China's Top Ten Cities/Regions with the Latest HIV/AIDS Epidemic Ranking

1. Yunnan:
Over 100,000 people infected, primarily through heterosexual transmission. Encounters in Dali, Yunnan, are both romantic and dangerous.
2. Sichuan:
Over 90,000 people infected with HIV. Transmission is mainly heterosexual, but the proportion of male-to-male transmission is higher in this region than in Yunnan.
3. Guangxi
: The third highest HIV/AIDS incidence rate after Yunnan and Sichuan. This region is underdeveloped, and HIV/AIDS transmission is primarily heterosexual, followed by male-to-male transmission and other routes.

4. Henan:
Over 50,000 HIV/AIDS patients, with heterosexual transmission being the dominant mode, and other transmission routes being less common.

5. Guangdong

: Nearly 50,000 people infected, with heterosexual transmission accounting for 50%, male-to-male transmission for 33%, and other transmission routes for 17%.

6. Xinjiang:
Heterosexual transmission is the dominant mode, followed by intravenous injection transmission.

7. Chongqing:
Over 30,000 infected individuals, mainly due to heterosexual transmission.

8. Guizhou
has 30,000 people with HIV/AIDS, mostly due to heterosexual transmission.

9. Hunan has a
similar number of cases to Guizhou, primarily due to heterosexual transmission, but male-to-male sexual transmission also accounts for a significant proportion.

10. Beijing
has tens of thousands of infected individuals from outside the region, with male-to-male sexual transmission being the main route of transmission.
