[Wuxia] Chasing After the Beauties of Jin Yong's Novels (The Romantic Swordsman) (Complete) - 35

    page views:1  Publication date:2023-03-24
On the third day, Wu Long encountered even more people. From the conversation between the three, Wu Long learned that today was the day of the "Ten Thousand Immortals Assembly

," and the gathering place was probably nearby. At dusk, he followed the three to a mountaintop. He then quietly found a secluded spot to hide and looked down at a small valley in the direction the three were looking, thinking that was the venue for the "Ten Thousand Immortals Assembly." Sure enough, soon he saw figures flickering below, and groups of people gathered in the valley from all directions.

By the time it was completely dark, most of the people had gathered. A few people gathered together, exchanged a few words, and had someone take a headcount. After waiting for about an incense stick's time, two groups of six or seven people each arrived from the east and south. After waiting a while longer, another group arrived from the west. Those who had gathered together to talk and take a headcount were probably the initiators and organizers. Then, after another inventory was conducted and a report was sent back, one person shouted, "Light the lanterns!"

It seemed that all the people from the thirty-six caves and seventy-two islands had arrived. As soon as the shout of "Light the lanterns!" was uttered, lights instantly lit up from all directions. Some were lanterns, some torches, some Kongming lanterns, and some were pine torches and firewood. The lanterns brought by each cave and island leader were quite different; some were crude and simple, while others were very exquisite, their whereabouts previously unknown. The flickering light reflected on everyone's faces, creating a strange and wondrous scene. The combined light illuminated the valley as bright as day.

Wu Long, on the hilltop, could see clearly and surveyed the scene. He discovered that these people were men and women, handsome and ugly, monks and Taoists; some wore flowing sleeves, others wore tight-fitting clothes and short jackets; some were old men with long, flowing beards, others were women with high-coiffed hair. Most of their clothing was strange and unlike anything seen in the Central Plains. A large majority carried weapons, most of which were oddly shaped and unidentifiable.

The valley below was far from his peak, and apart from shouts and a few words carried by the wind, he couldn't hear what they were saying. But what they said was none of his concern; he was only interested in the Heavenly Mountain Child Granny. The three Taoists on the peak, including the Uneven Taoist, watched the "Gathering of Ten Thousand Immortals" below, occasionally whispering amongst themselves. Wu Long, who had been listening intently from below the peak, suddenly heard the Unjust Taoist laugh, "Fairy Hibiscus, Brother Sword God, please ambush and wait on those two peaks. I'll go down and meet these people!" Hearing this, Wu Long knew the Unjust Taoist was going down the mountain, so he quickly packed up his wine gourd and fragrant candies, preparing to follow him.

"Bull-nose Taoist, I'll go first!" A cold, arrogant voice rang out; it was the voice of the Sword God, Zhuo Bufan. As soon as the voice fell, the sound of clothes rustling through the air rang out, and Zhuo Bufan had already used his lightness skill to disappear into the distance.

"Bull-nose Taoist, be careful, I'm leaving too!" The voice was clear and cheerful; it was the voice of Fairy Hibiscus, Cui Lühua. As soon as the voice fell, she also leaped into the air. She went directly overhead; a fleeting glimpse of her pale red figure, and she was gone. In that instant, Wu Long looked up and caught a glimpse of what lay beneath her skirt. Fortunately, Cui Lühua was wearing trousers; otherwise, this accidental exposure would have been immediately seen by Wu Long.

"These people can't do anything to this poor Daoist!" Bu Pingdao, watching the departing figure of the Hibiscus Fairy, chuckled, paused briefly, and then also flashed down. His robes fluttered, his body light and agile, as he glided down from the peak, as if riding the wind, demonstrating his superb lightness skill. However, even with his skill, he was no match for Wu Long. When he reached the foot of the mountain, a streak of blue shadow flashed through the air a few times, then closely followed him. When he landed on a large tree, Wu Long landed at the same time. He stood on the treetop, while Wu Long concealed himself within the canopy. Until then, he remained completely unaware.

The Unfair Taoist flicked his whisk, glanced down, and laughed loudly, "Lords of the Thirty-Six Caves and Seventy-Two Islands, what are you discussing here? May I hear it from you?"

The people below, who were discussing something, were not expected to have an outsider suddenly intrude. The matter they were discussing was very secretive, and they could not reveal any information. Upon hearing this, everyone was startled and shouted, "Who goes there?" They then turned to find the one who had spoken, the Unfair Taoist, and cursed, "You ox-nose Taoist, who are you, daring to trespass on our 'Ten Thousand Immortals Gathering'? Are you tired of living?"

One of them, seemingly the leader, waved his hand to silence the shouts and looked up at the Unfair Taoist, asking, "What is your esteemed name?"

The Unfair Taoist smiled but did not answer. Suddenly, a voice from the crowd said, "Brother Wu, this person has... a very powerful background, he is... a... remarkable... remarkable person, he... he... he is a jiao... jiao... jiao..." He stammered three times, unable to finish the sentence. The person stuttered, and in his haste, he kept repeating "jiao" until he couldn't continue.

Although Brother Wu was a minor character in the original book, he appeared quite often. In this passage, he was considered an important supporting character. Upon hearing this, Wu Long immediately sized up Brother Wu.

Upon hearing the stutterer's words, Old Wu suddenly remembered someone and exclaimed, "He is the Flood Dragon King... the Flood Dragon King, Daoist Buping?"

The stutterer, delighted by the predicament, had someone utter the words he was stuck in his throat, and hurriedly said, "Yes... yes... yes, he... he... he is... a Flood Dragon... a Flood Dragon... a Flood Dragon..." But he choked on the word "Flood Dragon."

Before he could finish struggling, Old Wu bowed to Daoist Buping atop the tree and said, "Are you the renowned Daoist Buping? I have long heard of your great name; it is truly a thunderbolt from the blue. It is an honor to meet you."

Daoist Buping smiled and said, "Not at all! I have long since perished in the martial world, so perhaps you, Mr. Wu, do not believe me?" With that, he leaped lightly and descended from mid-air. Originally, as his feet left the tree branch, he would have fallen rapidly to the ground. However, he swung his whisk, creating a gust of wind that slammed into the ground, generating a backlash that supported his body as he slowly descended. The force of the backlash from the whisk was truly extraordinary.

Old Wu exclaimed, "'Riding the Wind Amidst the Void,' what excellent lightness skill!" As soon as he finished speaking, Daoist Bu Ping landed on his feet, smiled slightly, and said, "Mr. Wu, you flatter me!" This "Riding the Wind Amidst the Void" technique was considered his signature skill, so once he demonstrated it, Old Wu and the others had no more doubts and stepped forward to pay their respects. After

exchanging greetings with them, the Unfair Taoist smiled and said, "Mr. Wu, are the lords of the Thirty-Six Caves and the Seventy-Two Islands gathered here for the sake of that person from Tianshan?"

The eldest Wu's face changed color, but he quickly regained his composure and said, "I don't quite understand what you're saying, Unfair Taoist. We brothers are scattered in all directions, rarely meeting. We've gathered here for a simple get-together, nothing more."

The Unfair Taoist continued, "You've all suffered endless humiliation and torment at the hands of the Tianshan Child Granny, finding no joy in life. Heroes throughout the land lament this. Now that you've risen up in rebellion, who wouldn't want to lend a helping hand? I've come specifically to assist you in accomplishing this great undertaking." Upon hearing the words "Tianshan Child Granny," the surrounding people involuntarily uttered an "Oh!" These voices revealed a range of emotions: some fearful, some angry, some bewildered, some grief-stricken. Some even took several steps back, trembling with fear.

Old Master Wu smiled bitterly, "Daoist, I don't know where you got this information from; it's all just hearsay. As for Granny Tong, it's true she's strict with us, but it's all for our own good. We're grateful and virtuous, how could we 'rebel'?"

The Unfair Daoist laughed heartily, saying, "In that case, it seems I've been meddling. Well then, I'll go up to Mount Tian now and talk to Granny Tong. Tell her that the friends from the Thirty-Six Caves and Seventy-Two Islands are very filial to her and are discussing how to celebrate her birthday!"

Someone in the crowd exclaimed, "Old Master Wu, we can't let this Daoist get away with this! If he leaks the secret, it'll be no laughing matter!" A burly voice shouted, "If we're going to do it, we might as well go all the way! Let's go all out today!" There was a cacophony of clashing, swishing, clanging, and banging as everyone drew their weapons again.

The Unjust Taoist laughed, "You want to kill me to silence me? I'm afraid it won't be that easy." Suddenly, he raised his voice and shouted, "Fairy Hibiscus, Brother Sword God, the lords of the thirty-six caves and seventy-two islands here are plotting to rebel against Granny Tong. I've broken through their traps and they want to kill me to silence me. This is terrible! Help! Help! This old Unjust Taoist is going to die today!" His voice carried far and wide, echoing throughout the surrounding valleys.

Before the Unjust Taoist's voice had even faded, the cold and arrogant voice of Sword God Zhuo Bufan from the western peak came from afar, "Unjust Taoist, you can escape if you can, and if you can't, then accept your fate. Granny Tong's disciples and their followers are very troublesome. At most, I can only inform you; I don't have the ability to save your life." This voice was at least three or four miles away.

No sooner had Zhuo Bufan finished speaking than Cui Lühua, the Fairy of Hibiscus, rang out from the northern peak with her clear and cheerful voice, saying, "You bastard, who asked you to meddle? They've already made all the arrangements perfectly. If they suddenly attack, Granny Tong will be in deep trouble. I'll go up to Tianshan Mountain right now to ask Granny Tong in person and see what she has to say." Her voice was much farther away than Zhuo Bufan's on the western peak.

Upon hearing this, Wu Laoda and the others all changed their expressions drastically. These two were three or four miles away, and no matter what they did, they couldn't catch up with them. Clearly, Daoist Buping had made meticulous arrangements beforehand, with backup set up in the distance. Moreover, judging from their voices, both Zhuo Bufan and Cui Lühua were highly skilled in internal energy cultivation. Even if they caught up with them, they might not be able to defeat them.

