Volume 4 Sword Dance Chapter 7 The Sword Remains Sheathed

"Meng'er, go back to the inn first, I'll be there in a bit." Hua Ruoxu took a deep breath and said softly to Hua Feimeng, his mind in turmoil.
"You're coming with me." Hua Feimeng disagreed, shaking her head and insisting.
"Meng'er, don't you know what the consequences will be if I appear with you now? What will others think of you?" Hua Ruoxu said helplessly.
"I'm not afraid, so what are you afraid of?" Hua Feimeng retorted angrily, leaving Hua Ruoxu speechless.
If Hua Feimeng wasn't afraid, why was he?
"I don't want to implicate you. Can I come find you after this is over?" Hua Ruoxu said after a long silence.
"If I was afraid of being implicated by you, I wouldn't have saved you. If you think it's shameful to be with me, then don't come along." Hua Feimeng said irritably, turning away angrily. Hua Ruoxu was slightly taken aback, shook his head, took a few steps, and caught up with her.
“Alright, I’ll go with you.” Hua Ruoxu finally made up his mind and gently took her slender hand.
*** *** ***
When Hua Ruoxu and Hua Feimeng appeared hand in hand at the Xiangyang Inn, everyone fell silent.
“Meng’er, you, how come you’re with him?” Hua Cuo spoke first, her voice trembling slightly, whether from anger or surprise, it was unclear.
“Father, didn’t you say Ruoxu was a good person? Don’t forget you treated him like your nephew back then.” Hua Feimeng said calmly.
“You’re Xiao Meng’er?” A voice full of surprise rang out, and Hua Feimeng knew whose voice it was. She took a deep breath and involuntarily tightened her grip on Hua Ruoxu’s hand. She resolutely turned her head and looked in the direction of the voice.
“That’s right, I am Hua Feimeng, also known as Xiao Meng’er from back then.” Hua Feimeng tried to keep her voice calm, but Hua Ruoxu could clearly feel the fluctuation of her emotions. He squeezed her hand tighter to comfort her.
"Ruoxu, let me introduce you. This is Ge Yunxiang, the current leader of the Kunlun Sect, the Azure-Clad Divine Sword. This is his wife, Sun Yunyan, the Yellow-Gauze Jade Sword." Hua Feimeng looked at Hua Ruoxu with tender affection and spoke softly.
"So it's Leader Ge and Madam Ge. I am Hua Ruoxu, greetings to both of you." Hua Ruoxu showed no outward reaction, but was slightly surprised. He had been somewhat suspicious when Hua Feimeng mentioned the Azure-Clad Divine Sword, and now he was certain. Ge Yunxiang, the youngest master on the Heavenly Ranking, had just turned thirty but was already ranked fifth. His wife, Sun Yunyan, was also quite famous in the martial arts world. Some even said that Sun Yunyan's martial arts were almost on par with Ge Yunxiang's, and that the couple had even created a sword technique for mutual practice, making them invincible when their swords were combined.
"Meng'er!" Hua Cuo shattered the table in front of him with a single blow and stood up abruptly.
"Father, I hope you won't interfere in my affairs with Ruoxu. I know what I'm doing." Hua Cuo seemed to have no authority in front of Hua Feimeng, who showed him no respect whatsoever.
"Little Meng'er, you're still so willful." Ge Yunxiang sighed softly.
"Sect Leader Ge, let bygones be bygones. Please don't call me that anymore. I don't want to hear a third person call me Meng'er except my father and Ruoxu." Hua Feimeng's melodious voice only brought a chill.
"Miss Hua, you know that Hua Ruoxu has a bad reputation. Why be with such a person? If you have any difficulties, my husband and I will help you." A gentle and sweet voice, soothing to the ear, belonged to Sun Yunyan.
Hua Ruoxu, however, was observing Ge Yunxiang closely. To be fair, Ge Yunxiang was indeed a rare handsome man, with outstanding demeanor and extraordinary temperament. It was quite normal for Hua Feimeng to have fallen in love with him back then.
Hua Ruoxu didn't seem to care about Sun Yunyan's comments; he was already used to such language. However, his lack of objection didn't mean Hua Feimeng was indifferent; she was quite unhappy.
"Madam Ge, did you personally witness Ruoxu doing anything shameful? If I'm not mistaken, you two must have just come down from Kunlun Mountain," Hua Feimeng said coldly. "If you didn't see it with your own eyes, don't speak carelessly."
"Meng'er, forget it, we need to get down to business," Hua Ruoxu gently advised.
"Mm," Hua Feimeng nodded obediently. Hua Cuo, seeing his precious daughter so disobedient, was furious, his beard bristling and eyes wide. Hua Feihua, however, kept looking at the two with strange eyes, as if she had discovered the most unbelievable situation in the world.

