[Wuxia] The Jade Bow and the Cloud Sea (Complete) - Part 2

    page views:1  Publication date:2023-03-24
In Chapter 3 of Liang Yusheng's *
The Jade Bow and the Clouds *

, Hao Haochang, seeing the Venerable Zangling examining the iron arm repeatedly, couldn't help but ask, "Master, can you see any
flaws ?" The Venerable Zangling replied, "In recent years, I haven't heard of Chi Shenzi. Could it be that he really froze to death in the glacier
?" The iron arm clearly stated that Dong Taiqing "died in the glacier, without anyone's fault." It also indicated that he was traveling with Chi Shenzi and froze to death
together in the glacier. The Venerable Zangling's use of Chi Shenzi as corroborating evidence implied that he believed Dong Taiqing had indeed
died in the glacier. Hao Haochang quickly said, "This matter is absurd and seems unbelievable. Moreover, who
sent this iron box is extremely strange. How can we let this go without investigating thoroughly?" The Venerable Zangling remained silent, as if the
iron arm truly held some strange secret, simply turning it over and over again.
Yang Liuqing recognized Dong Taiqing's iron arm and was quite surprised. She saw Hao Haochang and the Hidden Spirit Master whispering
amongst themselves and was about to speak when she suddenly heard Hao Dashan, the leader of the Taishan Gang, shout, "Dong Taiqing's matter may be difficult
to understand for the time being, but your Yang family cannot escape responsibility for the two incidents that occurred today!"
Yang Liuqing was taken aback and asked, "What incidents?" Hao Dashan angrily said, "I haven't even kept my appointment yet, why did your men
beat and humiliate my disciple first?" Yang Liuqing said, "How could such a thing happen?" Hao Dashan beckoned and said, "Han Chao, come
out ." Jiang Nan looked and saw it was the fat man he had beaten up. His face was bruised and swollen, and his clothes
were still covered in mud and bits of grass. Yang Liuqing said, "Strange, your disciple was injured. What does this have to do with me?" Hao Dashan angrily said... "Did
I hit him?" Yang Liuqing retorted angrily, about to retaliate, when the old hero Deng Qianyuan, seated at the head of the table, eager
to settle things , quickly advised, "It's not too late to discuss how to handle this after we've clarified things. You said there were two matters, this is one, what about
the other?" Panlongguai Xu Dayou suddenly stood up, angrily demanding, "Those present are all martial arts elites, tell me, when two sides
agree to a duel, is it reasonable to ambush or even kill the other's aidmen beforehand?" These words
caused a stir among the crowd, who all asked, "Who was assassinated?" Xu Dayou roared, "It was Zhao Tiehan, the leader of the Zhenshan Gang, who was assassinated by their men!
Ah, Brother Zhao died a good death! He was strangled to death!" Xu Dayou and Zhao Tiehan were sworn brothers, and Xu Dayou,
deeply moved, his eyes reddened, tears streaming down his face. He seemed to want to pounce on Yang Liuqing and tear him in two.
Deng Qianyuan hurriedly stepped forward to stop them, asking, "Who killed Chief Zhao? Did anyone witness it?" Hao Dasan's apprentice shouted,
"The person who killed Chief Zhao is the same person who beat me up." Deng Qianyuan asked, "What kind of person was it?" The fat man
replied, "A young... young man, probably not even twenty years old." Deng Qianyuan said, "Look carefully, is he here?" The
fat man said, "No." Jiangnan, hiding behind the plaque, chuckled inwardly, "Blind fool, your father is clearly here!" He
chuckled inwardly, but was also somewhat panicked. He hadn't expected Zhao Tiehan to actually be killed by that mysterious figure. Things were getting increasingly out of
control . He just didn't know if that mysterious figure was Jin Shiyi.
Deng Qianyuan said, "Since he's not here, then he might not be someone invited by the Yang family." Xu Dayou shouted, "He murdered
Chief Zhao and dares to show his face? I'll demand that this wicked woman pay with her life!" Yang Liuqing angrily retorted, "Outrageous! Who are you cursing?" Zou Xijiu
jumped out immediately, and Xu Dayou raised his iron crutch, swinging it at Yang Liuqing with a whoosh. Deng Qianyuan hurriedly raised a chair to block it for her.
With a loud crash, the chair was instantly split in two. The momentum of the blows was not yet over, and the iron crutch narrowly struck Deng Qianyuan's forehead. At this moment, Zou
Xijiu also became enraged, and with a "bang,"
he threw a punch. Zou Xijiu was a direct disciple of the Five Elements Fist, and this punch was called "Soaring Cannon." It was extremely powerful, and
Xu Dayou's iron crutch could not be withdrawn in time. He hurriedly dodged, but even though he dodged quickly, he was still hit hard on the shoulder by Zou Xijiu's punch. He staggered back several steps and almost fell. Xu Dayou shouted: "I'll fight you to the death!"
"The iron crutch swung wildly, sweeping away the guests at nearby tables. Zou Xijiu silently parried a few blows, then suddenly changed
his fist into a palm, unleashing a 'Iron Claw' technique to snatch Xu Dayou's famous 'Dragon-Panning Crutch.' Just as he was about to
grab Xu Dayou's wrist, a gust of wind suddenly struck him. It turned out that Cui Hong, the vice leader of the Zhenshan Gang, had launched a dart
. Zou Jiangxia, who was eager to try her slingshot, couldn't stand seeing someone plotting against her father and immediately drew her bowstring." He
fired three pellets. The first pellet knocked down the dart, the second struck Xu Dayou in the forehead, causing him to bleed profusely, and the third
pellet aimed at Cui Hong. Because of the distance, Cui Hong dodged it, but the pellet knocked over a pot of hot wine at the next table. The wine splashed everywhere,
splattering onto the faces and heads of two men invited by Hao Dasan to help him fight: Du Ping on White Horse and Deng Mao on Golden Knife.
