Chapter 138

Seeing that no one was paying attention to them, the Xingxiu Sect members, after calling out for a long time, gradually lost interest and soon fell silent. The attention of everyone present returned to the two players engaged in the game.

No matter how skilled Murong Fu was at Go, he couldn't break this intricate chess puzzle. After making more than ten moves, the longer he pondered, the more his brows furrowed. His four generals behind him were anxious in vain. Wang Yuyan, proficient in all martial arts techniques, had little knowledge of Go and was unable to help. Suddenly, Ding Chunqiu said, "This chess puzzle is designed to trick people; no matter how clever you are, you can't solve it. Hehe, Young Master Murong, you can't even escape the entanglements on the edges and corners, yet you still want to contend for the Central Plains?" His voice was light, yet it seemed to send a powerful, intimidating message straight to Murong Fu's mind.

Murong Fu was deeply shaken, overwhelmed with mixed emotions. His vision blurred, and he saw the black and white chess pieces on the board transform into soldiers of different uniforms, surrounding each other in a relentless battle. He felt trapped within this chaos, his white-clad troops surrounded by the black-clad enemy, struggling to break free no matter how hard he tried. Anxiety grew within him. A voice echoed in his mind, "Your Murong clan's destiny is sealed. Your life's efforts have been in vain, a fleeting dream! Such is fate, what more do you want?" Yet, a voice deep within him said, "No! My father always taught me that human effort can overcome fate. Although my Murong clan is at a disadvantage today, we are not in a hopeless situation." He was intelligent enough to realize someone was instigating him. He bit his tongue sharply, and with a sharp pain, his mind cleared. He spat out a mouthful of blood and gracefully retreated.

He glared fiercely at Ding Chunqiu, then clasped his hands in a fist salute to Su Xinghe and said, "Sir, this game is exceptionally profound; I cannot break it." Wu Long was also greatly surprised to see that he had finally pulled back from the brink under Ding Chunqiu's hypnosis and instigation, and he couldn't help but re-evaluate his determination.

Seeing Murong Fu coughing up blood and injured, Wang Yuyan didn't seem too concerned. She stepped forward and tugged at his sleeve, asking, "Cousin, are you alright?" Murong Fu glanced at Duan Yu, who was staring intently at Wang Yuyan. He deftly brushed her hand away and said, "I'm fine!"

Su Xinghe's face paled, filled with utter disappointment. He murmured, "Alas, is this game truly unsolvable?" Ding Chunqiu sneered, "I told you long ago, this game was set up by the old thief to play tricks on people. And you still stubbornly tried to get into it. Su Xinghe, since you've broken your vow, don't blame me. Let's settle our score!"

"Old Monster Ding, you..." Gu Han and the Eight Friends knew that Su Xinghe's martial arts were inferior to Ding Chunqiu's. They were extremely anxious and stood protectively in front of Su Xinghe, their eyes constantly fixed on Wu Long, their faces pleading.

Wu Long knew that if he didn't step in now, it would be too late. He raised his voice and said, "Old Monster Ding, although we are not from the same sect, I cannot ignore your betrayal of your master and ancestors. Now that we've met, you'd better pray for your own good fortune!"

The eight friends of Gu Han were overjoyed, especially Xue Muhua, who knew that Wu Long's martial arts were far superior to Su Xinghe's, and that dealing with Ding Chunqiu would be easy. Suddenly, a voice entered his ear: "Prepare antidote pills at any time, in case Ding Chunqiu uses poison to harm people!" In an instant, he knew that Wu Long had used his secret telepathic communication technique on him, and he was even more impressed with him.

Ding Chunqiu sneered, "Arrogant! Su Xinghe, you think you can deal with me just because you have this brat? That's truly laughable." The Xingxiu Sect members beside him naturally began to boast loudly again.

Wu Long said, "Whether it's laughable or not, you'll know after you try." Su Xinghe also said, "Ding Chunqiu, Junior Brother Liu is the last disciple of Martial Uncle Li. He has mastered all of Martial Uncle Li's martial arts and is here to eliminate you, a disgrace to the sect." He said this seemingly to Ding Chunqiu, but in reality, he was telling everyone around that this was an internal matter of their sect and that others should not interfere.

Before the battle even started, the praises of Ding Chunqiu's disciples were already rising and falling. He smiled, waved his feather fan lightly, and said, "Then I'll have a go!" Xue Muhua shouted, "Martial Uncle, be careful, it's poisonous!" Wu Long was already on high alert, his internal energy circulating. The invisible poison powder that Ding Chunqiu flicked out from his feather fan was all reflected back two feet away from

Wu Long's body. Wu Long shouted, "Old Monster Ding, is this all you can do, resorting to sneak attacks and tricks?" From a distance of about ten feet, he threw a punch straight at him. But it was completely silent, without making a sound. Everyone was greatly puzzled. Given Wu Long's legendary skills in the martial arts world, his punches should not have been so weak. Ding Chunqiu was also astonished, thinking: Could this little thief be all show and no substance?

All of this flashed through everyone's minds in a flash. Suddenly, Ding Chunqiu felt difficulty breathing, and his long beard moved without wind. He was greatly alarmed. He quickly stepped backward, his right hand held horizontally in front of his chest to protect his vital points, while his left sleeve lashed out. With a soft bang, Ding Chunqiu's sleeve shattered into hundreds of pieces, while his left arm felt a tingling numbness. Several strange and unusual forces came from both front and back. He hurriedly used his energy to dispel those forces, no longer daring to underestimate Wu Long in the slightest.

Since mastering the Nine Yin Manual, Wu Long's understanding and application of martial arts had reached its peak. With a single punch, seven different energies arose simultaneously, one after another. The Yin and Yang energies intertwined and canceled each other out in the air, producing a completely silent sound, much like the "greatest sound is the rarest sound" described in Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching.

Wu Long wouldn't give Ding Chunqiu a chance to breathe. As Ding Chunqiu was forced back, Wu Long pressed forward, unleashing a series of punches. The crowd saw that Wu Long's fist technique was concise yet powerful. Each punch possessed both strength and softness, sometimes silent and sometimes like a thunderous roar—truly a marvelous fist technique, yet they couldn't name it. Su Xinghe and the others were secretly puzzled: Why wasn't the martial art he used part of our Xiaoyao Sect? Could it be a newly created fist technique by Uncle Li? Even Wang Yuyan was secretly pondering what kind of fist technique it was. She knew her cousin and Wu Long were sworn enemies, and if she could figure out the origin of his martial arts, it would greatly benefit her cousin. Unfortunately, even with her vast knowledge, she couldn't explain any of Wu Long's skills.

After ten moves, Ding Chunqiu only defended, but with a distance of six or seven feet between them, even though Wu Long's skill surpassed Ding Chunqiu's, he easily neutralized every punch that reached him. Ding Chunqiu thought to himself: This little thief's skill is so high, and his fist techniques, with their flickering energy, don't seem like the martial arts of the Free and Unfettered Sect. Fortunately, he's wary of my poison skills and doesn't dare get close, otherwise he would be truly difficult to deal with. What is his background? No matter how Ding Chunqiu changed his moves, or how elegant and skillful his palm techniques were, he couldn't get close. All the poisonous energy he unleashed was immediately dispersed by Wu Long's protective power, some drifting onto nearby trees and hissing. Then, the leaves on the trees withered and fell, instantly killing the trees.

Everyone was shocked: what a powerful and domineering poison! They all retreated more than ten feet. They understood perfectly well that Wu Long was clearly afraid of Ding Chunqiu's poisonous energy and dared not approach too closely. Although he could suppress Ding Chunqiu for now, once his power weakened, it would be Ding Chunqiu's chance to counterattack. Murong Fu secretly sneered: "This little thief's martial arts are indeed high, but if he continues to fight like this, even if he defeats Old Monster Ding, his power will be greatly reduced. He'll be in for a beating then!" Xue Muhua secretly took out a specially made antidote pill and distributed it to his fellow disciples, as well as Chu Duanyu and others. Those were antidotes he had specially prepared to counter Ding Chunqiu's poison techniques. Although they couldn't cure poisoning afterward, they were still somewhat effective in preventing it beforehand. Everyone thanked him and accepted them.

Su Xinghe exclaimed, "Junior Brother, your skill far surpasses Ding Chunqiu's. His poison techniques are no match for you. You can attack freely." Immediately, a Xingxiu Sect disciple who had been cheering for Ding Chunqiu shouted, "Nonsense! Xingxiu Immortal's martial arts are unparalleled, and no one in the world can rival him. How could a mere child be his opponent?" Another round of shameless flattery and sycophancy rang out over Ding Chunqiu. Even Murong Fu's face flashed with disgust.

Everyone assumed that Wu Long was holding back because he was deeply afraid of Ding Chunqiu's poisonous skills. Little did they know that Wu Long was merely using him as a test subject; he would only utilize about 30% of his full power. In the original story, even Xu Zhu, whose skill surpassed Ding Chunqiu's, was completely unfazed by his poisonous abilities. How much less so Wu Long, who had devoured the thousand-year-old ice silkworm? With a powerful push off the ground, his body shot upwards like a rocket, his long, strong legs kicking with the force of the wind, wild and unrestrained, like fire and paint. In a moment, his legs transformed into a surging, blazing inferno, flowing and powerful, covering an area of two meters, sweeping towards Ding Chunqiu.

Ding Chunqiu felt as if a wall of air was crashing into him, making it difficult to breathe. He knew this attack could only be dodged, not intercepted. However, in his haste, he couldn't dodge and could only duck and roll backwards. Although he evaded Wu Long's attack, it was utterly shameful for someone of his status to resort to such a "lazy donkey rolling" move.

