【The Vanished Demon King】(1-2)

    page views:1  Publication date:2023-03-23
Volume 1: Small Town, Small Affairs
Foreword: Because I'm not particularly interested in orthodox Western fantasy, and to support the setting, this story
is roughly set in a highly advanced alternate world (?), and depending on the author's taste, a lot of the most advanced
of the advanced technologies will be added... I'll just blame it all on magic. However, adding H scenes into the plot is really difficult... *cries*
Question: How can I add a lot of H scenes into a serious plot?!
Chapter 1: The Young City Lord
"Knock knock knock—"
He woke up groggily, the familiar white ceiling above his head. The regular knocking sound reached his ears,
making him more awake. He frowned, threw off the covers, sat up, and sighed softly.
After more than ten years of peace, had his vigilance really decreased significantly?
"Come in." He rubbed his slightly messy black short hair and spoke calmly.
Click—the doorknob turned gently, the door was pushed open with a gentle force, and then, a familiar
icy blue jumped into his eyes.
He glanced at the windowsill to his left; the beaded curtain was half-drawn, letting in a faint glimmer of morning light. It
was probably early morning, but still a little early for school.
"It's Dongxue. What brings you here so early?" he asked curiously.
Entering was Dongxue, one of his two personal guards. "Ice Blue" naturally referred to her unchanging attire
and flowing ice-blue hair, but it also matched her aloof temperament, perhaps
due to her innate talent for ice. Normally, the other guard would call him, but lately she was busy.
"Young Master, please change your clothes. The City Lord is waiting for you in the inner courtyard." Dongxue stood before his
bed, holding folded clothes, her voice clear and calm, yet melodious like a spring.
"I know," he replied casually, standing up and extending his hand.
Dongxue then placed the clothes directly in his hands and turned to leave.
He paused, then shook his head self-deprecatingly, forgetting that this person wouldn't help him dress; he was probably
spoiled. However, it seemed he'd have to go to the inner courtyard before school today, hoping he wouldn't be late, though
he didn't really care.
The City Lord's Mansion, inner courtyard.
Almost everyone in Rain City knew the City Lord loved flowers, but few had actually seen the flowerbeds within the City Lord's Mansion
. He knew, and these myriad flowers were all around him, swaying in the breeze,
bathed in the morning sun's gentle glow.
Following the cobblestone path, past a corner, he saw several arched flowerbeds in the distance.
In the center of the flowerbeds stood a wooden pavilion, inside which sat a jade-white round table with a pot of
tea and several celadon teacups, the aroma of tea wafting through the air. Beside the table were three wooden armchairs, two of which had a
person sitting idly, holding a teacup and sipping lightly from time to time.
He stopped, wanting to turn and leave. This contradicted what Dongxue had said, and this wasn't just one
person, but a nuisance.
However, before he could turn around, the nuisance beckoned to him, seemingly waiting for his arrival.
He rubbed his temples and walked towards the round table, secretly pondering a way to escape
. But even when he reached the table, he had no solution. He really couldn't handle these two together.
Sitting on the left was the city lord, who seemed to have some important business to attend to today. She was dressed in a black women's formal suit,
her black hair cascading down her back. Her normally unadorned face was now lightly made up, making her even more radiant and beautiful . Her
eyes, like black pearls, were fixed on him, and a faint, gentle smile played at the corners of her lips. The nuisance on the right was also a beautiful woman,
dressed in a fiery red outfit with a black silk scarf around her neck. Her seaweed-like golden hair fell to her chest. She tilted her head,
her blood-red eyes half-closed, staring at him the entire time.
Being watched by two beauties at the same time was quite stressful. Helpless, he calmed his turbulent emotions and
first greeted the woman on his left softly, "Good morning, Mother."
As for the other, he hesitated, not wanting to be too impolite, so he turned his head slightly and said, "Morning."
"Ren'er, sit down and have some morning tea." Even as the lord of a city, the city lord showed
no authority in front of the child, instead gently pouring him a cup of tea and handing it to him.