"Master Xue, I only have one question: where did Youyou go?" Hua Ruoxu turned to Xue Mingfeng and asked.
"Hua Ruoxu, you actually have the audacity to come here. I truly admire you." Xue Mingfeng's tone was cold. He had been observing the situation unfold without making a move. Now that Hua Ruoxu had come to him, he naturally couldn't avoid it.
"Master Xue hasn't answered my question yet," Hua Ruoxu said with a calm smile.
"Hua Ruoxu, don't you know what you've done? You conspired with that vixen Su Dai'er to kidnap Youyou, and now you come here to question me." Xue Mingfeng's face was filled with anger. "Hua Ruoxu, let me tell you, don't think that just because that vixen is protecting you, you can do whatever you want!"
"It seems Master Xue's skill in distorting the truth has improved again. I truly admire you." Hua Ruoxu shook his head, looking disappointed. "Since Master Xue is unwilling to tell me where Youyou is, then I have nothing more to say. I'll take my leave."
"Meng'er, let's go," Hua Ruoxu said softly to Hua Feimeng, and they walked out hand in hand.
"Hey, wait, wait!" a voice called out, and Hua Feihua hurriedly got up from his seat and ran over, blocking the two of them.
"Sister, are you... serious?" Hua Feihua stared at the two of them, looking left and right, and finally asked Hua Feimeng.
"I won't wear a veil anymore, all because of Ruoxu. Is that clear enough?" Hua Feimeng glared at Hua Feihua.
"Hua Ruoxu, I suddenly realize I really admire you. You're really amazing. You even managed to fool my sister." Hua Feihua sighed deeply. "But don't get too cocky. You actually made a move on my sister. Don't blame me for making a move on your wife." He was starting to sound a bit incoherent.
"Feihua, are you out of your mind?" Hua Feimeng was both amused and exasperated, glaring fiercely at her beloved younger brother.
"Sister, I'm crazy, but it's because you had your episode first that I'm like this." Hua Feihua looked helpless. "Sister, let me tell you, even if Hua Ruoxu isn't a womanizer, he's still a womanizer. And he's already married. Do you want to be his eighteenth concubine? Sister, are you out of your mind?" As she spoke, a look of pity appeared in Hua Feihua's eyes.
"I'm too lazy to talk to you. Ruoxu, let's go." Hua Feimeng rolled her eyes at Hua Feihua and was about to leave.
Several figures landed in front of them.
"Meng'er, it seems we won't be able to leave so easily today." Hua Ruoxu shook his head and sighed. Ye Wuying and Fang Xia, who had been silent until now, blocked their way.
"Junior Brother, let us handle this." Two more figures appeared in front of them. Ge Yunxiang and Sun Yunyan said to Fang Xia with smiles.
The experts from the four great families were also eager to move, slowly approaching Hua Ruoxu.
"Feng Ping, it's a disgrace for Ruoxu to have a friend like you!" Hua Feimeng glanced at Feng Ping, who was a little distance away, and said coldly.
“Meng’er, I actually expected this outcome. Youyou isn’t here either. It seems there’s really nothing left for me to cherish here.” Hua Ruoxu’s tone was somewhat dejected.
“There’s nothing left for you to cherish in this world either. You can die in peace.” Feng Congyun coldly snorted.
“Young Master Hua, you should give up resisting. If you’re willing to give up, I can spare your life.” Ye Wuying said softly.
“Hua Ruoxu, I heard you’re the youngest expert on the Earth Ranking. It’s a pity you don’t behave properly. It’s a real shame. It seems I, Ge Yunxiang, have no choice but to rid the people of this scourge.” Ge Yunxiang’s voice was still as magnetic and full of energy, but Hua Feimeng suddenly found herself feeling a sense of disgust towards him.
“Ruoxu, I have a way to break through.” Hua Feimeng’s voice transmission rang in Hua Ruoxu’s ear. Hearing her method, Hua Ruoxu was slightly taken aback.
“Hurry up, they outnumber us now, and this place is small. We’re at a disadvantage.” Hua Feimeng urged.
Hua Ruoxu hesitated for a moment. Hua Feimeng's method was indeed good. He thought it best to leave now, because he might not be able to handle Ge Yunxiang and his wife alone, and the place was too small, so escaping wouldn't be easy.
Hua Ruoxu suddenly tapped Hua Feimeng with two fingers, then threw her body towards Ye Wuying, while he himself bounced up and flew towards the door. This was something no one expected, and Hua Feihua was already cursing Hua Ruoxu for being shameless.
Ge Yunxiang let out a soft snort and moved slightly, blocking the doorway. However, he miscalculated. Hua Ruoxu suddenly changed direction in mid-air, flying backward instead of advancing.
"Don't move, or I'll kill her!" Hua Feimeng said coldly. Only then did everyone realize that Ye Wuying was already in her hands. Hua Feimeng's soft sword was around Ye Wuying's delicate neck. With the slightest movement, she would bleed on the spot.
"Meng'er, you, you release her right now!" Hua Cuo roared angrily.
"Ruoxu, let's go." Hua Feimeng ignored Hua Cuo's words, giving Hua Ruoxu a sweet smile. She had just asked Hua Ruoxu to throw her onto Ye Wuying. Given Ye Wuying's personality, she naturally wouldn't ignore her. In reality, Hua Ruoxu hadn't even restrained her pressure points, and Ye Wuying had easily fallen into her hands.
"Meng'er, if you dare to leave, my Hua family will no longer have a daughter like you!" Hua Cuo's hair and beard bristled, clearly extremely angry.
"Father, one day you'll regret those words." Hua Feimeng trembled slightly, but quickly regained her composure and said calmly.
"You'd better not follow us, otherwise she'll only stay in our hands longer." Hua Feimeng glanced at the crowd, then turned and walked out side by side with Hua Ruoxu.
*** *** ***
"Meng'er, isn't what we're doing a little underhanded?" Hua Ruoxu asked with a wry smile.
“This is called giving them a taste of their own medicine. Since they’re being unreasonable, we don’t need to be polite to them either.” Hua Feimeng said, smiling sweetly at Hua Ruoxu. “She hurt you quite badly last time, so today we can vent our anger on her and make her suffer a bit.”
“That’s enough. I think we can let her go now.” Hua Ruoxu said, seeing that they were already about ten miles outside the city.
“Alright, I don’t want to carry a burden anyway.” Hua Feimeng readily agreed, releasing Ye Wuying’s pressure points and pulling Hua Ruoxu away.
Hua Ruoxu turned to look behind them and saw a shadow approaching from afar.
“If I wasn’t worried about her being taken advantage of, I wouldn’t have released her pressure points. Now look what’s happened, she’s catching up.” Hua Feimeng complained.
“She’s alone, it’s fine.” Hua Ruoxu smiled.
“But it’s very troublesome.” Hua Feimeng looked very unhappy.
"Just hurry up, let's shake her off." Hua Ruoxu suddenly channeled all his inner strength, quickening his pace, rushing forward like a shooting star.
"Why run so fast? I'm exhausted." Finally leaving Ye Wuying dozens of miles behind, Hua Ruoxu stopped, but Hua Feimeng was still unhappy, panting and complaining.
The two leaned against a large tree. Hua Ruoxu transferred a wisp of true energy from his hand to Hua Feimeng, who quickly recovered and looked at him with a strange expression.
"How come you're not tired at all?" Hua Feimeng looked puzzled.
"My physique is rather special, which is actually one of the secrets of the Love Sword." Hua Ruoxu hesitated slightly before saying.
Hua Feimeng softly said "Oh," without asking any more questions, and slowly leaned against Hua Ruoxu, her face slightly tilted back, a blush seemingly on her fair face, incredibly beautiful. For a moment, Hua Ruoxu was captivated by her beauty.
Hua Ruoxu gently embraced her slender waist, slowly lowering his head to approach her crimson lips. Hua Feimeng's beautiful eyes were slightly closed, a mixture of excitement, anticipation, and trepidation stirring within her. Their
fiery lips finally met, Hua Ruoxu gently sucking on their fragrance. Hua Feimeng's arms encircled his neck, her body growing increasingly hot and soft, until finally, completely limp, she clung to him.
Hua Feimeng's breathing quickened, her delicate face flushed. She realized her breathing was becoming labored, but Hua Ruoxu showed no sign of stopping. Finally, in desperation, she gently bit Hua Ruoxu's lip. Hua Ruoxu winced in pain and released her.
"Ruoxu, I... let's go. It'll be troublesome if they catch up," Hua Feimeng said softly, avoiding Hua Ruoxu's gaze.
"Someone's already chasing us." Hua Ruoxu's expression suddenly changed slightly. Looking at the beautiful figure that appeared not far away, the two couldn't help but exchange a wry smile. This person was really troublesome.

Volume 4 Sword Dance Chapter 8 Sword Net Love Sky (Part 1)

Ye Wuying emerged from behind a large tree, standing quietly about ten feet away from them, a slight blush on her pretty face.
"Miss Ye is truly patient." Hua Ruoxu's tone was quite helpless. He thought she wouldn't chase after them, but she still managed to catch up.
Ye Wuying's eyes showed a hint of confusion. In fact, she had arrived here a moment earlier, and a small part of Hua Ruoxu and Hua Feimeng's intimacy had fallen into her eyes. Having never seen such a situation before, she couldn't help but feel a slight ripple in her heart. She just couldn't understand why Hua Feimeng was so devoted to being with Hua Ruoxu. At first, she thought Hua Feimeng was threatened by Hua Ruoxu, but when Hua Feimeng took her hostage to help Hua Ruoxu, she knew it wasn't what she thought.
Although Ye Wuying was already a young woman, her emotional world was a blank slate. From childhood, besides practicing martial arts, she followed her father's and master's teachings to become someone who would benefit the martial arts world and the world at large. She had never experienced, and could not understand, the kind of love between men and women. She was not lacking in suitors, but she seemed never to notice them.
"Young Master Hua is too kind. I admire your speed," Ye Wuying said with a slight smile, suppressing her inner turmoil.
"But does Miss Ye really think you can stop both of us by yourself?" Hua Ruoxu gently put his arm around Hua Feimeng's slender waist and took a few steps forward, closing the distance between himself and Ye Wuying.
"Because of my momentary carelessness, Young Master Hua escaped. Therefore, I must personally bring Young Master Hua back," Ye Wuying said resolutely, pursing her lips.
"Does Miss Ye intend to take me back by force now?" Hua Ruoxu felt a mixture of amusement and exasperation.
“Actually, I know in my heart that if Young Master Hua wants to leave, I really have no ability to stop you. However, similarly, if I don't want to leave, neither of you can drive me away. Now let's have a test of patience and see who can hold out longer.” Ye Wuying shook her head and said.
“Ye Wuying, do you believe we can kill you together right now?” Hua Feimeng said indignantly from the side.
“Miss Hua, I believe you may have that ability, but I am not without power.” Ye Wuying smiled faintly. “Moreover, I believe you two will not kill me, and similarly, I will not kill Young Master Hua. I only want Young Master Hua to come back with me to see our fellow cultivators.”
“Ye Wuying, are you sick? You don't want to kill Ruoxu, so why send him to his death?” Hua Feimeng finally started cursing, completely losing her ladylike manners.
“If Young Master Hua is willing to accept his fate, I think they will spare his life.” Ye Wuying said after a moment of silence.
"You... forget it, I'm too lazy to talk to you. Ruoxu, let's go. I think she's either sick or stupid." Hua Feimeng was furious with Ye Wuying and angrily pulled Hua Ruoxu away.
*** *** ***
Hua Ruoxu and Hua Feimeng walked side by side, and not far behind them, a figure followed at a leisurely pace. Hua Ruoxu was now beginning to admire Ye Wuying. If he was fast, she was fast; if he was slow, she was slow, always maintaining a distance of about ten feet. He had originally wanted to shake her off again, but after trying once, he completely gave up. He realized that Ye Wuying was an absolute genius when it came to tracking. Even if Hua Ruoxu could temporarily shake her off, she would definitely reappear in his sight after a while.
Today was the second day, and one thing was fortunate: apart from Ye Wuying, Hua Ruoxu hadn't seen anyone else appear. It seemed that Ye Wuying really intended to catch him herself and hadn't notified anyone else.
"Ruoxu, let's find an inn." Hua Feimeng had been seething with anger the whole way, cursing Hua Ruoxu countless times in her heart. Seeing a small town ahead, her eyes lit up, and she grabbed Hua Ruoxu and ran.
"Innkeeper, a superior room, please!" Hua Feimeng seemed to have thought of something happy; her sweet smile made the innkeeper a little dizzy, not reacting for a long time.
"Miss, you mean one room?" The innkeeper's small eyes seemed to suddenly widen.
"Of course, one room! Do you have any? If not, we'll go somewhere else." Hua Feimeng said somewhat irritably.
"What are you laughing at?" Entering the room, Hua Feimeng noticed Hua Ruoxu staring at her and laughing.
"No, no, I just remembered the way that old innkeeper looked at you." Hua Ruoxu quickly denied it.
"You're so mean! Don't laugh!" Hua Feimeng suddenly understood something, her face flushed, and she glared at Hua Ruoxu.
"Okay, I won't laugh. But Meng'er, it's still so early. Do we really need to rest now?" Hua Ruoxu quickly put on a serious expression.
"Don't you dare think nonsense! I just wanted to get rid of that girl Ye Wuying," Hua Feimeng retorted, her face flushed. She glared at Hua Ruoxu, then changed to a smug tone, "I don't believe she can chase us into our room!"
Hua Ruoxu stared at Hua Feimeng for a long, long time, looking thoughtful as he did so.
"You, don't look! How can you look at someone like that?" Hua Feimeng felt uncomfortable under his gaze and finally couldn't help but speak up.
"Meng'er, I've finally discovered something," Hua Ruoxu said solemnly.
"What is it?" Hua Feimeng asked, somewhat confused.
"I thought you were very quiet, but..." Hua Ruoxu smiled slightly but didn't finish his sentence.
"I used to be quite willful. When I was with him, he often said I was too capricious." Hua Feimeng sighed softly, her expression returning to its usual coolness. She slowly sat down on the edge of the bed, her voice soft and melancholic. "Over the years, I've gotten used to being alone, and I've slowly lost my original personality. I just didn't expect that after being with you, I would slowly find myself again. Don't you like me the way I am now?"
"Meng'er, don't think about those unhappy things. I like you the way you are now, really." Hua Ruoxu gently embraced her, but a slight unease lingered in his heart. Hua Feimeng still couldn't forget Ge Yunxiang.
Hua Feimeng nodded gently, leaning slightly against him, saying nothing more.

