[Incestuous Martial Arts] The Unscrupulous Young Master (Complete) - Part 1

Chapter 001: The Thief's Life - Night Raid on the Silver Vault.

Dressed in black, Lu Rufeng had been lying on the roof of the Imperial Treasury's No. 4 silver vault for almost two hours. The guards on duty kept pacing back and forth. They strictly followed the rules, standing opposite each other with their backs to each other. Only during the brief moment between them passing each other and walking in opposite directions was there an opening behind them. But attempting to remove tiles from the roof of the Imperial Treasury in such a short time was no joke. Even the slightest disturbance would alert the vigilant guards. Their leader had warned them long ago: "Losing silver from the national treasury is equivalent to losing your own heads. It doesn't matter how much; even a single ingot missing will cost you your lives!"

The chilling wind blowing from Siberia on the roof felt like knives scraping Lu Rufeng's flesh; he was unsure if his ears were still on his head. For ease of movement, he never wore thick clothes even in the coldest weather, scaling rooftops with agility. But he never expected it to be so cold tonight, and worse, he never imagined it would be so difficult—having to wait on the roof for so long! But Lu Rufeng didn't want to give up. Having finally made it in, he couldn't go back empty-handed; as the saying goes, a thief never leaves empty-handed.

Two guards were about to pass each other again! Lu Rufeng's heart began to race. He secretly circulated his strength, stretching his limbs without moving, checking if his joints were still flexible. He was truly worried he would freeze to death on the silver vault, only to tumble down in the wind, giving the guards a free ride. Fortunately, his usual training could withstand this hardship.

After the easy success at Vault No. 3 last month, the soldiers would have been extra vigilant. He had counted the guards as soon as he entered; this vault of less than thirty rooms had twenty guards on duty in sections, and another sixteen mobile sentries patrolling in two groups day and night. He had to completely avoid the patrols, and act only when two guards in this section were walking in opposite directions.

When the two guards had passed each other and were four or five meters apart, Lu Rufeng carefully pinched the edge of a tile. He secretly channeled his inner energy, gathering power at his fingertips, and pulled hard. The tile loosened slightly. He then lifted the top of the tile and slowly pulled out the loosened piece, gently placing it far away, afraid of accidentally bumping into it and making a sound.

Lu Rufeng's fingers tightened on the second tile; this one was easier. After removing all six tiles, he took out a small, exquisite shovel and gently dug away the soil beneath the tile, followed by the thick layer of sorghum stalks. He then switched to a sharp dagger and cut the bundles of sorghum stalks one by one. Finally, there was an opening in the roof large enough for him to pass through!

He peered inside and was greatly disappointed; there wasn't much silver left! It seemed the Qing Dynasty's treasury was truly empty! Even so, even for a thief like Lu Rufeng, it would take dozens of trips to steal it all. The silver was too heavy; carrying too much on his person would make it impossible to escape. Each time, he would steal the large ingots of silver from the rack in two separate trips, first stealing them onto the beam, then delivering them to the roof in two more trips, before finally taking them all at once. If he was discovered early, he would have to sacrifice his life, quickly discarding some silver before using his light-footed skills to escape.

The edge of the hole was cut so neatly that there was nowhere to hold onto if you weren't going in. He braced his arms against the edge of the hole and slid in, first landing lightly on the beam. There was no one inside the silver vault. Lu Rufeng leaped down, took out his personal chain, and carefully took silver ingots from the silver shelf and placed them inside.

He weighed the silver in the chain, fastened it around his waist, glanced up, and then leaped onto the beam. He carefully took out the silver ingots one by one and placed them on the beam, then floated down again. He counted the number of silver ingots in the chain; it was already the same as the number on the beam. He hesitated for a moment, then took another ingot from the shelf and put it in the chain before landing on the beam with satisfaction. He carefully packed the neatly arranged silver coins into his saddlebag. The hole he'd dug was only about two people's height from the entrance; with his light-footed skills, carrying twice the usual amount of silver shouldn't be a problem.

Lu Rufeng fastened one end of the saddlebag and then strapped it to his back. This saddlebag was specially made for stealing from the treasury; it consisted of two sections. If he was pursued, he would use a sharp dagger to instantly cut it in half, discarding one half to escape.

When Lu Rufeng leaped and climbed out of the hole again, the guard was walking with his back turned. He secretly rejoiced at his good fortune. He didn't rush away but leisurely took out a note he had prepared beforehand, which read "Notorious Bandit," and placed it under a tile. He left such a note after every robbery; this time, he wanted to play a trick on the guards who were on high alert.

Overcome with excitement, he accidentally stepped on a loosely placed roof tile. With the heavy load of silver behind him, his movements weren't as agile as usual. Before he could even bend down, the tile collided with the tiles below, making a crisp sound! "

Damn it!" Lu Rufeng cursed inwardly.

"Thief!" The guards below were quite alert, immediately hearing the crisp sound of the tile colliding on the roof.

Lu Rufeng immediately got up to escape, but the guards quickly surrounded him, shouts erupting everywhere.

He hurriedly ran towards the other end, but upon reaching it, he found a patrol of guards! Just as he was about to turn around, a loud shout rang out: "Where do you think you're going!" A dart flew towards him, but he bent backward, and the dart grazed past him! Just as he rose to flee west, he suddenly felt a heavy blow to his left shoulder. A sharp pain nearly made him faint. He quickly used his light-footed skill to fly towards a sparsely populated area. But as soon as he landed, guards rushed over. He dared not linger, so he untied his saddlebags and threw them away, not even leaving half, because he knew the wound must be serious.

The guards behind him pursued relentlessly, and some even shot arrows at him. Luckily, he was unharmed; none of the arrows hit him.

At this moment, he desperately needed medical treatment, but he dared not enter a pharmacy with such an injury, lest he walk into a trap. In this world, people's hearts had become corrupt, and it was hard to guarantee that no one would betray him. He had no choice but to endure the pain and flee towards a valley.