He sat down politely, but before he could even drink the tea, trouble struck first.
"This little rascal isn't like this at school, Qi Yufei. You need to keep a closer eye on him, and maybe spank him a few times
."
"And, Ren Ping, you're finished! Your secret has been exposed!"
Ren Ping's eyes were calm, awaiting what followed.
Seeing his lack of reaction, Big Trouble curled her lip and continued, "Do you often skip classes at school?
Someone tattled on you!"
Ren Ping raised an eyebrow, thinking to himself, even she knows about this? It seems he's been skipping classes too much lately.
Hmm, that matter needs to be put on hold.
Faced with Big Trouble's barrage of accusations, he calmly said, "Your scarf looks really nice today."
"Should I give it to you?" She made a move to untie it.
Ren Ping's eyes flickered, then he smiled and said, "If you dare to give it to me, I dare to take it."
"You..."
"Alright, alright, you two... Monica, you're an elder, don't argue with a child." Qi Yufei smiled
and smoothed things over.
"Are you even my best friend? Always siding with that little brat, you don't know... Humph!" Monica
wanted to say something, but in the end, she just snorted and gave up.
Qi Yufei ignored her suddenly childish best friend and gently asked Ren Ping, "
How's school life lately?"
Ren Ping thought for a moment and carefully chose his words, "Nothing's wrong."
"Okay, then you should go to school first. I called you here today mainly because of Monica. Also... well, never mind,
go ahead. I have a meeting to attend later, and I'll be staying here with Monica for a while."
Ren Ping stood up, said goodbye to his mother, and without even glancing at the troublesome woman, turned and left.
He could hear Monica's low complaints and his mother's gentle comforting voices in the distance, along with some
whispers between women. He looked up at the azure sky, watching the ever-changing clouds. Was this the life he had always wanted?
He wasn't sure, but this kind of life was quite interesting. As for that
phantom that seemed to exist only in a distant memory, she was fine, and that child was probably fine too. Thinking of this, he smiled. At this time
, they were probably the same age.
After a simple breakfast, Ren Ping, accompanied by Dong Xue, drove to the Third Magic Academy where he studied.
Dong Xue was naturally the driver. Incidentally, his two bodyguards were also graduates of this academy, making them his seniors.
The academy's security was quite comprehensive, so Dong Xue didn't need to accompany him to school. As soon as they entered the school,
Dong Xue greeted him and left immediately. They actually had very little private time, and most of it was spent
on cultivation. After all, as personal bodyguards, their combat strength had to meet certain standards.
Ren Ping strolled leisurely through the academy. It was almost time for class, and the students were all rushing around
. But after a while, Ren Ping saw a unique golden figure—Rune, his classmate
, walking quickly towards him against the flow of people.
Approaching him, Lu En shouted, "Hey, Ren Ping, wanna skip class and go online?
2v2 multiplayer in the Fierce Battle World?"
His shout attracted attention, and several students recognized the campus celebrity, whispering amongst themselves
. In this academy, only a few knew Ren Ping's true identity; most students considered him
an ordinary classmate. Of course, to his classmates, he was a legendary figure, as he
frequently skipped class, often for the entire day.
As for Lu En, he was far more famous. The only son of the president of the Blue Moon Merchant Guild, one of the two major merchant guilds in Rain City, he was of mediocre talent
but deeply favored. So much so that due to his various misdeeds at school, the Blue Moon Merchant Guild even donated 300,000
gold coins to the academy—one gold coin roughly enough for a poor family of three's daily expenses.
Lu En paid no attention to the surrounding whispers, only looking at Ren Ping with expectant eyes.
Ren Ping considered today's classes: Fundamentals of Magic, Basic Structure of Magic Arrays, Elementary Rules of Magic Operation,
History, and Cultivation. There seemed to be nothing that interested him, so he changed direction and headed east of the academy.