Volume 4 Sword Dance Chapter 8 Sword Net Love Sky (Part 2)

Night was approaching, the afterglow of the setting sun radiating its final beauty. At this time, Nangong Xuanyuan would always be in his study.
He quietly looked at a portrait on the wall, his eyes filled with deep affection. The person in the painting vaguely resembled Su Dai'er.
Nangong Xuanyuan walked over gently and softly stroked her cheek. No one would have imagined that the world-renowned number one expert on the Earth Ranking would make such a tender gesture.
"Mei'er, do you know? Our daughter has finally grown up. She's as beautiful and intelligent as you, but unfortunately, she's also as foolish as you, falling in love with someone she shouldn't. But Mei'er, don't worry, I won't let her be like you," Nangong Xuanyuan said softly.
*** *** ***
It was midnight.
A door to an inn opened softly, and two figures slipped out silently. They glanced around and quickly walked away.
"Good morning, Young Master Hua." A soft voice sounded behind them.
Hua Ruoxu looked at Hua Feimeng and smiled bitterly, while Hua Feimeng turned around, her almond-shaped eyes wide, staring fiercely at Ye Wuying.
In the night wind, a white figure stood out, graceful and captivating. A few strands of long hair fluttered in the wind, giving her the air of a fairy descended from heaven. Ye Wuying's face remained calm and composed, yet a faint smile seemed to flicker in her eyes.
"Good morning, Miss Ye." Hua Ruoxu sighed softly, gently taking Hua Feimeng's hand before turning and slowly entering the room.
"It's infuriating! I might as well go kill her!" Hua Feimeng said indignantly.
"Meng'er, Ye Wuying's martial arts are very high. Killing her isn't so easy, and besides, she doesn't really deserve to die," Hua Ruoxu shook his head.
"I think you only did it because she's pretty," Hua Feimeng glared at him.
"Meng'er, what kind of person do you take me for?" Hua Ruoxu said, both amused and annoyed. "Besides, no matter how pretty Ye Wuying is, she's not as pretty as you, Meng'er."
"You're not a good person to begin with. Now I'm asking you, did you do that on purpose? Otherwise, why would you have gone at that exact moment?" Hua Feimeng said indignantly.
"Which time?" Hua Ruoxu looked confused.
"That time, and which other time? You...you haven't forgotten, have you?" Hua Feimeng was getting anxious, wanting to explain but also a little embarrassed to speak.
Hua Ruoxu seemed lost in thought. Had he really forgotten?
"Meng'er, I really don't know what you're talking about." Hua Ruoxu thought for a while and then looked up, still looking confused.
"You!" Hua Feimeng was furious. She pounced on him and punched his chest a few times. "It was that day you ran into my room, and you saw everything. Are you trying to deny it?"
Hua Ruoxu finally couldn't help but burst out laughing. Hua Feimeng's face flushed red, but she was furious inside. Only now did she realize that Hua Ruoxu had been deliberately teasing her.
"Don't laugh! Don't laugh! You're so mean!" Hua Feimeng kept hitting Hua Ruoxu, but Hua Ruoxu laughed even harder. Embarrassed and flustered, Hua Feimeng suddenly wrapped her arms around his neck and offered her cherry lips to him, kissing him.
Hua Ruoxu finally stopped laughing, and was about to savor the sweetness that had been offered to him, when he felt a sharp pain in his mouth. Hua Feimeng had bitten him again
. "Don't laugh at me again!" Hua Feimeng scolded.
Hua Ruoxu began to feel uneasy; Hua Feimeng's witch-like nature was slowly being revealed.
Seeing that she couldn't shake off Ye Wuying, Hua Feimeng prepared to go to sleep. There was only one bed in the room, so Hua Ruoxu had to sleep on the floor, which was pitiful, especially since it was almost winter and sleeping on the floor wasn't something many people could endure.
"Who told you to be so mean? I'll make you suffer a little," Hua Feimeng thought resentfully, huddled under the covers, secretly watching Hua Ruoxu.
Hua Ruoxu sat cross-legged on the ground, beginning a long meditation to pass the long night. His true energy flowed slowly, and Hua Ruoxu gradually entered a meditative state. Suddenly, a white-clad fairy appeared in his mind, smiling sweetly at him.
"Ah, sister!" Hua Ruoxu couldn't help but softly call out, but she immediately vanished, and Hua Ruoxu abruptly awoke from his meditation.
"Sister, are you still in this world?" Hua Ruoxu softly called out in his heart. A cool sensation emanated from his sword, a kind of answer, but Hua Ruoxu still didn't know the answer. Had she really disappeared like that?
Hua Ruoxu gently stood up. Outside, it was still pitch black, and dawn had not yet broken. Looking at the bed, Hua Feimeng was fast asleep, and he sighed softly. He opened the door, not disturbing Hua Feimeng, and quietly went out.
"Good morning, Young Master Hua!" Ye Wuying's voice rang out again at the opportune moment.
“Miss Ye, I think you should go and rest. We won’t be leaving tonight.” Hua Ruoxu shook his head and sighed. He felt helpless and powerless against her persistence.
“Thank you for your concern, Young Master Hua, but if you are willing to go back with Wuying, Wuying will naturally get a good night’s sleep.” Ye Wuying smiled faintly.
“Then I won’t disturb Miss Ye any longer.” Hua Ruoxu thought for a moment and had no choice but to return to his room. Otherwise, Ye Wuying would follow him wherever he went.
*** *** ***
“Meng’er, are you really going back to Mount Hua with me?” Hua Ruoxu couldn’t help but ask again as they were about to enter Shaanxi.
“Yes, didn’t you want to go back? Then I’ll go with you.” Hua Feimeng said matter-of-factly.
“But, my senior sister…” Hua Ruoxu thought for a moment but didn’t finish his sentence. He really didn’t know what Hua Yuluan would do. Last time she could force Jiang Qingyue away, and he couldn’t guarantee what she would do this time.
"I'm not afraid of her at all. I'll go tell her I'm older and prettier than her, and she'll have to listen to me," Hua Feimeng said nonchalantly.
"What?" Hua Ruoxu almost doubted her ears. This was too much of a troublemaker; she could even come up with such a reason.
"Never mind if you didn't hear clearly. Anyway, I'm not afraid of Hua Yuluan, and you don't need to be afraid of her either. You've been chased for so long, and she hasn't come to help you. She's not a qualified wife at all," Hua Feimeng said with a grin, a mischievous look suddenly appearing on her face as she stared at Hua Ruoxu for a long time.
Just as Hua Ruoxu was about to speak, feeling uncomfortable under her gaze, she spoke first, but what she said made Hua Ruoxu even more speechless.
"Ruoxu, I think you should divorce Hua Yuluan and marry Hua Yufeng. She's much better than Hua Yuluan, and she'll be better to you too," Hua Feimeng said seriously, her tone sounding very earnest, not at all like she was joking.

