Episode 1: Emerging from the Mountain (Chapter 6) The Dragon Plays in Shallow Water

This shock was no small matter; Xiao Xuan nearly collapsed.

Qi Ji, unaware of his distress, saw Xiao Xuan hesitate and, panting with a drunken look in her eyes, asked, "

My little rascal, what's wrong?" Xiao Xuan, drenched in cold sweat, thought groggily, "My God, she's a scorpion demon!"

Qi Ji, holding his foot, coaxed him seductively, "Hurry up, look how wet I am!"

Xiao Xuan struggled free, forcefully pulling away the half-melted Qi Ji, pulling up his trousers, and scrambling to his feet, his face as white as paper, saying, "Fifth Sister, I think I drank...drank too much. My head is throbbing, and...and it's getting late. We have to leave early tomorrow morning, so I have to go back." He turned and slipped away.

"What?" Qi Ji reached out to grab him but missed, whimpering, "Idiot, stop right there!"

Xiao Xuan ran even faster, disappearing into the peach blossom sea in the blink of an eye.

Qi Ji stood there, fuming for a moment, when she suddenly noticed the giant tail standing upright behind her. Realizing what had happened, she stomped her feet in anger, cursing herself repeatedly, "Damn it! Damn it! Why did you have to show yourself at this crucial moment? Ugh... I scared away such a rare beauty for no reason!"

It turned out she was a jade scorpion spirit with over six hundred years of cultivation. Because she had drunk too much wine and consumed Xiao Xuan's Condensing Essence Pill, she was in high spirits and had unknowingly revealed part of her true form, displaying her demonic tail, thus ruining their plans.

"Cui Xiao Xuan, you can't escape!" the demon said bitterly.

Xiao Xuan fled Huanong Manor in a panic, running away from Yuquan Valley and rushing back to Xiaoyao Peak. He saw only stars in the sky and didn't know what time it was.

Back in his room, he finally breathed a sigh of relief, but the effects of the wine surged again, making him almost unable to stand. Remembering that his luggage wasn't ready, he forced himself to continue packing what he needed.

He untied the sachet from his waist, glanced at the single peach bud inside, and chuckled, "I'd better take you out, so you don't stay cooped up all night." He took it out and placed the celadon vase with the peach bud on the table. Remembering that the Jade Peach Goddess said it was best to keep it in dew, he muttered to himself, "I can barely stand, how can I have time to collect dew for you? Hmm, I'll use this for now, it's very nourishing..." He then took out a Condensing Essence Pill and put it in the clear water in the celadon vase to soak.

Xiao Xuan continued packing, swaying slightly, when suddenly he remembered something. He went to the bedside, pulled a booklet from under his pillow—it was the erotic book he had secretly bought in the small town at the foot of the mountain a while ago. He grinned and said, "I can't forget this. I'll take it with me on the road; it'll help pass the time when I'm bored."

He casually flipped through a couple of pages, immediately recalling his earlier absurdity, and felt a surge of ecstasy. He flipped through a couple more pages, looking at the erotic pictures of lovemaking, his mind filled with images of Qi Ji's watery eyes, red lips, and snow-white skin. He couldn't help but feel a pang of regret: "Whatever it is..." "She wouldn't hurt me, so why did you stupidly run back?"

He continued thinking, but couldn't recall the beautiful scene beneath the flower. He dazedly wondered, "I wonder what a woman's private parts look like? I should have at least taken a peek just now..." Just as his mind was wandering, he suddenly heard someone beside him say, "Hey! What are you looking at?"

Xiao Xuan was startled and looked up to see Shui Ruo standing in front of him. He hurriedly stuffed the erotic film under his pillow and said angrily, "You... why didn't you knock before coming in?" After saying that, he remembered that his senior sister had never knocked before coming to see him.

"Knock what door! The door wasn't closed." Shui Ruo looked at him suspiciously and continued, "What are you doing sneaking around like this? Huh, you smell strongly of alcohol. Have you been drinking?"

Xiao Xuan said, "No, you... is there something wrong?"

"Can't you come if you don't have anything wrong? What treasure did Master give you today? Let me see it." Shui Ruo looked around.

Xiao Xuan's head was spinning and all he wanted to do was sleep. To get rid of her quickly, he rolled up his sleeves, untied the Flaming Dragon Whip wrapped around his arm, and handed it over, casually saying, "What good thing did Master give you? Let me see it too."

"I didn't bring anything. It's nothing special. The one Master gave Xiao Wan is amazing." Shui Ruo examined the whip from all angles, secretly injecting her true energy. Seeing no change, she switched to spiritual energy, but still there was no reaction.

"What kind of treasure is it? How... how amazing is it?" Xiao Xuan asked, her tongue slurring.

"A flute, called the Earth Spirit Flute. It can double the power of the user's Earth Spirit Summoning Technique. This afternoon I had Xiao Wan try it, and she actually summoned eight Earth Spirits at the same time."

"Wow, that's incredible!" Xiao Xuan swallowed hard.

Shui Ruo lashed the whip at empty air, making a crisp sound, but finding nothing particularly special, she asked, "What's the name of this whip? What's so special about it?"

Xiao Xuan rubbed his head and said, "It's called... it's called the Eight-Clawed Fiery Dragon Whip. I'll... I'll tell you how to use it tomorrow. You should go back now, I... I'm so sleepy."

Shui Ruo frowned and looked at him, then suddenly stepped forward and swiftly pulled out a erotic device from under her pillow.

Xiao Xuan was shocked and lunged to grab it, but she used a vortex spell to throw him back onto the bed.

Shui Ruo snorted, "So nervous... Could it be that Master is biased and has secretly passed on some secret manual to you?" She flipped open the booklet in her hand, glanced at only two pages, and suddenly her ears turned bright red. She froze and stammered, "This...this is...is..."

Xiao Xuan was extremely embarrassed and weakly said, "Give it back to me."

Shui Ruo then came to her senses, her pretty eyes glaring at him, her face a mixture of shame and anger. She said, "You stinking pig! Are you trying to kill me? You actually secretly looked at this kind of filthy stuff!"

Xiao Xuan stammered, "Why are you so nervous? What's wrong with taking a look..."

"What! How shameless! Shameless!" Shui Ruo cursed, getting angrier the more she thought about it. Suddenly, she tore the erotic booklet to shreds in a few strokes.

Xiao Xuan jumped out of bed, screaming, "Don't tear it! I finally managed to buy it! Waaah... my book..."

"You have the nerve to feel sorry for it, Cui Xiao Xuan? I'm ashamed for you!" Paper scraps fell like withered petals, and Shui Ru clapped her hands, looking righteous and awe-inspiring.

Xiao Xuan's face turned pale, and she shouted, "You... you tore my book, give it back to me!"

"Ha, you still have the nerve to talk back to me?" Shui Ru put her hands on her hips, "You actually dared to talk back to me, you must have drunk a lot! Did you sneak down the mountain just now?"

"What's wrong with drinking? Master didn't forbid me from drinking, it's none of your business!" Xiao Xuan stuck out her neck, reeking of alcohol.

"A little bit is fine, but excessive drinking is not! I'm your senior sister, so of course I have the right to control you!" Shui Ru was even angrier, but her face became even more beautiful.

"I like to drink! I want to drink! So what?" Xiao Xuan leaned forward, glaring and raising her fist.

Shui Ruo raised an eyebrow, tossed aside the Flaming Dragon Whip, and sneered, "What? Want to fight?"

"Afraid of you? I...I...Today I'm going to teach you a lesson, you arrogant, meddlesome little shrew!" Xiao Xuan felt incredibly sorry for her, and remembering how she had repeatedly "bullied" him, he finally exploded, throwing a punch at the girl's face.

"You actually dare to hit me? Your skin must be itching!" Shui Ruo was furious, but calmly raised her arm to block, using her wrist to deflect the fist flying towards her. Her other palm silently slashed out diagonally, hitting Xiao Xuan squarely in the ribs.

Xiao Xuan felt excruciating pain, gritted his teeth, and retaliated with a back elbow strike, which Shui Ruo easily deflected. A sudden shock shot through his forehead as Shui Ruo struck him with her fist. Amidst the intertwining of anger and pain, his fists flared wildly, like a ferocious tiger.

Shui Ruo channeled her Water Spirit True Qi, using a series of vortex techniques to completely neutralize Xiao Xuan's attacks, not even letting him touch the hem of her clothes.

Xiao Xuan staggered on the ground, the effects of the alcohol still surging up. His fists and feet were scattered and disorganized, with no sense of technique. In his frustration, he caught sight of the Flaming Dragon Whip on the ground, rolled over, and grabbed it. He was skilled in whip techniques, and his spirits lifted instantly. He swung the "Dragon Soaring Out of the Sea" from the side.

Caught off guard, Shui Ruo quickly sidestepped, and with a "rip," her silk

robe tore. She had already been struck on the right shoulder, and she thought in a daze, "This person actually used a whip on me..." Xiao Xuan leaped up and saw that a large section of her silk robe had been torn off by the whip, revealing not only her snow-white shoulders but also a glimpse of her emerald green bodice. She was startled, but her heart suddenly fluttered: "So that's what she was wearing underneath..."

Shui Ruo's face turned as red as blood, and she gritted her teeth and shouted, "Afraid of your weapon? Fine, I'll let you use your weapon!" She mentally prepared a technique and used the Tianchi Playful Wave Step to attack.

Xiao Xuan knew this footwork was powerful and hurriedly swung her whip to block, but in her drunken state, her movements were unsteady. In a flash, Shui Ruo was already in her arms, and with a "smack," her face suddenly stung with pain—she had received a crisp slap.

Shui Ruo sneered, "This time it's on behalf of Master to teach you a lesson!" Before Xiao Xuan could react, she appeared on his right as if in a dream, striking him on the neck again, saying, "This time it's on behalf of Senior Sister!"

Xiao Xuan felt dizzy and tried to fight back, but whether due to panic or too much alcohol, he couldn't even muster the Fire Separation Technique in his haste. He was no match for Shui Ruo, and was hit repeatedly.

Shui Ruo punched him in the chest, biting her lip, saying, "This time it's on behalf of Second Senior Sister!"

Although the force wasn't very strong, Xiao Xuan was already dizzy and disoriented, and his heart began to pound. He suddenly felt that he was far from being a match for her: "So this little wicked woman is this powerful! And I just happened to be drunk tonight, what bad luck... A wise man doesn't fight a losing battle, I'll get my revenge another day!" Losing his fighting spirit, he turned and fled towards the door.

Shui Ruo said smugly, "Trying to escape, huh!" Still relentless, she flicked her sleeve, unleashing a burst of Shui Ling True Qi in mid-air. With a quick inner hook of her arms, she forcefully pulled Xiao Xuan, who had run to the door, back. A kick flew up and struck him squarely in the buttocks.

Xiao Xuan stumbled forward two steps, then landed heavily, seemingly frozen in place, completely still.

Shui Ruo, having just kicked him, felt much of her anger dissipate. She strode forward, laughing, "This one's mine! The next one's for Xiao Wan." Just as she was about to strike again, she suddenly saw Xiao Xuan slowly turn around, his face displaying a terrifying expression she had never seen before. It wasn't ferocious or ruthless, yet it was incredibly intimidating. She froze, stammering, "You...you...what's wrong?" Xiao Xuan

, as if under a spell, lowered his eyes and calmly said, "You can hit a man's head, you can hit a man's face, but! You absolutely cannot kick a man's butt, because..." He raised his eyelids, enunciating each word clearly, "This is a man's last inviolable dignity!"