His decision to skip class again wasn't because he wanted to play games on the StarNet with Rune. Those games on the StarNet
were quite interesting, and he occasionally played them, but now he just wanted to go to the academy library to find
books on magical device construction. One of his greatest interests over the years had been building magical devices. In the
Demon King's memories, there were many blueprints in this area, but the directions involved weren't suitable for public disclosure
. Therefore, he had a small private workshop at home and another at the academy. His mother knew, but
never interfered or inquired.
He was ultimately influenced by the Demon King's memories, but for him, who was free of burdens, the definer of good and evil
was no longer the rules of the world, but himself.
The library was to the east of the academy, and the computer lab was nearby, so Lu En walked side by side with Ren Ping,
constantly grumbling about how he would get revenge for his humiliation the previous night.
But halfway there, Lu En paused, tugging at Ren Ping nervously, "Um…
Ren Ping, I think we should come out next class? I just saw the class monitor up ahead."
Ren Ping glanced around casually, then continued walking east.
Lu En, still gripping Ren Ping's shoulder, followed closely, whispering, "Hey, are we really going to go?"
As he spoke, Lu En suddenly trembled, his shoulders buckled, and his head tilted to the side, almost wanting to hide
behind Ren Ping. The purple-haired girl ahead had stopped and was staring at them indifferently.
Only after they brushed past the girl did Lu En breathe a sigh of relief and laugh, "You're amazing, you completely
ignored that violent girl. I'm no match for her, I can't beat her in a fight, and last time I asked for help I got a scolding from my dad
..."
He finished speaking and secretly glanced back, then quickly turned back, nervously saying, "She's still watching us
... Should we go back?"
Ren Ping pointed to the library not far to the right and calmly said, "I'll go to the library, you decide what to do."
"Uh..." Lu En was clearly stunned, on the verge of tears, "Are you going to abandon your friend?"
"See you later." Ren Ping waved calmly with his back to him, then turned towards the library.
"What a betrayal!"
Lu En shouted inwardly, then secretly glanced back, gritted his teeth, and with a hint of trepidation,
quickly ran towards the computer lab on the other side. Games first, studies second.
Ai Lu'er withdrew her gaze. She didn't know what Ren Ping was up to, but as
one of the people who knew his identity, she had once held high hopes for this young city lord. After all, the city lord was so elegant and powerful,
and Ren Ping, as the young city lord, must also possess great talent in some area.
But the higher the expectations, the greater the disappointment.
Ren Ping's grades were only average in the class, he often daydreamed during cultivation classes, and later frequently skipped classes,
practically disappearing from sight. She had tried to dissuade him several times, but each time he casually brushed her off, and the next
day, he was back to his old ways.
Now, she no longer held any expectations for this young city lord, only feeling somewhat saddened that the city lord's descendant
was so ordinary, while she, as a representative of the academy's first-year students, would see the gap between her and him widen further and further in the days to come
.
Eluru shook her head and turned to walk towards the teaching building. Today's classes were all very important foundational courses, and she
needed to devote herself wholeheartedly. After all, the fact that commoner students like her could attend classes in such a well-equipped academy
was all thanks to the universal education regulations proposed by the city lord to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Moreover,
the Three Cities Academy Exchange Conference was coming up soon. At that time, Nobi City and Dewdrop City, which were closest to Rain City, would also send outstanding student
representatives. He could only watch this battle for honor from the sidelines with envy.
Chapter Two: Education in the Library (Part 1)
The largest library in the city was located in this academy, which was
one of the reasons why Ren Ping chose to study here.
The entire library was shaped like the Chinese character "工" (gong), divided into a front hall and a back hall. The books on magical artifact making that Ren Ping needed
were located in the southeast corner of the second floor of the back hall.
Leisurely strolling to the southeast corner of the second floor, Ren Ping browsed the bookshelves by the window. He retrieved
several books he hadn't finished reading last time, including "Advanced Introduction to Magic Flow" and "Layered Magic Structure and Conjectures," and
carried them to a solid wood desk by the window, engraved with simple magic-gathering patterns. Bathed in the morning light streaming in, he slowly
immersed himself in the books.
