Volume 5, Chapter 11: Sisters' Heart-to-Heart Talk.

Looking at Liu Yun's helpless eyes, Hua Ruoxu felt a pang of unease. He was puzzled by Su Dai'er's reasons for kicking Liu Yun out, but now, Liu Yun's expression didn't seem fake.
Countless eyes in the hall were fixed on Hua Ruoxu, seemingly awaiting his decision. Hua Yufeng's eyes held a hint of anxiety; based on her understanding of Hua Ruoxu, he certainly wouldn't abandon Liu Yun.
Hua Yufeng's judgment was indeed correct. Under the watchful eyes of everyone, Hua Ruoxu bent down and reached out to support Liu Yun.
Hua Ruoxu sighed inwardly. If Dai'er had truly kicked Liu Yun out, it was most likely related to him; otherwise, Liu Yun wouldn't have come to him.
"Junior brother, Miss Liuyun, as a disciple of the Demon Palace, is likely here today to gather intelligence on our Seven Sects and Four Families Alliance. Take her to my room first; I want to interrogate her personally!" Hua Yufeng suddenly spoke up. Hua Ruoxu was slightly taken aback, but immediately understood that Hua Yufeng was trying to help him out of a predicament.
"Yes, Second Senior Sister!" Since Hua Yufeng was going to put on an act, he naturally had to cooperate. After answering politely, Hua Ruoxu helped Liuyun towards the Alliance Leader's palace. At this moment, Hua Yufeng also got up, preparing to leave the hall.
"Alliance Leader, why are you..." Someone spoke up. It was Ge Yunxiang, the Kunlun Sect Leader. Clearly, he wanted to oppose Hua Yufeng's decision. Many others were the same; they were all waiting to see Hua Ruoxu make a fool of himself, but Hua Yufeng's actions had ruined their plans.
"Sect Leader Ge, am I not allowed to interrogate someone alone as the Alliance Leader?" Hua Yufeng said calmly, interrupting Ge Yunxiang before he could finish speaking.
No one spoke again, watching helplessly as Hua Ruoxu easily took Liuyun away. Although many felt resentful, they were powerless to stop it.
"You, Hua Yufeng, you'd do anything for your lover!" Ye Bu'er thought bitterly.

In Hua Yufeng's palace, Hua Yuluan, Hua Yufeng, and Hua Ruoxu all watched Liuyun, but their feelings seemed to differ. Liuyun looked at Hua Yuluan and Hua Yufeng, then at Hua Ruoxu, hesitating to speak.
"Sister, let's go to your room first," Hua Yufeng sighed softly and said gently to Hua Yuluan. Hua Yuluan looked at Hua Yufeng with a strange expression, nodded slightly, and went out first.
Hua Yufeng glanced at Hua Ruoxu with tender eyes, then turned and followed Hua Yuluan.
"Liuyun, what happened? Why did Dai'er kick you out?" Hua Ruoxu asked softly.
“Young Master, after you left, Miss…she was very angry,” Liu Yun said somewhat nervously. “Then, she kicked me out and told me to come find you. If I want to go back, unless…unless…”
“Unless what?” Hua Ruoxu interrupted, seeing that she hadn’t gotten to the bottom of it.
“Miss said that unless you marry her, I can go back to her with you,” Liu Yun finally said, recounting the whole story without omitting a single detail, knowing that the clearer she explained, the better her chances of getting Hua Ruoxu to take her in.
“It seems I really did hurt you,” Hua Ruoxu sighed. “But how could Dai’er blame you? You can’t be blamed for what happened today.” Thinking of his passion with Dai’er today, a strange feeling rose in his heart again.
“Even if Miss is angry with the Grand Elder, she can’t do anything to him. You’ll know the reason later, Young Master,” Liu Yun said softly.
"How about this, I'll take you to find Dai'er now," Hua Ruoxu said after thinking for a moment. His mind was in turmoil. He couldn't leave Liuyun here. Hua Yufeng could help him once, but not forever. Besides, he didn't want to put her in a difficult position.
"Young Master, you can't! You can go to Miss, but please don't take me. Otherwise, Miss will be angry, and then I'm afraid it will be even harder for me to go back," Liuyun said, her face pale and terrified.
"But you can't really come with me, can you?" Hua Ruoxu said helplessly.
"Young Master, you must take me in! Otherwise, otherwise I definitely won't survive! Miss said I have to stay with you!" Liuyun said, her voice trembling with tears. "If Miss finds out I left alone, I'll definitely die!"
"Liuyun, you've always been Dai'er's closest maid. She might just be angry for a moment," Hua Ruoxu said, somewhat skeptical.
“Young Master, I’ve been with Miss since I was a child. I know her well. She always keeps her word. Although she’s always been very good to me, today, after you left, Miss must think I disturbed you, which is why you wanted to leave.” Liu Yun sobbed, her shoulders shaking, her words broken. “Young Master, if you don’t want to take me in, you might as well kill me.”
“But, Liu Yun, how can I take you in now? Everyone knows you’re Dai’er’s maid. If I let you stay with me, how can I explain it to others? Not to mention others, even my senior sister, I can’t persuade her.” Hua Ruoxu was a little annoyed. He didn’t know what Dai’er was thinking. Wasn’t she deliberately trying to cause him a lot of trouble?
“I, I don’t care. I’m going to stay with you. Miss did it all for you, otherwise she wouldn’t have sent me away!” Liu Yun’s expression changed, and after a long silence, she suddenly shouted angrily at Hua Ruoxu. Liu Yun was never a good-tempered girl. Having followed Su Dai'er for so long, she'd never suffered any real loss. Today, she'd endured more grievances than she'd ever suffered in her entire life, and finally, she couldn't take it anymore.
"If you're unhappy, you can leave. Miss won't do anything to you. If Miss's unhappy, she can just kick me out. Why should a little maid like me have to suffer for your problems?" Liu Yun said indignantly.
Hua Ruoxu was stunned by her outburst, unsure what to say. To be honest, Liu Yun was truly innocent.

In Hua Yuluan's room, the two sisters stood side-by-side by the window, an unusual atmosphere filling the air.
"Sister, all these years, it's my fault for wronging you," Hua Yuluan suddenly spoke, her tone gentle. In truth, Hua Yuluan had always doted on Hua Yufeng.
"Sister, what are you saying? You've always been very kind to me," Hua Yufeng said with a forced smile.
“Actually, everyone on Mount Hua knows your feelings for him, except for my junior brother who's kept in the dark. How could I not understand?” Hua Yuluan said softly. “It’s just that I’m truly sorry to you, selfishly pretending not to know anything.”
“Sister, don’t misunderstand. Actually, there’s nothing between my junior brother and me.” Hua Yufeng’s delicate body trembled slightly as she lowered her head and said.
“Last night, he thought I was really asleep. But even if I was asleep, how could I not know he left?” Hua Yuluan sighed softly.
Hua Yufeng remained silent because she didn’t know what to say. It was obvious that Hua Yuluan already knew about her relationship with Hua Ruoxu, and if she insisted on denying it, it would seem too hypocritical.
“Sister, don’t worry, I will definitely not look for him again.” Hua Yufeng said as if she had made a great decision.
"What if he comes looking for you? Can you refuse him?" Hua Yuluan shook her head and said softly, "Sister, I've thought about this for a long time. We sisters have always been inseparable since we were little. Now that we both like our junior brother, it would actually be a good idea for us to marry him together."
"Sister, you...you mean it?" Hua Yufeng was surprised. Knowing Hua Yuluan as she did, she knew she wouldn't say such things, and she would never willingly share a man with another woman, even if that woman was her own sister.
"You're my sister, would I lie to you?" Hua Yuluan's voice was still gentle. "From now on, the two of us sisters will stay with him on Mount Hua, not going anywhere else. He'll be very happy."
"Sister, you mean just us staying with him on Mount Hua?" Hua Yufeng vaguely understood the implication in Hua Yuluan's words and asked somewhat uncertainly.
"Yes, don't you think it would be wonderful if the three of us were together, with no one else bothering us?" Hua Yuluan's face showed a dreamy expression, her voice almost murmured in a dream. "Sister, don't you think it's good? He'll be content with us, won't he?"

