[Wuxia] The Legend of Condor Heroes: The World's Ruler [Complete] - Chapter 21 (End)

    page views:1  Publication date:2023-03-24
The final chapter marks the end of a myth and the beginning of another.

I opened my eyes to find myself lying in bed, with my three wives looking at me with concern. "Darling, what happened?
You were talking in your sleep and sweating a lot. I couldn't wake you no matter what I did, it scared me to death." Long'er knelt
beside , my head resting on her knees. She wiped my sweat with tears in her eyes, asking with heartache.

I touched my body and found that one of the two dragon eyes on my body was indeed missing. I was amazed by the Japanese woman's
truly , able to amplify human weaknesses infinitely and manipulate them at will. It was truly a murderous
art that came and went without a trace. I couldn't help but feel resentful that she had insulted my beloved wife. If this evil spirit wasn't eliminated soon, wouldn't my lover be trapped in
an endless nightmare? I made a silent resolution and, while downplaying the incident, told my wives what had happened. Chu
Qing and the others were amazed and secretly frightened.

I said, "That woman wanted to outpace me in practicing martial arts, but she didn't expect I had a calming and tranquilizing
treasure . This time, I turned misfortune into blessing, and actually opened up the Yangwei Meridian in one fell swoop." I could clearly feel the changes in my five senses.
Without even using internal inspection, I could feel that the Yangwei Meridian, the convergence point of all Yang meridians, was now open. I now needed to circulate my energy to stabilize my state.

"Then hurry up and circulate your energy. We'll protect you." Qing'er was happy for me that I had finally broken through the most difficult barrier and urged
me to consolidate my state.

I nodded, sat cross-legged, and suddenly remembered something. I said to the three women, "The beads I gave you back then, are they all
on you ?"

"Yes... they are." After hearing my explanation, they were all secretly shocked, but knowing that the ornaments they wore
did have the effect of warding off evil, they all took out the bone beads they wore around their necks to show me.

"Well, then I'm relieved. If I spend too long meditating, you don't need to watch over me. But if I fall asleep and
notice anything particularly strange in my dreams, take out the bone bead and circulate your energy to break through the barriers." I suddenly remembered that I had forgotten
to tell Rong'er, but given her alert and meticulous nature, she should have considered these issues.

"Okay, don't worry." Jie Jie and Long'er retreated to the outer room, while Chu Qing stayed by my side, watching me
gradually sink into a meditative state.

At this moment, my Dao body had reached its peak, and I finally understood what the so-called astral projection was, which was my greatest reliance
in dealing with that Japanese woman. The opening of the eight meridians brought the energy of communicating with heaven and earth. At this moment, I felt myself flying,
soaring between heaven and earth, enjoying the carefree feeling of rising to the ninth heaven. I saw the composition of the world's origin,
a fantastical scene I had witnessed based on my own cultivation experience, like light passing through a prism to separate the seven colors of the spectrum. It wasn't that it didn't exist, but rather that
ordinary people couldn't observe its existence. I must say, my two lifetimes have cultivated in me a scientific and dialectical worldview. Coupled with my
rich life experiences, my heart has reached a state of tranquility. With scientific explanations,
the colorful world before me no longer seems so mysterious.

This state seems to have great potential to be explored, but I am more concerned about how to tap into
the potential . With my three souls returning to their proper places, I examined my internal environment. The displacement of the Qi Hai point in my chest had
been corrected and returned to its original position through the acupuncture prescription given to me by Physician Chen. Thinking of this respectable old man in his sixties, he truly deserves the title
of "miraculous hands and benevolent heart." However, the power of acupuncture and moxibustion is ultimately an acquired remedy and cannot compare to the innate constitution. With a thought, the
somewhat misaligned meridians returned to their correct positions, truly restoring my innate state.

With a deafening "boom," a violent, silent tremor erupted within my dantian.
The immense power that had converged from all my meridians condensed instantly into a hazy, pale white mist, roughly the size of a fist. The sweat on my face had long since dried.
Suddenly, my eyes snapped open, and I coughed up a mouthful of blood, splattering it crimson onto the bed.

"Husband, how are you?" Chu Qing, hearing that I had succeeded, couldn't help but
ask with concern, surprised that it had been so dangerous.

I shook my head, indicating that I was alright, but the idea of forcibly gathering true essence to rebuild my dantian was wrong, so I
reluctantly abandoned the attempt.

I entered meditation again, and the surging spiritual energy of heaven and earth flowed into all my meridians. Mountains, rivers, trees, flowers, and
birds—a large amount of unpolluted innate true spiritual energy surged in, and my mind gradually regained clarity as I comprehended the Way of Nature. At this moment,
only Chu Qing saw the strange sight of three lights flashing above my head, a fleeting glimmer of brilliance.

At this moment, the meridians throughout my body, after several expansions, are as vast as rivers and seas, and my profound internal energy flows endlessly like a surging river,
circulating smoothly along the meridians. However, I am not satisfied with this. Although my cultivation of the Golden Core is only at a rudimentary level,
and I am even somewhat unclear whether my current state is the Daoist pursuit of breaking through the elixir and forming the Nascent Soul, my cultivation is still shallow.
According to rumors, reaching that level often takes one or two hundred years. I do not believe that I can quickly form the Golden Core
and then successfully break through the elixir and form the Nascent Soul in seven or eight years. Secondly, I have no intention of cultivating immortality. A loving wife and children, a warm house and a cozy bed are my pursuits.

A happy smile finally appeared on my serious face. The innate energy in ancient times was indeed abundant. Without modern industry,
the sky and water were always clear. There was no acid rain, no greenhouse effect, no torrent of steel, no
concrete jungle. There was not much material deformation in this era, although a very small amount was brought about by me. My thoughts were in turmoil,
and countless ideas kept trying to lead me astray. Suddenly, a warm and familiar surge of true spiritual
energy rose from my chest, ascending along my newly repaired Dantian (CV17) and enveloping the sea of consciousness in my brain.

A thought struck me. For so many years, I had never had the ability or the opportunity. Furthermore, my education had taught me that
the brain was absolutely the most forbidden area within the realm of cultivation; touching it without thorough preparation would be extremely unwise. Perhaps
this was the opportunity I had been waiting for. Although I had never cultivated, I had indeed
seen . Without much hesitation, I separated a portion of my spiritual consciousness and entered the sea of consciousness enveloped by the Jiaozhu's spiritual energy.

This was a chaotic space like a vast starry sky; wherever my spiritual consciousness reached, it saw reflections like cosmic vortices and
nebulae . I guessed that this was a return to the origin of chaos. After all, the human body is but a drop in the ocean of the infinitely vast starry sea,
a microcosm. I wonder if Rong'er and the others, if they could reach the Great Perfection of the "Hun Tian Bao Jian"—the Mysterious Universe—would also
be able to see the scene before my eyes.

"Heh...you've finally found this place." I suddenly heard a voice, a slight ripple stirring in my heart. I turned around and saw
an old man with a horn on his forehead standing before me. The moment I saw that horn, how could I not know who this person was? I
immediately became fully alert, ready to attack at any moment.

The old man smiled slightly, waving his hand to reveal a spirit in his palm. In my sea of consciousness, there were no boundaries of time or space; I could
clearly see the true spirit bound in his hand—it was none other than my appearance from my past life.

"Don't worry, if I wanted to kill you for revenge, how could you have survived until today?" The old man presented the spirit in his hand to me, demonstrating
his harmless nature. I knew this was true; if it wanted to harm me, it could have done so yesterday while I was cultivating, without
needing to help me through this final hurdle. A sudden inspiration struck me, and I stepped forward, bowing respectfully. "This junior, Yang Guo, has been impolite, destroying your physical
body, senior. I wonder what unfulfilled wishes you have in this mortal world? Perhaps this junior can offer some assistance."

The old man nodded, seemingly pleased with my cooperation, and stroked his beard, saying, "This is a peaceful place for conversation.
Please listen to my words."

A thought struck me. It is said that in the sea of consciousness, the origin is the master of heaven and earth. A thought flashed through my mind, and we found ourselves in a
bright and clean bamboo hut, with a pot of wine on the table. I smiled, picked up the wine pot, and poured wine for both the old man and myself. The old man and I
shared a cup, and he couldn't help but praise, "Excellent wine! Truly, I have never seen anything like it in my life."

I smiled inwardly. How could it not be good? I knew that cultivators all enjoyed this kind of talk, so I
described the most vivid memory I could recall of a thirty-year-old aged Xifeng wine, and sure enough, it worked.

The old man looked around and said, "The favored child of Heaven's True Essence is indeed exceptionally blessed; your aptitude is very high."

I didn't understand what the old man meant by this, and at the same time, I had some reservations. Cultivators believe in cause and effect, and I didn't believe
he would help me for free. I waited for him to continue.

The old man smiled at me with amusement and said, "You must be thinking, why would I repay evil with kindness? You think I have ulterior motives,
right?"

I thought to myself that I wouldn't lie to a true person, so I nodded.

The old man said, "After I explain the whole story to you, you will understand the causal connection."

I nodded again, poured him another cup of wine, and asked him to continue.

The old man took a sip of wine and said with great enjoyment, "My name is Jie Run, and I belong to the Chiwen clan of the Dragon Clan." The old
dragon seemed to like the wine very much. He snatched the wine pot and began to pour and drink by himself. I couldn't help but smile.

After three cups of wine, the old dragon became more talkative: "Your sea of consciousness is quite special. If it were me, I would
have decorated it like a crystal palace, but the scene here is more like the chaotic space beyond the Thirty-Three Heavens. Although it lacks
the primordial chaos and the primordial divine lightning—of course, I've only heard about it secondhand and haven't actually seen it myself…" The old dragon's face flushed slightly, and
his smile revealed his sharp fangs, making him look rather ferocious.

I broke out in a cold sweat. It turned out that all of this was something I had subconsciously arranged, simply projecting a worldview that fit modern people's
preconceived notions .

The old dragon suddenly said to me, "Actually, not only can I not kill you, but I should thank you."

This made me even more confused. I had not only disemboweled him and bled him, but also killed the dragon to take the pearl, and he was actually thanking me?
"May I ask what brings you to this, senior?"

"Although you are my mortal enemy, you are also my destined tribulation, and at the same time, you have resolved
the karma I've accumulated over a thousand years of killing my fellow aquatic beings." Upon hearing this, I understood. He too had a difficult life, unable to leave the Wu King's Sword Tomb, forcing
him to devour his own kind to sustain himself. Cultivators fear accumulating karma most, yet he was surprisingly an honest and kind person. Because of
my guilt and the torment of karma, I managed to extricate him from his predicament. But then I thought, it makes sense. A
half-immortal who has cultivated for fifteen hundred years, and he can't even defeat two mortals? If he hadn't deliberately held back, Rong'er and I would probably be his food long ago
. In that sense, we were truly outmaneuvered by him.

The old dragon continued, "When you and that young girl joined forces to kill me, it actually gave me an epiphany in my moment of self-sacrifice, making me realize
that everything is preordained, and that you were there to help me escape my predicament. So, this physical body of mine is retribution."

I thought to myself, "What goes around comes around; you've calculated it very clearly."

The old dragon continued, counting on his fingers, "That alone wouldn't be so bad, but when you killed me, although it was
in self-defense, you still bore most of my karma. From now on, I'll be burdened by karmic consequences, and I'm afraid I'll have no hope of attaining enlightenment in this life." This old dragon
was quite honest; he himself was afraid of not being able to become an immortal, but he thought everyone wanted to be one.

I shook my head and smiled, "That's alright. I wasn't cut out for cultivating immortality anyway. I just wanted to live a peaceful
life . I'm naturally inclined to violence, but as the saying goes, 'Many lice don't bite, many debts don't bother you.' You don't need
to worry about it."

The old dragon had been with me for quite some time and naturally knew about my past deeds from my consciousness in both my lives. He couldn't help but
sigh slightly, "You are naturally open-minded and easygoing, but unfortunately... it's true what you said. Although you have the spirit of immortality, you lack the destiny for it. What a
pity."

Actually, I also wanted to stay with my beloved wife for over a thousand years. After the old dragon's judgment, I was slightly
disappointed. But then I thought, I've lived two lives, lived them to the fullest, and gained the favor of many beautiful wives. I've already
made a huge profit. Whether I die in a mountain of knives, a cauldron of boiling oil, or a bed of nails, or drink the Meng Po soup and be reborn as a cow or a horse, it doesn't matter
. Anyway, that's a very distant matter.

Seeing the slight confusion in my eyes before they cleared again, the old dragon couldn't help but marvel at how quickly I had let go of my obsessions
. This was perhaps a person's enlightenment, something that could only be envied. "I will teach you the method of merging your two souls. Your damaged
body can be completely repaired."

"Really?" I was overjoyed to hear this.

"However, I have a condition. You must agree to it." The old dragon was again negotiating with me.

I pondered for a moment and said, "Whatever I can do, I will do my best." I couldn't make promises I couldn't keep. If he
forced me to do something immoral, I wouldn't listen to him.

"Don't worry, I've finally escaped the entanglements of karma. I won't encourage you to kill indiscriminately again." Only after he said this did I feel reassured.
"I want you to give this dragon pearl to a disciple of the Celestial Master Sect to revive him."

I was slightly taken aback and asked, "Is it the 34th Celestial Master, Senior Zhang Qing?"

The old dragon nodded slightly and said, "A thousand years ago, I received guidance from the first Celestial Master Zhang, which allowed me to embark on the path of cultivation. Today..."
"This is the time to repay this kindness."

I rose and bowed, saying, "Senior, you are always willing to repay kindness. This magnanimity is truly a model for me to learn from. I will complete the mission entrusted to me by
you ."

The old dragon accepted my bow with a smile and then said, "In that case, I am at ease." He then
explained the method of my two souls merging. Not only did I marvel at what he said, but the old dragon himself also said, "You are a person who has been blessed with great fortune. This method of soul forging
was left behind by Zhang Tianshi, who instructed me to pass it on to a destined person. When I learned that you had actually transcended the Three Realms and not entered the Six Paths, I
knew that you were the destined person that Tianshi spoke of." "

I thought to myself, this is truly a bizarre experience. It seems that reincarnation is better than transmigration. I am indeed different from others, becoming
a variable in the world. In fact, that is exactly the case. My appearance completely reversed the decline of the Chinese nation, driving the Tartars out of the Central
Plains in one fell swoop.

" The old dragon changed his hand seals and uttered extremely difficult-to-understand incantations. I gradually entered a meditative state, feeling my two personalities gradually overlapping.
A playful thought arose in my mind: when someone successfully severs their corpse, they can slap their head and a clone appears, then say to the original body,
"Greetings, fellow Daoist." Then the original body says, "You are me, fellow Daoist, no need for formalities."

After an unknown amount of time, I heard the old dragon's voice say to me, "The soul forging is complete. You have added eight hundred years of
cultivation cultivation. However, as I said, you only have cultivation, not a Dao heart, and no immortal body. You can enjoy worldly glory,
but you must not recklessly enter the path of immortality. Remember, remember!" "Old Dragon waved his hand, banishing me from his sea of consciousness. 'This kid
has a limitless ...' After sending me out of his sea of consciousness, Old Dragon revealed his true form, coiled up, muttered something softly, and slowly closed his eyes
to sleep.

'Senior!' I suddenly woke up, thinking that I hadn't yet asked how to deal with the three Japanese soldiers. With his guidance, I thought I would be more
confident. My shout startled Rong'er, who was guarding beside me.

'You're awake?' Rong'er smiled at me, but a blush crept onto her face, clearly still unable to
let go of last night's dream.

'Baby, you're here.' I tenderly hugged her, kissing her repeatedly and looking at her intently. Rong'er was also
moved by my warmth and affection, and her slightly aggrieved heart gradually calmed down.

'How did you get here so quickly?'" I was slightly surprised. The sun was still high in the sky, clearly midday, and I couldn't help
but wonder how they had arrived so quickly.

"You've been in a meditative state for two days and one night. Yesterday, Sister Yin and I brought them here and stayed with you all night, but you didn't wake up.
I just sent them to take the children to bed." Speaking of her sleep, Rong'er blushed again.

I chuckled inwardly. My beloved wife's shy demeanor made me feel a little itchy. I secretly reached my hands up to her breasts
and began to knead them. I slightly lifted her bodice to check; they were white and tender, without any damage, and I felt relieved.

"Hmm~ Don't be naughty… in broad daylight… um… we're still in the palace." "The matter of Long'er recognizing his ancestors
was explained to Rong'er in detail during our conversation last night, so Rong'er already knows Long'er's true
identity.

I slowed my movements slightly and whispered in Rong'er's ear, 'I'm so afraid of losing you now. That woman Tianzhao actually
guessed my feelings and knew that you are the most precious thing in my heart. She wanted to lead me astray and make me go mad and die. Rong'er, do you
know how scared I am? I love you, no matter what you become, I will love you. This belief has never wavered. But I
don't want this to happen again, I never want it to happen again.' "

Hearing my emotional confession, and my clear and straightforward analysis of my complex feelings, Rong'er once again deeply felt
my deep affection and devotion, knowing that everything I did revolved around her. Tears welled in her eyes as she said, 'I don't want to either. Rong'er was
so scared. Those beasts threatened me, saying that even if I committed suicide, they had ways to make my soul restless forever, and... they
even talked about many heinous punishments...' Rong'er recalled the part where Ren Sanlang said he would skin her alive, and her face
paled .