Volume 4 Sword Dance Chapter 9 Sword Challenge and Four Kills (Part 1)

"Meng'er, be careful!" A strong killing intent surged forth, and Hua Ruoxu's expression changed slightly as he whispered a warning.
Sword light flashed, and several white figures rushed forward with a faint whooshing sound.
"Meng'er, they're assassins from the White Robe Tower!" Hua Ruoxu's expression changed again. He had no time to consider why they were coming to kill him. With a clang, his sword, Love Sword, was drawn. Hua Feimeng's expression also instantly turned cold and stern. With a slight flick of her wrist, a small, soft sword appeared in her hand, taut and straight.
With a delicate shout, Hua Feimeng charged forward. Twelve people, twelve swords, all attacked Hua Feimeng simultaneously. Hua Ruoxu did not make a move, because he vaguely sensed something was amiss. Based on his observation, these twelve people were likely just ordinary assassins from the White Robe Tower, not particularly strong. Based on his past experiences fighting the White Robe Tower, if they wanted to kill him, they wouldn't have sent only these few people. However, he couldn't sense anyone else around him, except for Ye Wuying who was following behind.
Hua Feimeng seemed to be handling the twelve White-Clad Tower assassins with ease, posing no danger. Hua Ruoxu slowly turned around, observing his surroundings. Although it was the edge of a forest, there were only a few sparse pine trees, and the surroundings were clearly visible. "Was my suspicion unnecessary?" Hua Ruoxu wondered to himself.
Suddenly, his expression changed drastically. A powerful killing intent attacked, but it didn't come from the surroundings; it came from underground. The sharp force was about to reach the soles of his feet. Hua Ruoxu inhaled sharply and leaped into the air.
"Meng'er, watch out for the ground!" Hua Ruoxu shouted urgently, flipping in mid-air and flying diagonally towards Hua Feimeng.
Hua Feimeng was slightly startled by Hua Ruoxu's warning. Before she could understand what was happening, she felt a pain in her right foot. With a soft groan, Hua Feimeng lightly tapped her left foot, leaping into the air. She spun in mid-air before crashing to the ground with a series of sharp, bloody thuds.
Hua Feimeng landed, her legs giving way, and she stumbled.
"Meng'er, are you alright?" Hua Ruoxu landed beside her, supporting her delicate body.
The twelve white-clad figures who had surrounded Hua Feimeng suddenly retreated rapidly, accompanied by the soft rustling of clothing. Four more white-clad figures appeared opposite them—three men and one woman. He recognized one of them; it was Shan Xiaoyao, one of the Four Assassins of White.
"Ruoxu, don't worry about me, you go first," Hua Feimeng said softly, her face pale.
"Meng'er, what's wrong? Why do you look so pale?" Hua Ruoxu exclaimed in alarm.
"Young Master Hua, Miss Hua has only been slightly poisoned. Don't worry, she won't die for now," Shan Xiaoyao said with a graceful gesture, opening his fan and gently shaking it, a slight smile on his face.
"Despicable!" Hua Ruoxu said hatefully, his eyes flashing with anger.
"For the White Robe Tower, there is no such thing as despicable or not. Our ultimate goal is simply to kill you, Young Master Hua. There is only one outcome: Young Master Hua will spare your life. As for the process, there can be many ways, and we can accept any of them," Shan Xiaoyao said with a calm smile.
"Meng'er, how are you feeling now?" Hua Ruoxu held Hua Feimeng in his arms and asked in a low voice.
"I'm fine for now, but this poison seems very potent, and I'm having trouble suppressing it," Hua Feimeng's voice trembled slightly. "
Shan Xiaoyao, won't you introduce the people around you?" Hua Ruoxu's mind raced as he racked his brains for a solution. If Hua Feimeng were normal, he wouldn't have to worry much; Hua Feimeng alone could handle Shan Xiaoyao. But now, Hua Feimeng had become a burden, which was troublesome.
"So far, only you, Young Master Hua, have been able to mobilize the entire White-Clad Four Assassins. You should feel honored." Shan Xiaoyao's face was still full of smiles, but Hua Ruoxu's heart tightened. Shan Xiaoyao, swords, and blades—the White-Clad Four Assassins. Hua Ruoxu slowly scanned the four, examining their weapons to confirm their identities. The cold, beautiful young woman holding a xiao (a type of Chinese flute) was likely Xiao Wudi; the short, stout middle-aged man wielding a large ring-handled saber was probably Dao Zongheng; and the last one, Jian Tianxia, was about thirty years old, holding a slender, black wooden sword.
"If Young Master Hua trusts Wuying, why not hand over Miss Hua to me?" A melodious voice sounded beside him, and Ye Wuying silently appeared beside Hua Ruoxu.
"Then thank you very much, Miss Ye." Hua Ruoxu hesitated slightly before handing over Hua Feimeng. Although Ye Wuying was hostile towards him, he was certain of one thing: she would never harm Hua Feimeng now. Entrusting Hua Feimeng to her care was a good choice, or rather, he had no other option at this point.
"Fairy Ye has been chasing for so long, yet she comes to help Young Master Hua at the last minute. Truly, life is unpredictable. Could it be that Fairy Ye, like Miss Hua, has fallen in love with Young Master Hua?" Shan Xiaoyao's words were laced with sarcasm. They had originally planned to make their move when Ye Wuying was not around, but unfortunately, they had discovered that Ye Wuying had been following them closely for so many days, making it impossible to avoid her. However, based on the information he had received, he was certain that Ye Wuying would not help Hua Ruoxu, so he finally chose this moment to strike. Just when he thought he had successfully injured Hua Feimeng, he didn't expect his judgment to be wrong; Ye Wuying would actually side with Hua Ruoxu at this crucial moment.
"The White Robe Tower indiscriminately slaughters the innocent; Wu Ying is only acting for the sake of martial arts justice," Ye Wu Ying said calmly. She took Hua Fei Meng's hand, flashed back, and took a white bottle from her robes, pouring a pill into her mouth.
"Hey, what did you give me?" Hua Fei Meng questioned, displeased.
"If you don't want Young Master Hua to be distracted, it's best not to ask for now," Ye Wu Ying said softly. Hua Fei Meng looked up at Hua Ruoxu, who was confronting the Four Killers of the White Robe Tower, and indeed remained silent.
"A defeated opponent from a few months ago, still daring to stand before me today, Brother Shan truly lives up to his reputation as an extraordinary person," Hua Ruoxu said sarcastically. Now he could go all out, but he still dared not be careless.
"My greatest strength, Shan Xiaoyao, is that I will never doubt my abilities because of a single misstep. Young Master Hua, you don't need to use that trick on me. Let's see who's the real deal," Shan Xiaoyao said, completely unfazed by Hua Ruoxu's sarcasm.
The Four Killers struck, leaving no one alive.

Volume 4 Sword Dance Chapter 9 Sword Challenge and Four Kills (Part 2)

True energy rapidly condensed, and the air around the five seemed to suddenly solidify, creating an unusually tense and eerie atmosphere. Hua Ruoxu's killing intent grew stronger, for he knew that if he couldn't win, he and Hua Feimeng would both perish.
A clear, resonant sound rang out, followed by several piercing notes; Xiao Wudi's flute horn signaled the attack.
The flute's sound entered Hua Ruoxu's ears, causing a brief moment of dizziness before returning to normal. At this moment, the other three launched their attacks. Phosphorescent light flickered; Shan Xiaoyao's fan floated over, while Dao Zongheng's broadsword and Jian Tianxia's wooden sword approached from different corners at incredible speed.
Intense killing intent fueled his sword, "Heavenly Star Tears!" Hua Ruoxu shouted, unleashing a vast surge of sword intent. Hua Ruoxu had only one thought in his mind: to kill them without mercy! This sword strike unleashed all his strength and killing intent. For the first time, Hua Ruoxu pushed the Heavenly Star Tear technique to its limit, perfectly embodying its essence: slaughter, merciless slaughter.
Several painful groans rang out. Shan Xiaoyao, his face ashen, collapsed to the ground like a defeated rooster. A trickle of crimson blood flowed from Xiao Wudi's lips. Dao Zongheng's sword had left his hand, while Jian Tianxia watched in anguish as the wood chips scattered in the air—moments ago, those wood chips were his sword.
Hua Ruoxu's face was cold and handsome. He glanced coldly at the four men, slowly took a few steps towards them, and slightly raised his sword again.
White figures flashed, and dozens of white-clad assassins flew over swiftly, lifted the four men on the ground, and then quickly left. Strangely, Hua Ruoxu simply watched them leave.
Suddenly, Hua Ruoxu staggered, almost falling to the ground.
"Ruoxu, what's wrong?" Hua Feimeng rushed over anxiously. She had been listless just moments before, but now seemed much better.
"It's nothing, just a little exhausted. I'll be fine in a bit." Hua Ruoxu forced a smile, feeling somewhat helpless. He had clearly broken through the barrier between life and death, but he still couldn't withstand too much exertion at once. Although his recovery ability was extremely rapid, he still experienced short periods of exhaustion. Perhaps his swordsmanship was incorrect, but he couldn't pinpoint the cause.
"If my sister were here, she would definitely know." Hua Ruoxu sighed inwardly. Hua Tianxing seemed to have truly vanished completely. Was she really no longer in this world?
"Meng'er, are you alright after the poison?" Hua Ruoxu let out a soft "Eh," somewhat surprised.
"Yes, it seems I'm really alright." Hua Feimeng had just realized what had happened and suddenly remembered, "By the way, that girl Ye Wuying gave me something just now. Was it the antidote? But is she really that kind?" She stared at Ye Wuying not far away.
"Thank you for your help, Miss Ye." Hua Ruoxu clasped his hands in thanks. Regardless, Ye Wuying had indeed helped him.
"No need to be polite. As I said, it was only because the White Robe Tower was indiscriminately killing innocent people," Ye Wuying said calmly.
"They were all seriously injured just now, why didn't you kill them?" Hua Feimeng said irritably. Although she knew Ye Wuying had saved her, she still didn't have a good impression of her.
"I... I haven't actually killed anyone yet," Ye Wuying said after a slight pause. "I think that no matter who it is, we should give them a chance to repent. Killing a bad person only reduces the number of bad people in the world; but if we can reform a bad person, then the world not only loses one bad person but also gains a good one."
"What if they can't be reformed?" Hua Feimeng found it somewhat amusing.
"Then they will naturally receive their due punishment, or rather, retribution," Ye Wuying said after thinking for a moment.
"So, Miss Ye isn't planning to reform me now, is she?" Hua Ruoxu felt a bit amused and exasperated.
Ye Wuying looked at Hua Ruoxu and nodded earnestly. Hua Ruoxu smiled bitterly again.

