Chapter Eight: Sweet Experience
"You little girls are getting quite the brats! You've actually run away from home?"
It was still late at night, less than half an hour after everyone else had left. Five beautiful young women were dragged back from the Tongfu Inn, standing pitifully in a row, receiving Si Xiqiong's discipline. Si Xiqiong spoke, holding a soft whip in her hand, feigning fierceness: "The chieftains will naturally find ways to help their people overcome difficulties. What are you doing here at such a young age? Don't we Miao people have anyone else?"
For the five delicate little sisters, the Holy Maiden felt more pity than anger. After all, they were so young yet already thinking of doing things for their people, even at the cost of their chastity—such spirit was so precious and worthy of cherishing. But despite her pity, on the surface, the beautiful young woman still had to discipline these little girls, otherwise, if they did something foolish again in the future, they might not have such good luck today.
"But Holy Maiden, aren't you also doing your best?"
Han Dan pouted.
"You dare talk back!"
Si Xiqiong immediately lashed Han Dan's bottom with a leather whip. Anyway, the little beauty had plenty of flesh on her buttocks, so she wasn't afraid of hurting them. "Did I use the same method as you?"
"Ouch..."
The bright-eyed beauty covered her bottom and hid to the side, feeling wronged.
"And you lot!"
The Holy Maiden glared at the other four little beauties. "Will you dare to do this again? If I go back and tell your fathers and mothers, see how they deal with you!"
"Oh, no, no..."
The five little beauties panicked and hurriedly waved their hands in unison. The scene of ten slender hands flying around was quite a sight. Le Man and Zhu Han simply threw themselves at Si Xiqiong: "Holy Maiden Sister, please... We'll be good from now on... Don't tell our fathers and mothers, otherwise we'll be married off soon, and that would be terrible..."
"You know fear too?"
The beautiful girl felt a pang of pleading in her heart, but her words remained stern: "After you come back with me tomorrow, you will all come to 'Thoughts Cliff' and practice Gu magic with my mother. You are not allowed to leave 'Thoughts Cliff' without my mother's permission, understand?"
"Wow... Okay..."
To Si Xiqiong's surprise, the five little beauties were not afraid at all, but jumped up happily: "We will be the High Priest's disciples soon..." After seeing
Qian Ru and the other four off, the beautiful girl, who had failed to discipline them, angrily threw down her whip, sat on the edge of the bed, and sulked. "You two go down first, I have something to discuss with him."
In her anger, Si Xiqiong didn't forget to tell Duo Jiao'er and Mu Liu'er to leave; they weren't suited to be here to flirt with her lover later.
"Yes, Miss, please call us if you need anything."
The two girls were quite clever, knowing that my relationship with Si Xiqiong wasn't simple. They closed the door behind them as they turned to leave, but their words revealed that they didn't entirely trust me. Once it was just the two of us in the room, Si Xiqiong immediately dropped her pretense and turned to throw herself into my arms.
"Mmm..."
The warmth of my embrace made the beauty moan softly.
No matter what, Niu Yi was still that shy and kind little girl at heart. The long day's tension and acting had left her exhausted, making her especially fond of my embrace.
"Your Highness, you also snuck out this time, didn't you?"
I habitually lifted her onto a chair and began my interrogation.
"Hehe... Why are you asking this?" Si Xiqiong's eyes flashed, and she put on a coquettish look. "You spoke so righteously about those girls, but what about yourself?"
I couldn't help but pat the beauty's pert buttocks a few times: "You really are a handful!"
"But there's nothing I can do about it. I can't just watch them suffer, can I?"
Si Xiqiong spread her hands, looking very innocent. "Didn't I tell you where my home is? Is it that far from Miao territory to Tuyi County?"
"You're not home, what would I do there?"
The stunningly beautiful girl buried her face in my chest: "I'm too embarrassed to go see your father... I'm so shy..."
"Won't my father be your father in the future? You feel embarrassed asking for money, but you feel proud of swindling and cheating here?"
As I spoke, I simply lifted the beauty's skirt and went inside. The weather in Guihai City was hot, and the beauty couldn't possibly be wearing any thick underpants. After gently parting the silk underpants, my hand finally touched her two firm and round buttocks.
"Oh..." The beauty's body trembled.
It was the first time a man had touched her buttocks. Although this man had already conquered her full breasts before, the tingling and hot feeling now still made her extremely shy.
"Brother... no..."
Si Xiqiong trembled and raised her flushed face.
"Why not? Doesn't Xiaoqiong want her brother to be close to you?"
I kept changing the shape of her two beautiful buttocks, the feel was especially good, how could I bear to let go?
"No!"
Sixiqiong shook her head repeatedly, looking at me hesitantly, but before long, she couldn't help but writhe, panting: "Oh... brother... you... do you want Qiong'er very much?"
Although the Holy Maiden was still a virgin, she had some understanding of what was pressing tightly against her beautiful buttocks. Amazed by her lover's size, the beautiful girl also thought at the same time, if such a big thing were inserted into her little hole, would it tear?
"I really want to."
I smiled slightly. "But, it seems our Holy Maiden has run away. If I eat your little suckling pig again, won't my mother-in-law use the 'Millennial Golden Cicada King' to take my life when we get back?"
"Hehe..."
The beautiful girl chuckled, her delicate jade finger tapping my forehead. "Brother, you know fear too? Don't worry, we Miao women have always been bold in love and hate. So if we meet a man we like and do something in mutual affection, our families won't say anything..."
Hearing this, I stood up without saying a word, holding the beauty in my arms, and walked towards the bed without hesitation.
If I still didn't understand the beauty's feelings at this point, I wouldn't be worthy of being called a master of seduction or a top-notch young man! Si Xiqiong was already burning hot, her heart pounding. It wasn't until I removed her long skirt, revealing the beautiful girl wearing only a light pink bodice and matching underpants, that she felt a chill and shyly hid under the hibiscus quilt first. To be honest, Si Xiqiong's entourage was quite impressive. She brought so many maids and warriors, along with the bedding, teacups, and other items used in the room—all brought from Miao territory.
Firstly, the maids were worried Si Xiqiong wouldn't be comfortable, and secondly, Si Xiqiong was concerned Zhang Xiaofeng might tamper with these things. However, she didn't expect that this would become our new room.
When I slipped into the thin quilt made of Miao's unique silk, I felt not only not hot, but also a slight coolness, which greatly surprised me.
"Our Miao people have two kinds of silk quilts: one made of ice silk and the other of firearms silk, so there's something for both cold and warm seasons… Ah…"
The beautiful girl was explaining things to me in a serious tone when, unexpectedly, I ripped open her bodice, and a hot, large hand climbed onto her breasts, causing Si Xiqiong's beautiful eyes to glaze over.
That wasn't all. Just as Si Xiqiong shyly tried to hide further inside, I pulled down her panties with my other hand. The beauty's actions seemed to be in sync with me; in a few swift movements, her panties were down to her knees.
Although we were under the covers, my eyes had already seen the darkness as if it were daytime. Her round, full, moon-like buttocks suddenly appeared before my eyes, making my heart race. As I caressed and played with them, I pressed my body against hers.