"I...I didn't mean to..." Shui Ruo stared at his face, her face turning pale with fright.

"Whoever kicks my butt, I'll make them regret it for the rest of their lives!" Xiao Xuan roared, lashing out with his whip at her head.

Shui Ruo, as if in a trance, didn't even try to dodge, only staring in terror at the crimson whip that was already between her eyebrows.

Unexpectedly, Xiao Xuan felt a sudden pang of pity and pulled her to the side, wrapping his whip around her left wrist…

Shui Ruo was thrown off balance by his movement, and her right wrist tightened, also being wrapped by the Flaming Dragon Whip.

Xiao Xuan knew he was no match for her, and if he didn't subdue her now, he would suffer endless torment later. He strode forward, activated the Fire Separation Technique, and pointed at her lower abdomen, sealing her dantian.

Shui Ruo's true energy was completely blocked, and she couldn't adapt to the sudden change. She immediately slumped to the ground, trying to get up, but Xiao Xuan pounced on her and pressed down

on her. She cried out in panic, "You… what are you doing?" Xiao Xuan was furious, raising his fist to strike, but he couldn't bring himself to do it. He glared fiercely at her, panting heavily.

Shui Ruo closed her eyes to meet his gaze, her breasts high and firm, and shouted, "Hit me! Go ahead and hit me if you dare!"

Xiao Xuan retorted angrily, "Do you think I really wouldn't dare?" Looking at her beautiful face, he still couldn't bring himself to strike, yet he couldn't think of any way to punish her.

Shui Ruo's face flushed from his weight, and she cried out, "You don't dare hit me, huh? Then let me up!"

Seeing her unusually shy expression, Xiao Xuan's heart fluttered again, his gaze unconsciously falling on her bare shoulders.

Shui Ruo's heart pounded like a startled deer, avoiding his burning gaze, and she stammered, "What...what are you looking at! Let me up!"

"I won't! What are you going to do about it?" Xiao Xuan, with a roguish grin, continued to stare at her shoulders even more brazenly, a strong desire rising within him to touch them.

"You...you...you're so lewd!" Shui Ruo struggled to her feet, and a pendant tied with an ink-black cord fell from her clothes—a jade unicorn of ice-blue color, hanging askew on her chest, seemingly staring at Xiao Xuan with eerie eyes.

Xiao Xuan pressed down hard, and in the struggle, his arm accidentally touched her breast, instantly feeling as if struck by lightning; the area he touched went numb, and his heart pounded.

Shui Ruo let out a soft moan, quickly biting her lip to stop herself, not daring to move again. Suddenly, she said, "I'm done playing, get up."

Xiao Xuan snorted and asked curiously, "You tore up my book and kicked my butt, and now you're saying you're done playing?"

"Then what do you want? You dead pig! You stinking pig! I was careless just now, if you have the guts, let me up and I'll beat you again." Shui Ruo was furious.

"You dare to curse me?" Xiao Xuan suddenly turned his anger into courage, reaching out to grab her soft shoulder. He felt its warmth, softness, and smoothness, like solidified cream. A wicked thought crossed his mind, and he suddenly grabbed the torn silk robe, tearing off a piece. More of the bodice underneath was revealed, with faint, delicate, shimmering patterns. It was clearly made of the finest silk, something that could not be found in this remote southern border region. He suddenly remembered that when she went to Yujing to visit her family two years ago, she brought back a cartload of clothes. Perhaps this emerald green bodice was one of them.

Shui Ruo was shocked, her face turning deathly pale: "You... what do you want to do!"

"Finally found a brilliant way to deal with her!" Xiao Xuan was overjoyed, staring at her panicked expression, and smiled wickedly: "You tore my book, I'll tear your clothes too, isn't that fair?"

"What! I... if you dare to do anything again, I... I..." Shui Ruo panicked.

"What will you do?" Xiao Xuan swiftly tore off another large piece of her silk robe, seeing that the emerald green corset not only made her skin look as white as ice and snow, but also made the surrounding pink flesh bulge slightly, and he felt his mouth go dry.

"You're still tearing!" Shui Ruo was so anxious that she almost cried.

"That book has twenty-one pages in total, and I've only torn three times back so far, there are still eighteen torn times left." Xiao Xuan squinted his eyes and suddenly realized that he was actually quite wicked, and a wicked pleasure welled up in his heart.

Upon hearing this, Shui Ruo nearly fainted. She thought that if she were torn a couple more times, she would be completely naked. She cried out, "Cui Xiaoxuan, if you dare to tear again… I'll kill you!"

Xiaoxuan suddenly snapped out of his daze, thinking, "She can still use her spiritual power. If she uses some magical artifact or spell, I'll be in deep trouble!" He quickly activated the Li Huo Jue (Li Huo Technique) and pointed at her crown chakra, sealing her Niwan Palace (a point on the lower abdomen).

Shui Ruo then remembered that she still had spiritual power available. She regretted her actions and struggled again, but now that her dantian and Niwan Palace were sealed, her true qi and spiritual power were blocked. She only had ordinary strength left, and how could she possibly withstand the Eight-Clawed Flaming Dragon Whip binding her wrists?

Xiao Xuan struggled to suppress his desire, their skin rubbing against each other in their entanglement, arousing him to the point of burning a fever. A sudden glance at her snow-white waist arching beneath his shirt ignited his passion, and the desire he had ignited for Qi Ji in the peach grove erupted like a raging fire. His trembling hand slipped inside her shirt, forcefully grasping her radiant waist.

Shui Ruo felt a wave of weakness wash over her, and struggled even more desperately.

Suddenly, a heart-pounding image of a beautiful woman bound in a erotic scene flashed through Xiao Xuan's mind. A wicked thought, unlike anything he had ever felt before, surged within him, uncontrollable. He lashed out with his whip a few times, firmly binding the girl's wrists to the two bed legs.

Shui Ruo lay half-reclined on the floor, her head against the edge of the bed, her small, red mouth agape, staring in terror at her seemingly unfamiliar junior brother.

Xiao Xuan, panting heavily, stared at her, feeling that this usually fierce little shrew was exceptionally alluring tonight. Without warning, he reached out and grabbed her, tearing off her emerald green bodice that tightly covered her breasts. In an instant, her two small, plump breasts sprang out, swaying gently and charmingly.

Shui Ruo gasped, desperately trying to pull her shoulders and abdomen in, but her wrists were bound on either side, and her legs were tightly pinned down, leaving her completely exposed. Her delicate, snow-white skin blushed crimson with shyness.

Xiao Xuan, losing all reason, leaned forward and pounced, impatiently exploring her body with his lips and hands. An unknown lust swelled rapidly like a demon, irresistible and uncontrollable.

The overwhelming masculine scent enveloped Shui Ruo, making her dizzy—a reaction she had never experienced before with Xiao Xuan.

Xiao Xuan's hands climbed onto the girl's plump, pink breasts, greedily kneading them before suddenly lowering his face to his lips, capturing the delicate nipples with his mouth, sucking and licking them excitedly and wildly, his hot breath constantly spraying onto the snow-white peaks.

Shui Ruo let out a soft moan, her body struggling and twisting frantically, trying to escape this deadly invasion, but the Eight-Clawed Fiery Dragon Whip possessed a miraculous binding effect, tightening its grip the more she struggled.

After a while, Xiao Xuan finally released her breasts, his lips tracing a path down her body with an intense sense of conquest, gliding over her nipples and belly, until they reached her waist. He began to loosen the ribbon of her skirt.

Shui Ruo's breathing became increasingly difficult; the surrounding air seemed to turn into sweltering steam. Her chest swelled, and her thoughts were a jumbled mess.

Xiao Xuan stood up, his voice wicked, "Let's see if you dare bully me again!" Using this as an excuse and fueled by alcohol, he suddenly thrust his hand into her loosened undergarments…

"No!" Shui Ruo cried out softly, her skin instantly breaking out in goosebumps, unsure where he had touched her.

Xiao Xuan's fingers sank into a mound of soft, creamy flesh, everything he touched was strangely tender and slippery, impossible to grasp, yet he felt an inexplicable, inexplicable excitement.

"I'm dead! He actually…" Shui Ruo's heart pounded, her body tensing and then trembling, her face burning.

Xiao Xuan was burning with desire, his mind filled with bizarre and delusional fantasies, and he became increasingly audacious.

Shui Ruo, seemingly understanding but not quite, trembled with fear and sobbed, "Please... Oh, no!"

Xiao Xuan, having lost all reason, suddenly loosened his clothes and pressed himself against her.

Shui Ruo's eyes widened, and she hunched her shoulders and waist, desperately trying to hide, unaware that this shy and timid appearance was even more alluring, provoking the man's uncontrollable madness. Suddenly realizing her forbidden zone had been attacked, she cried out and lunged forward, biting Xiao Xuan's shoulder.

Xiao Xuan felt the pain and instinctively thrust forward, his tip suddenly breaking through the mysterious shackles. In an instant, a surge of blood erupted, transforming the girl into a woman.

Episode 1: Leaving the Mountain (Chapter 7) A Night of Ecstasy
Xiao Xuan finally relaxed, seeing Shui Ruo limply draped over him, her body seemingly devoid of bones, her beautiful eyes half-open and half-closed, her soul nowhere to be found. A sudden realization struck him: "She's dead! She's in deep trouble!"

Shui Ruo's body was completely limp, her mind blank, unable to think of anything, her thoughts drifting aimlessly in the boundless void. The man's strong chest was her only support at this moment.

"If Master finds out I've bullied her like this, he'll kill me tomorrow!" Xiao Xuan grew increasingly alarmed, but recalling the ecstasy of just moments before, he felt no remorse: "Even if Master cuts me to pieces, it'll be my own fault..."

"Let me up," Shui Ruo said weakly.

Xiao Xuan quickly got up, untying the Flaming Dragon Whip binding her wrists. He didn't even dare beg for mercy, simply kneeling obediently beside her with his head bowed.

To everyone's surprise, Shui Ruo simply said in a calm voice, "Get out."

"Third Senior Sister..." Xiao Xuan stammered, his eyes catching a glimpse of the bruises left on her jade wrist by the Flaming Dragon Whip, a sight that horrified him.

"Get out!" Shui Ruo emphasized.

Xiao Xuan had never been so afraid of her before. He hurriedly pulled up his pants and fled the house. Standing at the door, he recalled his previous absurd and chaotic behavior, and suddenly became lost in thought.

It was already late at night. The mountain was cold with dew and wind, and all around was silent. The familiar grass and trees around the house were now blurred, with wisps of smoke and mist appearing and disappearing, making one wonder if they were in a dream.

Xiao Xuan stood there blankly for a while, but Shui Ruo did not move. Suddenly, fear gripped his heart: "Oh dear, what if... what if she does something rash..." Instantly, he broke out in a cold sweat and was about to run back into the house when he saw the half-open door open. A girl with disheveled hair appeared in the doorway like smoke and mist, wearing a blue robe that he had placed on the bedside table, which concealed the tattered water-green silk dress underneath.

"Senior Sister..." Xiao Xuan didn't know what to do or say, thinking to himself, "If she were to kill me right now, I would do it willingly."

Shui Ruo, however, ignored him, walking straight past him with a somewhat disheveled limp.