Lu Rufeng staggered through the valley, his right hand covering the spot on his left shoulder where he had been stabbed by a poisoned dart. Thick, dark blood flowed down his left arm. He looked back every now and then to see if the pursuers were closing in. It was still dark, and in the dense woods of the mountains, visibility was extremely poor. He stopped and listened intently; the shouts of the pursuers had faded away. He finally breathed a sigh of relief. He had always been confident in his light-footed skills and never carried any wound medicine. Now, he truly regretted his actions. He had never expected that such a skilled fighter would be hidden among the guards of the silver vault. He had been in this line of work for many years and had never failed. Today, it seemed that underestimating the enemy had a price to pay, but this time the price was far too heavy. He felt breathless and had no choice but to lean against a pine tree. Suddenly, he noticed a vicious wolf watching him intently not far ahead. Normally, he wouldn't be afraid of a wolf, but now it was completely different. He felt utterly powerless. Had he spent the last twenty years of his life simply preparing a meal for this wolf? Lu Rufeng couldn't help but sigh, "Is my lifelong reputation going to end here?"

His mournful wail echoed through the valley, accompanied by the rustling of the pines; besides the monotonous echoes, only the sound of the wind could be heard. A biting cold wind swept through the valley floor, and Lu Rufeng suddenly felt dizzy. He abruptly collapsed under a tree, unconscious.

(Chapter 2: Life Hanging in the Valley)

This was a hungry wolf. It was accidentally shot by a hunter who had sneaked up behind it while it was mating with the female wolf it adored. At the time, all its attention was focused on the beautiful female wolf's rear end, and the hunter's arrow pierced its left leg. Fortunately, no second arrow came, allowing it to escape. The female wolf ran very fast and disappeared in the blink of an eye. Although it was lame, its fierce appearance frightened the hunter, who didn't give chase. So the wolf limped away, traversing mountains and valleys, nearly falling off cliffs several times. On one occasion, if it weren't for a clump of thorns growing halfway up the mountain, it would have been dead. The leg injury prevented it from using its hunting skills. Even when an old, slow-moving hare passed by, it could only drool and stare as the hare went by. It had sadly traveled hundreds of miles, through countless sunrises and sunsets, without tasting a single bite. It couldn't stomach the grass, devoid of any bloody flavor; its stomach was unbearably hungry. It dragged its injured leg to a stream to drink, but there wasn't a single dead fish in the water.

When Lu Rufeng, clutching his wounded shoulder, staggered into the woods, it spotted him. It had quietly followed him until Lu Rufeng was too exhausted to walk any further and leaned against a pine tree trunk. Only then did it turn to face him, its eyes glowing with a bluish light. It figured it would have a good meal that night.

But Lu Rufeng's sudden howl startled it. It heard the power of a male in that deep, powerful cry. It paused, feeling utterly defeated by its injured leg. It didn't attack rashly; it had to be absolutely certain, or it would lose its life!

As Lu Rufeng collapsed against the pine tree, a surge of elation filled its heart. It moved slowly forward, step by step closing the gap between its ideal and reality, its heart pounding in its throat. Days of hunger had made its vision blurry, and in the darkness, its keen sense of smell led it to its prey lying on the ground.

Lu Rufeng quickly regained consciousness. When he felt the sharp, long whiskers brushing against his face, he suddenly remembered the wolf with the blue glow in its eyes! Instinct compelled Lu Rufeng to gather all his strength, his hands suddenly rising to grab the wolf's neck, simultaneously sitting up. The wolf desperately kicked at the ground with its hind legs, its front claws scratching incessantly, the sharp claws leaving deep gashes on Lu Rufeng's arms, blood flowing from the claw marks. Lu Rufeng strained, concentrating all his strength in his arms. He let out a howl even more terrifying than a wolf's howl.

After a long time, the wolf suddenly slipped from Lu Rufeng's grasp and fell to the ground with a thud. Lu Rufeng also collapsed; he had simply lost all strength, causing the wolf to fall. Even Lu Rufeng himself didn't know when he had strangled the wolf to death!

Lu Rufeng drew a dagger from his waist and accurately slit the wolf's throat. Hot, pungent blood gushed from the throat. Lu Rufeng immediately crawled forward half a foot and pressed his chapped lips to the wolf's neck. The warm wolf blood flowed into his mouth, and he sucked desperately. But the wolf had already lost some blood. In fact, the wolf wasn't completely dead; it was only temporarily suffocating. When his dagger pierced its throat, its heart suddenly pounded, and its limbs kicked a few times, expelling all the blood from its body before it straightened its four legs.

Only when the wolf's blood stopped flowing did Lu Rufeng wearily remove his mouth from the wolf's neck. He was truly exhausted; his fainting spell earlier was due to sheer fatigue. Now he felt much better. He lay back on the ground, needing to catch his breath to recover some strength. He didn't know how many dangers lay ahead. He hadn't expected to be able to handle a wolf in his condition, unaware that it was a hungry wolf, just as badly wounded as himself!

The pre-dawn darkness had passed, and the faint light of day gradually touched the treetops. Looking up, the branches were faintly discernible, and some bold birds had begun their tentative chirping. Lu Rufeng used his dagger to cut a branch about the thickness of a shovel handle, using it as a crutch. He could use it to probe the way and for self-defense. In this secluded valley and deep forest, he might encounter some wild beasts. With this crutch, he could at least fight several wolves for a few rounds, not to mention the giant python among them.

Using a stick to probe the path, Lu Rufeng walked step by step downhill. By the faint light of dawn, he judged that he would reach the opposite slope a little further; that was the sunny side, much better than the shady one. In some places, thorns grew thickly, sometimes tearing his clothes, sometimes piercing his flesh with long thorns. But none of this outweighed the pain in his shoulders. Several times he nearly fainted, but each time, it was his unwavering belief that he would make it out that supported his weary legs as he struggled forward.

He didn't know how long he walked, but the morning light clearly swept across the treetops, casting its glow into the forest. Lu Rufeng could see clearly that the valley floor was ahead. Crossing the stream at the bottom of the valley would lead him to the sunny slope on the other side. A surge of excitement welled up within him; he felt as if once he reached the sunny slope, he could finally rest.