"Mmm...oh..."
I felt a hot, huge object pressing against the base of her tightly pressed thighs. The beautiful girl's face flushed, and ignoring the attack on her breasts and buttocks by my hand, she let out a soft moan and turned her head, bravely offering her small mouth, allowing me to taste the alluring flavor of her lips once more.
A rich, slightly sweet floral fragrance lingered in Si Xiqiong's small mouth. I couldn't quite place the flower, but it smelled like a blend of many blossoms—in short, incredibly pleasant and delicious. I longed to devour all of her sweet saliva.
My domineering manner caused a slight pain in the Saintess's tongue, but she was overjoyed, seeing it as a sign of her lover's infatuation and affection. Having witnessed the beauty of the Jinggong sisters and heard of my several stunningly beautiful wives in Wushuang County, the young woman had always worried about whether she could become my woman. Now, it seemed those concerns were unfounded, and she thoroughly enjoyed my domineering nature. Passion surged during our passionate kiss. When I released the beautiful girl, not only was her face flushed, but her jade-like body was also a deep pink, incredibly alluring.
"Brother…"
As I pressed myself against her, my mouth taking her cherry-like nipple into my mouth, Si Xiqiong trembled slightly, her arms involuntarily encircling my neck as she softly called out.
I smiled slightly, and after taking turns sucking on the beauty's breasts, I didn't linger. Instead, I moved my large mouth down her smooth belly, kissing my way down to Si Xiqiong's pubic hair.
"Oh...no..."
Because of excitement and shyness, Si Xiqiong's body was already covered in white goosebumps. She already felt the urge to urinate, and now that I was still kissing her dark pubic hair, she quickly squeezed her legs together and grabbed my head with both hands, forcefully pulling it upwards.
"Brother...come up...um...don't kiss me anymore...it's...it's dirty..."
The beauty struggled to sit up. "There's not a single dirty spot on Xiao Qiong'er's body!"
I raised my head and said gently, "Good girl...this is a necessary step in marital intimacy, you just need to cooperate with your brother." The
poor, beautiful girl was as innocent as a lamb, how could she understand these things in bed? Thinking that since her brother had said so, if she still didn't cooperate, she would make a fool of herself.
So, the adorable little lamb lay down again, "Mmm... Brother, I'll listen to you!"
Not long after saying this, a wave of tingling sensation washed over her. As Si Xiqiong gently twisted her delicate body, she suddenly felt her lover part her jade-like legs.
Before the beauty could react to what her lover wanted to do, her two sweet lips were taken into my mouth.
Instantly, Si Xiqiong trembled violently as if struck by lightning.
"Oh... no... Brother... let go... there... no!" Si Xiqiong suddenly sat up, her jade-like hands, with a strength she didn't know she possessed, forcefully lifting my head, then leaning down to desperately offer her small mouth.
Just as I kissed the beauty's small mouth again, I felt Si Xiqiong's delicate body stiffen, then tremble, and a clear spring of water gushed out from above the beauty's cave. "Waaah... How embarrassing..."
The beautiful saintess was extremely flustered. Even the feeling of being kissed passionately by her brother that she had just enjoyed was overshadowed by this, and her eyes immediately filled with crystal tears. "What's so embarrassing?"
I kissed the beautiful girl's pink lips and jade face. "Come on, let me tell you about Mei'er and Cai'er..."
"Ah? Really?"
Upon hearing that her sisters had even more embarrassing moments, Si Xiqiong immediately perked up. "But... wouldn't that be so embarrassing?"
"That's why your husband is telling you, these things are perfectly normal!"
I smiled and kissed her beautiful ear. "Baby, I'll tell you more about your sisters later. They have many other fun things to do."
"Mmm!"
Si Xiqiong nodded gently, but her pink face was still very red. "But when you kiss me there, I feel like I need to pee... and... isn't that clean there..."
"Where is it unclean? My little darling, don't you wash yourself clean every day?"
I wasn't lying. The beautiful girl's honey pot still exuded a faint floral fragrance, which became even stronger and more alluring when I kissed the fleshy lips of her honey pot. "It's clean...but..."
The beautiful girl hesitated, then lightly punched me, angrily saying, "Brother, you're bad..."
She was thinking about how much blood she bleeds every month during her period, which seemed dirty. However, the next moment, the beautiful girl helplessly discovered that her lover had bent down and started kissing her again.
This time, being prepared made it a little better, but the occasional spasms under the tingling sensation still made the beautiful girl clamp her legs tightly around my head, and even more tightly.
"Oh...oh...um..."
The beautiful girl moaned unconsciously, her heart filled with sweetness amidst the intense pleasure. Hmm, the fact that my brother is willing to kiss my private parts proves that he likes me very much!

Chapter Nine:
The stunningly beautiful virgin, newly married, could not withstand the teasing. After only a short kiss, her honeypot was flowing with a lot of nectar, not only wetting the entrance of her honeypot, but also some of which I ate in my mouth.
Sure enough, the Saintess's nectar was as fragrant as real nectar, with a faint, pleasant aroma, and not at all unpleasant to eat.
Just before the beautiful girl's snow-white legs were about to crush my head, I realized that her desire had reached its peak, and this was the perfect time to deflower her.
"Baby, brother is here!"
I lay on top of her again, my large penis parting her pink labia and pressing against the lubricated entrance of her honeyed cave.
Si Xiqiong immediately felt the burning hardness. She used all her strength, hugging me tightly with her arms, and moaned, "Come on... brother... Qiong'er is yours..."
I gently pushed forward, and the head of my penis suddenly sank into a wet, soft place, which at the same time made the beautiful girl pant and furrow her beautiful brows.
"Ah...it hurts a little..."
"Brother, go in a little more...Qiong'er isn't afraid..." Encouraged by the beautiful girl, I stimulated her desire with both my hands and mouth, and my penis slowly squeezed into her flower path, which was moistened with honey.
Even though the girl told herself to relax, and even though her flower path was already soaked with honey, the large, sharp edges still hurt the tender vaginal walls that no one had ever entered before. She gritted her teeth and clenched her fists in pain, but didn't utter a word.
Gradually, the deeper my penis went, the more resistance I felt. The deeper the girl's flower path went, the stiffer it became, forcing me to stop.
"Huff..."
Unbeknownst to me, beads of sweat had already appeared on Si Xiqiong's rosy cheeks. The beautiful girl, who had been frowning, let out a long sigh and revealed a hint of joy, saying, "Brother... is it all the way in? Qiong'er hurts so much... it feels like it's trying to stretch my body open..."
I smiled, kissing her pink lips while taking her delicate hand and placing it at our point of contact.
"Ah, heavens..."
The stunning girl quickly withdrew her hand, her face immediately turning distressed. "Brother... why, why is it still more than halfway in? I feel like it's already gone in quite a bit..."
As she spoke, the beautiful girl coquettishly gestured to show what she thought was the full length of my penis, looking charming and adorable.