I, of course, remembered that conversation most vividly; it was the catalyst that drove me to my desperate act, but I didn't say it aloud, pretending not to understand to avoid
embarrassing Rong'er. 'Alright, don't cry, baby... don't be afraid... I'm right here beside you. I'll never leave you
alone again, never again, okay? Don't cry, okay?'" "My darling..." I coaxed
Rong'er until she finally stopped crying and smiled.

"I haven't dared to sleep these past two days. I made the maids wear those bone beads and not let them take them off. It seems... it's had some
effect. At least they haven't had nightmares. Otherwise, if they saw that scene... oh, it would be so embarrassing." Rong'er
said , her face turning bright red. I felt even more love and pity for her and tried to change the subject, saying, "By the way,
I've also turned misfortune into blessing. My innate divine skill has been perfected."

"Really?" Hearing this wonderful news, Rong'er gradually let go of her inferiority complex and asked me with concern,
"How are you? Any changes in your body? Is the injury to your dantian any better?"

I nodded and smiled, "It's all healed. Now I finally have the confidence to fight Amaterasu." "Of course, I didn't reveal the secret of my two
lifetimes . I only told Rong'er about the three acts of retribution and three acts of compensation that Old Dragon Jie Run mentioned. Rong'er was quite surprised to hear it and
gradually became attracted to my story. However, having come into contact with things like spirits, she didn't find it too unbelievable.
"So what should we do now?" Rong'er nestled in my arms and asked me, looking up at me.

"Hmm... let's see where that old man Zhang Keda is..." I pulled Rong'er up, preparing to go find Zhang Tianshi first. He has a very strong
backing . Even if we don't deliberately try to curry favor,
it would be best to ask Old Dragon, who said that one of his beads could revive Zhang Qingxian. It would be best for me to make a good connection with him.

Rong'er also told me that the Divine Eagle was too large for the Lin'an Imperial Palace to accommodate, and it was currently being fostered at the Beggars'
Sect branch . I nodded in agreement. Rong'er and I went out hand in hand. Everyone was overjoyed to see that I was awake. Long'er couldn't help but
rush into my arms and cry, "Husband, you're finally awake." "

Seeing Long'er so agitated, I was a bit confused. Chu Qing told me from the side, and I learned that
news of my injury and unconsciousness had leaked out. Her father, perhaps thinking of taking advantage of my misfortune, actually sent sixteen imperial guards, ostensibly
to check on me. Hearing this, I was furious. 'What the hell! You send imperial guards to check on me while I'm injured? Are you trying to break my
bones ?'

Chu Qing continued, 'That's right, they really thought we were easy to bully. They even dared to lay a hand on us. Jie Jie and I, considering their...
" Because they are my junior sister's servants, I didn't really hurt them. But Long'er's attack was quite severe. She not only crippled their guard leader's martial arts but also
broke the hands of the other two."

I was slightly taken aback, not expecting Long'er to have such a fierce side. Long'er blushed, while Jie Jie and Wu Shuang
chuckled . But the matter didn't end there. The guard leader was none other than the cousin of the most favored Consort Yan. His martial
arts were mediocre; he had only climbed to the position of fourth-rank guard leader through nepotism. To put it bluntly, he was a good-for
-
nothing. However, Long'er's move stirred up a hornet's nest. Consort Yan herself led a group to confront her. "What a thing! She's not even older than me, yet she acts like she's an elder... The things she said were awful, and I slapped her so hard her face was crooked." "Chu Qing
laughed triumphantly.

I was sweating bullets. My bunch of unruly women, and she's on the same level as the Empress Dowager, and you just
hit her like that... I bet the amusement I've had these past two days and one night while I was unconscious has been far more than just these few incidents. I looked at Long'er, who seemed to realize
she'd lost control this time, and gave me an embarrassed smile.

I knew Long'er was upset because I was injured for no reason, and the fact that the Imperial Guards had been mobilized at this time made people even more suspicious about
Zhao Yun's role in this matter. "You've misunderstood your father. He probably didn't know about this at first. The fact that
we haven't been locked up yet means he's already seen through someone deliberately trying to sow discord." "Hearing this, I already knew
what was going on. They instigated Consort Yan to cause trouble for us, making a big fuss and then escalating it all the way to Emperor Lizong. Tianzhao is so cunning
, one conspiracy after another. Instigating a shrew to come to our door—she's even capable of such despicable methods. She's truly a ruthless and
cautious viper. I'm starting to suspect that the previous two bombings were her doing.

" Hearing me say this, Long'er felt a little better, but still asked with some confusion, "It wasn't sent by my father? Then
who wants to harm us? Isn't he the emperor? How come he can't even manage things in the palace?"

I found Long'er's question adorable, and although I felt a little resentful, there was still a hint of pride in her tone. Ah, that's just
the nature of children. I couldn't help but pat her head and said, "The emperor is human too. He has many things to pay attention to, and sometimes
it's understandable that he can't take care of everything. Don't blame him. " "I had no desire to discuss this further with Long'er. Her father wanted to use me against
the Japanese . My greatest wish now is for her to remain pure and serene, untouched by worldly troubles.

Long'er felt better after hearing my words of comfort. After all, our family was together again. With her sisters and me
by her side, she no longer felt lost and confused. She wiped away her tears and nodded at me.

I didn't go directly to see Zhao Yun, but planned to leave the palace to find Zhang Keda. However, as soon as Rong'er and I left the Imperial Garden, we were stopped by the guards with swords
at the gate . "Without His Majesty's order, no one is allowed to enter or leave!"

"What does this mean? Is this a disguised form of house arrest?" I asked with a cold smile instead of anger.

The two guards looked troubled and couldn't help but exchange glances. One of them, quick-witted, bowed and said to me, "Your Highness,
we wouldn't dare, but it's the rule. Please don't make things difficult for us." Rong'er

tugged at my sleeve, signaling me not to kill. I turned back to indicate I was alright, then said, "We do have urgent business
to attend to with the Celestial Master. The princess is still in the palace; do you think I'd just run away?" Hearing this, Rong'er, hiding
behind couldn't help but laugh, lightly pinching my back.

"This… due to palace rules, please forgive me!"

Too lazy to waste words with them, I put my arm around Rong'er's waist, and without any apparent effort, we slowly rose into the air, actually
flying over the three-zhang-high imperial garden wall.

The two guards were dumbfounded, too stunned to intervene or warn us. "Fourth brother, am I seeing a ghost?" After a long while,
the older guard asked.

"Second brother, are they human or ghosts? How did they just float past so easily? Is this some kind of light-body skill?"

"…Our Prince Consort is truly like the legendary… Oh no, quickly report to the Emperor!" "The two then realized their
dereliction of duty , inwardly complaining about their bad luck—having encountered powerful figures they couldn't afford to offend on either side. They nervously
went to report to Emperor Lizong.

Aside from the panicked guards, even Rong'er in my arms found it strange; it was her first time attempting such a flight that defied
the laws . Actually, I simply channeled the energy of heaven and earth into my body, making my entire body like a human hot air balloon,
using the rising air currents to lift us into the air. My internal energy channels regulated the external airflow, achieving forward
propulsion. We continued like this until we were more than thirty feet into the air. Rong'er, looking at the scenery below gradually shrinking, couldn't help but feel a little
afraid, tightly hugging my waist and asking, 'Darling, how did you do that? Don't fly so high…it's making me dizzy
.'

I stabilized my inner energy, preventing further ascent, and chuckled, still holding Rong'er, 'With my beloved wife by my side, of course I feel like I'm floating
!' " "

Glib talker, all sweet talk..." Rong'er chuckled and scolded, but her smile was wide, clearly enjoying it.
Curious, she reached out and touched the clouds beside her, exclaiming in surprise, "Ah...so cool! So this is what clouds are like
."

I smiled as the curious child continued to satisfy her curiosity, inwardly sighing.
What would it feel like to truly reach the realm of cloud-riding, traveling thousands of miles in an instant? It was like what Bodhi Patriarch said to Sun Wukong in Journey to the West: "I
can only be considered to be climbing clouds now, not truly riding clouds..." Although proud of my achievement, only by standing
on one peak can one see another peak whose view was blocked by the first. For the first time, I had
a ... The Imperial City and the Manifestation Palace were only separated by a mountain, so to avoid appearing too shocking, we
landed halfway down the mountain and then went hand in hand to the entrance of the Manifestation Palace. The young Taoist saw me... Upon my arrival, they quickly ushered me inside and served tea, then went to
invite Master Zhang Keda. Soon after, Master Zhang personally came out to greet me. He had only heard that I was in seclusion in the palace, and was surprised that I had come unexpectedly
today .

I introduced Rong'er to him. Master Zhang looked me up and down, his eyes gleaming as if he had seen
a finely carved piece of jade, and he dared to let me gaze at him so intently… Although Rong'er had long heard that the Dragon Tiger Sect
advocated dual cultivation of the sexes, she hadn't expected a grandmaster like Master Zhang Keda to be so unseemly, and she felt a slight
displeasure .

I knew about Master Zhang's flaws, but he was generally a man of integrity, romantic but not vulgar; such a loss of composure…
It was likely due to his recent injury that had damaged his Dao heart. I coughed lightly to remind him that I had important matters to discuss.

Zhang Keda then came to his senses, bowed slightly, and smiled, "This humble Daoist, Jianzhen Wuben, has recently suffered damage to his Dao practice, causing his power to decline
to the Heart Movement stage, resulting in a clouded sense of righteousness. I hope Madam Yang will

not take offense. I will correct this. May I ask what brings you here today?" Rong'er, hearing his frankness, knew he was open-minded and without malice, so she stopped blaming him and inquired about
the origins of Amaterasu and the others.

I actually knew the answer myself, but I waited for Zhang Keda to explain: "Amaterasu is a cultivator from Japan,
but it's actually just a title. Similarly, her two subordinates, Tsukidō and Susanō, are the same." I
then realized that they were merely inheritors of titles and not actually ancient monsters who had lived for hundreds of years.

“Although I don’t know which generation they are, according to the secret scrolls of our sect, their sect has
a secret method similar to the Initiation Technique, which allows them to inherit most of their power from previous masters, so…” Zhang Keda said with difficulty, “The depth of
their power is indeed beyond the reach of ordinary people.”

I frowned, thinking that this was indeed a troublesome matter. Wasn’t this not
much different from an old monster who had lived for hundreds of years? Rong’er asked with some confusion, “Since the Celestial Master has records of this, is there a way to break it?”

Zhang Keda pondered for a moment and said, “The Initiation Technique is actually a low-level technique. It does not help with the cultivation of one’s Dao and mental state.
Our sect has never advocated it, so we have not studied it in depth.”

I sighed inwardly, thinking: What you said is as good as nothing. But I finally understand why Amaterasu, Tsukidō, and Susanō
were revered as the three gods of the sun, moon, and stars by the Japanese devils. With such a powerful inheritance, they are indeed not something that ordinary people can contend with.
Suddenly continued, "My wife and I have come today on someone's behalf to deliver something."
With that, I took out Jie Run's left eye dragon pearl from the jade box and presented it, box and all, to Zhang Keda.

Zhang Keda, being a connoisseur, immediately noticed the pearl's unusual quality. He carefully took it, examined it
closely asked in a trembling voice, "This...this is a dragon pearl?"

I nodded, exchanged a glance with Rong'er, and felt a pang of emotion: It's said that rare treasures are only obtained by those with the right fate. The Dragon Tiger Sect, established
for a thousand years, has never possessed such a thing, demonstrating its immense value. "This item was given to me in a dream by the Flood Dragon Jie Run, who asked me to entrust it to you ,
sir, as a way of repaying the kindness of the first Celestial Master Zhang."

"That's wonderful! Senior Brother is saved! Thank you!" Zhang Keda didn't stand on ceremony and quickly thanked me, putting the pearl away. Rong'er felt a slight
displeasure, thinking that he took the gift without a word of thanks, and that was it. Logically, Zhang Qingxian was under
a curse, his soul scattered, and despite numerous treatments, the doctors were helpless. If we hadn't been there, her senior brother Zhang Keda
would surely be dead. Rong'er couldn't help but maliciously speculate that Zhang Keda didn't want to save his senior brother but wanted to keep
the dragon pearl for himself.

Sensing something, I turned back and smiled at her, gently squeezing her soft, boneless hand to signal her to be quiet. Rong'er,
blocked by me, playfully stuck out her tongue at me. If we weren't in the Manifestation Palace, I was afraid I would have been unable to resist hugging and
kissing .

"Master, is there anything else we can do to help?" Actually, I intended to leave and show Rong'er the surrounding
scenery, but out of politeness, I asked again.

"Yes, this matter requires your help." Zhang Keda didn't stand on ceremony, nodding and gesturing for us to follow him. Zhang Keda
led my wife and me through the halls and courtyards, out of the magnificent palace complex of Xianling Palace, and into their sect's
important territory through a cave in the back mountain.

Zhang Qingxian's body was relatively well-preserved; he was currently placed in a jade coffin, presumably
a precious artifact for stabilizing his appearance and calming his soul. The sheer size of the jade alone suggested its rarity. Under the sunlight streaming down from the cave ceiling, the jade surface emanated a chilling
aura, strikingly similar to the cold jade bed in the Tomb of the Living Dead.

Zhang Keda placed a jade box containing dragon eyes in front of the jade coffin. Then he said to me, "Nephew, this place is
the lifeblood and central hub of my Dragon Tiger Sect—" "Dragon Roar and Tiger Howl Palace." "

I've always heard that Dragon Tiger Mountain possesses the spiritual energy of dragons and tigers. Seeing it today, I can see that this Dragon Roar and Tiger Howl Palace is indeed a spiritual vein for nurturing energy.
I can feel the abundant spiritual energy here, so different from the outside world, nourishing my body. I can't help but exclaim, 'It truly is
a blessed land of immortals! I never noticed it before, but now I understand that the concept of true spiritual veins is indeed a profound subject!'"

Zhang Keda nodded and said, "My senior brother originally predicted that he was destined for this calamity, so he asked us to take good
care . Right now, his three souls and seven spirits are still entrenched in the palace." He suddenly looked at me with some difficulty... He said, "Summoning a soul to bring it back to life
is truly an act against the heavens. Therefore, I beg you to sit here and use the true dragon energy within you to help me suppress the fate."

I was dumbfounded upon hearing this and couldn't help but ask, "True dragon energy? Fate?"

Zhang Keda nodded slightly and said, "You are indeed the body of a true dragon. The previous suggestion to His Majesty to make you the crown prince was also my
opinion."

Rong'er and I looked at each other. I thought to myself, what kind of true dragon protection do I have? Counting from my grandfather Yang Tiexin, for several lifetimes, we were either bandits in
Liangshan Marsh farmers in the countryside. Even in my previous life, my family had been poor farmers for eight generations. Where would I get any dragon energy? However,
I swept across the eight wastelands and cleansed the universe in just a few years. Perhaps this is the so-called proof of a rising star descending to earth in Zhang Tianshi's eyes?
But , this may fool the ignorant masses, but it's not that easy to fool me. "Master, Senior Jie Run told me that
when I helped him shed his mortal body, although I helped him transcend worldly suffering, I also bore the consequences of his karma. He said I was too ruthless in my killing, burdened by karmic retribution,
and feared I would have no hope of attaining enlightenment in this life. I wonder if this will have a negative impact on Master Guan Miao?" I suddenly thought of the two
predecessors who slew snakes. Liu Bang started his rebellion by slaying a white snake on Mount Mangdang. Although he established the Han dynasty for four hundred years, he died young, and
later Wang Mang usurped the throne, splitting the Han dynasty in two. Marshal Yue also slew a snake, whose spirit transformed into a spear named "Li Quan." Although
Marshal wandered for decades, he ultimately did not have a good end, presumably because he had slew a spirit and suffered divine retribution. However, the more I thought about it,
the more afraid I became of not having a good end myself. In general, my merits and demerits might be comparable to those of the two predecessors. Although I am
wholeheartedly devoted to my country, it is said that Heaven is impartial. I fear that, according to Heaven's judgment, everything I have done is not merit, but sin.

"This..." Zhang Keda had ulterior motives to begin with, and the karmic consequences of such a thing would naturally fall on me. He didn't tell me beforehand, and
frankly, it wasn't very ethical of him. Since I knew all about the shady dealings involved, he simply admitted it outright, "It was my oversight."
However, this is a last resort, the only way to save my senior brother... Of course, our sect also has
a way to remedy the loss of fortune caused by this.

Rong'er sensed the hidden meaning in our words, and hearing the old Taoist's idea of sacrificing his friend to save himself, she couldn't help but frown and
tried to drag me away. I waved my hand slightly and said, "Actually, I'm quite lazy. I only ask for good health, a harmonious family, and
to live a peaceful life with my wife and children for a few decades. As for the talk of fortune, I don't care."