"Thank you very much, Miss Ye. We'll take our leave now." Hua Ruoxu felt that his strength had mostly recovered and prepared to leave.
"If Young Master Hua really wants to thank Wuying, why don't you return to Xiangyang with her?" Ye Wuying suddenly said softly.
"I will definitely remember Miss Ye's help. If I have the opportunity in the future, I will naturally repay her. But this has nothing to do with whether I return to Xiangyang or not." Hua Ruoxu sighed. Ye Wuying's thoughts were hard for him to understand, just as his thoughts were not so easy for Ye Wuying to understand.
Ye Wuying's eyes seemed slightly confused. She stared blankly at the two figures as they walked away. Seeing that they were already quite far away, she quickly followed.
"That girl is still not giving up. I think she's really sick. If she hadn't just saved me, I would have definitely given her a beating." Hua Feimeng said indignantly.
"Meng'er, she saved you, why are you being so mean to her?" Hua Ruoxu said with a smile.
"So what if she saved me? I'm not grateful to her at all. Just because someone saves me doesn't mean I have to thank them. What if a man saved me and demanded I repay him with my body? Would I listen then?" Hua Feimeng argued vehemently, spouting a bunch of fallacies.
"Meng'er, I can't argue with you. Let's just focus on our journey," Hua Ruoxu said helplessly.
"Where did the White Robe Tower get such a potent poison? I'm not afraid of ordinary poisons," Hua Feimeng suddenly stopped, looking very confused.
"It should be the Poison Sect's Soul-Dissolving Powder," Ye Wuying's soft voice drifted over.
"How did you know?" Hua Feimeng looked at her defiantly, then suddenly realized something was wrong. "Why were you eavesdropping on our conversation?"
"I'm sorry, Wuying didn't mean to listen to you two, I just overheard it by accident." Ye Wuying looked a little embarrassed. "As for why I recognized it as Soul-Dissolving Powder, it's just because I know a little about poisons."
"Fine, I won't hold it against you since you saved me earlier." Hua Feimeng seemed about to get angry, but after thinking about it, she didn't. She finished speaking in a huff and turned to speed up and run forward.
Hua Ruoxu, however, was thinking about the White Robe Tower. Who hired the White Robe Tower to kill him? Could it be that the White Robe Tower was also after the Love Sword?
Chang'an was already in sight, and both Hua Ruoxu and Hua Feimeng's feelings underwent subtle changes. The Hua family was nearby, not far from Mount Hua.

Volume 4 Sword Dance Chapter 10 Reunion with the Beauty (Part 1)

Watching the bustling crowds on Chang'an Street, Hua Ruoxu's thoughts surged. So many things had happened to him here. In just a few months, seeing this place again gave him a feeling of things having changed. He had met Jiang Qingyue here; one could say it was here that he began his journey into the martial world.
A girl in green appeared in his sight. Her slightly familiar figure made him almost doubt his own dreams. He rubbed his eyes and looked again carefully. Yes, it really was her. But wasn't she dead? Could there really be two people in the world who looked so alike?
"Meng'er, I have something to do. Wait for me here." Seeing that the girl in green was about to disappear from his sight, Hua Ruoxu couldn't hesitate any longer. He quickly got up, left the restaurant, and rushed towards her. Hua Feimeng paused, dropped a piece of silver, and followed.
"Miss Xiaoyue, Xiaoyue!" The girl walked faster and faster, and just as she was about to turn into a house, Hua Ruoxu called out.
The girl stopped abruptly, her delicate body trembling violently. She slowly turned around and finally saw Hua Ruoxu, her eyes wide with disbelief.
"Bookworm, is that you?" Her voice trembled. Upon hearing this, Hua Ruoxu was certain she was Jiang Xiaoyue, who had previously used the alias Jiang Qingyue.
"Xiaoyue, it's me! You're still alive! I'm so happy! That's wonderful!" Hua Ruoxu grabbed her hand tightly, his excitement making him somewhat incoherent.
Tears welled in Jiang Xiaoyue's eyes, her lips trembled slightly, and she tried to speak, but couldn't utter a word. Suddenly, she burst into tears and threw herself into Hua Ruoxu's arms. Hua Ruoxu held her tightly, letting her sob uncontrollably, gently patting her soft back, offering silent comfort.
Many people were watching, whispering amongst themselves. Hua Feimeng hesitated for a long time before finally walking over.
"Ruoxu, let's find a place to sit down first," Hua Feimeng said softly to Hua Ruoxu.
"Xiaoyue, don't cry, so many people are watching you. Come back to the inn with me first," Hua Ruoxu said gently. Jiang Xiaoyue raised her head, her pretty face, like a pear blossom in the rain, now showing a hint of sadness.
"Bookworm, I... I won't go, I'll stay here," Jiang Xiaoyue choked, her face turning pale. She suddenly broke free from his embrace and pointed to the house next to her.
Feiyunxuan. This house was antique and elegant, not large, but not small either, meeting the standards of an ordinary wealthy family. The three large characters "Feiyunxuan" on the plaque above the entrance appeared exceptionally powerful.
A maid came out of the door and hurried over when she saw Jiang Xiaoyue.
"Young Madam, you're back! Young Master was worried about you, afraid you'd get lost," the maid said respectfully to Jiang Xiaoyue.
"Young Madam? Xiaoyue, you..." Hua Ruoxu's expression changed drastically, somewhat unable to believe his ears.
"Bookworm, I... I'm going in." Jiang Xiaoyue lowered her head, not daring to look him in the eye or answer him. She hurriedly turned and ran inside as if fleeing for her life, a few tears falling from the air.
Hua Ruoxu stared blankly as she disappeared through the door, his heart filled with mixed emotions. The world was unpredictable, truly beyond his comprehension. Recalling the times they had spent together, he now understood Jiang Xiaoyue's feelings for him back then, but it was too late.
"Ruoxu, don't be sad. Perhaps she had her own reasons," Hua Feimeng gently comforted him.
"I should be happy that she's still alive; it will lessen my guilt towards her," Hua Ruoxu forced a smile. "If Sister Qing knew she was still alive, she would be very happy too."
"The owner of Feiyun Pavilion is named Nangong Feiyun, a descendant of the Nangong family. Although the Nangong family has declined, they still possess considerable wealth. Nangong Feiyun is also more capable than his father, and has a small reputation in the martial arts world, ranking second on the Dragon List, only behind Feng Guoyun. Because Nangong Feiyun's father is still alive, I think Xiaoyue's husband must be Nangong Feiyun," Hua Feimeng said softly, glancing at Hua Ruoxu with some pity.
"Xiaoyue jumped off the cliff, how could she become Nangong Feiyun's wife?" Hua Ruoxu murmured. "Could it be that Nangong Feiyun saved her?"
"Ruoxu, let's go in and take a look," Hua Feimeng suggested. Hua Ruoxu pondered for a moment and nodded.

Feiyun Pavilion.
Nangong Feiyun stood with his hands behind his back, quietly gazing at the distant sky. His eyes were bright and piercing, and his handsome, sharply defined face revealed a resolute expression. His long black robe gave him an air of extraordinary elegance.
"Young Master, Young Madam has returned." A maid in green approached.
"Tell Xiaoyue I'm coming over." A gentle smile appeared on Nangong Feiyun's face.