Xiao Xuan mustered his courage and went forward to help her, but his vision blurred and his face stung—he had received a crisp slap.

The girl continued walking.

Xiao Xuan covered his face, watching her disappear around the bend in the path, utterly distraught.

"Hey, get up!" someone shouted.

Xiao Xuan jumped out of bed, rubbing his sleepy eyes, and saw a sweet, pretty oval face with a pair of bright, lively eyes. It was his fourth senior sister, Xia Xiaowan. His heart skipped a beat, and he said, his face pale, "Master called me, didn't he?"

"Yes, you haven't forgotten that you're going down the mountain today, have you? Hurry up, everyone's waiting for you." Xiaowan said excitedly.

"Ah? Master didn't say what to do... what about me?" Xiao Xuan mumbled incoherently.

Xiao Wan glared at him and said, "What do you mean, 'what'? Aren't you awake yet! Go wash your face, I'm waiting for you."

Xiao Xuan stammered, "Where...where's Third Senior Sister? How is she?"

"She was all ready, she got up even earlier than me today."

Xiao Xuan was full of doubts: "Didn't she...didn't she say anything?"

"What did she say?" Xiao Wan asked back, then thought for a moment and suddenly said with a grin, "She said you might sleep in, so she called me over to check. Oh my, sure enough, you were sleeping like a pig. No wonder she always calls you 'pighead'."

"Did she ask you to come and wake me up?" Xiao Xuan's heart pounded.

Xiao Wan stared at him strangely: "Hey, what's wrong with you today? What's so strange about her asking me to come and get you?"

Xiao Xuan felt a sudden sense of relief and inexplicable joy, and laughed: "Okay, wait a minute, I'll go wash my face now." After leaving the house, he didn't fetch water to wash up, but instead used his Land Leap Technique to fly to a mountain stream half a mile away, quickly took a bath, used the Fire Separation Technique to dry his body, quickly put on his clothes, and ran back to the house in high spirits.

Xiao Wan was staring at the single-budded peach branch on the table, studying it: "Is this a peach blossom? How peculiar it is, the stem is almost transparent, you can see the sap inside."

Xiao Xuan then remembered, thinking that he couldn't very well tell her that there was a magical girl living inside, so he vaguely said: "There's not much time left, I'll tell you slowly on the way." He casually put the peach branch and the celadon vase into his Ruyi Pouch.

Xiao Wan looked around the room and said, "Remember to bring enough things. Don't always forget things. Double-check if there's anything else you need."

Xiao Xuan had been drinking and acting recklessly last night, and was extremely exhausted. He collapsed immediately after Shui Ruo left and slept until dawn. Sure enough, he hadn't packed his luggage yet, so he hurriedly tidied up, stuffing many things he didn't know he should bring

into his Ruyi Pouch. Anyway, its capacity was amazing, so why not use it?

Xiao Wan frowned and said, "Hurry up! Why did you bring so much stuff!"

"Better safe than sorry..." Xiao Xuan stuffed in the last large piece of Qingying, tied the Ruyi Pouch to his waist, touched his disheveled hair, and suddenly begged, "Good senior sister, can you help me comb my hair?"

"What? How old are you? Comb your own hair!" Xiao Wan refused.

Xiao Xuan grinned, "We're going down the mountain today, so help me look presentable. If I look handsome, you, as my senior sister, will be proud."

Xiao Wan hadn't combed his hair for two or three years. Recalling the warm times of the past, she felt a pang of nostalgia. Finally, she said, "Alright, considering today's special occasion, this will be the only time. Don't do it again. Bring me the comb."

Xiao Xuan sat comfortably in the chair, watching his sweet and pretty senior sister carefully combing his hair. A wave of happiness washed over him. He casually said, "After we go down the mountain and reach a big town, I'll definitely buy you a box of the finest cosmetics. I'll also help you draw your eyebrows then."

Xiao Wan was stunned for a moment, then her cheeks flushed. She lightly spat out, "What nonsense are you talking about! Why are you always acting so crazy?"

Xiao Xuan was puzzled and glared at her. "You're not happy about me giving you something?"

Xiao Wan glared back at him, seemingly annoyed but not really, muttering something under her breath.

Xiao Xuan said, "What did you say? Don't be like a mosquito."

"Pig brain!" Xiao Wan shouted.

When the two arrived at Zizhi Pavilion, Xiao Xuan saw that his senior master, Lishan Laomu, his master, Cui Caiting, his junior master, Feiluo, and several senior sisters had already gathered on the pavilion platform. He quickly stepped forward to pay his respects to the three masters one by one.

Cui Caiting frowned slightly, but did not scold him. She only said, "If you arrive any later, you can stay and guard the mountain."

Xiao Xuan stuck out his tongue and kowtowed to Fei Luo, saying ingratiatingly, "Good morning, 33rd Martial Uncle. This disciple greets you."

Fei Luo smiled and said, "Can't get out of bed? What did you do last night?"

Xiao Xuan was startled and hurriedly looked for Shui Ruo. He saw her leaning on Li Mengtang's arm, chatting about something, her expression normal. He felt relieved and smiled as he replied, "Because I'm going down the mountain today, I'm excited and fell asleep

very late , so I got up late."

Fei Luo stared at him, her smile seeming somewhat strange: "Is that so? Being too excited isn't good. Who knows... who knows, you might do something foolish."

Upon hearing this, Xiao Xuan's face immediately turned pale. He was filled with doubt and uncertainty, and for a moment, he didn't know how to respond.

Seeing that everyone had arrived, Cui Caiting bowed to the Old Mother of Lishan and said, "We'll set off now. We'll leave Xiaoyao Peak to you, Senior Sister."

The Old Mother of Lishan smiled and said, "Go with peace of mind. Be careful on the road. The Sect Leader instructed that if things don't go smoothly, don't push yourself too hard. We'll make plans when we return."

Cui Caiting agreed and said to the person beside her, "Bring me the pouch."

The maid Zhaixia quickly handed over the pouch. Cui Caiting took it, cast a spell to open it, and took out a long sword. As soon as she drew it from its sheath, a strange light flashed, making the pavilion appear dreamlike. It was the supreme divine weapon of the Xuan Sect—the Dream-Entering Sword.

Xuehan, knowing her master was about to use the sword-flying technique, called out, "Everyone, please step aside." Everyone stepped back, clearing a space.

Cui Caiting chanted an incantation and tossed the sword into the air. Suddenly, the sword rapidly grew larger and longer, becoming the size of a boat in the blink of an eye, hovering steadily above the pavilion.

The Old Mother of Lishan nodded, pleased, and said, "Junior Sister's skill has improved again, congratulations!"

Cui Caiting bowed to her, then took the lead, leaping onto the sword, with Zhaixia following behind, holding the scabbard.

Xuehan bowed to Feiluo, respectfully saying, "Please, Martial Aunt, move along."

Feiluo said, "Senior Sister, I'm going now." She also bid farewell to the Old Mother of Lishan and ascended into the Dream Realm. Only

then did Xuehan lead her fellow disciples to pay their respects to the Old Mother and take their leave, filing onto the sword in single file.

After everyone had settled, Cui Caiting activated her divine weapon, and the Dream Realm soared into the sky like a rainbow, riding the wind and clouds into the distance.

It was Xiao Xuan's first time experiencing his master's sword-flying technique. As soon as he stepped onto the sword, he grabbed the front position. Before he could even settle down, he was already disappearing into the clouds with the sword. All around was a white, hazy expanse. Slightly frightened, he quickly knelt down, hearing the wind whistling past his ears, not knowing how far he had flown.

Just as he was feeling bewildered, the clouds suddenly parted, revealing an endless expanse of clear blue sky. His spirits lifted instantly, and he turned to look down. Below him, undulating peaks and deep valleys stretched out, the trees barely visible, as if transformed into a lush, verdant carpet covering the earth, like waves. Looking back, the Thousand Green Mountains, stretching for hundreds of miles, were no longer majestic, but rapidly shrinking in concentric circles, gradually disappearing into the swirling mist.

Xiao Xuan felt a surge of exhilaration, his fear vanishing. He stood up again, facing the wind at the tip of his sword, and let out a joyful shout.

"Hold on tight, or you'll fall!" Xiao Wan warned from behind.

Xiao Xuan turned around and found everyone smiling at her. She felt a little embarrassed by her own smugness and said to Xiao Wan, "It's so magnificent! It's breathtaking!"

Xiao Wan pursed her lips and said, "I didn't say you couldn't be captivated, I just told you to be careful."

Xiao Xuan suddenly noticed that she was wearing a green gauze shirt that she only wore during festivals, with a long skirt adorned with polka dots underneath. Her black hair was combed up and looked exceptionally fresh and sweet. Now, with her clothes fluttering in the wind, she looked like a fairy on water. Xiao Xuan was momentarily stunned, thinking, "Xiao Wan is so beautiful. How come I never noticed before…" Suddenly, she remembered Shui Ruo and looked over, only to find her staring intently in their direction. Her heart pounded.

Shui Ruo turned her face away, coldly looking elsewhere.

"Why didn't she tell Master about me?" Xiao Xuan stared, his mouth agape. He found her even more charming and beautiful than usual. Besides that, he felt something was different about her. Looking closer, he suddenly noticed that she had changed her hairstyle to one she had never done before, tying her hair into a bun that resembled the style worn by women in small towns at the foot of the mountain. In an instant, his soul was captivated, and he began to daydream.

Xiao Xuan's mind wandered for a while, and he became infatuated: "What's going on? I've always thought Master and Second Senior Sister were the most beautiful. Yesterday, after seeing Martial Aunt Fei Luo, I thought she was the most beautiful. But looking at her today, it turns out that Shui Ruo is no less beautiful than them..."

His eyes slowly moved, stealthily sweeping over each of the women. Perhaps because of the ecstasy of the previous night, Xiao Xuan suddenly realized that each of the women possessed their own unique charm: Fei Luo was voluptuous, her beauty almost bewitching, her captivating eyes seemingly able to steal one's soul; Xue Han was slender, her elegant and aloof demeanor radiating a captivating aura, possessing an innate ethereal quality; Li Mengtang was graceful and gentle, her peach-blossom cheeks and snow-white skin exceptionally beautiful; Cheng Shui Ruo was slender and graceful, her bright and beautiful appearance radiating a captivating spirit, her mischievousness and shrewishness making one's heart flutter; Xia Xiao Wan was petite, sweet, charming, naive, quiet, and adorable, the most pleasing to the eye; even the maid Zhai Xia was born with red lips, white teeth, and picturesque features, not inferior to anyone else in the slightest.

Xiao Xuan secretly mustered his courage, his gaze finally stealing a turn to Cui Cai Ting, but he felt a strange and unique feeling filling his heart, the more he looked, the more amazed he became by her beauty, perhaps out of awe, he dared not savor it too closely.

At this moment, Ru Meng had already ascended to a great height, with rolling white clouds still beneath her feet. Sunlight shone down, making the sword's radiance shine brightly, illuminating the beauties and making them appear like goddesses and celestial maidens, further captivating those who were infatuated.

In the first episode, "Leaving the Mountain (Chapter 8)," the monster-slaying competition
, Cui Caiting, though a rogue immortal, had reached the flying immortal realm of "traveling to the North Sea in the morning and Cangwu in the evening." However, because Shui Ruo, Xiao Wan, and Xiao Xuan's cultivation was relatively shallow, they could not withstand the intense flight, so they slowed down, only arriving at the Great Swamp Plain, hundreds of miles away, in the afternoon.