Old Wu, knowing Zhuo Bufan and Cui Lühua's background, raised his voice and said, "Daoist Buping, Sword God Zhuo, and Fairy Furong, we are all extremely grateful for your help in resolving our predicament. We don't lie to those who are truly honest. Since you three already know the inside story, there's no point in hiding it anymore. So please come and discuss our plan."

Zhuo Bufan laughed, "It's best if we stand far away and watch the show. If anything happens, we can escape faster. Getting involved in this mess won't do us any good."

Cui Lühua said, "That's right, Daoist Buping, we two... " "I'll keep watch for you, otherwise you'll be hacked to pieces without anyone reporting it, and that would be a terrible, unjust death."

Boss Wu said loudly, "You two are joking. It's just that our enemy is too strong; we're like frightened birds, and we have to be extra careful. We're not ungrateful for your help, but we couldn't be completely honest earlier. There were unavoidable difficulties, so please forgive us."

The Unjust Daoist nodded and said, "Boss Wu, your enemy is too strong; having another helper is always good. Don't worry, the three of us are here to sincerely help you!"

"Many thanks to Daoist Buping for his help!" Old Wu clasped his hands in a salute, then called out loudly to Zhuo Bufan and Cui Lühua, "Many thanks to Mr. Zhuo and Fairy Cui for their help!"

Daoist Buping nodded and smiled, then said to Old Wu, "Old Wu, we are all involved in this important matter, so we must work together. You are the leader, so please tell us about the Heavenly Mountain Child Granny. What are the strengths and amazing abilities of this old woman? So that we can be prepared and avoid being caught off guard when our heads are separated from our bodies."

Old Wu said, "Very well! The cave masters and island masters have chosen me to temporarily take charge of this important matter. I, Wu, am of limited talent and learning ." "Originally, I was not capable of shouldering such a heavy responsibility, but fortunately, the Unjust Taoist, Sword God Zhuo, Fairy Hibiscus, and others have joined forces to carry out

this righteous act, making my burden much lighter." Someone in the crowd said, "Stop with the polite words!" Another said, "You bastard, we're going in with our swords drawn, our lives hanging in the balance, and you're still spouting these empty words? Aren't you just making fun of us?"

Old Wu laughed, "Brother Hong, your words are so vulgar. Island Master Qin of Seahorse Island, I trouble you to guard the southeast. If any enemies come to spy, send a signal. Cave Master Huo of Purple Rock Cave, I trouble you to guard the due west..." He dispatched eight experts to guard the eight directions. The eight men each agreed and led their subordinates to set out to guard. After the Eighth Route Army members who had gone out to keep watch had gone some distance, Elder Wu said to Daoist Buping, "Since Daoist Buping knows that we have suffered so much humiliation and torment at the hands of the Heavenly Mountain Child Granny, then I won't go into detail about the experiences and oppression suffered by each of our cave lords and island lords. None of us gathered here have escaped the Child Granny's oppression and torment. Our so-called 'Gathering of Ten Thousand Immortals' is just self-aggrandizement; 'Gathering of a Hundred Ghosts' would be more fitting. The lives we've endured over the years are probably no worse than those of the ghosts suffering in Avici Hell. In the past, we were all afraid of her powerful methods and could only swallow our anger and endure the hardships. Fortunately, Heaven has eyes; even this old hag, who has been so tyrannical all her life, has her downfall.

" The Taoist priest said, "You say that old hag finally has her day of reckoning, but how so?"

Old Wu raised his eyebrows, his spirits lifting, and said, "The reason we brothers are gathered here today is precisely for this. On the third day of the second month this year, I, along with Cave Master An of Tianfeng Cave, Island Master Qin of Haima Island, and nine others, took turns offering sacrifices, procuring pearls, precious treasures, fine silks, delicacies from land and sea, rouge, and other items, and sent them to Misty Peak in Tianshan. When Cave Master An, Island Master Qin, and I went up Misty Peak, all nine of us were terrified. Some of the medicines that the old hag had instructed us to prepare three years ago were extremely rare, like the eggs of a three-hundred-year-old sea turtle and five-foot-long deer antlers—we simply couldn't find them. We failed to prepare everything exactly as instructed, and we anticipated this time..." The punishment was severe. Little did they know that after the nine men trembled and surrendered their goods, the old hag sent word: "The purchased goods are fine, but you nine bastards, quickly tuck your tails between your legs and get down the mountain!" We were overjoyed, as if granted a royal pardon, and immediately descended the mountain, eager to leave as soon as possible, lest the old hag discover the goods were amiss and investigate—the punishment would be severe. The nine men arrived at the foot of Misty Peak, pulled back their blindfolds, and saw three dead men at the foot of the mountain. One of them, whom Master An recognized as a master from the First-Rank Hall of the Western Xia Kingdom, named Nine-Winged Daoist, was…

The Unjust Daoist exclaimed, "Oh!" and said, "So Nine-Winged Daoist was killed by the old hag. Rumors are circulating in the martial world…" "It was the Murong family of Gusu who poisoned him!"

Old Wu shook his head and said, "Nine-Winged Daoist had two wounds, both sword wounds. Therefore, the rumors in the martial arts world that he died at the hands of the Murong family of Gusu are all nonsense."

Uneven Daoist interjected, "Two sword wounds? You say two wounds? That's strange!"

Old Wu clapped his hands and said, "Uneven Daoist is indeed remarkable. He knew something was amiss as soon as he heard it. Nine-Winged Daoist died at the foot of Misty Peak, but he had two sword wounds on his body. This is not right!" He then told Uneven Daoist the speculations of the cave masters and island masters who had gone up the mountain with An, Qin, and others that day. Finally, he mentioned that An, the cave master with the best lightness skill among them, went up the mountain to investigate. After returning, he told them that Tianshan Tonglao was ill and not on the peak. When Old Wu finished speaking, a cheer immediately broke out from the crowd. They had already learned of Tianshan Tonglao's illness, and the group had gathered there to discuss it. However, upon hearing Wu Laoda mention it, they still didn't cheer.

After the cheers subsided, Wu Laoda continued, saying that the nine of them were likely a trick by Tianshan Tonglao to test them. After discussing it, the nine of them went up Misty Peak two days later to investigate further. This time, they all heard the news of Tonglao's illness with their own ears, confirming it. Knowing that Tonglao was not in the palace, they boldly searched for the antidote to the Life and Death Talisman they had obtained from the novels they had read, but they couldn't find it. Instead, they were spotted by a little girl in the flower garden behind the palace. Wu Laoda couldn't dodge in time and used his grappling technique to capture the girl and take her down the mountain.

Wu Long, who was hiding in the treetops, heard this and knew that this little girl was Tianshan Tonglao, who had rejuvenated herself by practicing the "Eight Desolations and Six Directions, I Alone Am Supreme Technique." Hearing this, he knew that Elder Wu would soon send someone to bring up the Heavenly Mountain Child Granny, so he immediately began to keep a close watch.

Part One: Fallen Heavenly Dragon World Chapter 150 Teasing the Child Granny 3

After speaking, Boss Wu beckoned, and one of his men stepped forward, carrying a black cloth bag, and placed it in front of him. Boss Wu untied the bag's rope, pulled the opening down, and a person appeared inside. Everyone gasped in surprise; the person was very small, a little girl. Boss Wu said triumphantly, "This little girl is the one I, Wu, captured from a novel on Misty Peak." The crowd cheered in unison, "Boss Wu is amazing!" "Truly a hero!" "Of all the immortals in the thirty-six caves and seventy-two islands, you, Boss Wu, are the leader!" Amidst the cheers, there were the soft sobs of the little girl, who covered her face with her hands and wept.

Wu Long knew that this little girl was the Heavenly Mountain Child Granny who had regained her youth, and he carefully observed her from among the treetops. The little girl was about eight or nine years old, very beautiful, with a head of long, black hair flowing down her shoulders. A small, oval face, incredibly cute, smooth and delicate, made her look like a refined porcelain doll. However, her large, clear eyes were now brimming with tears, making her all the more pitiful. Wu Long, seeing the old woman's face clearly, clicked his tongue twice and sighed, "Truly a little beauty, so pretty at such a young age; she'll be stunningly beautiful when she grows up. It's a pity she was framed by Li Qiushui; she has no hope of ever growing up!"

Then they heard Old Wu say, "After we got this girl, fearing further delay would leak the news, we immediately left the mountain. We questioned her repeatedly, but unfortunately, she's mute. At first, we thought she was pretending, so we tried many methods to test her, sometimes unexpectedly shouting behind her to see if she would jump. After trying them all, it turns out she really is mute."

The crowd heard the girl's cries, the "ya ya ya" sounds, indeed the voice of a mute. One of the men asked, "Brother Wu, she can't speak, but can she write?" Brother Wu replied, "No, she can't either. We've tried everything—torture, soaking, burning, starvation—it seems she's not just stubborn, she really can't." Hearing this, Wu Long couldn't help but think, "Damn, how could you bear to torture such a pretty and adorable little girl? You're truly inhuman!" But then he thought of the methods the Heavenly Child Granny used to torture them, which were even more inhumane. Both sides were equally bad; the Heavenly Child Granny's ordeal of being tortured was retribution, and for them, it was retribution for retribution. After saying this

, Brother Wu raised his voice and addressed the four men, "Brothers, today we've joined forces to rebel against Misty Peak. From now on, we'll share both fortune and misfortune. Let's swear a blood oath for this great cause. Is there anyone who doesn't want to join?" He asked twice, but no one answered. Upon hearing the third question, a burly man turned around and ran westward without a word. Old Wu shouted, "Swordfish Island Lord, where are you going?" The man didn't answer, but instead took off running, his movements incredibly fast, rounding the bend in the mountain in the blink of an eye.

The crowd shouted, "This man is a coward, fleeing at the last minute! Quickly, intercept him!" In an instant, more than ten people gave chase, each possessing excellent lightness skills, but they were already far from the Island Lord, unsure if they could catch him. Suddenly, a long, agonizing scream came from behind the mountain. Everyone was startled, exchanging pale glances. The dozen or so pursuers also stopped in their tracks. A whooshing sound was heard, and a round object flew out from behind the bend, soaring through the air before falling into the crowd.

