duo Mei's face had completely disappeared, replaced by boundless lust, her eyes were glazed, and she let out a series of seductive moans, "Mmm... Chu Tian... I want it!"

"I'm sorry, Duomei!" Ge Xiaoyao slowly loosened his belt, the deafening roar of the waterfall drowning out everything...

"Mmm, ah..." Duomei's eyes were tightly closed, her delicate body convulsing, "Chu Tian, quick... quick..."

A beautiful figure stood in the distance, her pretty eyes watching this erotic scene. After a long while, she sneered and turned to rush straight into the stone cave.

The sound of the waterfall continued to roar.

Blood flowed out, staining her snow-white legs with a touch of crimson.

Duomei fell into a deep sleep, perhaps exhausted, her beautiful red lips parting and emitting soft snores. Tears hung on her cheeks, and it was unknown what she was dreaming about.

Ge Xiaoyao stood up wearily. The battle just now was really intense. It had been a long time since he had engaged in such strenuous exercise, and his waist was a little sore. "Damn! That was really powerful! I almost couldn't handle it..."

Seeing the crimson stain between Duomei's legs, he felt a pang of sorrow in his heart. Although Ge Xiaoyao didn't take women seriously, he generally avoided sexual relations. A woman's first time was something she'd remember for a lifetime, and Ge Xiaoyao didn't want to cause so much trouble. Thinking back to the last time he'd taken advantage of her, it was to save her, and now it had the same result. "Sigh! Ge Xiaoyao, Ge Xiaoyao, why did you still take advantage of her in her weakened state?"

He shook his head, gently wiping away the tears from Duo Mei's eyes. "Don't worry, Duo Mei! I, Ge Xiaoyao, will treat you well!"

At this moment, the aphrodisiac in Duo Mei's body had dissipated. Without the support of lust, her body temperature dropped rapidly, and she curled up in her sleep, cold. Ge Xiaoyao wanted to cover her with a garment, then remembered that the clothes were still in the cave.

Ge Xiaoyao thought for a moment, took off his own shirt and covered Duo Mei with it, then turned and ran into the cave to retrieve her clothes.

Of course, he didn't forget to take a couple of bites of "radish" (a euphemism for a snack), haha, conserving energy is always the most important thing, no matter what.

Ge Xiaoyao passed through the dark passage and entered the magnificent stone chamber. He saw Duo Mei's clothes still on the jade bed. He rushed over, grabbed the clothes, and turned to leave when he suddenly heard a woman's moans and groans, interspersed with heavy breathing and whimpering.

"Damn! Is there another woman here?" Ge Xiaoyao thought to himself. He calmed himself and listened intently. The sound was coming from the secret opening Duo Mei had made.

The woman's moans were extremely lewd, with faint sobs, as if she were in great pain. Driven by curiosity, Ge Xiaoyao quietly approached the opening and peered inside.

What he saw shocked him. "Holy crap!"

Ge Xiaoyao almost cried out. The image flashed through his mind. The scene depicted in the painting was vividly displayed here: a nine-tailed black dragon, a naked woman, a long, pink tongue protruding, and her expression of pain and lewdness…

“Ying Nu?” When Ge Xiaoyao saw the woman’s face clearly, he was even more astonished. The naked woman being ravaged by the nine-tailed black dragon was none other than the beautiful maid Ying’er!

An impulse to save a damsel in distress surged up, and Ge Xiaoyao almost rushed in to snatch the groaning Ying Nu out. However, when he saw a neatly piled-up stack of clothes not far from the cave entrance, he suddenly stopped in his tracks. “This… I’ve already drained the black dragon’s saliva. She couldn’t have been bewitched…” Looking at Ying Nu’s expression as she endured the torment, Ge Xiaoyao felt a chill run down his spine. Ying Nu was indeed not bewitched; her union with the nine-tailed black dragon was entirely of her own free will!

Ge Xiaoyao dodged the cave entrance, leaned against the cave wall, took a deep breath, and barely managed to calm himself down. "Heavens! What kind of magic is in this cave? It actually makes one or two women willingly give up their virginity to that beast?"