He drank some water from the stream at the bottom of the valley, stood up, and struggled to climb up again. There was a flat, large rock, perfect as a sleeping mat. He really wanted to lie down and have a good sleep, even if he were eaten by wolves in his sleep! He used to think that the things he wanted most in the world were money, power, and beautiful women, but now, he suddenly felt that none of those things were desirable. What he envied most was a peaceful and restful sleep!

He finally climbed onto the large rock, but as soon as his bottom touched the ground, he fell asleep.

(Chapter 3: Strengthening Kidneys and Bones)

When Lu Rufeng woke up, he found himself lying on a wooden bed! He thought he was dreaming. He had even had such a dream while struggling up the sunny slope. Could it be that when a person's desires are too strong, they have such dreams? He reached out to pinch the flesh on his waist, but as soon as he raised his left arm, it hurt terribly. It wasn't a dream! Then where was he? If he were captured by the soldiers, he wouldn't be allowed to lie in bed; he'd be bound hand and foot. He knew those soldiers hated him to the core. He could even imagine the ridiculous sight of the current emperor unleashing his fury in the Golden Palace. If the emperor caught him, wouldn't he be torn to pieces? What imperial grace? That was for the servants who served him. He, this self-proclaimed "Great Bandit," was definitely his mortal enemy.

Lu Rufeng turned his head again for a closer look. It turned out to be a thatched hut, with long straw mats sticking out of the window. The so-called window was just a small hole propped up with wooden sticks, used for light or to observe the outside. The hut was very low; someone of Da Gen's stature would have to touch the roof if he stood up. It was more like a thatched shed than a hut. However, it looked sturdy enough to withstand ordinary wind and rain.

Lu Rufeng, enduring the pain in his shoulder, slowly rolled over. His long braid had been untangled, and it seemed to have been combed. He clearly remembered that when he climbed onto that large rock, it was still in that cloth bag. Whenever he went on important missions, he would first coil up his long braid, put it in that bag, and then tie it on his head. Who was being so attentive? Could there be a woman here? He grabbed the smooth braid and brought it to his nose, hoping to smell a woman's scent that would excite him. But he was disappointed. Lu Rufeng dejectedly threw the braid aside. Only then did he begin to clear his head slightly. What woman could there be in this deep mountain forest! He must be desperate for a woman. He couldn't help but think of the pair of snow-white breasts on the chest of the young widow, Yu Tao'er, in the east of the city. As he thought about it, he imagined his hands reaching into Yu Tao'er's bosom, kneading her soft breasts. Before he knew it, a burning desire ignited within him, and the thin blanket covering him caused him to swell.

He suddenly heard footsteps outside, but the lust wouldn't subside. In desperation, he had no choice but to endure the pain and turn his body to the side.

"You're finally awake!" The speaker was a man not yet forty, wearing a blue hat and a faded gray robe, with a long braid hanging down his back. He was seven feet tall, but thin and gaunt, not like a hunter, yet his eyes were bright and piercing, indicating a man full of energy.

"Did you save me?" Lu Rufeng was a thief who always repaid kindness and still possessed some sense of righteousness. He got up to bow to the elder.

"Lie still, you need to rest for a while." The man hurriedly helped him back to bed. " What is

your name

, benefactor?" Lu Rufeng asked, half-sitting up, his face full of gratitude. "My surname is Li, and my given name is Shande."

From the dart wound on Lu Rufeng's shoulder and his shrewd expression, Li Shande could tell that this man was no ordinary person. Therefore, he didn't want to ask his name unless he wanted to.

Lu Rufeng clasped his fists in front of his chest and said, "Thank you for saving me." He paused for a moment and then asked, "Why are you living here, benefactor?" He had assumed that Li Shande had also fled to this godforsaken place.

Li Shande seemed to have guessed his thoughts and chuckled, "I was originally from Zhucheng, Shandong. It was only because my father taught me medicine to help people when I was young that I gradually came to this remote mountain."

"And what about your wife?"

Li Shande asked with a slight blush, "I'm ashamed to say that I'm almost forty and still unmarried."

"Oh, I see."

Lu Rufeng then lay down on the "bed," which was really just a wooden frame covered with thatch.

"However, I have a question. How can one learn medicine in this remote mountain forest?"

"I used to be an apprentice in a pharmacy, receiving guidance from a master and reading some medical books. I even prepared some prescriptions, but the information in those books was limited, and I had never actually seen many of the herbs. I'd only seen them as finished medicine. I've been here for over ten years now. Not only do I recognize some of the herbs, but I can also observe their growth throughout the four seasons. In fact, some herbs have different uses in each season."

"Then you must be a divine physician!" Lu Rufeng couldn't help but sincerely admire this person's perseverance in learning medicine.

"Hehe, I absolutely dare not claim to be a divine physician. Even the legendary sages like Hua Tuo and Zhang Zhongjing never dared to call themselves divine physicians, let alone me, who is merely an apprentice and has not received any true teachings from my master."

"Then do you think my dart wound can be cured?"

Li Shande knew he was worried that his medical skills wouldn't be able to save his life. He chuckled and stroked his beard, which was streaked with a few white hairs, and said, "The valiant warrior was struck by a poisoned steel dart, but it's just ordinary poison. I've already prepared medicine for you and applied it to the wound before you woke up. It's just that it's cold here, and you sometimes have a fever and can't sleep soundly, so the wound was exposed and you caught a bit of a chill. It's nothing serious."

"Have I been sleeping the whole time?"

"You've been sleeping for three days!"

Only then did Lu Rufeng realize that he was indeed a little hungry.

"Is there anything to eat?" At this point, Lu Rufeng couldn't care less about the taboos and just wanted to fill his stomach.

“I knew you’d wake up this afternoon. You haven’t eaten for days, you must be hungry, so I cooked some porridge. It’s perfect to drink now.”

“Then bring it here quickly, I’ll eat three bowls first.”

“No, that won’t do. Even though you’re hungry, you can’t overeat. You have to take it slow.”

“Alright, then have one bowl first. I feel like my stomach is sticking to my spine.”