"Sister, many things in this world are perhaps preordained by fate. If you had listened to my advice and hadn't forced him down the mountain, none of this would have happened. He would have stayed with you, and you could have grown old together, until the end of time." Hua Yufeng's voice seemed to come from the distant sky, ethereal and uncertain. "But sister, some things can't be undone. We can't pretend they never happened. I never dared to ask to be his wife, although I would be very happy if I could marry him. But I can't use that to force him to do something he doesn't want to do. Sister, I appreciate your kindness."
"How could that be? Don't you like him very much? Don't you want to be with him?" Hua Yuluan seemed quite surprised by Hua Yufeng's reaction.
“Sister, there are many ways to like someone, but unfortunately you won’t understand now,” Hua Yufeng sighed softly.
“I don’t understand. I only know that he is my husband, mine alone!” Hua Yuluan shouted at her younger sister. “You are my own sister, so even though I’m unhappy, I still gave you a chance, and you still say I’m wrong!”
“Sister, are you really only giving me this chance because I’m your sister?” Hua Yufeng sighed softly. “Actually, you understand, and I understand, the real reason isn’t that.” Hua
Yufeng slowly walked out of Hua Yuluan’s room, feeling a slight pang of sadness. She understood that Hua Yuluan only hoped she could help her keep Hua Ruoxu by her side. Hua Yuluan knew that many beautiful young women were around Hua Ruoxu, and she didn’t know a better way to make him leave those women, so she began to pin her hopes on her younger sister.
She didn’t want to force Hua Ruoxu. In fact, she understood that even if she really helped Hua Yuluan, if one day Hua Ruoxu no longer had any other young women around him, then Hua Yufeng would still have to leave him.
Arriving at the palace gate, Hua Yufeng hesitated to enter, for Hua Ruoxu was still inside. She was afraid to face him, unsure how to ask him to stop seeking her out.
*** *** ***
Hua Ruoxu remained silent for a long time. Although Liu Yun was right—she was innocent—it was impossible for him to take her in. Just as he was fretting, he heard soft footsteps and turned to see Hua Yufeng hesitating at the gate.
"Second Senior Sister," Hua Ruoxu said, as if seeing a savior.
"If you want to take her away, do it quickly. As for the sect leaders, I will naturally handle that," Hua Yufeng said softly, her heart filled with complex emotions.
"If she's willing to leave, that's fine. The problem is she refuses to leave, insisting on following me," Hua Ruoxu said helplessly, then added, "Right, Second Senior Sister, please keep an eye on her for me. I'm going to find Dai'er." Based on his assessment, only Su Dai'er could persuade Liu Yun to leave.
"Shouldn't you tell your sister first?" Hua Yufeng asked after thinking for a moment.
*** *** ***
"What about that Liu Yun?" After Hua Yufeng left, Hua Yuluan sat on the bed in a daze. The sound of Hua Ruoxu entering the room startled her. Seeing that he came in alone, she asked.
"I told her to stay with Second Senior Sister for a while," Hua Ruoxu answered truthfully. "Senior Sister, I have to go out for a bit."
"To find Su Dai'er?" Hua Yuluan was silent for a moment, then looked up and asked calmly.
"Liu Yun would rather die than leave, but I can't leave her here. Liu Yun listens to Dai'er the most, so I think I have no choice but to go to her." Hua Ruoxu didn't want to hide anything from Hua Yuluan and answered honestly.
"Come back soon," Hua Yuluan said softly.
Hua Ruoxu was taken aback, not expecting Hua Yuluan to agree so easily.
As Hua Ruoxu turned to leave, Hua Yuluan clenched her fists tightly, and her pretty face slowly turned cold. After all, she wasn't Hua Yufeng; she couldn't possibly remain indifferent while her lover was meeting other girls.
*** *** ***
"Young Master Hua, where are you going so late?" Hua Ruoxu had just reached the courtyard and was about to reach the Ye family's gate when a cold, somewhat eerie voice came from behind him.
"Master Ge, are you still awake so late?" Hua Ruoxu smiled slightly. "I heard the night view of Jinling City is quite nice. I'd like to go out and see it. If Master Ge is interested, why don't we go together?"

Volume 5, Chapter 12, Drunken Truth

"Brother Hua, this is not right of you. Your wife is right here, and you actually want to go to the Qinhuai River again. Sigh." Hua Feihua was also there, shaking his head as he spoke. In fact, not only was he there, but almost all the experts from various sects were present, seemingly waiting for Hua Ruoxu to go out.
“Brother Hua, if you’re interested, you can come along. Perhaps I’ll even need you to show me the way.” Hua Ruoxu smiled, glancing at the others. “If everyone is interested, feel free to join me. If not, I’ll take my leave.”
“Brother Hua, you once said something like, ‘I don’t seek to benefit others, but only to have a clear conscience.’ I wonder if you still remember?” Fang Xia sighed softly.
“Thank you for reminding me, Brother Fang. Although I’m not talented, I believe I’ve acted with a clear conscience.” Hua Ruoxu smiled gently and said calmly.
After saying this, Hua Ruoxu continued walking slowly forward.
“Young Master Hua, I’ve long heard of the bustling activity on the Qinhuai River, but unfortunately, it’s inappropriate for a young lady like me to go alone. Since Young Master Hua is going today, I’ll fulfill my wish. I hope you won’t mind?” A soft female voice sounded beside him, carrying a faint fragrance. Ye Wuying silently approached Hua Ruoxu.
Hua Ruoxu inwardly groaned. He hadn't expected anyone to actually go with him, and even less that it would be Ye Wuying. However, he had already spoken, so he couldn't refuse and could only nod helplessly.
"Even Fairy Ye is going, how can we be left out? Brother Fang, don't you think so?" Hua Feihua flashed to Fang Xia's side, patted his shoulder, and said with a grin.
Fang Xia was slightly taken aback. He looked at Hua Feihua, then at Hua Ruoxu and Ye Wuying who had already walked out the door. After a moment's thought, he actually followed. Hua
Feihua, with a playful expression, took a couple of steps and followed as well. At this moment, Hua Ruoxu could only smile bitterly. What could he say? It was impossible for him to take so many people to see Su Dai'er. It seemed that today he might really have to go to the Qinhuai River.
"Brother Fang, do you think Brother Feng will come today?" Hua Feihua and Fang Xia started chatting idly.
"How would I know?" Fang Xia said somewhat irritably. He wasn't very familiar with Hua Feihua before, but now Hua Feihua acted as if she knew him very well, which made him feel a little uncomfortable.
"Weren't you and him always Ye Xianzi's protectors?" Hua Feihua lowered her voice. "Are you two plotting something against Ye Xianzi?"
"Don't talk nonsense!" Fang Xia was startled and quickly glanced at Ye Wuying. Seeing that she didn't react, he felt relieved.
*** *** ***
"Young Master Hua, is it really worth sacrificing so much for one person?" Ye Wuying and Hua Ruoxu walked slowly side by side. After a long while, Ye Wuying sighed softly.
"I am ignorant and do not understand Miss Ye's meaning." Hua Ruoxu's heart skipped a beat, but his face remained calm.
"For Su Dai'er, to be an enemy of the righteous path of the martial arts world, does Young Master Hua think it's worth it?" Ye Wuying was now very clear.
"The righteous path of the martial arts world?" Hua Ruoxu's face showed a slight hint of sarcasm. "In Miss Ye's heart, the alliance of the seven sects and four families is the righteous path, and everyone else is the demonic path, is that right?"
"Does Young Master Hua think that what Wuying said is wrong?" Ye Wuying was silent for a while before speaking.
“All I know is that not long ago, I was chased to the brink of death by the righteous sects of the martial arts world, as Miss Ye mentioned, and nearly died several times in a foreign land.” Hua Ruoxu smiled calmly. “I, Hua Ruoxu, am not one to hold grudges. I generally don’t dwell on the past. However, the past has been enough for me to see the true face of the righteous people Miss Ye speaks of. The so-called righteous and demonic paths are essentially no different; they are all people who will stop at nothing to achieve their own interests. It’s just that, compared to the righteous path, the righteous path is more hypocritical, always finding a seemingly righteous reason to do evil.”
“Young Master Hua, your thinking is too extreme.” Ye Wuying wanted to say something more, but Hua Ruoxu interrupted her.
“Miss Ye, you have your own ideas, and I won’t force you to accept mine, but please don’t impose your will on me.” Hua Ruoxu’s tone was somewhat impolite. “I’m not a person with many ambitions; I only do what I want to do and what I should do.”