"Woo..." The nine-tailed black dragon roared, and Yingnu also let out an extremely loud scream. Ge Xiaoyao quickly turned around and saw the nine-tailed black dragon's final attack. Yingnu's body was trembling rapidly as she endured the power from the black dragon's body. Her face was distorted by the intense stimulation, becoming somewhat terrifying.

Suddenly, a dazzling light flashed before Ge Xiaoyao's eyes, forcing him to close them. When he opened them again, he saw that Yingnu's body was covered in black scales. In her painful struggle, her once long, snow-white legs tightly closed together, slowly transforming into a long tail. Her pretty face began to contort and deform, black scales rapidly covering her pink cheeks, and her alluring, snow-white body rolled on the ground, finally transforming into a black dragon resembling the nine-tailed black dragon.

"Damn, a monster!" Even the usually fearless Ge Xiaoyao couldn't help but tremble with fear, but driven by curiosity, his gaze remained fixed on it.

Yingnu, having completed her transformation into a black dragon, let out a "woo-woo" cry, nuzzling and entwining with the nine-tailed black dragon, seemingly extremely excited and affectionate.

A moment later, another dazzling light flashed, and Yingnu transformed back into human form. But she was no longer the naive girl she once was; every gesture was now breathtakingly beautiful and alluring, her eyes brimming with seductive charm. Especially striking were her high, full breasts, proudly erect like ripe peaches, enough to make any man's blood boil. She caressed her body, then laughed triumphantly.

Ge Xiaoyao felt a chill run down his spine. "Heavens! What's going on?" If he hadn't seen it with his own eyes, he would never have believed that the stunningly beautiful woman before him was actually a black dragon, and a young girl at that.

"Woo..." The nine-tailed black dragon raised its enormous head, its long pink tongue licking Yingnu's body. "My darling, give it to me, give me your things... I'll thank you... Twenty years from now, I'll choose an even more beautiful woman to be your sacrifice!" Yingnu said softly.

The nine-tailed black dragon seemed to understand, nodding as it let out a mournful cry. It opened its massive mouth, its enormous body writhing, and soon

spat out an incomparably bright pearl, which hovered around the Nightingale.

The Nightingale's eyes were closed, her hands raised above her head, making strange hand gestures as the pearl hovered. A faint, dark blue light emanated from her body, enveloping the bright pearl.

The pearl spun, brushing against her entire body until the bright light disappeared.

The nine-tailed black dragon then opened its mouth again, swallowing the now-dimmed pearl back into its belly, and snaked its way deeper into the cave. A short while later, a splash of water was heard.

"So that's it! This cave must be connected to the deep pool outside; the black dragon has returned to the pool!" Ge Xiaoyao thought to himself.

"Haha, I've finally obtained the Holy Demon Power! Haha..." At this moment, Ying Nu laughed wildly, "Duo Mei, what do you think you are? Now that I have obtained the Holy Demon Power, I am the new Holy Maiden! I am the ruler of the entire Yi Kingdom! Hahaha..."

Hearing Ying Nu say this, Ge Xiaoyao seemed to understand something, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. The unfamiliar words—Holy Maiden, Witchcraft, Sacrifice, Black Dragon, Holy Demon Power—were intertwined, and intuitively, he felt a sense of foreboding.

Amidst her wild laughter, Ying Nu made that strange hand gesture. Only then did Ge Xiaoyao realize that the gesture actually resembled two intertwined black dragons!

A faint, eerie blue light emanated from Ying Nu's body, and before Ge Xiaoyao could see clearly, she had vanished.

"Damn! She just left like that?" Ge Xiaoyao thought to himself, "Luckily, I didn't let Duo Mei go in, otherwise... sigh!"

Just as Ge Xiaoyao was about to grab his clothes and walk out of the cave, he heard Duo Mei scream "Ah!" outside!

"Oh no! Duo Mei..." Ge Xiaoyao's heart tightened, and he quickly ran out of the cave, only to find that the stone platform outside was empty, and there was no trace of Duo Mei.