Normally, even if Ding Chunqiu's martial arts were inferior to Wu Long's, he shouldn't have been defeated so quickly. However, he already harbored some fear towards Wu Long, "Li Shishu's closed-door disciple." Seeing that Wu Long was so young yet possessed inner strength far surpassing his own, he feared that Wu Long was specially trained by Li Qiushui to deal with him. He already felt a degree of apprehension. When Wu Long suddenly unleashed such a domineering leg technique, he was startled. Moreover, Wu Long's Lingbo Weibu (a martial arts technique) was incredibly skillful, instantly closing the distance. In his haste, Ding Chunqiu couldn't parry or dodge.

Ding Chunqiu had never been so disheveled before. His heart trembled with fear, and without stopping or speaking, he leaped backward, covering seven or eight zhang in a flash. The disciples of the Xingxiu Sect could never have imagined that "Old Immortal Xingxiu" would be defeated and flee so easily. Just moments before, someone had been chanting, "Old Immortal Xingxiu is invincible, his fame shakes the world!" But before the praise had even faded, Ding Chunqiu had already run away. The Xingxiu Sect disciples, of course, fled for their lives, dropping gongs, drums, trumpets, and banners all over the ground, fearing that if they were too slow, they would have no chance to escape!

No one expected Ding Chunqiu to be defeated in a single move, so they hurriedly fled. Murong Fu was filled with resentment; this bastard was utterly useless, his fearsome reputation in the martial world was so ineffective. For decades, Su Xinghe and the others had considered cleaning house for the Xiaoyao Sect and eliminating the traitor Ding Chunqiu. Now, seeing him defeated by Wu Long, their joy was beyond words. Su Xinghe shouted, "Traitor, don't run!" and was about to give chase.

Wu Long didn't want to let Ding Chunqiu off so easily, but Murong Fu was watching closely. During his fight with Ding Chunqiu, he'd caught a glimpse of a strange smile in his eyes, and he was puzzled: this man's identity was unknown, the game was over, yet he hadn't left. What was his purpose? He said, "Senior brother, don't pursue a cornered enemy. Ding Chunqiu will be beheaded sooner or later." Hearing this, Su Xinghe stopped, still gritting his teeth.

Wang Yuyan whispered, "Strange, how does he also know Young Master Wu's Lingbo Weibu!" She was still young, and Madam Wang hadn't told her anything about the Xiaoyao Sect, so she knew nothing about it. From the conversation, she knew that Ding Chunqiu and Wu Long were both from the Xiaoyao Sect, but their martial arts styles were vastly different.

Feng Bo'e's expression changed, and he said, "This man's martial arts seem to have improved again; he's truly a formidable enemy for you, young master." Bao Butong's lips twitched, his face full of disdain, clearly echoing his usual catchphrase, "Not so, not so."

Murong Fu's face was gloomy, and he remained silent. He knew of Wu Long's superior martial arts skills and was constantly scheming in his mind, his eyes intentionally or unintentionally glancing at Li Tingdeng. However, he saw that Li Tingdeng and his men showed no reaction whatsoever, making their intentions truly unfathomable.

In Chapter 129 of the first part of the Fallen Dragon World, "Murong Fu's Conspiracy,

" Wu Long, seeing that Murong Fu and the others were not leaving, said loudly, "Young Master Murong, the game here has been resolved. What is the purpose of staying here?"

Murong Fu was equally unyielding, replying, "Don't you think you're meddling too much? This Leigu Mountain doesn't belong to you. What business is it of yours whether I stay or leave?"

Suddenly, Wu Long thought: If Murong Fu isn't leaving Leigu Mountain, could they have some other intention? With them here, I'll have more reservations about talking to Su Xinghe, and I won't be able to see Wu Yazi either. Anyway, I don't care about his skills, so I might as well pretend to leave and see what their intentions are. After making up his mind, he laughed and said, "That's right, we're already at loggerheads. You don't want to see me, and I don't want to see you either. Fine, since you're not leaving, I'll take my leave."

Su Xinghe was anxious and said, "Junior brother..." Wu Long didn't wait for him to finish and continued, "Senior brother, there's no need to say anything. I know my chess skills are poor, and I can't break this Zhenlong Chess Game, so I won't embarrass myself. I'm sorry to disappoint my senior brother. Anyway, there's plenty of time in the future, and I'll come to visit you again. Farewell!" He turned and left. In fact, seeing that Wang Yuyan's mind was entirely on Murong Fu made Wu Long very unhappy. If he could, he really wanted to kill Murong Fu immediately. However, he thought that if he killed him now, Wang Yuyan would probably hate him for life, given her personality. Of course, the most important thing was that he thought of Xiao Feng and his son wanting to take revenge and kill them. He couldn't very well intervene in this matter.

Duan Yu, having met Wang Yuyan for the first time because of Wu Long, was immediately captivated by her beauty. She was identical to the jade statue in the Langhuan Jade Cave, and he stared at her, mesmerized. He kept shifting his gaze between Wang Yuyan and Wu Long, unable to find peace. All of this was observed by Wu Long, who sighed inwardly and was about to speak when Murong Fu spoke first: "Young Master Duan, we feel an instant connection today, and I wish we could share a drink and a chat. Brother Duan, do you have some free time? Where shall we go for a few drinks and discuss the past and present?"

Upon hearing this, Duan Yu raised an eyebrow, his face showing obvious interest. Then, Wang Yuyan happened to glance at him, and he felt his whole body heat up, his ears rang, and his heart nearly leaped out of his mouth. Just as he was about to nod and speak, a voice rang in his ears: "Duan Yu, she is the murderer of my sworn brother's mother, and she is not your fairy sister!!" It was as if a bucket of cold water had been poured over him.

Seeing that Wu Long, who was about to agree, suddenly froze and remained silent, Murong Fu knew it was Wu Long's doing. He coldly snorted, "Didn't you say you were leaving? Why are you dragging your feet?"

Wu Long chuckled, "Just as you said, what does it matter to you whether I stay or leave?" Murong Fu glanced at him and snorted, "Fickleness is not the behavior of a gentleman." Wu Long ignored him and turned to Duan Yu, saying, "Third brother, you are kind-hearted, but you must be careful of some people who harbor ulterior motives!" Murong Fu was furious

, "Wu Long, what do you mean by that? Do you really think the Murong clan has no one to rely on?" He immediately channeled all his internal energy, glaring at him. Wu Long said, "What do I mean? You know it in your heart, do I need to say it?" The scene instantly became tense, on the verge of exploding. Wang Yuyan was secretly anxious: Wu Long's martial arts were no less than Xiao Feng's, how could her cousin... how could her cousin be his match? And she knew nothing about his martial arts, what should she do? Anxious, he said, "Young Master Wu Long, don't be so aggressive just because you have superior martial arts. Don't you think it's unreasonable?"

Wu Long was enraged upon hearing this. Under his immense power, the air immediately rippled violently. "Whoosh—!" The friction from the impact produced a terrifying shriek, like the howling of ghosts and wolves, chilling to the bone and making one tremble. It was truly horrifying to witness and unbearable to hear. Under such a powerful aura, like a demonic general, everyone present turned pale. Fortunately, Wu Long quickly regained his composure and suppressed his aura.

Aura! What is aura? To put it simply, it's the outward manifestation of a person's mental strength. Even the strongest mental power in an ordinary person only creates a sense of pressure when interacting with them. However, the mental power of a martial arts master is within a controllable range. Therefore, if someone intentionally uses their mental power to oppress another, that person will feel immense mental and spiritual pressure. A timid ordinary person encountering the full force of a top master could absolutely be driven insane. Once one's skill reaches the Innate Realm, the aura generated by this mental power becomes even more terrifying. The internal true energy connects with the external天地元气 (heaven and earth energy), and the mental power breaks through the constraints of the physical body, emanating from the mysterious pineal gland on the forehead like electromagnetic waves from a radio station. However, the distance and power of this mental power emitted are directly proportional to the individual's skill level and the nature of their true energy. Upon reaching this level...

When intangible spiritual power is emitted from the body, it can influence changes in the surrounding environment. This is the first step in transforming intangible aura into tangible power, such as a strong wind sweeping around the body, causing withered branches and leaves on the ground to fly and scatter wildly—all changes visible to the naked eye. Then, those with good aptitude, after more than ten years of arduous cultivation, gradually accumulate innate true qi, which gradually condenses from a gaseous state into a liquid state. Their spiritual power is well-tempered, becoming increasingly powerful and pure. When the extremely compressed gaseous true qi completely transforms into liquid true qi, and the spiritual power reaches a certain stage, the aura manifested by the spirit begins to undergo a second transformation. (It gradually progresses from an uncontrollable tangible state to a tangible state that can be controlled by a person. Of course, the uncontrollability here does not refer to the release or size of the aura, but rather to relatively precise control; the controllable tangible state refers to the precise control of the aura.) Those who reach this level are what the common people call peerless masters.

Wu Long's spiritual power had already transformed from an uncontrollable, tangible aura into a roughly controllable, tangible state. This indicated that Wu Long had taken the second step since entering the Innate Realm. Of course, it was only the initial stage of the second step; Wu Long was still far from truly mastering this stage. However, the immense power generated by this stage had already begun to elevate them beyond the realm of normal "humans" in the eyes of everyone present, elevating them to non-human existences.