Hua Ruoxu didn’t really want to go to the Qinhuai River; he was just going by instinct, and Ye Wuying, Hua Feihua, and Fang Xia were just following him subconsciously.
Suddenly, Hua Ruoxu realized he was back at Hua Tianxing’s residence.
After a slight hesitation, Hua Ruoxu stepped inside.
“Little brother, I don’t want to see anyone else.” A sweet voice floated out from inside, clearly reaching the ears of the four.
“Miss Ye, Brother Hua, Brother Fang, please wait.” Hua Ruoxu had no choice but to say to the three, though in truth, he didn’t want Hua Tianxing to be seen by others either.
“Little brother, you’ve already missed your sister so soon?” Hua Tianxing looked at Hua Ruoxu and grinned. Indeed, he had only left not long ago, and now he was back in less than a few hours.
"Sister, I don't know why I ended up here without realizing it," Hua Ruoxu said honestly.
"Hehe, so you missed me, huh?" Hua Tianxing giggled, her soft eyes fixed on Hua Ruoxu, making him feel a little uncomfortable.
"Sister, what should I do now?" Hua Ruoxu asked suddenly after a moment of silence.
"Hmm, let me think about it." Hua Tianxing tilted her head, her eyes darting around, a mischievous smile gradually appearing on her face. "Little brother, I've come up with a good idea. You'll know what to do in a moment."
*** *** ***
"Fairy Ye, are we really not going in?" Fang Xia asked from outside, somewhat doubtfully.
“Since the master doesn’t want to see outsiders, we naturally can’t go in,” Ye Wuying nodded. “Besides, the person inside is definitely not Su Dai’er.”
“Su Dai’er wouldn’t address Brother Hua like that,” Hua Feihua nodded, but a hint of confusion appeared on her face. “I’ve never heard of him having a sister.”
“You have a sister, but he can’t have one?” Fang Xia seemed quite dissatisfied with Hua Feihua.
“That makes sense. I just don’t know if his sister is pretty. If she is, then I’ll marry her. That way, I won’t be at a disadvantage.” Hua Feihua said seriously, but Fang Xia didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. He began to realize that he was no match for Hua Feihua when it came to arguing.
“Sister, I can’t drink anymore. I’ll get drunk if I drink any more,” Hua Ruoxu said to Hua Tianxing, his eyes glazed over and his tongue seemingly slurred. He was actually already drunk.
Hua Tianxing claimed she was helping Hua Ruoxu come up with a solution, but without even asking what was wrong, she produced a large jar of wine and insisted he drink it, saying she would tell him what to do after he drank it.
"Hmm, little brother, you're so good. You drink when your sister tells you to," Hua Tianxing said with a grin, looking mischievous. Although Hua Tianxing looked like a celestial being, her personality was rather questionable.
"Sister, what should I do?" Hua Ruoxu wasn't completely drunk and still remembered the incident.
"Little brother, you're so good, your sister will definitely help you. Now, you have to answer whatever I ask honestly," Hua Tianxing giggled.
Hua Ruoxu's mind was already somewhat hazy, so he nodded numbly.
"Little brother, what's troubling you?" Hua Tianxing's voice suddenly changed, becoming gentle, yet seemingly possessing a special charm—a charm that was irresistible, or rather, impossible to resist.
"Sister, I don't know what to do. If I only stay with Senior Sister, people will say I'm heartless." Hua Ruoxu's voice sounded like he was talking in his sleep. "But sister, if I'm with Sister Qing and Youyou, people will say I'm fickle and ungrateful. What should I do?" Hua Ruoxu slumped his head onto the table.
"Little brother, you're quite pitiful." Hua Tianxing chuckled. "But you lecherous little brother, do you only want to be with your Senior Sister or do you want them all?"
"I... I don't know." Hua Ruoxu looked confused. "
Oh, little brother, you definitely haven't had enough. Keep drinking." Hua Tianxing brought another glass of wine to Hua Ruoxu's lips and half-forced him to drink it. "
Little brother, have you thought it through now?" Hua Tianxing asked again.
"No, sister, it's so hard to think about. I don't want to think about it anymore." Hua Ruoxu was almost at his limit.
"Still not enough to drink," Hua Tianxing muttered to himself. Poor Hua Ruoxu had been forced to drink even more.
*** *** ***
The third watch drum sounded. Ye Wuying and the other two outside were caught in a dilemma—going in was bad enough, but going out wasn't good either. Poor Hua Ruoxu inside was almost unconscious.
"Sister, I won't drink anymore. I really don't know what's wrong with me," Hua Ruoxu murmured. "I like Senior Sister so much, but why do I also like Sister Qing, and Youyou and the others? I don't know why. It seems like I can't control myself."
After saying this, Hua Ruoxu finally fell into a deep sleep. He couldn't hold on any longer.
"Little brother, you're so silly. Do you want to know? Well, I'll tell you. Actually, it was all my help, hehe. They're all very pretty, so you didn't lose out." Hua Tianxing gently moved Hua Ruoxu onto the bed, sat there looking at him with a somewhat infatuated gaze, and said softly, "But little brother, you've always been a bit of a flirt, don't blame me. Besides, I don't like heartless men, and you don't want me to dislike you either, do you?"
Hua Tianxing gently stroked his face. She had stroked him like this before, though he had never known it. Her eyes were filled with doting affection and an indescribable emotion.
"Little brother, do you know? Actually, I love your devotion to your senior sister the most. If you were heartless, you wouldn't be my good little brother." Hua Tianxing was still speaking softly when suddenly her expression changed. Her brows furrowed tightly, and a look of pain appeared on her face. With
a gentle grasp, the Love Sword on Hua Ruoxu's body suddenly appeared in her hand. With a slight movement, she vanished from the room.
A moment later, Hua Tianxing reappeared in another place.
"Miss." A young couple appeared before her.
"Is the man ready?" Hua Tianxing asked softly.
"Yes, Miss. Here is his information," the young man replied.
"Miss, this man has committed many evils. We await your personal handling of him," the young woman beside her added.
*** *** ***
In a basement, a person slumped on the floor. The light on the Love Sword flashed and disappeared in an instant. Before he could even utter a final scream, he was already guilty of heinous crimes.
A faint glow suddenly emanated from the Love Sword, a soft, eerie light slowly rising before entering Hua Tianxing's body and vanishing.
The pain on Hua Tianxing's face gradually faded, and with a slight movement, she disappeared into the basement. A moment later, she reappeared beside Hua Ruoxu, and the Love Sword returned to him.
"Is your master in? Ye Wuying requests an audience." A melodious voice came from outside.
"I don't want to see outsiders. Please return, young lady." Hua Tianxing said calmly.
"Then may I ask, young lady, is Young Master Hua Ruoxu in?" Ye Wuying hesitated slightly before asking.
"He's asleep. Please speak tomorrow." Hua Tianxing looked at Hua Ruoxu with gentle eyes before turning to the outside.
"Young Master Hua, Young Master Fang, let's go back!" Ye Wuying sighed softly; they had no patience to wait any longer.
*** *** ***
A sliver of dawn appeared on the horizon, and the east gradually turned white.
Hua Ruoxu opened his eyes, feeling a splitting headache; he had drunk far too much the night before.
Fortunately, the Love Sword helped him, and he quickly felt much better. He sat up, only to find Hua Tianxing grinning at him. His handsome face flushed slightly, and he looked a little embarrassed.
Thinking of what had happened the night before, Hua Ruoxu began to curse inwardly. He hadn't gone home all night, and he really didn't know how to explain it to Hua Yuluan. She might think he had stayed with Dai'er.
"Sister, I should go back." Hua Ruoxu hurriedly got up.
"Little brother, did I help you figure things out last night?" Hua Tianxing said sweetly.
"Sister, how can you help me like this?" Hua Ruoxu smiled wryly, even though he had actually believed her last night. "People say that people speak the truth when they're drunk.
You told me last night that you wanted everything, hehe, little brother, you're so fickle, but I like it." Hua Tianxing said seriously.
"Sister, did I...did I say that?" Hua Ruoxu asked somewhat awkwardly, while Hua Tianxing nodded vigorously. "Did I really think that?" Hua Ruoxu smiled bitterly to himself, not entirely believing Hua Tianxing's words, but still somewhat skeptical. Leaving Hua Tianxing, Hua Ruoxu hurried

towards the Ye family, already planning how to explain things to Hua Yuluan. "Young Master." A soft, sweet voice called from behind. "Feixu, is that you?" Hua Ruoxu turned around, slightly surprised. The person was Feixu, another maidservant of Su Daier. "Young Master, Miss sent me to invite you over," Feixu said respectfully. "Now?" Hua Ruoxu hesitated. Although he had originally intended to find Daier last night, he needed to return first. "Yes, Young Master, Miss is in a hurry. She told me to take you there now." A hint of unease flashed in Feixu's eyes, but Hua Ruoxu didn't notice. "Alright, I'll go now." Hua Ruoxu couldn't refuse Dai'er's request after all. He sighed slightly and turned to walk towards Su Dai'er's residence. "Young Master, not over there. Miss isn't home today," Fei Xu called out to Hua Ruoxu. "Where is she?" Hua Ruoxu was slightly taken aback. "Young Master, you and I will find out when we get here," Fei Xu said, springing up and running in another direction. Although Hua Ruoxu had some doubts, he followed her. They walked all the way to the outskirts of the city, and after about ten miles, they arrived at a small valley. "Young Master, Miss is inside. I won't go in," Fei Xu stopped and said, bowing her head. "Why is Dai'er here?" Hua Ruoxu asked, somewhat incredulous. "Young Master, Miss said that no one would disturb you here, so..." Fei Xu's expression changed slightly as she bowed her head. Hua Ruoxu thought for a moment. Since they were already here, he might as well go in and see for himself. He could ask Dai'er. *** *** *** Stepping into the valley, it was small, with mountains closing in on all sides. Although it was daytime, it felt rather eerie. A small clearing came into view, and in the center stood a slender, graceful figure. It was familiar; Hua Ruoxu secretly breathed a sigh of relief. It was indeed Su Dai'er. "Brother Ruoxu, why are you only arriving now? Dai'er has been waiting for you for so long!" Hearing footsteps, Su Dai'er turned around and flew over like a bird entering the forest, throwing herself into Hua Ruoxu's arms, complaining sweetly that he was too late. "Dai'er, why did you suddenly decide to come to such a remote place?" Gently embracing her delicate body, Hua Ruoxu asked softly. "Brother Ruoxu, you're so mean! Didn't you say you wanted me to wait for you here? But when I arrived, you weren't here, making me stare at you for so long!" Su Dai'er's voice was soft and sweet. Perhaps here, she could temporarily set aside her identity as the Demon Palace Master; now she was just a little girl needing her lover's affection. "Dai'er, didn't you ask Feixu to bring me here?" Hua Ruoxu's heart skipped a beat, a strong sense of unease welling up from the depths of his heart. "Clang, clang..." The Love Sword emitted a clear, resonant sound. Hua Ruoxu was startled; this was the second warning from the Love Sword. "Dai'er, be careful!" Hua Ruoxu gently put her down, one hand around her slender waist, the other drawing the Love Sword. An eerie silence filled the air, not a sound could be heard. A chilling atmosphere permeated the air. Su Dai'er's hand rested lightly on the zither, her face cold and tinged with sadness. She finally realized she had been betrayed. A short while passed, and still, there was no movement. "Dai'er, let's go out first." Hua Ruoxu's unease grew stronger. Su Dai'er nodded gently, and the two slowly moved towards the valley entrance. Suddenly, Su Dai'er's face turned pale, and she let out a soft groan of pain. "Brother Ruoxu, it's poisonous, be careful." As she spoke, Su Dai'er swayed and fell into Hua Ruoxu's arms.