Old Wu leaped forward and caught the round object in his hand. Under the lamplight, he saw that the object was a bloody mess—a severed head. Looking at the head's face, he saw bristling eyebrows and wide-open eyes; it was none other than the escaped Island Master Qu. Old Wu trembled and said, "Island Master Qu..." For a moment, he couldn't understand why Island Master Qu had died so quickly. A terrifying thought rose in his mind: "Could it be that the Heavenly Mountain Child Granny has arrived?" The other cave and island masters also had the same thought, and their expressions changed. Seeing this,

Daoist Bu Ping laughed loudly and said to the west, "Sword God's Divine Sword, indeed lives up to its name! Brother Zhuo, you guarded it very well!" Wu Long, however, already knew it was Zhuo Bu Fan's work and had no doubts.

As soon as the Unjust Taoist finished speaking, the clear voice of Sword God Zhuo Bufan came from behind the mountain valley: "Fleeing in the face of battle is punishable by anyone. Fellow cave masters and island lords, please do not blame us."

The crowd snapped out of their panic. Wu Laoda, ashamed of his earlier suspicion, shouted: "Brothers, please take out your weapons and each of you slash or stab this girl. Although she is young and mute, she is still a member of Misty Peak. Your blades have drunk her blood, and from now on, you will be irreconcilably opposed to Misty Peak. Even if you have any second thoughts, you will not be allowed to back down." As soon as he finished speaking, he immediately drew his Ghost Head Saber. The group shouted in unison, "That's right, that's how it should be! Let's swear a blood oath, from now on

, there's no turning back, we'll fight that old hag to the bitter end!" Old Wu raised his ghost-headed saber high, pointing it at the Heavenly Mountain Child Granny, and shouted, "Old Wu will be the first to strike!" He swung the saber down at the child granny trapped in the sack. But at that moment, a sharp whistling sound suddenly pierced the air, coming from the treetops. Old Wu was startled and was about to turn around when he heard a "whoosh," and his hand felt light. Then, with a clang, he looked in the direction of the sound and saw that his ghost-headed saber had inexplicably broken off at the hilt, with a large section of the blade lying on the ground. The people around him gasped in shock, their faces changing drastically.

As everyone was still in shock, a voice suddenly came from above: "You bunch of adults, ganging up to bully a little girl, aren't you ashamed? Such a beautiful, lovely, exquisite, and charming little girl, how could you lay a hand on her? Don't you have any humanity left?"

"Who's there?" Everyone looked up at the sound of the voice and saw a young man in black clothes standing on the treetop. Tall and elegant, with a graceful posture, he stood on a branch, swaying gently in the night breeze. This man was none other than Wu Long. It was he who had broken Boss Wu's ghost-headed sword with a sword aura. After breaking Boss Wu's ghost-headed sword with his sword aura, he immediately leaped from the treetop to the top. The position he stood in was the same as the position where the Unjust Taoist had stood earlier. Some observant people below noticed this and, thinking that the two of them had appeared on the tree one after the other, they suspected that there was some connection. They immediately looked at the Unjust Taoist, their eyes filled with questions. Those who hadn't noticed still pointed at Wu Long in the tree and demanded answers.

That day at the Luoyang inn, Wu Long had been dining with the three men, listening to their conversation, to verify their identities. The Daoist Buping had glanced at Wu Long then, but Wu Long had deliberately avoided them afterwards, so the Daoist Buping's brief look hadn't left much of an impression. Furthermore, it was nighttime, and although the lights below were bright, it wasn't as bright as daytime, and the view differed somewhat from what he'd seen during the day. Therefore, he hadn't recognized Wu Long. Thus, seeing the questioning looks from the crowd, he was puzzled and shook his head. He thought to himself that this man had arrived here without anyone noticing; he was truly brilliant.

Wu Long, hearing the questions from the crowd below, didn't look at them, but instead carefully examined Tianshan Tonglao, then smiled at her. With his right arm outstretched, fingers spread wide, he unleashed his Crane Control Technique, then with a swift pull, he swept the Heavenly Mountain Child Granny up and held her close to his waist amidst gasps from the crowd.

Seeing him snatch the Heavenly Mountain Child Granny with such telekinetic power, the crowd was shocked and immediately began to curse. Amidst the whooshing sounds, some launched hidden weapons at Wu Long and the Child Granny, while others leaped into the air, chasing after them up the trees.

Wu Long, holding the Child Granny in his right arm, drew a circle in front of him with his left hand, covering most of his body. Then, with one hand thrusting forward at his chest, a circular force, more than half a person's height, was unleashed. The hidden weapons, after striking this circular energy, were deflected back by the force. And it flew back exactly as it came, with the same force, speed, and accuracy as when it was shot. The only difference was that the target had changed to the original launch point of the hidden weapon. This move by their master was even more sophisticated than the "Shifting Stars" technique. He reached down and scooped up a handful of leaves from the tree at his feet. Then, with a flick of his wrist, he used the "Rain of Flowers" technique to launch the leaves in his hand as hidden weapons.

Those cave lords and island masters who were lightly climbing the trees were caught off guard by his attack. Those closest to him were caught off guard and struck by leaves, feeling a sharp pain as their strength dissipated, and they all fell to the ground. Wu Long's leaf-plucking attack was silent. Impossible to detect in the darkness, many below were struck. However, Wu Long hadn't used his full power, so they only felt a sharp pain. Some were unfortunately struck in pressure points, rendering them immobile; others were unable to move; and some collapsed unconscious. If Wu Long had used more force, those struck would likely have been bleeding.

Wu Long launched his hidden weapon, pressed his body down, and as the branch bent and sprang upwards, his feet followed, propelling him into the air. Those below only saw his figure rise extremely high before flashing through the air and disappearing from sight. Wu Long used his lightness skill to run four or five miles, and after reaching a hilltop, he stopped, put the old woman in his arms down, and bent down to examine her closely. He looked her over from all angles, but couldn't believe this little girl was actually over ninety years old.

The old woman met his gaze without flinching. As he scrutinized her, she scrutinized him as well, then glared at him and sneered, "What are you looking at! Coward, all you think about is running away! I'm so ashamed of you!" Her voice was incredibly old, greatly ruining her current image as a pretty and adorable little sweetheart.

Wu Long shook his head and smiled, saying, "So you can speak, you're not mute! But..." He paused, watching as the old woman prepared to ask him what "but" meant, before continuing with a laugh, "But you'd better continue pretending to be mute and not speak!"

A flash of anger crossed the old woman's eyes, but quickly disappeared. She stared at him fiercely and asked in a deep voice, "Why?"

"Because your voice is too unpleasant!" Wu Long laughed. Having said that, he straightened up, ignoring the fierce gaze that the old woman was staring at him. He glanced back and saw a large rock behind him. With a flick of his sleeve, he swept away the dust and sat down. Looking at the old woman staring at him, he smiled slightly and said, "You're such a young girl, yet your voice sounds like that of a seventy or eighty-year-old woman. Isn't that a bit too unpleasant! I bet you're disgusted by your voice, so you usually pretend to be mute!" As he said this, he secretly chuckled to himself. Seeing the old woman's face gradually change color, he laughed even harder. He couldn't help but want to burst out laughing, so he quickly turned his head away, took a deep breath, and suppressed his laughter.

Granny Tong's face changed color for a moment, but she quickly regained her composure, looking at him with a cold snort, "Who told you I'm just an eight or nine-year-old girl! You brat, let me tell you, Grandma is ninety-six this year!"

Wu Long remained unfazed, his gaze unchanged, and smiled, "I know you were unhappy with what I said earlier, but you don't have to make yourself sound so old when you're throwing a tantrum! You know, a woman's age needs to be kept secret, um, even though you're an eight or nine-year-old girl. But that's something you still need to know!"

Granny Tong, without getting angry, said, "You brat, let me tell you, Grandma is ninety-six this year. I'm not just making things up in a fit of anger, do you really think I'm a child?"

"Seeing is believing!" Wu Long pointed to his eyes, then pointed at her and laughed, "Aren't you a child yourself!"

Granny Tong snorted angrily and said coldly, "Sometimes what the eyes see isn't necessarily the truth!"

“But I still believe what I see!” Wu Long pointed to his eyes again, then turned and pointed at her, laughing, “You’re just a little girl! And…” He deliberately tilted his head to look at her, adding, “A very problematic little girl!”

Tong Lao was furious and shouted, “You brat, let me tell you, I’m not a little girl!” If she hadn’t been still recovering from her injuries and hadn’t witnessed Wu Long’s formidable martial arts, she probably would have already pounced on him and killed him with a single blow.

“You are!” Wu Long ignored her anger and shouted, still insisting on his point of view, though he was secretly delighted.

“I’m not!” Tong Lao roared angrily.

“You are!” Wu Long still smiled and said, “I…” Tong Lao was furious, but realized she couldn’t convince him in a short time. She paused after saying "I," took a deep breath, and turned around, saying, "Grandma won't argue with you, you brat!"

Wu Long watched her turn away angrily, her face flushed red, her lips unconsciously pouting, looking quite adorable. He couldn't help but chuckle inwardly, "Still saying no? Look at you, acting like a little girl getting angry!" He didn't dare say this aloud, afraid it would make Grandma Tong vomit blood. He chuckled again, then turned to look east. The sky was already showing signs of dawn; soon the sun would rise.

He sighed softly as he gazed at the pale light on the eastern horizon. Granny Tong cursed loudly, "How could I have run into such a rascal like you? If I had known, I would have preferred to have been killed by that Boss Wu down there!"

Wu Long leaned against a large rock behind him, then looked at her with the eyes of someone looking at an idiot and sighed, "You really are a little girl with something wrong with her head!"

Granny Tong retorted angrily, "What little girl? I'm your grandmother!"

"Fine, be whoever you want to be, I won't argue with you anymore, little sister!" Wu Long's tone had been sighing earlier, as if he really didn't want to argue with her anymore. But when he said "little sister" at the end, he had a smiling face. These three words completely negated his previous words; he still regarded her as a little girl.