"Xiaoyue, why do you look so pale? Are you feeling unwell? I'll go find a doctor to take a look." Nangong Feiyun returned to the hall and noticed Jiang Xiaoyue's unusually pale face.
"I'm fine, I probably just caught a chill, I'll be alright soon." Jiang Xiaoyue said softly.
"Young Master, a man and a woman are requesting an audience." Another person came in to report.
"Oh?" Nangong Feiyun was somewhat surprised; few people came here. "Please invite them in. Xiaodong, prepare to entertain the guests."
Hua Ruoxu and Hua Feimeng slowly entered, while Ye Wuying did not follow behind them. Hua Ruoxu spotted Nangong Feiyun at a glance, his first instinct being that this was the person he was looking for.
"This must be Young Master Nangong," Hua Ruoxu said, clasping his hands in greeting. "I am Hua Ruoxu."
"I am indeed Nangong Feiyun. Young Master Hua, you are too kind. Please, both of you, take a seat." Nangong Feiyun's expression seemed to change slightly, but it quickly returned to normal. This subtle change did not escape Hua Ruoxu's notice.
"Young Master Nangong, you are too kind. We are merely visiting a friend," Hua Feimeng smiled slightly. "Feimeng and Young Master Nangong are neighbors, yet we have only come to visit now. How could we possibly trouble you?"
"So you are Miss Hua, Feiyun is apologies for his rudeness," Nangong Feiyun's tone seemed somewhat forced.
"It seems Young Master Nangong is quite knowledgeable about the affairs of the martial world." Hua Feimeng
's eyes darted around as she said with a smile. "Not at all, Feiyun is, after all, half a martial artist, how could I not know Miss Hua's name?" Nangong Feiyun said with a calm smile.
"Young Master Nangong, your wife and my wife have some connection, so I came to see her. I hope Brother Nangong won't mind." Hua Ruoxu glanced at Jiang Xiaoyue and found that she didn't dare to look at him at all, keeping her head down and not saying a word.

Volume 4 Sword Dance Chapter 10 Reunion with the Beauty (Part 2)

"Oh? May I ask, Brother Hua, what is your wife's name?" Nangong Feiyun seemed a little surprised.
"Her name is Jiang Qingyue." Hua Ruoxu said slowly, but his eyes remained fixed on Jiang Xiaoyue. Hearing his words, Jiang Xiaoyue's body trembled violently.
"Xiaoyue, this Madam Hua's name is similar to yours, you two wouldn't happen to be sisters, would you?" Nangong Feiyun turned his head and asked.
"This servant greets the young master. Please tell the young lady that I can no longer serve her, and I beg your forgiveness." Jiang Xiaoyue suddenly raised her head, took a few steps forward, and knelt before Hua Ruoxu, looking at him with pleading eyes.
"Xiaoyue, get up quickly." Hua Ruoxu was startled and wanted to help her up, but seeing her eyes, he hesitated.
"Xiaoyue, take good care of yourself. I will talk to your young lady, and I think she won't blame you." Hua Ruoxu took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down, and said slowly.
"Please forgive me for disturbing you, Young Master Nangong. I'll take my leave!" Hua Ruoxu cupped his hands to Nangong Feiyun, sighed inwardly, turned and slowly walked away, his back somewhat lonely.
Perhaps Chang'an was destined to be a place of trouble for Hua Ruoxu; his relationship with Jiang Xiaoyue began here, and it would end here as well. Now that she had found a good home, he shouldn't force her.
*** *** ***
“You really like her?” Hua Feimeng asked softly in the inn room.
“I haven’t spent much time with her, so maybe I can’t even say I like her,” Hua Ruoxu shook his head. “Back then, I was very weak, and she took meticulous care of me. Without her care, I might have died. I don’t know martial arts, but in that critical moment, she still carried me. I survived, but she jumped off a cliff. I always thought she was dead, but today I found out she’s still alive. When I first saw her, I had a feeling that I had to take good care of her from now on, but I don’t know if it’s just a sense of guilt and responsibility towards her?” Hua Ruoxu’s tone was very confused.
“Should we go back to Mount Hua or stay here?” Hua Feimeng hesitated, then said after thinking for a moment.
“Let’s go back to Mount Hua and leave tomorrow,” Hua Ruoxu said after thinking for a moment.
“Ruoxu, have you sensed that Nangong Feiyun is not simple?” Hua Feimeng finally said what she wanted to say.
"Perhaps. If I'm not mistaken, he should know us, or at least he should have known about our affairs long ago, but he pretended to know nothing just now. As for the reason, I don't know," Hua Ruoxu said after thinking for a moment.
"If you really like her, then go and snatch her away," Hua Feimeng suddenly blurted out.
"Meng'er, don't joke around," Hua Ruoxu was slightly taken aback.
"If Hua Yuluan were to marry someone else now, would you try to snatch her away?" Hua Feimeng asked seriously.
"Senior Sister won't marry someone else," Hua Ruoxu said firmly.
"Actually, you don't like Jiang Xiaoyue at all. If you really liked her, you would definitely want to snatch her back, even if you wouldn't actually do it, you couldn't help but think about it. But I dare say you haven't thought about snatching her away yet, so I think you just feel like you want to make it up to her, you don't actually like her," Hua Feimeng began to analyze logically.
"Perhaps," Hua Ruoxu said with a hint of helplessness. He was increasingly unable to understand Hua Feimeng. Sometimes she seemed gentle, sometimes unruly, sometimes seemingly clueless, yet other times appearing to know everything.
*** *** ***
Hua Ruoxu stood quietly by the window. The events of the past six months seemed both distant and recent, vividly clear whenever he recalled them. What would happen in the future? What should he do? He was about to return to Mount Hua, but he now knew very well that he couldn't simply live a peaceful life there. He would eventually return to the martial world; once in the martial world, one's fate is not one's own.
"Ruoxu, what are you thinking about?" Hua Feimeng's soft voice sounded beside him.
"Meng'er, when did you first step into the martial world?" Hua Ruoxu asked gently.
"When I was fourteen, I officially left the Hua family and entered the martial world. At fifteen, I killed my first person. After nineteen, I rarely left the Hua family until recently. It's been a full ten years now," Hua Feimeng said softly.
"What kind of place is the martial world, really? Why does everyone feel like they're not in control of their own destiny?" Hua Ruoxu asked slowly, a hint of confusion in his voice.
"The martial world is a place where the strong are respected. Everyone in the martial world reveres strength. Once you step into the martial world, you must abide by its rules, which are actually quite simple: the strong prey on the weak. But if you have enough strength, you might be able to create a set of rules that only others need to follow. Strength comes in many forms, not just martial prowess, but also money and power," Hua Feimeng said slowly, her tone heavy. "Because only a very few people reach the very top, most people feel like they're not in control of their own destiny once they enter the martial world. But that top is a place almost every martial artist aspires to, and they'll use any means necessary to reach it. But when you reach the top, you have to be constantly on guard against someone trying to take your place. So even if you become the strongest, you're still not in control of your own destiny."
Hua Ruoxu sighed softly. "Martial world youth grow old in the martial world"—this saying seems absolutely true. Could he escape the fate of a martial artist?
"It's getting late, go to sleep." Hua Feimeng's soft, delicate body leaned closer, her previously solemn expression softening with tenderness, her voice becoming incredibly gentle. She whispered shyly in Hua Ruoxu's ear, "You don't have to sleep on the floor tonight, but don't do anything inappropriate."
Hua Ruoxu turned his head to look at her, seeing her face flushed and radiant, and was momentarily stunned. He slowly lowered his head and kissed her soft, cherry-like lips, while simultaneously wrapping his arms tightly around her slender waist.
A gentle knock on the door interrupted their intimacy. Hua Ruoxu reluctantly released Hua Feimeng, but upon opening the door, he was startled again. A young girl stood gracefully in the doorway. She had clearly dressed up carefully, wearing a long red dress, her long hair neatly braided, lightly powdered, her almond-shaped eyes slightly brimming with spring, and her gaze towards Hua Ruoxu seemed somewhat infatuated.

