Stealing Jade

    page views:1  Publication date:2023-03-23
Word count: 13843
Uh… First of all, Happy New Year everyone.
Then, *Stealing Jade* is a novel I promised to update at the end of the year. I'm posting the beginning here to officially mark this project.
My original plan was to temporarily shelve the heavy-handed, self-indulgent *A Generation of Heroes*, and let everyone vote on the priorities for *Stealing Jade* and *Locking Love Curse*
. The main one would be updated weekly, and the secondary one occasionally when I wanted to clear my head.
However, a terrible problem arose: while the *Ruyi Tower* series also updates at 10,000 words per week, the mental
strain is roughly equivalent to five *Locking Love Curse* stories or three *A Generation of Heroes* stories.
I currently have five stories to conceive and four books to actually build up the word count for.
This is a bit too much of a challenge.
Therefore, given that *Locking Love Curse* doesn't require much mental effort and is
the type of story I need to practice recently, I will continue to focus on updating *Locking Love Curse* for the foreseeable future. *Stealing Jade* will be temporarily de-prioritized. *
A Generation of Heroes* will be shelved until *Locking Love Curse* is finished. To avoid the tragedy of unfinished work, I will occasionally
write a little, but once I've reached the word count for a chapter, I won't post it. This is good for everyone.
Some friends may be unhappy about this decision, and I apologize in advance.
Please believe that as long as I maintain my passion for writing, these stories will eventually meet everyone. That
's all, and I wish everyone a Happy New Year. See you in 2017. This article was first published on Dongshengzhou Related Enterprises, Tianxiang Chinese Literature, and Forbidden Bookstore. Please retain this paragraph when reprinting . Thank you. ********** ... However, the hidden dangers of the outlaws in the current dynasty are deeply entrenched, and the martial arts sects have long since gained influence, becoming a force that officials from all directions dare not underestimate or disrespect. A sharp knife, if you want to avoid harming yourself, you must either destroy it or hold it tightly in your hand. Therefore, he only stayed at the Eastern Garrison Commander's residence in Shu Prefecture for one day, but in the Tang Family Fortress's territory, he would stay for at least three days. Fortunately, Tang Yuanshu, the Tang Family Fortress leader, was well-educated and reasonable, unlike other outlaws who exuded a murderous aura . He treated his entourage with utmost hospitality, leaving nothing to be desired. However, no matter how courteous the Tang Family Fortress was, it couldn't compare to the high-ranking officials. His satisfaction actually stemmed partly from another matter. His highly skilled and stunningly beautiful fiancée had arrived yesterday evening. Yu Ruoyan, her father initially named her after the little girl he found, a beautiful child with the features of a porcelain doll, which sounded more like a dancer 's name. Unexpectedly, she possessed astonishing martial arts talent and exceptional physique, along with a strange, ruthless streak . She mastered martial arts skills that even the most skilled guards in the Prince's mansion couldn't fathom, and joined the Six Doors (a secret police agency). Originally, he only admired her unparalleled beauty, but seeing her composed and dignified demeanor while handling cases, a more urgent impulse quietly welled up within him. After repeatedly persuading his father and petitioning for an imperial decree, this goddess-like constable , whose social standing was far from suitable for marriage, was finally to be married into the Zhennan Prince's mansion this autumn, becoming the heir apparent's wife and future princess. Sometimes he wondered if this was too selfish. Knowing full well that her dazzling beauty would be even more captivating in the vastness of the sky and sea, he still chose to cage her, pruning her feathers and beak, transforming her from a lithe female eagle into a docile sparrow. There was a touch of regret, but also a cruel sense of pleasure. He took a sip of wine, letting it slide down his throat, thinking of the delicate maid who had been supposed to serve him in bed, and her last words: "The young master's beautiful fiancée is left idle in the side room; this servant is truly terrified." She was ignorant of etiquette, and what she did was shameless; a pretty face for warm beds and pillows— it wasn't surprising that she would say such a thing. He was just a little surprised that after hearing those words, he had actually sent her away; in his heart, the thought had truly crossed his mind. The wedding was less than three months away; even if he crossed the line tonight, there wouldn't be any unimaginable consequences. Yu Ruoyan had just handled several cases in Shu Prefecture; from what he knew, she was at her most radiant and energetic. He loved that look, and he couldn't wait to see her, with that vigor, undressing before him . This desire had never been so urgent, so intense. He was even somewhat aroused. He swallowed the wine, raised his voice, and the attendant guarding the shadows outside called out, "Go and call Yan'er over, but don't disturb anyone." A twig trembled, and the shadow vanished. Satisfied, he stood up, walked to the bedside, took the sword hanging by the bedside, pulled it out with force, drawing it a short distance, then slowly pushed it back into its sheath, repeating this several times, as if he were seeing Yu Ruoyan's slender and beautiful body in the scabbard. He was usually surrounded by beautiful women for amusement, and not a womanizer, but tonight's arousal was so urgent that it surprised him slightly. A sound came from the window lattice; a guard outside knocked lightly as a reminder. He hung the sword back in its place, smiled slightly, and quickly stepped out from behind the screen. Yu Ruoyan pushed open the door and entered. Arriving at her fiancé's room at this hour, she showed no shyness or trepidation. She merely scanned the room with the sharpness of a detective, and seeing no one else, she relaxed. She strolled to Wu Cheng and bowed, saying, "Your Highness, may I ask what brings you here?" "We are soon to be married, why are you still addressing me with such formality?" He sat down in a chair and chuckled softly. A hint of awkwardness flashed in her eyes, but she still smiled gently and said softly, "Yes, Tuojiang." Hearing that she had changed her address to a courtesy name but her tone was still very polite, Wu Cheng felt slightly displeased. He said in a deep voice, "Yan'er , it seems we haven't seen each other for a long time, and we've grown quite distant. Shouldn't you relinquish your duties in the government office?" It had been agreed that after Yu Ruoyan's wedding, she could still assist in handling major cases in the government as the heir apparent's wife until she became the princess consort and ceased to appear in public.