They were both furious, shouting and cursing, and rushed onto the stage. Deng Qianyuan shouted, "What kind of behavior is this? If you're going to have a fight
, you should follow the rules! Are you acting like street thugs, ganging up on each other?" Seeing that mediation was failing, he could only temporarily quell the
chaos .
Xu Dayou said, "Alright, everyone, don't interrupt. I want to avenge Chief Zhao, and Master Zou wants to protect his wife. Let me
settle this with Master Zou first!" Zou Jiangxia said, "What...?" "You 're not worthy to fight your father. Let me teach you a lesson
." Xu Dayou injured her forehead, but because she was a junior, he didn't dare challenge her. Unexpectedly, she stepped forward first. Xu Dayou
angrily said, "Fine, you two, father and daughter, come at me together!" Zou Jiangxia sneered, "Shouldn't you bandage your forehead wound first?"
This was a sarcastic remark about his boasting despite his injury. Zou Xijiu considered himself the master, and although Xu Dayou was a gang leader,
he was not the other party's most important figure. Therefore, he should not lower himself to a formal competition with him. However, he was afraid that his daughter would not be able to beat him. Just as he was hesitating, Cui Hong, the deputy leader of
Zhenshan Gang, stepped forward and said, "Why use a sledgehammer to crack a nut? Let me teach this little girl a lesson for Brother Xu." Seeing that
Zou Xijiu had retreated, Xu Dayou had no choice but to relinquish the stage and let Cui Hong and Zou Jiangxia fight. Cui Hong wielded a pair of judge's pens,
while Zou Jiangxia used an iron bow. Zou Jiangxia said, "You are the guest, so I'll give you three moves first!"
Influenced by her parents from a young age, Zou Jiangxia, despite her young age, knew to maintain the decorum of a martial arts family and follow
the rules of the martial world: in a formal competition, the host gives the guest three moves first. She spoke very seriously, and none of the assembled heroes laughed at her, despite her somewhat
childish .
Cui Hong was a prominent figure in the underworld; how could he expect a girl to give him three moves? Zou Jiangxia
had invoked the rules of the martial world, yet he couldn't refuse her favor. He sneered, "Fine, then after three moves, you..."
"Let's prepare to change people." The implication was that he would definitely defeat Zou Jiangxia within three moves.
Zou Jiangxia held the iron bow to her chest, her face expressionless, and said, "Enough with the idle talk, wait for your move!" Cui Hong sneered, splitting
his two pens and striking her "Qimen" acupoints on both sides of her ribs. Zou Jiangxia was very slippery; she lowered her body and, taking advantage of
the moment he separated his pens, swiftly slipped past his hands. Cui Hong snorted and muttered, "So you do have some skill." Still harboring a sense of
complacency , he separated his two pens, his stance unchanged, and immediately reversed his circle. Zou Jiangxia, incredibly clever, seemed to have anticipated
this move. Suddenly, she blew a puff of air towards his face—a hidden weapon passed down through the Yang family, renowned throughout the martial world. Cui Hong mistook it for a
fine, hidden weapon like plum blossom needles, and his heart skipped a beat. Zou Jiangxia, who wouldn't normally have been able to dodge his
attack, seized the opportunity and easily leaped out of the circle. Cui Hong roared angrily, "Little girl, what trick are you using?"
Zou Jiangxia giggled, "I said I wouldn't fight back. Did I fight back?" "She only spoke, but didn't actually fight. Cui Hong was
helpless against her, and his anger surged. In his third move, he suddenly unleashed his killing blow. He stretched his left pen outwards, while his right pen was pressed down, ready to strike. He expected her to jump up
and dodge , so that his right judge's pen could immediately strike his 'Yongquan' acupoint.
But Zou Jiangxia was surprisingly bold. Instead of jumping up, she suddenly lay down on the ground, slightly pushing out her iron bow. Cui Hong's pen struck down, hitting her iron bow with
a clang. Zou Jiangxia took the opportunity to roll back a few steps. Just as Cui Hong was about to change
the stance of his right judge's pen, Deng Qianyuan shouted loudly, 'Three moves are complete, Miss Zou, you don't need to hold back anymore!'" "
Cui Hong's move was originally a two-part attack with both pens, but Zou Jiangxia had already
blocked his left-hand judge's pen attack. Although his right-hand attack hadn't been launched, Deng Qianyuan considered it a complete attack. Cui Hong, using his superior strength, couldn't very well explain to everyone
that it was only half an attack. He had no choice but to forcibly withdraw his right-hand judge's pen, watching helplessly as Zou Jiangxia calmly stood up and
proudly laughed, 'No need to change opponents, let's continue our duel.'
Cui Hong suppressed his anger, pressed down on his pens, and shouted, 'Advance!' " Before she finished speaking, Zou Jiangxia drew her iron bow, the bowstring swiftly slashing his
pulse point. This "Eighteen Golden Bow Techniques" was a secret skill passed down from her maternal grandfather, Yang Zhongying. The moves she used were unlike anything ever
seen in the martial arts world. Although Cui Hong's true skill far surpassed Zou Jiangxia's, he was suddenly overwhelmed by her flurry of attacks, leaving him scrambling
to defend himself . Jiang Nan, watching from above, was overjoyed, but unfortunately couldn't offer any applause.
However, while the "Eighteen Golden Bow Techniques" were wondrous, Zou Jiangxia's skill was insufficient, and over time, she ultimately suffered. After
fifty moves , Zou Jiangxia's... Zou Jiangxia's moves were gradually blocked by Cui Hong's pair of judge's pens. Seeing the situation was unfavorable, Zou Jiangxia used her agile
skills to parry a few blows. Suddenly, she retreated to advance, striking with her iron bow. In a swift "Slender Chest, Clever Cloud Turn," she flipped backward, drew
her slingshot, and fired. The Yang family's divine slingshot technique was indeed well-deserved; the slingshots were all aimed at vital acupoints. Fortunately,
Cui Hong himself was also an expert in acupoint striking. As soon as he saw the slingshots being fired, he immediately knew which acupoints they were targeting. He either deflected them with his iron pens
or dodged them. Although Zou Jiangxia's attacks became increasingly fierce, she still could not be seriously injured. However, Cui Hong's offensive was thus hampered.