I coaxed the beautiful girl beneath me, "Baby, let's leave it at that for now. Let you get used to it first, and then I'll go in."
The Holy Maiden looked at me with great suspicion, "But...you promise you won't break my little hole?"
"Of course! Didn't you see that Mei'er and Cai'er are a little smaller than you? Did I break their little holes?" I tapped her delicate nose, "Think about it again, even a baby this big can come out here. Compared to my penis, a baby is much bigger, right?"
"Pfft..."
The Holy Maiden suddenly laughed, her lower body tightening, gripping my penis tightly. I felt good, but she felt a little pain, "Oh...brother, you're so naughty...you're making me laugh on purpose..."
"Naughty? I'm relieving your tension, okay!"
As I spoke, I gently pulled my penis out, then slowly pushed it back in a little, repeating this dozens of times until the beautiful girl, who was biting her lip and frowning, gradually relaxed.
"Brother... um... you can... you can go in a little more..."
The beautiful girl breathed softly, a hint of dazedness in her eyes. Although she hadn't pierced the hymen, the thrusting in the first half of her honeyed passage had already sent waves of pleasure through her body. The previous swelling and tearing pain had long since vanished, replaced by wave after wave of pleasure. I also noticed the constant flow of fluid from the girl's honeyed passage, making my movements in and out effortless. Occasionally, my penis would touch the hymen, but I hadn't used it before, fearing she wasn't used to it. Now it seemed the time to pluck this beauty had arrived! With that thought, I smiled slightly, withdrew, and thrust my hips forward with a powerful "plop," my penis breaking through the thin hymen and reaching the depths of the girl's honeyed cave.
"Ah..." With a swan-like scream, two tears welled up in the beautiful girl's eyes as she looked at me with a pitiful gaze: "Waaah... Brother... It hurts so much..."
I quickly stopped moving again and pressed down on Si Xiqiong's body, saying softly, "Baby, don't cry... Look... I'm completely inside you now, you're all your husband's now!"
The stunning girl was filled with joy and pain, her words soft and gentle: "Husband... If Qiong'er isn't yours... then whose is she?"
"Good girl! Come, let brother kiss my little Qiong'er!"
As soon as I finished speaking, I kissed and caressed the girl's perfect, fairy-like body again.
The stunning girl was very adaptable, and since she was also a martial artist, she was far less delicate than those young ladies from noble families. In just a short while, she relaxed and finally felt the pain greatly reduced, replaced by that tingling and numb feeling.
"Husband...it doesn't hurt as much anymore...you can move a little now..."
The stunningly beautiful girl moved her small mouth away from my large mouth and said.
"Okay!" I honestly and without hesitation reached down and carefully cupped the beautiful girl's plump buttocks with both hands, so that it would be easier for my big meat stick to enter and exit her little hole.
At first, slowly, and then slightly faster...the huge and firm penis slowly withdrew from the beautiful girl's dark grass, and then slowly disappeared between her two pink lips, making the girl's lips spread outwards.
"Oh...brother...it's so sore...it hurts a little...ah...be gentle...yes...um...okay...like this...that's it..."
The big meat stick thrust in and out dozens of times according to the nine shallow and one deep method, and Si Xiqiong gradually tasted the pleasure. Her honey hole was tingling and numb, and waves of excitement surged into her heart, even to her throat, making her have to moan softly. My penis was far too thick, stretching the beautiful girl's vaginal walls open time and time again. Yet, she refused to give in, bravely resisting whenever her vaginal walls were pressured, forcefully pulling back. Once the pain of deflowering subsided, the friction between the tender walls of her honeyed orifice and the sharply defined shaft gradually aroused the Saintess's lust.
"Ouch... Brother... why are you... using so much force... Oh... Don't stop... just this much... Ah... Oh... Ah... Brother... your penis... is so big... so thick... Oh... it's... tearing... Qiong'er's... little hole... apart... Ah... Oh... beautiful... so beautiful... Brother... doing this... feels so good... Ah... Hmm... Uh... Uh... harder..."
"Smack... Smack..."
The "Tyrannosaurus Rex Spear" thrust and stirred forcefully inside the beauty's vagina, the rhythmic and varied movements making it impossible for Si Xiqiong to resist. The Miao saintess cried out in ecstasy, her nectar repeatedly drawn out by the penis, flowing to the spot where we were joined.
Si Xiqiong wasn't quite sure how to cooperate yet; she only subconsciously and gently thrust her shapely buttocks. With me holding her beautiful buttocks, I noticed her every movement and instinctively gave her a push, so she was now forcefully welcoming the thrusting and conquering of my large penis. Her
tight, juicy vagina gripped my inserted member tightly each time, giving me immense pleasure as well.
"Ah! Oh... Brother... Sister... It's so itchy... Faster, big cock... a little to the left... Oh... Good... Harder... Ah... Ah... How... like this... Waaah... Brother... Qiong'er is going to... fly... Oh... Ah... Where... are you... hitting?... Ouch... It hurts... It hurts so much... No... Oh..."
Amidst unrestrained moans and gasps, the stunningly beautiful girl felt the big cock penetrating deeper and deeper, making her feel incredibly comfortable all over. Her labia were parted again and again, and her honey hole was stretched open again and again. The edges of the glans and the cock scraped against the soft, juicy vaginal walls, each pass causing Si Xiqiong to spasm.
Thus, her little hole was filled by the big cock, along with various wonderful sensations... As the intercourse intensified, it constantly stimulated the beautiful girl's heart, making her body hot and burning. The more pleasure she felt in her little hole, the itchier it became, forcing her to quicken her forward movements to meet him. At the same time, her mind gradually drifted into a semi-conscious state.
"Oh...my little hole...ah...it's broken...ah...inside...I'm...I'm going to...pee again...oh...brother...come out...get out...ah!"
With a scream, the beautiful girl's delicate body convulsed. Satisfied and excited, she gripped my back tightly with both hands, and her vaginal fluid gushed out, filling her entire honey hole with her nectar.
If the beautiful girl hadn't been deflowered for the first time, I would have continued to thrust harder, making her feel even more comfortable in her orgasm, thus reaching an even higher peak. But the girl was, after all, a virgin, and couldn't withstand such intense movements, so I simply released my semen. With a "plop," hot and sticky semen violently hit the depths of the beautiful girl's flower core, making her tremble again.
"Ah...hot...so hot...brother..."
The beauty was only reacting subconsciously at this moment. Her bird eyes were already too weak to open, her mind and body were already occupied by the girl's first orgasm, and she could no longer think of anything else.
When I looked down, the beauty's honeyed cave was still rhythmically sucking on the large penis. Between the opening and closing of her labia, thick, sticky liquid mixed with streaks of blood was slowly flowing out from the crevice…
What a beautiful sight!

Chapter Ten:
The Second Day of the Trip to Japan, Noon, five miles outside Guihai City.
There was a large open space here, next to a dense forest, the depths of which connected to the Miaoqiang Ten Thousand Mountains.
Because wild beasts often rushed out from the Miaoqiang Ten Thousand Mountains and attacked people, and because the "Iron Wolf Legion" also used this place as a training base, no one lived around.
