Legend of the Yakuza - 11

    page views:1  Publication date:2023-03-24
I don't care! Even if it's a trap, I'm going to force my way onto the ship. I'll go crazy if I stay in the sea any longer. Fighting humans at least means I'll take advantage of your father. I even went after your eldest sister, but your second sister only saw herself as the other woman, so I only drugged her with aphrodisiacs to make her have sex with other men so your father would find out. As a result, your father kicked you all out of the house. "
When I returned and revealed the truth, my second sister naturally refused to admit it. I was too naive then, and lacked sufficient evidence. Your father simply didn't know which of us to believe."
"I'm not a weak woman who only cries, and since my second sister didn't care about sisterly affection, don't blame me for my ruthless revenge. Besides, at that time I hated your father for being unable to distinguish right from wrong, so I joined the White Whale Gang, becoming an enemy of your father and second sister. During this period, your mother fell ill from depression and died, and I became enemies with your father. After a year of fierce fighting, I finally found evidence that could reveal the truth. However, the former leader of the White Whale Gang was implicated and died because of me, and I also poisoned most of your father's old subordinates. After I exposed my second sister's evil deeds, she was finally driven away by your father. He originally wanted to kill my second sister Vasilia, but in the end, he couldn't bring himself to do it." "
Of the three sisters, your mother was the most innocent," Elia confessed sadly.
"And that's how it all ended. But back then, I couldn't forgive your father, and we were separated for several years. During that time, he gave up on himself and accepted that woman, Nara. Your father felt guilty towards you and your mother, so he didn't take you back, because he was afraid to see you looking like your mother. It wasn't until recently, by chance, that your father and I reunited, and that's how we rekindled our relationship."
Now I finally understand why the truth couldn't be found out before. It was during the great war with the White Whale Gang that most of my father's original men were killed. In addition, due to my father's insistence on keeping his men silent and the personnel changes over the years, naturally no one who knew the truth survived. And it's no wonder that Elijah wanted to hide in the shadows and support my father, considering he had betrayed my father and was his enemy. If his identity were revealed, my father would have a hard time explaining it to his men.
"Although I didn't appear before you until your father was seriously ill, I've always been secretly watching over your growth and resolving the big and small troubles you caused."
Elijah smiled kindly. "Your father and I didn't have any children. So I've always treated you like my own child, but I... I'm such a shameless woman."
To me, Elijah was just an older sister with a motherly presence. I only had Emma, my non-blood-related sister, and the familial relationship with Elijah gave me a warm feeling.
"You're not hiding anything from me anymore, are you?" I sat up and picked up the naked Elijah, placing her on my lap.
"Whether I am or not doesn't matter, I've already taken care of it for you," Elijah said inexplicably.
"Speak quickly! Or I'll take you to the basement and teach you a lesson with whips and candles."
"Actually, Second Sister has one last revenge: to put a curse and poison on you."
"Nonsense! I didn't feel anything."
"Because I already removed it before it took effect. Remember your senior brother Nadam, whom I asked you to rescue on No Return Island? Although he was tortured into madness, he could still recite some antidotes and curse-breaking formulas I hadn't learned."
If Elia hadn't explained, I wouldn't have known.
"No matter how things develop in the future, I will stay by your side to protect you in place of your parents. I won't let you be imprisoned on No Return Island again."
Being able to be in sync with Elia's spirit and desire is so wonderful for me. Of all the people around me, only Sheila has enough intelligence to advise me. But I can't completely trust her; deep down, I'm still afraid she supports my father more than me. And the last trace of distrust I held for Elia in my heart can now be completely released.
To survive within the Empire, officials, merchants, and the underworld will inevitably collude. Within this system, the power of the government is at its core. Because of vested interests, conflicts of interest are inevitable, and in a direct confrontation, neither merchants nor the underworld can withstand the power of the government.
The cunning rabbit not only has one hiding place, but now that I've fallen out with Prince Kaguru, relying solely on the petty and treacherous Prime Minister Grugu seems insufficient. For long-term security, I've decided to seek cooperation with the current Crown Prince Edward.
Edward is known as the Black Prince because he always wears black armor on the battlefield. Considering the corrupt Imperial Army, his performance on the internal battlefield is quite remarkable. However, although he is currently the Crown Prince, he still faces competition from other princes for the throne. Coupled with his demonstrated ambition, ability, and desire for reform, he is viewed with suspicion by both Prince Kaguru and Prime Minister Grugu, two powerful figures who do not want a new emperor striving for revival to emerge in the future.