The two fought in the hall, surrounded by tables, leaving only a small area of about two zhang in the center. Cui Hong pursued relentlessly, and
Zou Jiangxia could only maneuver around him in a small circle. Sometimes, when he caught up to her, she didn't have time to draw her bow and fire, and could only turn around to parry
his attacks. They fought like this for about half an hour, and Zou Jiangxia's bullets were almost used up.
Jiang Nan hid behind the plaque, and several times the bullets hit the plaque with a "plop
plop , lest someone discover it. Once he was discovered, his limbs were immobilized, and he was sure to be severely beaten by Hao Dasan and his men. Fortunately,
the injured were all focused on avoiding accidental injury from the bullets, and no one would have thought that there was a Jiangnan hidden behind the plaque. There
were many experts present, and no matter which direction the bullets flew, someone would catch them. Hao Haochang even deliberately showed off his skills, holding
chopsticks , and as soon as a bullet flew by, he would immediately catch it and arrange it one by one on the table.
Seeing that Zou Jiangxia's situation was becoming increasingly dangerous, Deng Qianyuan said, "The two of you have already fought for more than a hundred moves, why don't you give way to the second person
!" Cui Hong remained silent, and Zou Jiangxia only remembered her mother's instructions: "You must not tarnish the prestige of the Yang family." Seeing the enemy
remain silent , she refused to back down, continuing to fire bullets
relentlessly, engaging Cui Hong in a cat-and-mouse game. As the number of bullets dwindled, Zou Jiangxia suddenly realized she only had two left. Panicked, she slowed her pace slightly, and Cui Hong, like a shadow,
caught up . In a moment of quick thinking, Zou Jiangxia slid a few steps, flicked
her wrist, and aimed at Cui Hong's "Yangbai" acupoint. Cui Hong deflected it with a flick of his wrist, and the second bullet flew towards him. Recognizing the sound, Cui Hong knew she was aiming for his "Taiyang" (temple), and quickly tilted his head. However, Zou
Jiangxia had deliberately tricked him. While the bullet appeared to be aimed at his "Taiyang," she slightly flicked her finger as she fired it. The bullet struck
slightly off-target, and as Cui Hong tilted his head, she struck his forehead, leaving a large bruise. Deng Qianyuan shouted, "Can't
you stop now?" Cui Hong roared, "I'm still capable of fighting! Are you going to declare me the loser?" "According to the rules, in a
duel , it's inevitable that someone will be injured first. As long as that person still has the ability to fight back and refuses to admit defeat, no one else has any reason to make him
stop. Zou Jiangxia, having successfully struck with her flick, became bolder and said loudly, "Fine, if you refuse to admit defeat, then let's fight again." Zou Xijiu
shook his head, secretly fretting for his daughter.
Zou Jiangxia thought that Cui Hong, having been hit by one of her bullets, was no longer a threat. Little did she know that after being wounded, Cui Hong was as fierce as
an enraged lion , growing ever more powerful with each battle. His two judge's pens moved with the speed of a storm, completely
blocking Zou Jiangxia's escape routes in the blink of an eye. Zou Jiangxia, relying on her agile movements, dodged and weaved, temporarily unharmed, but the encirclement was shrinking, making a breakout
impossible.
Yang Liuqing was extremely anxious, wanting to tell her daughter to admit defeat, but unable to say it aloud. She wanted to go out and take her daughter's place, but her opponent was only a second-rate
fighter , and she feared being ridiculed if she went out herself. Seeing her daughter repeatedly encountering danger, Yang Liuqing was as anxious as an ant on a hot pan, utterly
restless.
But there was someone even more anxious than Yang Liuqing—Jiang Nan. He kept thinking to himself, "Oh no,
oh no , it's a pity I can't go down and help her!" The fight intensified. Cui Hong used a move called "Rainbow Piercing the Sun," his left hand using the judge's pen
to immobilize Zou Jiangxia's iron bow, while his right hand's judge's pen swiftly pierced through the crescent-shaped loop of the bowstring. Zou Jiangxia's iron bow was immobilized, and she could
only watch helplessly as the judge's pen was about to strike her face!
Jiang Nan was extremely anxious when suddenly he felt as if someone had breathed cold air on his neck. Jiang Nan let out a strange cry and fell off the beam
. In that instant, he suddenly felt his acupoints open up, feeling incredibly comfortable, and even more skillful than usual. He had just fallen onto Cui Hong's...
With a forceful slap on the head, Cui Hong cried out in pain, instantly shrinking halfway down. Before he could retaliate, Jiang
Nan casually struck the "Tianzhu" acupoint on the back of his neck. Cui Hong's two judge's pens flew from his hands, and he collapsed limply to the ground.
Jiang Nan's fall caused a stir throughout the room. Zou Jiangxia recognized him as Jiang Nan and, extremely surprised, asked, "Hey, how did you get here
?"
Jiang Nan chuckled, "Didn't I tell you before? If you need anything, just come to me! Now that you're
fighting , I had a sudden urge to come and help you!" He then stuck out his tongue and made a face. Zou Jiangxia covered her mouth and laughed,
"You're truly a strange person, and even more so, a wonderful one!" Jiang Nan knew in his heart that the "strange person" wasn't him, but the one who had secretly
brought here and then suddenly released his acupoints. Jiang Nan himself didn't understand how that person had released his
acupoints. Even stranger, among the dozens of pairs of eyes in the room,
it seemed that not a single person had noticed. Where was that "strange man" hiding? Was he Jin Shiyi?