Today, this place was packed with people… well, you could describe it as a sea of pigs and goats.
Five or six hundred beautifully dressed Miao women, a Miao holy maiden standing alone, thousands of soldiers in imposing armor of the "Iron Wolf Legion," sacks of grain piled high on three-wheeled carts, and Miao horses leading the way… Add to that the countless fat pigs and sheep roaming the mountains, and hundreds of butchers sharpening their knives, along with their assistants, and this normally vast open space was completely crammed full.
Miao Qiang's Hundred Thousand Mountains are connected to the outside world by hundreds of small paths. While not allowing for large-scale military campaigns, these paths are easily traversed by two or three people walking side-by-side.
Through centuries of human labor, the Miao people have carved out these paths, firstly for convenient trade with the outside world, and secondly to defend against large Han Chinese armies—a truly farsighted strategy.
However, this also brought problems. The merchant caravans that could enter Miao Qiang were never very large, increasing costs and often resulting in exorbitantly high prices for goods from outside. Zhang Xiaofeng spent a great deal of effort searching both inside and outside the city, collecting a total of two thousand pigs and two thousand sheep, more than double what he had promised the day before. In addition, there were twenty million catties of grain, which were prepared as the first batch of compensation to be transported to the Nanhua Mountains. Transporting the pigs and sheep into the mountains was now extremely troublesome. It would take at least ten days to reach the Nanhua Mountains from here, and even more than twenty days if the pigs and sheep were driven there slowly. Moreover, the pigs and sheep would run wild, and the roads in the Miao region's vast mountains were not only rugged but also had deep ravines along the sides, where merchants from outside often fell, let alone the undisciplined pigs and sheep.
Therefore, for easier transport, Zhang Xiaofeng suggested slaughtering the pigs and sheep and placing them on flatbed carts pulled by Miao horses to be transported to the Nanhua Mountains.
Miao horses are a breed of horse native to southern Xinjiang; they are small in stature but have excellent endurance and load-bearing capacity, and could pull at least five thousand catties of weight on a flatbed cart.
Although the weather in Guihai City was slightly warm, once you entered the Miaoqiang Ten Thousand Mountains, after only half a day's journey, you would encounter blizzards and freezing temperatures everywhere, truly showcasing the wonders of nature.
The cold, snowy weather was ideal for preserving meat, so after slaughtering, the pigs and sheep wouldn't rot or spoil, avoiding losses during the journey—a truly excellent idea.
As for the perishable offal, it was perfect for everyone to eat on the road; not only delicious but also resilient to the wind and snow, it would even provide extra strength.
Once the butchers gathered from all directions had arrived, Zhang Xiaofeng gave the order, and hundreds of butchers and their assistants skillfully took out their tools and began slaughtering.
Immediately, the sounds of pigs and sheep squealing and crying filled the air, somewhat lessening our sorrow at parting.
Qian Zhongji was the busiest person, constantly moving around, checking the binding and security of the grain while supervising the butchers' rapid slaughter of the pigs and sheep—a truly loyal servant.
Qian Zhongji would also be going to Miao territory on this trip. He said he planned to settle down in the Nanhua Mountains and, after understanding the situation, sell the local specialties for maximum profit.
The Holy Maiden and the warriors and girls of Miao territory liked this kind of flattery, so their dislike for him lessened considerably.
Later, even the Prefect looked at his former strategist with envy: "You escaped danger, but I still have trouble!"
The Miao Holy Maiden still had difficulty closing her legs, walking a little strangely, but fortunately, her dignity was enough that no one around her had any doubts. The only ones who knew a little were the two little maids, Duo Jiao'er and Mu Liu'er, because they had been waiting in the room next door all night, but hadn't seen the man supposedly sent by Lord Lanting to protect the young lady come out… Of course, they hadn't seen him when they entered the room this morning either. With so many people around, and Si Xiqiong being Lord Lanting's fiancée, my current identity was only Mi Beiming, so I couldn't act too intimately.
Even exchanging a few sweet words required using telepathic communication—it was truly exhausting!
The stunningly beautiful young woman, newly married, was deeply infatuated and naturally reluctant to part with me. According to her wishes, it would be best if I went back with her this time to meet her parents.
However, Si Xiqiong understood that my mission was extremely important, concerning the lives of millions of impoverished people. The kind-hearted young woman could only reluctantly give me her farewells before stepping aside to oversee the loading of the slaughtered pigs and sheep onto the carts. "Ugly Brother…" As
soon as Si Xiqiong left, five beautiful young women dressed in Miao ethnic clothing quietly ran over, greeting me with charming smiles.
I said, half-laughing and half-crying, "Am I ugly? I'm alright, aren't I?"
"It doesn't matter if you're ugly or not..."
Bai Rong said softly, "We Miao girls only like capable and upright men. We don't like those handsome but weak scholars!"
Miao girls never hide their feelings when they meet a man they like. From her few words, I could tell that the five girls had a deep affection for me.
I chuckled and patted their heads. "You'd better behave when you get back. Don't run around causing trouble again. Not everyone is like me. Be careful not to run into a big bad wolf!"
"Don't worry, Ugly Brother!"
Han Dan said sweetly. "With Lord Lanting's help, our people can eat their fill and survive. We're not stupid enough to come out and benefit others... If anyone's going to benefit us, it'll be you, Ugly Brother..."
The beautiful girl with bright eyes cried out, which sent chills down my spine. "What nonsense are you talking about? Go back and obediently learn from the High Priest. Next time I come to the South Flower Mountains, you can try to see if you can defeat me!"
Le Man pouted. "Aren't you trying to discourage us? You even killed a powerful expert like Sun Shu with one palm. We can't learn even after years of studying. Unless..."
"Unless the five of us drain you dry in bed together, would that count as defeating you, Ugly Brother?"
Le Man, the smallest of the five, chimed in.
"Cough cough..."
I coughed quickly. Miao Qiang's little chili peppers were indeed formidable; their directness and fiery temper were almost too much for me.
"Mr. Mi!"
Just as I was wondering how to deal with the five little chili peppers, Si Xiqiong, who was not far away, turned around and gestured for me to come over.
Qian Ru quickly whispered, "Ugly brother, don't forget to come find us in the South Flower Mountains!"
Young girls' hearts are always fragile and sensitive, and of course I didn't want to see these five delicate beauties sad. I smiled and nodded before walking towards Si Xiqiong.
"Brother, what did they say to you?"
Her Highness asked softly. Because she was near the slaughterhouse, the noise of the pigs and sheep was loud enough to drown out her words, so she could ask so openly.
"They didn't say anything. The little girls told me not to forget to come find them in the South Flower Mountains."
I said gently,
"They seem to like you too!"
The beautiful girl smiled slightly, "Perfect, next time you come to 'Thoughts Cliff' to propose, you can marry them as well... They are the five little golden flowers of the South Flower Mountain Range!"
"In your eyes, it's as if I'm a greedy lecher."
I shrugged.