He lacked the power and status to even approach Prince Kaguru and Prime Minister Grugu. However, he undeniably possessed potential, so I decided to make contact with him anyway.
Edward didn't refuse my request to meet with this underworld boss; he readily agreed to my request. However, to avoid suspicion, he would decide the location and time.
The same applied to me; it would be disastrous if Prime Minister Grugu found out about my contact with Edward.
The meeting would take place in a large bathhouse. With the bathhouse owner's help, I was able to meet this potential future emperor, though the chances were slim, and the current emperor's power was waning.
Edward, appearing in the private steam room, had waist-length black hair and delicate features, almost resembling a beautiful woman. However, his physique was quite different; befitting a seasoned general, he was remarkably robust. His eyes shone brightly, clearly indicating he was no ordinary man.
I immediately wanted to perform the courtesies of a subject to a ruler, even though I inwardly despised imperial power; I still had to maintain the proper etiquette.
Edward said, "There's no need to be so formal in a place like this. In a bathhouse, everyone is the same, regardless of wealth or status; we all just wear one towel."
I returned his smile.
Edward said, "Ellios Lavran, what brings you here?"
"I think the Prince is currently in need of capable men, and I hope to offer some assistance to Your Highness."
"Indeed! Having underworld figures to assist in court intrigues is certainly a great advantage. However, the saying goes, 'Use those you trust, and don't use those you don't trust.' You are a member of the Grugu Chancellor's faction, and we are not on the same page." "
Precisely because I work for the Grugu Chancellor, I can be more helpful to Your Highness."
Edward said cautiously, "The problem is, how can I trust you? You were working for Prince Kaguru not long ago, and you're still involved with his daughter. No one will trust a bat that constantly betrays both birds and beasts."
The Crown Prince isn't exactly friendly right now, and I don't want to be his trusted, loyal subordinate; the key is to become a partner with whom I can cooperate for mutual benefit. Court intrigues are inseparable from assassinations, kidnappings, and betrayals by traitors. Having underworld figures to help with these things makes it less likely to get involved. I believe I have the resources to make deals, but whether buyers are actually interested is another matter.
There's a reason I want to find another backer. Prime Minister Grugu is far too stingy; I can't expect any financial support from him. In contrast, Prince Kaguru is incredibly generous with his spending on the White Whale Gang. A long-term struggle with the White Whale Gang is impossible without money. Every territorial battle requires medical and resettlement expenses, and money must be paid to the government to release those arrested. And every time we lose men, we need to recruit new ones. All of this requires money.
Fortunately, Prime Minister Grugu agreed to let me do smuggling and illegal weapons manufacturing; otherwise, extorting merchants and running casinos and brothels alone wouldn't be enough money.

Chapter Three: The Underground Factory
. Many of the prisoners I met on No Return Island were experts in this field. I found them, contacted domestic and foreign buyers and manufacturers, and chose suitable locations to build factories.
The most suitable location for me was the sewers of the capital. It was both hidden and easy to access. Most importantly, apart from some vagrants, I only needed to bribe some of the water management departments in charge. Bribing these poor departments didn't cost much, which suited me perfectly.
"Clang... clang... clang clang clang..." Dense knocking sounds echoed in the enclosed space.
After several months, a secret weapons factory was built using the sewers of the capital. The workers included beggars who had been captured, recently released prisoners, my own gang members, and experts hired at high salaries—all sorts of people from different walks of life. Hundreds of workers were responsible for different processes.
Watching them work, drenched in sweat, recasting the purchased iron sand into metal blocks of various sizes, then forging them by hand into different knives, swords, spears, and armor, and finally having mages apply different spells to them, was a truly moving experience.
At my invitation, Sheila toured the workshop with me, visibly excited by the scene, even personally casting spells to add ice magic properties to several weapons.
My beloved, capricious, dark-skinned beauty brandished a sharp sword and said, "It's a pity that besides the heat, this place is also filled with the stench of men's sweat."
"By the way! Where did the thick smoke from the furnace go?" she asked, wiping golden beads of sweat from her forehead, her face glistening with perspiration from the high temperature.
"Take a guess."