"Ah!" Granny Tong couldn't help but roar to the sky, feeling that she was about to go crazy with anger, wishing she could strangle the person in front of her. But then she remembered that her strength had not yet recovered, and any second or third-rate expert could kill her, and the people from the thirty-six caves and seventy-two islands were chasing her. Moreover, a formidable enemy was lurking nearby, and she desperately needed this man to overcome her predicament. She suppressed her rage, let out a shout, and abruptly turned away. On the other side, she crouched down, staring at the ground, saying nothing more, already imagining herself skinning Wu Long alive a thousand times over.

Just then, a long, clear voice called from the foot of the mountain, "They're here! Everyone, chase them this way!" The voice was clear and loud; it was the voice of the Unjust Daoist. It was Tong Lao's shout that had revealed their location, which the Unjust Daoist, who was leading a search party, had heard. He immediately called for his men to give chase. Tong Lao knew her angry shout had given her away, but although she heard the Unjust Daoist's voice and knew he was calling for a pursuit up the mountain, she was fearless. She simply looked up at Wu Long, waiting to see what he would do.

The sun had just begun to peek over the horizon, casting patches of red clouds across the eastern sky. Wu Long was watching the red clouds, seemingly waiting to admire the sunrise. He had heard the shouts of the Unjust Taoist at the foot of the mountain, but he remained seated. Noticing that the Child Granny was looking up at him, he turned and smiled at her, asking, "I don't know your name yet. May I ask how you should address me, little girl?"

The Child Granny said in a deep voice, "You don't need to know my name. Just call me Granny!"

Wu Long stopped teasing her and walked to the top of the mountain, looking down. He saw that the Unjust Taoist and his companions had reached the halfway point and were about to climb up. Besides the Unjust Taoist, he recognized Sword God Zhuo Bufan, Boss Wu, and the stuttering Cave Master An. He didn't recognize the remaining five, but after watching them from the tree all night, they looked somewhat familiar. Those who had been searching in all directions, having heard the call of the Unjust Taoist , had already rushed over from afar. A dozen

or

so people had already gathered at the foot of the mountain, and many more were still arriving from all directions.

Chapter 151 of the First Part: Fallen Dragon World: Teasing the Child Granny 3

"These bastards, once I recover my strength, I won't let them off easily!" After Wu Long stood up, the Child Granny also stood up, now at the top of the hill, watching the figures of the Uneven Taoist, Boss Wu, and others rushing up the hillside, cursing angrily.

Seeing that the Uneven Taoist and the others were only a dozen or so feet away from reaching the top, Wu Long said to the Child Granny, "You should step back a bit!" He then took six or seven steps back.

The Child Granny turned around and glared at him, saying, "You brat, how dare you order your grandma around!"

Wu Long sighed lightly, looked up and smiled, "Alright, would you please step back a bit?"

The Child Granny snorted angrily, glared at him again, but still stepped back, moving to his side.

Wu Long's fingers began to glow, the light growing brighter and brighter, very conspicuous even in the sunlight! The temperature of the surrounding air rose rapidly, and the humid air evaporated into white vapor under the high temperature. Then, a beam of light shot out like a meteor, a transparent, meter-long fireball that burned the air and boiled the water vapor. With a sharp "whoosh!" that tore through the air, it shot forward. This sword energy was formed by Wu Long using eighty percent of his true energy, and the power contained within it was absolutely astonishing. The bulge extended to an astonishing length of tens of meters. When the bulge reached this astonishing length, the momentum of the fireball that had been impacting for nearly a hundred meters finally weakened. At this moment, the true yang energy that made up the fireball energy, no longer restrained by Wu Long, could no longer maintain its shape, and exploded and shattered with a loud bang.

With a loud "boom," a large section of the mountain rock was blasted away by his finger from a distance, breaking into dozens of irregularly sized rocks that rolled down the mountainside with a "gurgling" sound. Nearly a hundred boulders of varying sizes tumbled down the hillside at incredible speed, even the smaller ones weighing several kilograms. They rolled down with the force of a thousand pounds, unstoppable. The boulders crashed against the hillside with thunderous thuds, creating a truly awe-inspiring sound. The

Unjust Daoist and his companions, seeing they were only seven or eight zhang away from reaching the summit, were overjoyed. Seeing Wu Long and Tong Lao retreat and disappear, they worried that the two had fled upwards again, when suddenly a loud "boom" was heard, followed by a series of gurgling sounds as more than a dozen large boulders tumbled down the hillside. They rolled faster and faster, until they reached them with unstoppable force. Upon seeing the dozen or so boulders tumbling down, everyone's expression changed, filled with alarm. Seeing the rocks rolling down, they scrambled to avoid them. But no sooner had they dodged than another series of booming sounds echoed from the mountaintop, followed by even more rocks tumbling down with tremendous force. This time, not only were there many rocks, but their density was also immense, almost completely covering the slope they had come from.

The crowd gasped in shock. The dozen or so people who had followed them up the mountain, and the dozens who had gathered at the foot, also paled at the sight of this force, crying out in alarm. Some of those who had jumped aside in the first wave, including the Unjust Daoist, were unable to dodge and were struck by the rocks, screaming in agony as blood splattered everywhere. Even worse, some were crushed by several large rocks, their bodies mangled into a bloody mess. The dozens, even nearly a hundred, rocks descended from above, their force increasing with each step. The crowd at the foot of the mountain scattered in terror. Those who had already reached the top of the hill, not far from the foot, hurriedly ran downhill to dodge the falling rocks, some sideways, others daring to slip away. The group at the top, including the Uneven Taoist, knew that the further down they went, the more powerful the rocks became, so they dared not turn back. Since they were now close to the summit, they desperately dodged the rolling rocks, struggling upwards through the torrent.

The worst off were those halfway up the hill, the distance to the top and bottom roughly the same. However, going downhill was faster, so many chose to descend, while others bravely continued upwards. Even so, many were unable to dodge in time and were crushed by the rocks, dying instantly.

Listening to the continuous screams from the hillside and foot of the hill, Wu Long, the instigator, didn't even glance down from the summit. He didn't want to look, didn't need to look, didn't wish to look, and also dared not look. To be honest, he'd been wandering the martial world for almost a year, but he still found the sight of bloodshed somewhat unbearable. Since his debut, he'd rarely killed anyone in his fights, and even when he did, it was usually done in a bloodless manner. Killing so many people was a first for him. Although he'd caused it himself, he wasn't particularly bothered by the fact that he hadn't personally killed them. Besides, few of the people in these thirty-six caves and seventy-two islands were kind, so he felt no remorse for his actions. However, hearing those agonizing screams and cries now filled him with a growing unease.

"This is... transforming qi into form! True qi is inherently formless and intangible, yet you can make your inner qi emit light, transforming it into innate protective qi, indestructible. This is something that can only be done by opening at least three of the seven meridians and eight extraordinary vessels. I haven't even achieved that, and you...?"

Wu Long looked up at the fully risen, yet still dimly lit, crimson sun and the red clouds on the horizon, sighed, and took a deep breath. He turned to Tong Lao and said, "Let's go!" Without waiting for her reply, he grabbed her by the back of her collar, lifted her up, and tucked her under his arm. He then used his lightness skill to head towards a higher peak behind them.

"Coward! You're so skilled in martial arts, yet all you do is run for your life. And you even dragged your old lady along with you! You're truly shameful!" Tong Lao cursed angrily as Wu Long grabbed her and ran off without a second thought.

As Wu Long used his lightness skill to run, he still turned his head and said,

"Haven't you heard the saying 'Two fists can't beat four hands'? No matter how powerful I am, I can't withstand the encirclement and killing of hundreds of people. And by then, I won't be able to take care of you anymore! I'm doing all this for your sake, yet you still curse me, you coward, you really don't know what's good for you!"

He ran while talking, seemingly unaffected by either direction, which made Tong Lao secretly admire his high level of lightness skill and excellent control of his inner energy. Tong Lao sneered, "So, you're a chivalrous hero after all!"

Wu Long smiled and said, "I wouldn't dare call myself a chivalrous hero, I just couldn't bear to see you killed because you're so pretty and cute!"

"Hmph!" Tong Lao snorted coldly upon hearing this and lowered her head. Looking down, she suddenly noticed the light-footed footwork Wu Long had been using as he ran. Her expression changed instantly; after seeing five or six steps, her face paled, and she grabbed his arm, shouting, "Stop! Stop right now!"

"What's wrong?" Wu Long stopped, looking at Tong Lao with a strange expression. Tong Lao shook off his arm, stood on the ground, and glared at him, demanding, "How do you know my Xiaoyao Sect's [Lingbo Weibu]? Tell me, did that maid Li Qiushui teach you? What is your relationship with her?" It turned out that Wu Long had indeed used the "Lingbo Weibu" this time. Tong Lao hadn't noticed it while talking to him earlier. Now, looking down, she saw his footwork and immediately recognized it.

"I almost forgot about that!" Wu Long thought to himself, but then laughed, "I didn't expect that someone so young would recognize my Lingbo Weibu (Lingbo Steps) and even know the name of the Xiaoyao Sect. But I don't need to tell you how I learned this footwork!"

Tong Lao said coldly, "Hmph, when I knew about the Xiaoyao Sect, you weren't even born yet! Tell me, who did you learn this Lingbo Weibu from, or I'll skin you alive, pull out your tendons, and break your bones, making you wish you were dead!" Wu Long shook

his head and laughed, "Do you have the ability? If I don't tell you, then come and skin me alive, pull out my tendons, and break my bones!"

Tong Lao was used to saying such things, and in her haste, she forgot that her current strength hadn't recovered, and she was no different from an ordinary little girl. How could she possibly skin Wu Long alive and break his tendons and bones? At this moment, she was about to attack when she gathered her inner energy and immediately realized her current situation. How could she possibly be a match for Wu Long? Unable to fight back, she could only grit her teeth in hatred, her two little hands clenched into fists, staring intently at Wu Long.

Seeing her like this, Wu Long wasn't afraid at all; on the contrary, he found her angry appearance rather endearing. He smiled, feigned a sigh, reached out and patted her head, saying, "A little girl like you shouldn't talk such big talk!"