Li Shande turned and left the thatched hut. A moment later, he returned with a steaming bowl of porridge in a black porcelain bowl. Lu Rufeng sat up, took the bowl, and looked at the porridge. He couldn’t tell what it was made of, because he had hardly ever seen any of the ingredients.

"What kind of porridge is this?"

"Hehe, this is a kind of medicinal food. It will strengthen your kidneys. That steel dart was either too close or hit with too much force, and it has damaged your bone marrow. You know, the kidneys govern the bones. Only by replenishing your kidneys can this bone injury be completely healed. It contains the best kidney-tonifying herbs I found in these deep mountains. You can drink it without worry. I've tasted them myself."

Upon hearing that it was medicine, Lu Rufeng's appetite decreased by more than half. In addition, in these deep mountains and forests, what if he took the wrong ingredient? Where would he get treatment?

Seeing his half-believing and half-doubting expression, Li Shande couldn't help but smile slightly. "Would you like to have a bowl first?"

Lu Rufeng suddenly felt that he had been underestimated, so he disregarded his life and death, tilted his head back, and drank the whole bowl of porridge in one gulp. He then licked the rim of the bowl before handing an empty bowl to Li Shande.

"What a heroic spirit!" Li Shande took the empty bowl and said with a smile.

Lu Rufeng wiped his mouth, then suddenly chuckled regretfully, "I completely forgot to taste what it's like!" (

Chapter 4: Sworn Brotherhood

) Since waking up, Lu Rufeng had been drinking a bowl of porridge three times a day, morning, noon, and night, eating nothing else. He didn't feel hungry at all, and felt full of energy. Especially his lower body, which often became erect, as if driven by a very strong desire. There were no women here, not even a female fly to be seen, and Lu Rufeng wasn't thinking about women much anymore, only about healing his injuries. Yet, that desire would occasionally surge through him, making him restless and agitated. Lu Rufeng remembered Li Shande saying that the porridge was a kidney-tonifying medicinal diet, which would probably intensify his desire, but he was too embarrassed to ask him directly, so he simply drank it as instructed every day.

On the third day, Li Shande suddenly told him that this medicinal diet should not be interrupted, but more importantly, it was necessary to strengthen the essence; if it only tonified without strengthening, it would be useless.

Lu Rufeng knew what Li Shande meant by "consolidating essence," so whenever his desire was strong, he would sit cross-legged, regulate his breathing, and concentrate his mind, fearing that the agitation would ruin everything.

But at night, while asleep, he dreamt of his lover, Yu Tao'er. He held Yu Tao'er's voluptuous body, kneading her large, arousing breasts, kissing her cherry-red lips, and writhing against her smooth, jade-like skin. Finally, he felt a surge of pleasure, and his essence sprayed between Yu Tao'er's legs. But when he woke up, he realized it was just a dream. He touched his legs and found them sticky.

Damn it, he hadn't been able to control himself; all those days of porridge had been wasted!

Li Shande, sleeping opposite him, had already heard his movements in bed and his indistinct murmurs, knowing he must have been dreaming of a woman's embrace.

"What's wrong?"

Lu Rufeng sat up, head bowed in frustration. "It didn't hold."

"It's alright. As long as it wasn't deliberately pulled out, it's a natural overflow, which means your kidney energy is already very strong. As the saying goes, 'When it's full, it overflows.'"

"Feel the injury now, does it still hurt so much?"

Lu Rufeng shook his left shoulder, but didn't feel any pain. He then pinched the injury a few times with his right hand, but it still didn't hurt. He was very surprised: "It doesn't hurt at all! You're truly a miracle doctor!" Lu Rufeng was definitely not exaggerating at all. If it weren't nighttime, he would have screamed, afraid of attracting wolves.

"There's just one regret, I can't do anything about it."

Lu Rufeng was immediately alarmed. Could it be that something would be left behind? He asked, "What regret?"

"I'm afraid the scar left by the dart wound will never be removed."

"I thought it was something serious. That's alright, as long as my arm isn't broken, I can still..." Lu Rufeng was so happy that he almost revealed his background as a thief.

"I can still earn a living," he quickly added.

Now Lu Rufeng felt he was ready to leave the mountains and return to his life as a notorious bandit.

"Why has my benefactor never asked my name?" Lu Rufeng asked, puzzled.

"If a brave man were willing to tell, he would have done so long ago. If he didn't want to, I wouldn't know his real name even if I asked, so why bother?"

"Hehe, you are truly a saintly person. Now I will tell you, my name is Lu Rufeng. People call me Young Master Lu."

"Thank you for telling me." Li Shande didn't seem very interested in this and remained quietly lying on the bed.

"If you had money now, would you still stay in this godforsaken place?"

"Alas, of the three unfilial acts, the greatest is to have no offspring. I would like to go out and start a family, but where would I find the money?" Li Shande couldn't help but sigh.

"Hehe, don't worry about the money, I can give it to you. It won't make you rich, but it'll at least ensure you're set for life. I'm just afraid you don't want to leave."

"How can I take your money, brave warrior?"

"Then how can I repay your life-saving grace? I can't just leave without any reward, can I?"

"Brave warrior, you're mistaken. I studied medicine truly to help the world and accumulate virtue, not for any reward, and certainly not to take your money."

"So you're just going to die here in these deep mountains?"

"If I can take some medicinal herbs out, perhaps I can open a pharmacy or something."

"If you rely on your own strength, when will you ever be able to carry enough herbs to open a shop? Why don't I give you some capital? It'll be more convenient. If you don't take my money, I'll never have peace of mind."

"If it doesn't affect my livelihood, you can lend me some first. I'll naturally pay you back once I've recouped my investment."

"Nonsense, if I wanted to pay it back, why would I need it from me? I'm not bragging, I have plenty of money, brother. If you don't mind, we can become sworn brothers, how about it?"

Li Shande suddenly sat up, excitedly saying, "I see you're a man of honor. I'm a few years older, but I'd be willing to be your elder brother!"

The two immediately burned incense and became sworn brothers in the small thatched hut, vowing to share both fortune and misfortune.