"Of course it's above ground, but wouldn't that attract attention?"
"So I bought a bathhouse and six restaurants on the ground, and then connected the chimneys to the existing chimneys in those shops. Naturally, no one will notice."
"Elliot, you're getting worse and worse. Now, besides running brothels, gambling dens, murder, and arson, you're also involved in profiting from war. But women love bad boys, and I like men who are a little bad."
I laughed nonchalantly, "Don't wrong me. I just manufacture and sell some weapons. It sounds like I'm the instigator of war."
"Isn't that right?"
"War came before weapons, not the other way around. Thousands of years ago, people were already using clubs and stones as weapons. What I'm doing now is simply making the deaths on the battlefield quicker. Being hacked to death is better than being slowly killed by internal injuries from a blow."
The weapons produced in the factory will not only become tools for my men to fight the White Whale Gang for territory, but will also be sold to other gangs and noble private armies across the country. They will even be exported to foreign countries at war.
For me, the more supply and the lower the price of the domestic underground arms market, the better. Besides expanding the market, when even peasants who want to rebel have ways to afford weapons, it's no wonder the country is in chaos. Although it's already quite chaotic.
The more chaotic the world, the more suitable it is for gangsters to survive. When the army is busy fighting, it won't have time to deal with underworld figures like me. Moreover, in chaotic times, robbery and human trafficking will be much easier and more convenient than they are now.
Thinking about it, I guess I was helping the oppressed peasants rebel against the nobles and corrupt officials. It's better to rebel with weapons than with farm tools. I hadn't thought of that beforehand, and thinking about it now, I couldn't help but chuckle.
"Sheila, please tell me, what secret passages are there in your father's castle?"
"You know what he's planning to do?"
"To lead a large army in, of course."
"You want to kill my father!" Sheila exclaimed in horror.
"It's not about killing him, it's about teaching him a lesson. A powerful minister like him, who has held sway for centuries, isn't so easily killed. His refusal to be with you is simply because he looks down on me. Once I storm in and cause a ruckus, he'll see my power and naturally agree to our relationship. I can't imagine him hiding behind the White Whale Gang, spending money and resources to fight me. My resources are nowhere near your father's."
"But wouldn't that be betraying my father? That seems incredibly unfilial. The tunnels in the castle were meant for me to use in times of danger, but now you're using them for an attack?" Sheila hesitated for a moment. Although she liked to rebel against her father, it was merely a gesture to win his love. With a father of such stature and background, who would truly hate him to the core?
"You don't want your father to look down on you, do you? Do you really want to listen to him, become a tool for his political marriage, marry those seventy- or eighty-year-old human men, and have their old, wrinkled, withered, and disgusting bodies weigh you down?"
My persuasion finally had an effect. Sheila whispered, "I can tell you, but I want to go with you during the attack. And you can't really hurt my father, just let him see your abilities. With your talents, how could you be inferior to those old, immortal human nobles?"
However, once I know the location of the secret passage, what to do next is up to me.
Attacking a castle guarded by elite troops and with strong defenses will require a lot of preparation. I believe the day when Prince Kaguru will be greatly surprised is not far off.
Since the weapons factory went into production, my men's battle against the White Whale Gang has been greatly strengthened, and with the expansion of my territory, my wealth has naturally continued to grow.
Two major gangs that divide and control the capital cannot be decided by just one or two battles. More than a month passed, and the situation shifted from favorable to the White Whale Gang to favorable to me.
However, Prince Kaguru increased his intervention, strengthening his navy's inspections of the capital's shipping routes, suppressing my arms smuggling channels, and pressuring the security bureau to expedite the crackdown on civilian underground weapons factories.
But with Prime Minister Grug as my backer, he naturally had ways to distract the security bureau's officers with other tasks.
Faced with my shift from defense to offense, Prince Kaguru lavishly supported Lina of the White Whale Gang with money, using it to recruit and bribe my subordinates and to build up his forces to counter them. Several men did indeed defect; in the underworld, loyalty was no match for the allure of wealth. Fortunately, I had already adopted Elia's suggestion, using my subordinates' families as hostages and implementing a system of mutual surveillance among my men. This prevented me from collapsing under the financial onslaught.
A few months later, an unexpected situation arose. Some petty thugs in the underworld are selling counterfeit and substandard weapons under the name of the Lafran Gang, damaging our gang's reputation. Meanwhile, the White Whale Gang has also started its own weapons business, and our advantage in this area is no longer exclusive.