"Go to hell!" Tong Lao roared, throwing a punch at Wu Long's waist, but he easily dodged it. Tong Lao was indignant and chased after him to hit him, but he dodged again. This happened several times, but she couldn't even touch a hem of his clothes.

Tong Lao's strength hadn't recovered, and after chasing him several times, she was quite tired. She stopped, slightly out of breath, but still stared fiercely at Wu Long.

Seeing her stop, Wu Long also stopped, keeping a distance of two steps from her, and smiled, "Actually, if you want me to tell you who I learned this [Lingbo Weibu] from, that's fine with me. However, I have a condition!"

"What condition?" Tong Lao asked, looking up at him after catching her breath.

Wu Long laughed, "Call me 'brother,' and I'll tell you!"

"You little rascal, how dare you take advantage of your grandmother!" Granny Tong roared in anger. With that, she bent down, picked up a fist-sized stone from the ground, and hurled it at Wu Long's face. Although her martial arts skills hadn't fully recovered, her technique and accuracy were still excellent. The stone flew straight at Wu Long's nose.

Seeing the stone's trajectory and its imminent arrival, Wu Long raised his index finger and lightly tapped it. Without a sound, the stone shattered into pieces at his fingertip and fell to the ground. He blew a speck of stone dust off his index fingertip, then lowered his hand to his side, looking at Granny Tong with a smile, "Alright, I'm done teasing you. If you want to know, I'll tell you. I learned my Lingbo Weibu from a strange man, I think his name was something like Xiaoyaozi."

"What? Impossible! My master died decades ago, he wasn't even around back then!"

Granny Tong exclaimed angrily. Wu Long said with surprise,

"Oh my, you figured it out so quickly, little girl, you're so clever."

Granny Tong was furious again. Wu Long smiled,

"Anyway, I'm a member of the Xiaoyao Sect now. The origin of my martial arts is a bit complicated, it's not worth telling you, little girl."

"I told you, don't call me little girl, hmph, since you're from the Xiaoyao Sect, then you'd better come and pay your respects to the elders of the sect!"

"So you've gone around in circles, only to find this is where I am!" Wu Long chuckled inwardly. He watched as the Old Woman, knowing he was being referred to, pretended not to notice, glanced around, and returned, asking, "Which elder of the Free and Unfettered Sect is here?"

The Old Woman smiled, "It is I, your grandmother. I am Wu Yazi's senior sister, the mistress of the Lingjiu Palace on Misty Peak of Tianshan, the Old Woman of Tianshan! You brat, hurry up and pay your respects!"

"You!" Wu Long pointed at her, shaking his head and smiling, feigning helplessness. "I just told you not to talk nonsense, and here you are again! A little girl who lies will be eaten by the big bad wolf!"

The Old Woman was furious, cursing, "You bastard! Once I regain my strength, I'll catch you, skin you alive, tear you apart, and make you suffer endless torment!"

Wu Long laughed, "Come on, when you have the ability, then talk big!"

The Old Woman was speechless, only glaring at him angrily. Seeing this, Wu Long stopped teasing her and said,

"Alright, don't be angry. I knew who you were the moment you spoke. Master Wu Yazi mentioned you before. Your nickname is Tianshan Child Granny, and your real name is rarely remembered. It's Wu Xingyun, right? You cultivate a martial art called the 'Eight Desolations and Six Harmonies, I Alone Am Supreme Technique.' This technique is incredibly powerful, but it has a major drawback: every thirty years, you need to revert to a youthful state. This 'Eight Desolations and Six Harmonies, I Alone Am Supreme Technique' was originally a divine internal martial art."

The Child Granny exclaimed in surprise,

"You've seen Wu Yazi? Where is he now? I haven't heard from him for decades. I thought he had been harmed. Why...why does he never come to see me...does he look down on my perpetually immature body?"

Her voice trembled slightly as she spoke. Wu Long knew he was deeply in love with Wu Yazi and wasn't surprised by her outburst. He then said:

“Yes, I not only met Master Wuyazi, but also received his great favor, and am now the head of the Xiaoyao Sect!”

After saying this, Wu Long showed the headmaster's ring on his left hand. Tong Lao's eyes widened and she said:

“You actually called yourself the head of the Xiaoyao Sect? The head of the Xiaoyao Sect is a lifelong position, and the position is only passed on when one feels that their time is near. Wuyazi… has he passed away?”

Wu Long shook his head and said:

“No, but he hasn’t had a good life these past few decades.”

He then told Tong Lao in detail about Wuyazi’s experiences. Tong Lao was filled with anger and gritted her teeth and said:

“That Li Qiushui, she got a junior brother but didn’t cherish him. She even played with male concubines for some inexplicable jealousy. Her behavior is worse than that of a woman! If I were my junior brother, I would have killed him with one palm. That Ding Chunqiu has such audacity, daring to kill his master and betray the sect. If I don’t plant a life-and-death talisman on him so that he can live in eternal pain, I swear I am not human!”

Wu Long said:

"Grandma Tong, don't worry about that. I'll handle Ding Chunqiu and the others. As for Li Qiushui, let Master Wuyazi deal with her. His time is running out. Even with his unparalleled internal strength, he can only barely hold on for a few more years. The most important thing now is for you to regain your strength."

Grandma Tong, being a grandmaster, quickly controlled her emotions and said:

"I started practicing this skill when I was six years old. At thirty-six, I rejuvenated, which took thirty days. At sixty-six, I rejuvenated again, which took sixty days. This year, at ninety-six, I will rejuvenate again, which will take ninety days to recover my strength. After rejuvenating, I lose all my strength. After one day of practice, I recover to the strength I had at seven years old, on the second day to eight years old, and on the third day to nine years old, and each day is equivalent to one year. I must drink fresh blood at noon every day to practice. Li Qiushui is my greatest enemy in life. She knows the details of my skill and will definitely take the opportunity to harm me when she realizes I have rejuvenated. Grandma cannot show weakness and has gone down Misty Peak to hide. So she instructed her servants and maids on various ways to resist, while Grandma continued her practice."

"Unexpectedly, before I even arrived, Boss Wu and his men stormed up the peak. My men were all focused on guarding against my formidable enemy; otherwise, with the mediocre skills of Master An and Boss Wu, how could they have so easily made it onto Misty Peak? At that time, I was on my third day of cultivation when Boss Wu grabbed me. I only possessed the power of a nine-year-old girl; how could I resist? I had no choice but to pretend to be deaf and dumb, and he stuffed me into a cloth bag and took me down the mountain. In the days that followed, I couldn't drink any fresh blood and remained a nine-year-old child. This rejuvenation is like a snake's shell; each time it grows, it grows larger, but if you're caught halfway through, it's extremely dangerous. If I had been delayed for another day or two, I still wouldn't have been able to drink any fresh blood and practice my skills. My inner energy would have burst out, and I would have surely died. I'm so grateful to you, kid, for saving me; otherwise, even if Boss Wu and his men hadn't killed me, I would have died from my inner energy exploding."

Wu Long said.

"So that's how it is, Granny Tong. Why is the cultivation of this [Eight Directions, Six Unique Powers] so different from other martial arts of the Free and Unfettered Sect? It actually requires absorbing blood, which is quite different from the sect's martial arts system!"

Granny Tong explained.

"Indeed, speaking of which, the [Eight Directions and Six Harmonies, I Alone Am Supreme] that I cultivate is different from the one my master taught me. I forced myself to cultivate it. This skill was originally called the Pure Yang Supreme Skill, which belongs to the extreme Yang and is not suitable for women to cultivate. I, Tong Lao, am proud and arrogant, so I reversed the extreme Yang skill and cultivated it into the extreme Yin skill, and renamed it the Eight Desolations and Six Harmonies, I Alone Am Supreme Skill. The three great internal skills of the Xiaoyao Sect, Beiming, Xiaowuxiang, and the Eight Directions and Six Harmonies, I Alone Am Supreme Skill, each have their own characteristics. They are all derived from my master's divine skill [Heaven and Earth Forever]. The [Heaven and Earth Forever] skill is incomparably powerful, no less than Shaolin's [Marrow Cleansing and Tendon Changing], but unfortunately, the conditions for cultivation are too harsh. My master could not find anyone who could completely inherit it, so he divided it into three, which is in line with the Taoist story of One Qi Transforming into Three Pure Ones. If someone can successfully cultivate the three divine skills again, then the power of the [Heaven and Earth Forever] skill can be reproduced."

"I see. The Eight Directions and Six Fragrances, I Alone Am Supreme, is extremely fierce and domineering. The Lesser Formless Divine Art, though gentle, can evolve all internal energy properties. The Northern Darkness Divine Art is strongest in its ability to fuse the power of others, or the power of heaven and earth, for one's own use. I wonder how astonishing the power would be after their fusion."

"Your internal energy seems to be the Northern Darkness Divine Art, but it's different. It seems to have fused the two kinds of internal energy, ultimate yang and ultimate yin. Although it's not completely fused and integrated, it already has the chaotic aura of my master's Heavenly Desolation and Earthly Age Divine Art. I don't know what extraordinary encounters you've had, but if you continue to improve, perhaps you can reach the level my master reached."

Chapter 152 of Fallen Heavenly Dragon World: It's You I Want!

Despite receiving such praise from Tong Lao, the highest-ranking martial artist of the Xiaoyao Sect, Wu Long wasn't overly excited. In fact, he knew his martial arts weren't fully integrated; they were merely fused together. He cultivated unparalleled divine skills like the Beiming Divine Art, the Nine Yin Manual, and the Innate Skill—all supreme Taoist techniques. Each one, when mastered to its peak, was enough to dominate the world. His combined power was far more than simply the sum of its parts. However, correspondingly, completely fusing them and creating a new divine skill was extremely difficult.

But Wu Long had only been practicing martial arts for less than a year, so he wasn't in a hurry. He was confident he would reach the grandmaster level within ten years. Even in Jin Yong's fourteen martial arts worlds, only a handful of people like A Qing, Bodhidharma, Zhang Sanfeng, and Dugu Qiubai could defeat him.

