In May 2016, I received a week of training on techniques and procedures at the headquarters of Huaxia Liangzi in Jinan, Shandong (those who frequently do health and wellness treatments should know who I'm talking about). Then I was assigned to the Nantong, Jiangsu branch and received a month of practical training and practice in the store. Then they'd schedule my shifts. The manager wanted to find some people who didn't understand foot massage and wellness, and some foreigners, to practice. I only started officially working in shifts around the second month. They only started teaching essential oil back massages and other things in the third month. I worked in this industry for two years, primarily serving female customers. That's how it is in this industry; female customers are usually assigned male technicians first. Later, I quit because I felt the work schedule would completely interfere with my relationship with my girlfriend.