I can't help but sigh; this is the consequence of offending powerful figures. Prince Kaguru is truly wealthy and powerful.
Although Prince Kaguru and Prime Minister Grugu are fighting in court, Grugu hasn't supported me with the same full support that Prince Kaguru showed to Lina. While Prince Kaguru is focused on the underworld, Grugu is conveniently focusing on court intrigue, offering me very limited support and frequently demanding that I send men to kidnap officials' families and infiltrate official residences to steal documents—a truly despicable fat man.
For him, as long as I'm not wiped out by the White Whale Gang, that's enough. As for my ambition to defeat the White Whale Gang and dominate the capital, he has absolutely no interest in supporting me.
My counterattack methods, besides torturing and executing every arms dealer impersonating my men I captured, included finding and destroying the White Whale Gang's workshops. To this end, I dispatched numerous people to investigate and gather intelligence.
I poured all my energy into the bloody struggle against the White Whale Gang, which also alleviated my longing for Emma, who was far away from me.
I'm not without women around me; besides Jane and Sheila, there's also Elia, my secret lover.
But the more unattainable something is, the more regretful I feel. I long to once again enjoy the dinners Emma cooks for me every day, and then reward her by training her in the evenings. Does Emma, who lives in seclusion in the mountains, miss me?
As I racked my brains trying to figure out how to defeat Kaguru behind Lina, otherwise I would never achieve true victory, the gang member guarding the gate came in to report that Jane had run back injured.
My heart skipped a beat, and I rushed out to see my little cow.
"How are you? Are you badly hurt?"
"It's nothing. Just a superficial wound." Jane, dressed in all black, gave a sweet smile. But her arm was wrapped in bandages, with dark red bloodstains on them.
"Who hurt you? Does it still hurt? Why were you injured?"
"Hehe! I've already found out where the White Whale Gang's hideout is. Elios, why are you praising me like that?"
I was both angry and shocked.
"Little Zhen, how could you investigate such a dangerous matter alone? But you've really worked hard. Tell me the location right away, and I'll gather men to attack immediately."
"It's not hard at all! I noticed you've been looking down lately, Elios, so I thought I'd solve your problems for you. Aren't I amazing! I saw that no one could find the White Whale Gang's workshop, so I wondered if they might have built it in the underground sewers like we do. With my orcish sense of smell, I found it in just a few days." Little Zhen excitedly finished speaking and hugged me, burying my head in her huge breasts.
"I'm sorry!" I realized I'd really neglected her lately. I was thinking about Emma, and of the three women around me, Elia was the most novel and I'd been intimate with her the most recently. Thus, I neglected the pair of voluptuous breasts in front of me.
"You stay home and recover from your injuries until we get back."
"No! If you don't come with me, I won't tell you the location."
"Don't argue with me, okay?"
Little Zhen shut her mouth, offering a silent protest.
"Alright! Let's go together. But you're injured, it's a minor one, so you can't charge into battle like usual. I'll pamper you properly when we get back tonight."
Xiao Zhen hugged me excitedly. At the same time, I urgently mobilized my men to set off.
Although Xiao Zhen discovered the White Whale Gang's factory, she was also discovered because of it. The facilities and weapons in the factory couldn't all be moved overnight. Before the White Whale Gang moved to another location, they would likely increase their guard and precautions.
It seems this battle won't be easy.
After gathering my men, we quickly arrived at our destination. Moving through the sewers, besides enduring the sewage underfoot, there was also the foul stench in the air.
I decided to send Mo Shi'ai to lead the attack first, using a diversionary tactic to lure away the main force of the White Whale Gang before making my move.
Soon, from the tunnel ahead, I heard shouts and curses. Then came the splashing of sewage, the clash of weapons, and the screams of the wounded. A brutal battle began within the narrow underground waterways.
After luring the White Whale Gang members away, Xiao Zhen, Elena, and I reached the underground factory through an even narrower passage, barely wide enough for one person to pass at a time.
We were now at the ventilation shaft above the factory, and could see that few people remained inside, only a few on guard duty. Weapons were scattered throughout the factory, and furnaces were in use. Just
to be safe, I decided to send a few men down to probe first.
The two sides quickly clashed, but there were no traps or reinforcements in sight.