"Are you hungry?"

Wu Long asked Tong Lao with a smile. Having not slept or eaten all night and been active for most of the night, he was definitely feeling hungry. Looking around, they found no trace of birds or beasts. The old woman pointed to a snow-capped peak not far ahead and said,

"The snow-capped peak has the most bamboo partridges, as well as sika deer and antelopes, all very delicious. Let's go there. I need to drink fresh blood to practice my skills at noon, and deer blood is the most delicious! When we get to the peak, you should catch one first!"

Wu Long knew she needed to drink blood for her training, so he simply nodded without saying anything. Then he went over, picked her up, and carried her to his waist, using his Lingbo Weibu (a martial arts technique) to head towards the snow-capped peak. In less than half an hour, Wu Long had led the old woman to the snow-capped peak. After going a little further up, they found a dense forest. Wu Long settled the old woman under a large tree and then went to hunt sika deer nearby.

There were quite a few sika deer on the peak, and he was lucky; he encountered two not far away and caught them both. He kept one venison for lunch to supply blood to Granny Tong, and slaughtered the other. He bled it, skinned it, and gutted it, then cleaned the meat with fresh snow, cut it into pieces, and placed them on the snow-washed hides, sprinkling them with salt to marinate. Traveling in the martial world, eating and sleeping outdoors was common, so he always carried salt and seasonings.

By the time he had started a fire and whittled a wooden fork by hand, the venison was almost marinated. He skewered a piece and roasted it over the fire, turning it occasionally and sprinkling more seasonings on top. Soon, the aroma of roasting meat filled the air. He took a deep breath, swallowing hard. Knowing it wasn't cooked yet, he could only keep his mouth watering and carefully turn it over. Granny Tong had been

captured by Boss Wu and his gang, who not only subjected her to severe torture but also provided her with only simple, coarse food every day. And they didn't even feed her properly, just enough to keep her from starving; they even used methods to starve her. During the days they held her captive, she never had enough to eat, let alone anything substantial. Therefore, smelling the aroma of roasted venison under the tree, she couldn't help but swallow hard.

A moment later, the piece of venison in Wu Long's hand was roasted, its aroma even more intense. He swallowed again, then eagerly brought it to his mouth, blowing on it to cool it down before taking a bite, ignoring the heat. He had never eaten venison in modern times, but after arriving in this ancient era, he had occasionally hunted and roasted it while hunting in the wilderness, knowing it was delicious. However, that was a long time ago, and he had forgotten what it tasted like. Now, tasting it again, he couldn't help but feel a deep sense of nostalgia. However, this bite was still a bit hot, and while sucking on the cool air as he chewed, he didn't really taste anything. He swallowed the bite, let out a long breath, and then carefully blew on a piece to cool it down before taking a bite and slowly savoring it.

Seeing that he had roasted it and was already eating it himself, the old woman assumed he was just checking if it was cooked through and didn't think much of it. But seeing him enjoying the second bite so much, she was furious and scolded, "You brat! You roasted the meat and didn't even offer it to your grandmother first, but instead ate it yourself! How rude! Humph, hurry up and bring it over for your grandmother to enjoy!" Although she was eager to eat, she still considered herself superior and didn't want to go and compete for it.

Wu Long didn't turn around, took another bite, and mumbled between chews, "If you want some, come over. Do you want me to bring it? I don't have time for that!" "You brat, wait until your grandmother recovers her powers, and see how I deal with you!"

The old woman was enraged by this and cursed again, grabbing a clump of snow from the ground, kneading it into a ball, and slamming it hard against Wu Long's back. However, the snowball was blocked and scattered by Wu Long's protective inner energy when it hit two feet away, preventing it from hitting him. Tong Lao didn't have high hopes that her snowball would work. After throwing the snowball, she immediately stood up from under the tree trunk and quickly walked over through the snow. Reaching Wu Long's side, she didn't even wait for him to share the food. She grabbed a whole palm-sized piece of roasted venison from the wooden fork, squatted down on the other side, and began to eat it heartily with both hands.

Wu Long watched her wolfing down the food, shook his head and smiled, but didn't try to take it from her. Instead, he forked another piece to roast. He had already eaten a few bites and satisfied his craving, so this time he wasn't in a hurry. He simply turned the snowball carefully while sprinkling on the seasonings. Granny Tong ate so quickly that she was already slightly choking, constantly craning her neck, looking no different from a greedy little girl. Wu Long laughed, untied his water bag from his waist, and glanced at it. Granny Tong quickly took it, and seeing Wu Long's smiling face, she blushed and said,

"You brat, don't laugh!"

But she was indeed starving, so she didn't argue with Wu Long and continued her feast. After finishing the two pieces of roasted meat, each the size of a palm, Granny Tong was finally full, and couldn't help but burp. Wu Long was secretly amazed that she had eaten two large pieces of roasted meat in a row. He glanced at her again, paying particular attention to her slightly bulging belly, and laughed,

"Granny Tong, you've shrunk in size, but your appetite is still quite large!"

Granny Tong knew that arguing with him now would only make herself angry, so she decided to just snort coldly and ignore him. At noon, Granny Tong glanced at the sky and, seeing that the time had come, prepared to get up and practice her blood-drinking skills. She told Wu Long, "It's noon," and then got up and walked to the unkilled deer. She squatted down, lifted the deer's head, and opened her mouth to bite its neck. Seeing her bite the deer and drink its blood like a vampire in a movie, Wu Long exclaimed,

"Wait!"

Granny Tong stopped, stood up, turned around, and looked up at him, saying, "What? Are you scared? Then turn away and don't look!" Wu Long smiled and shook his head, saying, "I'm not scared, but seeing you bite like that seems a bit cruel and not very pretty. Besides, your mouth will be full of blood after you're done drinking, which will be even more unsightly!" He then looked around and found a branch about the thickness of an arm. With a flick of his right palm, two blade energies flew out, slicing off a section about seven or eight inches long with a sharp "snap." He then used his Crane Control Technique to draw the severed section back to him. He then channeled his energy into his five fingers, hollowing out the middle section to create a simple large wooden cup.

Having done this, he knelt down beside the deer, made a small cut on its neck with his fingernail, and poured the blood into the cup. After filling the cup to the brim, he took a handkerchief from his person and plugged the cut, then turned and handed the cup back, asking, "Is this enough?" The deer, already limp from pain and blood loss, collapsed to the ground, whimpering softly. "Troublesome!" the old woman grumbled. Though she called him troublesome, she secretly appreciated his thoughtfulness. She took the cup of blood and gulped it down in large gulps. After drinking the blood and tossing aside the large wooden cup, she immediately sat cross-legged, pointing her right index finger to the sky and her left index finger to the ground. With a "heh," she exhaled two wisps of white breath from her nostrils. Wu Long knew she was practicing the "Eight Desolations and Six Directions, I Alone Am Supreme" technique, so he didn't disturb her, but simply stood aside and watched closely.

He saw the white breath from her nose swirling around her head, gradually thickening until it became a cloud of white mist, completely obscuring her face. Then, he heard her joints cracking like popping beans. After a long while, the cracking sounds subsided, and the white mist gradually faded. He saw her continuously inhaling the white mist through her nostrils. Once the mist was completely inhaled, she opened her eyes and slowly stood up.

When Wu Long looked at her again, he noticed a strange expression on her face; her small face had broadened, as if she had grown a year older. Knowing that each day of her practice increased her skill by a year, equivalent to growing a year older, and now witnessing it firsthand, he was even more amazed by the "Eight Desolations and Six Harmonies, I Alone Am Supreme Technique." Although the Child Granny's alteration of this martial art was somewhat sinister, it was also incredibly miraculous, actually making people young again. If all his women cultivated it, they could remain young forever, and he could enjoy their childhood charm, their youthful beauty, and their mature allure—fully experiencing the three most beautiful stages of womanhood. Thinking of this, Wu Long felt his mouth water again. Fortunately, the Child Granny didn't know what he was thinking, otherwise she would have fought him to the death.

After the Child Granny finished cultivating, she looked at Wu Long and said,

"Where are you planning to take me?"

"Since I've saved you, I'll send you back to Tianshan!"

The old woman looked up at him and said, "Since Wu Laoda and the others can't find us, they'll probably be waiting for us at the various entrances down the mountain. So we don't need to rush. We can stay on this peak for a few more days. It would be best if they dispersed on their own. Otherwise, if we stay here a few more days, I'll recover my strength when I was eighteen, and then I won't be afraid of these demons and monsters. Then we can go down the mountain together, and our chances of breaking through will be much greater. I won't let any of these people off easily then."

Wu Long laughed and said, "I can break through with you now!"

The old woman said, "I don't even care about those clowns like Bu Ping Dao Ren and Wu Laoda." "If I can recover my strength to that of an eighteen or nineteen-year-old, I can deal with them. However, as I told you before, I have a formidable adversary who knows my skill level well and is watching me closely. If she gets wind of this and comes to cause trouble, it will be disastrous. We might be able to hide here in the dense forest on this peak. Even if we can't hide, Grandma can use this time to practice her skills. It's quiet here, and there are many deer and other living creatures, making it a very good place to practice. I have now recovered my strength to that of a ten-year-old, and in another eighty-six days, my strength will be fully restored. Once I recover my strength, I won't have to fear her anymore."

Wu Long had no objections and nodded, "Whatever you say!" He knew that the formidable adversary that Tong Lao mentioned was Li Qiushui. In the original book, she and Xu Zhu were found by Li Qiushui on the snowy peak. But now that it was him, he didn't know if things would change. Moreover, when he rescued Tong Lao yesterday, the direction he chose was different from the direction Xu Zhu chose. The snow-capped peak was still a snow-capped peak, but it was no longer the one in the original book. This place was in a large mountain range with many peaks, and the snow-capped peaks were not limited to the one they were on.

The old woman glanced at him with a slightly strange look and said, "However, these eighty-six days have been fraught with danger, and my strength has not fully recovered. I still need you to protect me. Once my strength has recovered and I have defeated the powerful enemies, I will definitely repay you properly. You can choose whatever you want from my Lingjiu Palace in Tianshan."