Zhang Ke naturally knew that I had clearly rejected Emperor Lizong's proposal regarding the succession. Now that he heard I was willing to help,
he was overjoyed. "I won't thank you for your great kindness, but my Heavenly Master Palace will remember this favor." "

Even someone as carefree as me is moved by a promise from the Daoist sect. The facts clearly
tell me that the two Celestial Masters of the Dragon Tiger Sect are the ones who can influence Zhao Yun's final decision. Zhang Keda has already seen
the trend of the world. Even without this karmic debt to me, for the sake of the Dragon Tiger Sect's development, he will inevitably gradually lean towards me. Otherwise,
he wouldn't have persuaded Zhao Yun to pass the throne to me. But unfortunately, a lifetime of wealth and glory is not what I seek. I have better
suggestions for him, but these can only be discussed after I have helped them."

After understanding Zhang Qingxian's current situation, Zhang Keda invited Rong'er and me to stay at the temple, while he led the Taoist priests, young and old, to build the altar
. I dragged a young Taoist priest to the palace to send a message, asking Third Sister to bring her maids here. Taoist spiritual veins always have a restraining effect on
evil spirits and heretics ; at least it's much better than the imperial palace, the most gloomy and resentful place in the world.
At least here there are Taoist priests who can capture ghosts and summon spirits, although they are not even able to protect themselves… Since my wives at home
haven't arrived yet, I took Rong'er to sit by the Phoenix Pond in Shanyin. Suddenly, I was inspired and drew my sword,
carving ten characters on a large rock nearby: "Sincerely cultivate a sword, without you, I cannot become an immortal."

Rong'er was delighted and nestled against me as we sat by the lake. "Ah, Little West Lake, Fuqing Spring, and Phoenix
Pond… truly, it's like the saying, 'The beloved is on the other side of the water.' Rong'er, tell me, wouldn't it be wonderful if we really became emperors?" " At least
I can live in such a big house." I laughed, putting my arm around Rong'er's fragrant shoulder.

Rong'er knew that my decision to retire was out of necessity, and that after I regained my strength, my ambition had
returned . She asked me with a half-smile, "What? Still can't let go of the people of the world? Didn't we agree...
that you'd only stay with me from now on?" As Rong'er spoke, she leaned seductively into my arms, the fragrance of her hair and body filling my nostrils, making
me forget all my troubles and let go of all my ambitions. I just wanted to spend my life with her like this.

"Hehe... no way, they were begging and crying, but I didn't agree. Let them play by themselves. Whoever wants to fight for it can
fight for it. I still don't see what's so great about that damn seat." "My husband... I always feel like there's not enough time, I always want to
spend more time by your side, how could I have time to care about the world..." I chuckled, gently swaying Rong'er as I spoke.

Rong'er was naturally happy to hear me say this, but she deliberately said, "In the end, isn't it just that you're lazy... and you
're shifting the blame onto others? I'm afraid that a hundred years from now, writers will portray her as a bewitching enchantress who seduced a king."

"Tch, what do they know? This is called loving the country more than the beauty." "I laughed heartily. Rong'er and I are not allowed to live in harmony?
So what? Who dares to stand up and point their finger at me, calling me a beast in human clothing? The scholars in the south have all received instructions from above and
are busy whitewashing me. Not only has Zhang Tianshi of the Dragon Tiger Sect passed down talismans, hinting at my ascension to the throne and paving the way for me, but those with higher political
awareness have already begun to pull strings for me. In addition, it is said that my father-in-law, the emperor,
has instructed the Grand Secretary Zhu Kewu to personally write my biography during the days I was unconscious. Perhaps my current disheveled image suits
the tastes of these scoundrels? In any case, Zhu Kewu agreed very readily.

"Tired?" "Rong'er noticed my low spirits and realized her joke had gone a bit too far
. She knew my personality best, that I hated anything related to politics. No wonder they always teased me, saying I'd rather face
thousands of Mongols with swords and guns than a dozen cabinet members. The reason was simple: if the Mongols disagreed, they'd just
kill ; these poor, pedantic scholars, you couldn't hit them, you couldn't scold them—the whole country depended on them, but behind the scenes,
they were all shrewdly calculating.

"I admit, the art of imperial power is a good thing—you can win one faction over another, there need to be checks and balances—but I'm not good at it.
It's my personality. So I can only be a enforcer of violence, not a national leader on the surface. I'm
aware of ." "I took Rong'er's hand and kissed it on the lips.

Rong'er gently nudged me, reminding me not to be too presumptuous. "This is a Taoist sanctuary, so be careful with your hands..."

I couldn't help but recall the first time I went up the mountain and saw Zhang Keda doing that kind of thing, and I couldn't help but laugh and say, "The Dragon Tiger Sect emphasizes the dual cultivation
of body and mind . These flowery Taoist masters aren't afraid of getting styes from looking at them; they practice it themselves." Rong'er

then remembered that, according to different doctrines, these Taoist priests did indeed live a more carefree life than the old monks of Chongyang Palace, and couldn't help
but chuckle slightly. Suddenly, Rong'er noticed that the smile on my face faded. Although she didn't realize anything was wrong, she understood that
something was amiss.

"Rong'er..." I tugged at her, signaling her to stand behind me. Seeing my serious expression, Rong'er knew that
someone difficult to deal with had arrived, and obediently stepped behind me. Just as we stood up, a whirlwind rose from the ground,
and upon landing, stood a rather flamboyant and handsome young man. However, his hair was dark blue, and his clothing was quite unconventional
; he was none other than Susanoo, the third brother of Amaterasu.

To be fair, he was a handsome young man with a sunny smile, but when his gaze turned to Rong'er, that
smile became lewd, like a viper baring its fangs at its prey. Because of this,
any good impression I had of him vanished almost instantly.

"Yang Guo?" "

Little devil?"

Susanoo was clearly taken aback, a flash of anger crossing his eyes. However, he quickly put on a nonchalant laugh and said,
"That's right, I am indeed the son of a demon."

I put my arm around Rong'er's shoulder and laughed, "Giving up being a decent human being to become a demon? A demon is a demon, Rong'er,
don't you think that kind of person is incredibly stupid?"

Rong'er's arms were wrapped around my waist. Of course, she could also see that the young man from the foreign race opposite her had ill intentions towards her, so she didn't care at all.
I looked at him, his eyes fixed solely on my face, a slight smile playing on his lips as he nodded.

That charming, focused expression was reserved only for me, fueling Susanoo's insatiable jealousy. "Enough with the nonsense.
Hand over the Dragon Balls and this woman obediently, and I'll spare your life today."

His gentlemanly act was poorly executed, and his pretense crumbled under any test; he ripped off his own facade. I
coldly stared at him and said, "What else? Kill me?"

Susanoo's threat was direct, his smile utterly disdainful, as if he held the
power . "I won't kill you for now, at least not until my sister's had her fill of playing with you," Susanoo
said, shaking his head seriously.

I laughed, "But I have no such reservations..." With that, I released Rong'er's shoulder, ready to
test this kid's mettle, to see if his skills matched his thick skin. Rong'er suddenly grabbed my hand and
whispered , "Let me do it. It'll be good for me to check on the progress

of the Hun Tian Bao Jian." Rong'er waited expectantly for my agreement. I knew her power had increased significantly in recent years, and she was undoubtedly eager to try. Anyway, with me by her side,
even if Rong'er couldn't handle it, I would be there to catch her. So I nodded and said, "Go ahead, just be careful..." I glared at
Susanoo and said.

Rong'er nodded in agreement and slowly approached. A cunning glint flashed in Susanoo's eyes. He hadn't expected to get her so
easily. If he could capture this beauty... Susanoo said, "Don't worry, I definitely won't
hurt this little beauty."

His smile was extremely lewd, like a venomous snake eyeing its prey, waiting to devour its meal. Those eyes made me
increasingly nauseous. Rong'er's expression turned serious. She drew her Purple Star Sword from her waist and said, "Boy, I advise you to watch
your mouth . Also, draw your sword, or you'll die a horrible death."

"Very good, you certainly have character. Little beauty, I'm really growing to like you more and more. Also, I'm 320 years old this year,
not some boy." Susanoo, a powerful figure with a capricious nature, couldn't tolerate such ridicule. He drew
his broadsword and slung it over his shoulder.

"Ridiculous. Do you people on that island consider a month a year?" Rong'er, with her rich combat experience, was unaffected
by Susanoo's sudden outburst of true energy. She maintained a calm demeanor, looking directly into her enemy's eyes. Her clear, watery
eyes seemed to see through any trickery.

Susanoo, seeing that his usual tactic of subduing without fighting had failed and that he had been mercilessly ridiculed by Rong'er, felt his momentum
diminish by three points. In terms of combat experience, he wasn't as experienced as
Rong'er . He forced himself to remain calm, ensuring he wouldn't completely lose ground. He
kept an eye on Rong'er while also watching my movements. I kept my eyes on Susanoo, setting up an aura against him to
ensure I could intervene at a crucial moment to stop him from harming Rong'er, and also calmly assess her progress.

Susanoo then realized the situation was spiraling out of his control. He suddenly felt a
surge of pressure around him; if he didn't act soon, I would seize his mind. Without thinking, he roared, his greatsword
slashing . His swordsmanship was fluid and powerful, like a thunderbolt, simple yet carrying the merciless
pressure of heaven and earth, chilling anyone who witnessed a cataclysmic event.

Rong'er smiled slightly. We were progressing together; she was already familiar with my "Surprising Strike" technique, so she wasn't
intimidated by his preemptive strike. Rong'er was only slightly surprised and began to mentally assess Susanoo's strength. She
turned back and smiled slightly at me, using the Lingbo Weibu (a martial arts technique) to seemingly effortlessly dodge his seemingly inevitable sword strike.

Susanoo, seeing Rong'er's every smile and gesture, was momentarily stunned, as if struck by lightning. Rong'er's breathtaking beauty made him forget
the thirty-six follow-up moves and seventy-two variations of his sword technique; he simply stared blankly at Rong'er's smiling face.

Seeing his rudeness, Rong'er was even more enraged. Ever since she had been mentally insulted, she deeply loathed
these Japanese devils, and Susanoo's gaze reminded her of those men. Rong'er was truly furious, and her attack naturally intensified.
Her newly mastered technique, "Azure Waves Across a Thousand Layers," surged forth with countless sword energies like a tidal wave, accompanied by the trembling of the Ziwei Sword, heading straight for Susanoo. Susanoo was

taken aback. He hadn't expected that this woman, who looked as delicate as a fairy in a painting, possessed such profound skill. He
quickly abandoned his initial desire to get close and play with her, activating his full protective aura to firmly guard a ten-foot radius around him, unaffected by the shockwave.

Rong'er used seventy percent of her power, yet Susanoo moved with effortless ease, causing him to frown inwardly, somewhat
admiring her skill. However, Rong'er constantly shifted her position, circling Susanoo and channeling her sword energy, trying to find
an opening in his defense to exploit. The phrase "a thousand waves upon a thousand waves" refers to Rong'er's understanding of the towering waves of the ocean. Born
on Peach Blossom Island, she was no stranger to the tides. Now, her sword strikes collided and overlapped in a series of interconnected movements, like waves crashing against each other. With her extremely
skillful sword control, combined with the seventh level of the Hun Tian Bao Jian (a powerful martial arts technique), the battle circle instantly resembled a raging flood,
blotting out the sky ; or like a thousand giant waves, endlessly surging towards Susanoo from all directions.

Watching from the sidelines, seeing the waves crashing in all directions, I couldn't help but secretly admire my wife's strong comprehension ability. She had actually
created such a powerful and surging technique on her own, knowing that she had truly integrated the Dugu Nine Swords and the Hun Tian Bao Jian.
I couldn't although Susanoo remained calm, the serious expression on his face told me that he had begun to seriously
consider how to defeat his enemy.

Surrounded by towering waves, Susanoo, true to his self-proclaimed god status,
abruptly , switching from defense to offense and engaging Rong'er in a direct clash. His swordsmanship, however, was like a whirlwind, maintaining its
simple, direct, and effective killing style. A deafening roar filled the arena, as if a whirlwind had scattered Rong'er's carefully constructed offensive,
forcing the sword intent of the Thousand Waves to a halt.

While Susanoo's swift swordsmanship was impressive, it was utterly insignificant in my eyes. I could already discern
the difference in our cultivation levels; this swordsmanship clearly told me he was merely a mid-stage Innate Realm expert. It seemed the three siblings relied on
nothing more than some strange and unusual techniques. At least, I was confident I could kill Susanoo quickly, and even defeating Leng Bingbing
wouldn't be difficult.

However, what pleased me most was Rong'er's progress. She had been cultivating the Hun Tian Bao Jian for three years, yet she could still match Susanoo's...
The fact that Susanoo and Rong'er were evenly matched showed that Rong'er had truly grown into a top-tier master. However, her training time was still relatively
short, and she was still unable to contend with Susanoo's profound skill. The final sword energy of "Thousand Waves" dissipated, signaling the end of their first
encounter , with Rong'er temporarily suppressed. Rong'er had no choice but to temporarily evade his attacks, relying on her Lingbo Weibu (a martial arts technique) to avoid Susanoo's deadly moves.

Although Rong'er's sword stance was broken, she was not discouraged. She changed her tactics, abandoning the energy-consuming sword net
attack and focusing on using the "Qi-breaking" technique of the Dugu Nine Swords to find weaknesses in Susanoo's defense. I nodded in satisfaction at her
quick reflexes, but then I couldn't help but shake my head and smile. Who was Rong'er? My mentor! It seemed as if I was now putting the cart before the horse, as if I were
examining my own disciple's skill.

Susanoo, seizing the opportunity, pressed forward relentlessly. He seemed to sense my threat and intended
to use Rong'er to blackmail me, so his attacks became increasingly fierce, no longer as playful as before.

Rong'er remained calm and composed; as the saying goes, concern can cloud judgment, and I, watching from the sidelines, was probably more anxious than she was. However,
I had to admit that Rong'er's seven years of honing her skills, coupled with the composure honed through years of battlefield experience, had completely
transformed her into a true powerhouse, a powerhouse I rarely saw. Once she entered combat mode, her focus
was no less than any of the Five Greats I knew.

"Chirp!" Susanoo used his sword to slice open a piece of Rong'er's clothing, revealing a smug grin.

My heart, which had just begun to relax, clenched again, and I was about to intervene to stop this seemingly hopeless battle. Unexpectedly,
Rong'er suddenly twisted and stepped back, sheathing her sword at her waist, her entire body suddenly radiating golden light. It turned out she had broken through the seventh
level of the Hun Tian Bao Jian's mental cultivation method and entered the eighth level, "Golden Dawn." "A thousand feet of dawn, shimmering gold!" With the opening move of Golden Dawn, Rong'er's
entire aura shifted.

"No!" I saw Rong'er's slender, jade-like fingers directly collide with Susanoo's evil sword, Heavenly Cloud.
Terrified ignored Rong'er's objections and swung my battle sword to block all of Susanoo's attacks.

"Don't mess around... I was having fun." Rong'er suddenly appeared between us like a ghost, but her
right hand's two fingers had already clamped down on Heavenly Cloud... Rong'er gave me a reassuring look, indicating she'd explain later.
Seeing the joy on Rong'er's face, I knew she had finally found a worthy opponent to prove her strength, so I turned and withdrew
from . Susanoo finally realized he was just a hamster being toyed with, while Yang Guo, lurking outside the battle circle, had
treated him like a cat. This undoubtedly stung his proud heart. Although, in my opinion, his pride was utterly baseless, as
one of the strongest in the island nation, as a legend of Japanese martial arts, he would never allow himself to be looked down upon.

Susanoo retreated several steps, simultaneously sheathing his sword. I recognized it as the sword-drawing technique of later Japanese Iaido. I wanted to warn
Rong'er, but she was already on high alert, so I didn't speak to distract her. "Golden Winged King Sword!" Susanoo shouted
, unleashing the Heavenly Cloud Sword. His true energy surged, creating a blade of air that could almost sever the airflow. What does severing the airflow mean? It
means that his sword-wielding speed had broken the speed of sound. Rong'er leaped high into the air, striking Susanoo
's sword from the side with her palm. The impact made the sword in his hand tremble, but it didn't break. Susanoo's Heavenly Cloud Sword is
the finest sword in Japan, renowned for its perfect balance of strength and flexibility. Rong'er knew this sword was extraordinary and dared not
confront its sharpness head-on. Instead, she used her outward-flowing sword energy and elusive movements to counter Susanoo's fierce and ruthless swordsmanship.

For a time, sword energy crisscrossed, and the two fought a spectacular battle. Rong'er's protective aura radiated golden light, making her appear like a celestial
goddess descending to earth. Her sword-finger gestures were precise and skillful, employing the superior
techniques . Her outward-flowing sword energy was incomparably sharp, its intensity surpassing even Yin'er's third-grade One-Finger Divine Skill. Rong'er's "
Dawn Sword Energy" attacks were sharp, and with Susanoo being an excellent opponent, the full power of her swordsmanship was unleashed
. The Golden Dawn's power was displayed to its fullest extent, and Susanoo grew increasingly agitated, his defeat becoming increasingly apparent.