Chapter 5 of The Thief's Life: Sending Off the Benefactor

Lu Rufeng. Li Shande left all his belongings behind, and the two traveled together for two days, finally emerging from the deep mountains. Lu Rufeng immediately felt much lighter. He didn't know how many days he had been cooped up in the mountains, but he felt that it wasn't a place for him. Needless to say, if he stayed for another ten days, he would surely go crazy. Li Shande also felt a change in his mind. Although the mountains were beautiful and he never lacked food or drink, and he never had any desire to compare himself with others, living a very peaceful life, he was still a worldly person after all. Those vulgar thoughts and desires in his mind had never disappeared. This time, traveling with Lu Rufeng, the couples he saw on the road made him really think about settling down and starting a family. He thought he must return to his hometown and live a normal life for the rest of his life.

Lu Rufeng led Li Shande for many days, leaving the capital and heading straight for Luoyang.

At nightfall, the two arrived outside Luoyang. They first stayed at an inn, drank some strong liquor to warm themselves up, and then went to bed. In the middle of the night, Lu Rufeng suddenly woke Li Shande up again, and the two left the inn together and headed into the mountains.

Although Li Shande had lived in the mountains for many years, he was terrified of the dark. He would huddle close behind Lu Rufeng, constantly looking around at the strange shadows of trees and rocks. Lu Rufeng led him to a cave. The entrance was slippery; one wrong step and he would fall. Lu Rufeng held his hand and carefully made his way to the entrance.

Lu Rufeng never used a lamp or carried a torch when working at night. Having a light would be tantamount to revealing his location. This was his consistent practice when working in the dark, and it never changed. However, he never forgot anything he had placed there; he could almost find it with his eyes closed.

Li Shande stood at the dark entrance, hesitant to go in.

"Then you wait here. I'll be out in a bit," Lu Rufeng said, entering the cave alone.

Lu Rufeng crept into the cave, reaching a depth of about forty or fifty zhang. He sat down in front of a small, haphazard pile of stones against the cave wall. He couldn't see anything inside, but after touching them, he was certain the object was still there. None of the stones had changed; they were in the same places he had placed them. He carefully moved the stones one by one and finally found a wooden box. The box was large and heavy. He tried to move it, but could barely manage. He couldn't carry it out by himself; this was the amount he had accumulated through several thefts! He opened the box, first taking out a few ingots and stuffing them into his pocket, then counting out forty silver ingots and putting them in his satchel. He estimated that this would be enough for Li Shande to return home and start a new business.

When he carried the satchel out, Li Shande was huddled at the cave entrance, cautiously looking around.

“After dawn, take some silver and make a small cart. Then we’ll modify it and load all the silver into it. Otherwise, you won’t be able to get home. The road is dangerous; you might even lose your life.”

“What do I need so much silver for? This is all earned by you, brother, with your life!” Before Li Shande was eight, his family was wealthy, but his father managed all the silver, and he had never touched or even seen it. After he turned eight, his family suddenly fell into poverty, and he never saw a large ingot of silver again. How could he not be tempted by this pile of silver? He was immediately moved to tears.

“Since you consider me a brother, why bother with such formalities? Besides, I can take any silver I need whenever I want. Do you think I’ll ever lack silver?” Although Lu Rufeng was a thief, he always regarded money as dirt and didn’t value silver highly. Seeing Li Shande's tearful appearance, Lu Rufeng thought he was a bit too effeminate and warned him, "This is official silver, it has a serial number on it. If you want to use it, you must first break it down into smaller pieces! Remember that!"

"I remember, I remember. I know what's important, I won't let it slip."

"Alright then, we need to hurry back to our lodgings, lest the innkeeper become suspicious."

When they returned to the inn, Lu Rufeng used his lightness skill to hide the silver in his room twice, then quietly came out and went back in with Li Shande. The innkeeper, seeing the two return empty-handed, assumed they had gone to a brothel and gave them a knowing, silly grin.

After dawn, Li Shande indeed quickly obtained a dilapidated cart, found a carpenter, and modified it to his liking. Taking advantage of the dusk, he pushed it into the inn. That night, Lu Rufeng quietly got up and stuffed all the silver into a hidden compartment in the carriage. The design was so ingenious that it was impossible to tell the difference between the carriage and an ordinary one without close inspection.

Once everything was ready, Lu Rufeng woke Li Shande. The two settled the bill with the innkeeper and set off in the middle of the night. Li Shande, a very cautious man, had Lu Rufeng take a silver ingot from the carriage, smash it into pieces, and distribute it in several places. He said this was to be on the safe side if they encountered robbers on the road, lest someone steal his carriage—that would be a huge loss.

Lu Rufeng chuckled inwardly at his cunning but complied.

Before parting, Li Shande repeatedly urged Lu Rufeng to stay at his house for a while if he ever visited his hometown. Lu Rufeng smiled and agreed, waving goodbye to Li Shande in the soft daylight.

Chapter 6 of "The Thief's Life": Seeking Lodging at a Farmhouse.

Li Shande, tears streaming down his face, walked away, constantly looking back until he could no longer see Lu Rufeng. Now, in Lu Rufeng's eyes, he was his benefactor, but in Li Shande's eyes, Lu Rufeng was his benefactor. The silver in that cart was more than he could ever earn in his entire life. At this moment, he couldn't even imagine a bright future; he only silently wished his benefactor peace and a long life.

Watching Li Shande's retreating figure, Lu Rufeng felt a weight lifted from his heart. As the saying goes, gratitude is repaid; giving this kind man money was another act of good deeds.

Lu Rufeng had been an orphan since he could remember. He only knew that a monk had adopted him and taught him to read and practice martial arts on the mountain. By the age of eighteen, he was already quite skilled in martial arts, especially in the lightness skill he had inherited from his master. Tragically, his master passed away when he was nineteen. From then on, he wandered the martial world, making a living by stealing. His first major act that shocked the martial world was stealing the county government seal. However, he never stole from the poor; even from the rich, he would assess the owner's character. He specifically targeted the homes of tyrants, leaving a note saying "Notorious Thief" as a warning after each theft.