Volume 4 Sword Dance Chapter 11 Spring Dream Without a Trace (Part 1)

"Xiaoyue, it's you?" Hua Ruoxu asked in surprise.
"Would you like to come somewhere with me?" Jiang Xiaoyue said softly. Hua Ruoxu looked at Hua Feimeng, then at Jiang Xiaoyue, and finally nodded.
"Go ahead, I'll wait for you to come back," Hua Feimeng said, her pretty face slightly flushed.
Jiang Xiaoyue led Hua Ruoxu out of the inn and into another inn not far away. Jiang Xiaoyue had already booked a room, which seemed to have been specially decorated. Pink gauze curtains and pink drapes gave the room a warm and festive feel. In the middle of the room, a table of food and wine was already prepared, steaming hot.
"Xiaoyue, what's going on here?" Hua Ruoxu asked, puzzled.
"Bookworm, don't you think it's something to celebrate that we can meet again? I've made some special preparations to celebrate with you over drinks, what do you say?" Jiang Xiaoyue was no longer as uneasy as she had been when she first met Hua Ruoxu during the day, and her tone had become very natural.
"Xiaoyue, can you tell me about what happened after you jumped off the cliff that day?" Hua Ruoxu sighed slightly.
"It's actually very simple. I was lucky enough not to die from the fall, but was saved by someone. I had nothing to repay him with, and since he liked me, I naturally agreed to marry him and become his wife." Jiang Xiaoyue said calmly, without any emotional fluctuation, as if she were recounting something that had nothing to do with her.
"Xiaoyue, if you don't want to, I can help you." Hua Ruoxu thought for a moment and said.
"He's very good to me." Jiang Xiaoyue said leisurely, and after a moment of silence, she said, "Can we not talk about this tonight?"
"Okay, you're right, it's indeed not easy for us to meet again." Hua Ruoxu gently raised his glass, tilted his head back, and drank it all in one gulp.
Jiang Xiaoyue kept pouring wine for Hua Ruoxu. Hua Ruoxu felt a strange melancholy in his heart, and accepted all the wine offered. Before he knew it, he had finished a whole pot. Gradually, his ears burned, his mind became increasingly hazy, and a fire seemed to slowly ignite within him.
In his hazy state, he seemed to feel a soft body leaning against him, and then he lost consciousness.
*** *** ***
Hua Ruoxu opened his eyes, feeling dizzy and lightheaded. He reached for his sword, took a deep breath, circulated his inner energy, and instantly became fully awake. He vaguely remembered what happened last night, sat up in bed, and looked around the room. He found that Xiaoyue was no longer there, and the furnishings were exactly the same as when he arrived yesterday. However, some lingering memories told him that something seemed to have happened last night, but he had no memory of that time. Had he been completely asleep? He vaguely remembered that before he fell asleep, he seemed to have embraced someone, and at that time, only Xiaoyue should have been beside him. Could it be…? He suddenly realized something and quickly got out of bed, only to find his clothes neatly dressed, untouched. He hesitated for a moment, then lifted the covers; the sheets were still clean, without a trace.
Hua Ruoxu breathed a slight sigh of relief, but then frowned again. He felt something was still amiss, but couldn't quite put his finger on it. After thinking for a long time, he still couldn't figure it out. Seeing that it was getting late, and knowing he hadn't gone back last night, Hua Feimeng was probably still waiting for him at the inn. Hua Ruoxu sighed softly, opened the door, and went out.
Returning to the inn dejectedly, he found a slightly anxious, pretty face at the door. Seeing Hua Ruoxu return, Hua Feimeng finally breathed a sigh of relief.
“Why are you so late? I worried about you all night,” Hua Feimeng said softly, throwing herself into his arms.
“Meng’er, I…” Hua Ruoxu hesitated, wanting to say something but finding himself unable to speak. In the end, he could only sigh and gently embrace her.
"You smell so good." Hua Feimeng's tone turned resentful.
"Ah, Meng'er, are you serious?" Hua Ruoxu let out a soft "ah" and quickly asked.
"Of course it's true, it's not my scent at all." Hua Feimeng looked unhappy.
"Meng'er, wait for me a moment, I'll be right back." Hua Ruoxu had an even stronger sense of unease, gently pushed Hua Feimeng away, and said softly to her.
"I'll go with you!" Hua Feimeng followed, and Hua Ruoxu thought for a moment and didn't stop her.
*** *** ***
"My young master and young mistress have already left." After returning from Feiyun Pavilion, Hua Ruoxu was still thinking about the maid's words.
"Left? When did they leave?" Hua Ruoxu was surprised at the time.
"They left early this morning. I don't know where the young master and mistress went. The young master often leaves suddenly, I'm used to it." The maid didn't seem to be lying.
"Ruoxu, what happened?" Hua Feimeng asked softly.
"I also want to know what happened," Hua Ruoxu said with a bitter smile. "Unfortunately, I know nothing."
"Let's go, it's time to go back to Mount Hua." Hua Ruoxu's leisurely tone seemed to drift from the heavens, and Hua Feimeng nodded subconsciously.
Last night's events seemed like a dream. Perhaps he shouldn't have reunited with Jiang Xiaoyue, perhaps he should have just pretended she hadn't survived. But could he do that? Could he even do it?
The closer he got to home, the more timid he became; the Mount Hua Sword Sect was getting closer and closer.
*** *** ***
As the sun began to set, Hua Ruoxu stood quietly at the entrance of the Mount Hua Sword Sect, looking at the magnificent characters on the gate, but suddenly felt a sense of trepidation. He really wanted to go in; he desperately wanted to see Hua Yuluan. However, he dared not go in, because he didn't know if Hua Yuluan would still treat him the same way as before, if she still loved him.
Hua Feimeng stood beside him, silent, while Ye Wuying stood not far behind. Her patience was truly admirable; she had actually caught up with Mount Hua.
"I am sorry for not welcoming you properly, Fairy Ye and Miss Hua." A gentle voice came from the doorway, and then Hua Tianyun appeared before the three of them.
Hua Ruoxu was slightly taken aback; he never expected his master to come out in person.
"Greetings, Master!" Hua Ruoxu knelt on one knee.
"Luan'er is waiting for you. You go ahead. I will take care of Fairy Ye and Miss Hua." Hua Tianyun gave Hua Ruoxu a deep look and said calmly.
"Fairy Ye, Miss Hua, this way please." Hua Tianyun ignored Hua Ruoxu and began to greet Hua Feimeng and Ye Wuying. Hua Feimeng wanted to say something but had no choice but to follow Hua Tianyun inside. With Hua Tianyun's status, he had come to greet her personally; what could she say? Ye Wuying, however, was quite happy, because she had originally planned to ask Hua Tianyun for the person directly.

Volume 4 Sword Dance Chapter 11 Spring Dream Without Trace (Part 2)

At the entrance of Luanfeng Pavilion, Hua Ruoxu lingered again.
"Miss, should I go and invite the young master in?" In the Phoenix Pavilion, Han Shuang asked Hua Yu Feng in a sweet voice.
"No need, he's looking for my sister, he'll go in." Hua Yu Feng gently shook her head, a faint trace of melancholy in her eyes.
"Miss, why didn't you tell the young master you…" Han Shuang became anxious.
"Xiao Shuang, don't meddle." Hua Yu Feng interrupted Han Shuang, looking down at Hua Ruoxu through the curtains, her eyes softening with tenderness, her voice low and gentle, "He already has too many things weighing on his mind
." Hua Ruoxu gently pushed open Hua Yu Luan's boudoir door. She was sitting in front of her dressing table, seemingly lost in thought, staring at the mirror. Looking at this familiar and moving figure, Hua Ruoxu felt a surge of inexplicable excitement.
She seemed unaware of Hua Ruoxu's arrival, remaining motionless even when he was right behind her. However, Hua Ruoxu noticed her body trembling slightly; clearly, she knew who it was.
A day apart felt like three autumns. Hua Ruoxu could no longer control his emotions. He suddenly embraced her delicate body from behind, holding her tightly and unwilling to let go.
"Senior Sister, I missed you so much!" Hua Ruoxu murmured in her ear.
"Why did you come back? Didn't you leave? If you left, don't come back!" Hua Yuluan suddenly broke free from his embrace and screamed at him.
"Senior Sister, I really missed you so much, really." Hua Ruoxu paused for a moment, then hugged her again, this time even tighter.
"Go away, go away, and don't come back." Hua Yuluan pounded his chest with both hands, calling out repeatedly, her voice gradually fading until it sounded like a dream, her eyes already filled with tears.
Hua Ruoxu cupped her pretty face, looking into her tearful eyes, and could no longer suppress the surging passion in his heart, kissing her fiercely. Hua Yuluan hugged his neck tightly, responding passionately; all her resentment had vanished without a trace after seeing him.
Time flew by, and night slowly fell. Hua Ruoxu gently picked up Hua Yuluan and walked to the bedside. The red curtains fluttered, and pieces of her light robes fell to the ground.