"Dai'er, Dai'er, how are you?" Hua Ruoxu was extremely anxious and called out urgently.
"Brother Ruoxu, Dai'er is alright, but... but I feel weak all over. Brother Ruoxu, let's go quickly, we've been betrayed by Feixu." Su Dai'er's voice was strained, as if she had little strength left.
Hua Ruoxu didn't hesitate any longer, picked up Su Dai'er's delicate body, and sprang towards the valley entrance.
Suddenly, countless men in black appeared like ghosts from all around, all wearing black masks, each wielding a long sword with a ghostly blue light on the blade, seemingly coated with deadly poison. In broad daylight, these men looked even more eerie.
A low whistle sounded, and the men in black who had been watching Hua Ruoxu and Su Dai'er without moving suddenly attacked. Countless swords slashed from different directions, as fast as lightning, forming a dense net of blades.
Hua Ruoxu let out a clear whistle. Time was of the essence; there was no time for further consideration. He unleashed the Heavenly Star Dance, the Heavenly Star Sword Technique, relentlessly sweeping towards all the men in black, showing no mercy.
Sword energy swirled, blade light flashed, intertwining.
The skill of these black-clad swordsmen far exceeded Hua Ruoxu's expectations. Their attacks were relentless, their coordination seamless, forming a tight blade formation. Although Hua Ruoxu could remain undefeated thanks to the exquisite Heavenly Star Sword Technique and the power of the Love Sword, he was currently helpless against them.
Hua Ruoxu grew increasingly anxious. He hadn't expected Su Dai'er to be poisoned and injured; he had no time to ponder why he himself hadn't been poisoned. Normally, Su Dai'er's skills would instill fear in everyone, but now she needed his protection, which greatly affected him.
The black-clad men's attacks showed no sign of weakening; on the contrary, they seemed to grow stronger, as if they felt no fatigue whatsoever. Hua Ruoxu felt a growing sense of unease, his heart filled with anxiety. At this rate, he and Su Dai'er would likely perish.
Suddenly, the sound of a zither rang out, and the black-clad men's attacks slowed considerably. Hua Ruoxu's spirits lifted, and he secretly channeled all his inner strength. His Heavenly Star Tear and Love Sword, gleaming with a flashing light, rained down on the surrounding black-clad men, instantly brightening the eerie valley.
Below, another person, who had been watching the battle closely, changed drastically upon hearing the zither music.
"You, Su Dai'er, you can actually play the Demonic Zither!" the person said hatefully, letting out a low whistle.
Blood blossoms rose, but no screams were heard, or rather, no sound was uttered. The whistle sounded at the opportune moment, and the black-clad men retreated abruptly, disappearing from Hua Ruoxu's sight with lightning speed. They left nothing but bloodstains, several corpses, several arms, and several long swords.
Hua Ruoxu breathed a slight sigh of relief. Although he found the departure of the group of men in black somewhat strange, their departure was ultimately beneficial to him.
"Dai'er, how are you?" Recalling the music from earlier, Hua Ruoxu looked down at Su Dai'er in his arms. Her slender hands rested on the zither, her face unusually pale.
"Brother Ruoxu, I'm fine, let's go quickly," Su Dai'er said softly, urging Hua Ruoxu on.
Hua Ruoxu nodded gently, tightened his embrace around her, and strode towards the valley entrance.
*** *** ***
Hua Ruoxu gasped. Outside the valley was a dense crowd of people.
"Dai'er, it seems we're in some trouble!" Hua Ruoxu sighed softly, looking at the experts from the Seven Sects and Four Families Alliance opposite him.
Hua Ruoxu felt a cold gaze fall upon him. Looking over, his heart skipped a beat; it was Hua Yuluan. He hesitated to meet her gaze, turning his face slightly to Hua Yufeng's, only to find her eyes filled with resentment and worry.
"Senior Sister, Second Senior Sister, you've come too." Hua Ruoxu sighed softly, his heart filled with conflicting emotions, his mind racing as he considered the current situation.
"Young Master Hua, hand Su Dai'er over to us," Ye Wuying said gently.
"Brother Ruoxu, put me down," Su Dai'er's soft voice rang out before Hua Ruoxu could speak.
"Dai'er, don't worry, I won't let them do anything to you," Hua Ruoxu reassured her softly, not putting her down as she requested.
"Young Master Hua, are you really going to make enemies of us for her sake?" Ye Wuying sighed softly, her tone seemingly filled with regret.

"Miss Ye, you don't need to talk to me about the principles of martial arts. I know what I should do." Hua Ruoxu smiled faintly, his eyes slowly sweeping over the crowd with a hint of mockery. "But I find something strange. Not long ago, Dai'er was poisoned by some villains and then encountered dozens of assassins in black. Coincidentally, you all appeared just as the assassins left. Could it be that so-called righteous people have started using these so-called low-class tricks?"
"Hua Ruoxu, as the saying goes, 'Those who are virtuous will find many helpers.' Su Dai'er has done too many bad things, so naturally countless people will want to rid the martial arts world of this scourge!" Ye Bu'er's voice rang out. Hua Ruoxu was slightly startled; he hadn't seen Ye Bu'er's men earlier.
"If Dai'er were safe and sound, I don't think you would dare to come so openly." Hua Ruoxu said sarcastically. "If you didn't know she was poisoned, how dare you come?"
"Second Miss Hua, I don't think you'll still speak up for Hua Ruoxu today, will you?" Ye Bu'er remained unmoved by Hua Ruoxu's words but turned to Hua Yufeng and said.
"It seems Mr. Ye has never given me a chance to speak," Hua Yufeng said calmly. "Besides, since Mr. Ye has arranged everything, it seems my words are useless."
Ye Bu'er's expression changed slightly, a hint of anger appearing on his face, but he quickly suppressed it and returned to his original expression.
"Hua Ruoxu, now we only ask you one question: are you still going to protect Su Dai'er, this witch?" Ye Bu'er said coldly to Hua Ruoxu, while hundreds of eyes stared at Hua Ruoxu, seemingly hoping for an answer.
"You're not allowed to interfere with her!" Hua Yuluan's angry voice rang in his ears. "
Prepare to break through. Don't linger in the fight; escape if you can." Another voice rang in his ears, it was Hua Yufeng's gentle voice. He couldn't help but feel a slight warmth in his heart; Hua Yufeng understood him better.
"Senior Sister, I'm sorry, I can't watch Dai'er die at the hands of some villains." Hua Ruoxu looked at Hua Yuluan with a slight apology, while also clearly expressing his meaning to everyone: he would not hand Su Dai'er over to them.
"Hua Ruoxu, you're neglecting your own wife for a mere demoness from the Grinding Palace? I think you're truly beyond redemption." Ge Yunxiang shook his head and slowly stepped out of the crowd, his wife Sun Yunyan following him.
"I don't need you, Sect Leader Ge, to tell me what to do. Enough with the nonsense, I'm taking Dai'er away today." Hua Ruoxu was already uncomfortable with Ge Yunxiang, especially his sarcastic tone, and his voice hardened.
"That depends on whether you have the ability!" Ge Yunxiang sneered.
"Why don't you try, Sect Leader Ge? I've long heard of the Azure Robe Divine Sword, and today I, Hua Ruoxu, will see for myself." Hua Ruoxu also sneered.
As the two talked, the surrounding crowd began to move. Feng Yundong and his son Feng Congyun, Xue Mingfeng, and Feng Guoyun stepped forward, the four of them, along with Ge Yunxiang and his wife, surrounding Hua Ruoxu and Su Dai'er. The others remained still, watching the scene unfold.
Ye Wuying hesitated, her body shifting slightly, but ultimately she didn't step out.
Ge Yunxiang, the Azure-Clad Divine Swordsman, didn't create the Floating Sword Technique, but it was he who popularized it. Sun Yunyan, the Yellow-Clad Jade Swordsman, also used the Floating Sword Technique, but she wasn't particularly famous because she only appeared with Ge Yunxiang. Often, people considered her Ge Yunxiang's subordinate, even though many knew her martial arts were actually quite high.
Hua Ruoxu took a deep breath, pouring all his inner strength into his sword, causing it to blaze brightly. The surrounding crowd felt a strange fear and pressure, as no one could guarantee their survival under its light.
A clear shout accompanied by a delicate cry appeared before Hua Ruoxu, two figures, one in azure and one in yellow, leaping about. A chilling sword aura approached, and a powerful aura pressed down. "
Heavenly Star Tears!" Hua Ruoxu thought to himself, and the already dazzling sword light suddenly surged. At the same time, he heard another delicate shout, and a familiar purple figure suddenly appeared beside him, her sword thrusting towards both Ge Yunxiang and Sun Yunyan.
The sword energy vanished abruptly, and a few beads of sweat appeared on Hua Ruoxu's forehead. Ge Yunxiang and Sun Yunyan looked pale, staring incredulously at Hua Yuluan, who stood beside Hua Ruoxu with a cold expression. "Miss Hua, what do you mean by this?" Ge Yunxiang asked, barely containing his anger. His and Sun Yunyan's combined attack had failed against the combined resistance of Hua Ruoxu and Hua Yuluan, and they had even suffered a minor loss. "Since