Three hours later, Ren Ping closed the last book, looked up at the
woman in red sitting opposite him, who had been sitting there bored for a long time, and after a few seconds of contemplation, calmly said, "Respected Headmaster, are you here to take me back to class
?"
"You little rascal, come with me..." Monica pursed her lips, glanced at the students she had startled, and
said softly.
Without waiting for his reply, she stood up and walked outside.
The former Demon King raised an eyebrow. Seeing that she wasn't disturbing his reading, he reluctantly rose
, put the books back on the table, and then walked towards Monica, who was quietly waiting for him not far away.
Monica walked slowly, and Ren Ping followed casually behind, head down. He didn't want to be recognized by too many people,
but to the students in the library, this student following the principal was probably doomed—he'd been
personally taken away from the library by the principal himself! However, the principal, in his tight red shirt, leather pants, and black
high heels, still looked incredibly dashing.
Ren Ping was unaware that news of the poor wretch being personally abducted by the principal was about to spread in certain circles
; even if he did know, he would probably just give a wry smile.
A few minutes later, Ren Ping followed Monica into the small room. Ren Ping was slightly surprised. On
the top floor of the library's back building, the principal actually had such an exquisitely decorated room, which appeared to be a rest
room, complete with a table, chairs, sofa, bed, and toilet.
Monica stood inside the room, and after Ren Ping entered, she gently closed and locked the door. She then turned and
coldly looked at Ren Ping, only to find that the little rascal had already leisurely sat on the sofa made of monster hide, even
pouring himself tea, completely ignoring her.
"You little brat, untie me right now!" Monica walked to the table, angrily demanding.
"Hmm?" Ren Ping looked up at her in surprise and asked, "Is the headmaster in some kind of trouble?"
"You must already know!" Monica raised her right hand, clenched it tightly, and said angrily, "You
did this on purpose this morning! Untie me right now, or I'll have to resort to violence!"
Ignoring the beautiful woman's feigned fist, Ren Ping seemed to recall, "Speaking of which, yesterday
a female thief tried to sneak into my private studio, but I happened to be there at the time, and the studio's security system
was quite effective, so I caught the thief."
"However, I was quite busy at the time and didn't have time to interrogate the thief. I just dealt with her briefly and then mercifully
let her go."
As Ren Ping spoke, a blush suddenly appeared on Monica's face.
"You call that a simple treatment?" Monica laughed angrily. "Your simple treatment is being treated
like a toy, manipulated and tested for hours?"
"And besides, did you recognize me right away?! So you deliberately didn't dispel my disguise magic?"
Ren Ping remained noncommittal.
So Monica chose to attack. Of course, she adjusted her magic level to a lower level,
after all, she was somewhat in the wrong. She just needed to let this little rascal know the consequences of flirting with a beauty—it was very serious.
"Ice Freeze!" Monica opened her right hand, fingers loosely clenched, aimed at Ren Ping, and chanted rapidly.
She wanted this bastard to be frozen for a whole day, without food or water, deeply repenting in the ice.
But then she saw a smile in Ren Ping's dark eyes that she couldn't decipher.
Her heart skipped a beat, and then, the next moment, she understood the meaning hidden behind that smile.
As magic rapidly condensed in her hands, a burst of gray light suddenly erupted from within the black silk scarf around her neck,
swirling like a vortex and rapidly drawing away the magic within her body. Even with her near-heavenly-level strength, she
instantly lost all her magic and stamina, collapsing to the ground. The chilling aura that had been gathering in her hands was
violently dispersed due to the magical backlash, and the backlash magic was also completely absorbed.
"You..." Monica struggled to support herself on the floor with her hands, preventing herself from collapsing completely—that would be too
humiliating. Her crimson eyes glared angrily at Ren Ping on the sofa, only to hear Ren Ping's seemingly self-talking
voice, "This function is barely passable."
Then she saw Ren Ping rise from the sofa, a strange smile on his face, walk to her, slowly squat
down, and then, as if examining prey, extend his right hand, lifting her chin and manipulating it from side to side.