The early winter wind lashed at his clothes, making him feel cold. He longed for a warm bed to snuggle under, but he had been wandering since he was nineteen and had never married. He had been traveling alone for four or five years, without even a woman to warm his feet. It wasn't that he couldn't afford a wife; he had plenty of money. Nor was he ugly; he was handsome, though he wouldn't dare compare himself to Pan An or Song Yu, he was certainly dashing. Sometimes he would visit brothels, and the courtesans there genuinely seemed interested in him. However, he always thought actors were heartless; listening to their music was fine, but he never made any advances.

Suddenly, he remembered someone, a woman. He touched the few silver ingots in his pocket and headed towards the widow Yu Tao'er's house. He thought he would surely be able to get her to open the door.

He had once saved Yu Tao'er's husband and had also helped her family, so he occasionally visited her. However, Yu Tao'er's husband was short-lived, dying from being crushed by a large rock during a period of hard labor.

Yu Tao was beautiful, and suitors came one after another, but Yu Tao was strong-willed and refused all of them, vowing never to marry, raising her fifteen-year-old daughter Liu Ye alone.

As Lu Rufeng walked through the alley, he heard a few barks, but he ignored them and strode to Yu Tao'er's door. If he knocked here, someone would surely hear him. It was almost midnight. He looked around to make sure no one was watching, then jumped into the yard. He knew they didn't have dogs, which was why he was so bold. He slipped to Yu Tao'er's window and gently knocked twice on the windowpane.

"Who is it?" the woman asked timidly from inside the house. "If you don't leave, I'll throw stones!"

Since Yu Tao's husband died, there had been no peace in the house. Men who wanted to scare her at night would often try to change her mind about living alone, but Yu Tao stubbornly refused to listen. Every day, she would collect a large pile of small stones and place them on the kang (heated brick bed), and if angered, he would throw stones out the window. Gradually, the number of troublemakers decreased. But recently, a rogue still frequently came to frighten her, sometimes even saying lewd things under the window, which really worried Yu Tao. She thought to herself that a widow's life was so difficult, and she almost gave in to agreeing to marry him.

"Sister-in-law, it's me, Xiao Liu Zi!" Lu Rufeng responded softly from under the window. He wasn't afraid Yu Tao would throw stones at him, but he was worried that Yu Tao wouldn't be able to withstand the fright in the middle of the night. He could guess how hard the widow's life was.

"Is it really Brother Liu?"

"It really is me!"

Lu Rufeng called himself "Little Liu" because his surname, Lu, means "six." Some people also pronounce "Lu" as "six." He felt that this way he could conceal his real surname without being unfair to honest people. Yu Tao was afraid that those wild men would come to her house and scare her, but she wasn't afraid of Little Liu. On the contrary, she felt safe when Little Liu came.

After a while, the door creaked open, and Yu Tao peeked out from the crack, cautiously looking around. By this time, Lu Rufeng had already moved from under the window to the center of the yard, afraid of frightening Yu Tao.

"Sister-in-law."

"Liu Zi, come in quickly."

This time Yu Tao finally recognized Liu Zi's voice and quickly let him in.

"Liu Ye, quickly light the lamp, your Uncle Liu is here!" Yu Tao seemed very excited.

Liu Ye climbed out of bed, put on a cotton-padded coat, and lit the castor oil lamp, instantly illuminating the dark room. The lamplight grew brighter, filling the room with more light. Lu Rufeng noticed that Liu Ye's breasts were already bulging beneath her white cotton undergarment. Liu Ye was even more beautiful than her mother, with a pointed chin, a fair neck, and her jet-black hair tied into two small buns, looking both innocent and adorable. After lighting the lamp, Liu Ye draped her cotton-padded coat over the quilt and slipped into bed.

"Uncle Liu, come and warm up on the kang (heated brick bed), you're freezing, it's really cold," Yu Tao said, lifting her quilt and warmly inviting Lu Rufeng. Lu Rufeng was hunched over, truly shivering from the cold. If it weren't for Yu Tao lying on the kang, he would have loved to immediately crawl into the warm quilt to warm his almost frozen body.

Lu Rufeng was a benefactor to Yu Tao's family, so naturally Yu Tao wouldn't mistreat him.

"Brother, why are you here at this hour? Is something the matter?" Her late husband had told her about Liu Zi before he passed away. He guessed that Liu Zi's business wasn't exactly legitimate, but seeing Liu Zi's character, he seemed to be a very righteous young man, so the whole family respected him greatly.

"Nothing serious. I was seeing off a friend and was passing by. I thought I'd drop by and see you and your daughter."

Hearing this, Yu Tao felt a warmth in her heart. Being remembered made her happy, especially since she was a widow with a daughter. Liu Zi's words were like a timely gift in her time of need.

"Oh! Sister-in-law, I don't know what good fortune you've accumulated in your past life to have your sixth brother thinking of us, mother and daughter. Why don't you warm up on the kang first, and I'll make you some hot food."

Lu Rufeng wanted to say something polite, but he was cold and indeed a little hungry, so he didn't firmly refuse, saying, "It's so late, sister-in-law, don't bother." His tone made Yu Tao chuckle, "You're already here, why are you being so polite with your sister-in-law! I don't have any delicacies here, just some simple food, but it'll fill our stomachs."

The woman gave Lu Rufeng a reproachful look before going to the outer room to cook.

"Uncle Liu, you've finally arrived! Those stinky men always come to scare us. My mother said that if your Uncle Liu is here, we won't be afraid."

"Liu Ye, what nonsense are you talking about?" Yu Tao was cooking downstairs, clearly having heard her daughter Liu Ye's words. The fire in the stove blazed up, making her face even hotter.

“That’s right, if Uncle Liu were at our house, let’s see if they’d dare come again!” Liu Ye stubbornly argued from under the covers.

“When are they coming?” Lu Rufeng asked.

Liu Ye got up from under the covers. The girl was only wearing a white cotton dress, and her two breasts drooped down. Lu Rufeng couldn't help but glance at them a few times. Liu Ye didn't seem to mind; perhaps she wasn't yet shy. She suddenly looked up at Lu Rufeng innocently and asked, "Can you stay at our house?"