"It's not like that,"
Si Xiqiong shook her head gently. "Brother, you saved them and treated them so well. It's normal for the girls to like you. And you're a man who can't bear to hurt girls, so you should accept them even more... That way, I'll have a few more good sisters in the future!" "
Let's talk about these things later,"
I said softly. "Little Qiong'er, take good care of yourself! After I return from the Great Yuan Kingdom and settle the disaster victims, I'll come to Miao territory to find you."
"Mmm... Husband, be careful on your journey... and think of Qiong'er often."
More than five thousand Miao horses pulled the carts, disappearing down the mountain road in single file. The horses, carts, and all kinds of grain had almost exhausted the entire reserves of Guihai City. Even so, Zhang Xiaofeng still wasn't very confident. When he watched the Holy Maiden and her party leave and wanted to curry favor with Lanting Gong's trusted expert, he found that I, who had just been there, had already vanished. The prefect, his face full of melancholy, embarked on his return journey. He had no idea how long he could continue serving as prefect of Guangming County, or how long he could retain his current power. Zhang Xiaofeng's worries were completely outside my consideration; my mind was entirely focused on the approaching merchant ships from Jieluo Island.
The Privy Council rarely investigated islands and merchant fleets at sea. Apart from some merchants from the Great Yuan Kingdom, whether from Huayun Kingdom, Liufeng Kingdom, or even most people of the Great Yuan Kingdom, they all believed that land was the battlefield for supremacy, and the sea was always a secondary place.
However, two days later, when I saw the Jieluo Island merchant fleet arrive at the port, I felt that this perception seemed somewhat incorrect.
The Jieluo Island merchants, with slightly darker skin and dressed in magnificent clothes, disembarked from eight large ships, each at least thirty meters high. Each ship had five or six ridiculously large sails, supposedly designed to be propelled by the wind, saving considerable effort; and even so, it was common for a single ship to carry five or six hundred sailors. Various goods, such as spices, jewelry, and porcelain, were quickly transported to Guihai City. The continuous caravans took two full hours to haul them all away.
It's said that this wasn't all the goods on board; the merchants from Jieluo Island had at least 80% of their goods left in the hold, awaiting the next transaction.
Zhang Xiaofeng personally welcomed the Jieluo Island merchants, and the group traveled slowly into the city in a magnificent carriage.
In Guihai City, the Jieluo Island merchants would first negotiate prices with the major merchant guilds of Liufeng Kingdom and purchase some of their desired items, such as rare herbs, tonics, and trees. Then, they would hold a grand banquet with Zhang Xiaofeng to maintain their friendly cooperative relationship.
Even so, the guards on the Jieluo Island merchant ship, armed with broadswords and longswords, patrolled the ship and its hull. Though not tall, their eyes were extremely fierce, clearly those of warriors who had seen blood.
The merchants of Kelaka Island, along with other maritime forces, were not merely traders. They frequently purchased slaves from the grasslands, Japan, and various other islands, large and small, to sell to the three major kingdoms of mainland China. Therefore, they needed some military strength. The caravan leaders went to Guihai City to buy and sell goods, while several leaders in charge of the ship's cabins stayed behind. A large map was already laid out, marking the various ports the Kelaka Island caravan would stop at. Fees would vary depending on the distance to their destination and the quality of the cabin. The poor couldn't afford the travel expenses; even a single lowest-class berth to the nearest supply point cost one hundred gold coins. As
the sea coachmen put it, "Sea travel is not something ordinary people can afford; only the wealthy can experience the joy of sailing!"
Few people boarded the ship from Guihai City—no more than fifty including myself—half of whom were small merchants heading to a nearby "Piaoyu Island" to buy goods. Therefore, the leaders in charge of collecting money and registering passengers all looked listless.
"The best rooms, the finest service, all the way to Seto Port in Japan."
When it was my turn, I casually stated my request.
"Oh, the best... uh?"
The forty-something-year-old leader paused, then looked at me in surprise, saying in the common mainland language, "Did I hear you right? Do you know how much you mentioned earlier?"
I smiled nonchalantly, playing the role of a sucker: "You name it, I won't haggle."
To be honest, the leader had initially intended to fleece me, but hearing my words and my nonchalant demeanor immediately dispelled that idea.
Merchants from Kelaka Island, regardless of rank, all possessed a sharp eye, knowing who to deceive and who not to scheme against.
The kind-hearted man before me seemed naive, but this disdain for money was not something that could be taught in an ordinary family.
"I am Luo Wei, the third-class manager of the Wuge Merchant Caravan. May I ask your surname, young master?"
the leader asked, bowing respectfully. The people of Jieluo Island, those with the surnames "Jie" and "Luo," belong to the island's aristocratic class. Those who can travel freely are certainly not commoners.
"My name is Zhao Qing, from Liangli County,"
I said with a smile. "I've heard that Dongying Island has many beautiful women and abundant pleasures, so I've come specifically to see for myself."
"Haha, Young Master Zhao is truly a refined person!"
Luo Wei laughed along. "With enough money, Dongying Island is indeed a paradise on earth; I guarantee you'll be so happy you won't want to leave."
"What's money?"
I shook my head dismissively, then asked, "How much is it exactly?" "
Replying to Young Master Zhao, the total cost is three thousand eight hundred gold coins,"
Luo Wei said. "Our voyage will take twenty-one days, and you should arrive at Dongying Island around mid-February."
"That long?"
I frowned. "I just saw that you seem to be stopping at six places along the way, each delaying you by about a day, is that right?" "Yes!"
Luo Wei understood what I meant. "Young Master Zhao is from the inland, so you may not know that our caravan's expenses are very high. We can't just visit one or two places. Of course, this route is a bit roundabout. If we go directly from Guihai City to Dongying Island, it will only take about ten days."
I pondered for a moment. "I'm not used to long waits. How about this, Manager Luo, you find your superior and tell him that if he can get me to Dongying Island within five days, I'll give him 50,000 gold coins." "
50,000 gold coins?" Luo Wei let out a long breath, and a golden light appeared before his eyes. However, due to his merchant nature, he immediately said, "This... I'm afraid it's still a bit difficult."
The sea carriage drivers are busy all year round. In reality, after deducting necessary costs, entertainment, ship maintenance, etc., plus the possibility of storms and disasters, they don't earn much. For example, this trip, even if it goes smoothly, will only earn about 500,000 gold coins. After deducting the dividends of the major shareholders, even Luo Wei will only get 500 gold coins.
Of course, it's not that 500 gold coins isn't a lot. On Kelaka Island, a commercial island, 10 gold coins a month is enough for a family to live comfortably. If you have 500 gold coins a month, you'll definitely live a very comfortable life.
Without thinking, I raised the price again: "Then it'll be 100,000 gold coins! It's for seven days, and for every half day earlier, add 50,000 gold coins."
"Hiss..."
Luo Wei's face immediately changed: "Young Master Zhao, please wait a moment, I'll go to the city to find the shopkeeper right away."
"No, please wait a moment."
I smiled and pointed to the wooden table he had been writing on: "How much is this wooden table worth?"
"This? This is waterproof ironwood, very hard, but it's not exactly rare. If Young Master Zhao likes it... Oh!"