There were precedents among the imperial relatives. A prince's principal wife in the capital only ceased her duties a year before giving birth
, no longer patrolling and apprehending bandits
. The newlywed wife of the Marquis of Beiyan was still in armor and riding alongside her husband last month, fighting alongside him on the frontier.
Given Yu Ruoyan's reputation in the public service, this agreement wasn't unreasonable.
Wu Cheng's specific mention of it now wasn't a genuine attempt to renege, but rather a subtle expression of dissatisfaction.
Yu Ruoyan, perceptive as ever, frowned slightly and sighed softly, "Tuojiang, I'm usually like this; it's not that I
intentionally distance myself. If I've upset you, it's my fault. Please allow me to gradually change."
He didn't reply, but instead raised his eyes and looked her up and down.
Although her primary purpose in coming here was security, as the future wife of the heir apparent, she naturally couldn't continue wearing
her usual official boots, black trousers, and black robe with arrow sleeves. She changed into a bamboo-embellished green skirt, a sky-blue jacket, earrings, a silver hairpin
, and applied crimson lipstick and eyebrow makeup—it was clear someone had meticulously taken care of her.
This outfit certainly made her look stunning, but for some reason, upon closer inspection, she seemed to lack a certain vitality
, not attracting his attention as much as usual.
He clenched his fist, suddenly finding the dress incredibly jarring, like shoving a priceless gem
into a rough wooden box.
"Take it off," he said, narrowing his eyes, abandoning his attempt at calmness.
Yu Ruoyan was startled, a hint of confusion flashing in her ink-black eyes.
“You don’t need to leave tonight, just rest here.” He tugged at his collar, the heat coursing through him
making him feel a little suffocated. “Anyway… the wedding is coming up soon.”
“Right here?” A flicker of panic vanished in an instant. Yu Ruoyan raised a hand to her neck and asked.
“Behind the screen.” He took a deep breath, got up and walked to the bedside. A surge of heat rushed down to three inches below his navel,
hard as iron.
Yu Ruoyan showed no restraint or coyness, quickly following him, turning to face the screen, and unbuttoned a button.
“Don’t you have anything to say?” Wu Cheng stared at her slender waist and the firm, rounded buttocks, asking in a deep voice.
Yu Ruoyan swept aside her robe, casually untied the ribbon, and draped her lower garment over the screen, saying calmly, "It's
you, whether it's sooner or later, it doesn't matter. As long as you're happy."
Her undergarment was now loose, barely concealing a patch of flawless, snow-white back, revealing a large expanse of smooth, lustrous skin
. Her natural beauty was so striking that even at such close range, not a single pore was visible.
She pulled down her underpants, bending slightly to remove them.
In this position, her half-naked body was fully revealed.
She wasn't the soft, delicate type of woman; although her body was like jade, seemingly fragile, her warm, smooth skin
encased firm, taut muscles. Every bulge and depression exuded a distinct strength .
With her movements, the muscles beneath her skin stretched and contracted—back, waist, hips, thighs, legs, feet…every
part radiated a captivating allure.
Experienced men understood what this extreme elasticity meant. Once entwined by such legs
, one could never forget that soul-stirring, bone-deep pleasure.
In the heat of passion, Wu Cheng suddenly noticed a tattoo.
It was a lifelike butterfly, but upon closer inspection, it was revealed to be concealing a
brand-like scar. The butterfly was tattooed on Yu Ruoyan's other waist; she was pulling down that leg of her trousers when it caught his eye.
Someone in the Prince's mansion must know, but no one had told him.
He frowned. It was clearly a huge flaw, yet, after being depicted, it exuded a cruel allure, appearing
on Yu Ruoyan's exquisite body, neither detracting nor enhancing her beauty.
"What's with this butterfly here?" he asked, reaching out to touch it.
Yu Ruoyan's body trembled, all her movements suddenly freezing.
The next instant, she whirled around, drawing the sword from the bedside table.
The cold blade flashed, piercing Wu Cheng's throat in a single stroke.
Chapter One: The Bandits
Jin Zuyao had been catching thieves for nineteen years.
Starting as a menial laborer repairing shackles and changing locks, he had risen to become the renowned head constable of Tangdong County.
His robes were embroidered with purple thread, but it couldn't restore his wife's withered face from loneliness. The increased stipend from the yamen couldn't buy back his children's
childhood without a father. At
the beginning of this year, he finally found a successor he could trust, and began to enjoy a leisurely life in a sinecure.
Although he earned less money, he no longer had to risk his life in and out of prison, so his family had no complaints
.
The villagers who used to call him "Head Constable Jin" gradually got used to calling him "Jailer Jin."
Prisoners in Tangdong County were usually sent directly to the prefectural city; the county jail was only used for temporary transfers. Jin Zuyao's appointment to this position was
simply a favor from his brothers and superiors, a token of gratitude for his years of hard work.
The scars on his body that would bring tears to his wife's eyes had finally stopped at seventy-one.
His body was finally at rest, but his mind was far from at ease.
Ever since he heard about that shocking case a few days ago, he had felt a vague unease. He believed that
most of the thousands of brothers in the Shu Prefecture government were like him, unable to sleep at night.
In the past, he would inspect the prison cells, give the guards some instructions, and then return home to rest at the appointed time. But these past few days, he
couldn't help but go to the government office, hoping to find out some information.
However, even within the government, all the details of the case were strictly kept secret.
There wasn't a whisper of it in Dongchuan County, so what could he possibly find out in Tangdong County?