Lu Rufeng didn't know how to answer this meddlesome girl's question, so he changed the subject and asked, "When do those troublesome men leave?"

"If my mother doesn't throw stones, they leave after the rooster crows twice.

" "Does your mother know who those men are?"

"They're all from this village, how could she not recognize them?"

"Don't get cold, go back to bed." Lu Rufeng tucked Liu Ye in and casually pinched her rosy cheek. He couldn't explain the emotion behind that pinch, but when he saw Liu Ye lying in bed like that, he had the urge to pinch her several times, but in the end, he just pinched her pink cheek.

Lu Rufeng slid down from the edge of the kang (a heated brick bed) and went to the outer room. Yu Tao was cooking, wearing her floral cotton-padded jacket, the red glow of the stove fire reflecting off her full breasts. She looked up at Lu Rufeng coquettishly and scolded, "Why aren't you warm on the kang? What are you doing down here?"

"I wanted to talk to my sister-in-law." As he spoke, Lu Rufeng placed one hand on Yu Tao's knee.

Chapter 7 of The Thief's Life: Being Bullied

Whether it was the heat of the fire or the feminine charm of Yu Tao, Lu Rufeng felt a little restless. After all, he was a young man in his twenties, and looking at Yu Tao's full breasts, how could he not be tempted? Although he said he was in love with Yu Tao, it was just his own feeling. He had never been intimate with her before. Tonight, intentionally or unintentionally placing his hand on Yu Tao's knee was something he had never done with such boldness before. Yu Tao didn't push him away; instead, she seemed to regard him as a close brother, thinking, "Let her help me." In truth, she also longed for a man's warmth, but women are too concerned about their reputation, especially in front of Xiao Liu Zi.

"Sister-in-law, I...I'm hungry."

Lu Rufeng's eyes were fixed on Yu Tao's large breasts, and he couldn't help but swallow hard, feeling a slight relief in his throat. Even more embarrassing, with his body facing the stove, his manhood was shamelessly throbbing.

"You said you weren't hungry just now, and now you're this hungry? How pathetic! It'll be soon, I'll make sure you're well-fed. Go back inside and warm up!" Yu Tao gently pushed Lu Rufeng's waist. Lu Rufeng didn't move. He didn't know what Yu Tao meant by "well-fed." Ah, what could he do, he had been so vague. He thought to himself, "Yu Tao, don't you understand what I, Xiao Liu Zi, am thinking?"

But since he wanted to be a woman's sweetheart, he had to care about her. He'd just heard Liu Ye say that some men had come here to beat her up

, and maybe it was her and her daughter's doing. No, he had to do something about it. "Sister-in-law, tell me, which bastards dared to bully you?" Lu Rufeng's hand was still on her leg, the warm, soft feeling making him linger.

"Am I telling you so you can fight them?" Yu Tao rolled her eyes at him and continued to ignite her desire.

"Don't worry, sister-in-law, I have a way to make them stop scaring you and your daughter. Why would I risk my life for them? Would I cause you and your daughter any trouble? Hehe, besides,

do you think my little Liu Zi can outdo them?" Yu Tao looked up at Lu Rufeng for a moment, then asked with some disbelief, "What method do you have to make those scoundrels behave?"

"Hehe, sister-in-law, you don't need to worry about that. Men have their own methods. Even scoundrels have things they're afraid of, right? Tell me quickly!"

Lu Rufeng shook Yu Tao's leg like a spoiled child. Yu Tao couldn't resist him, so she told him the names of the men and even used her little fire stick to mark the exact locations of those families on the ground.

Lu Rufeng thought to himself, "To catch a thief, catch the king first; to strike a snake, strike its vital spot." If he could subdue the most powerful one, the other petty thieves would naturally not dare to step forward.

"Sister-in-law, tell me, who among those men is the fiercest, and who is the most scoundrel?"

"The fiercest one is that Wang Mazi," Liu Ye interjected from the kang (heated brick bed).

“What’s a little kid like you talking so much? Go to sleep!” Turning to Lu Rufeng, she said, “Wang Mazi slaughters pigs. He has some money and often harasses young women and wives in the village. He’s a real scoundrel. Everyone in the village hates him but can’t do anything about it. He has a wife and children, yet he does such despicable things!”

“Are there any others, like me, a homeless rogue?”

Yu Tao chuckled, “What kind of rogue are you? If all rogues were like you, I wouldn’t be afraid.”

Lu Rufeng leaned forward, his hand lightly brushing against her firm breasts, and whispered, “Why aren’t you afraid of Xiao Liuzi?”

Yu Tao’s face flushed red. “How can a sister-in-law be afraid of her own brother? After your brother left, I’m not close to anyone here. If I don’t sleep with you, who will I sleep with?”

These words warmed Lu Rufeng’s heart, but he was also somewhat disappointed.

“Alright, quickly let the kang wait. I’ll bring the food up in a bit. ” "

If it were just the first half, how much I would enjoy it! But they added the second half. Although I'm hungry, I'm even hungrier about that thing. Why don't you understand, sister-in-law?"

Lu Rufeng ate a delicious meal on the kang (heated brick bed), wiped his mouth, and felt much warmer. Sweat beaded on his face. Seeing him wolfing down his food, Yu Tao was delighted and asked him coquettishly, "Are you really full?"

Lu Rufeng stroked his belly and looked playfully at Yu Tao's chest, saying, "Still not full." Yu Tao knew what he meant, rolled her eyes at him, and then gestured towards Liu Ye, who was already asleep, saying, "Don't go anywhere. Just stay on my kang and warm up for the night. It'll be dawn in less than two hours."

"No, I want to go out for a walk."

"What are you going out for a walk in the dark? It's so cold. You don't feel cold anymore, do you?"

"I really have something to do. You guys go to sleep. " Lu Rufeng got off the kang (

a heated brick bed), and Yu Tao picked up the tightly clad, multi-layered soles from the ground and handed them to him. He put on his shoes and headed outside. Yu Tao came out to see him off at the door, but Lu Rufeng suddenly turned around and grabbed the front of the cotton-padded jacket that Yu Tao had been wearing. His hand had already touched her full, soft, and warm breasts. His hand lingered there for a moment, but Yu Tao didn't move. He pulled the jacket inward a little and said, "Don't get cold." He turned and walked into the darkness.