Before Luo Wei could finish speaking, I pressed down on the hard ironwood table, and it immediately shattered into dozens of pieces as if struck by a sledgehammer weighing millions of pounds.
This young man is a master!
A sudden realization flashed through Luo Wei's mind.
No wonder he dared to go to Japan alone; he had something to rely on!

Chapter Eleven: Island Anecdotes
Merchants are decisive, a world apart from the procrastination of court officials.
Upon receiving the report, Jie Xiaoji, the manager of the Wuge merchant caravan, rushed back from the city. Seeing that I had presented a silver note containing 50,000 gold coins as a deposit, he immediately decided to send Luo Wei on one of the eight giant ships to Piaoyu Island. There, he would buy a smaller, sturdy, durable, and incredibly fast medium-sized ship to take me to Dongying Island. While
smaller ships are generally faster, a medium-sized ship was safer considering the various weather conditions we would encounter along the way.
Piaoyu Island is small, covering about 100,000 acres, with a population of just over 70,000. Their products are mostly seafood and many homegrown herbs, primarily used in the rainforest and for voyages. These herbs are highly effective, attracting many travelers and ensuring their livelihood.
Piaoyu Island doesn't have a shipyard, but merchant caravans frequently visit. For these caravans, anything is acceptable as long as the price is right.
Luo Wei was clearly a seasoned shrewd businessman. After disembarking, he showed me around and we bought a medium-sized ship that was about 80% new. It was 20 meters long, 10 meters wide, and 15 meters high. Because he needed it urgently, Luo Wei paid 50,000 gold coins for it.
Of course, I paid for it, but Luo Wei told me that I wouldn't lose out. Once we reached Seto Port, a ship of this quality could be sold to the Japanese for at least 70,000 gold coins. So, not only would we not lose money, but we would actually make a profit of 20,000 gold coins. While I was marveling at the merchant's keen money-making instincts, Luo Wei had already gathered the sailors and boatmen from the large ship. For any long-distance voyage, it was always more reliable to have your own people.
To travel quickly, two or even three shifts of sailors had to take turns rowing, and the voyage could not exceed ten hours a day, otherwise the wooden ship would not be able to withstand the high-intensity movements. We brought a total of 120 sailors, 12 longsail turners, 8 helmsmen, and 5 cooks. After replenishing our supplies with enough water, food, and medicine, Luo Wei and I set off without stopping for Seto Harbor in Japan.
This medium-sized ship had three decks. The lowest deck was the engine room, where the sailors sat on either side of the ship, rowing in an orderly fashion using extended oars. The second deck had about ten rooms; Luo Wei and I naturally occupied two small, separate rooms, while the rest were for the shift sailors and other crew members.
The uppermost deck was slightly smaller, with the largest and most sturdy room being the captain's cabin. Several helmsmen were constantly observing the surroundings and confirming the ship's course. The longsail turners were in another room facing the deck, where they needed to adjust the sail angles according to the helmsmen's instructions to maximize the use of the sea winds. There was also a large room above that served as the kitchen and storage area, where the five cooks prepared meals for the crew around the clock.
To ensure they had the energy to work, I didn't skimp on their food. I bought plenty of pork, beef, and mutton, along with a wide variety of vegetables and fruits, and even expensive herbal tea was readily available. It was arguably the most enjoyable voyage they'd had in dozens, even hundreds, of voyages.
Being on an ocean-going vessel for the first time, I was quite interested. I took a quick look around the ship to get a feel for the lives of these maritime laborers, hoping it would provide some inspiration for future operations on the Chongqing-Jiangxi waterway.
After sailing for a while, Luo Wei came running over with a grin to tell me that the wind was now blowing in the same direction as our route, greatly increasing our speed. He said we might reach Dongying Island in less than five days.
I was overjoyed and told him to tell everyone that as long as they worked hard, they would be generously rewarded. I told him not to worry about how much I would pay, but rather whether they could earn that much.
Money was an absolute temptation for the lowest rungs of the maritime coachmen's class. Not long after Luo Wei relayed the message, even I, someone with little knowledge of navigation, clearly felt the ship, already riding the waves, increase its speed even further. Life at sea was incredibly monotonous. At first, I was interested in standing on the deck, even soaring to the top of the sail to gaze at the vast, boundless ocean. But after a while, seeing nothing but endless blue water, I felt visually fatigued and simply returned to my cabin to rest. Asking Luo Wei, I learned it was indeed true; everyone at sea found it tedious, especially those who spent at least eight months of the year at sea, feeling particularly restless and depressed. However, the maritime coachmen had their ways of coping. Gambling, wrestling matches, and even brothels were brought aboard the ships to provide entertainment and relaxation for the crew.
For example, the eight large ships of the Wuge merchant fleet carried over 350 prostitutes, half of whom were female slaves. They had to cater to the desires of tens of thousands of people, an incredibly exhausting task.
But the hardship wasn't without its price. The prostitutes earned a considerable sum from this trip, even more than mid-level managers like Luo Wei. Therefore, large and small maritime merchant fleets were always popular destinations for prostitutes from various countries and islands.
Luo Wei, having nothing better to do, and given my generosity—I gave him five thousand gold coins as soon as he boarded the ship, far exceeding his share from the merchant fleet—naturally, he told me a lot about maritime affairs. Not only him, but all the other crew members received five hundred gold coins each upfront, which is why they didn't take my words as empty promises.
The sea was indeed as vast and boundless as I had imagined; it was said that no one knew what lay at the end of the ocean.
Through hundreds of years of sailing, the power of the maritime merchants had gradually taken shape.
Everyone knew that the sea surrounded the continents, and the maritime merchants divided the ocean into four major regions—east, west, south, and north—using the continents as coordinates.
The North Sea is entirely covered in solid ice, extremely cold, and sparsely populated. The western seas are prone to violent storms and tornadoes, making it difficult for most people to venture there. Furthermore, the western seas are bordered by the western mountains of the Flowing Wind Kingdom, with no villages or cities along their coastline. Therefore, people gradually abandoned exploring the western seas. The
South China Sea and East China Sea, on the other hand, have numerous islands and populations.
The situation at sea is a hundred times more complex than on land. Due to the inherent disadvantages of islands, everyone relies primarily on maritime trade for their livelihood, so each island spares no effort in developing its merchant fleet. Meanwhile, conquest and being conquered have always been the history of these islands. After hundreds of years, the era of the big fish eating the small shrimp has finally come to an end, the major powers have consolidated, and everyone's strength is roughly equal, gradually leading to a stable situation for commercial development. It was only after this period that maritime traders truly began to focus on making money. Currently, in the East China Sea and the South China Sea, there are at least twenty powers similar to those on Jieluo Island. Each power generally has its own sphere of influence and its own trading partners, usually making their own money, especially through trade with the three continental kingdoms.
Although trade in Guangming County isn't particularly booming, our Liufeng Kingdom's Taibai County has twelve excellent ports of varying sizes. At least half of the southern tax revenue comes from these ports and merchant fleets.