Sect Leader Ge and his wife have joined forces, what's wrong with me helping my husband?" Hua Yuluan's voice was cold. Hua Ruoxu glanced at her gratefully, only to be met with a fierce glare. Although she was angry that Hua Ruoxu was still helping Su Daier at this time, she couldn't stand by and watch so many people attack Hua Ruoxu while she remained uninvolved. So, despite her anger, she still acted when the time came. "Miss Hua, don't forget, your every move represents the Huashan Sword Sect," Ge Yunxiang said coldly. "It seems like not long ago, Sect Leader Ge, you yourself said that I, Hua Yuluan, follow my husband after marriage. Since my husband is no longer a disciple of the Huashan Sword Sect, then naturally I cannot represent the Huashan Sword Sect," Hua Yuluan said sarcastically. " Second Miss Hua, aren't you going to stop your sister's behavior?" Ge Yunxiang was speechless and turned to Hua Yufeng. "Sect Leader Ge, there's nothing wrong with a wife helping her husband. Besides, Sect Leader Ge, do you think I, as the younger sister, can order my older sister around?" Hua Yufeng's tone was gentle, but her meaning was clearly firm, tantamount to approving of Hua Yuluan's behavior. "Since Miss Hua admits that she is no longer a member of the Huashan Sword Sect, then we naturally don't need to be polite. Sect Leader Ge, don't you agree?" Ye Bu'er's voice interjected at the right time, clearly intending to add fuel to the fire. "Enough with the nonsense, let's see who's the real deal." Hua Yuluan's beautiful face gradually became as calm as still water, her bright eyes unwavering. Her purple robes fluttered, and at this moment, Hua Yuluan exuded an otherworldly beauty and an arrogant aura, possessing a certain domineering presence. The air around her seemed to solidify, and even Hua Ruoxu beside her sensed the unusual atmosphere. Ge Yunxiang and Sun Yunyan suddenly felt a suffocating sense of oppression. This feeling grew stronger and stronger, and its source was Hua Yuluan opposite them. Ge Yunxiang and Sun Yunyan exchanged a glance, their eyes communicating, their minds in sync, and simultaneously let out a clear shout. Their swords struck at the same time, a dense net of swords encircling Hua Yuluan. The swordplay was completely different from their previous attack; the coordination between the two was flawless, and the legendary combined sword technique was finally revealed before everyone's eyes. The frozen air was broken, and Hua Yuluan's expression changed slightly, a hint of disdain in her eyes. With a flick of her wrist, her longsword flashed upwards in a diagonal arc, devoid of any fancy moves, shattering Ge Yunxiang and Sun Yunyan's sword net. At that moment, Hua Ruoxu also moved. With one arm around Su Daier, his other hand simultaneously unleashed countless sword blossoms, skillfully penetrating the shattered sword net. His first collaboration with Hua Yuluan seemed to surpass the years of practice Ge Yunxiang and Sun Yunyan had honed. Two muffled groans escaped Ge Yunxiang and Sun Yunyan as they retreated rapidly, beads of sweat streaming down their foreheads, their faces turning ashen. Hua Yuluan stood proudly, coldly observing the two, while Hua Ruoxu stood there, somewhat stunned, utterly surprised. Perhaps only today will everyone truly understand that Hua Tianyun's prediction was absolutely correct. In less than ten years, Hua Yuluan seemed to have reached his level of martial arts prowess. Ge Yunxiang, ranked fifth on the Heavenly Ranking, and his wife Sun Yunyan, rumored to be no less skilled than him, joined forces but suffered a crushing defeat at Hua Yuluan's hands. Although Hua Yuluan also joined forces with Hua Ruoxu, everyone could see that even an ordinary first-rate master would be no match for Hua Yuluan, and Ge Yunxiang and Sun Yunyan would still be utterly defeated. "Senior Sister, let's go quickly," Hua Ruoxu said softly. Hua Yuluan's intervention was already beyond his expectations, and her high level of martial arts had even more astonished him. But despite this, their situation was still far from optimistic. As the saying goes, two fists can't beat four hands, and even a hero can't defeat a crowd. No matter how high Hua Yuluan's martial arts were, their enemies now included dozens of masters from both rankings and hundreds of first-rate masters. "You can go with her then, I'm not leaving!" Hua Yuluan said angrily, glaring at Hua Ruoxu again. "Senior Sister, don't be stubborn, let's go!" Hua Ruoxu lamented inwardly, Hua Yuluan was acting childishly now. "If Young Master Hua and Miss Hua just leave like this, it would be a huge disregard for the Seven Sects and Four Families Alliance. If word gets out that our Seven Sects and Four Families Alliance was defeated by two people, what face will we have left in the martial arts world?" Ye Bu'er's voice seemed to be directed at Hua Ruoxu and Hua Yuluan, but in reality, it was a reminder to the experts of the Seven Sects and Four Families that if Hua Ruoxu and Hua Yuluan left with Su Dai'er today, they would lose all face. "Senior Sister, don't pay attention to him, let's go." Hua Ruoxu grabbed Hua Yuluan's hand and said softly. Xue Mingfeng, Feng Yundong, Feng Congyun, and Feng Guoyun gradually approached, but not too close. Hua Yuluan's extraordinary martial arts skills had just displayed had left them deeply shocked, or rather, a sense of fear had already crept into their subconscious. "Amitabha!" Master Yuanguang of Shaolin chanted a Buddhist prayer in a low voice, seemingly somewhat helpless, and walked heavily toward Hua Ruoxu and the other two. Under his leadership, the leaders of the other sects also stepped forward, forming a tight encirclement. However, some people remained motionless. Ye Bu'er and the four sect masters who were almost always by his side did not move; the four sect masters seemed to only obey Ye Bu'er's orders. Ouyang Jianping, the leader of the Snow Mountain Sword Sect, seemed to have never spoken or made any move, appearing to be an observer from beginning to end. Hua Cuo still did not move, Ye Wuying still did not move, Hua Feihua and Fang Xia still stood behind her, and Hua Yufeng was even less likely to step forward, but her face was full of worry. A tense and oppressive atmosphere filled the air, and Hua Ruoxu felt a growing anxiety. However, Hua Yuluan seemed completely unconcerned, as if she didn't take these people seriously. "Brother Ruoxu, let me handle this!" a sweet voice suddenly rang out. Su Dai'er twisted her body slightly, deftly freeing herself from Hua Ruoxu's embrace, and landed lightly on the ground. "Dai'er, are you alright?" Hua Ruoxu asked in surprise, his voice low. "Brother Ruoxu, don't worry, Dai'er is fine." Su Dai'er smiled sweetly at Hua Ruoxu, looking very happy. "It's good that you're alright." Hua Ruoxu sighed softly. Although Su Dai'er had lied to him again, her safety was the best outcome.

Hua Yuluan glared fiercely at Su Daier, clearly displeased, but Su Daier pretended not to notice. She slowly swept her gaze over the surrounding crowd, her pretty face gradually hardening with frost.
"Today, Daier is in a good mood, so I'll play a piece for everyone," Su Daier suddenly smiled, her smile as radiant as a hundred flowers blooming. The sky seemed to darken instantly, and some of the younger disciples of the Seven Sects and Four Families Alliance, whose resolve was slightly weaker, felt their hearts waver.
Those who remained sober, however, paled drastically.
"Ding-dong, ding-dong..." Su Daier gently plucked the strings, and a melodious tune rose. To Hua Ruoxu's ears, it was so familiar—it was the "Daier Melody" he had composed for her.
The music was tender and graceful, but that was only how it sounded to Hua Ruoxu and Hua Yuluan. To the dozens of people surrounding Hua Ruoxu, it was a different story. Their faces turned deathly pale, as if they were enduring immense pain. Some of the weaker ones began to groan and collapse to the ground, their bodies writhing. However, Ye Wuying, Hua Feihua, and Fang Xia seemed to have no reaction at all, as did Hua Yufeng.
"Amitabha!" A deep Buddhist chant rang out, and Master Yuanguang's lips moved slightly as he began to slowly recite the Diamond Sutra, forcing each word out with his true energy. Immediately, everyone felt a slight relief from the suffocating oppression in their hearts, but it was still very uncomfortable.
Xue Piaopiao opened her cherry lips and spat out a mouthful of blood. She was focused on brewing wine, but her skill was poor, so she still couldn't hold on.
"Do you not see the Yellow River's waters come from the sky, rushing to the sea never to return? Do you not see…" A loud chanting voice came over, full of energy. Su Dai'er's zither music seemed to be suppressed again. A tall figure supported Xue Piaopiao; it was Feng Ping who appeared at this moment. He looked at Xue Piaopiao with pity and some pain, chanting "Bring in the Wine."
Fang Xia's heart stirred slightly; he finally understood what was happening. This was the most terrifying demonic zither music of the Demon Palace Master. He felt a little strange; why didn't he feel anything?
Seeing that Master Yuanguang and Feng Ping's chanting seemed futile, Fang Xia didn't have time to think too much. He slowly sang a poem, "The Knight-Errant," using his true energy: "
Zhao knight wears a silk tassel, his Wu hook sword gleams like frost and snow.
A silver saddle shines on a white horse, swift as a shooting star.
He kills one man in ten steps, leaving no trace for a thousand miles.
His deed done, he brushes off his clothes and departs, concealing his person and name.
"
Following these reminders, other masters from various sects who still had energy began to imitate him, either chanting poems or simply letting out clear whistles, gradually seemingly suppressing Su Dai'er's zither music. The two sides seemed evenly matched.
"Brother Ruoxu, would you like to play a duet with Dai'er?" Su Dai'er's sweet voice rang in Hua Ruoxu's ears, her voice somewhat weak. Hua Ruoxu nodded slightly, slowly drawing a bamboo flute from his robes, pursing his lips and playing a few tender notes, still the same song for Dai'er.
The zither and flute harmonized, and suddenly the experts from the seven sects and four families felt as if a mountain was pressing down on their hearts. Feng Guoyun coughed up a mouthful of blood, Fang Xia and the others were also pale, their chanting growing softer and softer, and the sect leaders seemed to be in no better shape.
Ye Bu'er remained silent, only silently circulating his internal energy to resist, his face also somewhat pale, but he seemed to be in better condition than the others.
"You live at the head of the Yangtze River, I live at the tail of the Yangtze River, I think of you every day but cannot see you, we drink from the same river. When will this water cease flowing? When will this sorrow end? I only wish your heart were like mine, then my longing would not be in vain." A melodious voice suddenly rang out, the voice was low, but it seemed to have infinite power.
The zither music stopped abruptly, Su Dai'er suddenly stopped playing, and Hua Ruoxu also stopped, looking at Su Dai'er, then at the people around him, and suddenly understood.
"Su Dai'er, we have finally met." A delicate and sweet female voice rang out, and a woman in white palace attire appeared silently before everyone.
"Yes, we've finally met. You must be Gong Yaqian from the Divine Palace." Su Dai'er said softly, a strange expression on her face.
"Brother Ruoxu, take me away quickly!" Su Dai'er's urgent voice suddenly reached Hua Ruoxu's ears. Hua Ruoxu was startled, then suddenly grabbed Su Dai'er and pulled Hua Yuluan with his other hand, leaping into the air.
Few of the experts from the seven sects and four families had the strength to stop them. Hua Yuluan was surprised, but she obediently cooperated with Hua Ruoxu.
"Sister Su, why are you running so fast?" Gong Yaqian smiled slightly, her delicate body moving slightly, and a faint white figure closely followed Hua Ruoxu and the other two.
*** *** ***
Nangong Xuanyuan's eyes blazed with anger, his face ashen, as he ran through the mountains and forests at lightning speed. The news of Su Dai'er's perilous situation had just reached his ears.
"Nangong Xuanyuan, where are you rushing off to?" A cold voice rang out, and two gray figures suddenly appeared, blocking his path.
"It's you!" Nangong Xuanyuan said through gritted teeth, wishing he could kill the two men on the spot, but he knew he couldn't. However, he had no time to entangle with them; his daughter was waiting for him.
*** *** ***
Baili Hu was also in a hurry, because someone else was blocking his way—a very young and handsome man. Normally, he might have been very interested in this man, but now he had no such thoughts.
"Baili Hu, I've been waiting for you for a long time," the young man said with a faint smile, as if he had expected him to appear here.
"Are you Nangong Feiyun?" A name flashed through Baili Hu's mind, and he asked.
"I didn't expect you to know a nobody like me," Nangong Feiyun smiled lightly, but an astonishing aura gradually emanated from him. Baili Hu's heart skipped a beat; it seemed he couldn't carry out the Grand Elder's orders again.
*** *** ***
Hua Ruoxu was secretly anxious. Gong Yaqian was relentlessly pursuing him, and now Su Daier's situation seemed uncertain. Judging from her haste to leave, things looked rather dire.