Regarding the cultivation of Chinese martial arts and internal energy, it can be said that with each meridian opened, one's skill level rises by a realm: from unranked to third-rate to second-rate to first-rate to supreme master. These realms begin only after reaching the lowest level, marking the true start of martial arts cultivation. Before that, it's merely about physical fitness. From the lowest level onward, due to the accumulation of true energy, each time a meridian is opened and a realm is advanced, it's like overcoming a hurdle. The further one progresses, the harder it becomes to advance, and the more difficult it is to overcome these hurdles. This is especially true for the hurdle from first-rate master to supreme master, which is particularly difficult because by the time one reaches the first-rate master level, almost all the meridians in the body are already open. Reaching the supreme master level is no longer... It's not something that can be achieved by simply opening up the meridians, but rather requires the continuous accumulation and refinement of true qi over time, compressing it to an extreme degree. Only one or two out of a hundred people with good aptitude or who work extremely hard can reach the pinnacle. At this point, one's internal energy cultivation can be considered to have reached its peak. The internal energy has been extremely compressed, and the capacity of the meridians has reached the highest level of acquired cultivation. It is unlikely that further efforts in cultivation will yield any further progress. However, at this point, with one's unparalleled martial arts skills, one can be considered virtually invincible throughout the world.

The pinnacle realm and the innate realm represent the watershed between a person's acquired and innate abilities. This hurdle is immense; arduous cultivation alone is futile. Only those with exceptional fortuitous opportunities can comprehend the secrets of heaven and enter the innate realm. And those who can reach the innate realm are extremely rare. The reason the acquired and innate realms are considered a watershed is that they are the first crucial hurdle in the transition from human strength to "non-human" strength, playing a decisive role. Stepping into the second stage of the innate realm, becoming a peerless master, signifies that this "non-human" has begun the first step towards becoming a truly powerful "non-human."

Everyone looked at Wu Long with fear. In truth, everyone had heard of his name, and most martial artists held him in contempt, considering him now hailed as the world's number one master. However, after witnessing Wu Long's terrifying aura, everyone present understood his formidable power. Among the group, Duan Yu's skill was no less than Wu Long's, so he was the least affected.

Although he was heartbroken over Wang Yuyan and his heart was entirely devoted to Murong Fu, he was an open and honest person. Seeing Murong Fu's handsome appearance and gentle manners, he harbored no hatred towards him. He also felt that Wu Long's words were too harsh, and said, "Second Brother Wu, there is some misunderstanding between you and Young Master Murong. I don't think Young Master Murong is like those evil people!" Wang Yuyan, hearing him defend her cousin, gave him a grateful smile, making him feel lightheaded.

Seeing this, Wu Long sighed inwardly: This bookworm is completely infatuated with Wang Yuyan, it's really difficult to handle! He glanced at Wang Yuyan and said, "Duan Yu, you don't know the dangers of the world. This... there are some things I can't say clearly here. Let's talk about them another time!" He couldn't very well say that Murong Fu wanted to use Wang Yuyan to win him over. The four guards—the Fisherman, the Woodcutter, the Farmer, and the Scholar—were experienced and vaguely sensed that Murong Fu was trying to win over Duan Yu. However, as servants, they couldn't say certain things.

Murong Fu then truly felt the terrifying power of Wu Long. No wonder his father had repeatedly warned him not to confront him directly. He recalled that only a few months had passed since their first encounter, and while his martial arts had made significant progress, the other still far surpassed him. It was infuriating! Fortunately, he hadn't come to confront him directly but had another purpose. He then said to Su Xinghe, "I heard from Elder Su that Young Master Wu Long is a disciple of a senior member of your sect surnamed Li. Coincidentally, I also know this senior member, but as far as I know, she doesn't have any disciples. How is Young Master Wu Long her disciple?"

Upon hearing this, everyone was shocked. Su Xinghe even exclaimed, "Could it be that Young Master Li knows my Uncle Li?"

Murong Fu smiled without answering, but everyone knew he had tacitly agreed. Su Xinghe, being an experienced man, quickly regained his composure and asked, "Young Master Li, do you have any proof?" He had never actually met Li Qiushui. She was a disciple taken in by Wu Yazi after he left the Wuliang Jade Cave, but he had only heard that Wu Yazi had a senior sister and a junior sister, and that Li Qiushui was Wu Yazi's wife. He had also heard from Xue Muhua that Wu Long knew the Lingbo Weibu, a skill even he himself didn't know, and that the Beiming Divine Skill offered no other evidence of Wu Long's identity. However, the name of the Xiaoyao Sect was almost unknown to outsiders, yet Wu Long knew it, and had just defeated Ding Chunqiu and knew about Wu Yazi's current situation. Considering all this, he was more inclined to believe that Wu Long was a disciple of the Xiaoyao Sect.

Murong Fu took out a short sword about a foot long from his robes, its gleaming surface inlaid with many precious jewels and jade. He stepped forward and handed the sword to Su Xinghe, saying, "Whether it is or not, the old gentleman will know once he sees this sword."

Su Xinghe took it and examined it. The scabbard was adorned with jewels, and the carving on the hilt was exquisite and profound, but the addition of gems made it seem vulgar, making the whole sword look more like an ornament than a weapon. He carefully drew the sword, and saw that the blade was as smooth as water, clear and cold, with two small ancient seal characters engraved on it: "Autumn Water." With a "clang," Su Xinghe immediately sheathed the short sword, his expression changing several times.

The others could not see the engraving on the sword, but judging from Su Xinghe's expression, they knew that Murong Fu's words were true. Conversely, Wu Long's identity was highly questionable, and they unconsciously turned their gazes to him. Murong Fu sneered repeatedly. Wu Long's heart stirred. He looked at Wang Yuyan, and then recalled Li Qiushui's sudden killing of Duan Zhengchun. He had a clue: Li Qiushui and Madam Wang must want to acknowledge him. He learned of Duan Zhengchun's infidelity from her, which is why he killed him. This sword was clearly the one Li Qiushui used at the Xiaoyao Sect. Why it ended up in Murong Fu's hands? Wu Long knew without a doubt that it stemmed from Wang Yuyan.

It seemed the Murong father and son were very knowledgeable about many things in the martial world; their purpose in coming here today was quite clear. Thinking this, Wu Long smiled coldly, offering no rebuttal. Su Xinghe was even more suspicious. His eyes darted around, and he cupped his hands to Murong Fu and Duan Yu, saying, "I am deeply grateful that you two gentlemen have gone to such lengths to attend my chess game at Hanshan. However, Hanshan is humble and has slighted your honored guests; please forgive me!" Everyone knew he was going to resolve matters concerning his sect and didn't want outsiders to know; this was a clear order to leave. Murong Fu and Duan Yu immediately bowed in farewell and prepared to leave with their entourage.

Wu Long suddenly called out, "Third Brother, wait a moment." He then said to Su Xinghe, "To be honest, my third brother has some connection with our sect." Duan Yu was taken aback. Thinking of the words in the secret manual left by the Fairy Sister, "Kill all the disciples of the Free and Unfettered Sect in the world," he was unwilling to be associated with the Free and Unfettered Sect. Therefore, now that the chess game was over, he wanted to leave as soon as possible. He stammered, "Second Brother, I..." Su Xinghe was surprised and curious upon hearing this. After a moment's thought, he said, "Then please stay a little longer, Young Master Duan."

In fact, Wu Long did not want Duan Yu to spend time with Murong Fu, so that Murong Fu would have the opportunity to win over Duan Yu. He did not necessarily want Duan Yu to do anything. He smiled and said, "Third Brother, would you like to know the origin of that Fairy Sister? You will find out soon enough."

Duan Yu was deeply embarrassed. In the original book, he was already captivated when he saw the jade statue in the Wuliang Jade Cave, and after meeting Wang Yuyan, he regarded her as the incarnation of a fairy. He claimed he dared not disrespect her in the slightest, yet he couldn't help but be completely infatuated with her, unable to extricate himself. Now, seeing that Wang Yuyan's entire attention was on Murong Fu, he couldn't help but feel sorry for himself, thinking: "Miss Wang only has eyes for her cousin. If I follow her, I'll only be making a fool of myself. I might as well stay; it would be good if I could learn about the fairy." However, hearing Wu Long's words so poignantly, he appeared extremely embarrassed.

Murong Fu, seeing that Wu Long seemed to have seen through his intentions again, was furious inside, but remained outwardly calm and left. As Wang Yuyan turned around, she deliberately glanced at Chu Yiyi again, her mind filled with countless questions, and with a silent sigh, she left.

Seeing that Murong Fu and the others had entered the pine forest, Su Xinghe said, "The three young masters and my sect are all very knowledgeable. Please wait a moment; I will be right back out." He had many questions in his mind and no longer addressed Wu Long as "Junior Brother."

Wu Long didn't mind, knowing he was going to consult Wu Yazi. Su Xinghe gestured for everyone to wait, then turned and went to the gatehouse. He knocked respectfully three times, then pressed a button somewhere, and the wooden door suddenly opened. He slipped inside, and the door immediately closed again. Wu Long thought to himself: That's it! The Xiaoyao Sect is skilled in civil engineering and mechanisms; making a small mechanism is a piece of cake for them. Otherwise, why would Su Xinghe have to break down the door every time he delivers food to Wu Yazi? What kind of nonsense would that be!

The Eight Friends of Hangu Pass also knew something was amiss and stood motionless, not daring to breathe. Xue Muhua also looked at Wu Long with great anxiety, his heart filled with fear and trepidation. He was the one who told Su Xinghe about Wu Long's status as a disciple of the Free and Unfettered Sect. If Wu Long was an imposter, he would truly have failed his master.

Seeing this, Wu Long understood his feelings and smiled slightly, indicating there was no need to worry. Then he said to Duan Yu,

"Second brother, I see your skill has deepened considerably, enough to open your Ren and Du meridians and transform acquired strength into innate strength. However, because your cultivation of the Northern Darkness Divine Art is incomplete, coupled with your weak martial arts knowledge, you possess immense internal energy but cannot fully utilize it, which is a great pity. Today, I will teach you the method of opening the meridians."