Watching from the sidelines, I was naturally overjoyed. Then, Susanoo let out a strange cry of "Ah!" as he was struck in the left shoulder.
Rong'er's Golden Dawn sword energy entered his body, but with an explosive effect, the energy scattering throughout his body, and a spray of blood immediately erupted from Susanoo's shoulder.

"Impossible, this is impossible..." Susanoo clutched his shoulder, kneeling on one knee, stunned and speechless. He
was once one of the world's top masters. His most glorious achievement was decades ago, when he
dismembered Du Dongming, the number one Goryeo swordsman, in three moves. He had dominated the East Sea for fifty years without encountering an opponent, yet today he had been defeated in the Central Plains, completely overwhelmed by the endless stream of strange moves from a
delicate young woman. I didn't know what he was thinking, otherwise I would have told him
that his narrow-minded, limited perspective would never make him a true strongman. His long-term arrogance and pride had
gradually had long since lost the will to compete for supremacy.

Just as Rong'er was about to step forward and subdue him, I grabbed her hand and said, "I'll provide support from the side. Tianzhao certainly won't
let her younger brother barge in so recklessly." I glanced sideways at the open space opposite, where space seemed to warp,
and a man and a woman emerged from a black hole. Judging from their appearance, the two truly seemed like otherworldly figures. The woman wore a magnificent palace dress;
her face was oval yet full, with a full nose and small mouth, her features were well-proportioned, and she had a slender figure. Her dress flowed, adorned with tassels and jingling ornaments,
clearly displaying the demeanor of a noblewoman. The man beside her, though nearly seven feet tall, was extremely robust, and clad in black armor,
making him appear as a formidable character at first glance.

Rong'er was startled by their sudden and shocking entrance, and nervously gripped my hand. I wasn't fooled
. Based on my past experiences with Japanese ninjutsu, I immediately recognized it as a
sophisticated illusion. While it looked impressive, once I understood its principle, it was utterly worthless.

Seeing my calm demeanor, and with Amaterasu noticing my unwavering composure, the two were slightly disappointed.
They had clearly intended to intimidate me, but they had underestimated me.

"This move is quite beautiful, reminding me of your ninja's Waterfall Shadow Technique. However, it's obvious that your mastery of this technique
is unparalleled; it must be this person's doing," I said, pointing at Tsukidome.

Tsukidome was shocked and furious that I had so readily identified the origin of his most prized technique, but he maintained his composure...
Better than Susanoo, he didn't outwardly show any surprise, but his rapidly beating heart betrayed his true feelings.

"Tsuki-rou, I told you long ago that such a minor skill wouldn't be worthy of a master's attention. Now, do you believe me?" Amaterasu
laughed , rescuing Tsuki-dō from the predicament. Tsuki-dō looked sullen, clearly unhappy to hear Amaterasu praise me.

"General Yang, hello." Amaterasu didn't seem to mind and greeted me amicably.

"Amaterasu, hello." I retorted sharply, not giving an inch. Tsuki-dō and Susanoo
were clearly displeased with my address to their goddess and glared at me angrily.

Amaterasu calmed her two agitated brothers, then glanced at Rong'er and said with a half-smile, "Madam Yang,
hello , we've met before."

Upon hearing this, both Rong'er and I felt a surge of anger. Rong'er already knew that this was the one who had humiliated her in her dream, and I,
too, glared angrily. Seeing my agitation, Amaterasu knew she hadn't lost her biggest bargaining chip against me, yet
she maintained her calm smile, as if everything was under her control.

Our spiritual energy clashed briefly before separating, neither of us gaining a clear advantage. Amaterasu smiled sweetly and said, "This is your
god's temple. I won't kill anyone here. Let's end it here for today. I suppose we'll have a chance to meet again next time." With that,
Amaterasu gestured for Tsukidō to help Susanoo up, and the three of them turned and left.

"Arrogant," I snorted coldly, but I didn't chase after them. Just as Amaterasu said, there would be another
chance . At this moment, I was more worried about San Niang and the others who were coming from the north. Although Amaterasu and the others were heading east, given her ruthless
methods, I was still worried that she might harm my wives, so I went north with Rong'er to meet them.

"Well... you broke through to the Indigo Ocean without telling me? Do you still consider me the head of the family?" I said, feigning anger.

"Hehe... Alright, don't be angry. Palace Master Leng said she has high hopes for Jie Jie's progress, but she's
very sensitive about things. I'm afraid that saying it will only burden her." I agree with Rong'er's words. Jie Jie has always been
rather insecure. It's only her talent in martial arts that makes her feel happy when she feels she can help me.
If her proudest achievement is surpassed, she'll probably start overthinking.

"That's true, but you don't have to hide it from me, do you? Besides, my Rong'er's skill is already profound. It's only expected that she's ahead
..." I quickly changed the subject, afraid of stirring up unpleasant memories for Rong'er.

"You... you look so old-fashioned. You were just criticizing her. Have you forgotten? She's your
master." Rong'er turned around, gently pressing her thumbs on my forehead to smooth my slightly furrowed brows.

“Sigh… Protecting one’s lover is human nature, and concern can lead to confusion… I’ve been acting all old-fashioned
for a long time…” Rong’er’s caring and affectionate actions brought a knowing smile to my face. I held my wife’s hand and
kissed it repeatedly, saying, “Don’t you like me like this?”

We used to have no secrets between us, but now we have that dream, that taboo topic. Rong'er understood that I
had changed my tone earlier, leaving half a sentence unsaid. She was still hesitant about whether to confide her troubles to me,
otherwise this matter would remain a thorn in our side. "Husband..."

"Hmm?"

The words were still hard to say, and Rong'er hesitated. "How could I not like it... With my good husband
spoiling me , Rong'er feels like she's really living again. I even feel... those wasted years have made me a little numb.
Only when you're by my side... will we always live happily together. Ten years later, twenty years later, you won't change
, right?" Rong'er wrapped her arms around my waist and snuggled tightly in my arms as she asked me.

“Silly boy, twenty years isn’t enough… I want to stay with you until we grow old, but I always feel like there’s not enough time.
I wish I could count the days, making every second count.” I knew Rong’er had concerns. She was afraid I couldn’t accept
that she had been raped. Even though the scene was absurd, it was a thorn in our hearts. If we didn’t
communicate in time, I was afraid an irreparable rift would form between us. “Rong’er… I have something to tell you.”

“Hmm? What is it?”

“Actually, in that dream… I saw and heard everything…” Rong’er’s body trembled slightly. Clearly, she hadn’t expected things
to develop in the worst possible way.

“Then… will you be angry? You must be angry… And, you’re disgusted with me, aren’t you?” Rong’er’s eyes were filled with tears
. She thought I would keep this to myself, but she didn’t expect me to be unable to bear it for even three days. Although we shouldn't have secrets between us
, once we've truly opened up to each other, it's impossible to say there won't be any lingering resentment
. Like now, Rong'er felt utterly ashamed and humiliated.

"Nothing's wrong, absolutely not! I heard every word of your conversation. You're so strong, you
never gave in… What I'm saying is, if something like that really happened… oh, no… I mean…" Seeing Rong'er
cry, I anxiously tried to comfort her, but in my haste, even I, who am not known for my eloquence, didn't know what to say
. "I mean, I don't care if you've been bullied or even forgotten me, I just want you to be okay, don't make things difficult
for yourself , and always think of yourself first…" Although the words were somewhat blunt, they came from my heart. I didn't want Rong'er to carry
this burden forever.

"If you were in the same situation, wouldn't you think of yourself first?" Rong'er gradually stopped crying, sobbing
softly as she gently pulled away from my embrace, leaving a fist's distance between us. "I hate myself for being useless. You stood up to protect me when you were at your
weakest , but I let them bully me..." Deep down, Rong'er still
felt ashamed that her heart had been on the verge of transgression.

"Silly girl, men and women are different. What could they do to me, a silly old man? You are the most precious
, my most treasured lover... Whether you admit it or not, men and women are inherently different. Women are more vulnerable in
difficult situations , and that will never change... So, I won't allow you to overthink this anymore." I
wiped Rong'er's red eyes and gently kissed her forehead, saying, "Am I being domineering?"

"Yes... that kind of domineering... but very reliable." Rong'er returned to my embrace, smiling, a
peaceful .

"I'm saying this for the last time today, I'll never mention it again..."

"Mmm..."

"My heart aches so much... but since it's already happened, we have to face it together and get through this difficult
time together... After saying all this, I just want to say that I won't despise you because of this, I'll only cherish and love you even more. We are
lovers of one heart and one mind, so... don't keep everything bottled up inside anymore. If we share it together, it won't be so agonizing."
I looked into Rong'er's tender eyes and conveyed my unwavering belief to her.

"Guo'er..." Rong'er was overjoyed. It was the first time she had seen such a tolerant and gentle side of me. Her heart
was overflowing with emotion, and all her words were lost in the silence of the world. Only Rong'er and I stood together, embracing in the pine forest.
"If we ever quarrel in the future, you're not allowed to mention this."

"I won't..."

"Also, you're not allowed to talk about this in private either."

"I won't..." Heaven knows if I can keep these promises, but to make Rong'er happy, I agreed to them all.

We waited by the mountain path for a while, and saw Third Sister and the others approaching from afar. We went up to ask them what had
happened, and Rong'er and I were relieved to learn that their journey had been uneventful . We entered the Manifestation Palace together. The young Taoist Qingqiu had already arranged meditation rooms for us;
I was only there to keep an eye on everyone. However, the young Taoist, having been exposed to the world, was remarkably precocious, giving me a look that seemed to say, "Are you sure you can
handle this? I saw this and felt extremely annoyed.

Although the Taoists of the Dragon Tiger Sect were open-minded, they still had to hold a large ceremony, so we obediently
fasted . This day was the Jia Yin day, the day Zhang Keda offered incense, set up an altar, and summoned the soul.

Inside the Dragon Roar and Tiger Howl Palace, everyone else was kept away, except for the forty-nine Taoist boys silently reciting the Yellow Court Classic by the altar. Soon after, Zhang Keda finished
bathing , fasted, and entered the room, sitting upright. He used a vermilion brush to dot the lower left eye of the corpse and a realgar brush to dot the lower right nostril, causing a small portion of the corpse to disappear into the valley.
After finishing the ritual, he knocked his teeth three times and prayed: "The two lights fly and entwine, the vermilion and yellow smoke disperse
, the qi absorbs the evil spirits, the corpse's filth sinks and vanishes, harmonize the soul and refine the spirit, unite the form and the great god, grant me immortality, eternal life, clear vision, and lasting prosperity and good fortune." He then knocked his teeth three more times, swallowed saliva three times, and pinched
the area under Zhang Qingxian's left eye with his right finger, and then pinched the area under his right nostril with his left hand, seven times each. According to the Taoist method of summoning the soul, these two places are
the gateways for the seven spirits to wander through the corpse, the bridge for demons and evil spirits. Therefore, they receive the essence of vermilion and yellow to block the path of the corpse and ghosts, and the fragrance of the two lights extinguishes the licentious qi.

I was standing by the altar, and it was quite an eye-opener. I used to categorize this as feudal superstition, but now it seems that
Zhang Keda's actions subtly revealed a profound and mysterious Taoist foundation.

I saw Zhang Keda on the altar studying the Dao, reciting the scriptures. He would lick his lips and swallow saliva every ten or twenty words; after each hundred or fifty words, he would
tap his teeth every two or three times to summon the spirits and harmonize his blood and qi. I watched the ceremony from the side and also felt that I benefited quite a bit.

A voice suddenly flashed in my mind, Jie Run said to me, "Taoists must not weep or leak bodily fluids, as this depletes their fluids and
causes exhaustion of the throat and brain. Therefore, true Taoists often practice breathing exercises and swallowing to harmonize the six bodily fluids. It seems that this 35th generation Celestial Master is indeed not a simple
person."

I nodded, thinking to myself that although Patriarch Chongyang was a master of Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism, in terms of talismanic arts, he was indeed inferior to Zhang Zhenren of
Longhu Mountain , not to mention that Zhang Zhenren had more than a thousand years of historical accumulation... I suddenly paused for a moment, and then a thought
flashed through my mind: "How come you're still here? Damn it, you saw me being intimate with my wife..."

Jie Run's voice came, "No, my Dharma body was destroyed. Today, upon hearing the true words, I was awakened and appeared to meet you, my little friend."

I continued to ask, "Then why didn't you explain things clearly when we met last time?" Having been possessed by this thing for so long, I couldn't help but
feel uncomfortable about my privacy being exposed.

Jie Run laughed heartily, "Haha... I'm only temporarily residing here. After this ritual today, I'll
reside in Zhang Tianshi's body. You don't need to worry about the altar damaging your luck." He suddenly said to me, "Concentrate,
the main event is about to begin." Then he fell silent.

I knew this old fellow had no good intentions. So-called repaying a favor was actually an attempt to resurrect a soul. I felt a little uneasy,
unsure whether this ritual would bring good or bad fortune... Zhang Keda mentally etched the image of his brother's spirit, his hands forming a mudra
. The sunlight shining down from the top of the cave wall reflected on his face. At this moment, Zhang Keda gave a command, raising the eyeball of Jie Run's body high with his left hand
. Instantly, the sunlight split into yin and yang, the sun on the left and the moon on the right, remaining within three feet in front of him—a truly magnificent sight. Zhang
Keda then tapped his teeth three times, chanting: "Primordial True One, Two Mysteries, bind the seven spirits on the right, bind the three souls on the left, may my spirit and form
endure forever." He then tapped his teeth seven times and swallowed saliva seven times. He had been informed of this beforehand; this method is called "The Way of the Emperor to Preserve Form, Bind Souls, and Control Spirits
," which enables the recipient to escape to the earth and fly to the heavens, achieving immortality. Those nearby who did not receive the chant will also gain sharper hearing and eyesight.

Zhang Keda continued singing: "On the evenings of the third and thirteenth of each month, the three souls are unsettled
. The Shuangling (爽灵) floats about, the Taiguang (胎光) takes form, and the Youjing (幽精) disturbs and calls out. The three lords, Shuangling, Taiguang, and Youjing, are the names of the three souls. On that evening, they all abandon their bodies and wander, rushing away from their original rooms.
Some are seen and restrained by other souls or ghosts, some are captured by demons, and some cannot return. They leave their forms and release their essence, or they offend other souls. The two energies
fight together, all becoming restless and irritable, causing them to think of other things, coming and going without form, their hearts filled with sorrow and depression. Students should restrain and restrain them to prevent them from wandering."
As he spoke, his body moved as if having a seizure, but the crowd of Taoists present watched with rapt attention. I
realized that this was an extremely difficult and obscure incantation, and only I, an outsider, was watching the spectacle.

Zhang Keda closed his eyes and held his breath for three breaths, then clenched his teeth three times. He visualized a red energy, like a chicken egg, rising from within his body,
emerging growing larger, covering his body, flowing down to his head, and transforming into fire, burning his entire body, making it permeate from the inside out,
like burning charcoal. After completing this, he felt a slight heat in his body. He then clenched his teeth three times and called out the names of his three souls: Shuangling, Taiguang, and
Youjing. He then silently chanted: "Taiwei Xuangong, Zhonghuang Shiqing, internally refining the three souls, Taiguang at peace, divine treasure jade chamber, born with me,
do not move rashly, witness, Tailing, if you wish to fly, you can only go to Taiji Shangqing, if you wish to be thirsty, you can only drink the jade essence of the returning water."

According to the process, at this point, the three souls should have been formed. I did see the little finger of Zhang Qingxian's right hand twitch.

Zhang Keda continued singing without pause: "On the first, full, and last night of the moon, the seven spirits wander, roaming in the filth
, sometimes communicating with blood offerings, sometimes attracting ghosts and demons, sometimes sharing with corpses, sometimes having sex with infants, sometimes gathering rocks and destroying houses, sometimes speaking ill of people, sometimes going to the Three
Officials and the River God, sometimes transforming into demons and monsters, causing people to be disgusted, sometimes letting ghosts enter people's bodies, calling on evil to kill hostages. All the cripples and illnesses of the living are the sins of the spirits, the joy of people's
death is the nature of the spirits, the desire for people's ruin is the disease of the spirits. Taoist priests should restrain and strengthen them, refine and transform them, suppress and stop them, and subdue and intimidate them."

Its first soul is named Corpse Dog, the second Soul is named Hidden Arrow, the third Soul is named Sparrow Yin, the fourth Soul is named Devourer of Thieves, the fifth Soul is named Poisonous, the sixth
Soul is named Purifying, and the seventh Soul is named Stinking Lung. These are all the yin names of the seven souls, the turbid ghosts within the body.

With a thought, Jie Run suddenly said to me, "I'm leaving!" and then fell silent. I knew he was going to
enter Zhang Qingxian's body with the seven souls.