"Alright! Let's go down too," I said, taking Xiao Zhen's hand, and she smiled and nodded in agreement.
My men filed in, quickly subduing most of the factory. The few White Whale Gang members left behind were either killed or fled due to being outnumbered.
The situation was progressing more smoothly than I had expected.
"To prevent the White Whale Gang from returning, let's each grab a weapon and leave, then burn this place down."
"Do you think it's that easy to go back?" A cold female voice rang out in the workshop.
Elizabeth, the blonde beauty and top warrior of the White Whale Gang, appeared in the workshop. At the same time, a cacophony of voices and footsteps erupted as members of the White Whale Gang poured in from all the entrances. Some carried shields, others bows and arrows, surrounding the dozens of us who had broken in first.
"I knew letting that rat go would attract you uninvited guests. Die, all of you! Don't let a single one escape."
Arrows rained down from all directions; on flat ground, we would have been riddled with bullets.
Fortunately, the workshop was cluttered with debris and weapons. I grabbed a piece of armor to use as a shield and hid behind a stove, with Little Jane beside me. Elena hadn't come down yet.
Even so, half of my men were killed or wounded in an instant.
"Kill!" Elizabeth, wielding the Illusion Blade, led the charge.
We were surrounded by several times the number of White Whale Gang members, but fortunately, there were obstacles every three steps, allowing the smaller side to defend.
As the gang leader, I naturally became their target. A group of people surged towards me, and I gripped my spiked club, knocking down a weapon rack nearby. Dozens of weapons, weighing over two or three hundred pounds in total, pressed down on me, throwing the enemy into disarray and causing them to cry out in pain.
I used my weapon to pick up a spear from the ground, deftly wielding it in my hand. Then I stabbed wildly at the fallen enemy, killing three or four in one go.
Little Zhen protected my back; although she was accustomed to fighting unarmed, her delicate hands were a weapon no less formidable than any other. In such a confined space, she used grappling techniques to subdue her opponent in a few leaps and bounds, using him as a human shield to block his attacks, and breaking the limbs and bones of those she captured. The White Whale Gang members watched in terror, their faces turning purple.
My men were still jumping down from the ventilation shaft above, but this only entrance became the target of concentrated archer fire. Three men in a row were killed instantly, struck by more than a dozen arrows, before they even landed.
"Elena, break through the ceiling, make a few more holes, and then find a way to flood in."
"Understood."
Soon, after several loud crashes, several large holes were shattered in the ceiling. With more entrances and exits, the archers' targets were dispersed, and my men could jump down to provide support.
In this chaotic melee, I tried to avoid Elizabeth. Now that we were outnumbered, avoiding encountering the enemy's experts was naturally the best course of action.
Elizabeth looked annoyed after being bumped by her own men. Finally, she leaped up, using her subordinates' shoulders as footholds to charge through the air.
I was startled and instinctively grabbed a nearby sword, throwing it at her.
But she, dressed in white, moved with ethereal grace, darting past me in a few leaps and landing beside me, slashing at me with her blade.
"Little Zhen, hold off the others for me."
Dealing with such a master, I couldn't afford to be distracted by the others.
Elizabeth's sword strikes were fierce and heavy, like a whirlwind sweeping away fallen leaves, unlike other women who preferred agile and unpredictable techniques.
I met her head-on with sheer force, wielding my spiked club with full power, exchanging blows in a fierce, head-on clash. We exchanged dozens of moves in a short time.
I launched a direct attack, raising my club to meet her head. Elizabeth countered with a horizontal slash. The clash of blade and club erupted in brilliant sparks, each scattering outwards. The residual force of my blow shattered a nearby wooden cabinet.
After repeated attacks proved ineffective, Elizabeth somersaulted. Her snow-white dress cascaded down, revealing her slender, jade-like legs and the leather scabbard halfway up her thighs.
As I stared in astonishment, eight gleaming willow-leaf knives flew from her hand like lightning.
Startled, I leaped backward, simultaneously swinging my sword. I dodged four and deflected the other four.
"Ahhh…"
I landed right where an injured person lay on the ground; my step on him caused him to cough up blood and instantly lose consciousness.
Mo Shi'ai's feint attack was blocked outside, and Elena's men could only jump down one by one from the ceiling, piecemeal to replenish their losses, but this was far from enough to turn the tide. The White Whale Gang could concentrate their forces on me here by using a small number of their men to deal with Mo Shi'ai.
