After the incident, Jiang and Cheng were arrested and sentenced, and Sun was also apprehended. The prosecution alleged that Sun, along with Wang, Jiang, and Cheng, repeatedly engaged in sexual relations, violating Article 301 of the Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China. The facts of the crime were clear, and the evidence was conclusive and sufficient; therefore, he should be held criminally liable for the crime of group sex.

The case was heard in the Lankao County People's Court.