Wu Long laughed and said,

"Alright, then let's make a deal. Whatever I want, as long as it belongs to Lingjiu Palace, I can take it with me. I hope you keep your word."

The old woman gave a slight "humph" and said, "My word is as good as gold, and I have never gone back on my word!"

But for some reason, he felt that Wu Long seemed to have some kind of conspiracy. Wu Long smiled smugly and thought,

"I've been waiting for you to say that, old woman. I don't want anything else, I just want you!!"

Chapter 152 of Fallen Dragon World: I Want You!

Chapter 152 of Chasing the Beauties of Jin Yong: I Want You!

Looking around, she found no trace of birds or beasts. The old woman pointed to a snow-capped mountain peak not far ahead and said,

"The snow-capped peak has the most bamboo partridges, as well as sika deer and antelopes, all of which are very delicious. Let's go there. I need to drink fresh blood to practice my skills at noon later, and deer blood is the most delicious! When we get to the peak, you should catch one first!"

Wu Long knew she needed to drink blood to practice her skills, so he simply nodded without saying anything. Then he went over, hugged her tightly, and used his Lingbo Weibu (a martial arts technique) to head towards the snow-capped peak. In less than half an hour, Wu Long had brought Tong Lao to the snow-capped peak. After going a little further up, they found a dense forest. Wu Long settled Tong Lao under a large tree and then went to hunt sika deer nearby.

There were quite a few sika deer on the peak, and he was lucky enough to encounter two not far away, which he caught. He kept one to use for Tong Lao's blood supply at noon, and slaughtered the other. He bled, skinned, and gutted it, then washed the deer meat clean with clean snow, cut it into pieces, and placed them on the snow-washed deer hide, sprinkling them with salt to marinate. Traveling through the martial world, enduring wind and rain and sleeping in the open was commonplace, so he always carried some salt and seasonings with him.

After he had agglomerated the fire and prepared the wooden fork by hand, the venison was almost marinated. He skewered a piece and roasted it over the fire, turning it occasionally and sprinkling more seasonings on top. Soon, the aroma of roasting meat filled the air, and he took a deep breath, swallowing hard. Knowing it wasn't cooked yet, he could only keep an eye on the heat and turn it over. Meanwhile,

Tong Lao, captured by Wu Laoda and his gang, was subjected to severe torture and her daily meals consisted only of coarse food. They didn't even feed her properly, only ensuring she didn't starve; they even used methods to starve her. During her captivity, she hadn't even had enough to eat, let alone anything substantial. Therefore, now, smelling the aroma of roasting venison under the tree, she couldn't help but swallow hard.

A few moments later, the piece of venison in Wu Long's hand was roasted, its aroma even more intense. He swallowed hard, then eagerly brought it to his mouth, blowing on it to cool it down before taking a bite, ignoring the heat. He had never eaten venison in modern times, though he had occasionally hunted and roasted it while hunting in the wilderness after arriving in this ancient era, knowing it was incredibly delicious. However, that had been a long time, and he had forgotten what it tasted like. Now, tasting it again, he couldn't help but feel a deep sense of nostalgia. However, this bite was still a bit too hot, and as he chewed, sucking on the cool air, he didn't really taste anything. After swallowing the bite, he let out a long breath, then carefully blew on a piece to cool it down before taking a bite and slowly savoring it.

Seeing that he had roasted it, Tong Lao ate it herself first, taking the first bite as just a check to see if it was cooked through, and didn't pay much attention. Seeing him enjoy the second bite, she was furious and yelled, "You brat! You roasted the meat and didn't even offer it to your grandmother first, but instead started eating it yourself! How rude! Humph, hurry up and bring it over for your grandmother to enjoy!" Although she was eager to eat, she still considered herself important and didn't want to go and compete for it.

Wu Long didn't even turn around, took another bite, and mumbled between chews, "If you want some, come over. Do you want me to bring it to you? I don't have time for that!" "You brat, wait until your grandmother recovers her strength, and see how I deal with you!"

Tong Lao was furious upon hearing this, and cursed again. She grabbed a clump of snow from the ground, rolled it into a ball, and threw it hard at Wu Long's back. However, it was blocked and scattered by the protective true energy that Wu Long had channeled, and it didn't hit him. Granny Tong had little hope that her snowball would work. After throwing the snowball, she immediately stood up from under the tree trunk and hurried over through the snow. Reaching Wu Long, she didn't even wait for him to share. She grabbed a whole palm-sized piece of roasted venison from the fork, squatted down on the other side, and began to devour it with both hands.

Wu Long watched her wolf down the food, shook his head and smiled, but didn't try to take it from her. Instead, he forked another piece to roast. He had already eaten a few bites, which had somewhat satisfied his craving, so this time he wasn't in a hurry. He simply turned the meat carefully while sprinkling on the seasonings. Granny Tong ate so quickly that she was already slightly choking, constantly stretching her neck, looking no different from a greedy little girl.

He glanced at her again, focusing on her slightly bulging belly, and laughed,

"Granny Tong, you've shrunk, but your appetite is still huge!"

Granny Tong knew that arguing with him now would only make her angry, so she snorted coldly and ignored him. At noon, Tong Lao glanced at the sky and, seeing that the time had come, prepared to rise and practice her blood-drinking skills. She told Wu Long, "It's noon," and then got up and walked to the unkilled deer. She squatted down, lifted the deer's head, and opened her mouth to bite its neck. Seeing her bite the deer and drink its blood like a vampire in a movie, Wu Long exclaimed,

"Wait!"

Tong Lao stopped, stood up, turned around, and looked up at him, saying, "What? Are you scared? Then turn away and don't look!" Wu Long smiled and shook his head, saying, "I'm not scared, but seeing you bite like that seems a bit cruel and not very pretty. Besides, your mouth will be full of blood after you're done drinking, which will be even more unsightly!" He then looked around and found a branch about the thickness of an arm. With a flick of his right hand, two blades of energy flew out, accompanied by a "snap" sound. Two slashes of sword energy severed a section seven or eight inches long from the middle of the deer. He then used his Crane Control Technique to draw the remaining section back to him. He then channeled his energy into his five fingers, hollowing out the middle to create a simple large wooden cup.

Having done this, he knelt down beside the deer, made a cut on its neck with his fingernail, and poured the cup of blood into it. After filling the cup to the brim, he took a handkerchief from his person and plugged the cut, then stood up, turned around, and handed the cup to the deer, asking, "Is this enough?" At this moment, the deer, due to pain and blood loss, collapsed to the ground, whimpering softly. "Troublesome!" the old woman snorted. Although she called him troublesome, she secretly thought he was quite thoughtful. She took the cup of deer blood and gulped it down in large gulps.

Knowing that each day of her practice increased her skill by a year, equivalent to growing a year older, and now witnessing it firsthand, Wu Long was even more amazed by the "Eight Desolations and Six Directions, I Alone Am Supreme Technique." Although the Child Granny's alteration of this martial art was somewhat sinister, it was also incredibly miraculous, actually making people young again. If all his women cultivated it, they could remain young forever, and he could enjoy their childhood charm, their youthful beauty, and their mature allure—fully experiencing the three most beautiful stages of womanhood. Thinking of this, Wu Long felt his mouth water again. Fortunately, the Child Granny was unaware of his thoughts, otherwise she would surely fight him to the death.

After Tong Lao finished her cultivation, she looked at Wu Long and asked,

"Where are you planning to take me?"

"Since I've saved you, I'll take you back to Tian Shan!"

Tong Lao looked up at him and said, "Brother Wu and the others, unable to find us, will most likely be guarding the various paths leading down the mountain. So we don't need to rush; we can stay on this peak for a few more days. It would be best if they dispersed on their own, otherwise, staying here a few more days will allow me to recover my strength from when I was eighteen, and then I won't be afraid of these demons and monsters. Then we can go down the mountain together, and our chances of breaking through will be much greater. I won't let any of these people off easily then."

Wu Long laughed, "I can break through even with you in my arms now!"

Granny Tong said, "I don't take those clowns like the Unfair Taoist and Old Wu seriously at all. If my power recovers to that of an eighteen or nineteen-year-old, I can easily deal with them. However, as I told you before, I have a formidable adversary who knows my true strength well and is watching me closely. If she gets wind of this and comes to cause trouble, it will be disastrous. We can perhaps hide here deep in the dense forest on this peak. Even if we can't hide, Granny, you can still use this time to practice. It's quiet here, and there are many deer and other lively creatures; it's a very good place to practice. I've already recovered to the power of a ten-year-old, and in another eighty-six days, my power will be fully restored. Once I've recovered, I won't need to fear her anymore."

Wu Long had no objections and nodded, "Whatever you say!" He knew that the formidable adversary Granny Tong was referring to was Li Qiushui. In the original book, she and Xuzhu were found by Li Qiushui on the snowy peak. But now that it was him, he wondered if things would change. Furthermore, when she rescued the Child Granny yesterday, the direction she chose was different from the one Xu Zhu had chosen. Although the snow-capped peak was still a snow-capped peak, it was not the same one from the original book. This place was located in a large mountain range with many peaks, and the snow-capped peaks were not limited to the one they were on.

The old woman glanced at him with a hint of curiosity and said, "However, these eighty-six days have been fraught with peril, and my power has not fully recovered. I will need you to protect me. Once I have recovered and defeated the powerful enemies, I will repay you properly. You can choose whatever you want from my Lingjiu Palace in Tianshan."

Wu Long laughed and said,

"Alright, then let's make a deal. Whatever I want, as long as it belongs to Lingjiu Palace, I can take it with me. I hope you keep your word."

The old woman gave a slight "humph" and said, "My word is as good as gold, and I have never broken my promise!"

But for some reason, he felt that Wu Long seemed to have some kind of conspiracy. Wu Long smiled smugly and thought,

"I've been waiting for you to say that, old woman. I don't want anything else, I just want you!!"

Chapter 153 of the Fallen Heavenly Dragon World: An Absolutely Unexpected One Dragon and Two Phoenixes 1
Wu Long thought of this and said, "Well, let's go then!"