Although he was somewhat angry that Duan Yu had spoken up for Murong Fu earlier, he knew Duan Yu was a fool and didn't want to say much to him. Instead, he instructed him in martial arts. Duan Yu quickly replied:

"Forget it, I've never liked fighting and killing."

Chapter 139 of the first part of the Fallen Heavenly Dragon World is for the sake of freedom

. Wu Long, after hearing this, looked at Duan Yu and shook his head, laughing, "Third brother, you've been in the martial world for over half a year now. How come you're still so clueless about martial arts? The martial world is dangerous. Without martial arts for self-defense, you can hardly move an inch. You only know the principle of 'I won't offend others unless they offend me,' but you don't realize that sometimes even if you don't offend others, they will still offend you for no reason. Although 'harmful'..." "One should not have the heart to harm others, but one must be wary of others!" You only think of martial arts as a skill for fighting and killing, and you don't want to learn it, but you don't realize that martial arts can also be used to save lives. Moreover, a kind-hearted person like you always wants to intervene in injustices. If you don't have a few martial arts skills, what makes you think you can intervene? Do you think people will change their ways just because you say a few words? In the martial world, strength reigns supreme. Only when you possess great strength will people listen to you.

"Although you now possess the Lingbo Weibu (a martial arts technique) for escaping and the powerful Six Meridian Divine Sword, the Lingbo Weibu is only useful for escaping and dodging; it may not be effective for saving lives. And your Six Meridian Divine Sword is unpredictable. Even if it works, it's probably only effective for killing. The sword energy of the Six Meridian Divine Sword is incredibly sharp, capable of destroying metal and stone, surpassing even real swords; every branch can be fatal. If you don't want to save lives while taking them, the Six Meridian Divine Sword is probably unsuitable. Now I'll teach you a set of martial arts that suits your desire to avoid killing. Don't tell me about 'not caring much about mastery' or 'not learning to fight.' Let me tell you, as long as you're in this martial world, fighting is inevitable!"

Duan Yu was scolded by Wu Long, and although his views differed from his own, they were indeed reasonable. Unable to refute him, Duan Yu's face flushed red as he stammered, "Second Brother is right!"

"If you are, then remember this!" Wu Long glared at him and added, "In the martial world, only strength matters, not reason!"

"Second Brother is wrong!" Duan Yu seized on this remark and retorted, "Everything must be based on reason. All matters in the world, big or small, are governed by reason. As the saying goes, 'With reason, you can go anywhere; without reason, you can't move an inch!'"

Wu Long snorted and said, "That's only if you have the strength. If you're weak and someone kills you with a single blow, how can you reason with them?"

"Uh..." Duan Yu was speechless, his face turning bright red.

Looking at him, Wu Long shook his head and sighed, saying, "Forget it, if you can't accept it right now, so be it. You'll understand these principles one day. I only hope you can remember one sentence." He paused here before continuing, "In the martial world, everything depends on strength!"

Duan Yu nodded solemnly after hearing this and said, "I'll remember it!"

Wu Long wanted to add, "Don't forget it in the blink of an eye," but considering that Duan Yu was ultimately a scholar with a stubborn temperament, difficult to change overnight, he didn't press him further. He sighed and asked, "How's your practice of guiding qi with the method I taught you? Your internal energy shouldn't be out of control now, right?"

Duan Yu nodded and said, "I can control my internal energy freely now!"

"Hmm!" Wu Long nodded and said, "Try using the Six Meridians Divine Sword technique. Don't panic. Just use your mind to guide your qi and perform it according to the method I taught you." When he taught Duan Yu the method of guiding qi with the method, he had already thought about how to make Duan Yu use the Six Meridians Divine Sword as he pleased.

The true qi of the Northern Darkness Divine Art is stored in the Dantian (lower abdomen), unlike ordinary internal energy which is stored in the dantian. Moreover, Duan Yu had learned the method of guiding qi taught to him by Emperor Baoding, which dispersed his internal energy from the Dantian into his internal organs. Without a dantian and an empty dantian, there was no source of qi, so the Six Meridians Divine Sword was sometimes effective and sometimes not. If Duan Yu could use the Six Meridians Divine Sword as he pleased, he could also teach Duan Yu an ordinary internal energy technique that uses the dantian as the storage point. In this way, true qi has a source and can be controlled at will. However, the Northern Darkness Divine Art is extraordinary. Other internal arts only need to cultivate a portion of internal energy in the dantian before it is absorbed, assimilated, and stored in the Tanzhong Qihai (CV17). Duan Yu had suffered greatly from the intense pain and swelling in his Tanzhong, so whenever he felt qi in his Tanzhong, he would disperse his true qi to his internal organs. It was as if he hadn't practiced at all, and it was still useless. Therefore, Wu Long devised a method to prevent Duan Yu from dispersing all the qi in his Tanzhong to his internal organs, but to keep a portion in reserve, and not to disperse it when there was no pain or swelling.

This method was simple, but there was another more troublesome part, which was for use when his Tanzhong qi was exhausted. When using it, the true qi in his internal organs was first mobilized to the Tanzhong Qihai, and then shot out from the Tanzhong Qihai through the acupoints of the Six Meridians Divine Sword. The Tanzhong acupoint became a transit point. Duan Yu's absorbed true energy was first stored here, then dispersed and channeled into his internal organs. When needed, the energy from his internal organs was first channeled to the Tanzhong acupoint, and then released according to the circulation route. Practice had proven both methods effective.

At this moment, Duan Yu's Tanzhong acupoint still contained some true energy, so upon hearing this, he nodded and stood up. He simply guided his energy with his mind, following the circulation route of the Six Meridians Divine Sword. When the true energy reached his fingertips, he pointed his middle finger at a flower branch beside the flowerbed, striking it with the Zhongchong Sword. With a "whoosh," the flower branch snapped. He then extended his finger again, and before the branch could fall to the ground, it was caught by his foot-long sword energy and cut in two.

Wu Long nodded and then had Duan Yu try the other meridians one by one before stopping. At this moment, Su Xinghe also came out and said to Wu Long and Duan Yu:

"Junior brother, Young Master Duan, Master invites you."

He led the two to the wooden door. Duan Yu, seeing the darkness inside, felt a pang of fear and turned to look at Wu Long, wondering what he was planning. Wu Long knew that Wu Yazi wanted to see them, and simply said, "Is it Uncle-Master Wu Yazi who wants to see us?"

Su Xinghe was greatly alarmed. To keep this secret, he had all his disciples deafened and mute. Although part of the reason was to submit to Ding Chunqiu's tyranny, another reason was to prevent the news that Wu Yazi was still alive from leaking out. He usually took care of Wu Yazi's meals himself, confident that no one knew. He had been somewhat skeptical when Wu Long had transmitted the message to him before, but now he believed that Wu Long had known all along. He immediately said, "Since Junior Brother already knows, then please come in. Master has been waiting for a long time."

Wu Long sighed and said, "Third Brother, then let's go in." He went in first, and Duan Yu followed. Entering the wooden hut and passing through a door, they arrived at an empty room, even brighter than the outer one, with a gentle breeze occasionally blowing. There, a man sat suspended in mid-air. Duan Yu was startled, but Wu Long, knowing he was tied to a rope with the other end attached to a beam above his head, wasn't surprised.

This man was none other than Wu Yazi. His beard was over a foot long, yet not a single hair was gray. His face was like jade, without a single wrinkle. Although he was no longer young, he still looked spirited and elegant. Even though Wu Long knew he was exceptionally handsome, seeing his appearance now, he couldn't help but secretly admire him. No wonder Li Qiushui and Tianshan Tonglao had fought for him for most of their lives; his current appearance hinted at his youthful charm.

Seeing his extraordinary demeanor, Duan Yu respectfully bowed and said, "This junior, Duan Yu of Dali, greets senior!" Wu Long, noticing the short sword Murong Fu had just presented to Su Xinghe, was momentarily distracted and forgot to bow. Wu Yazi said to Wu Long, "Why didn't you bow to me?" His tone carried a hint of reproach and curiosity.

Wu Long was about to answer when he suddenly saw Wu Yazi lightly flick his sleeve, releasing a surge of hidden energy. Wu Long's internal energy reacted naturally, circulating rapidly. Wu Yazi let out a soft "Eh," and abruptly withdrew his probing energy. Even so, a small portion of his energy was still absorbed and assimilated by Wu Long's internal energy. Wu Long knew this was Wu Yazi testing him, intending to teach him a small lesson; however, his skill in releasing his internal energy was extremely sophisticated.

Seeing Wu Yazi's surprised expression, Wu Long said, "Actually, I don't know how to address you either." Wu Yazi asked curiously, "What do you mean?" Wu Long said, "I won't hide it from you, senior. I learned the martial arts of the Xiaoyao Sect, but I didn't join the sect. I wanted to ask Physician Xue for help to treat me, so I borrowed your sect's name." Wu Yazi said, "It's alright. You drove away that traitor Ding Chunqiu, which can be considered as doing your part for me. I will formally accept you into the Xiaoyao Sect." He then looked directly at him.

Wu Long knew he was waiting for him to perform the full kowtow, but he really didn't want to kneel and kowtow to him. Pretending not to know, he simply bowed deeply and said, "Wu Long greets Martial Uncle!" For some reason, Wu Ya Zi didn't ask him to kowtow, but simply accepted the bow and said, "Both of you have practiced my sect's Northern Darkness Divine Art, and what's rare is that your skill is extremely profound. However, Yu'er seems unable to regulate it, his skill is deep but mixed, while..." Looking at Wu Long, he continued, "Wu Long's skill is not as profound as Yu'er's, but it is extremely pure, it is innate true qi, not inferior to mine. Moreover, it has even combined with another extremely advanced internal energy, the two complementing each other, further increasing its power." He had not only tested Wu Long's internal energy, but also Duan Yu's.