A young couple, reunited after a long separation, began whispering sweet nothings in the arena. Hao Dasan's men were already cursing angrily.
The fat man shouted, "It's him! He's the one who killed Chief Zhao!" Xu Dayou roared,
picked up his coiled iron crutch, and charged forward. Someone else shouted, "Catch him! Ask who ordered him!" "Why are you causing
trouble ?" Jiang Nan bent down, picked up Cui Hong, and threw him away, shouting, "My father came to help, but he couldn't even withstand
a flick of my finger. Who can I blame? Fine, you all want to fight me? Come at me all at once, I'm not afraid!" Actually, he was afraid
, but Zou Jiangxia was beside him. He steeled his heart, thinking, "At most, I'll get a good beating from them, and I'll gain a
reputation !"
Seeing his comical and strange demeanor, and his nonchalant attitude, the men secretly wondered about his
background . Seeing that Jiangnan was just a callow youth, no one dared to rush forward and fight him after hearing his shout,
except refused to back down.
Hao Dasan, still suspicious, stared at his apprentice and asked, "Bah, was it this kid who beat you up?" The fat
man, afraid his master would call him a coward, quickly retorted, "Chief Zhao was strangled to death in just a few moves. His
pressure point technique is incredibly amazing!" Jiangnan, hearing this, was secretly pleased. He cupped his hands in greeting and said, "Thank you for your
support, brother. Next time you offend me, I won't hit you."
Xu Dayou flew into a rage and shouted, "Why did you assassinate my Brother Zhao?" Jiangnan originally wanted to explain that
he hadn't killed Zhao Tiehan, but then he thought, "That strange man, whether he's Jin Shiyi or not..." "Whether it's Jin Shiyi or not, he
saved my life. How can I confess to him? I might as well admit to being the murderer!"
So he said with certainty, "Hey, your words are ambiguous. Zhao Tiehan and I had a proper duel, and I
strangled him to death with a heavy blow. How can you say it was a sneak attack? Who told him to be less skilled?"
Xu Dayou angrily said, "You have quite the ability? Fine, I'll fight you one-on-one according to the rules of the martial arts world, to the death.
All the heroes here, I'm not using my strength to bully the weak. I'm only here to avenge Chief Zhao's tragic death!" He didn't say "to the death"
but "to the life of the dead," clearly intending to take Jiangnan's life.
Zou Jiangxia knew that Xu Dayou was one of the top figures in the Shandong underworld, and his martial arts skills far surpassed those of Cui Hong. She was
very worried about Jiangnan and was about to ask her father to intervene when Jiangnan said with a grin, "A restaurant owner isn't afraid of a big belly, and someone
who comes to help with the fight isn't afraid of a brawl, is he? Alright! What's your name, sir? I'll be happy to learn from you!"
While the two of them were arguing, the group of people that Hao Dasan had invited were watching the fat man and asking about how Jiangnan had strangled
Zhao Tiehan . The fat man gestured and emphasized Jiangnan's two sentences, saying that they were just third- or fourth-rate
characters in the Shandong underworld, which enraged the group of people, who shouted loudly.
Xu Dayou had also heard the fat man's words and was about to challenge Jiang Nan to "make a move!" But Jiang Nan politely asked him
, "What's your surname, sir?" Xu Dayou had no choice but to suppress his anger and loudly proclaim, "My surname is Xu, and my name is Xu Dayou. Remember that, and
go complain to the King of Hell about me. Quickly draw your weapon and face your death!"
As Jiang Nan was about to leave, Chen Tianyu, fearing his long sword would be an eyesore, only gave him a dagger for protection. Jiang Nan noticed that Xu Dayou's
coiled dragon iron crutch was long and large. "It must be incredibly difficult," Xu Dayou thought, "so I'd rather be generous and not use weapons." Hearing Xu Dayou finish speaking, he
immediately laughed, "I never use weapons until I meet a truly formidable opponent. Hey, remember this too, my name is Jiangnan,
the 'Jiangnan' of 'apricot blossoms and spring rain in Jiangnan.' I won't kill you; I'll leave you with this name so you can seek revenge later!" Jiangnan wasn't usually
so refined in his speech; the phrase "apricot blossoms and spring rain in Jiangnan" was something he'd borrowed from Chen Tianyu, deliberately using a literary flourish. Xu Dayou
was furious, shouting, "That's your own choice to die!" He
swung his crutch, striking down at Jiangnan's head! Jiangnan cried out, "Mommy, do you want me dead?" He jumped and screamed, but Xu Dayou's crutch missed
. It turned out that Jiangnan's skillful movement technique was something he'd stolen from his master. Chen Tianyu and his wife often practiced the Glacier
Sword Technique . The Glacier Sword Technique was exquisite and varied. Even though
Jiang Nan wanted to learn it secretly, he couldn't understand its mysteries. However, the Glacier Sword Technique emphasized lightness and agility, avoiding the opponent's strength and attacking their weakness. Jiang Nan didn't learn the sword technique, but he did learn a few techniques to dodge the
opponent Xu Dayou's iron crutch
was coming down on his head. Although the force was fierce, it was the easiest to dodge. Jiang Nan wanted to show off his skills. When his iron crutch was less than three inches above his head, he spun around, nodded, and disappeared. When he nodded at Xu Dayou,
he even grinned and made a funny face! Although the group of people that Hao Dasan had invited hated Jiang Nan, they couldn't help but burst into laughter when they saw his comical expression. Hao
Dasan's heart skipped a beat, thinking, "This kid's agility is remarkable. Could it be that he truly possesses extraordinary skills and is deliberately trying to sabotage me
?"