It is precisely because the Zhennan King extracts a large amount of tax revenue from here that he is able to maintain his control over the "Copper Leopard Legion" and his infiltration of the southern counties.
However, our Liufeng Kingdom still has the least maritime trade among the three countries.
In the eastern seas of Huayun Kingdom lies a long, narrow peninsula called the Goryeo Peninsula. Surrounded by the sea on three sides and stretching over a thousand li, it is an excellent land port and anchorage for ships. It is unknown which wise person from Huayun Kingdom established the Goryeo Peninsula as a trading zone for maritime trade fifty years ago. The more than two million people there are involved in maritime trade. Livestock such as horses, cattle, and sheep from the grasslands, as well as various precious goods such as saffron, cordyceps, and timber, are all sold to all parts of the continent through the Goryeo Peninsula.
The Dugu royal family of Huayun Kingdom, relying on the profits from this trade, has greatly suppressed the restless ambitions of various tribes, firmly controlling their economic lifeline.
As for the Great Yuan Kingdom, needless to say, the entire eastern and southern parts of the Great Yuan Kingdom are along the coastline, boasting fifty-five major ports, twenty-nine of which are located in the most commercially developed Jiangnan region.
Various teas, exquisite porcelain and furniture, luxurious silk clothing, and spicy and fragrant seasonings produced in the Great Yuan Kingdom are all highly sought-after items. Nobles on the islands and the tribal nobles of the Flower Cloud Kingdom typically take pride in owning these luxury goods.
Our Liufeng Kingdom also possesses these items, but the best goods aren't advertised much, resulting in a lower level of fame. The prices are only so-so, far from the exorbitant profits the Great Yuan Kingdom can reap.
Luo Wei also told me that although the Great Yuan Kingdom was a commercially-driven nation that amassed countless riches, this also led its nobles and merchants into a culture of extravagant consumption and comparison. They also enjoyed composing poetry and indulging in romantic pursuits… but they didn't seem to care much about the nation's military strength.
I know that the Yuan Dynasty's military strength is the weakest among the three nations, but its naval power is incredibly strong. Its warships are exceptionally well-equipped, and its defensive capabilities are formidable. Ironically, these powerful fleets have absolutely no connection to the Yuan Dynasty's military; they were entirely developed and practiced by the Yuan Dynasty's merchants. Even the Yuan Dynasty's navy relies on merchants to supply its warships.
Because of this, the power of the Yuan Dynasty's merchants has reached an unparalleled peak, comparable to that of the traditional nobility. But I absolutely despise the current state of the Yuan Dynasty.
What kind of people are merchants? They are the epitome of "whoever feeds me is my mother"! How can someone who will sell anything for profit be given a high status? This is extremely detrimental to the court and the nation!
No wonder the Huayun Kingdom prefers to concentrate its forces against the Yuan Dynasty. They are so wealthy, yet so vulnerable; how can they justify their powerful military without plundering vast amounts of wealth every year?

Chapter Twelve: The Two Commercial Prodigies
Due to the vastness of the ocean, even if an island is temporarily conquered, long-term rule is impossible. Therefore, attempting to subjugate distant islands not only consumes vast amounts of manpower and resources but often yields no substantial benefits. Thus, each island's power operates independently, at most allowing others to plunder some wealth, but fundamentally, the people on their own islands still hold sway.
Luo Wei told me that because of the rivalry between the three countries, merchants in the East and South Seas are roughly divided into three groups, each aligned with one country.
Their Jieluo Island is aligned with the Liufeng Kingdom. Although they don't earn as much as the alliance aligned with the Dayuan Kingdom, the competition is also less intense. On the islands of that alliance, it's common for caravans to change hands and change owners—few can remain unmoved in the face of enormous profits.
Luo Wei thus lamented that money is never enough; the most important thing is to have the life to enjoy it.
Such discussions continued for several days during the voyage. I learned from Luo Wei about numerous maritime grudges, arguably no less complex than those between the three mainland kingdoms. Aside from the smaller scale of the wars and intrigues, the intensity of the struggles between hundreds of islands, large and small, even surpassed that of the three mainland kingdoms.
With ample meat supplies and the lure of substantial sums of money, the crew worked tirelessly. The ship sailed at its fastest possible speed, reaching the south-central part of the Great Yuan Kingdom on the first day, the southeasternmost point on the second, and then turning uphill on the third. On the morning of the fourth day, after Luo Wei exchanged information with passing merchant caravans, I learned that we had reached a position parallel to the Jiangnan region of the Great Yuan Kingdom, 300 nautical miles in a straight line from Jiangnan, and less than 600 nautical miles from Fusang Island, which lies to the north of the Great Yuan Kingdom and southeast of the Korean Peninsula of Huayun Kingdom. The seas, now free of the whirlwinds and torrential rains of the South China Sea, were now bathed in calm and sunshine, a stark contrast to the storms of the South China Sea. Based on our sailing experience over the past few days, in such good weather, we should reach Seto Port, the major southern port of Fusang Island, in a maximum of ten more hours.
Having received the 500 gold coins each reward I had sent in advance, the exhausted crew members were once again bursting with energy, and the ship continued its journey towards its destination without stopping.
Luo Wei, who had been acting as our guide along the way, was also all smiles. His second reward, also 5,000 gold coins, was the same as his first, making him so happy that he decided to buy another hundred acres of land on Kelaka Island upon returning, adding to his descendants' wealth.
Having gotten to know him better over the past few days, I also knew that Luo Wei's favorite place wasn't actually his hometown Kelaka Island, but rather the prosperous and misty Jiangnan region of the Great Yuan Dynasty. So I jokingly asked him, since he liked Jiangnan so much, why didn't he consider buying a few dozen acres of land there, building a manor, and living the life of a small Jiangnan landowner? Luo Wei replied with a wry smile, "Young Master Zhao, don't you know how expensive land is in Jiangnan right now? Even in the most remote parts of Jiangnan, a mu (unit of land area) costs at least 10,000 gold coins, and each plot is at least twenty mu. Not to mention the prime locations of Hangzhou, Suzhou, and Yangzhou, which I like, where a mu costs 100,000 gold coins, and there's practically no one selling!"
I did some mental calculations. If I wanted to build a county government office and backyard for Lord Liu of Wushuang County in the prosperous areas of the three major Jiangnan states, the land alone would cost 10 million gold coins, not to mention the various construction costs and the huge expenses for decorating the residence. I have to say, land prices in Jiangnan are ridiculously high.
After a pause, Luo Wei sighed again, "It's not just the land price that's high; everything in Jiangnan—firewood, rice, oil, salt, soy sauce, vinegar—is expensive, several times more expensive than in other parts of the Great Yuan Kingdom. Ordinary people here can barely make ends meet... Hmph, everyone says Jiangnan is picturesque, full of talented people and beautiful scenery, a paradise! But Jiangnan, though beautiful, is a paradise for the rich!"
I was surprised, "Manager Luo, I didn't realize that even though you don't live in Jiangnan, you already possess the talent of Jiangnan. That's well said!"