Duan Yu, completely convinced, said, "I have never liked martial arts. I accidentally learned your sect's skills and somehow acquired this power. It wasn't of my own volition." He then recounted his accidental entry into the Wuliang Jade Cave and how he inexplicably absorbed someone else's internal energy. Indeed, almost all his power had been handed to him; given his personality, he probably wouldn't have absorbed someone else's. Wu Long, standing nearby, finally understood his experience in Dali, which was not much different from the original story. The only difference was that the futon before the jade statue was broken, yet Duan Yu still knelt and kowtowed a thousand times.

After listening, Wu Yazi sighed deeply, "Did she really say she would kill everyone in my Xiaoyao Sect?" His voice was filled with endless regret and helplessness. Duan Yu, honest and straightforward, saw his sorrow and, though reluctant, nodded.

Wu Yazi murmured, "It was I who wronged her first..." After a long while, he turned to Wu Long and said, "According to Yu'er, you discovered the manual first. Why did you leave it behind?" He was also an extremely intelligent person, able to draw inferences from one instance to another. Before Duan Yu arrived, the futon had already broken, and Wu Long also practiced the Beiming Divine Skill. He naturally thought that Wu Long had arrived there first.

Wu Long suddenly realized that he really had no feelings for this famous figure in "Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils," and could not say that he felt any respect for him. He said indifferently, "It's nothing. It was written on the scroll that those with the right destiny would know. Although my nephew was destined to obtain it, it doesn't mean that I am the only one with the right destiny. Since I have memorized it all, there's nothing wrong with leaving it there and waiting for the right person in the future!" Duan Yu blushed and felt a pang of embarrassment. Thinking about how he had taken the manual out of the cave and then torn it up himself, he thought to himself: Second Brother's temperament is so carefree and indifferent; I am really not as good as him.

Wu Yazi nodded, saying, "It's truly admirable that you didn't try to keep this peerless secret manual for yourself!" Changing the subject, he suddenly asked, "Do you know why I had Xinghe set up that intricate chess game?"

Duan Yu exclaimed in surprise, "So that game was set up by you, senior! Unfortunately, my chess skills are insufficient to break it, disappointing you!"

Wu Yazi laughed, "That's not your fault. Even I couldn't solve it myself. My original intention was to find a talented disciple to inherit my mantle and do something for me, but from what you've said, that place is long gone; going there would be pointless. What I didn't expect was that Wu Long could defeat my traitorous disciple, Ding Chunqiu; it was truly beyond my expectations."

Wu Long thought to himself: "Yes, it seems he doesn't know that Li Qiushui has remarried into the Western Xia palace. Alas, he's quite pitiful, framed by his disciple and separated from his wife and children. He probably doesn't even know where his daughter is." A feeling of sympathy arose for him. Unexpectedly, his slight sigh did not escape Wu Yazi's notice, who asked, "Wu Long, what are you sighing about?"

Wu Long was startled and said, "Nephew, are you thinking that the reason Uncle set up the chess game was to hope that a person of exceptional intelligence would inherit the mantle of our predecessors and go to the Wuliang Jade Cave to learn martial arts from Master Qiushui, ultimately to deal with Ding Chunqiu? But Master Qiushui left that Jade Cave many years ago, and even all the martial arts in the 'Langhuan Jade Cave' were taken away by Master's daughter." Upon hearing this, Duan Yu realized that the woman living in the Jade Cave was Li Qiushui, and thought: So the fairy sister's name is Li Qiushui. He still thought the jade statue was Li Qiushui.

Wu Yazi was startled and hurriedly asked, "You mean A'Luo? Do you know where she is now?" Wu Long feigned surprise and asked, "A'Luo?" Wu Yazi sighed, "I won't hide it from you, A'Luo is the daughter of your master and me!" Wu Long then said, "There's a Mantuo Manor in Dongting Lake, Suzhou. The manor owner is a woman, and her manor has a 'Langhuan Blessed Land.' I wonder if that's where Senior Sister A'Luo is. I've been to Mantuo Manor before, and I found it strange that Madam Wang and the jade statue in the cave looked six or seven parts alike. So she's the daughter of a senior, no wonder she looks so much like Senior Li's jade statue."

Wu Yazi knew he had mistaken the jade statue for Li Qiushui, so he didn't explain and asked, "Is she alright now?"

Wu Long nodded and said,

"Don't worry, she's doing very well, and she has a beautiful daughter."

Wu Yazi murmured:

"So she was lying to me. She told me back then that she threw her daughter off a cliff. I thought I was truly childless. Turns out, A'Luo is still alive." (

Chapter 141 of the first part of the Fallen Heavenly Dragon World: Determined to Found a Sect)

After a long while, Wu Yazi suddenly raised his head and laughed loudly, making Duan Yu wonder to himself: Has he gone mad? Even with his profound skill, the internal energy contained in Wu Yazi's laughter made his eardrums ring and his heart pound. After a long while, Wu Yazi stopped laughing, seemingly talking to himself, yet also seemingly speaking to the two of them:

"So she lied to me. I, Wu Yazi, did not die without an heir. Alas, Qiu Shui, you thought I loved Cang Hai, but you don't know that I still love you. The reason I was so obsessed with the stone statue was simply because that jade statue was my life's masterpiece, and it was only because I was so captivated by it. You yourself acted childishly, deliberately flirting with male concubines in front of me. How could I tolerate that? In a fit of anger, I left you, only to be taken advantage of by that traitorous disciple..."

Duan Yu couldn't understand what he was saying, but Wu Long knew the whole story. Just as he had thought, Wu Yazi did not fall in love with Li Cang Hai. It seemed that Li Cang Hai was still young at the time, and with Wu Yazi's martial arts skills, talent, and looks, what kind of woman couldn't he have? If he really wanted to pursue Li Cang Hai, wouldn't he have won her over with his bare hands? Why would he need to use jade as a substitute? It's just strange that the last painting in the original book wasn't of Li Qiu Shui and Tianshan Tong Lao. The book didn't explicitly state who they were.

Thinking of this, Wu Long said, "But there's still one thing I don't understand, please enlighten me, Uncle!" Wu Yazi's worried brows relaxed, clearly in high spirits, and he said, "Ask away!" Wu Long saw that although he was physically disabled, his martial arts skills were still intact, so why would he fear Ding Chunqiu and remain holed up in this wooden house for decades? Previously, he had no respect for Wu Yazi and was eager to find out the reason behind his actions. But now, seeing his cheerful expression, freed from his inner turmoil, and extremely happy with him, he found himself unable to ask. He knew that this was yet another inner turmoil he had created for himself. He stammered, "Has Uncle-Master really not left this wooden hut for decades?"

Wu Yazi, with his profound wisdom, understood his unspoken meaning and laughed, "You want to ask why, despite my still considerable skill, I haven't left this hut to find that traitorous disciple Ding Chunqiu for decades? Indeed, all these years I, Wu Yazi, have been consumed by my own inner demons, remaining unchanged for decades, binding myself in the process." He had already seen through the illusions earlier, and now he spoke without restraint.

At this point, Wu Long finally confirmed that he had truly achieved enlightenment and laughed, "Riding the righteousness of heaven and earth, controlling the transformations of the six qi, to roam in the boundless, this is true freedom. Uncle-Master can finally truly be free in this world."

Wu Yazi beamed and nodded, saying, "Yu'er, go outside for a while. I have something to discuss with Wu Long alone!" Duan Yu, who had been listening intently, was completely bewildered, constantly wondering: Is the fairy sister named Li Qiushui or Li Canghai? He'd have to find an opportunity to ask his second brother. Hearing Wu Yazi's call, Wu Long bowed and withdrew from the house.

Wu Yazi beckoned to Wu Long and smiled, "Wu Long, come here!" Seeing his expression, Wu Long knew he wanted to pass on his skills, and his heart was filled with mixed emotions. Wu Yazi's seventy-odd years of internal energy were extraordinary, especially since he himself possessed the Northern Darkness True Qi. He didn't need to dissipate his own power; he could gain decades more simply by doing so. However, he was never a greedy person. His current skill, while stemming from the early accumulation of the Northern Darkness Divine Art, was merely a foundation. Most of his power came from his hard work and cultivation. Confronting nature in the sea, forcing his potential to the brink of life and death, had resulted in a level of pure skill that even Wu Yazi marveled at.

Wu Long also knew that the power of the Free and Unfettered Sect was connected to one's own bloodline; passing on his skills was tantamount to ending his own life. Now, Wu Yazi's inner turmoil was resolved, but many things remained unfinished. He couldn't bear to see him end his life like this.

Seeing his hesitation, Wu Yazi suddenly leaped up, somersaulted in mid-air, and landed headfirst on top of him. Wu Long looked up at his smile and finally made his decision. Just as Wu Yazi's head was about to hit his own, he raised his hands and swung them towards Wu Yazi's shoulders. Wu Yazi chuckled and also reached out with both hands to meet Wu Long's.

However, Wu Long was now using the first technique from the Nine Yin Manual—deflecting, picking, and pulling—all techniques that used the opponent's force against them. Wu Yazi, in mid-air, couldn't exert his full strength. Although he used several exquisite techniques, he ultimately couldn't break free from Wu Yazi's protective hands. In a flash, the two exchanged over ten feints and parries. Wu Yazi finally sighed, withdrew his palm, and leaped back, saying, "I never imagined your skills were so formidable! No wonder you were able to drive away Ding Chunqiu! But you weren't using our sect's martial arts. Why is that?"

Wu Long didn't hide anything, replying, "This is a martial art I learned by chance. Please don't be offended, Uncle!" Wu Yazi laughed, "It's alright. Our Xiaoyao Sect is magnanimous, embracing all things to achieve its boundless potential. This is quite different from other sects, and we don't forbid our disciples from learning other sects' martial arts. I didn't mean any harm to you just now, so you can rest assured!"