The group could see a town below, quite large in scale, bordered by a river to the north and vast fields of rice paddies crisscrossed to the southeast. Cui Caiting asked, "What place is this?"

Xue Han had been to this area before and replied, "Below is Wangze, one of the largest towns on the edge of the Daze Plain. Merchants entering Daze from the south often stop here to rest."

Cui Caiting immediately flew down on her sword, landing in a secluded spot a few miles outside the city. She put away her dream-entering ability and looked down at a tavern by the roadside. She said, "Let's start our investigation from this area. I've heard that Daze is quite desolate with few villages and towns. Let's go get something to eat first and prepare some dry food and water."

The group entered the tavern, ordered tea and rice, and while they were eating, they suddenly heard a commotion outside. The waiter guessed that a big order had arrived and hurriedly came out to greet them.

A group of over twenty men surged in through the doorway, all carrying weapons at their waists and on their backs—mostly heavy weapons like hammers and axes. Upon seeing the women, their eyes lit up with surprise; some felt ashamed and dared not look too closely, while others stared intently, quite rudely.

Cui Caiting, Xue Han, and Li Mengtang calmly continued eating. Fei Luo seemed oblivious to their surroundings, Xiao Wan's cheeks flushed slightly, Zhai Xia bit her lip in a hint of reproach, Shui Ruo's brows furrowed slightly, as if angry, and Xiao Xuan raised an eyebrow, about to erupt.

Cui Caiting looked at him and said, "What are you doing?"

Xiao Xuan remembered the promise he had made to her before leaving the mountain and froze.

Cui Caiting said, "It's naturally not as peaceful outside as on the mountain. Everyone should eat quietly. If anyone causes trouble, they will be punished severely."

Xiao Xuan could only bury his head in his food.

The group, their necks bulging, shouted to the shopkeeper, "No need to ask, bring on whatever you have!" They filled five or six tables, making the tavern suddenly very crowded.

A burly man in brocade robes, with a thick beard, seemed to be their leader. He sat at a nearby table, his golden sword flashing, staring at Fei Luo with unbridled arrogance.

Xiao Xuan caught a glimpse of this out of the corner of his eye and thought angrily, "If you look at me a couple more times, I'll turn your potato eyes into panda eyes!"

Several of the bearded man's companions noticed and raised their cups in a toast. One of them laughed, "Second-in-command, this time Young Master Fang has raised the bounty again. Each skull will be worth eight taels of silver. As long as we can still make a good harvest like last time, we'll be rolling in money. Will we still have to worry about not having women? Haha!" The others joined in with loud, lewd laughter.

The burly man, still staring intently at Fei Luo, practically drooling, shook his head and sighed, "Even the top courtesan of Baiyulou couldn't compare to this one."

Fei Luo seemed to hear him, smiled, put down her chopsticks, turned her head, and gave the man a charming, reproachful look—truly captivating and alluring.

The men were instantly stunned, their muscles trembling and their souls drained.

Xiao Xuan also stood there, mouth agape, dumbfounded.

Cui Caiting suddenly said coldly, "Anyone who hurts people indiscriminately shouldn't come to Yujing with me."

A flash of murderous intent crossed Fei Luo's eyes, but she turned back, grinning, "No, I just thought those guys were quite interesting."

The men took a while to recover, and then one of them said, "By the way, I heard in town yesterday that someone killed a few Red Bone Skeletons and sent them to Zeyang City, exchanging each for fifty taels of silver."

Xiao Xuan's heart skipped a beat when he heard the words "Red Bone Skeletons," and he saw Xue Han and Li Mengtang exchange a glance.

"Fifty taels for one? You didn't hear wrong, did you?" The bearded man stared with wide, potato-like eyes, seemingly incredulous.

"It's absolutely true. I heard it from a friend who just came back from Zeyang City the other day. He's my best buddy since childhood, he would never lie to me."

Another said, "I heard it too. Apparently, there's someone in Zeyang City who specializes in buying those Red Skulls."

"Where did you find those Red Skulls?" the bearded man asked.

"I heard it was in the ancient military camp near Qianqiu. Second Boss, why don't we go deeper this time and see if we can find some of those good stuff? If we're lucky, we can bring back thirty or fifty of them, and then we'll go to the Immortal Pavilion in Zeyang City to have some fun. Hehe, in that paradise, you can find as many beautiful women as you want!"

"Great!" the bearded man slammed his hand on the table. "Bring plenty of food later, let's go to the ancient military camp too!" The men raised their glasses together, their faces showing excitement.

Suddenly, someone stammered, "I wonder if those red skeletons are sharp? We...we don't know if we have enough manpower?"

A rough voice next to him sneered, "Damn, scared? Then go home and hug your son. What are you afraid of following our second-in-command? You're spineless!"

The man who had spoken earlier blushed and cursed, "Better safe than sorry! Why are you so anxious about asking a few questions? If you piss me off, I'll chop you up with an axe!" The two started shouting at each other. The bearded man didn't stop them, but just clinked glasses with the others and drank heartily. His eyes kept darting towards the girls. This time, he didn't just look at Fei Luo, but also feasted his eyes on Li Mengtang and Cheng Shuoruo.

"How dare he look at Shuoruo like that..." Xiao Xuan slurped his noodles angrily, secretly plotting how to teach this ignorant guy a lesson.

After the girls finished eating, Cui Caiting instructed Li Mengtang to take Xiao Wan and Xiao Xuan to buy some dry food. The group then got up and left the tavern.

"There really is something foul in this area," Cui Caiting said.

Xue Han said, "There must be quite a few, which is why this large-scale hunt has occurred."

"And blood skeletons have appeared," Li Mengtang added with a frown.

"Blood skeletons? Are those the red bone skeletons those guys were talking about?" Xiao Xuan asked excitedly.

Li Mengtang nodded and said, "Since they're red bones and someone's collecting them, it's probably true, because blood skeleton bones are a rare magical material."

Fei Luo said, "Blood skeletons are almost impossible to form naturally, so it seems someone is indeed causing trouble here. No wonder there are so many strange phenomena in this area."

Cui Caiting pondered for a moment and said, "Let's go check out that ancient military camp. Xiao Xuan, go ask where the trench is."

Xiao Xuan got the general direction of the trench from the shopkeeper, and Cui Caiting led the group to avoid the road and used a land-based flight technique to speed away.

After passing two villages, the hills became more numerous, and the surroundings became increasingly desolate. There were no more houses or people in sight. Xuehan, who was flying at the front, suddenly stopped and stood on a rocky hill. The rest of the group immediately stopped as well.

Xiao Xuan looked around and saw broken skeletons lying among the rocks, scattered and incomplete, all missing their heads, which was quite bizarre. After counting them briefly, he exclaimed, "There are twenty or thirty of them. They've all been headless by hunters?"

Xue Han said, "Yes, and they must have run into an expert. These low-level skeletons have no power to resist."

Xiao Xuan asked curiously, "Senior Sister, how do you know?"

Li Mengshang said, "Skeletons are not stiff even when broken. The smartest and most effective way to deal with them is to break their spines. Don't you think so?"

Xiao Xuan looked carefully and indeed saw that the spines of the skeletons were either broken or fractured. He then realized, "I see."

After searching for a while, the group found nothing else, so they continued to rush forward. After only ten miles or so, they found one after another headless skeletons, and the number was increasing. They were all surprised.

Li Mengshang said as she ran, "I didn't expect so many people to come here to hunt skeletons."

Xiao Xuan, who had wanted to show off his skills, was slightly disappointed to have been beaten to it. "It seems we won't find any living skeletons."

Xiao Wan chuckled beside her, "Are there any living skeletons?"

Xiao Xuan argued, "A skeleton that can move is alive."

Suddenly, Shui Ruo said coldly from ahead, "Xiao Wan, haven't you heard that there was a time when a dead person suddenly climbed out of their coffin because of an argument? Since dead people can come alive, what's so strange about living skeletons?"

Xiao Wan smiled and said, "Hmm, I understand."

Xiao Xuan didn't dare to reply and kept running, but felt a strange joy in his heart.

Xue Han, who was running at the front, suddenly stopped and stared at the dense bushes ahead with a serious expression.

The others stopped, all smelling a foul, nauseating odor. Fei Luo murmured, "There must be something strange here..." She walked sideways to a spot and stopped in front of several large trees covered in vines.

Xiao Xuan quickly followed and asked, "Thirty-third Uncle, is something wrong here?"

Fei Luo pointed ahead and said, "Pull these vines away."

Xiao Xuan flicked his arm, and the Eight-Clawed Fiery Dragon Whip flew out from his sleeve like a rainbow. In a few swift movements, it shredded and tore apart the thick, tangled vines. Suddenly, a thick, almost tangible stench assaulted his senses, making him stagger and feel nauseous.

"Ah!" Shui Ruo cried out in surprise, her delicate body stiffening.

It turned out that among several large trees was a circular pool made of thousands of human heads, filled with thick, almost congealed, dark red blood. Floating on the surface were countless sticky entrails that looked like hearts, livers, intestines, and other organs.

Everyone's faces turned extremely pale. Xiao Wan trembled and said, "What...what is this?"

Fei Luo, a master of formations, understood immediately upon seeing it. She stared intently and said, "It's an evil energy field." "

A Gathering Resentment and Binding Spirit Formation?" Li Mengtang asked hesitantly.

"Yes, no wonder I've heard people say that Fairy Qing Ni is knowledgeable and has a vast knowledge." Fei Luo said admiringly.

Li Mengtang nodded and said, "Those were just jokes, Uncle-Master, please don't take them seriously."

"Let's go, let's go look elsewhere. If there's another blood pool like this about seven miles away in the Gen position, it's probably the Gathering Resentment and Binding Spirit Array." Fei Luo finished speaking and took the lead.

The others followed using their land-based flying techniques.

Xiao Xuan suddenly remembered that Shui Ruo was most afraid of these things. He turned his head and saw that she was pale and dazed. He quickly slowed down and whispered, "Third Senior Sister, don't stand too close later."

Shui Ruo continued to run quickly, and after a while, she nodded almost indistinctly.

Xiao Xuan couldn't help but say again, "Last...last night I...I..."

Shui Ruo glanced at him and glared at him fiercely.

Xiao Xuan was so frightened that he quickly shut his mouth and buried his head as he rushed forward.

The jungle became denser and denser, and there was no way to go. Half an incense stick later, the group indeed found another terrifying blood pool that looked exactly the same about seven miles away in the Gen position.

"What exactly is this 'Gathering Resentment and Binding Spirit Array'?" Cui Caiting asked.

Fei Luo replied, "Ninth Senior Sister, the Gathering Resentment and Binding Spirit Array is an evil array that demonizes the remains of the dead. It's a secret technique of the Root Sect. It hasn't appeared for hundreds of years since the Skeleton Ancestor was besieged by the immortals and killed by the Recluse of Juku Continent, Fenxu."

Cui Caiting said, "It seems things are indeed not simple. Someone is using this ancient battlefield to wreak havoc."

Xiao Wan asked, "Could it be that those skulls that were hunted were used to build this blood pool?"

"No, skeletons have absolutely no flesh and skin," Fei Luo shook her head and said, "but the human heads used to build these blood pools still have skin and flesh. Judging from the degree of decay, they haven't been there for more than three months."