Xu Dayou's first strike missed, and hearing the uproar of laughter, he became furious, his face turning red. He immediately unleashed his Dragon Crutch technique, attacking
with increasing urgency. Jiang Nan only knew a few techniques to evade the opponent's attacks; how could he possibly withstand them? Fortunately, he possessed some cleverness and
adaptability, managing to dodge several more attacks even in dire circumstances. To the unsuspecting, he was indeed brilliant, having outmaneuvered
Xu Dayou . Those on Yang Liuqing's side cheered for him!
Xu Dayou's iron crutch unleashed a storm of power, growing increasingly fierce. Amid the cheers, he suddenly roared, swinging his iron crutch in
a wide arc, resembling a rainbow dragon, swooping down from the air, completely enveloping the two-zhang radius area in the hall
in ! Even the daring Jiang Nan panicked, thinking to himself, "Oh no, oh no! This is really going to kill me!"
"Damn it!" Just then, Xu Dayou's wrist suddenly felt as if it had been bitten by an ant, and he felt a slight pain. His iron crutch deflected slightly, and
Jiang Nan was inwardly cursing when he suddenly saw the iron crutch brush past his shoulder. Xu Dayou also seemed to lose his balance and
lean towards him. Jiang Nan had a sudden inspiration and, without thinking, casually flicked his wrist, striking Xu Dayou's "Xuanji" acupoint on his chest.
With a thud, Xu Dayou's tall body collapsed like a log. He knew perfectly well that he had been
ambushed, but he was speechless.
Xu Dayou's friends hurriedly dragged him back and tried to release his pressure points, but Jiang Nan's technique was a unique acupressure method taught by Jin Shiyi
, and no one else knew how to use it. Hao Dasan's eyesight was sharp; he saw that the point Xu Dayou had been acupressured was
the "Xuanji" acupoint on his chest, and he applied the release technique to the corresponding acupoint. If he hadn't released the acupoint, it would have been fine, but as soon as he did, Xu Dayou's
expression were icy cold to the touch. Hao Dasan was shocked and quickly stopped. Jiang Nan chuckled and said, "I
said I wouldn't kill him. After twelve hours, his acupoints will release on their own. What are you panicking about? But if you recklessly release his
acupoints and kill him, don't blame me!" Hao Da was furious and was about to go out and fight him when someone jumped out first.
Jiang Nan looked and saw that the newcomer was a scholar with red lips and white teeth, a handsome man. He held a folding fan in his hand and said with a smile,
"Young brother, your pressure point technique is indeed remarkable. Let me learn from you." Jiang Nan was already
impressed quickly clasped his hands in greeting, saying, "I dare not, I dare not! I, Jiang Nan, have only learned a few rudimentary skills. I hope you will be kind enough
to instruct me." He had no idea that this seemingly refined man was actually a notorious and ruthless womanizer
named Du Ping. His fan-based pressure point technique was among the best in the five northern provinces. Having just witnessed a performance by Jiangnan
, who, despite his strange technique, was slow, Du Ping believed he could defeat Jiangnan. He intended to use Jiangnan's own methods against him,
preparing to display his prowess before the assembled heroes. He planned to use Jiangnan's most skilled pressure point technique to kill him.
On Yangliuqing's side, there was an old hero named Guo Conglong, who hated evil and lecherous thieves. Upon seeing Du Ping, he
flew into a rage, jumping up and shouting, "How can such a vile lecher be allowed to mingle here?" Du Ping laughed, "Old man Guo
, I didn't steal your daughter. Why are you so angry?" Guo Conglong slammed his hand on
the table with a loud "bang," his eyebrows furrowed, and shouted, "Young brother, step aside for now, let me teach this lecherous scoundrel a lesson!" Du Ping said,
"This brother has already agreed to spar with me, Old Man Guo, you know the rules, don't disrupt this place, okay?
I'll definitely learn from you in the next round!" Jiang Nan was shocked to hear that Du Ping was a lecherous scoundrel. He thought to himself, "This man has handsome features, how can he
be a villain? No wonder the young master always said you can't judge a book by its cover."
Although Du Ping had temporarily silenced Guo Conglong with words, he was genuinely afraid of incurring public wrath. He knew that Hao Dasan's men
wanted to take down Jiang Nan to avenge Zhao Tiehan and Xu Dayou, and thought to himself, "I'll take down this kid first, and that will win
their favor. That old bastard's Iron Sand Palm may be powerful, but I doubt it can defeat me." Having made up his mind, fearing Jiang Nan might back down, he immediately
tapped his fan on the back of his hand, bowed, and smiled, "Young brother, make your move!"
Jiang Nan, seeing his polite demeanor, though hating him for being a lecherous scoundrel, remembered another lesson Chen Tianyu had taught him:
"If someone treats you with respect, you must treat them with even greater respect. This is called reciprocity." So he respectfully bowed and
said , "I am young, you are old, so please instruct me first."
Du Ping said, "Of course. Of course, you're too kind. Too kind!" Before he could finish speaking, he pointed his fan and suddenly thrust it towards Jiang Nan's
ribs. The movement was swift as lightning, ruthless and precise. Even if Jiang Nan used all his skills, he
couldn't defend himself, especially since he was caught off guard. With a "snap," Jiang Nan's "Lung Healing Acupoint" was struck hard. This "Lung Healing Acupoint
" is one of the most dangerous points on the body. Jiang Nan was struck, but without even a groan, he fell backward. Zou Jiangxia screamed
in shock, and Guo Conglong slammed his fist on the table and cursed.
Du Ping held up his fan, bowed to all sides, and said loudly, "Since it's a martial arts competition, there will inevitably be casualties. How can you blame me?" The moment the words "little brother
" left his lips, a sudden gust of wind swept from behind him. Jiang Nan chuckled, "Not bad, not bad,
that's what I meant too." At that moment, Du Ping was looking away from Jiang Nan, never dreaming that the "dead" Jiang Nan could come back to life
and launch a sneak attack. Caught off guard, Jiang Nan struck his "Jianjing" acupoint hard, causing him to scream in pain and immediately faint.