Feimeng paced back and forth in her room, restless. Hua Tianyun had received her and Ye Wuying with excessive politeness, almost to the point of being unbearable, but he barely gave her a chance to speak. Several times she tried to ask to see Hua Ruoxu, but Hua Tianyun always changed the subject just as she was about to open her mouth. Finally, Hua Tianyun arranged guest rooms for the two of them, leaving her standing there.
Hua Feimeng finally couldn't take it anymore and opened the door to leave, but she paused, startled to see someone standing there—it was Hua Yufeng.
"Miss Hua, aren't you resting so late?" Hua Yufeng said softly.
"Miss Hua, aren't you the same?" Hua Feimeng retorted defiantly.
“My junior brother is with my sister now, and I don’t want anyone to disturb them.” Hua Yufeng gave Hua Feimeng a deep look and said, “Miss Hua, you should understand what I mean, right?”
“I understand, you just don’t want me to go see Ruoxu, right? But I’ve already said that Hua Yuluan is not qualified to be his wife at all.” Hua Feimeng looked at Hua Yufeng with a grin and said, “If you marry him, Second Miss, I will definitely listen to you and leave here immediately.”
“Miss Hua, perhaps you really like him, but is the real reason why Miss Hua keeps pursuing him really just because you like him?” Hua Yufeng was silent for a moment, her beautiful eyes shooting out several cold beams of light.
"Of course I like him. I like men as devoted as him the most." Hua Feimeng's expression changed slightly, but she quickly regained her cheerful smile and looked at Hua Yufeng with a strange gaze. "But I'm not like you, Second Miss, who can pretend nothing's wrong when you love him so deeply." "Two
nights ago, at three in the morning, Miss Hua, I don't need to tell you who you met, do I?" Hua Yufeng's delicate body trembled slightly, and her usually gentle tone turned icy.
Hua Feimeng's body stiffened, and her face instantly turned pale. She looked at Hua Yufeng with disbelief in her eyes.
"You don't need to wonder how I know. Anyway, you're leaving here tomorrow. My sister isn't so easy to talk to." Hua Yufeng's tone softened slightly.
"You don't need to threaten me. I didn't do anything to betray him." Hua Feimeng took a deep breath, and her expression slowly returned to normal.
"I believe you are sincere towards him, and I also believe you haven't done anything to betray him. However, if you spend more time with him, can you guarantee you won't do anything to betray him?" Hua Yufeng's tone was gentle, but without any accusation. "Many things are beyond our control. You have your identity, and you have your responsibilities. Leaving him temporarily is a good choice for both of you. As long as you are sincere towards him, I believe you can still be with him in the future. If you are unwilling to do so, perhaps you will regret it soon."
Hua Feimeng's expression kept changing, as if she was making a very difficult choice.
"I want to see him once." Hua Feimeng finally spoke, her tone slightly annoyed and unwilling.
"You can meet him in the martial world later. He won't leave my sister to see you these days." Hua Yufeng sighed softly, and after saying this, she ignored Hua Feimeng's reaction and slowly turned to leave. Watching her somewhat lonely figure, Hua Feimeng stood at the door for a long time in a daze.
"You think you can force me away like that? Not so easy. I'm not as stupid as Jiang Qingyue." Hua Feimeng wrinkled her cute nose, gave a soft hum, turned around and sat on the edge of the bed, tilting her head as she thought about something, a puzzled look on her face. Who exactly is Hua Yufeng? How does she know such a secret? She definitely shouldn't just be the second young lady of the Huashan Sword Sect.
In the Luan Pavilion, spring was still in full bloom, the waves churning.

Hua Ruoxu gently stroked Hua Yuluan's crystal-clear skin. After their intimate moment, Hua Yuluan's skin was flushed with a slight pink. She nestled obediently against Hua Ruoxu, appearing quite weak at this moment.
"Senior Sister." Hua Ruoxu gently kissed her cheek and called out affectionately.
"Stop it, I want to sleep." Hua Yuluan pouted.
"Senior Sister, do you know? I'm really worried, afraid you won't talk to me anymore." Hua Ruoxu murmured.
"Sleep, we can talk about it tomorrow," Hua Yuluan said softly, her expression changing slightly, but Hua Ruoxu didn't notice. He held her tightly, his heart filled with contentment and happiness.

The early winter dawn slipped gently in through the cracks in the window. Hua Yuluan gazed quietly at the bronze mirror, a faint blush appearing on her face. Hua Ruoxu had already woken up. He reached for something empty, and with a slight urge, sat up, then stared intently at Hua Yuluan's beautiful and captivating back.
He quietly dressed and got out of bed, then quietly came up behind her and embraced her.
"Father is waiting for you in the study. Go quickly after breakfast," Hua Yuluan said softly. She had been woken up early by her precious younger sister, but Hua Ruoxu seemed to be sleeping very soundly in Hua Yuluan's room, showing no reaction at all, so she didn't disturb him.

"Greetings, Master," Hua Ruoxu said respectfully as he came up behind Hua Tianyun.
"Ruoxu, don't call me Master anymore." Hua Tianyun sighed softly, turned around, and said in a kind tone, "From now on, I'm just your father-in-law. You can just call me Father-in-law."
"Yes, Father-in-law," Hua Ruoxu said softly, his voice choked with emotion, a strange sadness welling up inside him. Although the master-disciple bond of many years still existed, in name, he had indeed been expelled from the sect.
"Now that you're back, don't go out again. No matter what you've done outside, you can live your life in peace on Mount Hua." Hua Tianyun's voice was slightly somber. "Feng'er said she believes you're innocent, and I believe her too, but we can't expect everyone to believe that. But at least I can guarantee that as long as you're on Mount Hua, no one will bother you." "
Thank you, Master, oh no, Father-in-law." A warm feeling welled up in Hua Ruoxu's heart.
“Luan’er is rather willful, but I think you understand her feelings for you,” Hua Tianyun sighed softly. “Her mother passed away early, and I don’t know how to raise a daughter. But no matter what, you’re a man now, so don’t hold grudges against her over trivial matters.”
“Father-in-law, don’t worry, I will treat my senior sister well. I will never let her suffer any injustice,” Hua Ruoxu said sincerely.
“That’s for the best. I can finally put my mind at ease,” Hua Tianyun nodded in satisfaction.
Hua Tianyun didn't speak again, but he didn't let Hua Ruoxu leave either. He stared blankly out the window, while Hua Ruoxu stood quietly behind him, and an unusual atmosphere seemed to fill the air.
"Ruoxu, do you know how old Feng'er is this year?" Hua Tianyun suddenly turned around and asked.
"Second Senior Sister, she should be around twenty years old." Hua Ruoxu was slightly taken aback. Although she didn't understand why Hua Tianyun would ask this question, she still answered him honestly.
"At this age, she should be looking for a good family." Hua Tianyun pondered for a moment, then sighed softly.
"With Senior Sister's unparalleled beauty, she will definitely find a husband she's satisfied with." Hua Ruoxu said, looking down, but a strange unease seemed to creep into her heart.
“Yes, with Feng’er’s qualities, she can marry into any family she wants.” Hua Tianyun nodded slightly, but then changed the subject, “It’s just a pity that over the years, countless suitors have come to propose marriage, but Feng’er has never even shown her face to them.”
“Perhaps Second Senior Sister hasn’t met the right person yet,” Hua Ruoxu said somewhat reluctantly.
“I asked Feng’er, but she told me that she doesn’t plan to marry in this life.” There seemed to be a trace of regret in Hua Tianyun’s tone, “Before Feng’er’s mother passed away, she asked me to raise her two daughters to adulthood and find them good husbands. Now that Luan’er is in your care, I’m at ease, but I can’t rest easy about Feng’er!”
“Ruoxu, do you know why I’m telling you all this?” Hua Tianyun suddenly stared intently at Hua Ruoxu, his tone suddenly becoming much more serious.
“Father-in-law, I… I don’t quite understand.” A sense of foreboding rose in Hua Ruoxu’s heart, and he forced a smile.
"Go and try to persuade Feng'er for me. Neither Luan'er nor I could persuade her. Now it's up to you to convince her," Hua Tianyun said casually.
"Second Senior Sister... she probably won't listen to me," Hua Ruoxu said, his heart tightening, his voice clearly lacking confidence.
"I know, but I'm just asking you to try. If you can't persuade her, I won't blame you," Hua Tianyun said, gently placing his hand on his shoulder.

Hua Ruoxu walked back somewhat dejectedly. The Luanfeng Pavilion, which he had been so eager to visit, now filled him with a sense of dread. What should have been a short journey felt incredibly long. Just a month ago, he had never imagined that Hua Yufeng would have romantic feelings for him. But ever since Hua Feimeng told him that Hua Yufeng loved him, he occasionally recalled their time together and was shocked to realize that Hua Yufeng's care for him over the years seemed no less than that of Hua Yuluan. During his absence from Mount Hua, she not only sent her personal maid to find him but also made several trips down Mount Hua for his sake.
Although Hua Tianyun spoke of Hua Yufeng casually, he now vaguely understood that Hua Tianyun must have discovered something; otherwise, he wouldn't have asked him to persuade Hua Yufeng to marry. However, if things were really as he imagined, the consequences of his persuasion made him afraid to think further.
Hua Ruoxu felt each step incredibly heavy, his legs like lead, unable to lift. Suddenly, a fragrant breeze wafted in, and a soft, sweet-smelling body nestled into his arms.
"Ruoxu, come with me quickly, I couldn't find you last night," Hua Feimeng said in a coquettish voice, pulling Hua Ruoxu along. Hua Ruoxu hesitated slightly, glanced at the Luanfeng Pavilion not far away, gritted his teeth slightly, and finally turned around and left with Hua Feimeng. At the same time, he felt a sense of relief, as if he had been liberated.