Zhang Keda continued his incantation. He clasped his hands together at his neck, held his breath seven times, and knocked his teeth seven times. He imagined a small white breath, like a bean, rising from the tip of his nose
, gradually expanding to cover his body in nine layers, from his feet to his head. The swirling energy suddenly condensed into a form, resembling a gathering of dragons and tigers. The Black Tortoise and the Vermilion Bird
also came to pay homage, standing in the four cardinal directions. The Azure Dragon is in the eyes, the White Tiger is in the nostrils, both facing outwards; the
Vermilion Bird is above the heart, facing the mouth; the Black Tortoise is to the west of the head and to the east of the tail, at Qingxian's feet. Then, a boy carrying ceremonial regalia steps forward, holding the ears to guard the seven orifices of the spirit sea.
After a long while, all was finished. Zhang Keda then swallowed saliva seven times, knocked his teeth seven times, and called out the names of the seven souls. Bi Naiwei prayed, "The pure energy circulates nine times, restraining the evil spirit.
Heavenly beasts guard the gate, and beautiful maidens hold the pass. Refine the spirit to be gentle and harmonious, so that it may live in peace with me. Do not act rashly. Observe the origin of your form. If you are thirsty, drink the Yellow Moon and Sun
Elixir. All is done. Then the seven spirits are closed inward, guarding and restraining each other. If this is done regularly, the turbid spirit will dissipate downward, returning to its original form, harmonizing with the Three Officials, and uniting with
the primordial spirit."

The dragon pearl in Zhang Keda's hand shone brightly, and the gathered living souls returned to their positions one by one. However, when the Devourer returned to its position,
a glint of light flashed in Zhang Keda's eyes, but he only sighed and did not stop it. The light dissipated, and Zhang Qingxian
slowly opened his eyes, nodding slightly to me and my junior brother Zhang Keda, indicating that he was alright. It turned out that although his soul was wandering outside the physical world, he
had never crossed the boundaries of the Dragon Roar and Tiger Howl Palace. Therefore, since we discussed how to hold the ceremony that day, he
already knew what to do.

Zhang Qingxian was still very weak, having not eaten or drunk anything for over a month. He was being helped away by a young Taoist to recuperate. Zhang Keda pulled me
aside and asked, "Just now, did Gaizhi notice anything strange?"

I nodded and said, "Just now, at the last moment, Jierun said goodbye to me when he left. However, I didn't know he
was residing in my body beforehand. I was afraid that interrupting the ritual would have some negative consequences, so I didn't say anything." I was mostly telling the truth,
so I was quite frank. However, Jierun said that he was entering as a substitute so as not to damage my luck. I was naturally happy to see this happen, but it
wasn't appropriate to show it at this moment. Zhang Keda could naturally discern whether I was telling the truth. After a long pause, he simply sighed and said,
"Alas... it's fate."

I asked Zhang Keda, "Is this really so bad?"

Zhang Keda explained, "Senior Brother inherited the power of the dragon for over a thousand years, which is certainly a good thing in the short term. However, his cultivation
hasn't kept up. I'm afraid that during his tribulation... alas, the methods of our Celestial Master Sect are quite unique. Even if Senior Brother successfully transcends the tribulation
and becomes an immortal, I'm afraid his cultivation will be difficult to advance any further."

I was somewhat displeased, thinking: Aren't you thinking too far ahead? It's already difficult enough to escape with your
lives
. Not to mention I sacrificed a dragon pearl and almost had to take the blame for you, and you keep thanking me, yet you're still nitpicking at me. I'd like to ask, how many people in your Celestial Master Sect have truly transcended the tribulation and ascended to immortality without external help? However, hearing Zhang Keda say that Zhang Qingxian's power had greatly increased,
I became interested and couldn't help but ask, "This disciple doesn't understand matters of the immortals, but since Master Zhang has recovered, it's ultimately
a good thing. As for the negative effects, we can still find ways to mitigate them... Master Guanmiao said that the old master's power has greatly increased. I wonder
what his chances of winning against Tianzhao again?"

Zhang Keda pondered and said, "The outcome is still unknown, but there's still a fighting chance. Here are all the most reliable disciples. I've already given instructions
to outsiders , and even the disciples in the temple treat it as a ritual to pray for His Majesty's blessings..."

"Hmm?" I smiled sinisterly, thinking that the old Taoist's approach suited my taste. We chatted for a while longer and
decided on a plan against the three Japanese. I felt confident before leaving the Dragon Roar and Tiger Howl Palace.

"Are you sure now?" That evening, Rong'er still couldn't help but ask me, worried.

I shook my head dejectedly. Facing Amaterasu again, I still couldn't fathom her true strength. I could only sense her
unfathomable depth, far surpassing the impulsive Susanoo and the treacherous Tsukidō. My intuition told me she was
definitely the enemy I least wanted to encounter.

Seeing my listless state, barely able to speak, Rong'er couldn't help but hug me, saying, "No, let's not get involved in this mess
..." Rong'er thought to herself, it's better for Jiangnan to be chaotic. Although both the North and South are currently in turmoil, it's
better than them having the time to interfere in Jiangbei's affairs.

I knew in my heart that withdrawing now might be the best course of action, letting the two Zhang Tianshi deal with the enemy. However, I'm
still soft-hearted; I can't bear to see the people suffer. My father-in-law says I'm the kind of person who can't accomplish great things. But, the Emperor is now
practically my father-in-law, and seeing Long'er watching me nervously, I naturally couldn't just leave like that. The deeper
reason is my deep-seated hatred for the Japanese devils… It seems I hate the Mongols, the Jurchens,
the Koreans , the Japanese devils, and so on… Is that a bit narrow-minded? Whatever, those who offend the might of China, no matter how far away, will be punished.
I remember reading a book about the rise of nationalism, which mentioned that it helps strengthen a country
's cohesion and the pride and unity of its people. As long as everyone in our Chinese nation has meat to eat, wine to drink, good clothes to wear, and money
in their hands , why should we care if other border people wear tree leaves and dig up grass roots? I wish they could gnaw on grass roots for another thousand years, haha… “
What mischief are you thinking about? Laughing like that…” Rong’er couldn’t stand it anymore. Although she didn’t know where my thoughts had wandered off to,
she knew I was definitely thinking about something again. "You're becoming more and more unpredictable. Nobody knows what you're thinking,"
Rong'er complained, nestled against me. But the weight of her ample breasts made my heart race, and my
erection hardened, pressing against her leg.

"Now you know what I'm thinking?" I chuckled, pulling Rong'er down beneath me and kissing her lips . My hands
clasped hers, and we kissed passionately, our fingers intertwined… These past few days have been incredibly pent-up; I couldn't wait to indulge myself in this moment
.

"Hmm~ Stop it, you're so unruly…" Seeing me so openly affectionate in front of everyone, Yin'er and the others
watched with smiles. Rong'er, slightly embarrassed, gently pushed me away after a long pause.

I felt a little helpless. Of all my wives, only Jie Jie worshipped the Mingzun and disrespected the Three Pure Ones. Even Qing'er, usually the most daring
, had become much more restrained in the Manifestation Palace. After all, she had been a Taoist nun for over a decade and naturally wouldn't dare to act recklessly. Resigned, I pulled the covers over my head and went to sleep.
Early the next morning, we bid farewell to Zhang Tianshi and returned to the palace. Being in these mountains was a way to cultivate one's mind, unconsciously making one
detached from worldly desires . However, I felt restless and uneasy. I wondered how Zhang Keda had mastered such skills… It seemed he truly treated masturbation as a form of
spiritual practice; he was indeed a pervert.

Back at the palace, the eunuch on duty informed me that Emperor Lizong, due to a report from the Censorate, said it was improper for me to reside in the palace and requested
that Zhao Yun be granted a residence outside the palace. I suspected it was either due to Consort Yan's influence or the Japanese's machinations. Leaving the palace was fine; I hoped they would join forces to kill that fool Zhao Yun. However, while leaving the palace was possible, I had to choose the residence myself. After inquiring, I learned that Shuangyuan had indeed been nationalized after the Mo family's escape, and I accepted it without hesitation. Frost Garden wasn't anything special, and since Old Man Zhao Yun was in a hurry to get me out of the palace, that very evening, with arrangements made by people sent from the palace, the furniture was all new, and about a hundred servants were delivered. I naturally couldn't be bothered with these trivial matters, and I left the troublesome tasks to the two housekeepers, Third Sister and Qing'er. Fu Mei, Ru Shi, and Ying'er had all gone back to their old bedrooms to clean . I strolled around the garden with Rong'er, reminiscing about our wonderful life here back then. "Hmph… I thought you were really suffering in Lin'an for your future, for Xiangyang. Turns out you were enjoying yourself so much! No wonder you haven't sent a single letter or let anyone know you're safe for two years," Rong'er said, feigning jealousy. "Hehe…" I got carried away and inadvertently revealed those wonderful times from back then. However, Rong'er wasn't really angry; she was just being playful. Seeing that Jie Jie had just dismissed the furniture deliveryman, I beckoned her over. “Jie Jie came here too. That naughty girl deliberately teased me back then, making Qing'er and the others jealous, causing me to lock them out for days…” I recalled my two late-night talks with Jie Jie. Looking back, several years had passed, the peach blossoms remained, but the faces had changed. It was quite poignant. “Pfft…” Jie Jie suddenly chuckled and whispered a few words in Rong'er's ear. She could now speak in hushed tones, so I couldn't what they were saying, which made me a little curious. “Haha… So that’s how it is. You little rascal… you’re really… naughty enough…” Rong'er laughed heartily, turning to look at me with a playful smile. Her smiling eyes made my heart flutter. “What’s making you so happy, sister?” Qing'er, who had just finished receiving the rouge and powder sent from the palace with Long'er, also came over hand in hand . Seeing us chatting so happily, she couldn’t help but join us for a short sit in the lakeside pavilion. "Haha... Jie Jie just told me that she used a little trick to make you all jealous back then, and then she took advantage of the situation to seduce her husband into bed." We're all family, and it's all just a joke. Since Jie Jie dared to say it, she wasn't afraid of Qing'er and the others finding out. Sure enough, Qing'er finally understood, thinking that even though she had led the charge in keeping a close watch, Jie Jie still managed to slip up . She couldn't help but smile wryly. Soon after, the young ladies, having finished tidying their rooms, also came to the pavilion . For a moment, the place was bustling with activity, and Shuangyuan felt like home again. Third Sister personally cooked three of my favorite dishes. Rong'er also showed off her skills, personally preparing a Song Sister Fish Soup and a plate of Eight Treasures Vegetarian Dish. Fu Mei and Ying'er weren't to be outdone, cooking their best dishes as well. So , on our first night back at Shuangyuan, everyone was very happy at the dinner table, which also made me temporarily forget the war clouds looming over Lin'an City. Three days passed peacefully. I didn't go to the palace or the Manifestation Palace to see Zhang Tianshi, trusting they would come to me if they had something to discuss. At dawn, when I awoke in my luxurious bedchamber, my wives, whom I had cherished all night, were still fast asleep, while my manhood remained fully inside them . Although I hadn't yet taken this girl away, she was unusually persistent. No matter how I tried to shoo her away, I would always find her sneaking into my room the next day, kissing my manhood as she slept. This had almost become a routine, and I had no choice but to let her be. Of course, I felt a warmth in my heart at her infatuated devotion. Regardless of whether I had visited my wives ' rear ends that night, she would clean them thoroughly, diligently performing the cleaning work, and then fall asleep with it in her mouth all night, as if she cared more about my manhood than I did, afraid it would get cold. Her devotion not only moved me, but even Rong'er and San Niang felt somewhat ashamed of themselves, and my wives wholeheartedly accepted her. The only regret is that, fearing this girl might get an E. coli infection in her mouth, I've been going through her anus less and less lately, which has taken away some of the fun. As soon as I moved, Manman woke up. Her naked little body twisted and wrapped around my chest, her small, apple-like breasts with their erect nipples pressed against my chest. I couldn't resist picking her up and kissing her. "Mmm~ Master... Manman is eighteen already... Take Manman..." Manman couldn't help but moan softly, a low groan . Despite being a virgin, her moans were filled with the sweet pleasure of spring, making my desire rise as well. Her body writhed from the subtle itch, her little hands reaching down to my crotch, caressing the large, precious thing . I smiled and remained silent. This little girl, oblivious to the danger, dared to provoke me. She hadn't fully grown yet, still only about 1.5 meters tall and weighing around 60 kilograms. I really couldn't bring myself to hurt her. "Okay~ Master…you can't say you don't want me…" This girl, with her innocent face, wore an extremely infatuated expression, pleading with me softly, almost making me ejaculate on the spot. "Get up, you brat…" I really didn't understand why this girl was so attached to me, but being adored like greatly satisfied my vanity. The more obedient she was, the closer our hearts became. When I realized it, I truly couldn't live without her. "I won't get up…" Manman hugged my head, rubbing her small chest against my face. I naturally accepted this girl's affectionate gesture without hesitation. "Silly girl, Master will never push you away again." The girl didn't speak for a long time, just kept playing with my hair, a long-standing habit of hers, looking for my gray hairs . I couldn't help but laugh and ask, "How is it? Are there any more white ones?" "Hmm... I haven't found any. Let me look again..." The effects of the Reincarnation Pill had mostly worn off, and given my cultivation speed, I had gained at least ten years' worth of power. The benefits were considerable. Now, my chronic illness was gone, and even my white hair had faded. I felt a youthful glow I hadn't felt in a long time; it felt wonderful. My wives gradually got up. Fu Mei insisted on seeing the prisoners I had captured because she had heard from Chu Qing that I had brought back two young girls.

They were all very beautiful, which aroused her suspicions again. She became extremely wary of me, wondering if I had ulterior motives, and wanted to
verify it with her own eyes. I thought to myself, perfect, I still have some questions for the two women. After all, the arrival of Amaterasu and her two companions
was too strange. Barking dogs are not scary, but silent venomous snakes that wait for an opportunity to strike are the most terrifying.

In Lin'an City, in the secret room under the inn where we had previously stayed, I easily used the Soul Transfer Technique to extract from Chiyo
the purpose of the Japanese devils' visit to the Central Plains. "Hmph... to unite with the Mongols and Koreans to surround us from the north, northeast, and southeast?
Not a bad plan..." I hadn't originally intended to let the two women go, so I was a bit heavy-handed. Chiyo had already fainted under my strong
mental pressure, but the situation of being surrounded by powerful enemies on all sides, coupled with the evil spirits' ruthless plan, made me feel
uneasy. Damn it, Jiangbei is still embroiled in internal strife. Mo San, you bastard, you can't even see
the true intentions of that hungry wolf beside you. You actually use him as an ally! Thinking of this ambitious but incompetent schemer, I felt both angry and resentful.

"That's not all. The Northwest is also under Mongol influence. Fortunately, Sichuan is still in our hands. As long as we appease the Six Zhao and
Annam, our rear area will be relatively stable. The problem now... it seems we really have to help the Song court get through this difficult time."
Rong'er also saw the problem. We need to resolve the crisis in the Southeast as soon as possible, and then root out Shi Songzhi, that poisonous snake, thus destroying
the central link of the various factions. However, Rong'er was not confident. She was always cautious, but this time, our actions were clearly lagging behind
the enemy.

Fu Mei also said angrily, "That dog is so hateful! He's a traitor again and again. Doesn't he have a shred of shame? It's
infuriating Brother, we must catch him this time. We can't let him harm people anymore."

I nodded slightly, thinking that we really couldn't let him continue to cause trouble. However, it wasn't that I didn't want to kill him; it's just that
this guy was as slippery as an eel. Every time he was right in front of me, I could never catch him.

I took paper and pen from the secret room and quickly wrote a letter, saying to the steward, "Give this letter to Wu
Qing as soon as possible." The steward took the letter, bowed, and went to carry it out. I closed my eyes and pondered, thinking that I had been planning this for over two years, setting up the stage for
this play. Whether it would succeed or not depended on this one move. The reason I chose to remotely direct the operation was to lull Shi Songzhi and Mo San into a false sense of security, and besides,
there was more to come.

I wrote another letter and handed it to Rong'er, saying, "For Second Brother's safety, I haven't visited him since I came to Lin'an. Please find a way to deliver this
letter him through the Lin'an branch. I need him to take action."

Rong'er nodded, put the letter away, and then took my hand, advising, "Actually, you don't need to worry so much. The fact that the other side hasn't
taken action yet means they're not ready. The Mongols haven't recovered their strength yet. M?ngke and Kublai Khan are still fighting Yugui, so they
certainly can't commit all their forces to the south. Besides, the Mongols have always looked down on the Japanese. This time,
they're probably forced to cooperate because they lack powerful commanders. So their alliance isn't very strong."

I thought about it carefully and realized that what Rong'er said was true. It seemed that the Japanese were the real instigators this time. M?ngke and Kublai Khan would probably
sit back and watch. If the Japanese occupied the Jiangnan region, they would send troops south to seize the Jianghuai region. If the Japanese failed,
they wouldn't suffer any losses. "Hehe... even the Mongols are starting to go bad..." I was a little worried. Kublai Khan was a wise man, and his
learning ability was too fast. Compared to four years ago, he was obviously much more cunning. Perhaps I should have just killed him back then.

"Secondly, the Goryeo people are nothing more than a minor nuisance, not worth worrying about." Rong'er didn't
take .

I frowned slightly and said, "Although these southern neighbor countries are despicable and filthy, they will side with whoever gives them benefits, but there's
a saying that those with nothing to lose are not afraid of those wearing shoes. It's undeniable that once a person risks their life, the fighting power they unleash is quite considerable
. We still need to be cautious about them."