Hao Dasan's men dragged him back, and although they later revived him, he had already been severely injured by Jiang Nan's acupoint strike, and his cartilage had
been crushed . His martial arts skills could never be restored. It turned out that when Jiang Nan was under Huangshi Daoren's tutelage, he had only learned
one move, "Inverting Acupoints." Du Ping striking his "fatal point" was like scratching a wound, but he took this opportunity to
feign death , ultimately crippling Du Ping. He had used this method before when punishing the fat man, but the fat man also
hated Du Ping for being a lecherous scoundrel, so he didn't remind him. This sudden change greatly surprised everyone present. Hao Haochang
glanced at Venerable Cangling and said, "This kid's background is a bit strange." Venerable Cangling didn't answer him, but instead
played with the iron arm over and over again.
Jiang Nan's victory this time was entirely due to his own skill, and he was extremely happy. Guo Conglong cupped his hands in thanks to him, saying, "You crippled this lecherous scoundrel
's martial arts; it's truly gratifying! I thank you." Jiang Nan replied, "I dare not, I dare not: this brat spoke rudely; I
was merely teaching him a lesson on behalf of you, sir." Guo Conglong stroked his beard and laughed loudly, "After the fight, we'll have a good drink together."
Hao Dasan pushed through the crowd, entered the arena, and shouted at Jiang Nan, "Do you dare to fight me again?"
Jiang Nan laughed, "I'll see this through to the end; since I've come to help, how can I not fight? Fight, fight,
of course!" Zou Xijiu stood up and said, "Jiang Nan, let me have this round; you've already fought two rounds, it's time for a rest
." It turned out that Hao Dasan was the number one expert among the Shandong outlaws, and Zou Xijiu knew he might not be able to defeat him, so he was eager to
replace Jiang Nan.
Jiang Nan, however, was in high spirits and refused to give up . She blurted out, "Those two cowards were easy for me to beat, why
would I need to rest? I haven't had my fill of fighting yet! Master Zou, I'm here to help you out, you can't stop me from fighting
!" Zou Xijiu shook his head, and Yang Liuqing whispered to him, "This situation is really strange today, let Jiangnan
try ." She knew Jiangnan's background and was already suspicious, but she didn't know who was behind it or
what strange method they were using to help him in secret.
Hao Dasan brandished a gleaming golden broadsword and said, "To see the real skill, we should fight with
weapons
. What weapon will you use?" Jiang Nan originally didn't want to use a weapon, but hearing Hao Dasan's words, which made it seem as if his previous two victories weren't based on real skill, he became annoyed.
Zou Xijiu then eagerly looked around and said, "Jiangnan, there are all kinds of weapons here. Go to the weapon rack and pick one that suits your needs
."
Jiangnan glanced at the weapon rack and suddenly laughed, "No need to choose, this one suits me perfectly." With a swift movement, he took
two steps forward and, in one swift motion, pulled out the sword from the skinny man standing behind Hao Dasan. The skinny man was Hao Dasan's
apprentice , who had just brought his master a knife and hadn't yet left. He never expected Jiangnan to snatch his weapon, and Jiangnan's actions
and expression made it seem as if he had his eye on the weapon on the rack and was about to take it, but instead, he took the skinny man's sword
unexpectedly . In truth, in terms of actual skill, the skinny man was slightly better than Jiangnan.
The skinny man was furious, but dared not retaliate while his master was nearby. Hao Dasan scolded, "Fool, get
out of here!" He assumed Jiang Nan was deliberately trying to humiliate him, so he decided to show off, brandishing his golden saber. The blade vibrated and
hummed , demonstrating his considerable inner strength. Zou Jiangxia, usually a fearless and stubborn girl, couldn't help but
worry for Jiang Nan.
But Jiang Nan himself wasn't worried. He remembered being sent here by that mysterious figure, vaguely
hearing him say in his ear, "Go ahead and fight, I guarantee you'll be famous throughout the world!" He guessed it was Jin Shiyi. "Jin Shiyi
is secretly helping me, who am I afraid of?" His only concern was knowing what swordsmanship to use to avoid revealing any weaknesses, as he had never
learned a complete sword technique.
Hao Dasan held his saber horizontally and shouted, "Advance!" Startled by the shout, Jiang Nan
jumped up in a daze and thrust his sword towards Hao Dasan's chest.
Hao Dasan was truly startled. It turned out that Jiang Nan had been forced to use the "Glacier Sword Technique," a technique developed by Gui Huasheng
and his wife after observing the flow of ice at a glacier. The ice on the surface of a glacier is so solid
that its movement is almost imperceptible, but beneath the ice, currents surge. The wonder of a glacier lies in the extreme stillness containing extreme movement.
Although Jiang Nan hadn't fully grasped the mysteries of the Glacier Sword Technique, he had seen it many times and his execution was surprisingly passable. Seeing Jiang Nan's unpredictable swordplay
, both light and heavy, Hao Dasan was so frightened that he retreated three steps, secretly lamenting, "I never imagined this kid was such a
master swordsman!"
Jiang Nan was overjoyed and pressed forward with another move, "Floating Starry Sky," his sword flashing, blocking Hao Dasan's retreat. Hao Dasan
had no idea how to parry, so he had no choice but to use his signature sword technique, "Three
Sheep
Bring Prosperity," intending only to deflect Jiang Nan's longsword. Jiang Nan, however, dared not let him break through, and quickly jumped aside, managing to counter with a move from the "Qingcheng Swordplay" taught by Xiao Qingfeng. This move from the Qingcheng Swordplay was much simpler than the Ice Glacier Swordplay, and Jiang Nan executed it with remarkable precision. Hao Dasan
was quite surprised , thinking, "This kid's martial arts are so varied, but why doesn't he continue with that superior swordplay?" Jiang Nan's Qingcheng Swordplay move
was half offensive and half defensive, concealing a fierce follow-up attack. Hao Dasan, unaware of its strength, dared not press too hard, and immediately withdrew his blade. Even
so, Jiang Nan's longsword, upon colliding with his golden saber, almost flew out of his hand!