"Where to?" the old woman asked involuntarily. Thinking to himself, "Didn't we agree to hide here for ten days or half a month? Why are we leaving again? This kid has such a bad memory! He forgot what he just said!"

Wu Long glanced around and laughed, "Let's find a cave to shelter us from the wind and spend the night. You don't really want us to sleep in the open snow tonight, do you?"

Tong Lao, annoyed by his seemingly idiotic question, huffed, but still stood up, ready to go with him to find a cave. Wu Long smiled at her and began packing. The deer that had been bled seemed to have come back to life after some time and stood up again. Wu Long took out some wound medicine, applied it to the wound, and untied the bark rope binding it, letting it go. The remaining venison from the killed deer was wrapped in deer hide and tied up. Then, carrying the bundle of meat in one hand and Tong Lao in the other, they began searching the mountain for a cave or other hiding place.

By evening, they still hadn't found a cave, but following the tracks in the snow, they found a bear's den. Wu Long killed the bear, and the two of them claimed the den as their resting place for the night. It was a natural cave, now occupied by the bear. The den was quite spacious, enough for two people to move around in.

Having just eaten venison, now they had bear paws to eat. Wu Long looked at the brown bear's thick paws and couldn't help but feel a surge of satisfaction. They skipped the venison for dinner, instead cutting off two bear paws. He and Tong Lao each shared one while reading a novel. Both of them hadn't slept all night and were quite tired. After dinner, they chatted idly for a few moments before going to sleep. Wu Long also peeled off the bear skin, cleaned it with snow, and dried it by the fire. That night, he used the bear skin as a blanket. Tong Lao, being small, used a deerskin, which fit her perfectly. Of course, it had also been dried and processed. The leftover venison was skinned and placed on two layers of clean branches.

The two settled down in the bear's den, spending their days hunting and practicing martial arts. Tong Lao practiced her "Eight Desolations and Six Harmonies, I Alone Am Supreme" technique, while Wu Long practiced his own. They would tease Tong Lao, much to her annoyance, and then discuss the basics of martial arts. Both benefited greatly, gaining a deeper understanding of martial arts.

Tong Lao's age gradually returned, making Wu Long marvel at the wonder of this divine skill. However, he still refused to call her "Grandma." Tong Lao's power was currently inferior to his, but she couldn't do anything about it and could only let him be. After six days, Tong Lao had recovered to the power of a sixteen-year-old. With her current strength, she could easily protect herself from Wu Laoda and his group. However, killing one or two would be manageable, but three or four would be difficult, let alone a whole group.

One day, after breakfast, Tong Lao went hunting with Wu Long. Although Tong Lao had reverted to a childlike state, she still retained some of her girlish nature. However, as her power increased daily, each day was equivalent to growing a year older, and her temperament matured rapidly, shedding the childlike innocence of her initial reversion. But Wu Long didn't want her to quickly become a seventy or eighty-year-old woman, which would be quite boring, so he intentionally encouraged her childlike side to resurface. He would deliberately tease and play with her every day, provoking her to throw a few childish tantrums before stopping. He would play children's games with her, such as rock-paper-scissors, tic-tac-toe, and clapping games. He would also tell her novel stories she had never heard before, piquing her curiosity. Through these efforts, he actually achieved some results. At least for now, Tong Lao often maintained a girlish state, though she wasn't consciously aware of it.

Now, Tong Lao's girlish side was in full swing, as she personally chased a deer all over the mountains. She had now regained the strength of a sixteen-year-old, and using her lightness skill to run quickly on flat ground, she could easily keep up with the deer's speed. Therefore, in no time, she had caught up with the deer and pulled it back by its antlers. She smiled at Wu Long, who was looking at her, and said, "Grandma's skills have improved quickly, haven't they!" Then she sighed, "If I were at my peak, I wouldn't have needed to exert so much effort; I could have captured this beast with a single wave of my hand."

Looking at her youthful radiance and sparkling eyes, and listening to her words, Wu Long couldn't help but sigh inwardly, "The only regret is her voice; it doesn't sound like that of a sixteen-year-old girl at all!" He was carrying two rabbits and a bamboo partridge in his hands. Seeing her drag the fawn over, he said, "These are enough for us to eat for a day!" Then, glancing at the sun, he said, "It's almost noon; let's go back!"

Grandma Tong also looked up at the sun, nodded, and said, "Let's go!" She then placed the fawn's antlers into Wu Long's hand, and empty-handed, she turned and walked back.

After passing through a forest, about two or three hundred steps from the bear's den cave, Wu Long suddenly sensed something and stopped. Just then, a blur appeared before his eyes, and a white figure blocked Tong Lao's path. This person was elusive, appearing and disappearing, their white robes contrasting against the snow-covered ground, making them indistinct.

"Li Qiushui!" Wu Long recognized the person clearly; she was a slender, graceful woman in light white robes, her face veiled by a white gauze. He thought to himself, releasing the two dead rabbits and a dead bamboo partridge from his hands, letting them fall to the ground. The little deer in his other hand darted away, full of life.

"Senior Sister, you seem so comfortable here!" Li Qiushui's soft, melodious voice rang out, quite pleasant to the ear.

Wu Long glanced at Tong Lao, then at Li Qiushui, and thought to himself, "Her voice is much more pleasant than Tong Lao's. Just hearing such a gentle voice makes one want to cherish and protect her! However, she appears gentle on the outside but is ruthless on the inside."

Seeing Li Qiushui blocking her way, Tong Lao quickly stepped back to Wu Long's side. Looking at Li Qiushui, she whispered to Wu Long, "This is Li Qiushui. Not only is her martial arts highly skilled, but her methods are also extremely ruthless. You need to be careful."

Over the past six days, she had gained a comprehensive understanding of Wu Long's abilities and knew he could handle Li Qiushui. Therefore, unlike in the original story, she didn't run away upon seeing Li Qiushui. Li Qiushui's eyes flickered, glancing at Wu Long beside Tong Lao before returning to Tong Lao. She smiled and said, "Senior Sister, it's been so many years since we last met. How have you been? I predicted these next few days would be your auspicious day of rejuvenation. I heard you've gathered many demons and monsters under your command in recent years, and I was afraid they would take the opportunity to rebel. I personally came to Lingjiu Palace on Misty Peak to find you, wanting to lend you a hand in resisting the external demons, but I couldn't find you. I didn't expect you to have found such a wonderful partner and be enjoying yourself here."

She chuckled softly, her jade eyes turning slightly as she looked at Wu Long and asked with a smile:

"What's your name? Oh right, I think it's Wu Long. You obtained the Northern Darkness Divine Art I left behind and cultivated it to such a level; that's truly remarkable. According to the rules of the martial world, I'm your master, aren't I?"

Wu Long bowed respectfully and smiled, "My name is Wu Long!" He remembered that he had ultimately learned the "Northern Darkness Divine Art" and "Lingbo Weibu" left by Li Qiushui in the stone chamber of Wuliang Mountain, hence the bow.

When Tong Lao saw Li Qiushui describe her and Wu Long as a "perfect couple" and mention "enjoying a carefree life" with him here, she couldn't help but feel a flush of heat. However, Li Qiushui's mocking chuckles only fueled her anger. Seeing Li Qiushui gently ask Wu Long's name and say things like "we should get closer in the future," she became even angrier. And seeing Wu Long, having heard her words and already knowing that Li Qiushui was her enemy, still bowing respectfully and responding with a smile, only fueled her rage. Staring at Li Qiushui, he cursed her inwardly as a "thief," then glared fiercely at Wu Long before turning back to Li Qiushui, angrily saying, "You calculated the time when I was dispersing my qi and recovering my strength, sneaking up to Misty Peak. What good intentions could you possibly have? But you couldn't have foreseen that someone would carry me down the peak by some strange twist of fate. You were disappointed to find me empty-handed, weren't you? Li Qiushui, although you still managed to find me today, you're already a few days too late. Of course, I'm no match for you, but you absolutely cannot steal my lifelong divine skills without lifting a finger." Li Qiushui said, "

What are you saying, Senior Sister? Since we parted, I've missed you terribly and often thought of visiting you at Lingjiu Palace. But ever since you misunderstood me decades ago, you've always scolded me without asking why. I'm afraid of upsetting you, and I'm also afraid of being punished, so I haven't dared to come. If you think I have any ill intentions, you're really overthinking it." She addressed her as "Sister" respectfully and affectionately.

Tonglao, however, retorted angrily, "Li Qiushui, things have come to this point, so stop trying to ridicule me with sweet words. You've waited decades, calculating the day I'll regain my youth, intending to harm me. Do you think I don't know what you're up to? Hmph, your plan is clever, but it will fail today." She then glanced sideways at Wu Long.

Li Qiushui glanced sideways at Wu Long, following Tong Lao's gaze, then turned back and smiled, "Senior Sister, you've found a lover to help you?! I wouldn't dare claim to be superior to this Young Master Wu's martial arts, but he practices my style, so he's practically my successor. I think Young Master Wu Long wouldn't team up with a perpetually immature witch like you against me, would he?"

"Senior has indeed been my mentor, and we have a deep connection, but if you intend to kill Tong Lao, I must stop you."

Wu Long had expected Li Qiushui to be angry, but seeing her eyes sparkling with a gentle smile as she looked at him, she didn't seem angry at all. In fact, her eyes were filled with affection. He realized something was wrong, thinking Li Qiushui hadn't been affected, and was about to deliver a finishing blow when he suddenly felt Li Qiushui's eyes sink deep into them, and his head spun. A sudden sense of unease arose within him, and he tried to look away, but his gaze lingered on Li Qiushui's watery eyes, and he was reluctant to turn away.

Just then, a sharp pain and a chill ran down his spine, followed by a penetrating coldness down his neck. The coldness jolted him awake, and he immediately went back to his senses. He reached down and grabbed a handful of snow from his neck. Behind him, the old woman's voice sneered coldly, "Don't let this 'bewitching eye' bewitch you!" He immediately realized that the snowball had been thrown at him by the old woman to wake him up. He turned around, gave her a grateful look, and smiled. The old woman, however, glared at him displeasedly.