Luo Wei smiled and said, "What talent do I have? And even if I did, so what? The people of Jiangnan have always been the most xenophobic. People like us from overseas islands have always been discriminated against."
I smiled and patted him on the shoulder. "Manager Luo, discrimination exists everywhere. Brave people will prove themselves with their success. This kind of discrimination only inspires my ambition. One day, I will soar to the sky and make these blind people look up to me!"
As I spoke, I unconsciously exuded an air of dominance. Plus, we were standing on the deck, the morning sun shining on me like golden light, almost blinding Luo Wei for a moment.
'This Young Master Zhao is definitely not as simple as he seems!' Instantly, Luo Wei made this conclusion in his mind.
Now that we were near the coast, the storm was gradually weakening, and the morning sun was shining on our ship. Luo Wei suggested I lie down on a soft chair and sunbathe, saying it would be very comfortable. I tried it, and it was indeed very comfortable. A gentle breeze swept past me, but because the sun's temperature was not low, it wasn't cold at all; in fact, it was quite cool. Plus, I could see all around, with ships of all sizes coming and going. My mood was much more cheerful than the feeling of being stranded on a deserted island a few days ago.
The ship's cook was very considerate and immediately brought out two glasses of fruit juice and placed them beside us. The juice, squeezed from fruits grown in tropical forests, was so sweet it felt like it was nourishing the heart. I had already decided to buy a lot to take back to my family. Luo Wei suddenly pointed to the right and said, "Young Master Zhao, look! Those are merchant ships from several northern states of the Great Yuan Kingdom. These ships are made from hemlock wood from the dense northern forests. Their advantages are their height and sturdiness; they won't sink no matter what kind of tsunami or storm they encounter. However, their disadvantages are also obvious: they are too cumbersome and lack maneuverability, making them only suitable for short-distance voyages in coastal waters."
I looked up, and even from a distance of one or two hundred nautical miles, I could feel the sheer size of these merchant ships. At least fifty or sixty meters tall, a dozen or so of them sailing together seemed to cover the entire sea surface.
"Hey, those merchant ships over there look a lot like the merchant ships from your Jieluo Island!"
Looking around, I suddenly spotted a fleet passing by our ship. This fleet was much larger, but the ships were only about thirty meters high, much smaller than the Northern Fleet we had just seen.
However, this fleet was very agile, moving forward quickly and in perfect unison under the lead ship.
"Hehe, they don't look like ours, we're imitating them,"
Luo Wei said without any hesitation. "This is the fleet of the Jiangnan General Chamber of Commerce of the Great Yuan Kingdom. See that golden phoenix emblem on their bow? Any fleet with that emblem belongs to them! They deserve to be called the 'carriers of the sea' even more than we do."
I stood up and looked at them. Because of my excellent eyesight, I noticed that the oars extending from the bottom of their ships were actually divided into two layers. When I asked Luo Wei, he told me that this was a unique secret technique used by Jiangnan ships. They cleverly divided the engine room at the bottom of the ship into two closely spaced levels. Sailors on both levels rowed simultaneously, resulting in exceptionally high speeds. Moreover, due to the ingenious design, there was absolutely no collision or obstruction between them.
"Hey, I see a silver-haired girl at the bow, surrounded by many people. Who is she?"
I suddenly pointed to the lead ship at the front. Due to the angle, I could only see her slender figure and her silver hair, which fell to her waist. Although it was styled into several strands, it still floated gently in the sea breeze, looking quite beautiful.
"A silver-haired girl?"
Luo Wei looked in surprise, following my hand, but of course, he couldn't see anything.
"How did you see her from such a distance?"
"I saw her anyway. Tell me who she is, it seems you know her?"
"I know her, but she doesn't recognize me at all!" Ji Luowei sighed, a hint of tenderness and admiration still showing on his face despite being over forty: "She is one of the two most outstanding business geniuses among the younger generation of the Jiangnan General Chamber of Commerce, known as 'Silver-Haired Jade Girl' Murong Rui."
"Does she also have foreign blood?"
I asked doubtfully. People in Jiangnan do have a custom of taking foreign beauties as concubines, and many islands in the southeastern sea have blond-haired, blue-eyed foreigners, and there are quite a few like her with silver hair.
"No, no, her family is a truly authentic Jiangnan gentry family. It's just that Miss Murong suffered a serious illness when she was twelve years old. Although a divine physician saved her, her beautiful hair turned silver from then on, and it remains so to this day."
Luo Wei said with a face full of nostalgia, "I was fortunate enough to see Miss Murong once from afar. She was truly a fairy descended from heaven. Whether in appearance or talent, she was almost unparalleled in the world, something that ordinary mortals like us could never possess."
"Hehe, judging from the way you put it, I'd like to go and see for myself sometime,"
I said with interest.
"Young Master Zhao, if you want to see her, you should have a chance, but please don't use force,"
Luo Wei hurriedly warned me. "Her master is one of the top ten masters of the Great Yuan Kingdom, and he taught her very powerful martial arts. It is said that she once killed hundreds of bandits who were threatening Jiangnan. She is very powerful."
"Don't worry, how could I possibly force myself on a beautiful woman?"
I said with a smile. "By the way, you just said that there are two unparalleled business geniuses in the Jiangnan General Chamber of Commerce. Who is the other one? I see you are praising Murong Rui so highly, that person must be quite remarkable as well."
"Of course, quite remarkable!"
Luo Wei was quite amazed by my ignorance. "I just said that Miss Murong is 'almost unparalleled in the world.' If it weren't for the 'Poisonous Scorpion Demoness' Shangguan Xiaolian, who is comparable to her in every aspect, Miss Murong would truly be unparalleled in the world."
"Shangguan Xiaolian, what a beautiful name! It really has the style of Jiangnan's misty rain!"
I exclaimed. "Hehe, Young Master Zhao, if you only pay attention to Shangguan Xiaolian's name, or her elegant and beautiful appearance, then you're not far from bankruptcy."
Luo Wei clearly had no admiration for this stunningly beautiful girl whose fame rivaled that of Murong Rui, only boundless apprehension. "Let me tell you about her remarkable achievements. This girl is a year younger than Miss Murong, but since she debuted at fifteen, in just three years, she has used various schemes to bankrupt 125 businesses, leaving hundreds of thousands of people unemployed. She's an absolute jinx! That's why she's called the 'Poisonous Scorpion Demoness'!"
"So impressive? Then I'd like to see her for myself."
For a moment, I was filled with curiosity about these two completely different business prodigies.
Please continue reading "My World" Chapter 19. After the secret meeting, under the guise of buying and selling female slaves, Young Master Ri and Luo Wei arranged a transportation deal. Young Master Ri, intending to impersonate a Japanese nobleman, coincidentally encountered the Jinggong family, who were in dire straits and had come to Japan to sell goods. Through a clever arrangement, Young Master Ri, under a different identity, became acquainted with the Jinggong family. Liu Ri, who had never made a mistake while drunk, actually slept with the cold and beautiful young woman, Jinggong You, while intoxicated! This was going to give Young Master Ri a real headache…