That night, he brewed a pot of yellow wine, cut half a pound of mutton, and finally forced himself to stop thinking about
the cause of that bizarre event. He left the county office early and headed home.
His family were all honest commoners, only concerned with food, clothing, and shelter, and not paying attention to important court affairs. He didn't want to go into details, only
telling his wife that the work of the past few days was finished and that she could rest as usual from now on.
After the family had finished dinner, he, slightly tipsy, returned to the room and embraced his wife from behind, her waist finally showing signs of
fuller figure. She
had married him when she was a beautiful sixteen-year-old, and in the blink of an eye, she was a thirty-five-year-old woman in his arms.
In the past six months, with him helping to care for the elderly at home, his wife's complexion had gradually improved,
and the premature signs of aging had disappeared. The body he held in his arms had regained its womanly softness and suppleness.
He hadn't made love for half a month, but tonight's slight intoxication reignited a long-dormant desire in his lower abdomen.
His throat bobbed, and his hands, working in two directions, attacked from above and below.
His wife's breasts, which had nurtured three children, remained full and soft. Beneath her rough cloth skirt, her
legs were still strong, though once from running in the fields, now from the endless daily chores
.
He loosened her skirt and hastily pressed his wife onto the bed.
The door was closed, the lights were off.
In the darkness, the mature woman couldn't help but breathe softly, each
soft moan escaping her throat with the rhythm of his thrusts.
There, she was still soft and tender, not as tight as in her youth, but even more easily aroused, more capable
of evoking responses never before felt in her shyness.
His back injury had kept him away from the most dangerous spot, and now, also due to his back injury, he quickly felt his strength waning.
His wife kissed him tenderly, then rolled over on top of him.
He turned to enjoy it, his body gradually relaxing.
Only with his wife could he feel so relaxed, like a child returning to his mother's arms.
The more intense the passion, the less it lasted.
Soon, the couple trembled as they embraced, entering into intense pleasure together.
Only in moments like these could he rediscover the feeling of youth, as if he could still wield a knife and
charge into the midst of thieves, fighting a bloody battle.
But when it was all over, he had to admit that he was a forty-one-year-old man, and his long
career in the public service made him seem to grow twice as old as others each year.
How long had it been since he and his wife had shared a night of passion? The last time… it seemed to be the night they were pregnant with their youngest child
.
A faint sadness welled up in his heart. He pulled the blanket up to cover his wife's shoulders and neck, and sighed softly.
Unexpectedly, someone outside the window also sighed.
"Who's there?" He rolled out of bed, instantly grabbing a single-edged sword from the wall beside the bed, not caring that he was naked,
his penis still sticky with vaginal fluid, dangling between his legs.
"Officer Jin, your reaction was quick. It's just a pity your hearing isn't what it used to be. Three years ago,
we probably wouldn't have been able to hear such a live sex show without even noticing."
This wasn't untrue. Two years ago, Jin Zuyao was stabbed in the back of the ear, almost losing his only ear. Since then, his hearing
has been no different from that of an ordinary person.
But his swordsmanship hasn't suffered.
Like most skilled constables, he had no martial arts lineage, practicing only the most common
swordsmanship used in the police force. There were no fancy moves; what mattered was the skill honed through countless strikes.
"Although I've been transferred to the position of jailer, there's no such thing as a clean break in the Six Doors. I don't expect you villains
to forgive and forget. If you've come seeking revenge, then take action. I've arrested countless villains in my life, and I've long anticipated
this day." He said in a deep voice, shifting his feet slightly to shield his wife by the bedside.
His wife wasn't particularly alarmed.
She had been married to a man from the government for nineteen years and had long since prepared for the worst.
Peace and tranquility always depended on someone like her husband risking his life to maintain it. And
wasn't she the one who could give her husband the peace of mind to risk his life?
"Zuyao, don't worry about me. If things get heated, go save our parents and children." She fumbled for her
clothes under the covers, pulled out a pair of scissors from the bedside table, and held them tightly. "It doesn't matter if we can't defeat these villains. Remember to wait
for me at the gates of hell. I will never disgrace the Jin family."
There was silence outside for a long time.
Jin Zuyao hesitated slightly, quickly put on a pair of trousers, and cautiously took two steps towards the window.
Suddenly, a strange laugh came from outside, followed by a painful groan as someone fell out of the window with a thud, crashing
to the ground.
A hoarse voice came from the roof, sneering, "You little thief, just lead the way to the person,
what are you pretending to be? I think this guy surnamed Jin has injured his back, catching you will be as easy as it was back then."
The voice that spoke earlier groaned twice, not daring to talk back, and slipped away.
"Who exactly is this person? What is their purpose?" Jin Zuyao felt a little uneasy. Judging from the situation outside,
the person who came did not seem to be an ordinary bandit he had captured before, but some kind of not-so-friendly figure from the martial arts world.
"You, a small-town constable, probably wouldn't know even if I told you. It's a waste of time
." A rather high-pitched male voice came over, the tone sarcastic and unpleasant to listen to.
"Telling you won't hurt. We are brothers, both surnamed Linghu. I am Linghu Yin, and that is my brother Linghu
Yang. When people say Yin and Yang brothers, they usually mean us." The hoarse voice answered slowly and politely.
Linghu Yang's shrill, affected voice followed, "Why waste so much breath?
Just capture his whole family and get down to business. He's probably never left Tangdong in his life, how could he possibly have heard of us?"
Jin Zuyao's back was already covered in cold sweat.
He had left Tangdong and worked on cases with other government officials, so he knew the Yin-Yang Brothers.
They were twins in their thirties, and supposedly even younger than him
.
But they looked nothing alike. Rumor had it that they had picked up a secret manual as children, but their understanding of it
differed, resulting in their appearances becoming completely opposite.
Jin Zuyao had never seen them in person, but he knew they were notorious bandits in the Southwest, wanted by the government for years
without ever being captured.