Wu Long nodded, "I understand that. Uncle, do you intend to pass on your skills to me?" Wu Yazi exclaimed in surprise, "You guessed it! Uh, you don't want to accept it?" Wu Long nodded again.

Wu Yazi continued, "You possess the Northern Darkness True Qi. If you were to add my inner strength, your power would be unparalleled, if not unprecedented. Yet you don't want it. You should know that with over seventy years of cultivation, apart from my senior sister, I dare say there is no one in the world who can surpass me. Even Qiu Shui would be slightly inferior." His tone revealed deep arrogance, yet he seemed like a child offering someone a valuable gift, which the other person dismissed with disdain, leaving him somewhat sullen.

Wu Long thought to himself: Who said that? In terms of skill, there are at least two people who are no less powerful than you. I doubt those two eunuchs in the palace are any less skilled than you, and you wouldn't believe the nameless old monk's cultivation level even if I told you. Of course, he wouldn't say this aloud. He clasped his hands in a respectful bow and said, "Of course, I have no doubt about my master's cultivation. However, I've heard that the internal energy of our sect is connected to bloodlines. If my master were to pass on his power to me, wouldn't that be indirectly harming him? I would never accept that." There was another point he didn't say aloud, but muttered to himself: Even if you give me your power, it might not be of much use to me. Even with the combined power of the three grandmasters of the Xiaoyao Sect, Xu Zhu was only at that level; whether he could fully integrate and master it throughout his life was questionable. My current power may not be as strong as Xu Zhu's at his peak, but I am constantly improving. If I were to accept your power and then stagnate, wouldn't that be a loss? It's better to make my stance clear now.

Wu Yazi was gratified and stroked his long beard, saying, "The fact that you can say these words shows that you are not a bad person. Before, seeing your exceptional comprehension, I was a little worried that you might harbor malicious intentions like Ding Chunqiu. Now, I am even more at ease entrusting the Xiaoyao Sect to you."

Wu Long said, "Uncle-Master, you are mistaken! Your previous concern was that I was no match for Ding Chunqiu, but now it has been proven that my current martial arts are sufficient to deal with that villain and cleanse the Xiaoyao Sect of its filth. Moreover, Uncle-Master still has a few things to finish, how can you give up so easily!"

Wu Yazi said "Oh," and then said, "Tell me, what things have I not finished?" Wu Long said, "Then please forgive my impertinence, nephew. As I mentioned before, Uncle-Master also has a daughter, but I won't go into that the decades you've spent confined to the wooden hut." "But now that my master's heart is open, father and daughter are not reunited. Moreover, my master Qiu Shui is still alive. Wouldn't it be too unfair to her and her mother if he were to pass away like this? From the scroll of the Northern Darkness Divine Art she left behind, it can be seen that she still has feelings for you."

Wu Ya Zi's face darkened, and he said, "Didn't Yu'er say that she wrote in the manual: to kill all the disciples of the Free and Unfettered Sect for her?" Wu Long said, "That's love that runs deep, and hatred that runs deep. She always thought that you were killed by Ding Chun Qiu, which is why she wrote that sentence. With your wisdom, master, couldn't you see that?" This sentence was half true and half false, but it is certain that Li Qiu Shui had mixed feelings of love and hate for Wu Ya Zi. Otherwise, she wouldn't have been heartbroken that Wu Ya Zi loved her sister before she died in the original "Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils". Although Wu Long didn't like Li Qiu Shui's personality, he had a strange fondness for her. Perhaps it was because she left behind the scroll of the Northern Darkness Divine Art that he had his current fortune.

Upon hearing this, Wu Yazi's eyes gradually became misty as he drifted into memories of the past. After a long while, he sighed and said, "Back then, I was the one who wronged her first, and that's why she... Alas, I wonder if she can forgive me!"

Wu Long couldn't help but exclaim, "Uncle-Master, don't you understand? So many years have passed, how could Uncle-Master Qiushui still blame you? You are, after all, husband and wife, and you have a daughter. Life is fleeting, like a white horse galloping past a crack in the wall. You have suffered for each other for decades. It would be liberating for Uncle-Master to leave, but can you bear to let Uncle-Master Qiushui continue to spend the rest of her life in torment?"

Wu Yazi's body trembled, and he said, "I never imagined that I, having lived this long life, would be less insightful than a young junior!" Then, his eyes flashed with a dazzling light as he stared directly at Wu Long, a half-smile on his face. "You are truly extraordinary, Wu Long. The martial arts you are currently learning are quite diverse. In other sects, this might not be a good thing, but for disciples of my Xiaoyao Sect, the more the better. You possess the Beiming Divine Art, which can easily neutralize any true energy. However, my Xiaoyao Sect has many other exquisite martial arts. Now that my body is crippled, my days are numbered within the next few years. From today onwards, I will impart all the secrets of our sect to you..." "You, you must study diligently. That traitor Ding Chunqiu is no match for you now. You must eliminate him in the future."

Wu Long nodded and said, "I will definitely follow my master's instructions!"

Afterwards, Wu Yazi taught Wu Long all the "Xiao Wuxiang Gong," "Tianshan Liuyang Zhang," and some other profound martial arts. He explained to Wu Long clearly how to use "Tianshan Liuyang Zhang" to create and neutralize "Life and Death Talismans," as well as the key points of "Beiming Shen Gong," the various footwork variations of "Lingbo Weibu," and the methods of raising qi. Wu Long's skill was superb, so he learned it with twice the result with half the effort. Some of his previous doubts about practicing martial arts were also easily resolved.

Then Wu Yazi removed the ring from his hand and said solemnly, "Wu Long, since you have learned my Northern Darkness Divine Art, you are truly my third disciple. However, your talent and ability far surpass your two senior brothers. Now, I am passing on the leadership of the Xiaoyao Sect to you. This is the sect's token, the 'Xiaoyao Immortal Ring.' You must take good care of it. In the past, your grandmaster forbade the name of the Xiaoyao Sect from being leaked, and I obeyed, only accepting two disciples. Now, we have come to this end. Now, I hope you can strive to carry forward

the sect." Wu Long was overjoyed and said, "Uncle-Master, rest assured, I will definitely make the Xiaoyao Sect the number one sect in the world and live up to Master's expectations." After speaking, he raised his hands and accepted the ring.

Wu Yazi said with satisfaction, "I believe you can do this. I have already taught you all the skills I needed to teach you. Now go back. Don't forget to eliminate that traitor Ding Chunqiu for your master."

Wu Long nodded and said, "Uncle-Master, rest assured, I will complete this task with my life. I just never thought that what Ding Chunqiu schemed for his whole life but could not obtain, I would so easily obtain."

Even though Wu Yazi had seen countless people in his life, he had never seen anyone like Wu Long. He laughed and said, "Interesting, interesting! I am relieved that my Xiaoyao Sect has 'gotten' you into my hands." With this laugh, his mind was at ease, and he felt more relaxed than ever before. He wanted to sing out loud. He pressed down on the wooden board behind him, and with a few soft booms, the stone beneath him parted, revealing several booklets. He said, “Although your martial arts come from the scrolls she left behind, you learned my Northern Darkness Divine Art. You’ve called her ‘Senior Uncle’ for so long; you should also learn her martial arts. The Northern Darkness Divine Art combined with the Lesser Formless Art will multiply its power. If you have the opportunity to learn my Senior Sister’s Eight Desolations and Six Harmonies Supreme Art, then combining the three will make you invincible. You can dominate the world or retreat to roam freely in the mountains!”

Wu Long was overjoyed and thanked him profusely, asking, “Senior Uncle, what are your plans next? Perhaps I can still help you.” Wu Yazi said, “Although mastering our sect’s martial arts to a high level can prolong life and maintain youth, it will also have its limitations.” "If I die even a day, my body will be crippled by Ding Chunqiu. Although I have divine skills to protect me, many of my meridians are blocked. I will reach my end in a few years. It doesn't matter where I go."

Wu Yazi stroked the short sword in his hand and said, "Although Murong Fu has ulterior motives, this sword is something I gave to Qiu Shui back then. Your Martial Aunt Qiu Shui was originally a member of the Western Xia royal family. Since she is not in Wuliang Mountain, she must have returned to Western Xia. I should go find her!" Suddenly, his arm slashed upwards, and the rope attached to the beam snapped with a crack. At the same time, he used his internal energy to break the ropes on his body. A rope about three feet long was held in his right hand. He forced it through with his internal energy, and it became a straight wooden staff. He stretched out his left leg, sprang to the ground, and leaped away.

Wu Long did not expect him to leave so suddenly, with the speed and agility of a swan. He called out, "Martial Aunt, you've left already?" and chased after him. But they were a step too late. By the time they reached the door, Wu Yazi was nowhere to be seen, leaving only Su Xinghe and Duan Yu standing there, dumbfounded. The distant echo of Wu Yazi's long, laughing chant could still be heard: "Riding the righteousness of heaven and earth, controlling the transformations of the six qi, to roam in the boundless, this is true freedom."

Su Xinghe suddenly knelt down, respectfully kowtowing three times in the direction Wu Yazi had disappeared, murmuring, "Master Uncle has finally opened his heart and attained true freedom; this disciple is infinitely gratified." Standing up, he immediately noticed the ring on Wu Long's hand. He shifted his body, facing Wu Long, and knelt down again, saying, "Su Xinghe, disciple of the Free and Unfettered Sect, pays respects to the new sect leader." This startled Duan Yu, who jumped up, looking at Wu Long with a mixture of surprise and joy.