Volume 5, Chapter 15, Crisis Upon Crisis (Part 1)

After finally shaking off Gong Yaqian, Hua Ruoxu breathed a sigh of relief and stopped. His ability to shake off Gong Yaqian wasn't due to his superior speed, but rather thanks to the martial arts practitioners who had been chasing him for a month. They had honed his counter-tracking skills.
However, Hua Ruoxu had paid a heavy price; he realized he had no idea where he was. He had been so focused on getting rid of Gong Yaqian that he preferred secluded places, especially dense forests, which he now found himself in. It was dark and gloomy, with almost no sunlight.
"Senior Sister, Daier, we seem to be lost," Hua Ruoxu finally admitted, embarrassed.
"Isn't she alright? Why do you insist on caring about her?" Hua Yuluan finally snapped. She had initially believed Su Dai'er was indeed seriously injured, but then Su Dai'er nearly wiped out the entire alliance of seven sects and four families with her zither music. She felt betrayed.
"Senior Sister, Dai'er, she..." Hua Ruoxu hurriedly tried to explain, but immediately found himself unable to continue.
Su Dai'er nimbly jumped down from his arms, a bright smile on her face, gazing at Hua Ruoxu with affection. There was absolutely no sign of injury.
"Dai'er, you, you're really alright?" Hua Ruoxu inwardly groaned. He never imagined Dai'er would lie to him time and time again.
"You're coming with me now, and you're not allowed to care about her anymore!" Hua Yuluan, her face contorted with rage, glared at Hua Ruoxu and said fiercely, "She can take good care of herself!"
"Brother Ruoxu!" Su Dai'er called out softly, her eyes seemingly pleading.
Hua Ruoxu glanced at Hua Yuluan, then at Su Dai'er, his heart wavering.
"You insist on taking her with you, don't you? Fine, if you won't leave, I will!" Hua Yuluan's face paled, then flushed crimson. She gritted her teeth, turned her delicate body, and leaped towards the edge of the forest.
"Senior Sister!" Hua Ruoxu's heart raced. He moved slightly, wanting to chase after her.
"Brother Ruoxu, aren't you going to abandon Dai'er?" Su Dai'er's mournful voice suddenly reached his ears. Hua Ruoxu hesitated for a moment, but in that hesitation, Hua Yuluan had already vanished.
"Pfft," Su Dai'er parted her cherry lips, spitting out a mouthful of blood. A trace of crimson blood trickled from the corner of her mouth, and her delicate body swayed precariously.
"Dai'er, what's wrong?" Hua Ruoxu was shocked and rushed over to pull her into his arms, asking anxiously, his concern evident in his words.
"Brother Ruoxu, Dai'er, Dai'er is alright." Su Dai'er's voice was weak, and her once rosy face had turned pale.
"Dai'er, let me heal your injuries!" Hua Ruoxu grabbed her delicate hand, preparing to check her injuries. Judging from her current state, even if Hua Ruoxu was foolish, he would know that her injuries were not light.
"No, Brother Ruoxu, you can't do that now." Su Dai'er quickly stopped him, "It's not safe here, be careful someone might ambush us."
"Dai'er, don't worry, it's alright." Hua Ruoxu comforted her. Because his method of cultivating internal energy was very special, he was not like ordinary martial artists who would become defenseless when healing others.
Hua Ruoxu wasn't skilled at healing others. Hua Tianxing hadn't taught him how to heal others. His own healing relied on his special physique and the unique effects of the Love Sword, but these only worked on himself and were useless to others.
Hua Ruoxu channeled his true energy into Su Dai'er's body, following his usual energy flow path.
"Ugh!" Su Dai'er let out a painful groan, spitting out a mouthful of blood mist.
"Dai'er, are you alright?" Hua Ruoxu quickly withdrew his true energy, his heart filled with pain and resentment—heartache for Su Dai'er, and even more resentment at his own incompetence.
"Brother Ruoxu, I'm alright. I can heal myself." Su Dai'er forced a smile, her pretty face showing a hint of pain, her voice low.
Hua Ruoxu felt a pang of sorrow, gently pulling her into his arms and holding her tightly.
"Brother Ruoxu, don't blame me for deliberately lying to you and making Sister Yuluan leave," Su Dai'er said softly in his arms. "Dai'er only needs Brother Ruoxu's protection."
"Dai'er, I won't blame you," Hua Ruoxu said gently, his mind racing as he considered how to leave this place.
Su Dai'er lay quietly in Hua Ruoxu's arms, her starry eyes slightly closed, her long eyelashes concealing her beautiful eyes. In the dense forest, a warm atmosphere seemed to have suddenly appeared, and a sweet smile gradually appeared on Su Dai'er's face—a smile of happiness.
Holding Su Dai'er's soft, boneless body, Hua Ruoxu slowly took a step. After a moment's thought, he decided to leave the forest first. Only by leaving would it be easier to find his way back.
*** *** ***
"Young Master Hua, we meet again so soon." A clear yet melodious voice reached Hua Ruoxu's ears, and at this moment, he was still happy to have just left the forest.
Hua Ruoxu raised his head. Standing before him was a woman in white, her face still veiled, but her eyes were unforgettable. He didn't know who she was; he only knew that Youyou had once called her the Holy Maiden, and now he was certain she was indeed the Holy Maiden of the Divine Palace.
"What can I do for you, young lady?" Hua Ruoxu asked casually, glancing at the surrounding terrain out of the corner of his eye. He discovered that they had arrived near a cliff after leaving the forest, with clouds swirling around it, obscuring the sun's rays.
"Young Master Hua is a wise man; I need not spell it out," the Holy Maiden of the Divine Palace said coldly, her unfathomable eyes suddenly radiating a deep killing intent.
"Since you put it that way, I will be frank. If you wish to harm Dai'er, you'll have to get past me, Hua Ruoxu, first." Hua Ruoxu took a deep breath, his left hand tightening, his right gripping the Love Sword.
*** *** ***
"Elder, I'll hold them off here for now." Nangong Xuanyuan breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this voice, finally able to shake off the two old men from the Divine Palace.
On the other side, Baili Hu still couldn't defeat Nangong Feiyun, and the two remained locked in combat. Baili Hu grew increasingly anxious, while Nangong Feiyun appeared completely unperturbed.
Hua Yuluan left Hua Ruoxu with a belly full of grievances, hoping he would catch up, even if he brought Su Daier with him, it would make her feel better. But she was disappointed.
Suddenly, a sense of foreboding washed over her, and she abruptly stopped, turning and running back the way she came.