These fierce bandits, who were also quite famous in the martial arts world, were certainly not someone an ordinary jailer like him could handle
. His hand holding the knife trembled slightly.
More despairing than fear can destroy a person's confidence.
But true courage lies in overcoming fear and despair.
He gritted his teeth, and his strong arms finally regained their footing.
His wife had made her mind made clear; how could he, a man of integrity, collapse without a fight?
"I don't care if you're brothers or weirdos, if you want my life, come and take it!" he roared
, brandishing his sword and striding forward, firmly guarding the space between the bed and the door.
A sharp, thin voice let out a cold laugh, as if someone were twisting its neck, saying, "But we don't..."
"We want your life, and we'd like to ask for your help."
Linghu Yin's hoarse voice immediately followed, "We brothers will definitely not treat you unfairly. If you're willing to help,
we have an estate and a hundred taels of silver, which we'll present to you with both hands after the deed is done. Although our reputation in the martial arts world
isn't good, we've never taken back what we've said."
Linghu Yang sneered, "If you don't want these material things, we brothers can also take your son away
and personally instruct him in martial arts, guaranteeing that he'll become a top-tier master in the martial arts world in ten years."
Under immense pressure, this sudden barrage of threats and inducements left Jin Zuyao completely bewildered and at a loss. He said in a deep
voice, "Although I'm just a jailer, I'm still a man of integrity, receiving a salary from the imperial court. Don't even
think about me helping you with anything illegal or disorderly!" Linghu Yang's tone changed, and he said coldly, "
Hey Jin, don't be ungrateful. We can teach your son martial
arts, so naturally we can do other things to him too. My brother isn't as strange as me. Your daughter... seems to be of
marriageable age, right?"
"Brother, don't scare him. He's left the Six Doors, so don't treat him like a dog's claws." Linghu Yin raised
his voice, "Jin, the prison warden we're asking for your help with isn't anything serious. Every
year, there are bound to be a few such incidents in prisons all over the country. Don't worry, we definitely won't trace it back to you afterward."
"Tell us what it is first," Jin Zuyao asked loudly, intending to alert the neighbors.
His wife whispered a reminder, "Old Jin, don't be so loud. What if you hurt the neighbors?" Jin
Zuyao's heart skipped a beat, a slight sense of shame washing over him. His face flushed, and he couldn't help but slap himself.
The Yin-Yang brothers whispered amongst themselves for a moment outside. Linghu said in a somber voice, "It's alright to speak first. In a few days,
a serious criminal will be transferred to the Tangdong County prison for temporary accommodation. You're the prison warden, so you must be there to guard her that day. I
have a pill here that has no taste when dissolved in water. Secretly let her drink it; after the poison takes effect, she'll be
no different from a dead person. Take her out of the cell and dump her in the mass grave by the pond. That'll count as helping her."
Linghu Yang whispered a reminder, "That person is already guilty of a capital offense, punishable by a thousand cuts. The brothers promise not to let her die
too easily. In the end, no serious criminal has escaped, so you won't be breaking the law, will you?" Jin
Zuyao gripped the hilt of his knife tightly, the bandage on his palms soaked with cold sweat.
Just as he was about to shout, a sinister laugh
suddenly came from outside. A voice, seemingly drained of breath by wine and women, drifted out, "Brothers Yin Yang, if you really want revenge for our old boss, just poison
him. Why go through all this trouble to bring her out? Are you planning to kill her to commemorate an old friend, or are you planning to hide her away and play with her for
a few days?"
The voice emphasized the word "day" heavily, its tone lewd and clearly pointed.
Linghu Yang snorted coldly, "My brother is never picky about women, and I have absolutely no
interest in women. Bringing her out is naturally to hold a grand funeral, gather old friends, and properly torture her to vent our anger. We
don't have your omnipresent interest, Hua Luochen." Jin
Zuyao was startled. Hearing this, he realized the newcomer was
none other than Hua Luochen, the ruthless lecher who had stolen countless women's virtues along the river. It was said that this lecherous thief hadn't originally given himself this nickname, but when he broke into women's homes, he wouldn't just
humiliate them once and leave. He would rather endure the filth and risk great danger than
stop until he had taken the woman's mouth, anus, and anus at least once. Thus, the nickname "Ruthless" came to be.
This thief was a master of light-footedness and pressure point techniques. Many of his victims belonged to martial arts families; in fact,
there were probably more people in the martial arts world who wanted to capture him than in the government.
Hua Luochen chuckled and said, "Let's not beat around the bush. My lifelong wish is to be able to kiss one of the four most
beautiful women in the martial arts world. Upon receiving the news, I traveled day and night, and three of my horses died from exhaustion. Naturally, I'm in high spirits." "
To be honest, I'm really horny right now. If you don't mind, I'm going to find that Jin woman's
daughter or wife to relieve my pent-up desire later."
Jin Zuyao glared and roared, "You dare!"
Hua Luochen lewdly laughed, "Why wouldn't I dare? As long as I have the chance, even if it's the emperor's woman, I
dare to sleep with her from head to toe. Life is short, so why be a flower thief if you're afraid of death?"
Linghu Yin said loudly, "It seems Brother Hua is also planning to target Prisoner Jin?"
Hua Luochen laughed, "Who doesn't know that once that prisoner arrives, the area around Tangdong Yamen will be filled with spies?
Then, experts will surround the prison so tightly that you really think that idea will work?"
Linghu Yang said unhappily, "Oh, so Brother Hua, do you have any good plans?"
"I don't need to drag anyone out and kill them." "I'm used to being incredibly audacious. Prison Chief Jin has no reason to break the law.