The factory was stained with blood and in complete disarray, littered with the dead and wounded, mostly my own men.
However, after a long and arduous battle, Elena finally brought reinforcements. She used her large axe to breach the walls of the underground tunnel, flooding the factory.
Initially, it was just a small, rapid stream washing away the blood. But the water quickly rose above my ankles; fighting in knee-deep water significantly reduced my effectiveness. The splashing water soaked the White Whale Gang members' bows and arrows, reducing their power and allowing my casualties to decrease.
Thus, my reinforcements gradually increased.
If it were just sabotage, recovering and relocating the equipment and weapons in the factory would be simple. But being flooded is a different story. The entire White Whale Gang's factory and weapons are doomed.
Elizabeth angrily said, "Send people to make holes in the wall to let the water out, and send people to stop them from pouring water in again."
Now it's the White Whale Gang's turn; they have to fight off Mo Shi'ai's men before they can rush out to stop Elena from flooding the factory.
"You scoundrel! I won't let you get away with this!" Elizabeth was furious at me for sabotaging the factory.
"I'll talk if you don't drown." I then swore an eighteen-character curse in return.
The flowing water submerged the still-burning furnace, emitting thick smoke that made people cough and unable to open their eyes.
Taking advantage of this opportunity, Xiao Zhen and I escaped through the hole in the ceiling and brought our men up one by one.
In order to avoid drowning, Elizabeth led the White Whale Gang in a fierce attack on Mo Shi'ai's forces, trying to create an escape route.
Although the situation has reversed, the majority of the previous casualties were my men. Now, while the White Whale Gang has suffered more casualties, it's still not enough to compensate for my losses. However, destroying their factory is a significant gain.
If I could flood the seven armies now and drown all the White Whale Gang enemies, I would have achieved a great victory.
However, Mo Shi'ai and his two or three hundred men are still fighting in the water. If the water level is raised further, they and the enemy will all drown. If they are allowed to retreat, the White Whale Gang will also take the opportunity to escape.
The underground waterway is like a multi-layered underground city. Xiao Zhen, Elena, and I control the upper level. It seems the only way is to pull Mo Shi'ai and his men up one by one and then raise the water level.
If I had used flooding from the beginning, the White Whale Gang would have immediately sent people to stop me. We wouldn't have achieved the current effect. Although the current success has a large element of luck, and I wouldn't have been able to seize the White Whale Gang's weapons in the factory that way, that's why I didn't use water from the start.
Unfortunately, victory didn't smile upon me in the end.
The White Whale Gang, led by their leader Lina, arrived with a large force of reinforcements. They launched a fierce attack on our level, occupying part of the area and gaining space to rescue Elizabeth and the others who were submerged on the next level.
Overall, we were slightly outnumbered, and the White Whale Gang members were fighting desperately to save their comrades. We were only fighting to hold them off, and this difference in morale greatly affected the fighting strength of both sides.
After fighting with my men for a while, the water had already reached Elizabeth and Moshiai's shoulders, making it difficult to wield weapons. Seeing this, she took off her clothes and jumped into the water to fight.
A mermaid wielding a sword—this truly embodied the idiom "like a fish in water." She moved freely on and under the water, using the force of the current to her advantage, making her virtually invincible. Single-handedly, she carved a large breach in Moshiai's camp, allowing her men to retreat quickly.
Before the arrival of the government troops, both sides began to gradually withdraw. Since the factory had been destroyed, there was no need to continue fighting.
I pulled the soaking wet Moshiai from the water, and he immediately began to splatter water all over me, Xiao Zhen, and Xiao Yi with his tiger-head-shaped hairpin.
Meanwhile, Lina had rescued Elizabeth. Elizabeth, standing on the dry stairs, had Lina's clothes draped over her shoulders.
Lina, her legs now human, climbed the steps. Wearing only her thin clothes, she met my gaze.
Then she ordered her men to retreat first; at this distance, I couldn't attack her. Her meaning was clear: she wanted a meeting between the leaders.
Considering the power of her Crimson Crystal Armor, and with the water still rising, Lina clearly had the advantage. I dared not actually confront her one-on-one, but as the leader of a gang, I couldn't lose in terms of presence. I quietly instructed Little Yi to ambush her.