She shook her head in shame and anger, but her powerless head couldn't escape the grasp of that hand. She was like a
snow-white rabbit injected with venom by a snake, struggling helplessly.
Her struggles were futile, leaving her only overflowing shame and anger. She opened her mouth, loudly retorting, "If it were Qi Yufei…
"
But the sound that came from her lips was so weak and feeble. Moreover, before she could finish, two white
fingers were thrust straight into her parted lips, completely silencing her.
Her eyes widened in anger, her jaw clenched tightly. If this little rascal didn't pull his fingers back, she would
bite him hard.
Ren Ping, as expected, didn't pull his fingers back. Instead, he teased her pink tongue with amusement. So, she
hardened her heart and quickly closed her lips, but stopped automatically just as her white teeth touched his fingers,
leaving only her lips tightly enveloping those two fingers, as if she were actively sucking on them.
After that, those two fingers wantonly played with her pink tongue inside her mouth, pinching, kneading, pressing, and
squeezing...
She was furious but helpless.
Several seconds later, Ren Ping slowly withdrew his fingers from Monica's red lips. A large amount of clear
saliva glistened on his knuckles under the light.
Ren Ping reached out again, and this time Monica showed some fear. She tilted her head back slightly, her voice trembling with fear,
"You...you mustn't do anything rash, if you..."
"You won't tell anyone." Ren Ping's voice was calm and sharp, instantly silencing her. His
left hand swiftly grasped a corner of the silk scarf around her neck, gently untying it as if drawing silk from a cocoon. His right
hand, still glistening with moisture, lifted her chin at nearly a 45-degree angle, revealing part of her snow-white neck.
The slight sliding sensation on her neck made Monica feel a ticklish sensation. A moment later, with a faint coolness, the black silk
scarf fluttered to the ground. Monica's heart trembled, her eyes slightly closed, her eyelashes trembling nervously. At the same time ,
a lovely pink blush, a sign of shyness, quickly spread across her cheeks.
For a long time, Monica's breath caught in her throat, her legs curled up, her fingers tapping restlessly on the floor.
She could clearly feel a gaze scrutinizing her neck, yet she showed no
resistance, letting that gaze examine her intently.
What Ren Ping was admiring was naturally the object hidden beneath the silk scarf—a red and black metal
collar, or more accurately, a necklace. The collar's surface was inlaid with exquisite and intricate decorative magic patterns. At its front
was engraved a sword-shaped symbol; upon closer inspection, a faint "
P" could be seen flickering within this symbol.
This collar, naturally, was made by Ren Ping himself. The
entire collar was primarily composed of the essence of obsidian and hematite, supplemented with small amounts of mithril, gold crystal, tungsten crystal,
phoenix stone, and super-grade magic crystal powder. It was forged in earth fire for several days, then engraved with several layers of magic patterns to enhance its hardness.
Beneath these patterns, several interwoven layers of functional magic patterns were constructed using magic power. Finally, using his soul aura as a guide,
his blood as a medium, and magic power as fire, its potential was unleashed, and it was refined over five hours.
He had spent the entire previous day working on this, originally worried about finding a test subject, but unexpectedly, someone had come uninvited
.
Judging solely from its ornamental value, the necklace was quite exquisite, and it probably
wouldn't be a problem for a woman to wear it around her neck. However, when a man put it on a woman, its symbolic meaning changed dramatically, at least for
Monica, who found it unbearable.
She had tried all night to untie it, but no matter what she tried, she couldn't remove the tight binding around her neck .
Moreover, in the mirror, it appeared seamless, like a work of art, without any visible
seams. So, early the next morning, she went to the city lord's mansion to confront him. She was simply curious why this little rascal
was suffering so much for skipping class so often; this was the most humiliating day of her life.
But when everyone arrived, she was too ashamed to speak. It wasn't until the little rascal mentioned the scarf around her neck that she realized
he must know. Otherwise, given his laziness, would he casually praise someone?
But now, she seemed to be in an even worse situation.
The most humiliating day of her life had been rewritten in less than a day. P.S
.: H? What's that? Is it edible?