I'll just strike his family's weak points, change into a jailer's uniform, and have him take me to the cell for one night's shift. Once
inside, that stunning beauty will be bound and unable to move, completely at my mercy. Afterwards, I'll
dress her properly, and whether he kills or tortures her is none of my business," Hua Luochen said leisurely, clearly having already made her plans.
"I'm not afraid Prison Chief Jin won't agree. If he lets me sleep with that woman, I'll go. If he doesn't, I'll use his wife and children
. He's willing to be cuckolded and ruin his daughter's reputation for a death row inmate; I don't mind."
Jin Zuyao was furious, his knife trembling slightly, unsure what to say.
Linghu Yang said softly, "His wife is incredibly virtuous; she's holding scissors right now, she might just commit suicide
."
Unexpectedly, Hua Luochen lewdly laughed, "It doesn't matter if she's dead. Within half an hour, as long as she's still a little warm, I 'll
do whatever I want with her. I have no taboos, but it's a pity that Madam Jin will die with another man's essence in her body. Even in
the King of Hell, she won't be judged a virtuous woman."
Jin Zuyao clearly heard his wife gasp, his heart tightened, and he wished he could rush out of the house and
fight to the death first.
Linghu Yin exclaimed in surprise, "Even you've come. Has the news spread so far?"
Hua Luochen laughed, "Not far at all. I've been inquiring about this beauty ever since she was captured, and I entered Shuzhou a long time ago.
A few days ago, those righteous people caused a great disturbance in Hulin City. These days, it seems that all the underworld in the entire southwest
will be visiting Tang Clan's territory."
Linghu Yin seemed somewhat worried and asked, "Who else is coming?"
Hua Luochen pondered for a moment and said, "Just counting those I'm sure are here, there are the three Bi brothers from Cangjian Ridge,
the other two, Huo Yaoyao, the eight-tailed fox who's almost a spirit,
Fei Shu, the red-faced monk whose face is disfigured by tattoos, and Chu Dixuan, the exquisite evil pagoda who, like me, only seeks the intoxicating beauty of a woman... Look, there's a swordsman seeking revenge, a
witch hoping to make a name for herself, a strange monk dissatisfied with his imprisonment, and a master of 'life-gathering' who covets a beauty's power.
Tell me, isn't it lively?"
Perhaps seeing that the Yin-Yang brothers' faces weren't very pleasant, he added with a smile, "So
it's nothing that you two arrived early. The martial world has never been a place of first come, first served."
"You're right," a cold voice interjected. "The three of you coming first wouldn't amount to much
."
Linghu Yang's high-pitched voice trembled slightly this time, forcing a sarcastic tone as he said, "Xi Laosan, with your skills, you
shouldn't even be trying to kill the jailer, right? The person who hired you to kill this guy probably paid at least several thousand taels of
silver. If you don't fight your way into the prison, how can you justify the sword in your hand?"
Jin Zuyao's grip loosened, and the single-edged sword fell to the ground with a clatter.
He still had the courage to fight desperately against the Yin-Yang Brothers and Hua Luochen, but this Xi Wukan, who had fallen into the Nine Springs, even if he risked
nine lives, he probably wouldn't even be able to touch the hem of his clothes.
In the assassin's profession, fame can spread far and wide, but the real assassin must be low-key and secretive.
An assassin that everyone can recognize at a glance usually doesn't live long.
Xi Wukan should be considered one of the few assassins in the martial arts world whose portraits were provided by the government and who is still alive today.
There are only two kinds of assassins: those that can't be found and those that can't be defeated.
Xi Wukan is the latter.
In the martial arts world, reputation to some extent symbolizes strength.
So even with Hua Luochen and the Yin-Yang brothers, they are probably no match for Xi Wukan.
Xi Wukan sneered, "What does that have to do with you? Since I'm here, you have to leave."
There was no sound from outside for a long time. Jin Zuyao stood there in the room for a moment, then bent down to pick up the single-edged sword,
smiled sadly, and turned the blade towards himself.
In fact, he had already heard rumors before, and the gathering of the bandits here tonight confirmed his guess.
The serious criminal who committed the shocking case was going to be temporarily detained in Tangdong County.
Although most of the brothers in the public office were unwilling to mention the death row inmate's name, how could he not know that recently, in Shuzhou , who else
could be considered worthy of being called "hearing the emperor's ears," besides Yu Ruoyan, the number one female constable in the world who surrendered after killing the Prince of Zhennan
?
The case threw the Southwest into chaos. News of the death leaked out, and within days, it had
spread throughout the four prefectures and most of Jiangnan.
Within the six vassal states, unless it was a serious crime like treason, local officials were responsible for their own trials.
Yu Ruoyan, naturally, was to be escorted to the Zhennan Prince's Mansion. The hatred for the murder of one's son was irreconcilable; in everyone's eyes,
Constable Yu was already a death row inmate.
However, this death row inmate couldn't be sent out and remained in Dongchuan County, where Tangjiabao was located.
It was said that the most skilled officials in the Southwest had arrived, and those from afar were rushing day and night. The Prince's
Mansion had also dispatched several of its top talents, all to ensure Yu Ruoyan arrived alive at the Zhennan Prince's Mansion and was handed over to
the Prince for personal processing.
This was because so many people wanted Yu Ruoyan.
For five or six years, she had swept through the Southwest underworld, offending countless people, big and small, yet she was also considered one of the four most beautiful women in the martial arts world in recent years
, universally acknowledged for her stunning beauty.
Several local officials in Dongchuan County spent half the night plotting a plan: to find some female prisoners to impersonate and try escorting
them to see the consequences.