Fortunately, among the various fist and sword techniques, there was a move called "Drunken Eight Immortals." Jiang Nan had seen Xiao Qingfeng use it before and found it amusing,
so he had learned a few moves from him. Now, startled by Hao Dasan's golden saber, he lost his footing and seized the opportunity to sway and perform the move
"Willow Swaying in the Wind," dancing and gesticulating wildly, just like a drunkard. Hao Dasan dared not press further . The onlookers
were
astonished Not a single person could see any flaw in it.
Hao Dasan, having tested Jiang Nan's skill and realized it wasn't high enough, became less wary of his bizarre swordsmanship. He grew
bolder Jiang Nan's swordsmanship was merely "all show and no substance," intimidating him more than his enemy. When Hao Dasan
swung his blade, Jiang Nan dared not meet it head-on, only retreating, inwardly cursing Jin Shiyi: "What are you doing? I'm getting desperate, and
you're not even helping me?"
After a while, Hao Dasan felt that Jiang Nan's swordsmanship was more for show than practical use, and became even bolder. He swung his golden blade in an
arc, suddenly encircling Jiang Nan's figure within its flashing light. The golden light shone brightly, exuding a chilling aura, terrifying Jiang Nan to the point of utter panic.
He thought to himself, "My life is over!" Suddenly, Hao Dasan shrugged his shoulders and sneezed,
causing the blade to pause, missing Jiang Nan. Jiang Nan was overjoyed and shouted, "Take this!" With a swift stroke, his sword
pierced a clear hole in Hao Dasan's arm. The pain caused Hao Dasan to throw away his golden knife, forcing him to admit defeat. Jiang Nan had decisively
defeated , achieving a glorious victory.
Zou Jiangxia grinned from ear to ear, Deng Qianyuan exclaimed "Brilliant!", Yang Liuqing and his wife were astonished, and Hao Dasan's men
were crestfallen , none daring to challenge Jiang Nan again.
Hao Dasan's martial arts were more than ten times superior to Jiang Nan's, so how could he have turned defeat into victory at the crucial moment? It turned out that just as his
sword was about to strike, a small insect seemed to crawl into his nostril, causing him intense itching and involuntarily making him sneeze
. The blade deflected slightly, and he was thus unwittingly wounded by Jiang Nan. Hao Dasan also suspected someone was plotting against him,
but as the top figure in the Shandong outlaws, it would be incredibly humiliating to be ambushed without realizing it
. Besides, being stabbed in front of everyone—who would believe it was an ambush? Therefore, Hao Dasan had no
choice but to swallow his anger, not daring to utter a single word.
Hao Haochang glanced at the Venerable Cangling. Master Zangling showed no intention of intervening. Instead, he advised Hao Haochang, "Master Hai
Ruo, in my opinion, let's end this duel here." Hao Haochang said, "Are we going to let this greenhorn
scare us away? Hmph, hmph, wouldn't that be a laughingstock?" Master Zangling said, "It's not that I'm afraid of this kid. I think your senior brother
has truly died in the glacier, and no one else is to blame." Hao Haochang said, "Even so, it's difficult to stop now.
If we stop, the martial world will just think we were all defeated by this kid." Master Zangling feigned helplessness, spreading his hands
and saying, "Alright, then go and try him again, but be careful!"
Hao Haochang was seething with anger. He had invited Master Zangling here hoping to rely on him as a backer, but Master Zangling had instead...
They urged him to call it quits, and their tone even seemed genuinely concerned that he might lose to Jiang Nan. Hao Haochang, unable to bear it any longer, leaped forward and
shouted, "Come, come, come! I'll have one last match with you! If I lose, not only will today's matter
end here, but my name will be forever erased from the martial world!"
Jiang Nan found his thunderous roar amusing, but everyone present was astonished. Hao Haochang was intentionally showing off
his martial arts. Every step he took left a clear imprint, and even the proud Yang Liuqing was speechless. The
ten martial arts figures she had invited, including Deng Qianyuan, felt inferior. Even those who wanted to step in Jiang Nan's place
dared not do .
Jiang Nan, still unconcerned, grinned at Hao Haochang and said, "Great monk, what do you want to compete
in? Just name your place, and I, Jiang Nan, will gladly oblige."
Hao Haochang, seeing his apparent confidence, was instead intimidated. To know Jiangnan's martial arts, though seemingly insignificant, are subtly wondrous, their brilliance lying in
their unpredictability and deception. While you might say his skill is low, his acupoint striking, glacier swordsmanship, and grappling techniques
are indeed superior. Even someone as experienced as Hao Haochang couldn't fathom the depth of Jiangnan's abilities. How could he
know that Jiangnan, who practiced martial arts before birth (see page 4 missing here), could never have mastered the long-lost "aerial
acupoint striking" technique!
Seeing his uncle, like himself, defeated by Jiangnan in a confused and inexplicable manner, Hao Dasan was both shocked and furious, and rushed
to his aid. The "Laughing Waist Point" is not a major acupoint on the human body and should be easy to undo. However, when Hao Dasan
pressed , Hao Haochang laughed even louder, tears and snot streaming down his face. He jumped and shouted wildly. When Hao Dasan tried to grab him, Hao Haochang
slapped him hard across the face, sending half of his testicles flying more than ten feet away. He barely managed to get up.
Jiang Nan, seeing this, knew that Jin Shiyi had
played a trick on him. He walked out with a grin, pointed at Hao Haochang, and said, "You jumped out of the circle first. You lost to me. Do you admit defeat?" Hao Haochang appeared crazy, but he was actually quite clear-headed. He had tried
to break through the acupoint several times but couldn't. He knew he was being restrained by someone using a unique acupoint-pressing technique. If he didn't get a solution, he might laugh himself to
death . He could only nod at Jiang Nan.