Chapter 8 of the main text, "The Life of a Thief," describes

Lu Rufeng's life as aptly named. He moved like the wind, so light that even a dog couldn't hear him. How else could he operate so flawlessly in the quiet night? As for his failure at the imperial treasury that night, it was due to his carelessness; his two consecutive successes had made him overly excited. Following the location Yu Tao drew for him on the ground, he accurately found Wang Mazi's house. He gently dug with both hands... He climbed over the wall and slowly peeked out to listen to the sounds in the yard. Although he didn't have night vision, his experience in the dark meant he could usually see much better than others. He peered into the yard for a while and confirmed there were no dogs. He then quietly climbed over the wall and reached the door. Holding the door knocker to avoid making a sound, he tentatively pushed, and the door opened! He was overjoyed; he was certain Wang Mazi wasn't home. After entering, he gently closed the door and tiptoed inside. He tiptoed into the inner room. He heard the woman's even breathing in her sleep; thankfully, it wasn't snoring, which would have been quite unpleasant. The even breathing came from the small shrine, but there was another door. With just a gentle push, the door creaked open. Lu Rufeng didn't stop. The woman, thinking her husband had returned, turned over and continued sleeping. Lu Rufeng, with his nighttime skills, could tell that only a woman was lying on the bed. He slowly climbed onto the bed and lay down beside her. Smelling the woman's scent, he felt a sudden throbbing in his lower body. He warmed his hands in the warm blankets for a while until they weren't so cold before reaching out to touch the woman's body. He started by touching her buttocks, knowing that a woman's buttocks wouldn't be as sensitive to cold hands. In fact, he had never directly touched a woman's buttocks before. Even in brothels, he had only given the girls' buttocks a few pinches from a distance. But he had touched his own buttocks countless times, so he believed that women were not much different from men.

The woman shifted slightly but didn't push him away. She must have mistaken him for her scoundrel husband, Wang Mazi, who was always out gambling or womanizing, either not coming home all night or returning late at night. She was used to it; to avoid getting up in the cold to open the door for him, she left the door open for him every night. That's why Lu Rufeng got in so easily. Of course, even with the door closed, how could it stop a thief like Lu Rufeng?

Lu Rufeng's hand, which was on the woman's body, gradually moved upwards, touching her large breasts. Lu Rufeng instantly became aroused, but he was still a virgin. He wouldn't give his precious first night to such a scoundrel wife. Besides, he didn't even know what this woman looked like. The woman had her back to Lu Rufeng, letting his large hand knead her breasts. Lu Rufeng was certain she had mistaken him for her lecherous husband. The woman was only wearing a thin undergarment, her two breasts were very firm and elastic. Besides, Wang Mazi must have been busy groping other women, so her breasts were naturally swollen and aroused. The woman was awakened by Lu Rufeng's touch, turned over, and suddenly pulled Lu Rufeng into her arms. Lu Rufeng, who was initially excited and intoxicated, was startled when this woman hugged him, and he didn't know what to do. The woman grabbed his hand, pulled it under her shirt, and pressed it against her breasts, wanting him to continue kneading them. Lu Rufeng's blood boiled, and he really wanted to take off his pants and have some fun. But he restrained himself, only taking turns squeezing and kneading her breasts with both hands. The woman twisted her body, one hand reaching for Lu Rufeng's lower body. Lu Rufeng was still dressed, and there was no fishy smell on him. The woman sensed something was wrong, and her hand suddenly stopped. Lu Rufeng's physique was vastly different from her bastard husband's, and he didn't have the habit of drinking or smoking. Lu Rufeng was so thin, while Wang Mazi was like a big fat pig. The woman sat up abruptly from the covers: "Who are you?" Her voice was filled with fear.

Lu Rufeng, however, was no longer afraid. The swelling in his lower body had gradually subsided. He said slowly, "Who do you think I am?"

Upon hearing that voice, the woman was even more certain that it wasn't her husband. She quickly grabbed a piece of clothing and hurriedly put it on, backing away.

"What are you going to do?"

"I've already crawled into your bed, so tell me what I'm going to do? Hmm? My little wife!" Lu Rufeng said sourly, like a scoundrel.

"You'd better leave quickly, or I'll call for help!"

"Go ahead and call, go ahead and call! Let everyone in the village know you've been secretly raped! Haha."

Lu Rufeng laughed unrestrainedly.

"If my husband finds out, he'll kill you. He's a pig butcher!" The woman seemed to have no other way to scare this uninvited guest.

"If I were afraid of him, would I dare to come? Hehe, he knows his woman isn't for anyone else? Then I want you to tell him that if he goes and harms other young women, I'll come again. Let me tell you, even if you close a hundred doors, they won't stop me! And I'll make him a eunuch, so he can never abuse women again! Hehe, if that happens, I'm afraid even you won't be able to enjoy yourself anymore, right?" As Lu Rufeng spoke, he stepped forward and grabbed the woman's large breasts, kneading them, saying, "He doesn't know how to cherish such a good woman, and he's going to eat someone else's food!"

The woman trembled with fear, letting Lu Rufeng's hands knead her breasts.

"Good man, please don't do that! I'll definitely tell him—no, I'll keep an eye on him—if he goes out and harms others again, I'll break his legs! Good brother, if you don't mind me being dirty, feel free to touch me. Even if… I won't blame you. It's all his fault, you bastard! Even if you… even if you sleep with me, it's his just deserts!"

The woman, terrified, quickly threw off her clothes and lunged at Lu Rufeng. Lu Rufeng immediately lost interest and jumped off the bed.

"Don't forget what I told you to tell him, and tell those bastards who went to Yu Tao's house to suffer the same fate!"

"Good brother, I promise, I promise!"

Lu Rufeng slammed the door shut and went out.

When Lu Rufeng reached the courtyard, the woman was still calling through the window, "Brother, take care."