As a result, all four female prisoners vanished without a trace, and the thirty-six officials dispatched from four directions found none alive. If it weren't for the Tang Clan's full support in stabilizing the situation, those terrified officials probably wouldn't have dared to stay
in their own offices any longer. Why would news spread that such a troublesome prisoner was to be transferred to Tangdong County? Sending her here was completely opposite to the Zhennan Prince's residence. Had they changed their minds and decided to cross the Jinsha River to send her to the capital? Or were they planning to travel south through the four southern prefectures to the sea, taking a long detour through the barbarian lands to reach Dianzhou? Jin Zuyao, a mere jailer, naturally couldn't guess what his superior was planning, but he knew that this damned news was about to cost his entire family their lives. Why did these martial arts figures know so easily about something that hadn't even spread within the officialdom? As he racked his brains, Xi Wukan's cold voice rang out again from outside: "You still haven't given up ? You think that among the experts from Tangdong County, I'm the only one you can't afford to offend, and that you might have a chance , right?" No one answered, except Linghu Yang, who gave a sarcastic snort, tacitly agreeing. "Fools. Do you really think that only trash like you would have designs on someone like Yu Ruoyan? Those who rushed here either want to kill her or want to sleep with her?" Xi Wukan sneered. "I'll only mention two people; you should look at your own heads and see if they're tough enough." He paused slightly, then said in a low voice, "Snow Jade Hairpin, treading on clouds, a sword slaying a deadly green skirt." The Yin-Yang brothers gasped. Linghu said in a gloomy voice, "Yong Sujin and Miss Bi? Why would they bother with this?" Linghu Yang whispered, "They've both been wanted by the government; they're here to kill a female constable to vent their anger. But although those two are formidable , their martial arts skills are probably still a step below Yu Ruoyan's. " "We can only take advantage of what's readily available." Hua Luochen's tone was somewhat terrified as he said, "Brother Linghu, your information is really outdated . Don't you know that these... these two female fiends have actually become members of Ruyi Tower?" Linghu asked in alarm, "Could it be... that Ruyi Tower has taken a liking to Yu Ruoyan and intends to recruit her?" Xi Wukan snorted and said, "More than that, while the prisoner is still being escorted out of Dongchuan County, the Tang Clan has mobilized its entire force to investigate whether there are any hidden secrets behind this. What they want is Yu Ruoyan's favor. Besides the Tang Clan and Ruyi Tower, how do you know that no other force is eyeing this woman? You'd better give up and get lost."

Hua Luochen chuckled lewdly and said, "Fine, I'm leaving. But don't even think about giving up. It seems
I won't get a chance with Jin Laotou, so I'll find another way. I can't die
in peace if I don't get to taste the flavors of the Four Beauties of the Jianghu."
Xi Wukan coldly said, "Why don't you go find the other three? Yu Ruoyan killed without a trace of clothing, so she might
have already been deflowered by the young master. According to the rules, she's not qualified to be among them."
Linghu Yin sighed and said, "Since Jin Laotou has been targeted by you, Xi
Laosan, we brothers are unlucky. Farewell, we'll think of another way."
Jin Zuyao held his sword to his neck, took two steps back, and waited for Xi Wukan to enter and make his move as the other sounds outside gradually subsided
.
The lives of his family were important, but he couldn't disregard the law for them and harm Yu Butou.
After much deliberation, he realized that only death could put an end to their thoughts.
With the blade pressed against his neck, he glared at the door and asked, "Xi Wukan, let me tell you, whether I take you to jail
or try to get Constable Yu out, you can forget about it. I will never do anything for you!"
The door was slowly pushed open, and a well-proportioned middle-aged man stepped in, closed the door behind him, walked to the table
, picked up a flint and steel to light the oil lamp, and sat down leisurely on a stool. His long sword remained on his back, and he said calmly:
"Do you really think I'm afraid you'll commit suicide?"
Jin Zuyao said in a deep voice, "At least... if I die, your conspiracy will not succeed!"
Unexpectedly, the middle-aged man with a gloomy face twitched, his voice suddenly changed, and a string of silvery
laughter emerged. He clapped his hands and said, "Then go die. I can even impersonate Xi Laosan, whom I've only met twice, so
vividly that I can scare the three outside. You and I have been secretly watching for four days. Not to mention his demeanor,
I can even make her unable to recognize you when you take off your wife's clothes."
Jin Zuyao was shocked. He had long known that there were some extraordinary people in the martial arts world who could disguise themselves and
change their voices with superb skills, but to see one actually appear was still so shocking that he couldn't believe his eyes.
This middle-aged man, who looked exactly like the real deal, was actually speaking in a delicate and soft Jiangnan female voice
.
The oil lamp shone on the man's face, making it indescribably eerie.
"You...you're not Xi Laosan? Then...then who are you?"
The disguised woman chuckled, crossing her legs, and said, "When that lecherous scoundrel was calling out names just now, wasn't there only one
woman? Can't you guess?"
"Eight-tailed fox...Huo Yaoyao?"
"I wouldn't dare say that, it's me, your little sister." She giggled. "Although I can't
compare to the unfathomable skills of the Seven-Skilled Boy or Long Shijiu,
I'm more than capable of fooling the fools in your yamen. But you can rest assured, I'm not going to break her out of prison, nor do I have any interest in killing Yu Ruoyan and offending the Zhennan Prince's Mansion. I'm just going to disguise myself as you
to guard her for one night, to test the eyes of the world's number one female constable, and to test my supernatural abilities."
Jin Zuyao gritted his teeth and said, "Don't forget, it was Constable Yu who personally arrested Wuxiang Langjun! Are you
sure you're better than him?"
Huo Yaoyao laughed and said, "Those who learn our skills, how can they know their limits without testing them
? If I fool her, wouldn't that prove I'm a cut above Wuxiang Langjun? At least I won't have to worry about being caught and beheaded for swindling in the future
."
"My wife won't cooperate with you. These next few days, whenever your colleagues visit, you'll definitely give yourself away."