Rong'er asked in confusion, "Why are they called the southern neighbor countries?"

I laughed and said, "There's actually a story behind that..." I told them the story from the time of Emperor Taizong of Tang, mentioning that
the army led by Dae Jo-yeong couldn't even gather enough weapons and could only use... Using straw as weapons, my wives couldn't help but
look . Only Rong'er saw the value in their tenacious resistance and couldn't help but sigh, "If every person in the Central Plains
had this kind of awareness, why would we need the high walls built on the northern border? This spirit is worth learning..."

I straightened my face and said seriously, "That's right. Although I despise these fickle villains to the core,
this tenacious spirit is indeed worth emulating. Rong'er, you should know the outcome of the war in the twenty-second year of Zhenguan, right?"

"Yes, the well-equipped 100,000 Tang troops were utterly defeated by the poorly supplied Goguryeo army. Emperor Taizong led the remnants of his army back to the country and
died the following year." Rong'er was somewhat saddened. She had always greatly admired Emperor Taizong Li Shimin, the military genius of the Tang Dynasty. Although
the defeat in that war was due to many factors, she had almost repeated the same mistake, forgetting the principle that pride comes before a fall.

“We’re not what we used to be. We have no guns, no men. We can’t afford to be anything but low-key…” I shook
my head and said. Although I understood Rong’er’s advice, reality was harsh, so we absolutely
couldn’t underestimate the enemy’s fighting power.

“It’s all about human effort. As long as your husband is here, nothing is impossible. Back then, we only had one state and one city, but now we
’ve expanded to thousands of miles. I think it’s good that the Mongols are coming. We can take advantage of the situation and wipe them out, then reclaim the Youyun region.” Chu Qing
followed me step by step. Although she wasn’t a military genius, her words were very reassuring,
and I couldn’t help but smile.

“Hmm… Qing’er is right. It’s all about human effort. We can’t defeat the enemy if we just worry about things happening around us.”
I laughed and hugged Chu Qing and kissed her.

“Hmm~ Am I wrong? Don’t be so biased.” Rong’er also snuggled into my arms, shaking my arm
and acting coquettishly.

"Hmm... Rong'er's analysis is correct." It was rare for Rong'er to lower her guard and act so charmingly, so I naturally
accepted it without hesitation, hugging her affectionately.

"Mmm~ Husband, I want a kiss too~~", "Husband, hug me~" This stirred up a hornet's nest; my little darlings
all pounced on me, making it a bit overwhelming. But the sweetness and bitterness of it all were truly
indescribable . When I closed the small, ventilated window of the secret room, I also completely shut out the boundless spring atmosphere that filled the room.

When we came out of the inn, the moon was already high in the sky. Rong'er, Yin'er, and all my beautiful ladies were...
The red tide hadn't subsided, causing merchants entering and leaving the inn to steal glances and marvel. What I was about to receive
was a barrage of delicate hands affectionately touching my lower back… What could I say? I could only manage a bitter smile. In a bad mood, my actions
were inevitably absurd. I'd thought for days, but couldn't find a good way to deal with Amaterasu, so I finally vented my anger
on my wives.

"Why don't we take hostages? We can bring that guy back to blackmail that woman into submission," Chuqing suggested when we got home
.

"What a terrible idea… If we're talking about the best hostages, we could provide five or six." I glanced at the weakest of them—Rushi,
Manman , Ying'er, Wushuang, and Fumei. If the Japanese devils really got angry, I would
n't be able to protect them. Now I regretted bringing them from Suzhou to Lin'an.

"You're rejecting us…" Fumei pouted, looking at me with teary eyes.

"No, I was just worried about you guys getting into danger." The moment my wife started crying, it felt like the sky was falling, so I quickly tried to comfort her.

"I'm not bad off, who knew we'd run into this kind of enemy… I already feel so wronged that I can't help, and you're calling
me a hostage… Waaah…" It started as a joke, but Fu'er got more and more aggrieved, and she started crying so hard it was earth-shattering
, completely uncontrollable. Suddenly, adults were crying, children were crying—I just don't understand how women can cry so easily.
I quickly gave Rong'er a pleading look. Seeing me like this, Rong'er hugged her daughter and said, "Alright, Fu'er, Guo'er needs to
calmly think about the next step. Let's not make things worse."

Fu'er also realized she'd gone too far with her
tears avoid really upsetting me. Before I could say anything, several loud bangs rang out, followed by a violent
shaking of the earth. My heart skipped a beat, unsure what had happened. I quickly pushed open the door and went outside. Rong'er followed closely behind, also climbing onto
the wall. We strained our eyes to see what was happening, but could only see flames shooting into the sky from the southeast, illuminating most of
the horizon .

Rong'er asked me in horror, "What is that? Is it another of Amaterasu's sorcery?"

I shook my head. The smell of dust in the air was all too familiar—it was gunpowder… "I suspect our old man
is there," I said excitedly, pointing southeast.

"Father? Really? Has he finally found the enemy's gunpowder depot?" Rong'er was also overjoyed, but seeing the wide
area , she couldn't help but worry about her father's safety, clenching her fists tightly.

"Don't worry, I'll go check it out. You all stay home and guard the house." If I wasn't mistaken, Amaterasu and
the two masters from the Manifestation Palace would also be involved; the final battle might be tonight.

Rong'er nodded. Although she was worried about her father, there were still so many people at home, and she had to take care of
the household while I was away—that was our unspoken understanding.

"Master, let me go with you," Jie Jie hesitated for a moment before stepping forward and saying. I glanced at her. Rong'er and Third Sister nodded
. "Let your sister go with you; we can feel a little more at ease," Third Sister advised. She fastened the shoulder strap of my Xuan Tie sword and
said to me, "Be careful in everything, and come back soon." I nodded in agreement. I hugged each of my wives as we parted, saying goodbye to
them . Even my daughter sensed something was wrong, her little hand clutching my collar, refusing to let me go. Just then,
another rumbling sound came from the northeast. Lin Lin's little hand released my clothes, and I took the opportunity to lead Jie Jie out of the courtyard.

I led two horses from the stable. The eagle had already woken up. I gestured to it, indicating it should just guard the house.
The eagle looked at the distant firelight, clearly somewhat frightened, but surprisingly, it still insisted on coming with me.

I looked at it; as the enemies I faced grew increasingly fierce, the eagle could only defend itself, rarely offering any assistance.
It had fought alongside me through gunfire, and I'd much rather it stayed home and enjoyed its retirement. But
it unwilling to accept its age, unable to resist joining in the excitement. Unable to dissuade it, it joined us. We, two horses and three eagles, hurried eastward.

The eastern horizon was illuminated as if it were daytime. Jie Jie asked me, "Should we go north or south?"

I hesitated for a moment. Judging from the sounds, the southern gunpowder depot should be in Xiaoshan County, while the northern one was about two hundred li away,
roughly in the direction of Wusongkou. "To Xiaoshan!" Worried about heavy casualties from the explosion, I decided to check the nearest location first and spurred my horse
forward.

The Imperial Guards had been guarding the city gates tightly. I had to use my token to pass through. After traveling five miles south, I saw
a . Two people were being chased in the woods, fighting and retreating, supporting each other. In the firelight, I recognized the wounded man as my long-lost
father-in-law, and the one protecting him as they fought their way back was Leng Fanghun.

I shouted and shot forward like an arrow, drawing my Xuan Tie sword to shield Leng Bingbing from the pursuers. "You've come?"
Leng Bingbing's face finally softened when she saw me and Jie Jie. Seeing her complexion, I realized she was also suffering from internal injuries, which startled me even more
.

"The Eight Heroes, return!" A command came from the carriage, and the men confronting me retreated.

"The Eight Heroes of the Eight-Headed Serpent?" A strange feeling crept into my heart.

"People say that Young Master Yang is the wisest man in the Central Plains, knowledgeable in all things, and there's nothing he doesn't know. He even
knows things beyond the borders in great detail. Truly admirable!" Tianzhao and his two companions alighted from the carriage and surrounded our group.
Clearly, they had a significant numerical advantage.

Damn it, Zhang Keda didn't tell me that Tianzhao had so many thugs under his command. I wonder how strong they are?
In the past, I certainly wouldn't have cared about these small fry, but with Tianzhao by my side, I felt immense pressure.
These seven or eight fierce-looking men were clearly the last straw that broke the camel's back, pushing things beyond my control.
One wrong move and we might be done for tonight. "Is my father-in-law alright?" I noticed that my father-in-law was
unusually quiet; he had already fainted.

"Very bad..." Leng Fanghun said to me with a worried expression. I had no choice but to hand him the other dragon pearl I had on me and
press it against the old man's chest.

"You, surnamed Yang, you escaped that day. Today, let me test your skills and see if they're as
impressive as the legends say." Yue Du jumped out, wielding a straight-edged broadsword that vaguely resembled a Tang sword—clearly an
antique of considerable value.

I had Jie Jie protect the two elders as they slowly retreated. Amaterasu and Susanoo didn't move, but the Eight Heroes of the Three Kingdoms surrounded them
, blocking our retreat.

"Hmph, it seems we'll have to settle this here today." The Xuan Tie sword, long sheathed, gripped my hand, and
the indomitable fighting spirit of the past returned to me. These past two years have been terribly wasted; though my skill has improved daily, my fighting spirit has
diminished considerably. Today, I finally feel myself returning, and my inner energy surges.

Amaterasu, seeing this, couldn't help but pull Yue Du back, saying, "Yue Lang, let me handle this."

"No, I'll personally cleave this brat in two," Yue Du said fiercely.

I was somewhat confused; this Japanese soldier seemed to harbor deep hatred for me, but I couldn't recall when we'd formed such a
grudge. Whatever, I hadn't intended for any of them to leave today anyway.

"Die!" Yue Du roared, sword in hand, charging towards me.

I unleashed a single, unparalleled strike with my Xuan Tie sword, blocking the devastatingly powerful sword strike. This silent attack, along with
the Xuan Tie sword , transformed into a streak of dark light, continuously devouring the surrounding light. The area it enveloped seemed like a deathly abyss capable of annihilating everything,
inspiring despair.

Yue Du was indeed a top-tier master; he immediately recognized the terrifying power of this sword strike, but instead of retreating, he met
my attack head-on. Suddenly, I felt a slight change in the airflow around the sword. As my Xuan Tie sword struck Yue Du's Spring Rain Blade
, I clearly felt his sword glide past like a swimming fish. "Good!" Yue Du seemed reckless, but his swordsmanship
was extremely skillful in its softness and defense. As he deflected my attack, he executed a Swallow Soaring move, the tip of his blade already pressed against my forehead.

I retreated, a small cut appearing on my left eyebrow. "Good! You're the first to break my 'Surprising Sword'
technique, but you've already lost." I had recovered my peak strength, and with my ability to manipulate the energy of heaven and earth, the force of
my sword was immense. That direct clash had already disrupted his internal energy, severely injuring his dantian. Seeing his slightly trembling
hands and the inch-long gash on his tiger's mouth, he no longer had the strength to fight me.

"Bullshit!" Yue Du charged forward again with his sword. I had to admire his toughness, but being merciful to the enemy is being cruel to
oneself . I raised my sword again, determined to leave him here.

This time, Yue Du had learned his lesson. He feinted, no longer directly clashing with me. Spring rain, against the backdrop of the night, drew streaks of bright,
silvery moonlight, both gentle and deadly, making me feel a sense of danger.

I didn't want to linger with this little devil for too long. With my true adversary watching from the sidelines... "Explode!" Ever since
I truly grasped the flow of energy between heaven and earth, I've mastered the third move of my swordsmanship. Utilizing aerodynamic principles, I
infinitely compress my true energy, then use the energy of heaven and earth to trigger an explosion from this extremely unstable compressed energy.

"Whoa!" Tsukidome was blasted backward, finally unable to hold his weapon any longer. "Tsukidome!" "Second Brother!" Amaterasu and Susanoo
hadn't expected my move to be so extreme. Even if they wanted to help, it was too late. When they caught Tsukidome, they saw
a deep, bone-revealing wound on his chest, and he was on the verge of death.

Amaterasu, her face dark, took out medicine from her robes to administer internal and external treatments to Tsukidome. Susanoo then ordered, "Eight Heroes, kill without mercy!"
The Eight Heroes, receiving their master's command, charged forward, weapons in hand. At this moment, a long, fiery dragon appeared on the official road heading east.
I saw that the two Zhang Heavenly Masters were leading over a hundred Taoist priests towards us, and I couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

Amaterasu, holding Yue Du, said, "Why are you doing this?"

Yue Du, pale-faced, replied, "If you truly love me, kill him for me..."

Susanoo finally understood why his second brother seemed so weak today; his purpose was to make Amaterasu clarify
her stance —whether she would avenge him or continue flirting with Yang Guo. Clearly, Amaterasu's ambiguous attitude displeased both brothers.

"Alright... wait for me, I'll be right back. We'll go back to rest soon." Amaterasu
spoke to Yue Du in the gentlest tone, like the most virtuous and considerate wife. Then, when she turned around, she had transformed into a Rakshasa woman from the Six Paths of Reincarnation
, glaring at me with a murderous look, as if she had already decided I was dead.

Zhang Qingxian and Zhang Keda had already reached me. "Gaizhi, don't panic, this humble Taoist is here to help you!" Zhang Keda, whose power had been diminished,
shouted to his disciples to form a sword formation to defend against the Eight Heroes, while guiding my family into the formation to temporarily avoid their attacks. With more people
, I felt more confident; at least the two wounded were being cared for, allowing me to focus entirely on the enemy.

Zhang Qingxian bowed to me first. This was our first direct encounter, and I hadn't expected it to be in this situation. I
quickly returned the bow, saying, "Master, this is not the place to talk. Please forgive my lack of courtesy!"

"You're too kind, Master. It is this humble Taoist who should thank you for your charitable assistance. Today, let this humble Taoist shield us." Zhang Qingxian's
face was expressionless, dignified and solemn. It seemed that in these three days, not only had his body recovered, but his power had also been fully restored,
and he wanted to avenge his humiliation against Tianzhao.

Tianzhao was already standing opposite us. "Yang Guo, you must die today!" I sneered slightly. I was easily frightened.

Zhang Qingxian stepped forward, wielding the Seven Star Sword, and stood opposite Tianzhao Nu. Tianzhao
was stunned to see the old Taoist she had killed come back to life, then sneered, "Taoist Zhang, I'm not here for you today. If

you don't want to die, get out of my way." "Demon, don't be so arrogant! You've committed too many sins. Today, this old Taoist will risk my life to uphold justice!" The old Taoist was truly
ruthless, chanting incantations, stepping on the Seven Star Sword, and unleashing a talisman that sent a fireball flying. Tianzhao's eyes turned
golden , and she formed three hand seals, each palm emitting a flame. Jie Jie and I were both stunned. It seemed this battle had
transcended the realm of martial arts. "Husband? Are they fighting with magic?" Jie Jie asked me in a trembling voice.

I hadn't expected things to escalate to such an uncontrollable point. Faced with such supernatural forces that exceeded my understanding of scientific
theory , I couldn't help but feel a chill run down my spine. But at this point, there was no room for retreat. Perhaps
my Innate Divine Skill still held some sway. I glanced at my two seriously injured elders and Zhang Keda, who was holding off the Eight Heroes' attack. I quietly
said to Jie Jie, "Jie Jie, take them and retreat on horseback."

Jie Jie shook her head, but her eyes were fixed on me with determination. "Be good, don't be stubborn with me. Listen to me now,"
I said sternly.

Jie Jie rarely saw me so serious. Seeing that Palace Master Leng and my father-in-law were both swaying precariously, she could only nod in
agreement. But as I helped them onto the horse, tears welled up in her eyes.

"What are you doing? It's just a short separation. Don't worry, I'll definitely be back tonight." Ignoring the more than a hundred
Taoist priests watching, I kissed Jie Jie on the forehead.

"I'll take the two elders back and then come back to meet you." Jie Jie's eyes were already brimming with tears, but she still managed to hold them back.

"Hmm..." The battle situation was changing rapidly, and I didn't know what kind of chaos it would turn into. In any case, I wanted her to go back first.
Of course, I couldn't chase the Divine Eagle away, but I still had it lead the two eagles to stay far away, away from the battle between Zhang Tianshi and Tianzhao.

Zhang Tianshi was already at a disadvantage in the arena. He cast a Yi Wood Thunder Spell Talisman, but before the talisman could reach Tianzhao, it
was burned to ashes by her protective true flames. Thirteen talismans in a row were burned to ashes. Watching from the sidelines, I couldn't help but feel anxious. I
knew the principle of the five elements' mutual restraint, with fire restraining wood. Why was this old Taoist priest confused? Could it be that he was terrified by this demoness?

Suddenly, the old Taoist priest made a hand seal and chanted an incantation, uttering the Shangqing Cloud Talisman Seven Mirrors Subduing Demon Spell. The ashes of the burned talismans on the ground gradually coalesced into
a large talisman. Zhang Keda, observing this, explained to me, "The Dragon Clan truly lives up to their reputation as gods who control all water systems. This talisman
can summon the Three Thousand Weak Waters, a true water second only to the Three Lights Divine Water. This time, Amaterasu will surely lose."