Xiao Wan suppressed her nausea and looked over. Sure enough, those heads were very different from the white skeletons she had encountered along the way. Although they were decaying, the flesh and skin were still there, and some even had eyeballs hanging down from their faces. Her face was ashen as she said, "Could it be that someone is hunting living people and using their... heads to..."

Xue Han's eyes flashed with a sharp light, and she said calmly, "That is undoubtedly true. Someone is using the heads, blood, and internal organs of living people to perform evil magic to corrupt the remains in this area."

"Each blood pool receives evil power from the main pool at the center of the formation, then demonizes the skeletons within a radius of several miles. This place was once an ancient battlefield, with countless remains, making it the perfect place to perform this evil magic." Fei Luo paused for a moment, then continued, "The skeletons we saw along the way were mostly demonized by these blood pools, but we don't know who killed them."

Cui Caiting pondered and asked, "How many blood pools are in a Gathering Resentment and Binding Spirit Formation?"

Fei Luo said, "It depends on the skill of the formation setter and the size of the main pool. Small ones are no more than three or five, while large ones can reach hundreds or thousands, completely covering the entire Daze Plain."

Li Mengtang gasped, "Not counting anything else, just the remains of those 400,000 slaughtered surrendered soldiers, if they were all successfully demonized, would be an unimaginable catastrophe."

Xiao Xuan blurted out, "Then let's quickly destroy all these blood pools and thwart their evil plan!"

Fei Luo smiled at him and shook her head.

"Pig brain!" Shui Ru cursed inwardly, then couldn't help but say, "If there are hundreds or thousands of blood pools here, when will we ever be able to destroy them all? Since they all receive their evil power from the main pool, wouldn't it be enough if we just destroyed the main pool?"

Cui Caiting nodded slightly, and Fei Luo smiled, "Shui Ru is so clever."

Xiao Xuan slapped his forehead and exclaimed, "That makes sense! Great idea! Why didn't I think of that?" He looked at the beautiful woman expectantly, smiling ingratiatingly, hoping she would smile at him too, even if it was just a weak smile.

Shui Ru snorted softly and turned her face away.

Cui Caiting looked at Fei Luo and asked, "Can you find the location of the main pool?"

Fei Luo said, "Let's try, follow me." Before she finished speaking, she had already leaped up again, heading towards the next Gen position based on this point.

"Huh? There's a lake here," Fei Luo said.

A small lake, as green as jade, appeared before them, lying quietly in the embrace of the forest, its surface as smooth as a mirror.

"Look, look! There's an island in the middle of the lake! It's so beautiful!" Xiao Wan exclaimed.

As they approached, they saw a high, blue-green platform standing on the island. A building stood on it, with flowing eaves and flying tiles, serene and elegant, but lifeless. Many parts had collapsed, and vines hung everywhere.

Xiao Xuan asked curiously, "What is this place? It looks unusual."

No one answered. Shui Ruo, with her sharp eyes, pointed and said, "There seems to be a bridge over there."

The group circled the lake, and as their angle changed, they gradually saw a suspension bridge extending from the platform on the island, connecting to the dense forest on the opposite bank.

"Let's go to the island and take a look," Cui Caiting said, rushing towards the bridgehead.

Suddenly, they vaguely heard a strange noise, interspersed with shouts, and quickly followed the sound.

Passing through a dense thicket, the view opened up before them, revealing dozens of soldiers and over a hundred skeletons locked in fierce combat on the open ground at the bridgehead—a scene both spectacular and bizarre.

Although the skeletons were numerous, they were all unarmed, relying only on their claws and teeth, clearly the lowest level of skeleton spirits.

The soldiers, on the other hand, were fully armed, wearing iron helmets and heavy leather tunics, carrying round shields. Their weapons were not the common hiltless swords, but uniformly short axes. They maintained a disciplined formation throughout the fierce battle, calm yet ruthless, and despite their smaller numbers, they held the upper hand.

Xue Han stared intently, noticing that the round shields held by the soldiers all had a fierce-looking tiger's head cast on the front, and said, "They are tiger-headed shield bearers from the Imperial Army."

Li Mengtang said, "These shield bearers must have been instructed by a master; they've all replaced their swords with axes, which are more effective against skeletons, and they know their weaknesses perfectly."

Xiao Xuan saw that the soldiers were indeed targeting the skeletons' spines, chopping them down with just a few axe blows, and shook his head, saying, "It's simply a massacre." He felt a pang of disappointment; it seemed he wouldn't be able to show off his skills again.

At the bridgehead, a dozen or so soldiers remained unmoved, standing side by side protecting a handsome young man. He wore a brocade robe, a jade crown, thick eyebrows, bright eyes, and slightly dark skin. His expression was calm, yet he exuded an air

of authority without anger. Standing there with his hands behind his back, he possessed an undeniable air of noble elegance. Skeletons fell one after another, leaving only a few dozen pitiful skeletons hopping around. They showed no fear, still instinctively and frantically attacking the intruders.

Fei Luo said, "The skeletons here have not only attracted the hunting of adventure teams but also the encirclement of government troops. It seems they won't pose a threat. If there aren't many blood skeletons, we can simply ignore them."

Cui Caiting said, "We'll just destroy the main pool. The remaining evil spirits can be cleaned up by the government troops and demon hunters. Let's go, continue searching for the main pool."

Just as the group was about to leave, a loud snapping sound rang out, and hundreds of skeletons suddenly sprang out of the dense forest opposite, their momentum overwhelming. The formation of the swordsmen was momentarily disrupted, and four or five soldiers were knocked to the ground, letting out chilling screams. The

young man in brocade robes beside them shouted loudly, clearly directing his troops to maintain their composure and restore their formation.

Xiao Xuan immediately perked up and said to Cui Caiting, "Master, may I go help them?"

Cui Caiting, seeing that the swordsmen had quickly regained their footing, initially hesitated, but seeing his eagerness, she finally nodded.

Xiao Xuan was overjoyed. With a strange cry, he leaped out like a great bird, his crimson whip swirling like a dragon from his sleeve in mid-air, instantly piercing the body of a skeleton. He swung his arm back, sending bones flying everywhere.

Two skeletons leaped up, grabbing upwards, but their four bony arms snapped instantly as the Eight-Clawed Fiery Dragon Whip brutally severed them. With two sharp cracks, they shattered into countless bones, some still burning.

Xiao Xuan landed, whipping the whip around, instantly clearing a large area. He then deftly tucked the whip into his sleeve, standing proudly with a slight step. One of the skeletons, spinning wildly, finally came to a stop, then suddenly snapped in two at the waist with a crack, falling to the ground like a broken body.

The young man in brocade robes watching from the sidelines looked on in astonishment.

"Wow! That's amazing!" Wan'er clapped her hands and exclaimed, "So powerful? Go Xiao Xuan!"

The young man in brocade robes turned his gaze and saw the group of beautiful women who seemed like celestial beings; his eyes immediately lit up.

Xiao Xuan glanced over and saw Shui Ru staring blankly at him, and couldn't help but feel a surge of joy and pride.

But the skeletons showed no fear, nor did they give him any face. He didn't get to enjoy his victory for long, and they continued their roaring, surging forward.

Xiao Xuan quickly cracked his whip, wielding it with incredible speed and power, almost instantly shattering or felling skeletons with every strike, as if he were in an empty field.

The tiger-headed swordsmen, now reinforced, became even more ferocious and unstoppable, felling dozens more skeletons in the blink of an eye.

Suddenly, the brocade-robed young master raised an arm, made a gesture, and shouted something.

The swordsmen immediately retreated, focusing on defense and withdrawing from the arena to form a protective circle around the young master.

Xiao Xuan thought to himself, "What's going on... are they upset that I stole their thunder? Do they want me to deal with all these skeletons by myself? Hmph, is the Little Saint afraid of this?" He roused himself, channeling his inner fire energy, and felt the Fiery Dragon Whip in his hand move with increasing fluidity and exhilaration.

The young man in brocade robes loosened his collar, tossed off his robes, and took a long, black staff from his subordinate. He swiftly swept it past the swordsmen and into the arena, shouting, "Begin!" With a thunderous thud, he smashed a skull in two.

Xiao Xuan was slightly taken aback, but then saw him spin and sweep, cleaving another skull in two. "Two to zero!" he exclaimed. Realizing the young man wanted to challenge him, Xiao Xuan's competitive spirit flared. He whipped his sword at the skull, eager to prove himself.

Both fought fiercely, their movements like leaves in a whirlwind. Crackling sounds filled the air, bones flying everywhere, and the skulls were almost helpless.

Xiao Xuan, wielding a divine weapon, quickly took the lead, triumphantly shouting, "Nine to six!"

The young man, unwilling to lag behind, unleashed his inner energy, hacking and sweeping with incredible force. Each swing of his staff seemed to carry the sound of thunder and lightning, his power astonishing. In the blink of an eye, he had caught up with the number of monsters killed.

Fei Luo said, "Not bad, this kid's skill is not bad."

Xue Han said, "His staff technique is also quite good, but why does it look a bit familiar..."

Seeing that he was gradually catching up, Xiao Xuan's eyes rolled, and a wicked idea immediately arose. He suddenly swung his whip at the skeleton that the young master was about to strike, wrapped it around his arm, and pulled it away.

The young master missed his target with his staff, looked around, and saw that the skeleton had been whipped into a ball of fire by Xiao Xuan. He was slightly stunned, and shouted angrily, "You stole my monster!" He leaped to Xiao Xuan's side and stabbed at the skeleton in front of him.

Xiao Xuan spun his arm and wrapped the skeleton away, flung it in mid-air, and lashed it in two with his whip. He said with a grin, "You think you can beat me!"

The young master angrily said, "We'll see!" He was not willing to show any weakness and fought hard to snatch it.

However, Xiao Xuan's Eight-Clawed Fiery Dragon Whip was over two zhang long, and he was skilled in capturing and binding, making him extremely agile in stealing monsters. Before long, the gap between the two had widened to thirty-nine to twenty-six.

Seeing that things were not going well, the soldiers around shouted angrily: "Damn it! Stealing monsters, how dare you cheat in front of the young marquis!" "You dare to bully our young marquis Fang? We'll tear you to pieces later!" "You brat! You're asking for death!"

Xiao Xuan didn't take them seriously and said to the young marquis Fang: "So you're a high-ranking official. Why don't we stop competing and just give me an order to admit defeat?"

The young marquis Fang's eyes blazed with fire, and he roared to the side: "Shut up, all of you!"

Xiao Xuan smiled: "You have some magnanimity, but your skills are just so-so." He wielded the whip with increasing ease and elegance, showing off with a Golden Bell Inverted Swing, sending the two skeleton whips that missed their mark flying.

Sweat beaded on Young Master Fang's forehead. Seeing the remaining skeletons dwindling, he grew increasingly anxious. Suddenly, he let out a cold snort and stopped, sheathing his staff.

Xiao Xuan landed and, seeing him in a meditative state, wondered, "Has he given up? Hmm, the gap is so vast, there's no way he can catch up." Just as this thought crossed his mind, he saw Young Master Fang raise an arm, two fingers holding a mysterious black talisman. With a flick of his wrist, the talisman burst into flames and shot out like a meteor.