Wu Long reached out and pulled him up, saying, "I'm newly appointed as the leader of the Xiaoyao Sect, so a simple bow from you is enough; no need for kowtowing." Su Xinghe didn't insist, bowing respectfully and saying, "I humbly obey the leader's decree." He then stood

respectfully to the side with his hands at his sides. Duan Yu then stepped forward and said, "Congratulations, Second Brother, on becoming the leader of the Xiaoyao Sect!" Wu Long suddenly felt a surge of childlike innocence and teased him, "Third Brother, now that I'm the leader of the Xiaoyao Sect, will you still listen to Fairy Sister and kill everyone in the Xiaoyao Sect?" Upon hearing this, Su Xinghe's expression changed drastically. Seeing Wu Long's smiling face, he knew it was just a joke, but he was puzzled: Why would the leader make such a joke?

Duan Yu immediately became embarrassed and uneasy again, saying, "What the fairy sister said is true, but... but killing people? I would never do that."

Wu Long laughed heartily and said, "Third brother, you're overthinking it. Actually, that sentence on the scroll was just an angry outburst. You don't need to take it to heart. Second brother will explain the reason to you in detail when we have time. Come on, let's go see the injured first."

Duan Yu's expression calmed down a bit, and he said, "Yes, second brother, please." Su Xinghe said, "Sect leader, I'll lead the way!" Wu Long suddenly said, "Wait, I almost forgot something. Please wait a moment." He turned and went into the wooden house, to Wu Yazi's room, and stuffed the martial arts books left by Wu Yazi into his pocket. Although everyone here was trustworthy, he was afraid that someone like Murong Fu might secretly return and have them stolen, which would be a huge loss. Better safe than sorry!

After leaving the house, Su Xinghe naturally didn't ask him what was going on, and led the two to the place where everyone was recuperating. The three walked past a row of pine trees, and into the woods were more than ten wooden houses. In front of the houses were several vegetable plots, and next to them was a pond where dozens of ducks were splashing and playing. Wu Long couldn't help but sigh, "What a beautiful pastoral scene."

Su Xinghe said, "That's where my men make their living. They recuperate in their houses, so the environment is rather simple and unpretentious for our distinguished guests."

Wu Long said, "Young Master Duan is my sworn brother, and the others also have a great connection with our sect, so they can't be considered outsiders." Su Xinghe respectfully replied, "Yes." Wu Long added, "Senior Brother, you joined the sect decades earlier than me and are extremely loyal to our Master Uncle. From now on, just call me 'Sect Leader Junior Brother,' there's no need to be so formal." He knew that if Su Xinghe called him by his name or "Junior Brother," he would never say it, so he simply stated it directly. Su Xinghe readily agreed.

Part 1: Fallen Dragon World Chapter 142: Determined to Found a Sect 2

The three arrived in front of the wooden house and saw Xue Muhua walking out of one of the rooms. Xue Muhua quickly bowed and said, "Greetings, Master, Uncle!" He only nodded slightly to Duan Yu. Su Xinghe pointed at Wu Long and said, "Muhua, from now on, your Uncle Liu will be the new sect leader of my Xiaoyao Sect. Kneel down and greet him!"

Xue Muhua quickly knelt down and said respectfully, "Xue Muhua, the third-generation disciple of the Xiaoyao Sect, greets Sect Leader Uncle!" Seeing that he was about to kowtow, Wu Long helped him up and said, "There's no need for such a grand ceremony with me. If it weren't for your guidance on using the Thousand-Year Ice Silkworm to heal my injuries, my internal injuries would still be incomplete. You are my great benefactor."

Xue Muhua was about to say something, but Wu Long gestured for him to remain silent. Perhaps it was because he had become the leader of the Xiaoyao Sect, but he unconsciously exuded the air of a leader. Su Xinghe was overjoyed: the young leader already possessed such a grand demeanor; truly a blessing to our Xiaoyao Sect. Master, oh Master, you have such discerning eyes! Before, he had only been respectful to Wu Long out of boundless respect for Wu Yazi and the proper etiquette for a leader, because Wu Long was the new leader appointed by Wu Yazi. Now, he truly trusted Wu Long. Xue

Muhua was slightly taken aback, but quickly understood and said, "As you command, Uncle-Master, this way please." The three of them, led by Xue Muhua, entered a wooden house.

Su Xinghe had more than twenty deaf-mute men under his command, all of whom came to pay their respects to him. Wu Long told them to stand up, then sat down in a chair and said,

“In the martial arts world, when people talk about which sect has the most power and prestige, everyone will mention Shaolin or the Beggars' Sect. Even the Manichaeism, considered an evil sect, is renowned. But no one knows about my Xiaoyao Sect. If we're talking about the breadth and strength of martial arts, besides Shaolin, my Xiaoyao Sect has been the undisputed leader in the martial arts world for the past hundred years. While Buddhism reveres Shaolin, Taoism takes my Xiaoyao Sect as its leader! The reason our Xiaoyao Sect remains unknown is due to our sect rules, and the fact that our true direct descendants will never exceed three. The other disciples are at best first-rate, with most being second-rate. If this continues, the decline of the Xiaoyao Sect is inevitable. Now that I've become the sect leader, I've decided to make sure my Xiaoyao Sect appears openly before the world, becoming a sacred place still revered in the martial arts world!”

Everyone was stunned for a moment, then overjoyed. Su Xinghe said:

"Senior brother, do you intend to establish a sect?"

Wu Long nodded and said,

"That's right, the Free and Unfettered Sect should appear before the world. Riding the right course of heaven and earth, controlling the six qi, to roam the boundless realm, this is the meaning of Free and Unfettered!"

After speaking, Wu Long exuded an incomparably powerful aura, his expression as passionate as a divine dragon. His head slowly rose, just as his proud and arrogant face, looking down on heaven and earth, slowly emerged from the clouds of the nine heavens. Under his aura, everyone couldn't help but feel the urge to completely submit. Su Xinghe excitedly said,

"It's all up to the sect leader to decide!!"

The most important thing in the martial arts world is to establish a sect. Those who can do this are either martial arts masters or heroes. Even a small sect is worthy of the respect of the martial arts world, Wu Long said;

"Alright, since that's the case, Junior Nephew Xue and Senior Brother Su, send out invitations to the martial world. I've already decided on the sect's address: Wuliang Mountain in Dali. The date is set for today, three months from now. You all need to be careful not to let Ding Chunqiu take advantage of the situation. If you hear any news about him, let me know. This time, I won't let him get away with it."

"Yes!"

Everyone answered in unison. Under Su Xinghe's guidance, everyone started packing their things. Duan Yu asked in surprise,

"Second Brother, are you planning to establish a sect in Dali? That's wonderful! But isn't there already a Wuliang Sword Sect on Wuliang Mountain?"

Wu Long said,

"Two tigers cannot share one mountain. Although the Wuliang Sect is just a sick cat in my eyes, since I've already set my sights on this mountain, they'll have to move out whether they like it or not. If they don't know what's good for them, then they can't blame me."

Duan Yu quickly said,

"Second Brother, isn't that a bit much? Taking someone else's things and then killing them is robbery."

Wu Long looked at Duan Yu, a smile appearing on his lips.

"Let me correct two mistakes you made. First, Wuliang Mountain doesn't belong to the Wuliang Sword Sect; they've merely occupied it. Second, people in the martial world only value strength; everything else is empty talk. I never said I wanted to destroy their sect; I just wanted them to move. If they refused, I'll forcibly leave them there. They only have two choices: leave or join my Xiaoyao Sect. Also, your uncle has already become a monk, and your father has met with misfortune. Dali now belongs to you, and Wuliang Mountain also belongs to you. I think you wouldn't make the wrong choice between me and the Wuliang Sword Sect. And, third brother, Dali now..." "In these difficult times, I urge you to manage him with more care. His regime is not as stable as you imagine. Not only is Duan Yanqing plotting, but several powerful families in Dali are also eyeing him covetously. You have the character to be a good emperor, but you are only suited to be a peaceful emperor. As payment for Wuliang Mountain, I will help you eliminate some unstable factors with ruthless methods. As for the Song Emperor, he is my disciple. Whether in politics or military affairs, with me here, the Duan family of Dali is as stable as a rock. Alright, you go back to Dali first. I have some things to take care of. I will return to Dali to see you in a few days."

After saying this, he left the house without waiting for Duan Yu's reaction. Wu Long wanted to return to Luoyang first, but Luoyang was not his final destination; there was another place. To be honest, he didn't know the exact location of this destination, only that it was west of Luoyang. This place is the gathering place of the "Ten Thousand Immortals Assembly," where the masters of the thirty-six caves and seventy-two islands under the control of the Lingjiu Palace of Tianshan gathered to discuss matters in order to rebel against the control of the Lingjiu Palace. He had to rush there to rescue Tianshan Tonglao, who was kidnapped down the mountain by Wu Laoda because she was practicing the "Eight Desolations and Six Directions, I Alone Am Supreme Technique" and happened to be rejuvenated.

He was extremely interested in the "rejuvenation" of the Heavenly Mountain Child Granny, and now that he was personally in the world of Tianlong, he naturally wanted to see this living specimen of "rejuvenation" with his own eyes. Curiosity is universal. Given the opportunity to see such extraordinary people and events firsthand, he certainly didn't want to miss it.