Seeing Zhang Keda's confidence, I couldn't help but feel relieved. The flames surrounding Amaterasu were instantly extinguished, and the arena
was filled with steam, making it difficult to see clearly. However, Zhang Qingxian's shouts continued, indicating that this surprise attack had turned the tide of
the battle have to intervene. That old dragon Jie Run is really capable. No matter how much I doubt his
intentions, the fact remains that he has helped me wholeheartedly many times. I hope that after this matter is resolved satisfactorily, we can have a proper
talk .

At this moment, the situation changed again. The previously misty humidity evaporated instantly, and I noticed that Amaterasu held the True Flame of the Sun in her left hand and the Dark Flame in her right.
At the same time, Amaterasu bit her tongue and spat out a mouthful of blood, which was her natal Heart Flame. Zhang Keda and Zhang Qingxian, brothers of one mind, hurriedly
cried out , "Ah! It's Samadhi True Fire! Senior Brother, retreat quickly!"

Zhang Qingxian tried to retreat, but it was too late. He forcefully unleashed the Three Thousand Weak Waters to engulf Tian Zhaonu, while simultaneously striking the top of his head and shoulders, revealing
three flowers on his head and two golden lamps on his shoulders. Clearly, he was also using his true strength; the outcome was decided in an instant. I knew that sitting and waiting like this was not
a solution . If Zhang Tianshi lost, most of the Taoists behind us would likely perish here. At this moment,
dark clouds summoned by Zhang Tianshi's thunder talisman obscured the sky, completely shrouding the stars and moon. However, under the illumination of the blazing flames, the sky was as
bright as day.

A thought flashed through my mind; it seemed as if a voice was guiding me, causing my body to involuntarily rise into the air. My Xuan Tie Sword,
connected with the heavenly thunder, continuously swirled within the dark clouds. The powerful magnetic field of the Xuan Tie repeatedly cut through the lightning clouds. My body was
ravaged by , threatening to incinerate me into ashes at any moment. I could only barely sustain myself by utilizing the innate divine power of transforming all things into true essence.
In just a few breaths, I had grasped the patterns of the thunderclouds in the sky, guiding them into a geometrically compressed
ball of lightning. I didn't know its power, but this was the limit of what I could do. Zhang Tianshi's Three Thousand Weak Waters
were about evaporate completely, and I knew this was my last chance to strike. "Go!" I didn't care about morality;
I had no chance against this heaven-defying monster, so it was a fight to the death! I was in the air, unleashing a move called Thunderous Nine Heavens.
The Xuan Tie sword shot out like a cannonball, spiraling towards Amaterasu.

"Despicable villain!" Susanoo shouted, raising his Heavenly Cloud Sword to meet the Xuan Tie sword in the air.

How could the might of heaven be desecrated? The purple lightning-like Xuan Tie sword encountered no resistance, shattering the Heavenly Cloud and piercing through Susanoo
's body. Before Susanoo's body was incinerated by the Nine Heavens Divine Lightning, he couldn't help but look back one last time. However, he was
filled with despair. The Xuan Tie sword, piercing through his body, showed no sign of slowing down and continued its trajectory towards Amaterasu. With
a wisp of remnant spirit, a trace of his consciousness flew westward.

The heavily injured Yue Du also flew to block Amaterasu's path, but too, the sword shattered and he died... This time, however, the Xuan Tie sword
finally slowed down, only piercing Amaterasu's waist. But this was not the end. The Purple Heaven Divine Lightning followed the sword, instantly
shattering half of Amaterasu's body.

Amaterasu screamed, her crimson eyes fixed on me, like a venomous serpent devouring its prey.
Ignoring withdrew her three true fires, and her severed body rose into the air, burning fiercely as she
charged towards me.

Zhang Qingxian shouted at me from the ground, "Master, get out of the way! The Samadhi True Fire must not touch you!" I could also see that Amaterasu had mixed and detonated
the Samadhi Fire within her body, but she came too fast. How could I have much room to maneuver in the air? I heard that voice again
: "Fire burns the fields!"

"What?" I didn't have time to investigate where the voice came from, nor did I know what it was saying.

"The Seventh Ultimate Technique of Qiankun - Fire Burns the Fields." The voice rang out calmly.

I didn't have time to chat with him. Amaterasu's fireball was right in front of me. I couldn't help but curse, "Damn it,
who's messing with me?"

"Hehe... True Lord, please be patient. This humble Taoist will lend you a hand..." These were
the last words I heard before I lost consciousness.

Postscript

"Why? Weren't you already burned to ashes? Why are all these machine guns broken?"
Mo San's shrill voice came from the Dade Hall of Lin'an Palace.

"Haha... Brother Mo, your Machiavellian skills are pretty much done. Unfortunately, you're still lacking when it comes to brains... Those guns you
brought , I specifically instructed ten stewards to add extra features for you back then. You know, prototypes aren't always
perfect; some minor issues are inevitable." I ignored his question and teased him with a laugh.

Three months after my bitter battle with the two Zhang Tianshi, a tremendous change occurred in the world. Shi Songzhi took over the
remaining . He didn't alert the Mongols but secretly invited Mo San to cross the river. A new army of 100,000, equipped with standard rifles, swiftly
captured Lin'an, taking prisoner Zhao Qizhi, Ding Daquan, Han Yanli, and other military and political figures. The 100,000 Imperial Guards were easily disarmed, and
Emperor Lizong fled north under the protection of my wives.

After extensive verification, Mo San learned that many people claimed to have witnessed Yang Guo being burned alive in that earth-shattering battle, and Shi Songzhi
also assured him that Tianzhao truly possessed supernatural abilities. Mo San felt the time was ripe and directly ordered the dissolution of the National Assembly, composed of his most
loyal allies, and implemented a military-mandated dictatorship, beginning his dream of ascending to the throne. However,
on the eve of his coronation, I appeared before him like a ghost, and the thirty Maxim machine guns he considered his lifeline
simultaneously failed to fire. This blow was unbearable for him, leading to our earlier conversation.

Why did the machine gun misfire? Fan Yiweng's betrayal was nothing more than a ruse we both planned. Fan Yiweng was affected by my soul-shifting technique
back then , so I never worried about his loyalty. Mo San had no idea about this, and it's laughable that he
thought Fan Yiweng would genuinely help him fight me because of his grudge against Gongsun Zhi. I continued, "With Big Beard Fan around,
I can easily trade you a few machine guns, it's still the same game, isn't it?"

Mo San's face turned black and white; he was defeated, utterly defeated. "Damn you, Heaven! I refuse to accept this! Why must I, with
my talents, spend my entire life in Yang Guo's shadow? I've dedicated my life to this country, why?
Why can't I use my will to perfect the great Chinese Empire? Why is Yang Guo always right? Why does he reap all
the glory? Hahaha..." He laughed loudly, but his laughter was filled with sorrow. I knew he harbored too much resentment...
"Brother, do you still remember the oath we swore on the Han River?"

Mo San was stunned, and couldn't help but shake his head subconsciously. I stammered, "As long as China survives, I will be there..."

Mo San's heart trembled. Did he really still care about this ideal? Didn't Yang Guo have any selfish motives? He
abandoned his position as commander-in-chief of the three armies, abandoned his family and country, and left with his wife and children. Wasn't he just like me, a hypocrite who talked about serving the country and the public good, spouting benevolence and morality, but in reality, just a meddlesome worldly man? Wasn't he Yang Gaizhi, whom
I, Mo Bieqing, considered my greatest confidant in life?
"You're talking nonsense! I've never believed your lies. Everyone
looks out for themselves, I know exactly what you're thinking, you shameless hypocrite! We're all just puppets you've created, you hypocrite!" Mo
San roared furiously.

I shook my head, but I didn't deny that everything was unfolding according to my script. Emperor Lizong was restored to the throne, and I
was a hero of the restoration. Of course, I had already stripped him of his military power. What I needed to do was reorganize the cabinet and the National Assembly, because
Mo San had cleared away the obstacles in the north for me. One shouldn't be too greedy, or one will be blinded. If
Mo San had pulled back from the brink and insisted on constitutionalism and democratic elections, his family wouldn't have ended up abandoned by everyone.
People can share hardship but not prosperity. Mo San went too far on this path of power struggle; he can no longer turn back.
"Governing a country is an art; it requires balanced development. Admittedly, your economic acumen
is unmatched among our brothers who fought to establish this nation. However, the birth of a country requires comprehensive development in the military, politics, economy, industry, people's livelihood, and technology."
I saw him bow his head in silence, seemingly reflecting on what I had said over the years, and I continued, "I am not cut out for
politics , and I will not allow a dictator, a new emperor ruling as a family, to emerge. You can say that my support for the sixth prince
to the throne was merely a puppet of my will, you can lament your..." Born at the wrong time, but I only ask that in the few decades we have in this world
, we consolidate the achievements of this transformation, perfect it, and pass it on. And you, you may rule the world, you may
unify the four seas, but what about after you die? You may occupy hundreds of acres of land to build a grand tomb, and then what about a hundred years later? Grave robbers will loot
all your possessions and scatter your bones on the ground. Your name will appear in history as a treacherous
dictator , a tyrant who restored the imperial system, a sinner who interrupted the first leap in the history of Chinese civilization…”

"No! This wasn't my intention, this wasn't my intention!" He pointed at me, trembling. "What makes you say that your
proposed system is necessarily superior to mine? What makes you accuse me of being wrong to declare myself emperor?"

I snorted coldly. "You consolidated the army, dismissed the parliament, and eliminated dissidents. When supreme power was concentrated in your hands
, didn't you ever harbor thoughts of being crowned emperor? Every pillar in this Great Virtue Hall has heard your declaration of wanting to rule
the world . Do you dare deny it?"

"I..." Mo San was dumbfounded. I clearly and concisely pointed out his actions over the past three years, each point
as sharp as my swordsmanship, stabbing at his weak points, leaving him speechless.

"Human desires are limitless. When power is unchecked, it will only expand without limit and then destroy itself.
The Qin only lasted two generations, and the Sui Dynasty collapsed in thirty-six years. It is precisely because of this: 'The people of Qin had no time to mourn themselves, yet later generations mourned them; later generations mourned them but did not learn from them,
thus causing later generations to mourn again.'" "The lessons of the past are still fresh in our minds, yet we laugh at those who follow and ignore them," I sighed, shaking my head.

Mo San's face flushed red and then paled, and finally, he lowered his head in shame. I couldn't help but sigh inwardly. One wrong step can lead to eternal regret. We've known each other for nearly ten years, from naive students in our teens to a pair of literary and martial heroes fighting side by side. Although I had a feeling he was ambitious for fame and fortune, I truly never foresaw he would end up like this. I suddenly shouted coldly, "Shi Songzhi, come out! I know you're behind all this!" A hunched figure emerged from behind the screen in the back hall. It was indeed Shi Songzhi and Shi Ziyou, who had disappeared for many years. He was no longer the dashing young man he once was; his temples were gray, his face was covered with crisscrossing scars, and his neck was crooked, revealing a scarlet scar like a centipede . But his eyes gleamed with ferocity, and he mumbled incoherently, "You ruined my life. Why, why ca n't I ever defeat you?" "His voice, hoarse as a broken gong, roared at me. Only then did I realize that the bullet from years ago had pierced his vocal cords. He had managed to remain hidden within Mo San's camp for so many years, but I had no idea when they had made contact. However, they were old acquaintances from Lin'an, so it seemed that Mo San's plot against me had already begun brewing back in Chang'an . Seeing me stunned, Shi Songzhi quickly threw the thunderbolt hidden in his sleeve at me, "Go to hell!" I shook my head slightly, unrepentant. In my past life, I was assassinated, and in this life, with so many ties, how could I possibly die at the hands of a petty scoundrel like you? I invented the flintlock mechanism for the Thunderclap Grenade, but unfortunately, I don't have a probe to restore it . Shi Songzhi actually tried to emulate that bastard Hakan, attempting a suicide pact with me and Mo San. I could only use my Xuan Tie sword to launch the grenade into the air like a baseball , but I was extremely careful with my movements, using a gentle force to envelop the grenade and prevent it from exploding prematurely due to the violent shock. The Thunderclap Grenade still exploded the moment it was hit by the massive impact. The enormous potential energy was instantly converted into explosive energy, and under the propulsive force of the sword strike, a huge fireball flew straight towards the palace beams. "Boom!" Half of the palace collapsed. "General!" He Qingshan and Fan Yiweng, who were guarding outside, rushed into the palace upon hearing the sudden change. "I'm alright. " Even as I stood up, having activated my protective aura, brushing away the charred wood and rubble that had fallen upon me, and pulled up the things I had protected...

Beneath me lay the terrified Mo San. I didn't glance at him again, turning to He Qingshan and saying, "Zhenyuan hasn't returned yet.
You must manage this army well. Hand Mo San and Shi Songzhi over to the judicial authorities and have them judged according to the law. This is
a lesson for you; greed corrupts. You must be mindful of your actions." I patted his shoulder and said.

"Boss, this army is your responsibility! I only want to be your soldier for life!" Qingshan clenched his fist and said to me.

"Qingshan, you're a good soldier, but you're too prone to acting on emotion. Remember, the army is for maintaining
the safety and resisting foreign aggression, not for any one family's private property. Organize a national conference as soon as possible to elect new national
leaders. That's the most urgent task. I will be watching closely." After saying that, I didn't look at them again and drifted away.

Another month later, in the Yellow Sea Bay in the eastern part of the Chinese Empire. "Is this alright?" Under the striking dragon-shaped figurehead and the distinctive markings of a multi-masted
sailing ship , the "Shenlong" sailed on the calm sea, while Rong'er leaned against my lap, smiling as she asked me.

"What?" I knew what she was asking, but I pretended to be confused.

"Oh dear, personally handing over your greatest confidant and sworn brother to the authorities, and you've been so carefree these past few days
..." Rong'er said, her face flushing red. I snuggled closer, reaching out to stroke Rong'er's hair. Last night,
she and Fu Mei fought me head-on, only to be utterly annihilated. The mother and daughter wept and begged for mercy, a scene
so thrilling and forbidden that it still lingered in my memory.

“Breaking the law will be punished, he chose this path, and this time he's probably doomed.” Mo San has made too many enemies. As the saying goes, “
the dragon that soars too high will regret ,” and “when things reach their extreme, they will
decline.” Even in so-called democratic politics, the struggle must be a life-or-death battle. This is a unique characteristic of China, and it holds true throughout history. I suddenly laughed again, “Actually, he and I are really good brothers, we're birds of a feather.”

Rong’er was stunned and asked me, “What do you mean?”

I laughed, “He acts recklessly and has made a mess of the country; I act recklessly, abandoning the world and going to sea
with my family to be a group of carefree wanderers. I’m a typical example of loving beauty more than power.” As I spoke, my hand climbed up
Rong’er’s full breasts.

Rong'er lightly spat at me, saying, "Go away, you're so unserious."

I laughed, not pulling my hand back, but continued, "He's too greedy for fame and fortune, willing to do
anything to achieve his goals, yet he overestimates himself and underestimates others. Perhaps our partnership was truly based on self-interest
, and ultimately, we parted ways for the same reason—it's fate." Thinking about our years of friendship, I still felt uneasy
and couldn't help but sigh.

Chu Qing handed me a note, a message from Yu Jie sent by carrier pigeon. I laughed loudly, "Insider information: the next elected
president is 'again' my good brother Meng Gong, and the nominee for Grand Secretary is my mentor, Wen Shan Gong. It seems the royalists want to elect
one or two powerful figures to limit the constitutionalists' further reduction of imperial power." I shook my head and smiled. Meng Erge's
second career resurgence was both reasonable and unexpected, likely
the result .

“Although Meng Gong is loyal to the Song Dynasty, his policies tend to be moderate, making him a good transitional candidate,” Rong’er
nodded . Then she added with a wry smile, “It’s all my fault. I wanted you to leave politics. If you were here,
Yelü and Xiao Yu wouldn’t be struggling like this.”

“Spare me,” I shrugged. “Want to get back into that quagmire? Seeing the constant bickering in parliament, I just want to slap them all to death
.” My wives laughed. Given my impulsive and reckless nature, I might actually
do . "Democratic politics always requires people to explore and struggle. Only then will people remember how precious freedom is.
They are not alone. When they truly grow up, they will surely become giants who shake the entire era."

"Hmm... those old royalists never imagined that your 'Selected Writings on Capital' and 'Democracy is the Direction of Progress'
have deeply resonated with the people. The popular education you've carried out in recent years has also been very effective. Relying on just one Wen Tianxiang is simply powerless to reverse the situation."
Rong'er chuckled.

"The road to change is tortuous, but we must still see hope. Second Brother, Third Brother, Fourth Brother, and Sixth Brother, even
Zhenyuan and Qingshan, they will ignite the spark of the future." Thinking of those old stubborns who opposed constitutional monarchy and jumped into the sea at Yaishan, I really don't
know whether to praise their integrity or condemn their pedantry. In short, unless someone attempts to disrupt the law, attempt restoration,
or create a great purge, I absolutely will not intervene. Damn it, these days guns don't discriminate. Even someone
as weak dared to challenge me with thirty Maxim guns. Even martial arts masters have a tough time these days. "Sigh, wandering
the world, drifting like duckweed. That's the life I've always longed for!" I
said lazily, taking an oyster that Third Sister had shucked for me and sucking it into my mouth.