Xiao Xuan was astonished: "This kid actually knows how to use talismans?" Suddenly, seven or eight black shadows silently darted out from the void, some on horseback, others on foot, moving with the ferocity of a general charging into battle. Their

bodies were covered in spiky patterns, and before he could even make out their appearance, they had already swept past the skeletons and vanished in a flash. The previously lively skeletons suddenly froze, a bizarre sight.

"Huh? Ambush talisman..." Fei Luo exclaimed in surprise.

With a crisp "crack," a skeleton suddenly split open, followed by the rest of the skeletons shattering and falling to the ground in disarray.

In the blink of an eye, not a single skeleton remained standing on the field.

Young Master Fang tossed aside his staff, turned around with his hands behind his back, and smiled at the dumbfounded Xiao Xuan, saying, "Forty-seven to forty-six, sorry, you lost." (

Episode 1: Leaving the Mountain (Chapter 9): The Mystery of the Ruins)
Xiao Xuan's handsome face flushed red. He carefully counted and, sure enough, he had lost by one. Furious, he shouted, "That doesn't count! That doesn't count! You cheated with a talisman! Let's find another skeleton and compete again!"

The soldiers around him clamored, "Pah! You won't admit defeat!" "Damn it, you brat, try arguing again, I've wanted to beat you up for ages!" "Our Young Master Fang is a disciple of immortals, with superb martial arts and great supernatural powers. You're far inferior to him!"

Xiao Xuan roared in anger, his sword-like eyebrows twitching, and he brandished his whip, ready to take on the fifty or sixty tiger-headed swordsmen one-on-one.

Young Master Fang gestured to quell the commotion and smiled at Xiao Xuan, saying, "Young hero, all's fair in war, especially when it comes to clever tactics. Besides, you're using a divine weapon and you got to the monster first, so my using a talisman isn't excessive, is it?"

Xiao Xuan was speechless, thinking that he had indeed gained a considerable advantage using the Eight-Clawed Fiery Dragon Whip.

"Are you a disciple of Zhaixingzi?" Cui Caiting suddenly asked from the front of the dense forest.

Upon hearing this, Young Master Fang quickly turned to the group of beauties, bowed, and said, "Zhaixing Zhenren is indeed my master. May I ask which immortals you are?"

"No wonder you have an ambush talisman, I remember now..." Fei Luo laughed, "You're the disciple of Senior Brother Zhaixing who became a high-ranking official, Fang... Fang what? Then quickly come over and kowtow." Pointing to Cui Caiting, she said, "She is your Aunt Ruyi, and I am called Fei Luo, have you heard of me?"

Young Master Fang was overjoyed and immediately knelt down to kowtow, respectfully saying, "Disciple Fang Shaolin greets Ninth Martial Uncle and Thirty-Third Martial Uncle." It turned out that he was the grandson of Fang Shangshao, a famous marquis of the Sun and Moon Dynasty, and the son of Fang Baijun, the former magistrate of Daze. Because his grandfather and grandfather had both made extremely high contributions and had passed away, he had inherited the title of First-Class Marquis of Loyalty and Tranquility and was also appointed magistrate of Daze.

Cui Caiting called him up and asked, "Where is your master now?"

Fang Shaolin said, "My master said that I have shallow roots and shallow blessings and have no affinity for the immortal path. He left Zeyang two years ago and went to travel. This disciple does not know where he is now."

Zhaixingzi ranked eleventh among the third-generation disciples of the Xuanjiao. He was most skilled in the art of talismans and was a top talisman refiner among the wandering immortals of the mortal realm. The ambush talisman that Fang Shaolin just used was a secret talisman that he had made himself.

Cui Caiting said, "These are all your fellow disciples. Take this opportunity to get to know them."

Fang Shaolin greeted them one by one. He had long heard of Xue Han and Li Mengtang's reputations and was both surprised and delighted, repeatedly saying, "Please give me your guidance, senior sisters."

Cui Caiting called over Xiao Xuan and said to Fang Shaolin, "This is your senior brother, Cui Xiao Xuan. Don't take what happened earlier to heart."

Fang Shaolin was slightly older than Xiao Xuan, but because their master, Zhai Xingzi, was ranked after Cui Caiting, he should address Xiao Xuan as his senior brother and bowed. He said, "I offended you just now, senior brother. Please forgive me."

Xiao Xuan was magnanimous and saw that he was very humble and had no airs of an official, so he felt a good impression of him. He blinked and said, "What kind of talisman did you use just now? It managed to kill more than twenty skeletons at once."

Fang Shaolin said, "It was an ambush talisman. I did take advantage of the situation just now."

Xiao Xuan stretched out his hand: "Alright, quickly give me a few as a tribute, and I won't blame you."

Cui Caiting scolded, "What nonsense are you talking about!" She dismissed Xiao Xuan and turned to ask Fang Xiao... Lord Marquis: "What exactly is going on in this area?"

Fang Shaolin replied: "Since August or September of last year, strange things have been happening frequently in the Great Swamp. First, merchants who had been passing by mysteriously disappeared, and then it escalated to the point that surrounding villages were attacked one after another, causing chaos and unrest. So, I sent people into the swamp to investigate, only to find that it was plagued by filth. We then mobilized troops to the swamp to encircle and exterminate it. Fearing that some might have escaped, we also issued a proclamation offering a reward, recruiting masters from all over the country to hunt them down. Now, it has been very effective, and the number of skeletons in the Great Swamp has decreased significantly." "I estimate it won't be long before we can clean up all this filth."

Fei Luo said, "I see. But you're a bit too bold. As the magistrate of the Great Swamp, you only brought a few dozen soldiers to venture this deep into the swamp."

Fang Shaolin laughed, "Uncle, don't worry. There are still five hundred men stationed at Old Vine Slope, eighty miles away. Besides, my sixty Tiger Head Swordsmen are all elites, handpicked from the best. I personally trained them. Even if two or three hundred more skeletons came, they wouldn't be a match for them."

"But you shouldn't come in alone. What if something goes wrong..." Li Mengtang said with concern. For some reason, she felt uneasy after entering the Great Swamp.

"Thank you for your concern, Senior Sister," Fang Shaolin said. "I recently heard that Blood Skulls have appeared in this area. I thought they would be excellent materials for refining talismans, and it would be a pity if someone else took them for free. Hehe, so I couldn't resist coming in myself."

Shui Ruoxin thought to herself, "This person is probably like Xiao Xuan, an incurable collector..."

"Have you found any Blood Skulls yet?" Xiao Xuan asked hurriedly, as the bones of Blood Skulls also made his mouth water.

"No," Fang Shaolin said dejectedly, "I've been searching for three days without even seeing a shadow of one. But then I found this small lake, and the island in the middle of the lake looked quite strange. Just as I was about to go up and take a look, this group of skeletons came running. Although there are many of them, unfortunately, there isn't a single Blood Skull among them."

Cui Caiting said, "This island is indeed a bit strange. Let's go up and take a look. Shaolin, the suspension bridge is rotten and might break at any time. Your men shouldn't go up."

Fang Shaolin then ordered the swordsmen to rest on the spot and bandage and treat the wounded.

Cui Caiting led the group in a coordinated land-based leaping technique, carefully skimming across the swaying, dilapidated suspension bridge and ascending to the high platform on the island.

Xiao Xuan looked around, "It seems like there's no one here."

The platform was silent, except for a three-story building, pavilions, a well, and other structures. Everywhere were ruins, the ground paved with pale green stone slabs, the cracks filled with clumps of lush green weeds. Ancient banyan trees, verdant and verdant, grew around the edge of the platform, a cool breeze blowing, creating an atmosphere of ancient grandeur.

"It's beautiful, but also strange," Xiao Wan said.

Upon reaching the island, the unease that had been lingering in Li Mengtang's heart vanished without a trace, leaving her secretly surprised.

Fei Luo carefully observed her surroundings, a slight look of astonishment appearing on her jade-like face.

The group arrived at the building and saw a half-broken plaque hanging crookedly above the main gate, only the last character "台" (platform) visible. Climbing the steps, passing through the front courtyard, and entering another gate, they were greeted by a magnificent and imposing palace.

The main hall was empty, with tall, fragmented statues standing evenly spaced around it. Some reached waist-high, some had only legs, and some only had half a bare foot remaining. The center was even more spacious, except for a blue-green stone platform, its surface mottled and uneven, as if something had once existed there but had been completely removed.

What was even stranger was that, although everything was dilapidated and incomplete, it was spotless, without a single cobweb, and it instilled a strange sense of awe in people.

"How strange, why do I feel... feel very..." Xiao Wan hesitated.

"Very comfortable, isn't it?" Fang Shaolin continued.

Xiao Xuanli said, "Yes, yes, yes, what's going on?"

Li Mengtang looked at Fei Luo, frowning, and said, "It seems like..."

Fei Luo slowly walked to the center of the giant hall, looked down at the ground, and suddenly said, "There is a remnant of an array here. Although it has been destroyed eight or nine-tenths, it is still working." "

What kind of working?" Xue Han asked.

"The reason everyone feels comfortable is because this incomplete formation is gathering essence from an unknown source and transmitting it to where I'm standing." Fei Luo lifted her skirt and leaped onto the green platform in the center of the hall.

Xiao Xuan ran over and jumped onto the platform as well, immediately feeling refreshed and cleansed. He exclaimed, "Wow, it really is! Standing here is even more comfortable!" Suddenly, he noticed that the ground around the platform was engraved with many smooth lines, arranged in a pleasing and mysterious way, forming a series of profound and eerie images. He was suddenly puzzled.

Cui Caiting asked, "What kind of formation is it?"

Fei Luo shook her head and said, "I don't know. This formation is neither Tai Chi nor the Four Symbols, nor the Eight Trigrams or the Nine Palaces, nor is it related to the heavens or constellations."

Everyone was secretly surprised. She was a top-tier formation master in the mortal realm, yet she couldn't recognize it. This showed how rare and extraordinary this formation was.

Fei Luo continued, "I recognize those few remaining fragments of the array outside the building. They are all supreme arrays for subduing evil and demons, but I didn't expect them to still be breached and the main array destroyed."

Fang Shaolin asked curiously, "Are there any arrays outside? I didn't see any."

Xiao Wan, who was standing next to him, smiled and said, "Some arrays are good at concealing themselves, even hiding among the grass and trees. If you haven't learned them, it's naturally difficult to find them."

The two stood very close. Shaolin turned to look at her, his starry eyes brightening. He bowed exaggeratedly and said respectfully, "Thank you for your guidance, Senior Sister. I will have to learn from you many more times in the future."

Xiao Wan was taken aback, her pretty face slightly flushed. Yun said, "No need to be so polite. Feel free to ask me anything, but there are many things I don't understand either."

Li Mengtang suddenly said, "I heard the Commander say that after Fenxu defeated the Skeleton Ancestor, he went to the Great Swamp before returning to Juku Continent. He was very worried about the 400,000 lingering vengeful spirits. It is said that he set up a great restriction in this area. Could it be this array?"

Feiluo pondered and said, "I have also heard this legend, but no one can confirm it... However, it is said that Fenxu Sanren's cultivation is unique, neither Zen, nor Chan, nor Dao, nor Xuan. This array is so mysterious, it does fit the description somewhat."

Cui Caiting frowned and said, "If this is indeed the restriction set up by Fenxu, its power must be extraordinary. Now that it has been destroyed, the person who broke it must have had malicious intentions, and must also be..."