Volume 5, Chapter 15, Crisis After Crisis (Part 2)

Hua Ruoxu lost, lost miserably. He collapsed to the ground, clutching Su Daier. A few feet in front of him, the Holy Maiden of the Divine Palace watched him coldly, her eyes filled with mockery. At the same time, a young woman in palace attire appeared in the arena, none other than Gong Yaqian, the Palace Master of the Divine Palace.
"Despicable!" Hua Ruoxu's handsome face twisted slightly as he struggled to his feet, glaring at Gong Yaqian with hatred.
"I only wanted to kill Su Daier. It was you, Young Master Hua, who had to take this for her. Don't blame me." Gong Yaqian's expression was unusually calm, but her eyes held a hint of pity as she looked at Hua Ruoxu.
Hua Ruoxu fell silent. He had only just realized with dismay that there were many people in this world whose martial arts were far superior to his. The two girls before him were both more skilled than him. Just now, when he was wholeheartedly preparing to deal with the Holy Maiden, Gong Yaqian suddenly appeared and attacked Su Daier in his arms. At the same time, the Holy Maiden also targeted his target in his arms and launched a devastating attack. Before he could even use his Heavenly Star Sword Technique, the two attacks were already imminent. Helpless, he could only use his last bit of strength to move his body, allowing Su Daier in his arms to escape the attack, while he himself was struck hard.
"What a waste of all that martial arts skill." Gong Yaqian sighed softly, slowly walking towards Hua Ruoxu. Hua Ruoxu subconsciously took a few steps back.
Hua Ruoxu's heart felt like it was bleeding. He was powerless to protect the woman he loved, forced to watch helplessly as she fell into the enemy's hands. He had always thought himself a master of martial arts, but today he realized he was utterly vulnerable. He gazed deeply at the woman in his arms; her eyes were also looking at him, without a trace of resentment, only deep tenderness.
"Brother Ruoxu, I have no regrets if I can die with you," Su Dai'er said softly, a hint of joy appearing on her pale face.
"Die?" Hua Ruoxu's heart felt like it had been struck a heavy blow. Dai'er couldn't die, and neither could he. He had too many attachments in this world; he couldn't leave like this.
Hua Ruoxu took a deep breath, suddenly letting out a clear whistle, channeling the last of his inner energy into his Love Sword.
A dazzling light pierced through the shadows on the cliff, seemingly dispersing the swirling mist instantly. The sword shone brightly, sweeping towards Gong Yaqian and the veiled Holy Maiden of the Divine Palace.
A strange light flickered in Gong Yaqian's eyes, and the Holy Maiden seemed somewhat surprised as well, not expecting Hua Ruoxu to launch such a powerful counterattack at this moment.
Hua Ruoxu executed the seven moves of the Heavenly Star Sword Technique in one breath, unleashing them in quick succession. Two delicate shouts rang out simultaneously, followed by two dragon roars as longswords were drawn from their sheaths, timely blocking Hua Ruoxu's attack. The three swords clashed, stirring up a fierce whirlwind and raising clouds of dust.
When the dust settled, Hua Ruoxu used his sword to support his swaying body, while the two women opposite him were in much better condition. Gong Yaqian's breathing was slightly rapid, and a trace of blood trickled from the corner of the Holy Maiden's mouth.
Hua Ruoxu inwardly groaned. He knew he had no strength left. If he had used this move before he was injured, the outcome might have been uncertain, but now, defeat was inevitable.
"Young Master Hua, if you are willing to submit to my Divine Palace, I will grant you an extremely prestigious position, and my three envoys can also return to your side," Gong Yaqian suddenly said with a soft smile.
"If you, Palace Master, are willing to relinquish your position to me, I might consider it." Hua Ruoxu forced a smile, tinged with sarcasm. He knew that Gong Yaqian might spare him, but she would never let Dai'er go.
"So, Young Master Hua is truly going to die for Su Dai'er?" Gong Yaqian seemed slightly angered.
"Gong Yaqian, Brother Ruoxu will not die." Su Dai'er's voice suddenly rang out, several stirring notes piercing the sky as she plucked the strings.
"Su Dai'er, it seems many people, including myself, have underestimated you." A cold glint flashed in Gong Yaqian's eyes, her resolve to kill Su Dai'er strengthened.
"Miss Gong has simply overestimated herself." Accompanied by a cold voice, a middle-aged man in a black robe with a bushy beard slowly emerged from the woods.
"Lu Yunchang?" Gong Yaqian's heart skipped a beat, her cherry lips parted slightly, and she uttered each word carefully.
"As expected of the Palace Master, you recognized me at a glance." Lu Yunchang stepped forward and bowed slightly to Hua Ruoxu.
"Greetings, Palace Master!" He then greeted Su Dai'er, who was in Hua Ruoxu's arms.
"Second Elder, no need for such formalities!" Su Dai'er said softly, "I'll leave these two to you, Second Elder."
"Palace Master, rest assured, I will not disappoint you." Lu Yunchang straightened up, his eyes filled with kindness and affection as he looked at Su Dai'er.
Gong Yaqian's delicate body trembled slightly. As the second-ranked expert on the Earth Ranking, Lu Yunchang's skills in the Demon Palace were second only to Nangong Xuanyuan, and his strength was not to be underestimated.
Although Lu Yunchang was an elder of the Demon Palace, he was rarely seen in the martial world because he was responsible for secretly protecting Su Dai'er, and he only obeyed Su Dai'er's orders. Without her command, he would never show himself. Of course, no one else knew this, and apart from a very few people, no one knew that Lu Yunchang was a member of the Demon Palace. Rumors in the martial world said he was just a lone traveler.
However, upon closer examination, this was actually quite normal. As the Demon Palace Master, how could Su Dai'er not have dedicated protection? It was just that Su Dai'er had Lu Yunchang reveal himself only now, which was somewhat puzzling.
"Now that Elder Lu has come out, you should give him a proper welcome," Gong Yaqian raised her voice slightly, not addressing anyone present, but rather speaking to the woods.
Three figures flashed out, one in black, one in white, and one in green. Hua Ruoxu was greatly shocked, his lips trembling slightly, but he didn't utter a word. The one in black was Jiang Qingyue, and the other two were none other than Hua Feimeng and Xue Youyou. The three women quickly glanced at Hua Ruoxu, then swiftly moved to surround Lu Yunchang.
"Xue Youyou, is this how you treat Brother Ruoxu?" Su Daier sighed softly. Xue Youyou's delicate body trembled, and the three women turned to Hua Ruoxu at the same time. Their eyes shared the same worry and helplessness!

Volume 5, Chapter 16: A Beauty's Heart is Wounded (Part 1)

