One of the women said, "On what grounds?"

Immediately afterward, Fang Mei spun around, using her right foot as a pivot, and delivered a side kick with her left foot, knocking the crew-cut man to the ground. At the same time, she caught the falling pistol.
In those brief seconds, almost a blink of an eye, Fang Mei's series of actions were swift and decisive, cleanly and efficiently subduing an armed assailant. As a criminal investigator, her professional skills and demeanor were exceptionally high.
Two male officers immediately pounced on the crew-cut man, pinning him to the ground, while a female officer stepped forward, pointing a gun at his head.