Fei Luo continued, "And must have had astonishing cultivation. Someone suddenly set up an evil array in the Great Swamp, causing demonic filth to spread. This might really be related to the destruction of this place. We must not be careless." "

But the several groups of people I sent out have all made rapid progress, and so far I haven't found any powerful demons," Fang Shaolin said.

Xue Han said, "Didn't they say blood skeletons have appeared recently?"

Fang Shaolin said, "That's right, but there can't be many. Only one demon-hunting team has ever captured a few. By the way, it's said they were encountered at an ancient military camp near Qianqiu. It's not far from here, shall we go and take a look?"

Cui Caiting nodded and said, "Yes, blood skeletons must be refined by demonic magic to be generated. Let's start by investigating them. If we still can't find them, we'll have to follow those blood pools one by one to find the main pool of the evil array."

"What blood pool?" Fang Shaolin kept pestering Xiao Wan as they walked...

The group searched the second and third floors again, but found nothing else, so they went downstairs. Xiao Xuan was still in a daze, not even understanding what he was confused about.

"Xiao Xuan, what's wrong with you?" Li Mengtang asked softly beside him.

Xiao Xuan mumbled incoherently, "I feel like I've seen that pattern somewhere before..."

"What?" Li Mengtang was puzzled.

Xiao Xuan mumbled incoherently, unable to articulate anything clearly.

Leaving the island, Li Mengtang felt a sudden pang in her chest, her mind uneasy once more. She glanced around; apart from Xiao Xuan, everyone else seemed fine. Thinking it over, she suddenly remembered that she had always felt this startled and terrified whenever she was about to encounter a powerful demon, though never with such intensity.

"The ancient military camp is just ahead," Fang Shaolin pointed to a gray bulge on the horizon.

Cui Caiting and her group used their land-based flight technique to speed away, leaving the fifty-odd tiger-headed swordsmen far behind.

"Hey, I have to say your troops are pathetic. Dozens of men and not even a horse," Xiao Xuan said, dizzy and trying to shake off his worries by talking to someone.

Fang Shaolin said, "No way...we're here to fight skeletons. If a horse sees this filth, it'll throw us off."

Xiao Xuan said, "That just shows your skills are still shallow. Do you know there's a very basic, easiest-to-make talisman called 'Guardian Spirit'? Anyone, human or animal, can be protected from ghosts and spirits just by sticking it on their body."

Fang Shaolin said, "I've heard of it. Do you know how to make it?"

Xiao Xuan glared at him and said, "I didn't study this. Don't tell me you really don't know how."

Fang Shaolin told the truth, "I don't know how."

"Heavens! Uncle Zhaixing is a famous talisman refiner. You're not being too...you know what, are you?" Xiao Xuan said mischievously.

Fang Shaolin was a little embarrassed: "He really thought I was slow-witted, and only taught me for a little over a year before abandoning me."

Xiao Xuan looked at him strangely and sighed, "You really can't judge a book by its cover! I misjudged you!"

The young marquis was furious and about to explode when he suddenly heard someone chuckle beside him. Xiao Wan said, "Then how come you have such a powerful ambush talisman?"

Fang Shaolin immediately calmed down and said happily, "That was left to me by my master. Besides the ambush talisman, there are many other fun and magical talismans. I'll show them to you sometime, if you want?"

Xiao Wan smiled and said, "Okay, don't forget."

As they approached, a huge military camp built of earth and wood gradually became clear. The walls of the camp were still high, but the earth and wood were bare, and there were no flags.

"Huh! Why are there so many people?" Xiao Wan said.

The ancient military camp was teeming with people, in groups of three or five.

Fang Shaolin gazed intently into the distance and chuckled, "They're all those self-organized demon-hunting teams. They must have heard about the Blood Skull here and rushed over."

Cui Caiting and her group slowed their pace and headed towards the camp. Before they even reached the gate, someone recognized Fang Shaolin and hurriedly went to greet him and bow. The news spread quickly, and soon all sorts of people from inside and outside the camp gathered around, numbering as many as two or three hundred. Among them were monks, Taoists, and laypeople; some were fierce and ruthless, some were shrewd and experienced, and some were unfathomable. Judging from their demeanor, they were all extraordinary individuals from all over the land.

"Is it really Young Master Fang? Tsk tsk tsk! Truly dashing!" someone flattered.

"How could it be fake? Such a dashing figure, besides our Young Master Fang, who else in the world could it be!" someone echoed loudly.

"Oh dear! This area is quite dangerous. Why did you come in personally, Young Master?" someone asked obsequiously.

Fang Shaolin smiled and said loudly, "It is precisely because this place is not peaceful that I have come here to see what kind of evil dares to wreak havoc on the world under the clear sky!"

"Young Marquis, disregarding your own safety and enduring hardships, this is what it means to be wholeheartedly for the people!"

"A young hero, his reputation is well-deserved!"

"No wonder the martial arts world says, 'A son should be like Sun Quan, today we look to Young Marquis Fang!'" Immediately, praises and flattery rose from the crowd.

Fang Shaolin pressed his palm down to suppress the noise, and said in a measured tone, "You have all come from afar to rid the people of evil, haven't you? As the magistrate of the Great Swamp, how could I dare to seek comfort!" He paused for a moment, then continued, "Everyone has worked hard. How was the harvest this time?"

"Thanks to the Young Marquis's might, our Iron Blood Alliance has only been in the Great Swamp for one day, and we have already killed more than two hundred skeletons!" someone shouted excitedly.

"Hehe, our Celestial Masters Sect has already surpassed three hundred." Someone retorted, not to be outdone.

"No way, now there are too many monks and not enough porridge, and it's extremely difficult to find demons. We haven't seen a single one in dozens of miles." Someone else expressed great dissatisfaction

. "The fewer demons there are, doesn't that mean we've succeeded in exorcising evil? I think it won't be long before this place is completely peaceful. This is all

thanks to our young Marquis Fang's summons." Someone never forgot to sing praises. "This kid is quite imposing..." Xiao Xuan looked at Fang Shaolin, who stood proudly with his hands behind his back, and asked Li Mengtang beside him, "Second Senior Sister, what kind of petty official is the Daze Ling? Why are these people trembling with fear?"

Mengtang smiled and said, "The Daze Ling is just a petty official who holds military and political power over the five cities and nineteen towns of the Daze Plain. It is said that the Tiger Head Army, which is famous throughout the country, has a branch stationed here and is also under his command. It's just sixteen thousand heavily armed swordsmen."

Xiao Xuan was dumbfounded.

In the first episode, "Leaving the Mountain (Chapter Ten)," Fang
Shaolin suppressed the flood of flattery once again and loudly asked, "Heroes, has anyone managed to kill a Blood... Crimson Bone Skeleton?"

The surroundings immediately fell silent. The heroes exchanged bewildered glances, and after a long while, someone cursed, "Damn it! Someone must be playing a trick on us, spreading rumors. There aren't even many of those broken skeletons here, let alone Crimson Bone Skeletons!"

Many others joined in the cursing, clearly indicating that no one had managed to kill a Blood Skeleton.

"Yeah, we were the first to arrive, and we only managed to kill twenty or thirty broken skeletons

!" "We haven't found a single one! We shouldn't have come; we've traveled over a hundred miles for nothing! Damn it!"

"If I find out who spread this false information, I'll squeeze their balls to mush!"

The women all frowned, but Xiao Xuan was intrigued, listening with great interest.

Disappointed, Fang Shaolin could only say, "The news might not be false. Maybe those red-boned skeletons will run away in a panic when they hear that we're coming. We must not let our guard down. We'll continue our search in a different place tomorrow!" He added a few more words of reassurance and then dismissed the group.

He walked up to Cui Caiting and her group, shrugging, "We've come all this way for nothing. There are no Blood Skulls here."

Fei Luo said, "The only solution now is to find the main pool based on the layout of those blood pools."

Cui Caiting nodded, gazing at the sunset, and said, "It's getting late. Let's find a quiet place to rest for now and make plans tomorrow."

At this moment, the fifty-odd swordsmen had arrived, and Fang Shaolin ordered them to set up camp near the ancient military camp.

Cui Caiting and Fei Luo led the disciples to a secluded spot on a hillside to rest, and started a fire to cook.

"Second Senior Sister, Xiao Xuan seemed a bit absent-minded after we came out of that island," Shui Ruo asked quietly, sitting by the fire next to Li Mengtang.

Mengtang pondered, "I also found it strange..." She looked around; the surroundings were already pitch black, except for the flickering fires inside and outside the ancient military camp—the campfires lit by the heroes who had spent the night. Suddenly, the inexplicable unease in her heart seemed to intensify.

"You...you didn't ask him what happened?" Shui Ruo poked the fire with a twig, cautiously continuing to ask.

Li Mengtang said, "I did ask, but he was dazed and seemed to be talking in his sleep. Hmm, I'll ask him again later." Suddenly, as if remembering something, she turned her head and said, "Why don't you ask him yourself?"

Shui Ruo was slightly taken aback, and hurriedly said, "I will ask later, but he's always like that, always acting crazy, so it's better not to ask."

Mengtang stared at her and said, "You two are always arguing at home, why haven't you said a single word to him today?" Xiao

Wan, who was standing nearby, heard this and chimed in with a grin, "Yeah, it's a bit strange. I haven't heard Third Senior Sister call him 'pig head' all day."

Shui Ruo said in a panic, "Yes, yes...yes, he did talk, but he's probably been running around all day, so he's been quieter."

"Is the soup ready?" Xiao Xuan came out of the darkness carrying a large pile of dry firewood, scattering it on the ground with a "clatter," and clapped his hands, saying, "I found so much again, it should be enough to burn all night."

"It'll be ready soon, sit down and rest." Zhaixia said, stirring the boiling soup in the pot with a wooden spoon, the aroma filling the air.

"It smells so good! What's in there?" Xiaoxuan sat down casually, squeezing between Shui Ruo and Xiao Wan.

"There's wood ear mushrooms, straw mushrooms, bamboo shoots, and your favorite tofu skin," Zhaixia said with a smile. These delicacies were specially brought from the mountain.

"Wonderful! I'm starving!" Xiaoxuan swallowed hard. Xiao Wan scolded

, "There's so much space over there, why are you squeezing in here?"

"It's windy at night, it's warmer to be squeezed together," Xiaoxuan said with a grin, glancing at Shui Ruo.

Shui Ruo suddenly stood up, coldly saying, "I'm very hot." She lifted her skirt and sat down opposite her.

Xiaoxuan felt a little bored and waited silently for the meal to start.

"When did you make Third Senior Sister angry?" Xiao Wan asked quietly.

Suddenly, a torch flickered, and Fang Shaolin arrived with two soldiers. He bowed to Cui Caiting and said with a smile, "These are some dishes and wine brought from town. Please make do with them, Uncle-Master, Uncle-Master, and all the senior brothers and sisters."

The two soldiers brought out a large plate and placed it in the middle of the group. It contained stuffed beef, braised pork hock, and a small jar of wine.

"Wow!" Xiao Xuan exclaimed, delighted. "You're so sensible!" He grabbed a braised pork hock and began to eat heartily.

"Ew... the soup smells so good!" Fang Shaolin looked at the bubbling soup in the pot and froze on the spot.

Fei Luo smiled and said, "Why don't you eat here?"

Fang Shaolin quickly agreed, ordered the two soldiers to go back, and quickly looked around before sitting down on the other side where Xia Xiaowan was sitting. He looked up and met Xiao Xuan's fierce gaze. He blinked nonchalantly and flashed a bright smile.