Besides this reason, he also didn't want the Heavenly Mountain Child Granny, a top expert in Tianlong and one of the three grandmasters of the Xiaoyao Sect, to die unjustly at the hands of Wu Laoda and his group without Xu Zhu's intervention. It would be such a waste for her to die like that. In the original story, Murong Fu and his companions were searching for A'Zhu, traveling westward from Luoyang, seemingly having gotten lost and stumbled upon the "Ten Thousand Immortals Gathering." But now, as Murong Fu and his group were wanted criminals by the Song Dynasty, they were unlikely to risk their lives to find a girl like A'Zhu. Therefore, he couldn't follow them. He followed Murong Fu and the others to the "Ten Thousand Immortals Gathering," the very same group that had risked their lives to find A'Zhu. Because of this incident, their chance encounter might change, and they might never meet at the "Ten Thousand Immortals Gathering." Therefore, he now had to search for it himself. Traveling west from Luoyang, whether he would run into them depended entirely on luck.

However, since the figures from the seventy-two caves and thirty-six islands would be gathering from all directions, he would likely encounter them nearby. Moreover, most of these people were not from the Central Plains, and their clothing differed from that of the Central Plains, making them easy to recognize. Therefore, he was about 80% confident he could find the location of the Ten Thousand Immortals Gathering. If, unfortunately, he only had a 20% chance, then he could only sigh helplessly.

After traveling about ten miles, he stopped before a dense forest, turned around, and looked at the small hill he had just passed, laughing loudly: "Brother Murong, please show yourself!" A moment later ,

a clear laugh rang out, followed by a flash of a figure who leaped up the hillside. The newcomer was about twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old, handsome, his pale yellow robes fluttering gently in the evening breeze, a long, sheathed sword at his waist—it was Murong Fu. Immediately after Murong Fu appeared, the sounds of his robes whistling through the air filled the air as the four retainers of the Murong clan—Deng Baichuan, Gongye Qian, Bao Butong, and Feng Bo'e—appeared on the hillside, standing on either side of Murong Fu. Finally, a white figure flashed, gracefully appearing beside Murong Fu—it was Wang Yuyan.

Wu Long was slightly taken aback, thinking, "I didn't expect Wang Yuyan to practice martial arts! I hadn't noticed her at Leigu Mountain; firstly, I hadn't considered it, and secondly, Wang Yuyan was a beginner, her skill was very shallow, not much different from an ordinary person, which was why I hadn't noticed her." However, judging from Wang Yuyan's current skill level, although it wasn't very profound, the lightness skill she had just displayed was extremely impressive. He sighed inwardly, "Wang Yuyan's martial arts are indeed extraordinary!"

Seeing that all his men had arrived, Murong Fu smiled at Wu Long and said, "Brother Wu Long, what keen hearing you have!" As he spoke, Deng Baichuan, Gongye Qian, Bao Butong, Feng Bo'e, and the others gradually dispersed to both sides, intending to surround Wu Long and cut off his escape route.

Wu Long, however, had no intention of escaping. Although he saw Deng Baichuan and the others' actions and knew their intentions, he didn't care. He simply looked at Murong Fu and laughed, "Brother Murong, you've been chased by my sworn brother and his son, hiding all day long. Your hiding skills have certainly improved. If I didn't have such keen hearing, I probably wouldn't have known

you were following me like a shadow!" Murong Fu's expression changed upon hearing this. Before he could react, Feng Bo'e had already raised his knife and pointed it at Wu Long, shouting, "Hey Wu, watch your mouth!" Bao Butong laughed, "Hey Wu, your insidious skills have the potential to rival your Grandpa Bao. Why don't you call me 'Grandpa,' and I'll pass on my skills to you!"

Wu Long glanced at Bao Butong and said, "With your... "With such meager skills, you dare to boast and brag all the time. You truly don't know your own limitations and have absolutely no self-awareness. It's one thing to lack self-awareness, and it's not entirely your fault you're stupid; you can only blame your parents for not being good enough to raise you. But to be so stupid as to constantly flaunt your stupidity, mistaking it for intelligence, is truly the height of stupidity. A dog, indeed, can't change its nature!"

Bao Butong was furious upon hearing this, but instead laughed and said, "Someone is farting all over the place. Young Master, Miss Wang, and the three brothers, did you see it?"

Feng Bo sneered, "Yes, it really stinks!"

Deng Baichuan chimed in, "Yes, it really stinks!" Gongye Qian remained silent, Wang Yuyan looked down at the ground, and Murong Fu wore a mocking expression.

Wu Long smiled upon hearing this and added, "Yes, a dog's fart really stinks!" He had previously said that Bao Butong "can't change its nature," and now he was referring to Bao Butong as a "dog."

Bao Butong was furious again and was about to retort when Murong Fu gave him a wink, signaling him to shut up. Although he usually liked to talk back, he knew when to restrain himself, and Murong Fu was his master, so he gave Wu Long a slight snort and said nothing more. Murong Fu nodded secretly to Bao Butong, then turned to Wu Long, cupping his hands and saying, "Brother Wu Long, you took something from my Murong family, could you please return it?"

Wu Long asked curiously, "Brother Murong, what did I take from your Murong family?"

Murong Fu's expression hardened, and he said, "Brother Wu Long knows perfectly well, so don't pretend to be ignorant!"

"I really don't understand!" Wu Long shook his head, then asked with a smile, "I wonder which eye of yours saw me take something from your Murong family!"

Murong Fu snorted coldly, "Brother Wu Long, let's not beat around the bush. You are now a prominent figure in the martial arts world, yet you act so shamelessly! The Northern Darkness Divine Art and the Lingbo Steps you cultivate all belong to my cousin's maternal grandmother, Li Qiushui. You went from an unknown nobody, absorbing the power of others to cultivate to such a level, shouldn't you return them to their rightful owners?"

Wu Long was taken aback, not expecting that he was referring to this matter. How did he know? "Yes, last time I fought Li Qiushui, although I used the Blazing Sun True Qi, it was essentially transformed from the Northern Darkness Divine Art. Others couldn't distinguish it, but she, as a peerless master, naturally could. And since I'm not Wuyazi's disciple, it's easy to guess where I learned the Northern Darkness Divine Art. But Murong Fu knows my martial arts, yet he still dares to intercept me, so confident? Is it just because he has Li Qiushui backing him up? No, there must be some conspiracy.

" "Hmph, young master! He's just a rogue, yet you still think he's someone important!" As soon as Murong Fu finished speaking, Bao Butong chimed in, not missing any opportunity to attack Wu Long. However, when he said this, his position was no longer the same, but slightly shifted. The other three also shifted slightly, and the four of them had already surrounded Wu Long while Murong Fu was talking to him, each holding a weapon and carefully guarding against a sudden attack from Wu Long.

Wu Long was too lazy to pay attention to Bao Butong, treating it as mere barking. Looking at the sky, it was already dusk; the sun had set. The dense forest here, shrouded in shadow, appeared even darker.

With a clang, a flash of cold light, and Murong Fu drew his long sword, pointing it directly at Wu Long. He said coldly, "Brother Wu Long, if you're willing to return what you took, we can leave each other alone and call it a day. If you insist on not returning it, then I'll have to offend you!"

He knew Wu Long was a skilled martial artist, and in the Drum Valley earlier, he knew his skills had improved significantly, far surpassing their previous duel in the Apricot Grove. He secretly thought that he alone was no match for Wu Long, and even with Deng Baichuan and the other five, they weren't entirely confident. Therefore, he first questioned Wu Long, hoping Wu Long would sense their superior numbers and fear him. He said that if Wu Long handed over the *Northern Darkness Divine Art*, the matter would be "set aside," giving Wu Long a chance to survive and earning his life. In reality, his plan was that even if Wu Long surrendered, he would still have to take action to eliminate this formidable enemy. But if Wu Long refused, then action would be the only option. He immediately focused his attention on Wu Long, waiting to see his response.

"It seems Murong Fu didn't actually encounter Li Qiushui, but only learned about her from Wang Yuyan, which is why he coveted my martial arts. Strange, why didn't Li Qiushui pass on her skills to Wang Yuyan? Why be so presumptuous as to try and steal my food? Hmph, my patience has its limits."

Thinking this, Wu Long coldly said to Murong Fu, "If you want to fight, then hurry up and attack. Stop wasting my time with all this nonsense!"

Murong Fu snorted angrily, raised his sword, and stepped forward, aiming a half-stab at Wu Long's chest. Midway through the attack, the sword tip suddenly trembled, unleashing a three-part attack, striking Wu Long from the upper, middle, and lower body. Wu Long swept his hand horizontally, unleashing three scorching blade energies with a single palm strike, each whistling through the air

, aimed at Murong Fu's upper, middle, and lower body. Knowing the power of these scorching blade energies, Murong Fu didn't want to take them head-on. Seeing their approach, he lightly leaped high into the air, dodging the three strikes. As he leaped, he shouted, "Attack!" The four retainers of the Murong clan surrounding Wu Long, upon hearing this, drew their weapons and charged from four directions. Murong Fu, still in mid-air, flicked his longsword, transforming it into a shower of cold stars that descended upon Wu Long.

Wu Long swung his palms left and right, sending two blade energies towards Deng Baichuan and Gongye Qian respectively. With a quick side somersault, he swept his right leg down, delivering a powerful kick that whistled through the air towards Feng Bo'e's left rear. He flipped over, his toes barely touching the ground, and charged towards Bao Butong to meet the attack. In a flash, he was upon him, his hands flashing, leaving afterimages as if a thousand hands were grabbing at Bao Butong's head.

Bao Butong couldn't distinguish the real from the fake, and didn't know how to counter. He roared, protecting his vital chest, and unleashed a flurry of palm strikes. In an instant, he unleashed seventeen or eighteen palms, each imbued with internal force. But after this barrage, he felt as if none of his palms had landed squarely. Just as he was still in shock, he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his waist, and half his body became immobile. His chest tightened, and someone grabbed his collar and lifted him up. In his panic, he saw it was the wicked Wu Long. Just as he was about to curse, a stream of true energy from Wu Long's fingers pierced through his body and struck his mute acupoint, instantly sealing it and rendering him speechless.
