Ethical Views on Sexual Intercourse in Families:
Families that can achieve sexual intercourse are at a very high level! Firstly, the couple must have reached a consensus; otherwise, it wouldn't be called "exchanging partners," it would be "stealing." Secondly, they must genuinely care about each other's sexual well-being, finding their own happiness in the other's; otherwise, they wouldn't do it openly but secretly. Thirdly, they must want to maintain the family's existence to negotiate and resolve sexual issues; otherwise, they would be indifferent and unmoved by such matters. Considering these points, sexual intercourse is a good thing, certainly not a poison in family life.
The main difference between humans and animals is that humans are shy and hide what they consider shameful. As a result, the body is often covered by clothing, with the reproductive system being the most crucial part of this covering. Consequently, the function of the reproductive system gradually transformed from a simple reproductive function into a private act, and later became associated with love and affection. Sexual activity became known as sexual intercourse, and it was believed to exist only between lovers. Because sex can result in death, to control population growth, sex was linked to marriage and family, leading to the common belief that sex is the exclusive domain of married couples.
The family is a cell of social life, essential for stability. Maintaining harmony within a family involves multiple aspects: love, obligations, and responsibilities. Therefore, the state has laws and regulations to protect marriage and maintain the family. But is sex truly confined to the family?
Sex is a need! Like hunger and thirst, it's a physiological need. Eating and drinking tea don't seem to be the sole domain of the family, and it's impossible for sex to exist only within the family and marriage! Therefore, extramarital and premarital sex are rampant in today's society, often disguised as love, attempting to elicit sympathy and understanding.
Physiologically speaking, sex is unrelated to love or family; it's something done when desired, simple and clear. Emotionally, sex and love are indeed inseparable; humans are emotional beings, and having sex with someone you have no feelings for should be a terrible thing! However, love doesn't necessarily guarantee sex, because sex is indeed higher than ordinary emotions. A loving family is one where couples consider each other's perspectives, rather than simply seeking personal pleasure. Moreover, this love is of a very high level; they agree to accept sex only if the other person's happiness is their own.
Imagine if a wife enjoys getting her hair done, and a male hairdresser skillfully manipulates her hair—would the husband object? If a wife enjoys beauty treatments, and a male beautician massages and caresses her face and forehead with smooth fingers—would the husband object? If a husband enjoys drinking and playing drinking games with several women, would the wife object? If a husband is tired and likes a massage or foot reflexology, and a female masseuse does it for him, would his wife object? Most families would accept these things, so why not give him an opportunity when he enjoys sex but you can't provide it? Why confine sex to the home and marriage?
Some say sexual disharmony is the root of all crime, perhaps not, but the inability to fulfill desires is certainly the root of all disharmony. There's a culture of eating, a variety of drinking, and different kinds of sex. So, perhaps prostitution really is a way to solve the bland, passionless lives of many families.
In families where prostitution occurs, the man is tolerant, the woman is tolerant, and families where prostitution is possible are likely stable. I think they don't want to destroy anything, but simply want to give each other a fresher, more exciting experience; love governs their lives! I see nothing dirty or shameful in these families. Perhaps I also have some of those lustful, lewd thoughts?
I'm not advocating anything; I'm just scratching the surface, saying whatever comes to mind without considering the reaction. Maybe I've read too much pornography and become more open-minded; or maybe I'm just a vulgar person pursuing lowbrow tastes. But I feel that as people's understanding of sex deepens, more and more families will be able to accept pornography.