Xia Xiaowan, in the middle, hugged her knees and huddled up. Her pretty face suddenly seemed to flush, making her even more charming in the red firelight.

The soup was finally ready, and Zhaixia picked up a bowl and spoon to serve it to everyone.

Xiaowan took out a large bag of steamed buns she had bought at noon from her pouch, untied it, and placed it in the middle for everyone to help themselves.

Fang Shaolin diligently served soup to Zhaixia, subtly ladling a bowl for Xiaowan.

Xiaoxuan noticed and remembered that Shuiruo liked straw mushrooms, so when no one was looking, he quickly grabbed a handful for her.

Unexpectedly, Shuiruo angrily retorted, "Can't I take some myself?!" and gave all the straw mushrooms in her bowl to Zhaixia next to her.

Zhaixia drank the soup and ate the steamed buns, her dark eyes darting back and forth between the two of them.

The others all wore ambiguous smiles.

Xiaoxuan was very embarrassed, so he could only stand up and serve food to each of the ladies, forcing a dry laugh, "Eat more, eat more, everyone eat more." It was as if he were the one treating them.

When they reached Fang Shaolin, the two stared at each other expressionlessly for a few seconds before tactfully turning away.

Finally, Xiao Xuan endured the awkward dinner. Using the excuse of needing to urinate, he slipped into the darkness and let out a long sigh.

He relieved himself against a tree root for a while, then pulled up his pants. Suddenly, he thought of Shui Ruo and the absurdity of last night, feeling a mix of sweetness and ecstasy. He couldn't help but sigh again.

Suddenly, he heard a soft laugh behind him. Someone said, "Sighing at such a young age, aren't you afraid of aging prematurely?"

Xiao Xuan turned around and vaguely saw Fei Luo. He quickly tied his pants up and exclaimed, "Thirty-Third Uncle, what are you doing here?"

"I came to find you." Fei Luo stood gracefully in the dappled shadows, her snow-white skin glowing like a blush, her smile enchanting, like a beautiful fox fairy from legend.

"Find me? What do you want?"

"I need your help."

"You need my help? Uncle, are you joking? What do you need my help with?" Xiao Xuan was quite surprised.

Fei Luo said, "Go beat up a guy for me."

"Beat up who?" Xiao Xuan was even more confused. "Who's so powerful that even you, Uncle, can't handle him?"

"It's not that the guy is powerful, but I'm afraid of getting my hands dirty." Fei Luo narrowed her beautiful eyes slightly. "Do you remember that bearded guy we met at the tavern at noon? I saw him in the crowd just now. He's probably spending the night at the ancient military camp."

Xiao Xuan smiled. "I see. That's good..." He was about to agree when a thought suddenly struck him, and he changed his mind. "That guy looks so pathetic. Even if Uncle hadn't asked me, I would still beat him up. But..."

"But what?"

Xiao Xuan looked troubled. "But before I went down the mountain, I promised Master that I wouldn't cause any trouble on the way. If she finds out..." Fei

Luo said, "We'll go quietly. How would your master know? Even if she does find out, I'll protect you."

Xiao Xuan looked distressed, as if he was in a great predicament.

Fei Luo glared at him and asked, "Are you going to help or not?"

Xiao Xuan's eyes darted around, as if he had made up his mind: "For you, my master, I'll risk everything, but..."

"There's a 'but'?" Fei Luo's expression softened a little.

Xiao Xuan stammered, even feeling embarrassed himself.

Fei Luo looked at him, the corners of her mouth slowly curving upwards, beautiful and sweet like a diamond. Suddenly, she took a step forward, her pink cheeks almost touching the boy's face, tilting her head and whispering affectionately, "Little guy, but what?"

A sweet fragrance, like orchids and musk, wafted into Xiao Xuan's nose, and he suddenly saw a pair of large, melon-like breasts resting on his chest, the protruding tips almost touching his clothes. His mouth went dry instantly.

"What do you want?" Fei Luo stared at him, her watery eyes seeming to ripple with something.

Xiao Xuan mustered his courage, chuckled, and finally laid out his conditions: "I only hope that Martial Uncle will be generous enough to teach me a few mobile magic techniques or armor-controlling techniques in your spare time..."

Fei Luo was stunned for a moment, then stepped back, seemingly annoyed, and said, "Little brat, how dare you make demands of me!"

Xiao Xuan smiled and said, "Not at all, not at all. This disciple has long admired Martial Uncle's supernatural abilities and is eager to learn."

"Teaching you a few moves is not a problem, but unfortunately, I hate being threatened the most," Fei Luo said coldly.

Xiao Xuan hurriedly said, "How dare this disciple threaten Martial Uncle? I'm just asking you for a favor."

Fei Luo nodded, the corners of her beautiful mouth suddenly curving into a half-smile, and said, "Oh dear, I suddenly remembered something."

"What is it?" Xiao Xuan asked with a smile.

"I suddenly remembered that I couldn't sleep last night, so I took a walk on Xiaoyao Peak, and unknowingly came to a house..."

"What house?" Xiao Xuan's heart skipped a beat, and he stared at her warily.

"There's nothing much to say about that house, but... I heard some strange noises inside, and out of curiosity, I quietly went closer to peek. Hehe, guess what I saw?" Fei Luo laughed sweetly and charmingly, her allure completely gone, showing no trace of her elderly demeanor.

Xiao Xuan's face turned pale, his voice trembling slightly: "What... what did I see?"

"I saw something interesting! It turned out to be two little kids playing house. A little lecherous thief tied up a pretty girl, and then... he started to strip her clothes off..."

"Stop talking! I surrender!" Xiao Xuan completely broke down, hurriedly interrupting, "I'll go avenge you, Uncle-Master, and teach that bearded man a lesson!"

"Come with me." Fei Luo giggled and darted towards the ancient military camp.

Xiao Xuan followed pitifully, his face contorted with grief, "Good Uncle-Master, you absolutely mustn't tell my master..."

"That depends on whether someone's obedient from now on." Fei Luo said smugly.

Sweat beaded on Xiao Xuan's forehead as he repeatedly promised, "I'll definitely listen, I'll definitely listen... You can't tell anyone else!"

Suddenly, a faint, eerie blue flame rose silently from the horizon, streaking across the night sky and shooting into the ancient military camp.

The two saw it almost simultaneously. Fei Luo let out a soft exclamation and stopped in her tracks.

Just as Xiao Xuan was about to ask, dozens more blue flames shot up, following the trajectory of the first flame, and entered the ancient military camp, weaving

a strange and vibrant tapestry in the sparsely starlit night sky. In an instant, screams and cries of terror erupted from the ancient military camp, sounding particularly chilling in the silent night.

"Hellfire!" Fei Luo's expression changed slightly.

Hellfire was an extremely evil, ghostly fire, imbued with an inextinguishable, blood-boiling power. Xiao Xuan was startled.

A long, eerie roar echoed through the air, shaking the earth slightly, sending chills down one's spine.

Roars and shouts of alarm echoed through the ancient military camp. Many areas burst into flames, the brilliant inferno illuminating the night sky in a deep blue-green hue. People brandished weapons as they rushed out of the camp, while those who had spent the night outside surged in, creating immediate chaos.

"An attack!" Fei Luo cried out, leaping forward.

Xiao Xuan quickly followed, suddenly feeling the ground tremble violently. A thunderous roar of galloping hooves echoed from the side of the camp. He was greatly surprised: "This area is teeming with filth; who could ride here on horseback?"

The fifty-odd tiger-headed swordsmen stationed outside the camp stood at attention, forming a defensive formation, shields and axes in hand, calmly observing the situation.

The sound of hooves grew louder and louder, making eardrums ache. Suddenly, a neat, eerie cavalry column appeared from the darkness, numbering over a hundred. Both rider and horse were clad in gleaming black helmets and armor, shields in hand and spears in hand. With a chilling clang of metal clashing, they charged to the gates of the camp in an instant. In the glow of the eerie flames, everyone was horrified to discover that what had rushed towards them was a troop of blood-red skeletons riding skeletal horses.

The heroes were terrified and thrown into chaos. Some, before they could even react, were flung high into the air, spraying blood in a gruesome display.

The skeleton cavalry surged forward like a tidal wave, their horses trampling and spears piercing, slaughtering indiscriminately.

"My god! What level of demons are these?" Xiao Xuan stared in disbelief, desperately running forward, his Fire Separation Technique rapidly surging within him.

Fei Luo did not answer, her jade-like face shrouded in a murderous aura as she sped forward.

The assembled heroes were mostly powerful and capable individuals from the Three Mountains and Five Peaks, including many skilled demon hunters. Yet, they were all utterly defeated, with large numbers falling in the blink of an eye. Some scattered and fled, but none escaped being struck by the azure flames that swept from the darkness, rolling on the ground howling in agony, a truly gruesome sight.

Faced with this scene, a commotion arose among the tiger-headed shield bearers, clearly wavering. At this moment, a troop of skeleton cavalry began to charge towards them. An

officer among the shield bearers roared sternly, ordering his men to prepare for battle. These shield bearers, being the elite of the best, quickly regrouped under their commander's command, regrouping their formation and forming a powerful defensive fortress with dozens of tiger-headed round shields.

Suddenly, the troop of skeleton cavalry split apart, and a chariot, pulled by three tall, armored skeleton horses, charged out like lightning, crashing into the shield formation.

The swordsmen were struck as if by a boulder; several in the front ranks collapsed limply, their bodies shattered and lifeless before they could even groan, leaving a gaping hole in the shield formation.

A dozen or so swordsmen fought back desperately, swinging their axes wildly, but their blows seemed to strike steel, unable to damage the skeleton chariot in the slightest.

An officer roared for others to fill in, then charged forward himself, a spray of blood erupting as he was severed in two at the chest.

Atop the chariot stood a tall skeleton clad in crimson armor, grinning maliciously as it swung its multicolored longsword, cleaving through several round shields and decapitating three swordsmen.

Blood rained down, still warm on their skin; the remaining swordsmen were terrified and instantly routed.

Two groups of skeleton cavalry surged in like a whirlwind through the gap, rampaging and slaughtering, dividing the swordsmen into several groups, each to be surrounded and annihilated.

The skeletal general grinned savagely, urging his chariot onward, crushing everything in its path. A long, emerald-green blade, over a foot long, was drawn across the axles of each massive wheel on either side of the chariot

. With each high-speed descent, the chariot sliced through limbs, sending blood and flesh flying everywhere. The ancient military camp, silent for over a thousand years, suddenly transformed back into a carnage.

At that moment, Fei Luo arrived first, flicking her sleeve to deflect a charging skeletal horse, throwing its rider far away. She didn't pursue, but closed her eyes and silently chanted. Suddenly, wisps of white mist appeared before her, coalescing into a large, hazy cloud that almost completely obscured her graceful figure.

Xiao Xuan, arriving shortly after, roared and leaped into the ranks of the skeleton cavalry. His eight-clawed flaming dragon whip whirled from his sleeve, striking the red-armored general on the skeleton chariot like a fiery dragon…

In the blink of an eye, Fei Luo's spell was complete. With a delicate shout, she opened her beautiful eyes, and a burly giant lazily rose from the cloud of energy. He was a Kunlun slave, seemingly sculpted from crystal, over ten feet tall, his entire body a deep blue, his bulging muscles bulging and knotted, as if boundless power was about to be unleashed.