Jiang Nan chuckled, "Since you admit defeat, I'll spare you." He picked up a chopstick from the table, walked
behind on the back of the neck. Hao Haochang's laughter immediately stopped, and he gasped for breath.
This surprised the crowd even more, with everyone thinking, "So this kid really knows how
to , and once he strikes a pressure point, no one can undo it!"
Just then, Hao Haochang, having caught his breath, suddenly roared, slamming his hand on the table and cursing, "You bastard who plotted against me,
come out here !" He grew angrier with each curse, turned around, grabbed an iron weapon from the weapon rack, and charged two steps towards Jiang Nan.
Zou Xijiu, Deng Qianyuan, Monk Leiyin, and others were enraged. They blocked Jiang Nan's path, shouting, "You've already admitted defeat, are you still
going to cause trouble?" "Aren't you going to abide by the rules of martial arts competitions?" "If you touch him, we'll fight you to the death!" On Hao Dasan's
side , someone also cried out, "Master Hai Ruo, you mustn't! You mustn't!"
Just as the shouts were raging, Hao Haochang roared again, and a piece of iron flew out, but instead of hitting Jiang Nan,
it struck the roof with a loud "boom," instantly creating a large hole in it. It turned out that Hao Haochang already knew that it wasn't
Jiang Nan , but someone else. He hadn't been struck by some strange martial art of "acupoint striking in mid-air," but by a tiny hidden weapon
piercing his acupoints. Judging from his senses, the "bastard" who had ambushed him was probably lying on the roof.
With the roof smashed open, bricks and mortar rained down. Suddenly, something fell into Jiang Nan's hands, and Jiang Nan instinctively reached out to examine it.
Upon closer inspection, it was a small silver bottle, about five inches tall. In that instant, a long howl erupted from the rooftop, like the roar of a tiger or the cry of a dragon,
making everyone's eardrums ring. Jiang Nan cried out, "Jin Shiyi! Master Jin!" Without bothering to see
what was inside the bottle, he tried to leap onto the roof, but Hao Haochang was faster.
With a swift movement, he smashed through the roof and leaped into the air, seemingly intending to escape through the hole and chase after the person who had ambushed him. But as soon as he
jumped, everyone heard a scream…
Hao Haochang seemed to be struck head-on by a heavy object, tumbling from mid-air, blood gushing out, lying paralyzed on the ground.
Suddenly, the Venerable Cangling shouted, "Poisonous Hand Mad Beggar, don't you want to meet me?" His movements were incredibly fast; he unfurled the large red robe he wore
, and everyone's eyes lit up. He seemed to rise from the ground like a red cloud, suddenly emerging from the crack.
This series of events happened so suddenly that everyone was stunned and bewildered. Jiang Nan cried out, "Master Jin,
my young master misses you terribly! I, Jiang Nan, miss you even more than he does! Wait for me!" Ignoring the danger, he leaped
out of the cave.
Just then, they heard Jin Shiyi recite loudly: "I've grown accustomed to the scorn of the world, what use is the rest of my life? I wish to ascend to the heavens and pluck the
stars , to fill the Eastern Sea and calm its waves!" These were the lines of poetry Jin Shiyi had left on the Himalayas before his disappearance, lines that Jiang Nan
had heard Chen Tianyu recite before. The recitation, at first, seemed to be right beside him, but by the last line,
it was like a wisp of smoke in the air, intermittent and faint, the sound seemingly coming from miles away.
Jiang Nan stood on the rooftop and looked out, seeing the Milky Way shining brightly and the moon in the sky. Looking into the distance, a faint red shadow could be seen on the hillside
—the crimson robe of the Venerable Cangling. Jin Shiyi, however, had vanished without a trace. In the blink of an eye, the red shadow, like a wisp of
cloud , was scattered by the wind.
Jiang Nan knew he could never catch Jin Shiyi and felt deeply saddened. Suddenly, he heard a soft voice behind him say, "Brother
Jiang Nan , thank you so much tonight!" Jiang Nan turned around and saw that Zou Jiangxia and her mother had also jumped onto the roof. Jiang
Nan had been victorious all night and was in high spirits. He had prepared many things to say to Zou Jiangxia. But now,
unable to see Jin Shiyi, he was listless and, contrary to his usual talkative nature,
couldn't utter a single word of praise to Yang Liuqing and her mother.
Zou Jiangxia laughed, "Jiangnan, what happened to you? You look like a gourd with a sawed-off mouth!" Yang Liuqing came over and patted his shoulder,
praising him, "Little rascal, it's been years! Your martial arts have improved so much!" Jiangnan said with a bitter face, "Jiangxia, I dare not lie to
you. I didn't win; Jin Shiyi secretly helped me." Zou Jiangxia laughed, "That monster Jin Shiyi actually helped you.
It's truly unexpected. But even so, your martial arts are indeed much better than before." Jiangnan felt slightly
pleased by her praise, but immediately defended Jin Shiyi, saying, "No, he's not a monster. I know him; his heart is as good as mine!"
Zou Jiangxia chuckled, "You two seem to be quite close. Hmm, I just saw him throw something to you from afar." Jiang Nan then
remembered the silver bottle Jin Shiyi had tossed him. He quickly pulled it out and saw three emerald-green pills inside. Yang Liuqing
suddenly exclaimed, "Hey, these are the Jade Spirit Pills from Tianshan! They're detoxifying pills made from Tianshan snow lotus. Not only can they detoxify,
they can also increase one's power. Could it be that Jin Shiyi stole them from Tianshan? He actually gave you three Jade Spirit Pills; their friendship is
truly deep! It's true what they say, people make friends, and you, lad, have such good fortune!" Indeed: Delighted to receive the elixir to heal the wounded, yet worried about
finding no trace of him.