"I didn't expect that the Divine Palace only has you little girls left." Lu Yunchang said with a hint of regret, "This old man is too old to deal with you little girls. You young people should handle it yourselves." Lu Yunchang wasn't actually that old, only in his forties, but he started acting old in front of them. However, it seemed that the Divine Palace was indeed being conquered by a group of young girls.
Gong Yaqian was slightly confused. She couldn't understand the meaning behind Lu Yunchang's words, but she understood after a moment because four more people had appeared in the room, four young men.
Hua Ruoxu was slightly startled again. He recognized these four people; they were the Four Gentlemen of the Martial World, whom he had met several times before.
"Greetings, Palace Master!" The four bowed respectfully to Su Dai'er from afar. At this moment, Hua Ruoxu finally understood that the Four Gentlemen were also members of the Demon Palace.
Su Dai'er nodded gently, her expression relaxing. With reinforcements arriving, she felt much more at ease.
Decades later, the experts of the Divine Palace and the Demon Palace were once again engaged in their largest-scale battle. Although the three envoys of the Divine Palace possessed exceptional martial arts skills, the Four Gentlemen were no pushovers either. While it seemed that the four of them would be no match for Xue Youyou and her two companions in a one-on-one fight, they held their own against the three when fighting together.
Lu Yunchang claimed he didn't want to deal with the little girls, but in reality, he was still dealing with two of them, namely Gong Yaqian and the Holy Maiden of the Divine Palace. In a way, Lu Yunchang had to thank Hua Ruoxu's final blow, which had inflicted a moderate but not insignificant injury on the Holy Maiden of the Divine Palace, allowing him to fight two against one without showing any signs of defeat.
Hua Ruoxu's anxiety finally subsided somewhat, because judging from the current situation, Dai'er should be out of danger. As for himself, he knew his own constitution well; since he could still hold on, his injuries would definitely heal. He was very confident of that.
A gentle breeze approached, and Hua Ruoxu suddenly found himself in front of someone—Nangong Xuanyuan.
"Dai'er, how are you now?" Nangong Xuanyuan asked anxiously, looking at Su Dai'er in Hua Ruoxu's arms. Hua Ruoxu felt a little strange; hadn't he always addressed Su Dai'er as Palace Master?
"Elder, I'm fine. You can rest assured." Su Dai'er's brows furrowed slightly, seemingly somewhat dissatisfied. "
Your subordinate greets Palace Master!" Nangong Xuanyuan suddenly understood, his tone tinged with helplessness. Looking at Su Dai'er lying happily in Hua Ruoxu's arms, a despicable thought suddenly welled up in his mind.
"Young Master Hua, the Palace Mistress is injured. Please entrust her to me so I can heal her," Nangong Xuanyuan said with a smile to Hua Ruoxu. His sudden change to such politeness surprised Hua Ruoxu. However, Hua Ruoxu realized he couldn't heal Su Dai'er himself. Although Nangong Xuanyuan disliked him, he clearly cared for Su Dai'er. Entrusting her to him was indeed the best option at the moment.
Hua Ruoxu hesitated slightly before handing over Su Dai'er's delicate body. A smug look appeared on Nangong Xuanyuan's face, accompanied by a sinister grin. As he took Su Dai'er, he swiftly struck Hua Ruoxu with a palm strike.
"No!" Two cries of anguish rang out simultaneously.
*** *** ***
Hua Yuluan let out a mournful cry. Her mind was blank, and she seemed to feel nothing at all. Overwhelmed by grief, she had become numb. She watched helplessly as her beloved man, her husband, disappeared into the clouds, the air filled with billowing blood mist. The swirling smoke carried away all her hope. She walked slowly and numbly towards the edge of the cliff, step by step, until she reached the very end, yet she showed no sign of stopping.
"Sister Yuluan, no!" Su Daier cried out a second time, her steps faltering as she approached Hua Yuluan.
"He's dead, what's the point of my life?" Hua Yuluan murmured. Her heart was dead; she had lost all will to live. She hadn't even considered revenge, because it meant nothing to her. She only wanted her husband to live. He was dead; what good would revenge do? He still couldn't come back to life.
"The murderer who killed your husband is right in front of you. Don't you want revenge?" A cold voice rang out; it was Gong Yaqian.
The fighting in the arena had stopped. Xue Youyou and Jiang Qingyue rushed to the edge of the cliff, followed by Hua Feimeng. The Four Gentlemen seemed stunned, unaware of the opportunity to pursue.
Lu Yunchang also withdrew and retreated towards Su Daier. He gave Nangong Xuanyuan a cold look, clearly displeased. After all, he had personally witnessed Hua Ruoxu protecting Su Daier in the face of danger. Moreover, he felt that dealing with Hua Ruoxu in this way was beneath his dignity.
A strange smile appeared on Hua Yuluan's face. She acted as if she hadn't heard Gong Yaqian's words, only looking at Su Daier with a strange expression. She had hated Su Daier, yet now it was Su Daier who was trying to persuade her not to die. Looking at Su Daier's pale face and sorrowful eyes, it suddenly seemed as if the two shared a common language. Her hatred for her gradually faded away.
"Hua Lang!" Jiang Qingyue could no longer hold back her grief and cried bitterly. Xue Youyou suddenly hugged Jiang Qingyue, her silent tears instantly soaking her face.
"Sister Yuluan, take care!" Su Daier said softly, turning and slowly leaving, leaving only two lines of tears on the cliff edge.
A sharp pain came from her lower abdomen, and Hua Yuluan's face showed a look of pain.
"I can't die now, but don't worry, Junior Brother, Senior Sister will come to join you soon." Hua Yuluan stared blankly at the center of the swirling clouds and said softly. The news of Hua Ruoxu's death spread throughout the martial arts world instantly. For the Seven Sects and Four Families Alliance, this might be considered good news, as countless people had been hoping for his demise.
However , no one in the alliance dared to openly gloat, because several people had already died because of it. When the news of Hua Ruoxu's death first reached the alliance, a disciple of the Xue family said, "He should have died long ago!" He died immediately after saying this, not knowing why he died, but those who survived clearly saw Hua Yuluan take his head. Afterwards, many more people died at Hua Yuluan's hands for the same reason, and eventually, no one dared to mention Hua Ruoxu's name again. Hua Yuluan killed without blinking an eye, but the Seven Sects and Four Families were powerless against her. After this great shock, Hua Yuluan suddenly seemed to have improved her swordsmanship, and Hua Yufeng not only did not stop Hua Yuluan's actions but also clearly showed favoritism towards her. Hua Yuluan changed out of her favorite purple dress and into a white mourning robe, beginning her mourning for Hua Ruoxu. Volume 5, Chapter 16: A Beauty's Heartbreak (Part 2) On the edge of a cliff, a small grave stood. A soft sob echoed in this desolate place, the tranquil night sky seeming even more mournful. A woman dressed in white knelt beside the grave. "The grave of my deceased husband, Hua Ruoxu! Your concubine, Yue." She didn't understand why fate was so unfair to her. More than half a year ago, her family was destroyed, her father and brothers had all left her, and now, the man she loved had gone to heaven. Before his death, she was near him, yet could only watch helplessly as he was severely injured and plunged into the abyss. "Sister Yue, it's time to go back." A soft sigh sounded, and the white-clad, veiled woman emerged from the shadows, her eyes filled with pity as she looked at Jiang Qingyue. *** *** *** “Liu Yun, is the Palace Master awake?” Lu Yunchang asked in a low voice. Liu Yun had returned to Su Daier's side after Hua Ruoxu's accident, and Su Daier hadn't sent her away again. “Second Elder, Miss hasn't slept at all. Please go in; she's waiting for you,” Liu Yun said softly, her voice filled with worry. Lu Yunchang nodded, sighed inwardly, and slowly walked in. “Greetings, Palace Master,” Lu Yunchang bowed respectfully. “ Elder Lu, you don't need to be so polite in the future,” Su Daier slowly turned around. Lu Yunchang sighed again inwardly; her face was very haggard, and she had clearly lost a lot of weight. “Palace Master, you must take better care of your health, otherwise Young Master Hua will worry when he sees you in the future,” Lu Yunchang said softly. "Elder Lu, do you really think Brother Ruoxu might be alive?" Su Dai'er asked softly. Although she kept comforting herself that he might still be alive as long as his body wasn't found, the truth was that even if Hua Ruoxu hadn't been knocked off the cliff, he would likely have died from Nangong Xuanyuan's fatal blow. "Palace Master, Young Master Hua is loyal and righteous; Heaven will surely favor him," Lu Yunchang said, unsure of what else to say. Although Hua Ruoxu still had a chance of living, it was probably less than one in ten thousand. However, to comfort Su Dai'er, he could only say this. "Brother Ruoxu will never abandon me," Su Dai'er murmured dreamily. "Palace Master, regarding the matter you asked me to investigate, I haven't fully uncovered it yet, but I've made some progress." Lu Yunchang finally remembered the true purpose of his visit today. "It's certain that the Poison Sect was involved in the assassination attempt on you, Palace Master. However, all members of the Poison Sect have disappeared, and Fei Xu can't be found either. We still don't know who the mastermind is. But since the Poison Sect was originally under Elder Nangong's control, I think Elder Nangong should know more about it. As for those assassins, they should have never appeared before." "Elder Lu, you can ask the Grand Elder." Su Dai'er's eyes revealed a trace of resentment and pain. Her beloved person died at the hands of her only relative. What should she do? *** *** *** "You've finally come. I'm asking you, what happened to Dai'er? How did she fall victim to the Poison Sect's ambush? And why didn't you help her in the critical moment?" Nangong Xuanyuan glared at the person in front of him through gritted teeth. "Elder, I am also unaware of the Poison Sect's affairs. As for why I did not help the Palace Master, it is because I believe the time is not yet ripe." Standing opposite him was none other than Ye Bu'er. "The time is not ripe? Do you expect me to wait until Dai'er dies before you think the time is right?" Nangong Xuanyuan said angrily. "If that's how you think, Elder, I have nothing more to say," Ye Bu'er said calmly, showing none of the fear he had shown when he first met Nangong Xuanyuan. Nangong Xuanyuan's eyes blazed brightly as he stared intently at Ye Bu'er. Ye Bu'er's expression remained calm, showing no sign of distress. "So, it was you who orchestrated this from beginning to end!" Nangong Xuanyuan seemed to suddenly understand, glaring fiercely at Ye Bu'er. "I do not understand Elder's meaning," Ye Bu'er said calmly, his expression unchanged. A cold glint flashed in Nangong Xuanyuan's eyes. With a flick of his wrist, he struck Ye Bu'er with lightning speed. Ye Bu'er's expression changed slightly, his body shifting slightly as he met the attack with his right palm. Their palms clashed, and the powerful aftershocks of their true energy spread outwards. Both men took two steps back, seemingly without being at a disadvantage. "I didn't expect you to be so unassuming!" Nangong Xuanyuan said coldly. "Elder, you flatter me." Ye Bu'er smiled slightly. "How could I compare to you, Elder?" Nangong Xuanyuan was furious but helpless. He had a vague idea that all these years he thought he had Ye Bu'er firmly under his control had actually been played by Ye Bu'er.

"If Elder has nothing else, I'll take my leave!" Ye Bu'er said calmly, turning and leaving with a smug look on his lips.
*** *** ***
Hua Yuluan sat blankly in the room, staring at the doorway. The image of Hua Ruoxu gradually materialized in her eyes, smiling affectionately at her.
"Junior Brother!" Hua Yuluan murmured dreamily, rushing forward, wanting to throw herself into his arms, only to find she had grasped empty air.
The door was gently pushed open.
"Sister, don't be like this. He... he's dead!" Hua Yufeng said, turning her head away, not wanting her sister to see the tears in her eyes.
"No, he's not dead, he's not dead! I just saw him, really, sister, believe me, he's really not dead!" Hua Yuluan shook her head, speaking incoherently.
“He really isn’t dead. He must not have wanted to come back. Is he blaming me? Sister, do you think he blames me?” Hua Yuluan murmured, clutching Hua Yufeng’s hand.
“Sister, he’s dead!” Hua Yufeng cried out, tears streaming down her face. She also hoped it was all a lie, hoped Hua Ruoxu was safe and sound, but in reality, she knew it was almost impossible.
“It’s all my fault, it’s all my fault!” Hua Yuluan suddenly burst into tears, throwing herself into Hua Yufeng’s arms. Her heart was filled with self-blame and guilt. She stubbornly believed that if she hadn’t left in a fit of pique, Hua Ruoxu would be alright. She believed she had killed the person she loved most.