Huo Yaoyao scoffed, unconcerned. "You're so stupid. It seems all these years as a constable and head constable
have been nothing but manual labor. Do you think your disguise skills are only good for yourself? I can easily find a
girl with a similar figure to play your bedridden wife for a few taels of silver.
You don't even understand such simple江湖 (jianghu) tricks? You should just go lie under the bed and let me help you get through these next few days."
Jin Zuyao was truly desperate. A thought struck him. He thought Huo Yaoyao was skilled in disguise, and judging from her voice, she was a young
woman whose martial arts might not be strong. Gritting his teeth, he swung his knife, shouting, "Take me down first!"
Huo Yaoyao, however, seemed to have anticipated this. She flicked her wrist, and a wisp of gray smoke shot out, directly towards Jin Zuyao's face.
He quickly held his breath, his knife strike naturally slowing for a moment.
Huo Yaoyao giggled, her figure swaying as she moved sideways, slashing at the tendons on his elbow with her palm. With a swift movement, she
turned like the wind, grabbing his neck from behind, squeezing so hard that his whole body went numb and he dropped his knife. She then laughed
, "A girl who only knows how to disguise herself, even with a great hero like Chu Xiangshuai guarding her, is bound to get into trouble
. How could I dare not learn some self-defense skills?"
He held his breath, not daring to speak, listening to her nonchalant conversation, hoping the poisonous smoke would also be effective against her.
Unexpectedly, Huo Yaoyao flicked her wrist and inserted a thin needle into the back of his neck. She used her inner strength to force the poison in, saying softly
, "That was just some dirt I'd picked out of my sleeve earlier, it's not poisonous. You'd
better breathe quickly, don't suffocate."
She released the needle, retreated to the bedside, and sat down, looking at Jin Zuyao's frozen back. "But
this needle really is poisonous," she said. "If your wife is obedient and helps me save some money and cause less trouble, I'll give you the antidote every day
. How about it?"
His wife was pale, sweating profusely, and the scissors in her hand were... Unable to contain herself, she stammered, "You...
what exactly do you want to do?"
Huo Yaoyao laughed, "It's exactly what I said! Why do you all think I'm lying? My information network is
far better than those idiots from before. Those who want to kill Constable Yu, those who want to save Constable Yu—neither side is
someone a nobody like me can afford to mess with. Just that ruthless, bloodthirsty female demon, Yong Sujin, who smears blood on her toenails—
just seeing her makes my legs tremble. I really just want to test my disguise skills. Stop
being so stubborn, okay?"
"Your disguise skills are indeed impressive; even my eyes, which are used to staring at women all day, didn't notice."
A slightly annoyed voice suddenly came from outside. "It's a pity you can only imitate a face and a voice, which is why you
acted as Xi Laosan and talked so much, arousing our suspicion."
Linghu Yang shrieked, "That's right, we only realized something was wrong after we were already far away. If it really was Xi Laosan, he
would have come down and taken one of our arms the moment we left, instead of standing on the roof nagging!"
With a loud crash, the door was kicked open, and a dwarf man, as tall as a child, stood outside. He spoke
in Linghu Yin's hoarse and powerful voice: "You wicked fox, you actually dared to plot against me!"
Linghu Yin, who spoke with such force that he kicked the wooden door like a piece of paper, was actually a tiny dwarf, only half the height of a person
. The tall, burly man behind him, with a face full of scars, had no beard. When he spoke, he used Linghu
Yang's unsettlingly emphasizing tone: "But we should thank you, you wicked woman. Jin Laotou's failed suicide
saved us a lot of trouble."
Huo Yaoyao's eyes were already showing some panic, but she still smiled and said, "Since that's the case, how do you plan to thank me?"
With a click, a burly man in a short blue shirt jumped in through the window. A pair of fine steel judge's pens hung at his waist.
His eyes were rosy, and his smile was quite lewd. He said, "A little slut like you should naturally be given
a good beating by me."
He thrust forward... He leered, "You have to accept this grand gift from me, whether you like it or not. And accepting it from just one place isn't enough
; I'll thank you from all sides."
Huo Yaoyao slowly moved away from the wall. Xi Laosan's makeup was useless, so she simply tore it off,
throwing it along with the clay at her feet, revealing a pitiful and endearing face. She smiled ingratiatingly, "In terms of looks, I ca
n't compare to the world's number one female constable. Brother Hua, a man of such refined taste, shouldn't you
prioritize your life's ambitions?"
Hua Luochen snorted. For a man with such a strong lustful desire, seeing Huo Yaoyao's face ignited his anger
. Half of it had disappeared, and the rest had been moved to her crotch. Her tone softened slightly as she said, "I'm not picky.
I'll eat imperial cuisine if I want, or plain porridge and side dishes, I'll have it all. Besides... Miss Huo's appearance is certainly worthy
of a delicacy from the water towns."
Huo Yaoyao raised her hand to wipe away the remaining clay, feeling a pang of regret for not adding
another layer of ugly woman's skin mask under Xi Wukan's disguise. She still smiled sweetly and said, "The three of you have just witnessed my abilities. With
my help, it's like adding wings to a tiger. Actually, if we all think about it carefully, we can cooperate sincerely and each get what we need, right
?"
Linghu Yin's eyebrows... With a flick of her wrist, she grabbed her brother, who was about to attack, and said in a deep voice, "What do you mean?"
Huo Yaoyao hurriedly replied, "If Prison Chief Jin won't cooperate with you, I will! I'll disguise myself as
Prison Chief Jin and help you two brothers smuggle the drug in. We'll improvise and find a way to get Yu Ruoyan out. Then, Brother Hua will
only want Yu Ruoyan's virginity for a night of pleasure. You can let him enjoy it first, and then take her to the mourning hall for a
private torture session. Go ahead and take your revenge! Wouldn't that be a win-win situation?"