"But shouldn't we settle down? The children are getting older... and Wushuang and Jie's bellies are getting
bigger. Can you bear to let everyone suffer like this, exposed to the sun and rain?" Third Sister couldn't help but suggest, "Wushuang and Ying'er are pregnant with my second child, and most excitingly
, Jie'er is also carrying my child.

" "Yes, when the children are older, we'll send them to a school," Fu Mei added.

"What's the point of going to a private school and learning those Four Books and Five Classics? We need new ideas in this new era, you know? I'm
in charge children's education!" I don't intend to entrust my children's early education to others
. As for letting them develop their interests freely when they're older and have mastered certain learning methods, that's a matter for later.

"Why don't you open a school, Master? I think every student taught by our master will be outstanding." Ru Shi said to me with a grin while instructing
the maid the fingering for playing the zither. However, this flattery really pleased me, and I started to consider
whether I should find a place to settle down.

"Jie Jie, thinking about Wan Qin again?" I saw that Jie Jie looked somewhat forlorn and guessed that she was thinking about the missing
Xie Wan Qin again.

"Hmm..."

"Master! Master! I succeeded in my experiment!" Xiao Ai ran out of the cabin and onto the deck, excitedly calling to me.

"What's wrong?" I was naturally not happy to be interrupted by her. All the Japanese pirates were killed. This girl's
mother, Hojo, was trampled to death by the rebel army during the Mo clan's rebellion. Rong'er was kind and insisted on taking her and Chiyo in. I didn't ask too many
questions . So, there were two more girls on our ship.

"Don't be like that, Aiko is still a child, and you're scaring her like that." Rong'er couldn't stand my attitude towards the Japanese girl and
couldn't help but defend her.

I thought to myself: those Japanese are wolves in sheep's clothing, all the men should be killed and all the women should be brought back as slaves, why should we give them
any face? I showed my wolfish teeth and asked with a forced smile, "What is it?"

"I... this servant thinks, I, this servant... um, the nylon that Master mentioned..." As she spoke, she
pulled out nylon filaments from the high-polymer in the glass beaker in her hand. My God, I'm rich... swimsuits, stockings, fishnets... my
dream of many years is almost within reach, I almost couldn't resist hugging this Japanese woman and kissing her a couple of times. Only then did I notice that her little face
was a little blue from the chemical fumes, and her eyes were red, like a little white rabbit... I felt a guilty feeling, as if I had conducted a live
experiment on a little girl, while she was working day and night to study and experiment for me.

Rong'er pinched me while taking Aiko's pulse. "It's alright, she'll be
fine after drinking some of the bamboo and pear syrup I made for her to cleanse her lungs and detoxify."

"Really? Thank you, Madam. Aiko loves your cooking the most. Aiko wants to learn the secrets of cooking from Madam,
please." The lively Aiko bowed deeply to Rong'er in gratitude, making Rong'er feel a little embarrassed. "Oh, Aiko
, you're such a polite child..." Rong'er really felt that Xuan'er and Linlin, the boys and girls, should
learn etiquette from Aiko.

"Hmph, they look like people when they're dressed, but in the end, they're just a bunch of hypocrites." I said with a cold snort.

My wives didn't know why I had such a strong resentment towards Japan, only Rong'er vaguely guessed that
perhaps I had "seen" something again? She seemed to understand and stopped trying to persuade me.

I saw that Aiko was about to cry again because of what I said, and I felt a little sorry for her. After all, she's just a little girl, and quite kind at that
. Should I take her too seriously? It would make me seem rude... I sighed and said, "Never mind, it was my
bad . I apologize."

Aiko was a little surprised. Although her master was usually cold to her, he had never laid a finger on her. She already
thought her master had a good temper, but she didn't expect him to apologize to her. "It's alright. It was Aiko who offended the master with her words.
Please be magnanimous and don't take it to heart." She bowed deeply to me again, making me and the other wives feel goosebumps.
They say that politeness is never a bad thing, and you can't hit a smiling face. Her humility really softened Rong'er and San Niang's temper,
and they liked this sensible and diligent little girl even more. I guess only I
could feel such intense hostility towards a soul so deeply repressed, twisted, and masochistic… I decided that this one absolutely couldn't be tolerated. In a few years, I'd "release" the little slave girl; she'd be
a perfect sadomasochistic object. When I'm in a bad mood, I can kick her down, then grab her by the hair and hang her up to beat her, tie her up, drip wax on her,
whip her… Wahaha… The evil part of my heart started acting up again. I should try all sorts of things, I thought to myself.

Time rewound to the moment I was struck by Amaterasu's fireball. I only heard a voice tell me, "
This humble Taoist will certainly lend you a hand…" Then suddenly everything went white, so blinding that I had to squint…
…"True Lord! You've finally arrived." The voice rang out, but the words it spoke were extremely unpleasant to hear. "What fungi,
bacteria… You're the microorganism." I muttered.

"Hehe… True Lord misunderstands…" The voice wasn't offended; instead, it seemed more comforting.

I thought to myself, "Even though I was so rude, he wasn't angry. You can't hit a smiling face." My anger gradually
dissipated calmly asked, "May I ask, sir, where is this place? And who are you? Do we know each other?"

"Hehe... I'm afraid you know better than I do where this is." Suddenly, I felt my eyes adjust to the surrounding brightness
, and I slowly opened them. I saw that I was in a cave, and a middle-aged Taoist priest was smiling at me beside me.
Seeing that he bore a striking resemblance to the elderly Zhang Qingxian, a thought suddenly struck me.
I bowed and asked, "May I ask... if the Taoist master may grant me your name?"

"This humble Taoist is Zhang Ling, greetings from the True Lord." Indeed, he was the first Celestial Master Zhang,
the head of the Four Celestial Masters who held an official position in Heaven... I was utterly speechless. I guessed I was either still half asleep or already dead... Seeing my
bewildered expression, Zhang Daoling seemed to remember something and tapped my forehead, saying, "This humble Taoist has been negligent, forgetting that the True Lord's wisdom has not yet returned."

His enlightenment felt like a sudden awakening, a flood of information rushing into my mind. "This is the Golden Light Cave of Jade Spring Mountain."
"My real name is Yang Jiao, a direct disciple of the Jade Cauldron True Man under the Primordial Heavenly Venerable of Jade Void Palace." "
Yang Jian, the Second Gentleman Manifesting Sage of Guanjiang Estuary, is my younger brother." "Because my parents were a mortal and an immortal, and my own karma was heavy, although I died, I was still sentenced to nine lifetimes
of reincarnation, each time destined to be a scourge. From then on, my karma became entangled, and after nine lifetimes, I was cast into hell,
never reborn..."

"Master Zhang, shall we make a deal?"

Zhang Tianshi smiled and bowed to me, saying, "I am an outer disciple of the Shangqing Fire Spirit Palace. According to seniority, I should call you Uncle-
Master."

One should be humble. This is not the time to act arrogantly. I've calculated it. In my past lives, I've been Chen Sheng,
Wang Mang, Lü Bu, An Lushan, and so on... In short, except for being an emperor, I've been involved with almost every kind of person who was despised,
tortured, or burned alive... I truly deserve to be called a leader of rebellion. Just look at my
past and present lives; the number of people who died directly or indirectly at my hands is no less than hundreds of thousands... What's even more frustrating is that this
life is my ninth... Holy crap, what's the point of playing around... I'm now even willing to beg the old Taoist to
smash my soul to pieces. It's better than being condemned to eternal damnation and endless cycles of hell.

I confided my troubles to Zhang Tianshi, thinking that since he dared to show himself to me, he must be there to help me, so I
was ready to hear his opinion.

Zhang Tianshi pondered for a moment and said to me, "Actually, I have come here on the behalf of my grand-uncle, to rescue him
."

Hearing this, I was overjoyed and hurriedly asked, "Please, Tianshi, save me!"

Zhang Tianshi smiled slightly and said, "The teachings of my Shangqing School emphasize seizing every opportunity for survival, while the Yuqing Realm emphasizes following the will of Heaven.
Therefore, my grand-uncle Yuding, having received the decree of the Patriarch, cannot defy the will of Heaven to help you."

I cursed inwardly, thinking, "What kind of mess is this? After all this time, I have to ask an outsider for help!" However, considering the complexities involved...
The legal code, the Heavenly Laws and Precepts, and most importantly, the inescapable karma I carry—naturally, no one wants to provoke this unfortunate soul. Zhang
Tianshi's act of extending a hand of friendship at this time was truly touching.

Zhang Tianshi seemed to see through my thoughts, but he didn't expose me. He simply continued, "Uncle Yuding went to Biyou Palace to seek
the help of the Sect Leader. Originally, the Sect Leader didn't want to get involved, but Uncle Yuding unexpectedly became a person outside of destiny."

A person outside of destiny? I was somewhat dazed; the amount of information was overwhelming. However, I immediately understood; it must
refer to my transmigration into this life.

"It is precisely this change in destiny that has allowed you, Uncle Yuding, to transcend the Three Realms and escape the Five Elements, becoming a person outside of destiny who brings endless changes to the Three Realms
," Zhang Tianshi explained.

I nodded, signaling him to continue.

“You have a foundation in the Dao, and you have cultivated to achieve a Dao body, finally allowing your two souls to unite. That’s why I found you.” I nodded.
Not long ago , I had just achieved great success in my divine skills, fusing the soul power of my past and present lives. Zhang Daoling must have
found me in this life by relying on the soul imprint of my past life.

Zhang Daoling continued, “The Sect Leader asked me to be frank with you. He helped you escape your predicament, but in reality, he also wanted to borrow your destiny.
It fair and just, so you don’t need to feel indebted to him.”

I like this kind of character the most. To put it bluntly, a true villain is much better than a hypocrite. It’s just that I can’t see the
Venerable Otherwise, with his frankness, I would have kowtowed to him a few times. "Hmm, I roughly understand what he means.
It means I'm an outsider, therefore not bound by the laws of heaven, so changing the course of history won't
bring divine punishment, right?"

"Exactly!"

"So, the Patriarch wants me to fight for more fortune for Yuqing and Shangqing, and suppress Buddhism?"

Zhang Daoling's smile deepened, clearly pleased with my understanding, and he nodded almost imperceptibly.

We shamelessly held a negotiation and spoils-dividing meeting in the cave, ultimately defining the spheres of influence for both factions. To demonstrate my own
value, I used the sales tactics of later Catholicism and Christianity, proposing religious reforms for Taoism, such as how to
standardize doctrines and origins, how to distinguish between practitioners and believers, how to preach… and so on. I mentioned that cultivators had already entered the realm of earthly immortals
and no longer walked the mortal world, which reassured me. I thought to myself: No wonder I've never seen immortals; it turns out they're
limited by the laws and have gone to a higher realm. I continued to expound on my religious views, and at the most insightful points, I could
n't help but spit out words, prompting even my revered master, Master Yuding, who was in seclusion in the inner cave, to applaud enthusiastically. After chatting for a long time, I suddenly remembered the saying that
a day a year on earth. I wondered how much time had passed. Realizing this, I jumped to my feet in shock.

"Uncle-Master, please calm down. I have the Spiritual Treasure Stabilizing Yang Needle, bestowed by our Ancestral Master. Within a day, there's no need to worry about changes
in time ," Zhang Daoling said, taking out a slender needle. He found my words extremely reasonable. Although
they wouldn't benefit the disciples' cultivation, for a secular sect like his Dragon Tiger Sect, they were nothing short of revolutionary, subversive, even almost
monstrous theories. We talked for a long time that day, inspiring each other, and surprisingly, we both benefited greatly… "Husband, why
are you spacing out again? Are you still feeling unwell?" Rong'er straddled me, her arms around my neck, asking with slight concern.

My thoughts were pulled back, and I shook my head slightly with a smile, "No... I was just thinking about some things from the past. Rong'er, come here, give me a kiss, a thousand years, ten thousand years wouldn't be enough..." Rong'er saw me being affectionate in front of everyone and didn't shy away from it, because this was the sentence I had said most often recently
, almost becoming a catchphrase. "Hmm~ No way, Master, you're being unfair~", "Husband, I want a kiss too~", "Master~", "Big Brother~", "Master~", "Master~", "Husband, I... be careful, don't hurt the child.", "Good brother, kisses are unparalleled.", "Darling"... In an instant, a thousand waves were stirred up, and a chorus of beauties crowded around me. I was naturally intoxicated by this endless glory and the envy of everyone else. Only Rong'er climbed onto me last, whispering in my ear, "When are we going to have another child? You promised someone..." ★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★ Sixteen years later... "Dad, come quick! My sister's bullying my brother-in-law again! He's getting beaten up and he's yelling that he wants to become a monk!" My second daughter, Ruiting, ran happily into the living room and said to me with a smile. "Xuan'er~ Xuan'er~?" I called out loudly. "What is it?" Little Guo Xuan, in her early twenties, had blossomed like a ripe autumn flower, almost ready to be picked, while this girl was still as swift as the wind. I can only blame myself for spoiling her rotten over the years. "You bullied Xiaobao again? How old are you this year? You're still acting like a little madwoman every day." I asked with a stern face. I didn't care about anything else; Rong'er was usually quite strict with her... I admit, it's all because I'm soft-hearted. Considering Guo Xiang 's miserable situation at home before the age of sixteen in my previous life, which could almost be described as having no childhood, I gave Xuan'er a happy childhood. But... it seems that she might have been a little too happy. "You want me to get married like my older sister? No way! Zhang Junbao, if you have the guts, do n't Go ahead, no one's stopping you!" Xuan'er couldn't help but get angry when she heard my words. I pulled her to sit down, but then my beloved disciple Zhang Junbao walked in somewhat timidly and said to me, "Master, I didn't say I wanted to become a monk. Grandmaster Zhou said he wants me to go to Chongyang Palace to stay with him for a few months. He wants to teach me Tai Chi." I glanced at Xuan'er and Ting'er , and they wisely retreated to the back hall. I then looked at my disciple, and couldn't help but put on a look of exasperation, saying, "You're hopeless! You've already mastered the eighth level of the Hun Tian Bao Jian, and your Innate Divine Skill is almost perfect. With your talent and skill, shouldn't you be able to comprehend it on your own? Uh... that's not the point. Look at you. You served in the army for three years, then passed the imperial examination, and now you're the prefect of Youzhou. And your second senior brother is now a powerful figure in the Northwest. Sigh... let's not talk about him, he's a menace! I wonder if it's because your master has held you back." Zhang Junbao knelt on the ground and kowtowed, saying, "Disciple is terrified..." "Get up. Remember! You must be firm with women. Women are like springs; the weaker you are, the stronger they become. The three obediences must be constantly nurtured, and the need for constant admonitions must be frequent." Just as I was instilling advanced ideas in my disciple, I suddenly felt a dark cloud looming over him... Zhang Junbao suddenly sensed that the surrounding energy was wrong. He looked up and his face changed color, saying, "Master, disciple suddenly feels the ninth level of bloodlust..."

"Qiong shows signs of a breakthrough, so I'm going into seclusion first. Please take care!"

I was unaware of the impending doom and laughed, scolding, "You little rascal, what do you mean by 'take care,' I..."

"You're weak, so she's strong?" Rong'er asked with a smile, pinching my ear. "The Three Obediences are constantly instilled, huh?" "And you want to use
a stick ? You're so cruel... Hit here, this is your flesh and blood." Full of her six-month pregnant belly, she plopped
down in my lap.

I quickly changed the subject, "Where's San Ya Tou?" San Ya Tou is Yue Ya'er, the daughter Wu Shuang gave birth to for me. Her
best friend is...

my father-in-law, who had a son late in life. After that epic battle, my father-in-law actually absorbed the Dragon Essence and
had a child with the cold, icy old clam. My brother-in-law, Huang Jun, is already fifteen years old this year, but judging from the current situation, he'll probably become my son-in-law in a couple of years
... So, my generation is going to increase again...

"Mother!" "Rong'er was already troubled by this matter, and hearing me bring up the very thing she didn't want to talk about, she couldn't help but turn my ear 1440
degrees again. My scream echoed through the sky, but the neighbors seemed to have gotten used to it. The men secretly warned
themselves that those godlike figures in the Yang family were best admired from afar, but never to be provoked; the women,
hearing my screams, would take out the 'Women's Instructions' to recite, reflecting on their own shortcomings daily, lest they become as tyrannical as Madam
Yang .

Sigh... this is my happy life, finding joy in hardship? Perhaps, but thinking back on all the storms we've
weathered , how can I not deeply love my darlings? Becoming an immortal? I've never even considered it, but I want to
stay like this forever, especially with the people I love most.

'Husband, why are you spacing out again? What are you thinking about?'" "Rong'er asked me with a smile.

I smiled back at the love of my life: "It's just that I was thinking about those past events... Rong'er, come here, give me a kiss, a thousand years,
ten thousand years wouldn't be enough..."