This plan did sound more reliable; at least this woman was much more resourceful than Jin Zuyao, and
they were kindred spirits.
Linghu Yin pondered for a moment and said, "But as I just said, even with the drug, getting Yu Ruoyan out of that prison
won't be easy."
"Isn't this the perfect time to test my disguise skills?" Huo Yaoyao quickly pointed to her face and said...
“If using medicine isn’t easy, I’ll disguise Brother Hua as a fellow jailer and have him come in with me. We’ll
use Brother Hua’s acupressure techniques to subdue Yu Ruoyan, then I’ll disguise her as the head jailer, and then I’ll disguise myself as Yu Ruoyan.
We’ll switch places, and Brother Hua can say that the head jailer has fallen seriously ill and needs to be sent home. As for how I’ll escape from prison, you don’t
need to worry about that.”
Seeing that the other two were clearly tempted, Linghu Yang said loudly, “Don’t believe her! A
young and pretty woman like that never tells the truth!”
Linghu Yin coughed heavily, his small body startling his tall brother, who took a half step back and dared not speak again.
He then asked, “Brother Hua, what do you think?”
Hua Luochen scanned Huo Yaoyao from head to toe and suddenly asked, “Did you put something in your boots?”
Huo Yaoyao nodded, squatted down, took off her boots, and simply stood on the ground wearing only her rags, making her appear shorter
.
Hua Luochen stared at her small, delicate feet and lewdly said, "Cooperation is fine, but I need to see
your sincerity first."
Huo Yaoyao's face paled slightly, and she slowly slipped her small hands into her sleeves to hold something, saying, "I wonder
what I should do to show enough sincerity, little sister?"
Hua Luochen glanced at her sideways with his peach blossom eyes and said, "It'll be a few days before the prisoner arrives. During this time, you
don't need to disguise yourself or wear anything. Just stay in my room and sleep with me."
A cold glint flashed in Huo Yaoyao's eyes, but she still smiled and said, "Since Brother Hua has taken such good intentions, I will naturally comply.
However, I am inexperienced in such matters, so I beg Brother Hua to be gentle and considerate in the future ..." "Being a concubine is fine, at least I'll have a title."
Hua Luochen sneered, "That kind of thing can wait. Since you've agreed, take your clothes off now."
Huo Yaoyao was taken aback, then laughed, "Brother Hua, are you teasing me? This... there are many eyes watching here.
How can I, a virgin, do this?"
Hua Luochen coldly said, "You eight-tailed fox have at least eight skills. Although you're not half as good as Long Shijiu, just
your lightness skill, hidden weapons, and poison skills are enough to give people a headache.
I only dare to touch a woman like you in two situations: one is when you're completely naked. Hurry up and take your clothes off."
Huo Yaoyao smiled charmingly, raised her hands to indicate that she had nothing else, and walked gracefully to Hua Luochen, softly saying:
"I've added so many things to my disguise, it's so hard to take them off, why don't you help me?"
She pointed to her belt, her face flushed, and said, "I'm about to be yours, and you're
still willing to let other stinky men see me?"
Hua Luochen snorted, reaching forward to grab the belt, but suddenly, with lightning speed, he raised his hand and
pointed a finger at her collarbone. Then, with lightning speed, he tapped her neck seven times.
Huo Yaoyao felt a jolt of numbness, unable to move, and broke out in a cold sweat. She trembled and said, "Brother Hua, what...
what do you mean by this?"
Hua Luochen didn't answer. He took out a judge's pen, hooked her belt, and lowered her head. In the light of the oil lamp,
the Yin-Yang brothers beside him saw that several tiny needles had been threaded through the inside of the belt, flashing blue light, clearly
heavily poisoned.
Linghu Yin couldn't help but say, "This woman has such cunning methods."
Hua Luochen sneered, "Beautiful women who roam the martial world are either highly skilled in martial arts, cunning, or
have invincible backing. Otherwise, in this desolate, dog-eat-dog world, they'd be riding on a man's
crotch within three days. Who among these desperate, blood-soaked outlaws would mistreat their penises?"
He raised his judge's pen and swept it across the room. The pen tip tore open her clothes, spilling out several pieces
of padding used to disguise her figure, revealing Huo Yaoyao's fair and delicate skin.
"This is the second situation I mentioned—being acupunctured by me." Hua Luochen's eyes gleamed as he lewdly laughed,
"But even if I acupunctur you, I won't touch you to take off your clothes. These judge's pens
are very useful right now."
With each sentence, he crossed the pen. The hissing
and tearing sounds continued, and in the blink of an eye, Huo Yaoyao's upper body was nearly naked, with only
a pair of sleeves remaining below her shoulders.
Two delicate, small breasts, each easily grasped in one hand, trembled and were exposed before them.
The night wind blew through the window, brushing against her chest, revealing her two undisguised rosy nipples, which hardened slightly and stood erect
atop her breasts.
Hua Luochen, satisfied, examined her breasts closely, raising his hand to tear open her lower garment, when his ears twitched, hearing
a strange sound.
Having been a womanizer for many years, he was most acutely aware of his surroundings. He immediately gripped his judge's pen, leaping backward through
the window without hesitation, shouting angrily, "Who goes there?"
The Yin-Yang brothers reacted swiftly, immediately following him outside, looking towards Hua Luochen.
A young woman in a jade-green dress stood there gracefully, her eyes sweeping over the three of them
like cold lightning. Her lips were tightly pressed together, offering no reply. With a clang, she drew a precious sword from her waist; its clear light gleamed coldly, clearly
a divine weapon, even the scabbard was extremely valuable, and a large jade bead adorned the hilt.
The scabbard was entirely blue, and as if to complement it, a light green mark was prominently displayed on the spine of the sword
.
Hua Luochen's expression changed, and he exclaimed in surprise, "Miss Bi!"
